they are very cute they are also tiny bastards. Fetta is a terror and a menace she eats my books shes destroyed several phone chargers shes taken chunks out of my wallet she has bitten holes in my clothes WHILE i am wearing them. Freddy is on medicine and she likes it Too Much it comes out of a little plastic syringe and she will hook her teeth into the end of the syringe and fight me for it, she literally took off the end of it, so I started putting the medicine on my fingertip to give to her but she somehow doesn’t understand the difference between me and the syringe and will hook her teeth into my finger and try to drag me into her cage. She stops once she realizes she’s hurting me she just gets too excited that is the only circumstance either of them has ever bit me or been aggressive at all. wait no that’s a lie Fetta tried to bite me once but she was recovering from surgery and not feeling good and I was stressing her out changing her bandages. Other than that. theyre very very sweet they groom my hair and hands they snuggle with me Freddy will take naps in my sleeves it’s cute. theyre very smart and social they recognize me im their buddy Fetta likes other people Freddy really only likes me and my little siblings she gets shy when other people are in my room she burrows her face into the crook of my elbow. they go fucking NUTS for scrambled eggs i have to spectate them because they Will fight over eggs otherwise they are best friends and snuggle together and groom each other and wrestle around but if eggs are involved they become monsters. i make them little rat sized pancakes sometimes :] ok im gonna stop ill go on forever they are my special little guys. fetta did a backflip one time

I ship him with everyone! yes, even [insert character]. I always tag ships so block the tag or w/e if theres one you dont like.

I truly and genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, do not care even a little bit about The Grievances u may have about my ships or my sneeps. I cannot stress enough how much that is not my problem. If you're the type to throw a tantrum over ships and fictional content I'm just gonna block you tbh.

Dark/Fucky content WILL be found on this blog. Snape was practically MADE for that shit and I like to project my traumas onto him so like. ykno. I expect adults with critical thinking on here ONLY.

not to be rude, but i kind of only care about Snape really. the slytherins are cool and chill too (especially Lucius, Rosier, and Mulciber), but i mostly care about how they interact with and potentially fall in love with The Sneep. the marauders are rat bastards and i ship them with Snape in a "grovel eternally for the scraps of his affection" kind of way. I am not sorry.

dont expect nothing serious from me unless im waxing poetic about Snape or heavily projecting my own Tragic Past onto him tbh, and even then...

i have zero interest in any debates whatsoever. i cannot emphasize this enough, my thoughts are disjointed and nonsensical. The mere thought of having a serious debate about anything is stressful and unpleasant. I mean it as kindly as possible when I say it makes my eyes glaze over.

And... I will use your message as a reason to ramble for a while about the latter because some may find it interesting. But, also, that's just something that I would REALLY like to know about many years ago. Plus, it made me think about composing and stuff. Plus, it's important to reflect a little. Plus it hit me hard because I hated it. Ready. Set. Go.

Posing is tedious for me, so I often turn to composite some elements in 3d early on. The thing is: it's way easier for me to sketch a character or a background when I have even the most primitive blockout in 3d. Basic blockout and 3d grid that comes along with it. It's a package.

Happily, I haven't deleted some of my files, so I can further elaborate.

My first case in point is a Day 5 scene.

As usual, I have a vague idea of what I would like to make. I sketch it:

Then I use this... caveman of a sketch as a reference point when working in software. I'm familiar with 3ds Max, SketchUp, Maya, but the recent version of Blender is wonderful for modeling, so I'm happy to use it and preach about it. So this pic and every other comes from Blender 2.83 specifically:

It looks like a rat's ass. It's not even rendered; it's a goddam print screen, which is what makes it hilarious and practical. So besides the object itself (initially a coffin), the 3D grid makes things turn. For the better. Because it makes me think about perspective and funny ways to skew things, find nice angles, and play with them. The blockout also makes you question the initial idea and ways to enhance it. And when I find a fairly nice angle, I create a Camera to 'save the view' (so I can later come back to it) and PrtScn to get the image to .psd file:

Wow. Messy.

And on that PrtScn, I sketch things, rotate stuff (again, angle changed) characters, background elements, effects, everything. My point is, this stage of wrapping things up is way nicer&faster because I have a grid and object somewhere in the background to keep me in check. The later stages are just... drawing stuff.

And the second case in point:

Again, primitive as hell, but it works for me. Thanks to that, I can pose characters somewhat in relation to the shot, not ideally (I can pinpoint mistakes on two hands and few others), but uh, it's... okay.

So, that's my babbling about how posing works for me. I used the same method on days 2 and 3 (I can't draw stars. At all. So I have to model them X'D).

Again, initial sketch and modeled shaft with instructions.

It all may seem like taking too many extra steps. Turning to a completely different program and 'vaguely doing stuff in there' and then going back, isn't it a bit messy? Well, for some, yeah; for folks like me is reasonable and even necessary to create this fact-checker.

Well, I remember that at some point, I was very reluctant to use 3D software as a 'walking stick,' to the point I even considered it 'cheating.' Silly *bonk*. I call BS on myself. During internship, I remember seeing illustrators working on blockouts made specifically for them by 3d generalists. It's standard practice, makes things faster, better, and easier. 'Play smart not hard' as someone posted on Twitter a few days ago about gustholomule tags #. I couldn't agree more. I believe this rule also applies to more than one area of life.

For the 'Make me choose' one: Fountain pen or ballpoint pen to draw? :D

Thanks! My brain lagged and for some reason I thought it said “pen fountain” and I was like wtf even is that how am I supposed to CHOOOOOSE??????? :D And I actually had to google what even is “fountain pen” and I don’t think I’ve ever really drawn with those, maybe have had something as a kid but I feel like if I had, my mom would have hoarded all those because they’re too expensive or fancy to be used by clumsy kids? So I will say ballpoint pen, even tho normally I draw only either with pencils or fineliners/markers :D (And then I have this one weird hybrid pen called Pilot Greenball, it’s from recycled materials and has a capsule of black “ink” but it basically works like a ballpoint pen, but I never draw with it, only write.)

Anyhow, sometimes I have drawn with ballpoints tho, mainly when I’ve been bored and that’s been the only pen available and I have started doodling. And as a kid I used pens a lot more often until I figured how much more I like drawing with pencils etc. Here’s one VERY old drawing - apparently made in 2010 like the date says too :D (I was 19, and I had come up with this drawing style somewhere in the early 2010. I’ve been a fan of the band since 2009 and before that I actually drew them as _horses and also as rats because I didn’t know how to draw humans lol.)

And yes, I had too much fun with the flowers ::D No idea if you even like the ship or not, but I also have one of my first dä drawings (at least in this human-style!), which was also drawn with a ballpoint pen - and apparently I have named it as “a dä boredom drawing” (but in Finnish):

I think I might have been in school when I drew this. And YES my English was... something :D I was still only 19 and I always struggled with how to call “reference photos”. I often called them as “model pics” because, well duh, “malli” means both reference and model in Finnish and I was stupid :D:D:D:D:D:D:D You can still find this awesome translation from many of my old posts on Deviantart lol. I hope I never called them as “mall photos”, tho. That would have been... awkward. What if people were looking for photos of malls and then there was me with the portraits I drew? (Well it’s very possible that I actually did use that on a drawing... *facepalm*)

Oh, sorry, my answer kinda got out of hand but I love nostalgy and arts and drawing and talking, so... yeah XD But at least I think I can safely say that I have improved!!! And a lot, during these 10 years (even tho there was probably like 5-7-year pause when I drew absolutely nothing at all because working and studying sucked all the energy out of me).

Also the 19-years-old me was cringy af, I know :D Which is why I don’t even tag this with my dä tag because... yeah, you get the point :D
