waajfmflfm working on some groupchat au while thinking about Yuya Sakaki Trans because me and another mutual are both rotating it in our minds and I have literally no space for it in my wip but Yusaku being the one to make Yuya finally have Gender Thoughts

Yuya being perfectly comfortable with doing traditionally feminine things, tracking down a xe/xyr criminal whose avatar is a seven foot tall androgynous woman and finding depressed teen who wears flaking nail polish and hasn't buzzed his undercut in weeks. Who's perfectly comfortable flipping between identities like some sort of gender amphibian, because the contradiction means she's not tied down, xe has anonymity. And Yuya who's been clinging so hard to being Yusho Sakaki's son, who's been trying so desperately to fill that space in his life where a father should be, meeting someone who thrives on having no past, on being confusing, and seems to have found a real peace in all his appearances. Like. The performer who's never considered another role and this actor whose found a home in the transient nature of internet forums. The kid clinging so desperately to her parents versus the hacker who has none. Traditional gender roles and the the overlapping queer spaces of theatre and internet culture. Am I making sense. Meeting Yusaku is Yuya's Trans Awakening and I have nowhere to put it in Sakaki Alone 2: Lost In New York but I am THINKING ABOUT IT.

Okay softly lies the night is a fic where Scrooge and Goldie get rained out of work mining, where the storm is bad enough that even Scrooge calls it, and they bitch through the day and he thinks shes teaching him how to cheat at cards when in reality she's teaching him a terrible method that will absolutely get him busted and they play for dry beans instead of cash and he tells her about his sisters and how he sends them money and letters but he doesn't really know them, and they have a whole talk about strangers and how to talk to them etc, and she asks him what he would say in a letter to her, and it gets very quiet and they argue about tea leaves vs bags and there's no way he's going back to the woodshed tonight to sleep, and she makes a sarcastic pass that is less sarcastic than he thinks it is before he pushes the wooden chairs together and sleeps on them.

(I'd already written 90% this months ago I'm just slapping this great title on it, this is a trust exercise, please don't yoink it from me hashtag I'm reserving writing rights)

I keep wanting to make posts, but I get distracted with things. Like biting my nails. Instead of making the posts I want to make, I've spent the last few minutes just biting at my nails instead. Which is upsetting. Because nail-biting is a bad habit I picked up from my dad, and i'm frustrated it's keeping me from typing and making the posts I want to make. It's all very agitating. Just to be blunt, it agitates me that I can't make the posts I want to make. Because I know some of the posts I want to make. It's just all a matter of working up the energy to make the posts.
