i know that atsv and spiderverse in general is probably not including Gabe for various reasons and therefore when Mig took his alt selfs place he wasnt actually leaving anyone behind. he said something along the lines of “i found a universe where i was happy” which kinda screams that something was fucked up with his home one, i’d like to think more than usual because the other explanation is that he just left like all his family behind. Which is extremely messed up but also on the other hand a little funny

like imagine being gabe here. Imagine your older brother fucks off to another universe because of his depression and comes back with even worse depression ranting some shit about canon events. oh shit hey i just twigged that a new book coming out soon might necessitate a reminder that kc's Various Funding Efforts have a book club tier (essentially: you get anything i send to print while you're supporting). I’ve settled on a couple things (& also to catch y’all up a bit on the AU which I’m gonna use the tag at the end so y’all feel free to take a dive into it):

Helena & Renee do keep pulling Steph back n forth on the whole vengeance vs justice issue. I’m looking for Steph’s character progression to be still fairly similar to her canon arc, just through the lense of having mentors who ACTUALLY care abt getting her on the right path & giving her the outlet that she was begging for lol

Steph doesn’t die!!! She doesn’t become Robin or Batgirl either, all of them are more bop-aligned than bat-aligned but they still help when the whole city’s in Disaster Mode™️ obvsly

Speaking of, kinda still debating bumping up NML in what’s usually my personal canon/timeline amalgamation in my brain (NML being the kinda inciting Incident for Helena & Renee to take Steph in, it’s kinda Bombshells-like in that respect I think 😅 Altho it also means rip Crystal probably 😭😭😭 I’m kidding, I’m cooking up a whole dramatic reunion!!! )

Idk we’ll see) also similarly, Renee stepping away from GCPD & becoming the next Question being bumped up. (Possibly Vic mentoring her even while a detective??? I’m playin around with the idea!!)

How Helena & Renee meet prior to gaining A Whole Steph is another question I’m not prepared to answer!!! But we’ll figure it out!!!

Okayy so Justin is Green Diamond and Lawrence is a Lazulite. I don't know anything about lazulites. I literally just search a gem with the letter L loll and chose the one that looked cool.

Anywayss what I thought was a particular corrupted gem has been causing discord by destroying supplies, property, and he's been hurting other gems. So this particular corrupted gem is disrupting progress and order, and Green Diamond fuckin hates that shitt. So he organizes a group of strong gems to hunt down this particular corrupted gem and capture him. That's where Lazulite comes in. He was selected and is the latest members. He is introduced to Green Diamond and has never seen him before. Idk maybe Green Diamond doesn't go out often I have no fuckin idea. Lazulite is enamoured by his beauty and becomes determined to know him jskjsksk

I don't actually know how they get together, but they do or something. I don't know how to build their relationship casually lmaoo.

I did thought that later on Lazulite learns more about the particular corrupted gem and becomes conflicted as he can not bring himself to capture him, but if he doesn't, he fears disappointing Green Diamond.
