We’ve seen how crazy yet lowkey romantic the Beetlebabes wedding is, so that makes me wonder: what do you suppose their wedding night would be like?

I have to say I hadn't thought about this one yet! How could their wedding night go?! Hmm... Let's muse about it for a bit then! ✨

It looked like he really enjoyed being tossed around by Delores on their wedding night, and he went pretty wild himself. But what I see in that scene is that Betelgeuse is a man who will match your freak. So whatever Lydia's freak is, this man will match it. I think he's the kind of man who will very enthusiastically let his lady do to him whatever she wants in bed, and he'll make sure she's enjoying herself. But Lydia better be ready, because, you better believe it, he's gonna bring his own freak too. 😏

There will be a lot of tender loving as well, no doubt. Beej has been waiting for this night for years, and Lydia, I'm sure has never been loved the way Beej loves her (sorry Richard, you can't be compared lol), and he's gonna pour all of that love and desire onto her with a passion Lydia didn't think possible. He's gonna worship her body in a way she's never experienced before, I'm sure. This girl is gonna learn some things for the first time ever in her 50s.

I’m curious, Do you have a favorite timeline/world state from among all the different aus you’ve written over the years? Which ones do you think ended up with the best/happiest world? Or the worst world? Lol sorry if I’m coming off as a reading comprehension test…I’m bad at wording things without being too specific but I’m just interested to know what reflections you may have on your body of AU work. There’s so much of it by now! If you’d like to share.

Hmmm.

If I had to choose a favorite AU as in "I like how it came out," it'd probably be the one where Tom and Melissa escape together, or the Into the Spider-Verse style AU. Since I take an evil delight in creatively misinterpreting prompts, I probably had the most fun when writing the juvie hall AU and the Pixar AU — those both kind of wrote themselves. On the other end of the spectrum, the one where Marco is Deaf and the one where Jake's stuck as a tiger were fun because they required more background work, but interesting background work — both prompts happened to be right in my Goldilocks zone of being close to my own experience and relatively easy for me to research, where Jake being stuck as an eel or Marco being blind wouldn't have been.

I guess I don't have a favorite or least-favorite outcome. I honestly prefer the canon ending to any one that I've written. And if I dislike a possible ending (e.g. everyone ending up controllers) then I simply don't write it.

Oh boy 😅 Please take my opinions on Kierkegaard for what they're worth considering I've taken exactly one class on him, and that was in spring 2020 so you can imagine how conducive the environment was to learning...

Kierkegaard is famously difficult in large part because he doesn't want to tell you what he thinks most of the time. He writes in a lot of different forms and styles, and a lot of his best known works are under pseudonyms, each of which represents a different persona. He's very concerned with issues of human experience - ethics, the development of the virtues, the process of forming one's identity - and he doesn't think there's a "view from nowhere" for that: you have to consider it all from a first-personal perspective. All the personas are tools for imaginatively putting yourself in different pairs of shoes. In that respect reading Kierkegaard (at least the pseudonymous writings, I'm less familiar with the writings published in his own name) is a lot more like reading literature than reading most philosophy - he doesn't say what you should think about and why so much as take you along on the journey of looking at life through the eyes of characters who are living it in different ways.

(That's why I find him so hard. I enjoy reading literature and poetry but I've never had the ability to get it - you need to give me premises and a conclusion before I can get a handle on what you're trying to communicate. If you're better at literature you'll probably get more out of him than I can)

genuine question about your organic metal stuff. In the future is there two metals or did Sage just rebuild their body? Like is the one in the future still mentally the same metal sonic?

Sage rebuilt and reprogrammed them with spare Metal Sonic parts. It’s the same Metal Sonic from the past but files/memories of their battles with Sonic were erased.
