One thing I really appreciate about tsc is how much more sense Kevin makes. When I read aftg I was like why the fuck can't Kevin go anywhere on his own. Without a tiny, mean, blonde security blanket. And it's not really explained until we get the behind the scenes info in tsc and it's like oh. oh. Andrew, my boy, perfect, squishy hearted boy. Helping Kevin reintegrate, making things just a little easier for him, which, to be clear, he did not HAVE to do. But Andrew saw someone scared, in pain, and had to help him. Like no wonder Neil fell so hard.

My roommate (who is reading aftg for the first time, I’m so excited!!) saw this on our trip to a library and told me “we should send this to Neil” and for those who don’t speak French the title say “how to make friends” xD

Okay I finished rereading the aftg trilogy. Now what ?

I think something super heartbreaking is that Kevin is obsessed with the Trojans and Jeremy bc they're good at exy and Jeremy is hot yada yada yada but also the Trojans win the Day Spirit Award for great sportsmanship every year that was named for his mother and Im obsessed with the concept that Kevin idealizes one of the parts his mom brought to the sport, I think even subconsciously. He trained under the ravens for so long that that aspect of the sport was lost on him but he sees his mother's namesake embodied by the Trojans. Also super similar to jean not being able to understand how someone could succeed like the trojans do without violence, Kevin was also raised with exy and violence being synonymous and could never even dream of winning his mother's award. Oh god I've made myself cry

The fact that Neil often looses track of time when he is with Andrew (mostly when they are kissing and other things) is a very strong confession that he trust Andrew with his life. Because Neil is often checking time, keeping track of it, even seeing naps as "wasting of time". So for him to forget about it means a lot in his feelings for Andrew I think.

Trans Regulus and Evan who grow up in a bubble. 

Their mothers always bringing them together for playdates so that they don't interact with other kids. Neither of them realising that the dresses they wear and the dolls they play with mean they're being raised to be ladies, wives, mothers. 

Regulus and Evan who love the bows and tea parties, who call their dolls things like 'Bartholomew' and 'Jacques', because they're boys and it doesn't matter that they have frilly dresses and long hair.

Trans Regulus and Evan getting their hearts shattered as the reality of life hits them when they each wake up one morning between bloodied sheets and their mothers talking about the women they're becoming. 

Regulus and Evan who start hating the dresses and bows and the long hair, because it's no longer fun, no longer harmless. Now it means something.

When the Maserati brand talks to Andrew about being the face of their new sports line, Andrew looks at the high-end cars with a bored expression.

Naturally, they are going to give him a car. Andrew calmly lights a cigarette, without responding. The public relations get nervous.

"I guess you know I have a doppelganger. They confuse us quite a bit, unfortunately for me. What will people think of me when they see me driving a Maserati one day and a Honda the next? That's not good for my reputation, Brian. "

Maserati's public relations director is not named Brian, and besides, what Andrew says would be bad for the Maserati brand, not him. Paul lets him know. Andrew nods.

"You're right, Paul. I must have been wrong about Brian Mc. Adams," Andrew says.

The representative knows that Brian Mc. Adams is the CEO of Ferrari.

"We could double the offer. As long as we offer him something, his brother will receive the same."

"Mine will be black. My double's will be bright orange" Andrew declares without hesitation.

"Is that your brother's favorite color?" Paul asks.

"What do you mean, Paul? My brother hates bright orange."

Paul doesn't try to understand that logic and they sign the contract.

These are Andrew's birthday gifts to Aaron.

It’s so fucked-up that Neil is such a caring person but was raised to shut this side of him down. It’s in the way he has to make effort to NOT learn things about people…

The most iconic thing about Neil is the fact that his #1 character trait is being good at staying alive, and his #2 is being really, really bad at it.

This book is a comedy, I laugh out loud every time. Poor Andrew, crushing on a dumb demi is hard xD

I love that the more we progress in aftg trilogy the more Neil’s thoughs return to Andrew. All the discussions he has always ends up with him thinking what Andrew would think/do about this or that. And he isn’t even aware about it. The Demiromantic is demiromanticing !

It always astonishing me when I reread aftg and Andreil happens only in the third book. Like, all the roof scenes happens in the king’s men and I am surprised every time.

I think we don’t talk enough about the fact that Nicky basically offered Andrew and Neil a matching outfit for Christmas in the beginning of The King’s Men.

i love reading andreil's interactions pre-tkm or even pre-trk because they're so hostile with each other it's so funny, they don't like each other at all. meanwhile i'm rubbing my hand together like "hehe you have no idea what awaits you you FOOLS. you guys are gonna LOVE each other unconditionally, live TOGETHER and raise KITTIES while living a good, domestic life forever you MORONS 😏"

It's been two weeks since I reached the thanksgivings chapter and I've postponed reading it. Because I knew it was going to make me angry. Well I was wright and now I’m mad and sad and Luther can rot in hell because I hate him so much.

Not Neil being “celebrating Halloween is such a childish thing to do. Nicky, Kevin, Aaron and Andrew are so immature” just for him to hide a animatronic raven that cawed at him behind a skull because it reminds him of the Ravens’ team… who is immature now ?
