+ About and P.A.Q. (Possibly Asked Questions)

Q: How did this come to be? This came into my mind as I was thinking about my Jujutsu Kaisen Original Character, Shiori Yamada. She is from my JJK Canon Compliant fanfic, Sand and Snow. I thought: what if she came to Jujutsu High years after the events of Sand and Snow? And that's where it started.

Q: What's the difference between the short stories and the one-shots? Mostly, I usually have a long or dedicated main plot in my short stories, whereas in the one-shots, what is written is much more focused on an excerpt of the characters' interactions.

Q: what is the best way to read this? I wrote it in a way that basically all one-shots can be read as stand-alone pieces (same for each short story). Just read in the chronological order of events, as listed above.

Q: is it the same f!reader in all of these stories? Yes, it is The reader is based off of my Original Character, Shiori. I didn’t intend to make her a staple, but just liked the character too much to let it slide. I’ll eventually make a reference sheet with her story (as soon as I finish Sand and Snow, to avoid spoilers).

There are some things I want to put here because as an anxious writer, I like when other writers do this.

1. this is my COPIUM from the trauma I have endured during JJK (thanks Gege), so no matter what, THERE WILL BE A HAPPY ENDING for all characters. I just like the bumpy road, makes the happiness at the end feel worthwhile.

2. I decided to one-shot the ending. However, the long fic based off of this universe will probably have a slightly different and bigger one. There are many things (protagonist’s power journey, lore, her backstory, actual big plot that I have planned, etc) that I really want to write on the long fic, and didn’t find a way of doing so in these one-shots and short stories.

3. I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but I began cross posting these on AO3. The link is on the top.

4. The Big Sad™ and The Big Feels™ are about to get started. I’ll just finish up some one-shots first and then proceed with them. There will be angst, but a lot of fluff too.

Random thoughts and fun facts from the author that absolutely no one asked for but I wanted to write anyway

Themes are... guilt, forgiveness, grief, and life after loss, I guess? Idk, I like writing characters interacting and growing with each other, so I just give them their trauma and let them work through it.

I first got inspired to write HiguReader when I listened to “Loser, Baby” from Hazbin Hotel. They’re both so over Jujutsu High’s shit and vibe on that shared contempt that I just loved the concept of it.

I was terrified writing my first smut piece (The Man who Played with Fire), and I’m astonished at how well it was received. You guys are the best, seriously.

I got inspired by some very talented authors on this site to write non-explicit sex scenes, and will try doing it in two or three one-shots, where there is sex involved, but I don’t think smut would fit very well.

Writing smut as a demisexual person is an entire experience, let’s just say that.

From the very beginning, I just found it impossible in my heart to ship or even hint at shipping OC/Reader and Gojo. Also, as a NM person who doesn’t appreciate rigid hierarchy of romantic x platonic relationships, I wanted to write more on becoming friends with Gojo. However, from what I could see when writing these fics and shorts, this will end up mostly in the long fic.

I STRUGGLE with headers so damn much. I don’t like using fanart (shy to ask for permission), and finding good fitting anime frames/manga panels is usually a little difficult without becoming too repetitive. I’ll just try my best making headers for the AU stories moving forward.

I like writing strong, capable, willful female characters who are secure of themselves and have got some rizz iykwim. Dainty female characters are really not my thing when it comes to writing.

Writing in 2nd person is still a challenge for me. I was used to writing in 1st person in a Lispectoresque style when I wrote ten years ago.

TS2 CC downloaders & creators discussion recap

Under the cut is a recap of the feedback gathered from the comments, community replies and reblogs on this thread. Thank you for taking the time to give your input! I tried to organize everything clearly in categories, with what was most often brought up at the top of each. I hope I didn’t forget anything. If I did, or you feel I didn't do your point justice, or you didn’t get a chance to say your piece, feel free to comment (I can always make edits). The text in brackets [] is my own remarks that I'm adding to the report.

About CC in general:

The people clamored for clear swatches/pictures that show which file corresponds to which recolor, so we can pick and choose what to keep.

Many people would like creators to put their usernames in their file names (or object descriptions) so they are easier to trace back to later. Two creators had counterpoints to this. One who has a long username said: “as a creator, I don't like to be told how I should name my files (besides identifying the thing clearly, which I think we really should do). If I've made the effort to make a thing, take previews, upload it, write the post etc. Just spend 5 seconds of your life renaming the file to whatever is convinient to you, I'm not going to add 16 characters to each of my files to include my username (I still think that longer names = longer loading time).” The other creator said: “As a creator, I don't want to put my full username in tooltips (just SB) because some hair names are quite long and I do not have the time to re tooltip the names.”

On the topic of file names, many people agreed that creators should not put special characters and spaces in their file names, to optimize loading times. One creator clarified: “the filenames should always have _ instead of spaces, as apparently this allows the game to load them easier/faster [...] underscores should be the only kind of special character in them” [use the Bulk Rename Utility - see tutorial by @ilovethesims2cc].

Still on file names, a Mac user said they dislike when file names are too long because apparently long file names are enough for Macs to shit themselves [sorry if I misunderstood, never had a Mac].

Several people mentioned disliking poorly optimized CC (one person listed: “bulky for no reason, unused bump maps, comically large or duplicated textures, things that could easily be repo'd but are not”), one person pointed out: “There is no reason a TS2 object needs a texture bigger than 1024x1024 unless it’s a special case like a skybox.”

One person said they dislike when a CC post lacks basic text info about what the download is. On this note, another person said they dislike when a creator isn’t clearly stating what mesh their recolors are for.

Two people asked that creators state their stuff’s polycounts.

Two people said they dislike when the recolors for a piece of CC are only available merged together, as they want to be able to easily choose which they want to keep. On the other hand, someone who “takes all recolors anyway” said they would like creators to offer a merged version of their recolors [you can merge CC to reduce loading times using LazyDuchess’s CC Merger].

One person recommended avoiding just using “here” as hyperlink text, but instead describing what you are linking to, so that if the link gets broken we still have a chance to find the thing. In the same vein, they and another person advised against reliance on an image alone to give info about the download. As we know, images can disappear, and a Google search won’t lead to the item if your post has no text that Google can detect.

About the images that creators do show, one person mentioned a download not having a proper preview as their pet peeve. On previews, two people recommended that the piece of CC be clearly visible and the main focus. Two people said they like when a preview of the item is included in the archive (“helpful when looking through old CC”).

One person said they appreciate when creators give two download links to two different hosting platforms, in case one of them ever breaks.

One person asked for creators to always test their stuff before uploading [it should go without saying but we do see egregious things to this day]. Their pet peeve is “CC with obvious issues that can’t have been tested properly in game! Don’t just look at it in build mode or bodyshop, actually use the item in live mode. Have a Sim wear the clothing or use the object!” They pointed out as an example that some CC lights don’t light up. Someone else said: “if there are minor imperfections, that's ok! But let your downloaders know what to expect.”

One person said that they enjoy reading detailed descriptions of CC: “Share your inspos, what went wrong, tag the pieces you used if you are Frankenmeshing because I might want those items too! Creating and sharing is deeply personal, don't be afraid to share a part of who you are in your downloads if you feel comfortable doing so.” [If I may offer a slight counterpoint, I think detailed technical info + proper crediting should always be frontloaded. And then, in a separate paragraph, you can write about how you made this because your grandma used to wear something similar on those cool autumn days back when you were 6. But please, don’t expect your audience to have to parse through your life story to get the basic info they need to even understand what the download is.]

On subfolders: one person mentioned that they dislike when individual files are placed in subfolders; someone else said they don’t like many subfolders within an archive; a third person said that when downloading a ‘bulk’ CC pack, they dislike when each item has its individual subfolder (unless the object has dozens of recolors).

One person said they dislike downloads that include a large number of things that aren’t all part of a single coherent set.

One person said they dislike gift/mega packages that don’t give the possibility to pick and choose what you’re downloading.

One person asked that creators compressorize their CC, unless there is a good reason for not doing so, reason that should be stated [yes please! Use jfade’s Compressorizer, found on this page].

One person said they like when creators who make recolors give a link to the mesh they are recoloring whenever possible, even if the mesh is included.

One person mentioned appreciating when creators include base PSDs in their downloads [they were talking about hair specifically but I suppose it can be done for other things too].

About Bodyshop CC specifically:

Many people mentioned disliking when a piece of clothing lacks a fat morph (as one person put it: ✨“its literally bigotry”✨ [iconic]), or has a fat morph that's blatantly a quickly WSO’d afterthought. Someone said: “Absurdly shaped/clipping fat morphs that were most probably never tested in game before uploading are pretty annoying”; someone else said: “I make male content and am constantly flabbergasted by some of the UM Top fat morphs that make no attempt to align with Bottom items, or look completely ridiculous. [...] WSOs are a great starting point, but that's just it: a starting point" [I couldn’t agree more]. One person added that clothes should also have preg morphs.

One person really wants tooltips. Someone else further asked that creators give actually helpful tooltips to their recolors to make it easier to identify which recolor corresponds to which file [you can use CatOfEvilGenius’s Tooltip utility to give your recolors tooltips that correspond to their file names].

One person mentioned gaps in meshes being their #1 pet peeve [putting this in this section because I’m assuming they’re referring to Bodyshop CC].

One person asks that creators give their accessories unique BIN numbers to make them layerable with other accessories.

The same person would like creators to remember to delete the inapplicable ages in their accessories [this also goes for hairs].

The same person also appreciates when creators make custom thumbnails for their accessories, “especially for accessories that are not on the face”.

The same person said: “Accessories that are 'part of the sim' (like ears, tails, etc.) should be showerproof”. Another person had the same request: “Body part accessories (such as animal ears, tails, horns, wings) should be available for all types of clothing.”

One person appreciates when hair meshers specify if their hair is animated or not.

One person would like to see more hairs for toddlers and children.

For geneticized skintones, one person said they find it helpful when the genetic number is indicated in the file name.

About Build & Buy CC specifically: 

Several people said they dislike when CC objects are set to an absurd price (like a couch for 1 simoleon) [this can be fixed with Pick’N’Mix’s Object Relocator], and two people added that they dislike when an object’s price isn’t congruent with their stats (like when an expensive bed has a low energy score). A creator further said: “whats worse is sometimes items are cloned from a very expensive item, and then the creator has reduced the stats shown in the description, but the bhav still has very high ratings, or sometimes it can be the other way around, an item might have been cloned from a cheap one, then their displayed stats are set to 10 but the bhavs still have low ratings”.

Three people said that they really appreciate when creators state which category their object is in and what the price is. One person said they appreciate when creators give info about how their object functions (“Is it just deco? Does it have hobby enthusiasm?” etc.). For complex objects, they like when there’s a video to show how it works. 

One person said they dislike when creators place objects in categories that don’t make sense. Someone said more specifically that they like when objects are put in categories other than deco/sculptures or deco/misc.

One person said they dislike blank object descriptions or object descriptions that were left the same as that of the Maxis object that the piece of CC was cloned from.

One person said they don’t like when objects aren’t enabled for quarter-tile placement [can be fixed in simPe or with the Object Relocator].

One person said they dislike non-functional objects (like a sofa that’s a sculpture).

One person brought up two experiences they and their friend had with CC beds that didn’t have unique GUIDs and therefore would override other beds. In the same vein, someone else said they dislike when a creator forgets to mention that their CC is not custom but default and will override something in the game.

One person encourages creators to learn about the TXMT settings of objects (e.g. should an object be reflective?) and praised @pforestsims and @shastakiss for their CC in that regard. Another person said they dislike when an object is too shiny, which is also a TXMT setting.

One person said they dislike “transparent cut out textures”. [I quote because I’m clueless about this:] “I’ve seen this a lot on TS3 or other game conversions, where the texture has been imported without enabling transparency, and you get ugly squares around draw handles and such. Import the texture as DXT 5 and enable AlphaTest in the TXMT.”

One person said they like when 4t2 conversions have several subsets.

The Mac user among us would like creators to resize their walls and floors for Macs, otherwise they show up grey in game.

"shall we then?" he gestured to the living area. you didn't need to be asked twice, you skipped your way onto the couch and he followed suite albeit, with more grace. you curled into his frame and his arm went around you. it was his turn to pick something to watch tonight and unsurprisingly he had picked the history channel. you're sure he's seen every episode already, yet he still sat there humming and going 'wonderful' or 'very interesting'. you leaned your head against the side of your chest and his hand snaked itself on the back of your head, running his fingers through your hair.

you unwrapped the chocolate in the meantime, it looked like it was expensive on the wrapping alone. kiyo really did enjoy to spoil you. you snap a piece off, then raising the bar to korekiyo who absentmindedly snapped a piece off for himself and it disappeared through his mask when you went to look. you tore off another piece and plopped it into your mouth. the chocolate was bitter as you would expect, it wasn't bad at all however. You ate a third piece, putting the chocolate on the coffee table if kiyo wanted more although he seemed more interested in the show right now.

it was about 30 minutes in that you felt a tightness in your stomach and you were feeling quite warm. you looked around to see if the heating was on but that wasn't so... it was the middle of winter; why were you so hot? you saw korekiyo shift in his seat for the first time in half an hour, taking his hat off his head and setting it on the table. as you looked at him, you could see his forehead was glistening. "are you feeling hot too?" you asked, he glanced to you and finally noticed that you were quite red. "yes, just a little but I am wearing layers... you are dressed less than me yet..." he laid the back of his hand on your forehead. "you're burning up..." his gold eyes observed the rest of you, he spied that your chest was heaving slightly and you were fidgeting like if you had an itch you couldn't quite get rid of. "are you alright?" he asked with his voice laced with concern.

"I.. I don't feel sick, just... hot... strange?" you squeezed your thighs together and his eyes glinted as he noticed this. he looked at the coffee table and picked up the chocolate bar. korekiyo stared at the ingredients, perhaps you were allergic to something? however, as he read on he came to a full realisation. he chuckled lowly, closing his eyes in a sense of satisfaction. "it appears... I have made the common human mistake... of not reading the fine print." he looked to your confused face. "this chocolate is in fact, an aphrodisiac..."

your jaw was slack. "w-what...?!" you began to whine. "kiyooooo... I ate three of those..." he chuckled at your despair in front of your pouting face. he waved a hand. "it'll be okay, dear. I'm positive that the effect will wear away soon. just relax and do not think about it." you slumped on the couch, letting out a heavy sigh. this was his fault and he wasn't even feeling the effect of the chocolate as much as you were... this was literally unfair.

you tried, you really did. each passing minute was absolute torture as the hotness inside of you kept throbbing and building up over time. you crossed your legs, wiggled your hips, curling and uncurling yourself. you bet that you looked rather silly next to korekiyo who just leaned his elbow against the arm of the sofa, eyes trained on the TV screen. he was still sweating and red in the face, but compared to you he was an unmoving shape. you cleared your throat to hide the groan that wanted to come out of you, nails digging into your pants as your breathing simply got heavier and heavier. you were about to cry out 'I can't take it anymore!' until long fingers grasped your thigh.

"my darling..." korekiyo whispered in your ear, even through his mask you felt his warm breath against your skin. you shuddered, eyes darting down to his hand on your thigh then to his face. his serpent eyes observed your face and every detail on it, somehow that made you even more aroused. "you can not hold on any longer, can you?" he asked with a cock of his head. he was smug... he knew that it was his fault you were this way, it was his mistake yet he was relishing in your crazed state. he enjoyed watching how your eyes darted around, the sweat rolling down your face; the way your shaking leg felt in his hand. he enjoyed it, thoroughly.

finally, you swallowed the lump in your throat and you nodded feverishly. "I-I can't.. can't handle it anymore, kiyo..." you whined, eyes completely glossed over. "please get rid of this pain..."

you saw his eyes narrow once you said that. you couldn't even make out what kind of expression he was making, whether he was smiling or frowning. either way, he knew he felt the same by the shape in his pants. "oh..." he sighed, dramatically leaning his cheek into his hand. "what a beautiful song that is, yes... hearing you utter your pleads and begs... reminds me of a song I once-"

"kiyo!!"

he was a smug bastard but he knew better than to push your buttons especially when you are in this state. with an amused crease in his eyes he pulled you into his lap, your back against his front as both your frames fit together perfectly. "i can already feel your excitement just from where I'm sat..." he dragged a finger up your inner thigh and you arched your back against him, letting out the cutest whine for him. however, he brought his hands away from your legs and settled them on your waist. "tsk.. tsk... this is what happens when you get hasty with your chocolate, my dear." you were getting impatient and getting tired of his teasing. you whimpered, staring to roll your hips into his lap just to feel something even if it was through clothing. you heard him groan just a bit behind you and it sent shivers up your spine. one of his hands on your waist travelled upwards under your shirt, your skin felt so hot against his touch and if he didn't know any better he would assume you were terribly ill. your stomach muscles flexed and twitched under his touch, you couldn't even bite back the moan that escaped you when his fingers traced your ribs.

"sensitive, are we?" he chuckled, pressing his lips underneath your earlobe. when did he take his mask off? "b-be quiet..." you grumbled, only to get punished by his fingers touching your chest. your breath hitched in genuine shock when his hand escaped from your shirt. "k-kiyo-" you were cut off from his hand grasping your chin, squeezing your cheeks with his index and thumb. for a lanky guy, he sure has a strong grip. you heard a familiar snap and the taste of chocolate on your lips.

"open wide, dear..." he whispered. he... he was feeding you another chocolate...? this bitch. but like a good puppy you opened your mouth and let the tainted chocolate fall onto your tongue to melt on your mouth. you couldn't see his face however you were certain he had the most satisfied smile on his face right now. "good, now... let me take care of you, my fine artifact..." his lips travelled the base of your neck as his hands made good work to undo your pants for easier access. you whined and cried for more, your hips kept trying to get some kind of friction even if it was just his erection against your ass, it would help. his fingers curved underneath all of the fabric, opening your legs wider just for him. your entire body jolted as you threw your head back against his shoulder, letting out a cacophony of noises as his fingers tenderly stroked where you needed them most. you didn't even know how to react, your legs shook and you practically bounced on his lap as you rock your hips against his hand. his soft groans stimulated you further, that painful knot in your stomach was growing tighter each passing moment he touched you.

he certainly recognised this, ceasing his attack on your neck to hush words into your ear. "are you close... dear?" his words were quiet yet you nearly screamed your own. "y-yes! so close... p-please don't stop, kiyo!" you cried, hand flying backwards to go around the back of korekiyo's neck. he chuckled like a devil, quickening the pace of his strokes on your sweet spots. it made your sex twitch and throb like none other time before. you whined and babbled to him, repeating that you didn't want him to stop, that you were close.

your eyes went crisscrossed and you practically squealed as your climax came to you like a truck, rolling out in waves whilst your hips grinded against his hand. "f-fuck! fuck! kiyo!" your entire body shuddered, calming yourself now as your eyes closed in bliss. that burning feeling in your stomach was still there but it was certainly less painful now. you heard korekiyo chuckle behind you, that was when you came to the realisation how flustered you were.

Boy is a crack shot if I ever saw one! Offered him a job on the spot. He seemed overjoyed, as he should be! But then he seemed sad, which was the damnest thing. He said he wanted the job but could not accept it until something something soul searching something ‘getting his shit together’.

Gave him full base access, leave to fill in on needed mercenary spots, and provisions when requested. Have his word that he will take position. I am not sure how long ‘getting one’s shit together’ takes, but I do hope he won’t dally too long! Rico was adopted at a young age from an Australian orphanage, to be used as part of a side project by the Administrator- an elite mercenary team, honed by intense training, genetic alteration, and mental control to eliminate Teams that Helen felt were too 'compromised'. Members of Team BLAK included similarly acquired orphans as well as members of the R&D Team, along with one unaltered 'control group' member with a suitable lack of morals and lust for murder.

Rico grew up about as well adjusted as you can expect someone raised to be an organic weapon to grow up- rebellious and arrogant as anyone who knows he can't be outshot, and in love with the concept and causation of chaos as anyone thrashing against a stifling environment their entire lives. These acts of rebellion were tolerated for a surprisingly long time, until one day. Rico still can't recall what that final straw was- all he remembers is the absolute fury on the face of Dr. Lang- Team Medic, Head of R&D Medical, and, on paper anyway, his adoptive father. As punishment for whatever that forgotten transgression was, Rico was shown his leash and chain- code words implanted in his mind to force him to obey commands given to him. He was also informed he would be kept on a tighter tether from then on.

If that was the only punishment meted out to the Sniper that day it would have been distressing enough. But there was something unintended that occured- Alexandre Coeurnoir, the Team Spy, had overheard everything, and wasn't about to let full control of another human being go to waste. From then on, Rico's life went from stifling to unbearable as he found himself at the mercy of Alexandre's every whim, unable to either tell anyone about what was happening or escape from it. He was helplessly bound in the web of a terrible spider and, as the Spy teased, there was no hope of rescue. No one would come to save him nor care enough to. Any attempts to run away was met with an eventual undeniable pull to return, and he was as blocked from taking a more permanent exit as he was from telling a soul about his torment. His only means of coping came from alcohol, nicotine, disassociation, and his one joy- his beloved motorcycle, Baby. He would ride into the desert for days at a time, denying the call as long as his shackled mind would allow, and pretend he was the apex predator he once fancied himself as.

And then…

With the other members of Team BLAK either dead or scattered to finally live their own lives, Rico has kept himself busy keeping his promise to Saxton Hale. He lives primarily at Sawmill, in a treehouse he found in the forest and has since made his own, only going indoors when winter makes it too cold to be outside at length. While solitude suits him, he has made a handful of friends and is slowly but surely learning the one thing he was never taught- how to be a human being.

Hi everyone!

Since I got the feedback on the interest check for a possible Fallen Hero Fanzine it seems like we have some interest and I’ve been looking into various ways we could do this. As I’m big on collaboration and everyone getting a say, I was thinking that deciding on a theme for the zine could be our first collaborative step.

I’ve made a poll (found further down in this post) with 7 options for you to vote on. Descriptions/explanations are found right below the poll so make sure to read those before casting your vote. We’re keeping this first zine sfw, please keep that in mind if suggesting themes of your own. Voting doesn’t tie you to contributing to the zine.

Jumping into something headfirst without knowing what you’ll find on the other side is scary, that’s why I’ve written a short list of what I have in mind for this zine.

The zine will be 100% free and non-profit, this also means no compensation for the contributors. Theme: TBD through majority vote Number of contributors: Max 30 (I would love to have more but, unless someone can help me with admin stuff, I think that’s my limit for how much organising and planning I can do on my own). Rating: SFW. Innuendos, cursing, violence and the like is okay but not straight up sex. Format: Digital/e-zine, with permission to print at home for personal use only. I will put together a bonus version made for easy to print at home, with instructions for how to assemble it. Media types allowed: Any visual media suited for print as long as it’s your own (e.g. illustrations, sketches, photography, collages, short comics, cosplay etc). Keep in mind that if you make a collage or mood board, all pictures must be your own (or have the rights to). Any writing as long as it’s your own (e.g. short stories, poetry, analyses, personal anecdotes etc). Pages in zine per contributor: 2. Time frame and deadlines: TBD but I plan on us having it finished around September/October of 2024, with some reservations.

Coming Home - New beginnings, finding your place. It could be sweet and cozy, finding friends, or stepping into your own skin for the first time. Interpret as you like, but the main focus should be on the concept of “home”, whatever that means to you or the characters you choose to portray. Los Diablos - Snippets and snapshots from the city and lives you are sworn to protect or destroy. HG’s lair, Herald’s apartment, or a sewer (sorry, secret base), as well as the people found in these places. Nightmares - The bad vibes (tm) one. The Heartbreak Incident, decanting, paranoia, all the nasty bits you don’t want people to find. This one is open to more possible body horror than the other themes. Ship specific - Pick this one if you want a more romance focused theme, and specify in replies which characters you’d want in centre. Please write Ship Theme before the characters in your reply. I have another idea! - Got an idea for a theme that isn’t in the poll? Pick this one and specify in replies what it is! Please specify even if someone has the same idea, or close to, as you. My biggest accomplishment this year is definitely completing Stuck in a Yandere Visual Novel...HELP!!

This was finished in May, but somehow it feels like a lifetime ago... The full story is 84k+ words, which is definitely the longest (finished) story I've written.

In this coming year, I hope I can get some merch completed for the game, and maybe redo some of the art since I think I've improved since I started development back in 2022.

I did "finish" 24 illustrations for 2024, but I might've cheated a bit based on my original intentions. In 2023, I said "24 illustrations not used in Visual Novels." This year, I didn't add the latter requirement, but I had intended to follow it.

However, come December, I was short 4 illustrations. Coincidentally, I completed 3 CGs for Spooktober and 1 animation for Winter Jam. Since I didn't have that criteria, I decided to add it into the count.

(The animation was too big and had to be uploaded as two files, thus pushing the last image to another row.)

...And now what I didn't succeed in :(

I accomplished 6 items, but they were not bingo. I only have myself to blame for making one of the requirements "10 VN BGs" 😂 Honestly some of these goals were so difficult, I'm surprised I managed to succeed in any of them.

I am quite sad that I couldn't finish much fanart for my favorite vtubers. I thought it'd be easy, but I often ended up spending time on commissions and projects.

I was pleasantly surprised that I completed more than 25 commissions as I counted them up! I really thought I didn't make it...;; Sadly, although I completed so many commissions... it still wasn't a salary I could live off of. If I didn't had savings, I would've been in big trouble 💦 This was definitely the biggest "down" I felt this year. The physical evidence that I could not make digital artist my career.

The team is still together for BWOBK! But we've all been busy with our own separate projects and various private matters. We still intend to work on it for 2025, though!

And, it'll definitely be one of my big goals for 2025.

...I don't even remember the happy story goal 😂 (I won't count my fanfics- they're also not that happy either, just slated for a happy ending.)

I wrote for two VNs this year. Sorry to say neither are happy.

A Year of Fan Projects

I participated in a lot of Ace Attorney fan events this year! You can see all of them in my art tag!

Last year, Arimia convinced me to join the DGM 20th Project Zine and although I cried at my own mistakes, I got through to the end! Paneling is hard... Drawing so much detail is even harder... There were definitely many tears during that zine.

Alongside that, I was working on two NaruMitsu Big Bang projects as an artist. I worked with some really great writers who wrote some amazing stories for our love of this pairing!

Aaaand then after that, I fell in love with The Great Ace Attorney and spent a whole week speedily finishing as many chibi illustrations as I could for Ryuubowl Week, which celebrated the pair AsoRyuu.

And then I also.. Wait, that's it?? Huh, I thought I did something for Golden Kamuy, too...

Well, I tried to, but ultimately I was so tired from everything else, I didn't get very far beyond one image per challenge/event. Ah, well... There's always next year.

Then... that's it for 2024. It's hard to summarize a whole year of my feelings in a single post (and keep it positive). It's easy to just show all my successes, but there were also many failures. Many attempts in projects that I won't talk about anymore and ideas that couldn't make it through the initial planning phase. There's much more than what I've shown here. But despite it all, I want to keep creating. I want to tell my stories and I want to see people enjoy them!

So I'm going to keep trying. It may not be the way I imagined it to be, I may have to try new methods, but I want to make it happen. And if you read everything and still want to stick around for this journey, thank you, and Happy New Year 2025~

He'd help patch you up with the resources in the forest; I've seen mixed opinions on whether or not slenderman has weird healing powers but personally; I think he has regen abilities that can only be applied to himself! As for shelter? I'm personally still on the fence on if I wanna make the manor thing a part of my personal universe and hc that I write for these silly lads; but rn I've settled for a version of it! Not as grand or tidy as the old fandom hyped it up to be; it's a lil smaller and kinda... run down

being sent to therapy as a child is way different from being sent-ish as an adult when ur more confident you're not imagining things/basically more aware.

it was pretty funny. she made me write basic info n the classic symptoms tickboxes, history, etc. sat down. she was just Looking Respectfully at the beginning and then opening the talk upon completion of the forms with "You're so pretty" with a transfixed smile and gyattdamn, (learned this from my roomie) i appreciate that coming from an older woman.

i mean she's prolly in her 30s or 40s but yes. it doesn't feel gross 🕺 she paused and stared sometimes just to say that again, alongside making comments about my speaking voice n shit. it felt like an aunt i never had or something 😭

bc all my aunts i was in contact with were fucked up 🤘

or iunno it just felt so freeing because wow, a compliment on my appearance from someone who isn't my gf, without weird/volatile feelings/intentions? whoaaa. perceived (reasonably) or otherwise. ig it just felt safe in that office. i care about this because a lot of my encounters with others is them being impressed by a skill, a talent, or looks, esp looks bc you can just stand there and that's what people see-- and wanting to use that or exploit that or define me by that and put me on a pedestal instead of acknowledging the person it's attached to, yk? i can't explain very well.

but it's like you are a concept built on the things you can do, and when it comes to the human you are, no one listens.

well. she made me tear up by going "we become different people when we feel that we are understood and loved" when she brought up my gf (who we initially sent there after a relative's suicide last month), who referred me, who apparently told the doc we were together. i didn't expect that because she's very private especially about us, so *hair tuck behind ear* (lol). so it's only fair--

because sometimes people say the love me but only the version of me they hope for, constructed in their heads, the name, refusing accountability...

funny that when we were talking about my gf in passing, she showed up outside the clinic. doc went: well there she is!

me: WHAT

doc: u didn't know she's coming?

me: NO

oh yeah she's not homophobic too which is WONDERFUL and like it felt like she supports it too instead of just tolerating it.

doc also went on about how much potential she could see from the first impression n shit. it's like... yk how i hear this a lot from other people but it never feels genuine? and how this is somewhat special because that professional also told me "you're already impressive, and i can see you're doing your best, BUT things are hindering you."

in contrast to others', "you're awesome but you're not trying hard enough."

it didn't feel as shallow as all these positive words from other people. because i somehow want to tell them "i can be better; this is not it" but they won't believe me. just going "you're just being humble; look at ME."

like, stop comparing yourself to me to make me feel better. that's not it. that's not going to make me feel better; i just want you to believe i can be greater without everything that's keeping me tied down.

instead of saying, "why can't you aim for that Thing You're Totally Capable Of?" that all these years i've just learned to disregard with "i'm lazy." for a lack of better words.

she kept looking at my symptoms and saying: WOW the way you're still here is literally impressive.

puts down her pen, looks again, goes: SEE? look at all of that. without question, we'll put you on academic leave and get you these things *starts scribbling*

iunno it's such a RELIEF that i feel like sharing it. not that i don't just Yap incessantly, but yes 🤣 it's like... i've known that. i'm not just a piece of shit, a failure "despite my privileges", a "person who's not trying their best", a "spoiled brat" that everyone among my relatives think i am. because my parents still keep this... front about our family being in harmony and that Nothing Is Wrong when they practically could've just killed each other. and me LOL.

my gf came to pick me up actl, and going out my therapist went "(name)'s right there, she's waiting for you. yk her. she loves you a lot." not sure how to translate that. in the used language, she meant something like "loves you in all forms, to the root of your soul". nuance hard hard

we used to joke about "picking u up from therapy", didn't expect that too happen at this age lmaooo, for both of us rlly. also yeah um i've avoided going because medical trust issues n shit as well as thinking "I'm self-aware, I can do this" but yk what things just Work Differently. heck wait gtg meet a friend

In your own words, tell us what you like most about your OC.

It's hard to narrow it down because I just adore Vivian. She was the first original character that I created in the Choices World, and I felt like she almost created herself. It was within my Delaying the Inevitable Universe, and we met her when she walked in on Casey in her son's apartment wearing his bathrobe. After Vivian realized Casey was being truthful, there was nothing going on between her and Tobias, she made it her mission in life to change that.

At that point, I didn't know I'd have a full T/C headcanon, much less have Vivian a part of it, but I couldn't let go of her. She's a strong, smart, powerful, intuitive woman. She's witty, quick thinking, and can verbally disarm anyone in a nanosecond. Sophisticated and worldly, but she has quite a backstory, that wasn't always her life.

Despite a sometimes intimidating exterior, she has the biggest heart. She will defend those she loves to death. The way she and Tobias banter gives me life! lol

Do you feel your OC is like you at all? How are you alike or different?

We have some similarities, but I wouldn't say a lot. We both think quick on our feet and enjoy bantering/teasing. We also love putting a bully or bigot in their place. We're both extremely loyal to those we love and understand they're the most important thing in life.

While we both grew up, not poor, but not well off by any stretch, I never had to endure the overt and systemic racism that Vivian did.

We both put ourselves through school and are quite proud of it, but she followed her dreams, and I allowed myself to be talked out of too many of mine. She's definitely got more confidence than I do. I also never married into extreme wealth lol, nor did I marry - and lose - the love of my life.

But we both adore our children and would do anything for them.

What is most important to your OC? What is their motivation in life?

Her family. There are other things - justice, equity, an intense desire to prove her naysayers wrong... but nothing comes close to her family.

What are their biggest pet peeves/dislikes?

Ignorance. Especially wilful ignorance.

Racism and sexism.

Dishonesty.

Her sons making her wait decades before they get their shit together and settle down. lol

If your OC could change one thing - anything - what would it be?

The one thing she'd like to change more than anything is her late husband, Charles's death. He was the love of her life, and while she's managed to go on and live a full life without him, no one knows just how difficult that's been. Even more so, she knows the toll his death has taken on her boys, especially Tobias, who was not on the best of terms with him when he passed. While this is her greatest wish, she knows it can't happen, and she doesn't even know if it should. She doesn't like the ending but has a strong faith and believes this happened by God's design, so she doesn't feel right questioning it.

For something she feels she has a bit more of an ability to impact, she'd want to make the world a better place for her granddaughters and children like them. She knows things like systemic racism and misogyny are so ingrained in our society that they'll be almost impossible to fully overcome, but she sure as hell won't let that stop her from trying.

Also, I see Vivian as a strong ally for LGBTQIA equality. She will admit this isn't something she understood well in her younger years, but she now has a bisexual daughter-in-law, and eventually, her son, Jordan, comes out, and later, her granddaughter, Kayla. Inequity and discrimination are things that she abhors, and when she begins to what the community faces, she is a vocal ally who puts her time, money, and energy where her mouth is.

Diana Ross's Ain't No Mountian High Enough - Because she used to sing it with Tobias and Jordan when they were children.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your OC?

Vivian is not perfect. Sometimes, her sarcasm and humor can be viewed as acerbic. She is a loving and doting mother, and as a grandmother, triple that, but she acknowledges mistakes she made when her boys were small. She and Charles had a love so strong that sometimes, it may have made the boys feel secondary, even though they never were. Also, she was determined to prove she belonged in her husband's world, not so much for herself but for those who would follow - most importantly, her children. But she acknowledges that sometimes she was so busy pursuing that agenda that she lost sight of little things that were, in the end, far more important.

She has so many accomplishments in her life that the list could go on for days. But the one thing she is most proud of is the relationship she has with her adult children, their partners, and her grandchildren. When she closes her eyes for the last time, she knows she leaves behind a legacy of love, and that's all she ever wanted.

A/N: Well, I've accidentally started a mini-series. This was all supposed to be a one-shot, lol. The series started because @shipheart commented, “I wonder what the reader will do next” and then this happened.  I had a wild thought that this Chris/Reader couple could be the couple in Mi Amante and what happens in this series is what led them to start couples therapy. Some of the details are off but I like the idea that this is the back story. This series and Mi Amante are not related, it's just my headcanon within a headcanon, haha. I wrote once on something I was writing “I feel like I'm writing something much bigger than this is". I'm getting that same feeling again with these. It might be. Who knows. Since Mr. Evans had taken some time off when I started writing this, I need a secondary resource for content and research. These pages were a big help. I didn't mean to be here. I did come here on purpose but I didn't think it would be that easy to find her. I'd thought maybe if I saw Y/N from far away, I could make up my mind. If she seems happy, if she seems like she’s in a good place, I could turn around and walk away. I could try to move on and let her go if she was okay.

That's not how it happened. We literally almost ran right into each other. One second I was deciding to give up, thinking it was providence that I hadn't seen her and the next I was colliding with Y/N.

“What are you doing here?”, Y/N asks after we’ve both recovered. “I’m honestly not following you. I heard from a friend that they'd seen you around here,” shit that sounds like I'm stalking her. I didn't have the time to be a mess but the minute there wasn't a camera in my face I would break down, the facade I kept up would crumble away and all I could feel was heartache. I muddled my way through the rest of the projects I had in LA. I can't even remember if I did work that I was happy with or not. The ache Y/N left in my chest was irrepressible. I could barely breathe sometimes. 

The hole Y/N left in my life was tangible. You don't realize how entwined someone is into the fabric of every minute of your life until it hits you in the face. 

I didn't realize how the simple touch of her hand stopped my mind from racing. I didn't realize how seeing her and my dog safely at home brought me peace.

I didn't realize how the smell of her perfume on the sheets made me feel like I was home every night.

I didn't realize how much her smile warmed me from the inside and made my heart sing in my chest.

I just didn't realize how much I loved her in my life...

Hi, do you have any tips on telling professors you’re dealing with depression? Like is it helpful to include details? Symptoms? It’s getting to the point in the last few days where I need to tell them something because I have assignments piling up and the symptoms I’m experiencing are getting pretty intense.

If It helps I think I’m dealing with atypical depression just based on how I relate to the symptoms list (leaden paralysis, oversleeping, severe rsd, can’t focus on anything even more than usual, just feeling an overwhelming physical emptiness in my brain). Ive been doing ok when I’m in class and I feel better then too, but when it’s done, as soon as I get home or am just you know trying to do my assignments or anything, it’s like a curtain falls on me. This has been creeping up on me for the last few weeks and I can recognize the circumstances that lead me here, but I feel like I’ve crossed a threshold in the last week from just having these worries and thoughts I could control to now this full blown physical Depression Experience that has control over me.

I don’t want to overshare so to speak and make my professors uncomfortable or permanently see me differently, but I also desperately want to be believed and accurately convey how disabled I feel right now in a practical sense. Just writing this all out to you took so much effort. I’m not really sure what to even ask for beyond extending my assignments to this weekend. This depression is so unlike what I’ve experienced in the past and I really don’t know where it’s going or what to expect. A part of me is hoping I’m just going to feel normal again in a few days but I can hardly think more than a few days out anyway.

I know all teachers are different but what would you want to hear and be ok with hearing from one of your students? What would you want to know?

Ooof. First of all, thanks for coming to me and I'm sure it took a lot of effort to put that together. I know that all-consuming, black-hole depression feeling, and it's not fun.

Here's what I would do:

First, reach out to your student counseling/health services center as a matter of priority. Almost every university has one, and they encourage you to take advantage of them. If that takes too much effort to do when you're in a funk, try to do it when you're on campus or have a little more energy. Say that you're really struggling and need to come in for an urgent appointment -- you don't need any more info than that, and they should be responsive/proactive about following up. There might also be a crisis line or priority email where you're assured a response in a certain amount of time.

Next, please do contact your professors and let them know what's going on! Here's a sample email for you:

Dear Dr. [Name],

I'm writing today to let you know in confidence that I'm experiencing severe mental health difficulties, which have been growing worse over the last few weeks and are negatively affecting my ability to participate in class. I am reaching out to the university counseling centers and other resources, but I am not feeling well at all and hope that you will be able to make adjustments to the deadline for [exam/project/paper etc -- fill in as necessary].

I will do my best to complete my work as expected, but please let me know if it is possible to arrange a meeting [via phone or Zoom if you don't want to come in], and discuss my options. I would like to know about the possibility of an incomplete grade or other ways to [pause/resolve/work with] my status for this semester.

I do apologize for any inconvenience, and hope that you'll be able to provide me with understanding and support in this difficult matter. I very much appreciate your time and consideration.

Hopefully, you can just copy and paste that with a minimum of effort, tweak it as necessary, and send to them. You can also reach out to the Disability Services office (as every university is required to have one) and see if accommodations can be made/allow you to complete work at a later date. If it's really bad, you also have the right to contact the university registrar and arrange for a leave of absence.

Anyway, this is to say: you have options to take care of yourself and make sure that the people around you know what is going on and can help develop a plan to deal with it, so please do take them! I know how awful and draining it feels, but if you need any other advice, please let me know, and I will do my best to answer. I think the "I think I'm in love with you" prompt with Lover would be really sweet!

I had to rewrite this one like... 5 times so I hope you like it! Haha.

Lover was pretty happy with the life that she was living. Sure, sometimes the sexual things that she had to do with other monsters were annoying; it was just something that they needed to do though, so she never cared too much. Of course, now that they were above ground, they didn't have to do it like that anymore! Frisk showed them that love didn't have to come from lust.

They were something called, what was it again? Asexual, so they didn't feel any type of sexual attraction. It made a lot of sense, otherwise, how could they have not wanted to be with her?! Everyone, and I mean everyone, wanted a piece of her and she wasn't sorry for admitting it. Her brother didn't quite do the best with that kind of stuff, getting too attached too quickly.

A while ago, Lover had been going around the store trying to find everything that had been on her list, and that was going well until she noticed that the thing that she wanted to get, was too high and she couldn't reach it.

Lover huffs, squinting slightly putting her hands on her hips "Aw, come on" She mumbles to herself. She was wearing her familiar crop top and fluffy hoodie, sure she could use her magic to get it down but... man, that's so not fair.

Before she could even begin to use her magic though, someone's hand reached by her and picked up what she was trying to get, and handed it to her "here you go" someone's voice says.

"Oh-" she starts, then looks over at the person. They were a human, and as her eyeshine scans them up and down she smiles "oh~" He purrs, and takes the item "Thank you," She continues, "That's ever so sweet of you"

"No problem" they chirp, in a happy tone smiling. Their smile was so bright.

Lover... she really tried, she could flirt, say some random pick-up line and everything but nothing came out. No matter what she tried, nothing did.

"Well, I'll see you at a later time maybe, bye" they wave, and turn, wandering off. They most likely needed to do their own shopping. It was like she was frozen until they left, then she could react again.

She shakes her head, looks around, then groans covering her face with her hands. "What in the world?" she mumbles to herself, then she shakes her head and goes back to getting the things on the list.

Ever since that day, she had been thinking about them on and off, sometimes they wouldn't come into her mind while other times, they wouldn't leave, and she had no idea why. They weren't even all that special looking or anything, and they didn't do anything to really catch her attention. Sure, they helped her but that didn't mean much, right? Okay, maybe it did a little.

She had seen them around once or twice, yet she never went to talk to them and it was starting to annoy her. She never felt nervous, so why did she feel nervous about spending time with them, and talking? It wasn't like she knew them at all!

With those thoughts, she did speak to them for the second time, and the first time she really tried to talk with them. It went pretty well. She didn't try to flirt at all, which was just a little strange. Normally she would do so, just around them, it was like she couldn't. The words got caught in her throat like she would choke on them.

And she wasn't the type to choke on things!

Today they were spending time together, and they were rambling on and on about this one thing and she was listening to them closely, her head rested against the palm of her hand. They were waiting for their drinks, and they were dumping all the info that they had about this thing until they seemed a little nervous, their cheeks flushed and they chuckle, saying "I'm sorry, this must be getting annoying, huh?"

"Not at all," She says, maybe a tad too quickly. Her cheeks flush a little, then she chuckles, and adds "I like listening to you talk about your things, you have such a pretty voice" she coos.

When she saw them get a little flush on their cheek, they laugh, turning their head away "Oh be quiet" they mumble, moving their hand over their mouth.

They were so cute.

Lover thought that they were just the most adorable little creature.

Well... not little, still cute though!

Throughout the day they would do things together, rambling and chatting it all up. They got their food, and he messed with them by putting some cream on their nose.

They thought it was so silly.

After that, they kept meeting up. They would do things together, and Lover had this strange feeling in her chest. Her friends would often tease her, saying that she got bonded really quickly, though she would tell them that she was not, and they needed to stop.

Because, you know, there was no way she would be bonded with someone so quickly!

During another hangout, this time in the park, she was thinking about that and she quickly started to realize something... she was bonded to them really quickly. There was no doubt about it, though why? What the hell was going on with her? Was she lonely? Did their soul just match hers?

She felt a hand get placed against her shoulder, and Y/n's voice saying "Hey Lover, you okay?"

"I..." she starts, then shuts her mouth and she breathes out slowly then looks over at them, reaching out taking their hands into her own boney ones. Their hands were so soft. "I think... I think I'm in love with you" she says, her voice shaking a little as the words slipped by.

They blink a few times, their cheeks flushing quickly. "R...Really?" They ask, sounding shocked. She just gives a small nod, expecting them to reject her right here and now but they didn't, they smiled and lean over, kissing her cheek "Took you long enough" They mumble.

Wait what?

She looks at them, with large eye sockets because she was shocked, then groans hiding her face blushing brightly. Damn it, this love thing was a lot harder than just having sex with people for no reason.

helloooo it's selene once again! and listed under things i should not be doing but am doing anyway ⏤ is roh jihoon, former olympic skater and now he's just some dude trying to live a nice life, supposedly. he's kind of a loser but please love my son anyways LOL anywho, his profile and background are ready to go for the most part, but i'm gonna try hard to give y'all a sparknotes version because that bio is too damn long. also some plots too. please like this post and i'll come to you and as always, disc is preferred for plotting!

⏤ TL;DR

comes from a family of politicians and automobile makers, think hyundai & kia. dad is a politician who attempted to run for president once before, mom is a news anchor, sister is a well known actress. image is everything ofc so he knows he has to be something great

he takes to figure skating when he is young because he's good at it, much to his father's chagrin about it not being a man's sport or whatever. regardless he puts his all into it because that's what he's taught, and everything that does not involve being in the rink he doesn't care about tbh.

childhood and teenagerdom is rather uneventful, so fast forward to nineteen where one of his competition pieces ends up going viral mainly b/c of his looks and not talent. the attention he receives overnight is annoying especially he feels like his "fans" don't really care about his craft, but his skating federation loves it and wants to strike the iron while it's hot, getting brand and commercial gigs ( mainly for sports / fitness things ) and becoming male singles skating's current posterboy.

fast forward again when he's 21, ends up making the korean national team and securing a silver medal in the olympics. his career is booming, and even he has to admit that it's nice. people think he could easily get a gold next go around.

due to his fame his coach ends up getting a slew of new hopefuls to train under him, and he takes a liking to one named kiwoo who almost has an innate ability for skating. however, it turns out because of all the attention he's getting he's also being violently bullied for a while. when kiwoo gets hospitalized jihoon decides to step in.

gives medical records to his coach, tries reporting it to the higher ups, nothing. he doesn't know if the bullies are being protected or if this is just the way it is but he isn't having it and ends up in a fist fight with both bullies next time they're in the locker room together. when he reports that incident to the higher ups, and investigation is had when makes him think something might get done. instead during the interview portion they end up dismissing it, saying he's making something out of nothing and trying to get him to sign an nda along with some bribes for his silence. jihoon says i think the fuck not and immediately announces his retirement instead. it's definitely sudden and leaves a lot of his fans confused, but he's disgusted and no longer has a passion to skate anymore.

dude can't take this sitting down so he tries to get some vindication by sending in the info that he assaulted his juniors to gossip girl, in hopes that the public will look past the what and want to know why. but they don't look past the what, and his image is effectively tarnished. the pretty much loses all his deals, and gets in a severe argument with his father which ends up in a slap and jihoon being forced to study abroad so he won't cause any more shit. doesn't help that his federation are acting like they did their jobs and forced him to retire as punishment.

while he's away some whistleblowers come out with more stories on corruption within the korean figure skating federation, which launches a full blown investigation by the national intelligence service. kiwoo is one of them, who reveals the motivation behind jihoon's actions and that he voluntarily retired because of it. in terms of his public image it helps somewhat ⏤ some people can understand how he did what he did, while others think that he's still wrong and doesn't want to see him.

anyway he's returns when he's 25 and because gossip girl is gone, no one knows or cares LOL. he doesn't go back to figure skating and spends the his time finishing up his degree. his family leaves him be for a year before forcing him back in the spotlight though ( because you gotta be great ofc ), his sister pulling strings to get him a modeling contract. he's kind of the person that also lets life happen to him and he's not doing anything else of merit after graduating college, so why not.

within the last year he's gotten a job as a personal trainer, because he has bulked tf up while in america and enjoys working out a positive way to release his stress; and for once, he actually enjoys what he does!

The Murder of William Desmond Taylor: a selection of movies made by, starring, or otherwise involving people who were a part of the case/investigation (with links to where they're available on youtube)

I've been fascinated by the unsolved murder for a long time. But when I first started reading about it over 20 years ago, I had really no access to any of the movies made by or starring any of the people involved in the case, or any of the titles that might sometimes pop up when the case is discussed. Since then, youtube has become a really great hub for classic movies, particularly those that are in the public domain. And since Taylor was murdered in 1922, so many of those movies are now in the public domain.

I feel like once I finally got to start seeing movies with these actors in them, movies made by these writers and directors (including Taylor himself), it made the case feel a little more tangible to me, and helped me sort of look at it from different perspectives than I had in the past.

So I thought I'd put a little list together on letterboxd of some of these movies and links to them on youtube. To be clear, this is not a list of every single movie every single person involved ever made. For one thing, there are a lot of movies among those filmographies that are lost. For another, the point here isn't to just be a comprehensive collection. It's just a selection. Some people involved in the case have very little too choose from as most of their films are either lost or still not widely available. With others, I had a large selection to choose from. I did try to prioritize making choices where there was some overlap, like where Taylor worked with someone who would later be a witness or a suspect in his death, or where future suspects and/or witnesses worked together, because I feel like that does help to give a real sense of how interconnected a lot of the people surrounding this case really were.

I did try to include as much information as I could regarding each person and their connection to the case in the notes for the entries. But this is by no means comprehensive information. I only provided info that provides further context for the specific person in question. There's so much about the case that I don't go into because it's further removed from the Hollywood stuff. It's also not well cited or anything like that because I pulled most of it up for memory. So while I certainly hope this is helpful to anyone who might be new to the case, I strongly urge you to seek out further information and better, more thoroughly researched sources because what I've got here is just barely scratching the surface. And if anyone who is really well acquainted with the case notices any errors in the information I provided, please let me know! It's been a long time since I really dug into any research on the topic, so my memory might be rusty and it's entirely possible some of my info is out of date.

For anyone else interested in textless openings and endings, I've now been able to put together a sort of guide for which ones you should be able to find. The main sources are the limited edition Best of Detective Conan albums listed above, as well as the limited edition Mai Kuraki x Detective Conan Collaboration Best 21 album, which I do think has clean OPs/EDs included on the DVD, since "non-telop" in this context probably refers to no onscreen text, lyrics, logos, etc.? But I haven't purchased the album yet, so I can't personally 100% confirm at the moment.

[EDIT: I have now purchased albums! Mai Kuraki x Detective Conan Collaboration Best 21 does indeed include a DVD with textless OPs and EDs. However, for songs that were also used as movie endings, only the clean movie ending is included. So, textless versions of show Endings 12 ("always") and 55 ("Togetsukyō ~Kimi Omou~") are not available on the DVD. A clean ED 12 is also not included on The Best of Detective Conan 2.]

Apart from that, as mentioned in the original ask, some of FUNimation's earliest English-language volumes include textless versions of OPs 1 and 3 and EDs 1, 3, and 4, but clean versions sadly weren't included on any of the seasonal sets; MagicBox has written about specifics here. Their releases also covered up 'til OP 4 (omitting OP 2), and while their openings do all have Case Closed or Detective Conan logos included, they're otherwise textless.

The same goes for the German dub openings—there are logos but no credits or lyrics. Crunchyroll Germany currently has episodes up 'til OP 15 available for streaming (omitting OPs 2, 3, and 6), and they've even released a video of all the German-dubbed openings on YouTube (but there are watermarks here that you won't actually find on Crunchyroll):

I also discovered that (non-rental versions of) Part 6 of the original Japanese DVDs do seem to include textless versions of a handful of openings and endings! For that one season, those videos were apparently the bonus instead of the postcards that are usually included with non-rental copies of those DVDs.

Happy New Year! I was wondering if you know where to find creditless openings and endings for DetCo? Aside from FUNimation's DVDs and the handful of German dub openings that are essentially creditless, I'm at a loss. While I do own many of the Japanese DVDs, none of them include clean OPs/EDs, though they are basically all old rental copies, so maybe they're missing extras that the regular volumes have? Do you know of any DVDs that do include clean OPs/EDs?

Actually, yes! As far as I know, even the non-rental versions of the show DVDs don’t contain creditless OP/EDs. However, the limited editions of some music CDs that have a DVD with them sometimes have them.
