#i have such weird dreams

Had a dream where among other weird events that started normally, I was counting the cash drawers at work, as I usually do 3-4 times a week, and for some reason I just kept finding weirder and weirder things in with the actual money.

Started really plausible with coins just being in the wrong spot. And then with fake coins and coins in the wrong currency. And even a damaged dollar coin that had a hole through the center of it.

But then I found several old button pins. Cold War era with designs that probably don’t exist but did totally make sense. Things like “Nuclear Energy not Nuclear Weapons” and one with a picture of a woman that said “don’t think, just duck” in regards to, likely, my brains interpretation of the What to Do if They Send a Nuke Our Direction pieces that were so common then.

Then I got distracted discovering that most of the dimes weren’t real but rather were just small circular-ish pieces of metal. Like not even of a convincing size or shape. Very obviously just not money of any type at all.

And then suddenly it was Barbie’s and barbie accessories that I was sorting. And I remember getting mad because nothing was sorted correctly and I had to waste my time putting everything in the right groups. Because the Barbie accessories had very specific currency properties that no one else was doing correctly??? I honestly think that that’s on brand. I do love to arbitrarily sort things into very specific categories and get upset if it’s changed or disturbed.

The only take away is that I wish I had those Cold War era fake button pins. Curse my subconscious for giving them to me and then taking them away.

had a dream where america decided it’s time to eradicate rabies in the whole country, which is good!!

but for some reason the government, a reason unknown to me in the dream world or me in the real world, a reason possibly not even god knows, decided against doing anything practical to give it to the animals, and instead hired a professional dart thrower to somehow administer it to the all the animals in the world

and she actually did it?? like the whole thing?? the dream ended with her being like “thank you, all this was a really cool challenge for me :)”

i hope this is how we do irl too. because it’s funny

I had a dream about some fantasy shit and I had to give a name in order to sign up on a magical race and I gave « Zielo » and then the girl signing me wrote « Zielrap » and I was like wtf that not what I say. And, bcs I’m anxious and hate conflict, even in my dream 🙃, I said nothing and just take the name she gave me… and in my dream I remember telling myself, that James would do the same, only for different reason. He would take the wrong name with a smile and not even complain about it for the sake of not making someone uncomfortable with their mistake. And I feel like he is able to complain but only if it’s not for himself.

The best fics are the ones that recognize that although Luke Skywalker may APPEAR on the outside to be a normal friendly twink who happens to have cool powers, especially when contrasted with such ship partners as Boba or Din or even Han, he is arguably the scariest person alive in the galaxy around the prequel era. AND, crucially, he is also a fundamentally weird guy. This man was homeschooled on a rural farm his entire life and then apprenticed to a swamp gremlin who showed him how to tap into the cosmic power of the universe. He blew up the death star age 19, killing approx 2 million-ish Imperials. He is a vortex of Force power that can communicate with the ghosts of dead Jedi. He’s staring into the distance and mumbling to himself and doing Yoda aphorisms and casually pulling out the “yeah I could crush that guy into a paste with my mind (:” and nobody around him knows what to do with that. I think he is a character who has very little frame of reference for how a Jedi or a person in general is supposed to act and there is some thing about him that is by necessity really fucking weird and a little scary but he’s so nice that it can throw you off the scent a little bit. i had a dream last night that i organized a tumblr meetup and we all agreed to go to a local bar together. so i go to the bar but it was a really busy night and i didn't want to ask every stranger "are u here for tumblr reasons" bc that's embarrassing and i'm shy. so i just got a drink and felt very awkward & hoped someone would approach me. tried to look inviting and like i was from tumblr but not like i was "from tumblr". when i left some girl stopped me to ask if i was there for the meetup but i was too shy and asked what's tumblr?

in the dream i went home to make a post about how nobody showed up to the tumblr meetup but my entire dash was people saying they'd gone to the bar but were too fucking shy to admit to being on tumblr so we'd all just had a drink and gone home
