You know what could be fun for Ghosts Are Dragons? How to Train Your Dragon Crossover. 

Like, both seafarers and vikings were incredibly superstitious people, even if we don’t see that a lot in the movie series. 

And Danny well, he might’ve managed to convince Clockwork that you know what? They do deserve a vacation, fuck the Observants, let’s find a world where we don’t have to worry about the GIW and just vibe! 

Now Clockwork, as anyone with eyes can tell, has a soft spot for the little ghost, there are even bets on when he’ll finally bite the bullet and properly adopt the little hatchling. In fact it’s so obvious that several others, Pandora and Frostbite included, borderline kick him out, telling him to yes, do go on a vacation, remember what happened when we all told Pariah to have a vacation and he didn’t? Exactly! 

So there they go, a pair, er a trio, um, alright Clockwork currently has six hatchlings with him. Alright. Okay so he’s never had a vacation before (nevermind with his future vision mostly turned off) and is maybe a hint wrong-footed but that’s fine. It can’t be that hard, and really, he easily dwarfs even the biggest dragons in this world, so what’s going to mess with him, hm? 

Ah.

whenever I watch a really cool film about blackness full of beautiful and talented black actors and telling very black story - or like. ANY media centered around POC with little white presence, tbh - I’m always so excited to see some cool analyses or gifsets from tumblr about it and am inevitably disappointed when I see only a couple posts with like maybe 24 notes each.

unless there’s some famous British white boy in it for more than 0.2 seconds in which case it’ll boost it up to like ~75 on average with over 70% of the posts being thirst posts about the white dudes.

i shouldn’t be surprised when this happens at this point and yet I still manage to be disappointed

You could make a case for him having eidetic memory with instances like these:

But Shirai never confirmed it one way or the other, so one is free to take it as far as they want with their headcanons.

As for fanfics, do you mean where the narrative is shaped around his memory as the focal point or as a substantial part of the backdrop that informs his character?

I can't recall anything that would fall into the former, but for the latter I think of SuddenWhispers' Tethered

and @hylialeia's hoping you're someone i used to know.

Repeating myself from this post where I recommended them before, but it's always a treat when you find fics like these. Delivered in gorgeous lyrical cadence, such loving attention is paid to sentence composition that the words aren't merely a means to an end, but a reflection of a deep appreciation for both these characters and the craft itself, the weight of them meant to be lingered over and savored. Among my gold standard for TPN fanfic, and canon in my heart. <3
