my ACEN tip gimmick has been fulfilled, aaand i got a little carried away with it. VAMPIRE SKULL! :)

this is actually a super old drawing from like 2016 but it still holds up pretty well i think. reference was just the first thing i found when i googled skull. and then i made the canines extra pointy lol

#i tended to really go ham on outlines back then. i loooooved dark outlines #that was a stylistic choice and not a mistake. there ARE a lot of actual mistakes in here tho #for example i chickened out and didnt make the teeth long enough. teeth look much longer without the gums covering them!#anyway still pretty good i think! maybe i will redo this soon and compare #skull #traditional art #vampire #pencil and paper #rib art #rib bits #<- personal tags #oh also um #goth #i think the shadows r good in this still for the most part. got the bounce light on the right side of the cranium #but also still fun and loose! scribbly while capturing the form. i hope i can still find that balance again #my next drawing will be something other than forward-facing portrait with teeth-focus i promise

umemiya being used to taking care of himself and everyone else, especially when it comes to bandaging and disinfecting his own wounds after whatever fight he finds himself in. so he can’t help but look at you with such fondness when you insist on patching him up yourself, regardless of what time of day it is or what you’re doing. he just sits there and lets you work, and he has to admit that it’s nice to be looked after for once. you could tell that man to strip down to his underwear, yknow, for medical purposes ofc bc how are you supposed to get to the scrapes on his knees and hips, and he would. he knows what you’re doing, but he still pulls off his shirt without complaint anyway. first draft of xor (logic gate placeholder name, im gonna try to incorporate techy stuff into their design) + a past testing ref sheet where half of the lineart is original and half is reused from other drawings + the current pose and overall shape im gonna use for his actual ref whenever i get to finish it lol
