Lmao this is also how my sole survivors end up with Hancock instead of being a lesbian, sole and him have such damn good chemistry. Hancock is such a wet soggy bastard and I love him for it
Tumblr media
I love yumetwt/selfship community, because everyone are (most of the time) talking about their f/o from like gacha games and anime and then this is how I come at them with my weird ass relationship with Hancock 💀

Companions react to Sole being related to them genetically? The Synths,Codsy, Strong, and Dogmeat obviously don’t count.
Thank you so much for the request! 💙💛 Hopefully y'all enjoy these! 🥰
Edit: In the original version, I posted this thing early and forgot to put Preston's react 🤦‍♀️ But I reckon sometimes idiot attacks happen, y'all 🤷‍♀️ But here it is fixed now.
Cait - Is thrown off terribly and doesn't know how to respond at first, but some deep part of her is awfully pleased to have an even deeper connection to F!Sole. She's Cait's hero and to have even a shred of F!Sole's DNA within her is the highest honor Cait can think of. However, she will proceed to make some manner of joke about it and try to blow it off just a little, but if they are in private, she will explain her genuine feelings on it.
Piper - Is honestly overjoyed, and immediately starts trying to track the family tree and find out exactly where in the line of ancestry that F!Sole falls. She just knows that F!Sole has to be related to her on her dad's side. Her Blue is too much like him in that she's always saving people and doing the right thing even at the risk of her own life. Piper is proud to be related to her and while she already calls Blue her family, she now says it even more.
MacCready - Is not sure what to say. He did not think he really had any family besides Duncan, but he is glad to have F!Sole. She is definitely one of the best people he could think of to have as far as family goes. If she has not yet met Duncan, MacCready introduces her as Duncan's aunt. After all, it's a bit more simple than explaining that this obviously younger woman is some manner of potential great, great, great, great, great, great aunt or something.
Deacon - Is sort of thinking that she is messing with him at first, but he ends up rolling with it without too many questions. He tells everyone at Railroad HQ that she's his long lost relation and now he goes around telling everyone that she's his grandma now despite her looking to be as young as him. He even has started calling her grandmother as a joke, and he sometimes puts on a silly, almost British voice as he says it.
Hancock - Is pretty surprised, and proceeds to make some joke about knowing that calling her "sister" always felt right to him. He doesn't know how exactly she is related, but he guesses that he must have somehow gotten his sense of patriotism and justice from her since she was one of those Pre-War law and order people or whatever. He is really pleased and now he puts out word that if anyone in Goodneighbor even glances at her wrong that they're going to die. Nobody messes with his family, no matter how far in the past that they had been from. Especially not her, though.
Preston - Is shocked to hear that he is related to the general, but he is nevertheless happy to hear it. He now knows that he came from greatness and to be related to the woman that is now the leader of Minutemen everywhere is a great honor and he is very proud of it. However, he tries not to tell people too much because he does not want them to accuse her or him of showing favoritism toward each other in their professional lives.

Could you have the Fallout 4 companions seeing and reacting to Sole Survivor being attacked by a Deathclaw, while they are unarmed, but it turns out that Sole has maxed out everything that has anything to do with Unarmed and critical Hits, so they punch the Deathclaw's head off with a single punch?
"Everyone else saw that too right?" Hancock wants to makes sure he didn't just imagine that on chems.
"..." Must you defy everything Danse understands about life. You're gonna give him an aneurysm.
"Good form, sir! Dare I say healthier than you've ever been before." There is one thing Codsworth likes about the Wasteland and that is the fact you take care of yourself to the extreme.
"I don't think the paper is gonna be that believable if I add that in... ah what the hell." Piper believes what she sees and hears and she heard and saw all of that. Now to get others to believe her will be her toughest sale.
"Nice form, buddy!" Deacon really does need to keep an eye on you for his own comfort. He's by no means religious but he prays you stay on his side.
"Remind me to never make you angry." Nick is impressed but he decides to tease you a bit before patting on the shoulder.
"Oh my, what, how is that possible?" Curie is stunned beyond words. Honestly she's going to need a moment.
"Do you even need me at this point?" MacCready's teasing mostly but there is a part of him that wonders after all this time you can't just leave him home.
"The fuck have you been eatin'?" Cait is disturbed at it but doesn't complain. As long as your on her side.
"haha... haha..." Preston starts laughing weakly. He thinks maybe he's gone crazy when he wasn't looking. But he can't deny how relieved you make him feel.
"Very impressive." X6 goes the route of positive feedback simply because it adds up. He's impressed and you like being told that.

I didn't spy this in your master list, but if you have written this please let me know.
Can you write up something about how the fallout 4 companions would react to a sole survivor that says weird stuff in their sleep?
Like, "He's here." And what not?
Cait:
• Usually just tries to ignore it, turning over and stealing the blankets as a way of trying to make you pay for waking her up. She hates getting woken up, if it’s over something ridiculous..she’s definitely not happy.
Curie:
•Takes it way too seriously. She knows better and will eventually learn better but the first few times she hears you speak, she is so confused and trying to figured out who “he” is and if she should get them some water or get you your gun..
Danse:
• Probably the most amused of all the companions. He doesn’t really sleep well anyways so truth be told, a bit of entertainment is happily welcomed. He thinks it’s silly and will just sit there, speaking lowly so you’ll respond to what he says but won’t wake up.
Deacon:
•Totally fucks with you. Regardless of what off topic, random thing come out of your mouth he’ll think of something to egg it on..usually resulting in you waking up and being extremely confused. He pretends nothing happened though…
Gage:
•Big meanie. He’ll tease you and start saying you should put a gag on to sleep- repeating whatever you said especially if it was embarrassing because it makes him have a good chuckle.
Hancock:
• Totally goes along with it, chuckling and probably huffing on a cigarette as he listens to whatever nonsense you have to say. He’s just happy you are resting well enough to even dream..he wouldn’t dare interrupt it for the world.
Macready:
•Would be the one to wake you up to tell you to shut up.
Maxson:
• He’s curious to say the least. He’s always interested in whatever is going on in your head but after hearing some of what your subconscious has to say..maybe he doesn’t want to know after all.
Nick:
•The one that shushes you gently, smiling as he calms you back down into a more restful sleep. He doesn’t care much for being woken up anyway..he doesn’t really need sleep.
Piper:
•Very angry sleeper..would not advise with her. She’ll probably kick you to make you be quiet. God help you if you snore.
Preston:
•Thinks it’s absolutely adorable but doesn’t put much credence to it. He knows you are just dreaming..
X6-88:
• Honestly thinks it’s some of the weirdest crap he has experienced. He hasn’t ever shared a room with anyone so he has no idea if this was the standard..does he do it too? Now he has to know…

Data from Vault 95 confirms that The Chair is not a magical-fix-all-your-problems machine — at the very least, it can’t cure the psychological side of chem dependency. It’s not stated in Cait’s quest because of fo4’s aversion to loose ends, but her story definitely isn’t over. (She references this if you do drugs in front of her afterwards.)
I think the next step for Cait is going to have to be expanding her circle of trust past The Player Character (All Hail). The Sole Survivor is wonderful and their relationship is lovely, but they have a lot on their plate, what with being responsible for every political and personal issue in all of Boston.
But… the team has a former addict on it! It’s Deacon! (Unless he was lying. Honestly it’s 50-50. We’ll assume for now that he wasn’t.) We also know that Hancock is really supportive about addiction! I really like the thought that he stops doing/talking about drugs around Cait (or Mama Murphy)(or the kids for that matter). Preston and Piper aren’t bad about it either. Other companions… well, we don’t see how they handle it past the intervention stage. I’m sure they try.
If I knew more about addiction, I’d write about how Cait handles it all. But I definitely do want to write more about the companions supporting each other, because the game’s limitations leave a lot of room to explore that.

Concept for if Bethesda loved the other Companions same as old tricky dick
Gage; a dlc that doesn't kinda suck actually, but also properly explores what being a raider entails, and what kind of people end up as one. I don't think you could actually redeem him, but I'd like that idea to be directly confronted, as least. I've talked about this before but it's wasted potential that you can't make the Nuka Gang confront the fact that Oh Shit The Farmers Are Now Dangerous
Deacon: I don't think he needs his own side quest or even DLC, but I'd like him to have side quests attached to him, a la Nick's detective cases sidequests. He's a spy. Pls let us do spy shit
Piper: Same as Deacon, but I think she actively needs a sidequest. Her character gimmick, her plot purpose, and her actual affinity talks are so unrelated it's painful. Let her journalism actually be content, not just a bit of trivia about her. A set of side quests + a personal quest that addresses Diamond City's Problems with a capital P. Lots of societal issues in that little space and we do nothing with any of it.
Preston: just fix the Minutemen and give this man a goddamn break. The Minutemen just need a rehaul, so as to not have him be the quest giver. And give him other stuff to do! I wanna actually fight the Gunners! Bring up and address the failures of the old Minutemen!!! Please!!!
X6-88: give the bitch something oh my God. Much like Gage, I don't think you can convince him to let go of the Institute, but give us a CHANCE. Emil just seems so scared to ask hard questions and use interesting concepts.
Danse; finish his arc you thots (also I think Fallout 4 really lacks some humanizing/soft moments in the world and I think Danse would be a good. Subject? For them. Like a shelter dog getting to play with ducklings. Idk but I have a vision)
MacCready: they forgot that his whole point was having a whole ass baby. Give him his child wtf.
Strong; delete
Codsworth; stronger plot presence. This robot raised that old bitch let him throw hands. Also, if you wanted to put quests in Sanctuary that spawn up as the town develops, Codsworth would be a great quest giver and tagalong as you try and keep the piece and set up some kind of society.
Curie; I've said it before. I'm saying again. Curies whole deal should have been a major plot point. She's a robot that becomes human and develops human feelings with human biology. This is not important to any faction leader. What on earth.
Cait; yall fuckin know how I feel about Cait but honestly, her personal quest sucks so much I'd rather they didn't. Just give her more and better affinity talks. She needs more time to open up and develop, and 4 conversations is not enough.
Hancock; I have quite a few nitpicks about Hancock but the fact that Micky D getting ganked and being revealed to be a synth DOESNT MATTER is insane. Macdonough's last interaction with Hancock was crucial to his character arc and not letting that circle around is so, so miserable. Also, I want politically-charged quests. Campaigning! Discussions on economy! He's a mayor of this weird little anarchy town, let us play in that space.

Companions crushing on Sole before either lets on to their feelings.
Thanks for requesting! I've always loved asks like these.
Cait: The second she saw that, honestly, hot piece of ass stumbled into the Combat Zone and singlehandedly take out all of the raiders, she was smitten. Cait had only been traveling with Sole for a few weeks, but she already found herself looking at them when they weren't watching. Plans to do something about it, but has no idea what to do.
Curie: Had no idea what the feeling was. She'd experienced it once before, decades ago when one of the scientists had been extremely kind to her, but that didn't compare to what she felt now. Will do mostly nothing about it, except for a few spare comments about the weird feeling in her stomach she gets sometimes around Sole.
Danse: Gets scared straight off the bat. He lists all the things wrong with this attraction towards Sole, such as, "I'm their commanding officer." And "This is just straight-up inappropriate." Becomes, somehow, even more, awkward around Sole. Eventually goes to Haylen for advice, and she laughs at him before giving him advice. If Sole has completed Blind Betrayal, he wonders about how they could ever like someone like him, a machine.
Deacon: Worse jokes. Worse humor. He doesn't know how to deal with it, so he denies it every time he can. Tries making flirty jokes and stutters halfway through it and comes up with a different ending, usually ending in jokes that don't make sense at all. "Hey babe-bbbitch how those uhhh . shit. bye." Desdemona wants to deck him.
Hancock: Convinces himself he just wants to fuck Sole. He's wrong. Makes flirty jokes every chance he gets, and Sole thinks he's joking. He is not. Cries to Fahrenhite about how beautiful Sole is every night. She's getting sick of his crush. Tells him to "man-up" and go talk to them before she "throws him out of the window."
MacCready: Genuinely writes a comic book of them both. Spends all night on it and it's written in crayon. Offers to give them sniping tips, but gets too nervous when he's close to Sole like that, and completely messes it up. Blushes very easily.
Nick Valentine: Tells himself that it'll pass, but wonders what it would've been like if the original Nick met Sole before Jennifer. What would they think now, of the pretend Nick Valentine? Doesn't worry about it too much, but also won't make an advance.
Piper: Nervously laughs around them all the time. Purposefully doesn't look at Sole's face, or anywhere at them. Unbelievably awkward. Sole eventually confronts them, asking Piper if she hates them. Piper says. "Oh-uh. No? No. Don't worry about it blue!!!" And runs off.
Preston: Always. Blushing. Sole asks him if he's sunburnt, and he says no. Constantly asking Sole if they would take him with them to the next settlement because "I want to see the Minutemen's General recruit another settlement!" He's a liar. He wants to watch Sole fight. Sometimes, when it's late, he'll think about how likely it is that Sole wouldn't be interested in him.
X6-88: Stone cold. Doesn't blush. Denies it completely, but he can't help feeling drawn to Sole. They were a really good fighter and leader and definitely bound to lead the Institute to success but... it would just be wrong. Doesn't make a move at all.

Could I have Piper, Cait and Curie (seperately) finding out that their S/O was once a soldier of the Enclave?
Piper
As a journalist, she was completely enraptured with the idea of the elusive group still being around after the war in the capital wasteland. But as your partner, she was completely shocked and slightly disgusted too.
The enclave not only was a racist organization, but it also worked with Vault tech, which isn't very well-liked in the wasteland. She always wondered why you were so unphased when committing murder. It all made sense now.
Piper would need a moment to process it all. To reflect on her interactions with you before with this new knowledge to know if she really wants to continue a relationship with you.
If you showed a kind personality, helpful and adventurous, then she would be willing to look past what you've done and continue the relationship between you two.
If not, then she would give you an ultimatum. You have to change, or she will leave you. She has a sister to care for, and she's a reporter that's fighting for the rights of people. She can't be in a relationship with someone that doesn't support her views.
Cait
When you first tell her, she's unsure what the enclave is. Being with the Raiders for the majority of her life, she hadn't gotten a very good education. Not that many wastelanders have.
The way she finally realizes what sort of fucked up person you used to be, she would start a huge fight with you. She probably chatted up Maccready about it, considering he was from the capital wasteland, even if he was a child, so he probably knew more about the whole enclave thing.
After Cait would give you an honestly bad beating out of frustration for trusting someone who used to be no better than the Raiders, she would be very much tempted to just leave you without even saying goodbye.
And trust me, she will if she thinks you have been showing red flags while traveling with her. She ain't the kindest, nor the most welcoming, but that doesn't mean she would tag along with someone that reminds her of her old oppressors.
If she thought that you were changed and a good person, or already helped her get off psycho, then she would give you one chance. One single chance to prove to her that you had that life completely behind.
She will sit you down and you better come completely clean about the things you did. If she finds out that you lied to her, she will leave you in the middle of the night and won't rejoin you.
Curie
Curie would be the most neutral about these things. Being created by vault tech and serving scientists who weren't the most morally good people, she was used to things others would see as bad in the name of science.
Curie would be the only one okay with you still being part of the enclave and would actually want to join the scientist team before you explain to her that they weren't exactly the most welcoming of non-humans.
She would be disappointed, but would jump right back, curious about what you've done and if you're currently on a mission. She would want to know every single detail.
If you aren't part of the enclave anymore and have changed, she would be happy for you. While she is disappointed to be unable to join such a huge scientific community, she will support you in your journey to better yourself.
In general, very little would phase Curie, as she is very new in her journey of selfhood and feelings. She may become more bitter about the fact later down the line, but for now, she's completely fine with whatever your choices may be.

Fo4 Companions When You Come Out As Queer
Word Count » 0.6k ➼ Warnings » None ➼ A/N » Happy Pride! I tried to make this broad as to include any identity in the community.
MacCready might be a little awkward about it at first, especially if you brought it up randomly, but that initial hesitance wears off quickly and he'll be back to his regular self, just with him doing his best to accommodate for your identity.
Nick understands what it's like to not resonate entirely with what people tell you you need to be or how you currently are, and would gladly help you navigate that while he figures out his own identity. Absolutely no judgment from him.
Cait has always been ready to beat anyone who disrespects you and that feeling doesn't change when you come out. She's still ready to sock anyone who says any off-comment about whatever you identify with.
Danse might get a little flustered because of how open you're being with him, especially if you've been keeping it hidden for a while. He doesn't mind that you're you, his main focus is gonna be on the amount of trust you have in him. If anything he's gonna thank you for talking with him about it.
Preston will hug you when you tell him. It's his way of telling you that you're accepted and appreciated here in the Minutemen, and nothing will ever change the respect he or any of the others have towards you.
Codsworth would be a bit surprised that you spent all this time keeping it a secret, but would be happy nonetheless that you told him. He'd immediately change the honorific he uses for you or altering some part of his routine to better accommodate you if needed.
If anything, Piper's excited. It almost feels like an act of rebellion against the world and the boxes you've been forced into and she's all for it. She'll be very vocally supportive toward you and will tell people off if they mess with you.
Curie would be excited as she could help you medically or emotionally if needed. She'll be super curious about it all and would ask you tons of questions just to make sure she's got all the details down right. She honestly just wants to make sure she knows how to best support you throughout it all and corrects people all the time if they get something wrong.
Strong doesn't care and thinks you're weird for even mentioning it. He'll be more confused than anything, it's gonna be impossible to try and explain any of it to him.
Hancock's whole thing is literally accepting everyone despite how they're perceived. You've got nothing to worry about coming out to him. In fact, you'll probably find him preaching about it around Goodneighbor. Soon you'll have tons of strangers congratulating you for 'staying free'.
Chances are Deacon's something of the sort as well. He even admits that he was a girl for a few days in his dialogue. He's in your corner, through and through, doesn't matter what you identify with. You come out to him and he'll respond with something like, "Same here."
X6-88 won't care. None of it affects the position you hold or your relationship. He might get a little more protective of you but he won't bring it up if you don't.
Gonna be honest with you, Old Longfellow has no idea what you're talking about when you tell him. He'll just shrug his shoulder, say 'ok', and go ask Teddy about it later. Even if he doesn't understand it, he'll try to be as supportive as he can. He's even willing to get into a bar fight for your sake.
Gage also couldn't care less. He doesn't wanna know who you are and aren't piping in your free time. If you're coming out as trans, then he'll give you a lazy salute and a simple, "You've got it, boss", and that'll be the end of it.

my feelings about fo4 romances thus far
ive done all of them except piper and danse i think. i have both planned but haven't achieved them yet. i know one major thing about danse's development but have no idea what happens after the discovery of the thing comes out and have even less idea why so many people are into him so I'm hoping I will Learn
currently i feel like im just being followed around by a domineering buzz lightyear. he's... nice enough if you do things he likes...? he's supportive. but I have yet to get any personality out of him other than "soldier" and I'm guessing that's probably the point, so maybe there's a side of him I haven't seen yet. i really want him to get the hell out of the power armor though it is so unnerving having him stomping after me in the middle of diamond city. like. boy calm down for one minute we are going shopping. if he stays in the fucking power armor for his "waking up beside you" animation i am going to actually lose it
anyway i dont have a problem with piper (except i hate that she calls you "blue" i really feel like most of my SS's would be offended by that. you're nicknaming me after the vault i was lied to and controlled in. where i was frozen against my will and forced to watch my spouse die in front of me and my son be taken away. it's not cute! ) i just hadn't gotten around to her bc i hadn't figured out a character to make sense with her yet/it didn't feel natural but i think im gonna double her with my preston file. i have like 6 ocs going here dont ask (ive got uhh. my main is curie + hancock, then i have one for maccready, another one with hancock, one with preston + eventually piper, one with cait + gage, one intended for danse)
ive romanced hancock twice and had to talk myself out of doing it again on a third file. this man is my weakness. i would do anything for him. his romance lines are so sweet he makes me cry. perfect. no notes. the way he's threatening and dangerous but only when someone deserves it, and so soft and loving to you? rough and a lil bit fucked up, a lil bit nasty, but so calm and comforting and supportive to you? kills me. destroys me. my comfort character is a fucked up chem addicted radioactive ghoul who wears a 500 year old coat every single day of his life and might've lost a toe somewhere
@ bethesda give me nick valentine
cait's honestly feels so weird to me. it's like her personality just totally changes. she goes from being rough and sarcastic to "anything for you my treasure :) my heart is yours my beloved :)" and it doesn't feel like character development so much as just like. character flattening. it was actively putting me off spending time with her anymore. its like its not her. do you get me. does anyone feel this. i havent seen anyone talking about cait that much honestly so i have no idea
@ bethesda give me nick valentine
curie was my first love and i still cannot believe they gave us a miss nanny robot wife. i wish she was more android after the change though. i know human-passing synths are totally indistinguishable but i want her to be weirder. i want curie with glowing eyes. i want to see circuits on her arms instead of veins. anyway she is so so sweet and such a unique character i love her but also i do not understand her bc i was looking at her likes/dislikes and she apparently likes the brotherhood and doesn't like the railroad which does Not Make Sense To Me At All. girl you're a synth
@ bethesda give me nick valentine
i never really got why people are so into porter gage until i went through his romance and he's still not really my type but like, i get it now. the "man don't make me talk about feelings and shyit. we're... we're great! you know THAT. :/ " is so cute. i wish there was a redemption arc/reformed raider option for him because i feel like he had potential for growth that he just wasn't allowed to realize. underdeveloped but he is a DLC character so i guess that's how it goes
@ bethesda give me nick valentine
maccready is also kinda dangerously close to "personality changed completely when romanced" but it feels at least less jarring than cait's. maccready reads to me as a person who is actually quite sentimental and sweet but has become jaded/has to act tough to fit in/to protect himself and he's taking his walls down for you. he's another one that still isn't really my type but i Get It Now. his little toy soldier thing still gets me every time. speaking my exact love language of "here is a little thing that is important to me and i want you to have it and think of me." i respect maccready enjoyers
@ bethesda give me nick valentine
i haven't spent a lot of time on the file i romanced preston on but i was fully not prepared for the fact that he calls you "babe" once you're dating. it's so cute. preston is so cute. i don't have a lot else to say other than he is So Cute and deserves more attention than he gets.
@ bethesda give me nick valentine

Random Fo4 Companions Headcannons.
With no explanation or order, because I said so.
Gage fucking hates coconut. Also tatos/tomatoes. And he's never eaten muscles/clams/squid but you couldn't make him. Honestly I see him being more of a picky eater than he would ever admit to. If you took him to a red lobster he'd sit in the bar with nothing and noticibly and angrily glare at you or the lobsters the whole time.
Danse loves kids, teaching them, working with them ect. But not only is he socially awkward as all hell, he's naturally a bit commanding which to kids is scary and to teens is annoying. He's aware of this, but has no idea how to mediate it so he just, "heyyyy....champ?"
Cait is the same way with kids but she just dips.
Playing poker with deacon would be like holding a staring contest with a statue.
Having a staring contest with x6 would be like playing poker with deacon.
A poker match or staring contest between deacon and x6 is like taping bread jamside up to a cat.
Dogmeat does that thing that cats do and tries to sit/sleep right on your chest and suffocates you.
Strong loves playing with toys, and wishes he had someone to play fight with. Also he understands that he's a super mutant and still feels like humans should be food, but still doesn't know why people don't like him and it makes him sad.
Piper is evil.
Preston sleeps in the fetal position. He also overheats a lot, but then gets cold, so sleeping soundly is an event for him. He would also make the best educator, of any level. Mainly cause he's clear and precise but also cause if you're stupid (like me) he doesn't get mad if you need things explained.
Ada is actually capable of moving faster but simply chooses not to.
Curie has a crush on Danse, but doesn't understand what that is emotionally so she just likes to watch him and try to learn about him. Danse finds this unerving and weird, but she's essentially harmless so he doesn't make her stop.
Old Longfellow is very lonely and just wants someone to tell stories to. (This might just be cannon ngl)
Codsworth is in denial about the bombs and the death of soles spouse and Shaun being gone. Synth Shaun wouldn't be able to shake him, and if ss chooses a romantic partner, codsworth is both very overly chummy with them, but also super passive-aggressive aggressive towards them.
Ham cooked loves lotion and stuff. Obviously it doesn't really do anything for him, but it's like cat nip to him. He just wants to rub it all over his face.
MacCready(how tf is ur name spelled dude???) sucks at taking care of others people's kids. He'll fight them, but like on their own level.
Kid: "you're a meanie!"
Mac: "Well YOU'RE A POOP FACE!"
*collective gasps and oooo's from other kids watching*

Request Guidelines/Masterlist Links
Here's a simple post that goes a bit more in depth on what I feel comfortable with writing, as well as what I don't feel comfortable writing. Honestly, request whatever you want when it comes to how you would like the reader to identify in your requests. This means I'm more than happy to write for my fem, masc, trans, and nonbinary readers. By default, I do use they/them pronouns in my posts, but if you specifically request certain pronouns or whatever the case may be, then I'll be more than happy to do that for you. Just ask! :)
As for the characters, I'm more than happy to do the same thing. Whether it be making them transmasc, transfem, nonbinary, or anything else that my brain is struggling to think of atm. I want everyone to feel included, so don't be shy to inquire if you're confused about something, either!

Discriminatory/Hateful Relationships
It'll really be up to me on whether the request is too intense or not. I'm usually easy going on what I will write, though the things I listed are things that I'm usually not going to be comfortable doing, if requested.

speaking of brave!
companions react to finding some horses? i dunno it seems neat!
A/N: Gosh, I wish we had horses in-game. It would be literally epic 😫 It'd be like Fallout 4 met RDR2 and that would be heaven for me 😍
I hope y'all enjoy this react!! Thank you for the request! 💙
Cait - Is wary at first, but once F!Sole tames and wrangles one for her and she realizes it can facilitate her running into battle and making swift attacks, she is all for it. F!Sole teaches her to ride and she ends up loving it, blazing into gun fights with a sawed-off shotgun in one hand and her reins in the other.
Curie - Does not really want to ride it, but she is exceedingly excited about the fact that this is a new specimen for her to examine. She starts on her research immediately, and she is the one that has the idea to experiment in breeding the optimum horses. Naturally, her project ends up attracting the attention of multiple important factions in the Commonwealth.
Piper - Is honestly super excited about it once her Blue shows that it's possible to train them and ride them. She immediately finds one that she names Harper, and she loves traveling the Commonwealth via horseback with F!Sole and her horse. However, they're not super big fans back in Diamond City, and they end up making her keep her horse outside of the city because horse manure has a suspicious way of showing up at the homes of people that Piper doesn't like.
MacCready - Is at first scared of them. Honestly, he stays a little afraid of them even after F!Sole starts breaking them. He prefers to have full control over where he's going and giving part of the control over to an animal that could kill him is a little scary. After he rides a few times, he overcomes the fear and actually likes it, but he has to have the most tame, docile horse that F!Sole breaks.
Deacon - Thinks they're cool, but still prefers to travel on the ground. However, when he gets the idea to pop a Stealth Boy while sitting on the horse's back, he has to try it. When somehow only known to the powers that be and Deacon that it works, Deacon can be found mysteriously appearing all over the Commonwealth with his pompadour riding a palomino.
Codsworth - Thinks that it's quite dandy to have a horse! He knew that Mum and Sir could never have one in their old home but it is good to see Mum having the opportunity to enjoy equine companionship now after the war. It is also quite a breathtaking sight to see the horses running across the Commonwealth. It would bring a tear to his eye if he were human.
Hancock - Cannot deny the rush of giddiness he feels when he sees them. He's always dreamed of riding a white horse around Goodneighbor and the Commonwealth. It fits well with his patriotic self-image. As soon as they find a white horse, he instantly claims it. However, trying to break the wild-spirited thing proves to be a true challenge indeed.
Danse - Is honestly intrigued after he finds that they are not some sort of threat. If it's Pre-BB, he wants to share the discovery with the Brotherhood in order to facilitate ground travel. However, if it's Post-BB, he ends up growing extremely invested in helping to care for them and train them with F!Sole. He ends up strangely really taking to rancher life.
Preston - Is very interested and excited. Similarly to Curie, he wants to try to breed them, but his motivation is to supply the Minutemen. With Curie's impeccable science in breeding the best traits in the horses that F!Sole finds, within the next several years, the Minutemen are supplied with the best mounts to patrol the Commonwealth.
Valentine - Finds it nostalgic in that Nick sort of way. He thinks that it's a good idea to use them for riding and breeding, but he also thinks it's nice to have wild ones riding across the Commonwealth. It adds a charmingly Western feel to things with the untamed steeds racing throughout the wilderness and through what remains of a life gone by.
X6-88 - Insists that they are unreliable and untrustworthy when it comes to riding them or anything else. They are too large and too skittish. However, deep within himself, he tries desperately to crush the strange desire to ride one. When F!Sole offers him a black one with a white star on its head, practically forcing X6-88 on its back, he tries to deny the happy feeling within himself. However, it becomes hard to find him at a time when he's not on his horse after that.
Dogmeat - Chases them when he first sees them. However, when F!Sole scolds him, he stops, realizing that these animals must not be for chasing. But if they're not for chasing, then why do they run?! He ends up befriending the ones that F!Sole brings to her self-built breeding farm that she plans and creates with Curie, and he believes that maybe they're big, giant dogs.
Strong - Immediately wants to eat it, having never tried horse meat. However, when he finds out that they are for riding and traveling with, he does not like it. Feet are for traveling. Animals are not for traveling.
ADA - Thinks it's a wonderful find especially since it will make travel easier for her human mistress. However, F!Sole soon realizes she needs to invest in some assaultron legs for ADA so she can actually keep up...

How would Piper, Nick, Cait, Deacon, and Hancock react to Sole being pregnant after a drunken one night stand who has a history of being a party girl and having a few hookups?
》I'mma crack my knuckles for this. Sorry, I've been distracted by Veilguard.
Tumblr media
【Piper】 "I told ya this was going to happen."
Maybe it's a little heartless but she straight says she warned you, she even told you the almighty pull-out method and anal. As long as you're okay she can't say she minds. She'll run around with you to make sure the trouble you get into isn't too bad. And if it is she'll be there so it'll be like it was not a big deal. She's seen you bring the Commonwealth to it's knees so she's not too concerned.
【Nick】 "Well, full of surprises, aren't ya?"
He's going to make sure you stay in a settlement and take it easy, because if you don't he'll make you live at his place to keep and eye on you. He'll also see if he can find the father if possible, even gets Piper and Curie to help him. Also depending how old you are depends on how protective he is of the situation and how much free reign you'll get. God forbid this is a teen pregnancy, you'll never leave his sight. Being in your twenties means you're walking on this ice. But thirties means he'll keep an eye out but barely anything else.
【Cait】 "Fuck."
She's not very happy. The Commonwealth is a dangerous place for many reasons and having a baby is not safe, medically or for security. If you survive giving birth now you have a tiny human who needs constant care. She's going to help and that's not up for debate.
【Deacon】 "You wanna make bets on what it'll look like?"
He tries to deescalate the situation with jokes. Whether or not it does decides how he proceeds. If you find it funny he'll follow through on the joke and you'll go through all the people you've had sex with, even throwing in whether or not they were any good. If you don't find it funny he changes his course and asks if you wants to see a doctor. You know what that means.
【Hancock】 "Oh damn, we gotta baby-proof this place."
He immediately prepares for the baby to come. Normally he'd ask what you would want to do but he's so preoccupied with the fact his friend is growing a baby in her he forgets to do his usual 'there's no shame in abortion' thing. If you decides that he'll prepare for that but he's kind of in a panic the whole time. He scrambles to get things and honestly he can't say he minds, it's actually a nice change of pace.

Can I request the companions over hearing sole admit they want to kiss/sleep with/be with them in a game of truth or dare?
Truth: if you could be with anyone in the settlement who would it be
Sole: Obviously (companion)! You know I love them
Thank you for requesting! I changed the truth or dare game to the companions just overhearing Sole talk about their feelings for them to a friend. It can still be read the same way though!
Cait:
Cait will have a field day. She won’t tell you she overheard you at all, but she’ll make a lot of comments trying to embarrass you or make you stutter. “We’d move a lot faster if you kept your eyes on the road and off me arse!” “Admiring the view, are you?” “Didn’t know you cared that much about me.”
Curie:
Instantly confronts you about your feelings because she’s confused about her own.
Danse:
Before BB: He’ll berate you for being unprofessional, not at all thinking about whether he himself has feelings or not.
After BB: He’ll contemplate whether he should confront you about it or not. He respects and trusts you a lot and there’s no one he’d rather be with than you, but he doesn’t think himself worthy of you so he’ll keep quiet.
Deacon:
Deacon will pretend like he didn’t hear anything. He’ll act the exact same as he’s always acted around you, but he won’t be able to stop thinking about your words. And he’ll hate it. Chances are, Deacon will try to find some excuse to distance himself from you for a while if not indefinitely.
Gage:
At first, Gage immediately thinks about how he can have some dirty fun with you, but he finds himself unable to act on it because he respects you too much. This confuses him and you’ll find him often spacing while you’re talking to him.
Hancock:
Chuckles to himself and is very flattered, but he won’t mention anything to you unless he notices you acting differently around him. (Like if he suddenly notices that you’re acting shy whenever you’re with him.) He’ll tease you a bit when that happens, but he won’t take things further or mention your feelings for him (or his feelings for you) because he thinks it’s just a crush and that you deserve better than him.
MacCready:
Mac will be - like Hancock - flattered and amused, and he won’t be able to hide it. He’ll smirk at you, wink at the most random of times and make flirty jokes in a very unsubtle way. If you blush in response, he’ll find it both hilarious and adorable. This can go on for a while before he finally confesses that he overheard your conversation. As you groan and hide your face in your hands in embarrassment, he’ll pull you in his arms while laughing before he reassures you that you are adorable and that he feels the same.
Nick:
Sighs loudly. He had not expected this and he doesn’t want things to become awkward or complicated. Without even thinking about his own feelings, he’ll sit you down and talk about it, trying his best to let you down gently.
Piper:
Knowing Piper’s horrible “journalism”, she might just write an article exposing you.
Honestly, I think she’ll talk to you almost instantly, not even caring that you’ll find out she was spying on you. She needs to know if you’re serious or not, because she is serious about you.
Preston:
In shock. He’ll tell himself to not mention to you that he overheard you, but every time he sees you, he’s reminded of it. Suddenly, he starts to look at you differently and notices that he too has feelings for you. Before he even notices, he’s spoken up: “General, can I talk to you about something?”
X6-88:
Doesn’t realize the significance of your words and just carries on. I’m not sure if coursers can forget things, but the information will be pushed to the back of his mind and is not likely to resurface.

rank the fo4 companions based on your opinion!!!!
Oh geez. Okay. :,) these are just my opinions!!
How I Rank Fo4 Companions
16. Old Longfellow
it all boils down to the fact that i hate far harbor and have never spoken to him once. automatically on the bottom because i know zero about him, but he seems crusty???
0/10 - never spoken to him 💀
15. Strong
i will never get used to traveling with a super mutant. constantly freaks me out every time he speaks or runs up behind me. also he hates everything i do because i’m a decent human??? annoying
0/10 - never reached the first affinity dialogue
14. Dogmeat
I’ve never traveled with him for longer than, like, one in game day. i like dogs, and he’s cute, but i like him better as a cute neighborhood pet for my settlement than as an actual companion. it’s personally way more interesting and fun to travel with another person.
1/10 - doesn’t have affinity
13. Ada
she’s really sweet and cute, but personally, i never play with her outside of the dlc and it makes me sad. overall i think i like people more just because they have real depth and personality. but she is very cute and i like when she gives me junk! sweet.
2/10 - doesn’t have affinity
12. Codsworth
again, even though he’s more personable, I just prefer humans and synths over robots. he is very sweet and i love that he calls me mum, and it’s perfect that he says my name, and the idea of him being pre-war like a foothold for sole is epic. i just wish he had more depth.
3/10 - a little sentimental, but more relieved than anything when I reach his final affinity dialogue
11. Curie
I don’t dislike curie, but… i don’t exactly like her, if you know what i mean. her storyline is pretty cool and she’s totally cute and sweet, but i honestly find myself more annoyed than anything when I travel with her. the whole hyper-emotional synth recalibration stuff is more inconvenient than anything when i just want a functional companion. just not someone i jive with, ya get me? don’t dislike, just not jivin and vibin.
4/10 - more relieved and excited to move to another companion when I reach her final affinity dialogue
10. Piper
i wanted to love her so badly but she is seriously one of the most annoying companions, in my opinion. she actually never shuts her mouth and comments on every single thing i do. i really wanted to like her, because she’s a reporter and i love to write, but i just can’t. i would still, weirdly enough, choose her to travel with over curie.
4/10 - more relieved and ready to be done than anything else when I reach her final affinity dialogue
9. Nick Valentine
his storyline is so good. he is so good. he is precious and the perfect fatherly figure for any freshly-thawed vault dweller. far harbor storyline is *chefs kiss* even if i hate every other part of it. (only played it for him.) i just feel like, the farther i go into the game, the more i forget about him. i wish he had more content because it’s bomb.
6/10 - final affinity dialogue makes me feel all warm and fuzzy
8. Cait
don’t get me wrong, i love cait. the whole tough irish girl trope is one i totally love. (if you can tell from my tough Irish girl™︎ mw2 oc) i really love most things about her and her storyline is near perfection, i just wish she had more content overall! also she gives me a laugh when she threatens our enemies. i straight up hated her for a while because i played a morally good player and couldn’t max her. but i did it and i like her now :)
6/10 - reaching final affinity dialogue makes me really happy!
7. John Hancock
this man is precious, and i seriously crave more in-game content for him. i wish he had a storyline like nick. his past has so much storyline potential! he’s adorable and i always run over to check on him when i get back to my settlements because he’s baby :,) muah. adorable.
7/10 - final affinity gives me some major warm and fuzzies, boyfriend material (i romance him every time)
6. Preston Garvey
preston is seriously underrated. just because bethesda chose him to deposit quests doesn’t mean he lacks character! i think he is a precious, loyal, good-doing little man and i love him! precious! the fact that he’s fiercely loyal to the minutemen and follows his peaceful cause to his death is seriously something i find so attractive
7/10 - final affinity made me tear up. romance him every time
5. X6-88
this is getting into the nitty-gritty now. my top five are extremely hard for me to put in order :,) i didn’t like him much before my very last play through, but gosh, this man had me wrapped around his little synth finger since day one. I actually got scared when i saw the notif “X6-88 disliked that” because i loved him and i just wanted him to love me too. the only thing i don’t like about him is his undying loyalty for the institute (since i’m a railroad gal) but the stars he puts in my eyes definitely helps me look past that.
8/10 - final affinity had me shaking. screaming and crying that he’s not romancible, i would do it all day every day
4. Paladin Danse
would drop everything i have done with the railroad and join him on the prydwen if he asked me to. (thank goodness he’s a synth) storyline? bomb. physical attractiveness? muah. personality? military man fire. angst central? give me all of it. he’s amazing. straight up perf. even if he doesn’t like to have fun, he’s one of my favorites to take with me
9/10 - i’m pretty sure i cried through like half of blind betrayal the first time. final affinity was making me question if i was actually in love with a video game character. romance always.
3. Porter Gage
he is a musty crusty dusty little raider man and i freaking love him. he gives jericho vibes. his accent is so attractive, and his past just makes me love him more. (don’t ask why, it won’t get you anywhere) would take over the commonwealth just for him. my very first sole packed up and moved from sanctuary completely into fizztop because of him and i don’t regret it. definitely a good number three because, if i’m not traveling with one of my top two, it’s probably him.
9/10 - final affinity had me freaking vibrating. can’t not romance this dude. the way he calls me boss makes me blush and i can’t
2. Deacon
ah, this man put up one heck of a fight for number one. and in some aspects, he is. his personable demeanor, his jokes, his past, everything he has hidden deep inside that sole only gets to know a fraction of is my kind of person. i love him so much. i wish he had individual content. and sadly, the only thing that puts him at a number two for me is the fact that he isn’t romancible. he is number one on all other cylinders.
10/10 - i think i almost fainted during his final affinity. downloading every single deacon romance mod ever because why the freaking heck would you make this charming man unromacible, bethesda? w h y ?
1. RJ MacCready
i mean, have you seen my username? his storyline is absolute perfection, he is adorable, he complains a lot but i love him for it, and he is in fo3? whats not to love about a reoccurring character just trying to do his best for his son? i love him, and on my very first playthrough, it was him and him always. when it wasn’t, it was deacon. I JUST WISH I GOT TO SEE THE RESULTS AND MAYBE MEET DUNCAN AT THE END OF HIS STORY JANENFJDJENDJS
1000/10 - final affinity made me cry. also cried once when i accidentally lost the toy soldier. romance all day every day, husband material, downloaded marriage mod just for him
keep in mind these are all my opinions! every companion could have easily been changed in the list if they just had more content! why do some get quests and some don’t??? where’s my deacon quests??? if he had some (and was romancible) he’d probably take number one ngl
