Hamburg or anywhere in Northern Germany near Hamburg. I’m from the south but I prefer the north. The sea, the mentality of the people there, the beautiful hanse towns, the fact that an entire sentence can be expressed just by the word “Jo” (which can mean pretty much everything). I could go on.

the first song from this album I heard: I bet it’s the one almost everyone has heard first: Du riechst so gut. I knew about Rammstein long before I started to listen to them and even if I wouldn’t remember it, I have heard and seen all the videos long time ago and this just is almost always shown as the first one everywhere and something people start with when they start watching videos, and I bet that’s how it was for me too.

do I own the album?: Yes, only on a cd and wondering if I should put money on the remastered or not.

my favorite song: Asche zu Asche.

my least favorite song: Rammstein.

a song I didn’t like at first, but now do: Seemann. I still sometimes skip it but not because it’d be bad, but because I’m not on the mood for such slow songs 24/7. But when I’m on the mood for listening to the album without skipping too much, it’s actually quite pretty song.

a song I used to like, but now don’t: “Don’t” is a bit too strong here because usually I never end up hating songs I have once liked, and I have been listening to R+ since I was 21 or so and after that age my music taste hasn’t changed too much and I don’t grow out of music or bands that easily anymore. But I want to answer to this with “Du riechst so gut” because it’s again the same story as with any single release that is always mentioned everywhere, played in every document at least once and usually always the same clips. It just gets so worn out when you get exposed to the song so often without asking. I don’t skip the song, but it I have the rolleyes syndrome every time it or one of the other most famous R+ songs are mentioned in documents. I have also heard this song live now for 4 times and I don’t think they’re gonna get rid of it anytime soon and yeah, it’s great live too, but still it’s just too often everywhere and my brain doesn’t get the dopamine from it anymore. Or at least not that often as what it did before.

my favorite lyric: Again I have no clue of lyrics but now it just made me think of that one line from Rammstein, “Ein Mensch brennt”, because I think die ärzte said that too on last year’s... I think it was the Rock am Ring, they mentioned R+ a few times during that, especially Bela seemed to be quite hyped, and I remember hearing this line and wondering why is it so familiar and then it hit me, of course, it’s from a song by Rammstein! :D

overall rating out of 10: I would say 6/10. It’s not my favorite Rammstein album, the best songs are at the beginning of the album and after those I start my skipping routine and always am amazed by how fast the album ends because there’s maybe a couple of songs I feel like listening to after those good songs. But usually when I listen to the full album, I will listen to it as a whole, maybe skipping just the last song because it’s just too slow for me.
