No but I have to many feelings about the Gerudo.

The shame. The shame of having given birth to the Calamity. Of having fostered and followed the man who will destroy Hyrule. To be reminded every day that monsters and malice were created by one of their own. That they will always have to fight harder than anyone else if they are to pay back all the lives that were taken by Ganon.

But also the despair. Realizing that their king, who had been promised to them, who had been prophesied, never cared about them. At the height of his power, he abandoned them. He never wanted to protect them, or even rule them, but to destroy them like the rest of Hyrule in order to attain true power.

It's also nice to see that they're doing incredibly well in the current era. Urbosa didn't need a prophecy to be one of the Gerudo's greatest ruler. And Riju didn't even need to be as good a warrior as Urbosa to be a competent leader.

You could say they never needed a man to govern themselves (ohoh! Gender!).

01. ff vii - the princess of a forgotten and isolated kingdom founded by the cetra hylia several thousand years ago. zelda is force to go into hiding after witnessing her kingdom become invaded by usurpers. taking with her an important artifact of hyrule, she takes on a new identify and finds herself seeking assistance in midgar. her knowledge in subjects involving the old world and cetra is invaluable, but her cluelessness on modern technology seems to hinder her understanding on the new world completely.

02. ff versus xiii - during the golden era of solheim, zelda's family ruled the capital with the blessing of solheim's heavenly artifact. under their rule, they were able to fend off hostile invaders and formerly assert themselves as a holy city. solheim was considered a world power that worshipped the ancient god lindzei ( and in turn was loyal to the slumbering god bhunivelze ). unfortunately, despite its current advancement it was unable to fend off niflheim and their surrounding allies attacks. the crystal broke and sent the world in period of darkness for the first time. the current chosen was zelda, who underwent a pilgrimage to save the ailing world. with the blessings of her ancestor and holy artifact, zelda was able to bring light back into the world at the cost of her life. similar to xiii, zelda has fulfilled her "focus" and while humanity considered her gone, the light maiden fell into a deep slumber embrace by crystal stasis for several centuries. she would eventually be awoken to a modern period where etro's power now wanes and a forgotten god slowly marks his return.

You didn’t even know if this would work, if they could pick up… But you didn’t know what else to do. Who else would be awake in the dead of night? No one… That’s who. Unless… There was someone who didn’t need to ‘sleep’ exactly.

 The dial tone taunts you as it continues on, you could swear that each tone was going to be the last, and that no one would pick up. You were almost ready to end the call too… To end it and not wait for the small hope you harboured to be squashed.

 Your thumb hovers over the end call button, but a sharp click and “Starlight?” is quick to catch your attention.

 You press the phone to your ear and the tears start falling, finally breaching the dam you had built.

 “Moon… Moon I’m sorry… I know it’s really late, but… I didn’t know who else to call…”

 You hear the click’s of him moving through the speaker, the silence almost making you regret calling. You wouldn’t want to talk to you this late either.

 “Starlight? Are you... Okay?”

 You weren’t, you really weren’t. Your tears threaten to close your throat, barely managing to squeak out an answer, the smallest “no.”

 A confirming hum comes from Moon’s side, “I see… Did we ever tell you about Sun’s lemon incident?”

 You nearly stop crying, a couple hiccups coming through as you messily wipe your face. Rough sniffling sounding as you wetly reply, “Lemon incident…?”

 A raspy giggle sounds from Moon, a couple clicks come across and then a soft fwump sound.

 “So… Sun had been told to clean the daycare and…”

 Moon tells the story of how Sun spilled a whole jug of lemon scented cleaning supplies on the play mats. It was so strongly scented they needed to close the daycare temporarily while a team was brought in to replace some mats and remove the scent. Sun was mortified, and Moon still holds it jokingly above his head. It only makes you giggle more when he mentions how much Sun didn’t want you to know about it.

 You finish your giggle fit and wipe some more tears off your face, “Thanks Moonie… That makes me feel better… but… Can we still talk about it tomorrow?”

 “Of course. Now, sleep Starlight. Even Stars need rest.”

 “Goodnight Moonie.”

 The call clicks off and you slip into bed.

started totk earlier today and i already have so many thoughts. i'm guessing it takes place 2-5 years (maybe longer with how much purah aged!) after botw considering all of the guardians/sheikah tech is cleared out, plus the zonai stuff has had time to settle a bit. where did all that sheikah tech go/get disposed to? what happened to the sheikah shrines? where did the zonai ruins and shrines come from? i feel like time/dimension shenanigans may be at work

and then there's just the whole sky islands thing and i want to scream. skyward sword with skyloft and moving to the surface and then totk and the islands are back. it's like how earth started with pangaea, is now continents, and will become one supercontinent millions/billions of years in the future. full circle. (though with the royal line totk is portraying, i think it can be safely said that botw/totk are on a separate timeline)

considering botw didn't have bomb flowers, like likes, sundelions, etc., can it be inferred that the seeds and fauna came from the zonai ruins and/or depths and thrived in the new environment? how much has the geography changed?

the little tidbit in the lookout landing emergency shelter where the one guy is looking at texts written in ancient hylian? ugh /pos the majority of the hylians are so research-oriented and i absolutely love it

why does hylia say "go and bring peace to hyrule" in botw, but "go and bring peace to the world" in totk? how much is truly at stake here? i'm excited to find out

If the champions survived calamity ganon you cannot tell me they wouldn’t have become the sages. Zelda would have still explored under Hyrule castle at some point, Ganondorf would have been found, and the champions would have become the sages because they’re divine beasts wouldn’t have been enough. Tell me that wouldn’t have happened.
