a/n: thank you to everyone who encouraged me to actually write this lmao. honestly couldn't wait till valentine's day to post this.

Tashi had a penchant for spoiling you. It came naturally to her, like second nature. She'd walk past a jewelry store and see a dainty diamond necklace hanging from the display, and right there, decide you'd have to have it. You often found yourself thinking about it; about the day she'd kiss you again and touch your face so softly as of you were some fine china. When she'd finally have enough of this game of cat and mouse and finally decide to claim what's already been hers for the longest time.

The thought excited you, but you knew regardless of how much she'd want that, she wasn't going to make the first move (that much was obvious from the way she left you high and dry in her pool without as much as a word) so you took the liberty of giving her that final push she needed.

Of course, for Valentine's Day, she had decided to take you out to dinner. She insisted that there were no ulterior motives behind it, just a nice night out to get the tike over with. Neither of us have Valentine's, she had reasoned with a small smile, so why not be each other's, right?

You accepted her offer (you always did, reckon you would've taken it even if you had a valentine) and allowed her to take you out to dinner. She was a sweet soul beneath the hard exterior she showcased the media, and you felt your tummy run rampid with butterflies for getting to experience this side of her.

After dinner, she had taken you back to your hotel room, the one right across from hers, and as she made ready to bid you goodbye for the night, you put your plan into action. "Before you go, I wanted to show you something," you said softly, hands damp with nerves as they held onto the boquete she had gifted you. "Can you come inside for a minute?" you asked, and she nodded, following you as you made your way inside your hotel room.

You quietly led her to your bedroom, placing the flowers on your nightstand and making her sit on the edge of the bed. She watched you with unwavering attention, eyes languidly drifting down your entire body until her eyes met yours once again. All the previous confidence you had built up throughout the night seemed to evaporate under her intense gaze. Nevertheless, you took a deep breath, steadying yourself before your shaky hands were carefully tugging at the zipper of your dress and the pulling your arms from the straps until the material fell to the ground with a soft thud.

You watched the way her eyes widened in the slightest at your scantily clad figure in front of her, just out of reach. Against her better judgment, her eyes traced the soft material that kept the last bit of your modesty. "Do you like it?" you asked softly, voice somewhere between flirtatious and genuinely questioning.

"Is this what you want?" she asked, voice light and airy as she looked up at you from her sat position. You were nodding before the words even properly left her mouth, heat settling in your lower belly at the realization that you might've finally broken through to her. "You really know how to cheapen the moment, y'know," she said jokingly, small smile present as both her hands left you in favour of holding onto your hips.

"I still think about that night at the pool," she confessed, eyes not on you but on her hands as her thumbs softly rubbed the waistband of your matching thong. "Then why didn't you stay that night?" you asked, hands travelling up the soft skin of her arms till you rested your hand on her shoulders. "I dunno," she said, eyes once again meeting yours. "Im sorry," you smiled, "but have to be honest, its kinda what it looks like to everyone else," you said with a small smile. "Yeah well I haven't been fucking you so."

"Not yet," you teased, sly smile on your lips as you watched her shake her head in disbelief. "You really want that?" she asked, fingers almost absent-mindedly tracing the embroidered heart on the front of your underwear, making a shiver run up your spine. "Mhm," you hummed, and she raised her eyebrows in question. "Mhm?" she repeated, teasing you. "Yes, I want it," you spoke up, hands tightening their grip on her shoulders in the slightest. She took a few more moments to admire your lingerie before standing up with a small huff. "Okay," she said, hands still absent-mindedly rubbing at your hips. "Get on the bed."

Welcome to Lavender's and Carnation's, an MCYT Pride Month Zine!

This is a zine dedicated to and honoring the queer CC's who have made an impact on this fandom and their fans! It'll feature art, fanfic, and stories about how openly queer CC's have helped people accept/become more comfortable in their identities! (Which, by the way- you don't have to be signed up for the zine to share your story! Anyone can submit one!)

So, how exactly is this zine going to work?

Lavender and Carnation's will feature art and writing like most zines, but it has a special addition to the usual- you can submit your own stories without having to be an official contributor!

Have a CC who helped you become more comfortable with your identity? A CC's character who's impacted you via their story, or has helped you through a rough time in your life? Share your story (anon or not) and you can have it featured in the zine, interspersed with art of that CC's characters and stories!

Okay, this sounds awesome! But wait, how do I apply? What's the criteria for a CC getting nominated for this event? What's the schedule?

Great questions! Here's a basic run-down of the event (along with links to fully explain it)

Applications

There are four roles you can apply for within this event;

Mod

Mod's will help manage the discord server, answer questions, and offer any assistance you may need while creating your piece!

Cover Artist

Cover artists will either be able to apply for the zine cover (which will be a full page spread all the CC's featured in the zine), or as a CC cover artist (which will be a full page spread of all of a CC's character's/relevant side characters)

The applications are open for two zine cover artists, and one artist per however many CC's end up in the zine.

Artist

Non-cover artists will be creating half/quarter page illustrations to be featured along side submitted stories! These drawings can feature the CC themself, a character they portray (alone or with friends!)

If applicable, they can also apply to do a full page drawing of a canon queer relationship with a CC's character in it. (This will only include relationships that are explicitly stated to be romantic/queerplatonic. Examples of this are Milo and Scott from Witchcraft SMP and Aismey and Guqqie from Area Unknown.)

Writer

Writer's can apply to create a piece of writing exploring/featuring a canonical queer character’s identity/relationships. This can feature headcanons for other characters, but please avoid gender-bending for ships (ie, making a M/F ship M/M or a F/F ship M/M!) or changing the canon identity of the CC’s character!

CC Nominations

CC's are nominated based on what the community wants! A Google form with be posted on January 25th where you can nominate your favourite CC's to be featured in this zine. If your CC gets 10 nominations, they'll be considered for the zine!

After that, if enough people sign on to create for your CC, they'll be featured on the zine!

The event officially begins on January 12th with an interest check!

CC Nominations and Mod applications open on January 25th and end on February 5th.

The discord server opens on February 8th, followed by Contributor applications opening on February 10th and closing on February 23rd.

Okay I promised I'd share my Splinter reference notes, so here I am! Also wanna take a moment to thank everyone reblogging the prev. parts. All the tags/notes are so sweet!!! Anyway, here's our one and only Rat Man,

Splinter Character Notes

Language Habits:

Catchphrase: "HOOOOOT SOUP!!!"

Will yell "whoa/oh nelly!" when in a tight spot or stumbling around

Makes puns/dad jokes, and laughs at said jokes to himself

A poor liar, will skirt around the truth until you drop it

Penchant for interrupting people if he's not interested, devout user of "yada, yada", "ah, bup, bup, bup"

Verbalizes his attacks/moves, something his sons pick up on. Could be a habit picked up from his action star days, such moves include: lights off jitsu, and slow motion jitsu

Uses 2010's slang, (i.e. "totes", "chillaxed"), could see him incorrectly using up to date slang to embarrass his boys

In a group refers to his sons as "boys"

One by one will refer to his sons by their designated colors, but will pull out the full name (not nickname) if the situation is serious

Also refers to Donnie as "the funny one"

Personality:

A performer, well he is an actor after all. He knows how to captivate an audience. Splinter likes attention--something that may be connected to his strict childhood with high expectations--but he also performs for his boys. To keep them happy, but most importantly safe. This also means he keeps his true emotions tucked closely to his chest

Jovial. Despite his dark past and heavy responsibility thrust upon him at a young age, Splinter is always laughing. He finds the fun in everything

Secretive. As mentioned before, Splinter tends to keep things close to his chest. Despite this, he's a terrible liar. He'll just avoid the truth until it comes back to bite him in the ass. This makes him sometimes a little emotionally unavailable

Lazy. He always finds the easiest way to do something, and procrastinate on his responsibilities as long as possible

Vain. He's glory seeking for all the proper attention he lost in his youth. So the Lou Jitsu aspect of his life boosted his ego in irreparable ways. He also uses the identity of Lou Jitsu to escape from the idea of being stuck as a rat. Glorifying the past is way to find comfort for him

Adrenaline junkie. Part of that glory-seeking and glorification of the past manifests into him needing adrenaline to feel alive. (i.e. when he steals the tank)

Attentive and empathetic. He can be a little hare-brained when it comes to remembering the details, but he's always very attentive to his sons needs. In flashbacks he's shown to supply them with items needed for their interests (i.e. little Mikey gets art supplies), and always apologizes when he messes up (i.e. the conversation he had with Donnie). This empathy also extends to other people and animals, as he was sympathetic with Cassandra when she was lamenting about the foot clan and was immediately worried about the turtles Draxum had in his lab

Protective. He would sacrifice everything to save his sons, and he does

Miscellaneous:

His tail is Very expressive, and one of the most active parts of his body, so if you want to subtley show emotion I'd focus on that

Has a Lou Jitsu body pillow

Remembers all his stunt double's names

Snores loudly

Talented singer, can sing opera and lived next to a karaoke bar in Japan

The show he watches the most is called "Soapy Treadmill", a Japanese game show where they throw things like scorpions at people who are soapy on treadmills

Has a "do not touch!" cabinet, full of trophies, mystic artifacts, and mementos of his past

I have a List of all the mentioned Lou Jitsu movie names mentioned in S1, but I'm probably gonna wait till the end of my S2 rewatch and post it separately (it's also long too). Will link here!

I'm also gonna add a recommendation here at the end.

This is for the white and non East Asian folks. I'm not as well-versed in East Asian or Japanese culture, but Splinter is a first generation immigrant! He keeps a distance from his heritage because of the trauma of his youth, and the role Lou Jitsu probably also forced him to westernize his identity to make it more palpable to Hollywood. But it would be a disservice to sever parts of his identity, because one is uncomfortable or not knowledgeable in writing it.

For my white folks intimidated by writing a person of color because they want to get it right, research always helps. Research helps with everything!!! writingwithcolor here on tumblr actually has a lot of useful resources, here's their guideline, and a research chart one of their moderators created, which I personally found to be very helpful. I believe their ask box is closed right now, but if you ask questions in the future be nice!!!!

Idol!Wanderer & Graphic designer!reader would;

Have met back when wanderer was just a trainee taking a break in a park, and [name] was struggling to look for inspiration

Wanderer sighed as he stared at the sky from where he laid. A tree branch, to be exact. It was evening, and there were too many dog owners, elementary school kids, old grannies, and trash divers roaming around the park. He was far too tired to witness the business of a place which should be much more relaxing (in his opinion), and a large tree in a slightly less busy corner of the park seemed to have called him. And there he was, resting his slim body on the wide branch of the tree, watching the blue sky fade into reddish hues through the gaps between the conveniently placed leaves.

Meanwhile, after a week of art block, a week without a single commission, even for an artwork, never mind any graphic designs, [name] was strolling through the city, walking around wherever his legs took him, searching for inspiration.

The sun was setting, and just as [name] decided to give up and call it a day (un unsuccessful, fruitless one), from the corner of his eye he saw a man, resting on a branch, looking so in sync with nature, and so far from human.

He was beautiful, the way his purple hair was slightly messy, and dancing in the mild breeze, the way his eyes were closed in the most perfect manner, showing his rounded eyelids, his clothes all ruffled up from whatever he was doing. His smooth, pearly skin, a perfect contrast to his clothes, hair, and greenery around him.

He looked like art. And his peaceful demeanor shone a light upon the dark corner of [name]'s mind where he had lost all his creative ability.

"Do you need something?" The man on the tree asked, without even opening his eyes.

"I- yeah kind of... can I sketch you?"

Have taken years of pining for them to finally realize they liked each other. Surprisingly enough, wanderer would have known first.

"I think I like you." [name] confessed. It was in the heat of the moment, seeing how beautifully wanderer danced on the stage, how smoothly his voice flowed to the crowd, and how adorable he looked quietly evading the crowd and dragging [name] backstage.

Wanderer continued to drag him somewhere silently, and [name] looked away, anywhere but wanderer's figure.

"It's fine if you don't- just forget about what I said I mean you probably don't even like guys and-" but wanderer cut him off mid sentence.

"Just wait till we go somewhere more private."

"Okay..."

Wanderer brought [name] to a secluded corner of the dressing area, turning around to face him and keeping a firm yet gentle hold on his shoulders.

"Say that again." He demanded, the slight red at the tip of his ears covered by his purple hair.

"I like you. A lot. I dont know when it happened either I just do and I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable but please don't let us lose what we hav-"

"Who said I'm uncomfortable? I like you too idiot." Wanderer said abruptly. His cheeks matching the colour of his lips by the time he finished his sentence.

"By the way... when did you start liking me?" [Name] asked as he rested his legs on wanderer's lap, attention leaving the cheesy drama playing on the TV.

"Way before you started making heart eyes at me."

"Since when did I do that?!"

"Around 4 years before you confessed."

"I didn't even know I was gay back then!"

"Sucks to be you."

Have their relationship caught less than a year after they got together.

"Your fans are fucking crazy." [Name] sighed as he scrolled through twitter, seeing tons of hate posts against him and wanderer, yet most of them were so poorly worded that he was sure it those 'fans' were all 12 year olds.

"I don't even like them don't bother reading that shit." Wanderer snatched the phone from [name] and held it away from him.

"But they're so funny..."

"Wait what are you typing."

"Don't you do anything reckless-"

And wanderer just replied on 15 hate posts (on his damn main) "bitchless behaviour".

Funny enough, a lot of his (non 12 year old) fans were going batshit crazy. Not canceling him, but rather supporting them.

This soon developed into a huge [name] fandom, I mean, there were a lot of artists in wanderer's fandom. Cue jealous wanderer.

Would work together after wanderer ends his 7 year contract with 5wirl and goes solo. [Name] is his muse for all his songs and every album cover, concept design and album design is made by [name] himself. The fans totally eat it up. After all, no one captures wanderer's beauty like his partner

Idol!wanderer

Shows his love through actions. He's not the best with words, but he still wears his heart on his sleeve. He's so clingy when he gets comfortable, yet stone cold in public. Despite that, when it comes to [name] no matter where he is, he's like a warm blanket on a cold day.

Again, he's not the best with words, yet he never uses them to hurt [name]. Others... not so much. He's snarky as hell and so obnoxious when he's talking to someone he doesn't like. Well that's also his charm. No wonder fans love him so much.

Takes time to open up, even after starting the relationship. And when he does. He says everything. His mother, how he was abandoned, the friends who raised him only to die untimely, when he lived with a gang, when his aunt's friend found him, when he was adopted by his aunt. Everything. And he knows [name] won't judge but still, his heart feels a bit unsure. [Name] still reassures him though, that his past doesn't change anything between them. He cries, by the way. And he's so cute when he does.

'I am a stone cold unfeeling strong man.' Is the little spoon. He won't admit it but he enjoys being wrapped in [name]'s embrace. Cutie.

Ballad's new design! Can't wait to design every other forms he has as well. But that'll come later. Regardless, I really like how the design looks now compared to the others.

The sword sheathe is a little crunchy, its part of a redesign idea I had that I scrapped. But the sheathe itself I liked, so I pasted it into his ref page before blocking in the new details. But it's crunchy because I had to resize it and didn't want to redraw the whole thing <- ultimately just laziness on my part.

Green cloth is totally optional, so here's a look underneath in case it's needed.

No colors for this version tho. I didn't really plan for it to be in the ref. Maybe some other day.

Regarding other forms. I may include either some of his mask forms but that'll require some thinking and concept art. I WILL be making a proper fullbody of his Fierce Deity form tho along with Forest (oot) getting a good ref as well. (Forest does have a ref I just don't like it so I never posted it lol.) And ofc once that's all done they'll get their own lineup page. Feel free to probe me for any details till then. It'll be kind of a long process since I'm also working on FD's origin.

The man watched you as you sat in his room in front of the mirror, trying to fix your hair and smooth out the bumps and imperfections before setting the hairbrush down in defeat with a sigh. He had been watching you perfecting your makeup and hair for about an hour before you finally gave up and wiped everything off.

With a tilted head, Vincent couldn't figure out what the big deal was. Your hair was already perfect and your makeup looked just fine. In fact, he didn't think you needed it to begin with. But there you sat, eyes scanning over your face with a pitiful look in your eyes.

You noticed your boyfriend standing behind you with a tilted head and watchful eyes and turned around with a small smile.

"Hello, my love." You greeted him, holding out your arms and motioning for him to walk forward. He obliged and made his way over to you before stopping just between your knees, your head coming forward to rest against his stomach as he stood here, your arms wrapped around his waist. He let his hand fall softly on top of your head petting the top of your hair and running his fingers through the silky strands. He knew you were struggling with how you looked. Out of all people, he understood how insecurities could take such a great hold of people and he didn't know how to help.

He wanted to find a way to make you see how he saw you through his own eyes. The perfect sculpture. The most beautiful model for his greatest works of wax art. The most stunning woman he has ever known. But, anytime he would try and make you understand using words, you would shake your head with a smile and tell him no. You thought you were no better than any other woman who could walk through this town at any given moment.

Vincent came to a realization, taking a step back before sliding your hands off of his waist till they slid into his own, calloused and burned hands from years of working with hot wax. He nodded his head behind him, signaling for you to get up and follow him. With furrowed brows, you stood up and held his hand as he led you in the direction of his work room.

"Vincent, what are we doing here?" You asked him, trying to pull him back gently to make him stop but he just let go of your hand and walked over to the far wall of the room where something hid underneath a beige sheet. The man looked back at you, waiting for you to have your full attention on what he was doing. You gave him a nod and he took a deep breath before pulling the sheet off of his most recent work.

You stared in awe, the wax sculpture looking oh-so familiar. You walked up to the wax sculpture that was cut and molded to resemble a Greek statue.. but it was you. From the hair to the nose to every freckle that covered your skin, your boyfriend had described you through the most beautiful work of art you'd ever seen in your life.... and it was you...

What he never seemed to fit into words was that, if he could live for eternity, he would spend every waking second making art of you. Wax figures, drawings, paintings. Everything... But you were his perfect work of art.

You can, as long as its not fully outright mischaracterizing the characters

Example: you can headcanon what Khriz's gender identity is, he doesn't have a canon gender but he prefers having a masculine identity, so you can make him..non-binary, demi-boy, whatever.. if you wanna make him more fem or "womanly" its a bit controversial for me, it feels like you're not really accepting what he identifies (being more masculine) soooo..

Khriz's race? I mean..he is a clone of Chris so he's technically white, though he doesn't have a race because hes a robot obviously so can change races when he morphs, if you make his human form black, asian, etc then...i guess im not stopping you really

4. Can i make redesigns of the characters for fanart?

I mean...sure i guess, for Khriz in his "human" form he does not have a "canon" appearance because he is a robot clone and his human look is what he imagines he'd look like, you can make him more conventionally attractive or something because he doesn't have..like i said, a canon human design..though, it'll be odd seeing him "attractive" than just scary or unnerving..

5. Can i ship the characters?

..depends, for Chris x Khriz that is a no, Khriz sees him as a brother figure but also a friend, Khriz x Zach? Im killing you, Chris x Zach get out of my office, any ship between Zach that isn't Gourmand you're out, other ships im chill or atleast okay with like...koki x aviva, uhhhh jimmy x his controller, etc...crackships??? IM OUT THE DOOR! Love seeing crackships

Im not a big fan of selfcest, never really had a positive feeling about it, its not...well technically its not a proship but..just not a big fan, so i dont wanna see Chris x Khriz in my feed

6. Are you okay with Oc x Canon?

Literally go ahead, like i care honestly, Chris is aroace in this AU so...idk, Khriz however i mean..he doesn't have a confirmed sexuality but he's a bit like demiromantic in a way so take what you can, except for Zach cuz...yk he's dead n stuff LMAO

Hello everyone! Hope you are doing well cuties! I've missed you all so much! ^^ *hugs* So I'm doing this post to announce that I will start taking commissions again. I have been working as an illustrator, it has been really fun, my boss she's cool and has nice ideas but the issue is... she doesn't pay me on time... and sometimes I wait till 2 or 3 weeks till she pays me..
