shhh don't cry
cassmako Cinderella story, okay?
Euanthe is on the verge of death, Sokrates has betrayed the Apostolisian empire, and after Cassander, there's no heir to the throne. This simply will not do. The Apokine declares that it is time for their child to find a suitable spouse, and that there will be a royal ball open to all eligible citizens of the Golden Branch sector who can afford a transport to Apostolos and an outfit suitable for a royal event.
Mako is nobody. He's iteration 37 of an experiment gone mostly wrong. He's good at fogging, though, so the September institute has decided that he's their best shot at getting access to the inner secrets of the Apostolisian court. And, if it goes wrong? Well, there's more Makos where he came from.
Mako knows how to do this. Well. He did until about thirty seconds ago, when he crashed his Ring of Saturn directly into a finely-dressed Apostolisian and sent their bundle of dried squid-ink pasta and fresh vegetables tumbling to the streets.
"Seriously?" they snap at him. "Can you watch where you're going?"
Mako grins sheepishly and starts scrambling to help pick up the scattered ingredients.
"Sorry, got caught up with getting to my final destination as fast as possible, and I'm also a little lost. Guess I forgot to make sure the path was clear!" He hands over a bundle of formerly fresh basil, which is now decidedly squashed. "Uh, I don't suppose you happen to know where the Embassy is?"
The Apostolisian sighs. "Follow the market path past the next three crossings, and turn left at the fourth one. Keep going until you see the huge ostentatious building on the right, it's impossible to miss."
Mako finishes collecting a handful of what appear to be bright blue tomatoes and gives them back to the stranger. "Listen, I really appreciate it. And...yeah, sorry again, I got a bit carried away." He gives the Apostolisian a once-over, taking note of the well-pressed midnight blue tunic and slacks, the golden-brown skin, and the light dusting of teal scales scattered across their cheeks and over the backs of their hands. Their shoes look expensive, too. Upper class, then, or at least wealthy. Probably gonna be at the ball. "Hey, maybe I'll catch you at the big party this weekend, yeah? I'll save you a dance to make up for it!"
He reaches out a hand to shake the Apostolisian's, and then remembers that shaking hands with someone you haven't been introduced to is considered rude in Apostolisian society. He awkwardly pretends like he's fixing his hair and blushes a little bit, finally feeling the weight of his rapid-fire social failures. Great.
He's too focused on remembering the way he's supposed to be acting to notice the way the Apostolisian blanches at the mention of the party. Embarrassed and ready to make a speedy exit, he fires off one last, "Sorry!" before hopping back on the Ring and surfing away down the street.
Cassander now stands alone in the crowded market square with a bag of very rumpled groceries and a whole lot of questions about what just happened to them. But somewhere behind their initial surge of frustration, they find themself intrigued by this skinny, messy, clumsy guy who believes that he'll be attending the party. How did he get to Apostolos? He's clearly not a local. Dressed in a baggy pink hoodie and the shortest jean shorts they've ever seen, he also didn't seem to be a foreign dignitary. And yet he had asked for directions to the Embassy. What in the name of the Apokine was going on?

Hey this is my request
Where yn and Antonio buy a house and when the sell goes trough they give a house warming party and they get from Jay and Hailey matching bathrobes and from Hank and Trudy some pictures of yn and Antonio
The rest you decide with allot of fluff Thank you
Tumblr media
Summary: You and Antonio have finally found your dream house. So you celebrate by having a party.
Warnings: suggestive, fluffy 🤣
Word count: 1807
Fandom: Chicago P.D
Pairing: Antonio Dawson x Reader
“What do you think, baby?” your husband asked as he walked up behind you, his arms snaking around your waist. He pressed his lips to the soft spot behind your ear, placing a gentle kiss. “Is it perfect enough for you?”
You couldn’t help but smile, sinking further into his embrace. “This is it. This is the one.”
“We’ll take it,” Antonio said, turning to the realtor.
You felt like you were going to explode with happiness—and maybe, just maybe, a little relief. The past few months had been stressful, searching for the perfect home for your family. Antonio had been more stressed than you, as he was determined to shield you from as much strain as possible. After all, stress is bad for the baby.
But this house… it was everything you had hoped for. And the most perfect part? The man by your side, the man you were lucky enough to call your husband. It was literally a dream come true.
“Mommy! Daddy! Look at this room!” Your three-year-old daughter came running toward you, tugging at Antonio’s pant leg. “Can this be my princess castle?” she asked, her eyes wide with excitement.
You bent down to scoop her up, her giggles echoing around the empty room as she wrapped her arms around your neck. “What do you think, sweetie? Is it the perfect castle for you?”
She nodded enthusiastically, clapping her little hands. “Yes! I love it!”
The next couple of months felt like agony—waiting to finally move in, then worrying about the logistics of the move itself. But you needn’t have stressed. The boys offered to help, though really, they were there to help Antonio. His overprotectiveness wouldn’t even let you carry a plant pot.
As a thank you, you headed to the best coffee shop in Chicago, bringing back coffee and donuts for everyone. Hailey and Kim dropped by frequently to keep you company while the guys worked tirelessly on the house. Antonio insisted on starting with your daughter’s room, wanting everything to be perfect for his little princess.
Jay and the girls took on the task of setting up the nursery for your unborn baby. You and Antonio decided to wait until the birth to learn the gender, but you didn’t want to wait to have the room ready. Kim had come up with the idea to surprise you by decorating it, and you weren’t allowed to peek.
You trusted them completely. Jay was the first person you met from the district, and he quickly became like a brother to you. Hailey came next, though there was a bit of a misunderstanding at first. Once Jay clarified that you were Tony’s girlfriend, you and Hailey became fast friends. Then there was Kim—sweet, soft-spoken Kim, who you learned had a fierce side after an encounter during a girl’s night out. Beneath her soft exterior was a woman who wouldn’t hesitate to stand up for herself.
Now, you couldn’t imagine life without any of them. They had become part of your family.
The housewarming party was your way of showing them how much they meant to you. Despite Antonio’s protests that a simple BBQ would be enough, you went all out, preparing different meals and drinks for each person—steak and whiskey for Voight, Chicago-style pizza and cold beer for Jay.
You even got a bounce house for your daughter and her friends, though you should have known that Adam would be the first to jump in.
Hank Voight, the first to greet you, wrapped you in a quick hug. “You didn’t have to go through all this. You should be taking it easy.”
“But you guys worked so hard, you deserved it,” you replied, smiling.
“We certainly don’t deserve you,” he said warmly.
“You don’t give yourself enough credit,” you were about to add more when the sound of shrieks came from the backyard.
“He’s never going to grow up,” Hank chuckled, nodding towards Adam, who was still bouncing in the inflatable castle.
“Don’t tell me you don’t want to go in there,” you teased, nudging him.
“I’m a little too old for that,” he laughed, raising his glass.
“So is he,” you grinned, nodding toward Adam, “Doesn’t stop him.”
As night fell and the air grew cooler, you brought the party inside. That’s when everyone began handing you gifts, much to your surprise.
Hank and Trudy gifted you beautiful picture frames, each holding a wedding photo. “Thanks, guys. You didn’t have to, but I know exactly where to put them,” you said, envisioning them above your new fireplace.
Hailey and Jay’s gift was a set of matching robes that said “Mr. and Mrs. Dawson.” Of course, Adam couldn’t resist giving you both some novelty items—two mugs, one reading “I like his…” with a bird picture, and the other, “I like her…” with a cat. Your daughter giggled, “But we don’t have a cat, silly Uncle Adam!”
Then there was the Christmas pajama set—one reading “Tickle my pickle” and the other “Pickle Tickler”—with red and black plaid pants to match.
Alvin’s contribution was a sign that read “Time Out Spot.”
“My princess is very well behaved,” Antonio protested jokingly.
“I never said it was for her,” Alvin replied, deadpan, before breaking into laughter with the rest of you.
“Don’t give her any ideas,” Antonio whispered to him, but you overheard.
“It’s not a bad idea, Al. Thank you,” you teased, smirking at your husband.
“I’m very well-behaved,” he grinned, giving you a playful wink.
The night continued for a couple of hours before everyone decided to head home. They did still have work in the morning after all.
You stood from the couch and started to collect all the dishes and glasses but a hand stopped, “I got this, baby,” he said, taking the dishes from your hand.
“But…”
“No buts,” he interrupted, “You’ve done enough today, I’ll clean up and I’ll meet you upstairs,”
You sighed, the look on his face, despite behind hidden amongst the tiredness, told you that he wasn’t going to budge, “Okay,” you folded, you looked down at your daughter, who had fallen asleep on the couch. You walked over to her, leaning down to pick her up gently in your arms.
You walked back over to Antonio, placing a kiss on his cheek, “We love you,” you told him.
“I love you two more,” he said, leaning down to place a kiss on your daughter’s head. He stood back up straight and pressed a kiss to your lips, “Go get comfy, baby, I won’t be long,”
“I hope not, Daddy,”
“And I need the naughty spot?”
“Fine,” you sighed, “But I still want cuddles,”
“You got it,” he said, giving you another peck on your lips. You said goodbye and headed upstairs.
You walked over to the room that was across the hall from yours. You opened the door and you’re greeted by the light pink and purple walls, with a brick like patten painted on it to give her a castle feel. Her bed has a pink canopy hovering above, with light purple transparent fabric cascading down like a waterfall.
You move further into the room and towards the bed. It only takes three steps before your standing beside it. You use one hand to move the covers to the side and gently lower her down onto the mattress. You grab the corner of the duvet and bring it back over to cover her. You tuck the duvet in around her, smiling when you notice the multiple different stuffed toys on her bed. Each from one of the team. You see she got her housewarming gifts last week.
You brush a stray strand away from her face and lean down to kiss her forehead, “Love you Princess,” you whisper.
You stood beside your daughter’s bed, smiling as you admired her peaceful appearance. Gently, you tucked her favorite stuffed bunny closer to her side, making sure everything was just right before you headed to the door.
But before you could move, you felt the familiar warmth of Antonio’s arms wrapping around your waist from behind. He pressed a gentle kiss to the top of your head, his chin resting on your shoulder as he gazed down at your sleeping daughter, “She’s out like a light,”
You nodded, leaning back into his chest, “She loves her castle,”
"Only the best for my girls," Antonio said, as he pressed a kiss to your clothed shoulder.
You smiled, placing your hands over his as they rested on your belly. "We’re lucky to have you," you whispered back.
“I’m the lucky one,”
For a moment, the two of you stood in silence, simply watching your little girl sleep, bathed in the soft glow of her nightlight.
He smiled, cupping your cheek as he leaned down to kiss you softly. "Come on, let’s get you to bed," he said gently. "You wanted cuddles, right?"
You nodded with a contented sigh, letting him lead you out of the room. With one last glance at your sleeping princess, you quietly closed the door behind you.
Antonio continued to lead you towards your room, his arm still wrapped around your waist. As you entered your own bedroom.
“Let’s get you settled,” he said, guiding you toward the bed. You sat down on the edge as Antonio knelt in front of you, helping you slip off your shoes. His touch was gentle, the way he always was with you, especially now with the baby on the way.
“You spoil me,” you teased softly, running your fingers through his hair.
“You deserve it,” he replied softly, pressing a kiss to your ankle. He stood and pulled back the covers for you. “Besides, I need you well-rested.”
You gave him a curious but suggestive look. “For what?”
He rolled his eyes and smiled, “For all the cuddles you asked for.”
You couldn’t help but laugh quietly and somehow, you find yourself falling for him even more, if that was even possible. Antonio always had a way of turning even the simplest moments into something special. Sliding into bed, you watched as he joined you, wrapping his strong arms around you as soon as he settled beside you.
You nestled your head against his chest, feeling his steady heartbeat beneath your cheek. His arms surrounded you and the whole world just disappeared.
“I’m so happy,” you whispered.
Antonio tightened his hold on you, pressing a soft kiss to the top of your head. “Me too, baby,” he whispered back.
You smiled, resting your hand on your growing belly. Antonio’s hand joined yours, his thumb brushing over your skin in a soothing rhythm and you found yourself being lulled to sleep. The last thing you remember, is feeling a soft kiss in your hair.

For @i-turn-to-stare, who asked for a second part to this morning's POL prompt:
He barely heard her; his brain already running through the litany of logistics they’d have to process if he were to join her in Haiti. He would go. Of course he would go. Even after they were married she’d never pinned him down and asked him to stop or leave a job. Nor he to her. They just sat down together and figured out who would be where when and how they might finagle schedules so as to spend as much time as possible together. He’d followed her to Africa when she’d worked the We clinic, and she’d followed him to India; with long weeks or months apart in between. They made sacrifices, but strictly voluntarily. She’d never asked him for anything like this before.
And then his brain catches up with his ears. It is a record scratch moment, if he’s ever had one. All thought stops. Every part of him freezes, except for the sting he feels in his eyes.
“What did you say?” he whispers.
“I’m pregnant.”
Under him, he can feel her start to tremble.
“You’re shaking,” he says tenderly.
He can feel her tremulous breathy laugh. “I was nervous to tell you,” she says. “I don’t know why.”
He sits up and grabs her face with both hands. Overhead, the rain arrives in earnest, thunder rumbling the ground under them. The tent is a percussion of sound, but his focus stays completely on her.
“Scully, this is a good thing,” he says. “Right?”
The possibility had been there. They’d discussed it. It’s not like they were playing offense, but they’d stopped playing defense. They had a long talk years ago now after the miscarriage Scully endured after their rescue, where they both admitted that the idea of children–concrete after that incident in a way that it had never been before–was something they’d both eventually like to have.
But truthfully, pregnancy had seemed like an unlikely outcome. They were away from each other often, frequently overworked and tired to the point where intimacy wasn’t always a given. They’d both thought: someday. Someday when we’re more settled. Someday when we’re not working so hard.
Suddenly it was someday.
“Yes?” she answers. There’s a question in her voice that he will not have.
“Baby,” he says, using a rare term of endearment, still holding her face in his hands. “I’m over the fucking moon.”
He leans down to press his lips to hers and finds that he is over the moon. It had clicked when he was standing in a basement room in Paris, looking at hundreds of photographs that he’d taken of her–just her–and how the feeling of excitement he’d always been chasing on assignment no longer held any appeal. He’d had enough excitement for one lifetime. He'd pivoted and kept working, but he would be happy taking school pictures if it meant coming home to her every day. A quiet life, sitting across from her in a rumpled bed. He’d follow her to Haiti. And then he’d make her a home.
She laughes, a relieved, involuntary sound.  He presses his lips to hers again joyfully, laughing into the kiss.
“Haiti and then home?” he says, barely pulling his face away from hers.
She nods, her head still held in the cups of his hands. “Haiti and then home.”

hi! regarding your last post about abandoning projects, do you have any advice for overcoming that?
I do!
1. Write something you're passionate about.
Now, I get that everyone constantly says that, and you'll think, "that tells me absolutely nothing" bc passion can only get you so far and usually fluctuates a lot. It's something I've started to realize happens to me. One day I wake up and have a new idea I love and think "wow this is gonna be a piece of cake to finish" despite me knowing it's going to entail a lot of planning and once I get the inital idea out of the way and get to that planning stage my attention for the project... dies.
What I mean with that is to write something you're passionate about is that you shouldn't write something into the project you feel like others will like. Or if it's a project with tropes in it, that you have to follow those to the T.
If an idea is boring, don't write it.
If you have a cool idea that might not fit the vibe entirely, write it down. Keep it in mind for later when it could fit the vibe better.
Incorporate as many things you love as you like and then worry about how the broader plot can shape around them.
2. Don't write in order of what's supposed to happen.
I know it'll make you feel better to feel like you have a clear point A to B but truth is, some parts are going to be extremely boring to write. You won't want to write all about the logistics of a scene happening right that moment or the spicy dialogue that carries the scene bc you're way more focused on another detail that drew you to write a particular scene.
In those cases, I usually just put whatever is supposed to happen in brackets [insert car chase here] and move on the bits I'm excited to get to. You might wake up a couple of days later thinking you want to revisit that car chase scene and write it all in one go now that you've stopped obsessing over a different scene you cared for before.
3. Make the experience more fun for yourself.
If you feel like you're burning out and losing steam from writing and planning the project, take a step back and do something else.
If I still feel like doing something with the project that isn't necessarily write it, I tend to end up making edits or a playlist or looking for inspiration pictures that might give me an idea of a new setting or what a character will look like. And that's what usually keeps my brain working and thinking about the plot.
As soon as another idea pops into my head bc of the space I took not writing the projects itself, I write it down and get reinspired to work on it.
4. Look for inspiration.
As mentioned in 3., I can't recommend enough to look for inspiration in pictures or boards on pinterest or a song or a quote you really love. Trust me, seeing a cool picture or reading a quote that immediately makes you think of a specific character makes you itch to get back to writing.
It also allows your writing to grow when you take the time to look for inspiration. Writing everything in one go might make you feel productive but the quality could potentially decline the longer you're at it and when you come back to it you'll ask yourself what the hell you were on writing some of the stuff. So taking that time, finding new locations/side characters/some dialogue snippets you could incorporate, will make you feel excited to actually see those ideas and inspirations become part of your project.
5. Take breaks.
This is another one of those things you always hear and think, "that's what leads me to abandon it in the first place??" and while I agree (been there) It's also important not to get burned out by the project.
The breaks shouldn't span entire weeks, of course, but don't beat yourself up when you can't get to the project for a couple of days bc of life happening or something else being more interesting.
Taking those breaks ensures you not only build anticipation, but it also let's the project breathe and allows you the space, to again, think of the broader plot or a specific scene that could be cool to incorporate.
6. Find someone to talk about the project with.
In our day and age, we're lucky to have such big writer communities. Chances are, someone out there will get aboslute brain rot from the project you're working on. Talking to people like that will not only allow you to have someone to bounce ideas off of, but it'll also keep you focused and in a way, hold you accountable to actually see it get to a point you can and want to share more.
Starting up a WIP blog, like the one I and many others have, or a writerblr blog will attract people to the idea and have them reach out to ask questions that again keep you thinking about fun parts of the project and develope the idea.
I have a friend I constantly talk to about every idea he and I get. Not all of them ever see the light of day, but we talk about them, send ideas we think could be cool, and write small snippets of scenes bc we are excited about the project. That not only gets you to a starting point, but also makes the planning way smoother and means you're getting instant feedback.
And that's what usually gets you to write more instead of watching your project collect dust in the drafts.
7. Write every single idea down.
This is also something everyone says, but it's true. Chances are, you forget the idea and kick yourself for it later or you think it won't be as good as you imagine it and then you have a missing scene you don't know what to do with where that idea could have fit.
Sometimes, usually just before bed for me, I get ideas, and since I have my phone close by, I just open the notes app, write down the snippet of a conversation I just thought of or a cool detail I'll add when I get back to the file and BOOM I have the next plot point figured out without actively forcing myself to sit in front of the computer and thinking "what is supposed to happen now??"
Even if the idea is silly or seems wack, I can't recommend writing it down enough. You'll thank yourself for it and in a way train yourself into passively thinking about what could happen next.
I have a dedicated page in my files just for random ideas I got in the middle of the night and while some will not make it into the draft itself, it's still fun to think about them or even write a short scene involving the idea just to see where it goes. Maybe it'll inspire you to take your project into a new exciting direction, too!
8. Don't obsess over word counts/progress made.
It's a recent shift I've noticed, where people obsessively focus on how long a scene/chapter is. Like one being 5k long means it's somehow better than a scene that's only a couple hundred words long, but concise and has the kind of structure that keeps you engaged.
If you feel like a scene is done and you're happy with it, even if it's short, leave it. Maybe you'll come back to it and add more, but maybe you'll realize it's perfect the way it is and doesn't need unnecessary details added.
9. Don't get lost in the details.
This is something I've neen prone to do. Obsessing over a single detail or scene to the point that working on it becomes exhausting because I couldn't move on.
It's what kills your drive to write on the project fairly quickly and relates to the point I made to just put whatever is supposed to happen in brackets to revisit later.
The details are usually what make the story feel personalized, but it's also so easy to get lost in them. Writing the broader scene down and revisiting it sometime later to add those details is going to keep you writing and engaged with what you want to make the project into.
10. It's YOUR project, don't forget that.
Sometimes I've started things I thought were fics or stories I'd love to explore only to realize I'm not the best writer for those or that the writing part just isn't as fun as I hoped it could be.
You need to be aware of when to cut your losses. If the project starts to feel more like a drag than what you initially started with, scrap it OR, and this is something I've started to seriously do, is to rewrite/re-plot it from the beginning.
It is time-consuming, but you'll feel better for it in the long run if you take the bits you like and forget the ones you don't and build the project anew. It's tedious but really rewarding once you manage to get to the parts that were there before discouraging you from finishing the project in the first place. And the most important thing is that you're happy with your project.
Of course, what works for me might not work for others, but those are some of the broader things I can recommend you try :) I hope I was able to help a little!

Right, I'm back. I didn't post anything yesterday because I thought it's best not to rush. But it was indeed fascinating to see reactions in real time to the photo. Yes, I'm talking about the photo posted on IG of JM, JK and another person.
I think I must have read opinions that varied on a entire spectrum and expressed quite vehemently. It's safe to say everyone has really strong opinions and you either condemn it or you're totally fine with it, as long as you pick a side and don't question anything. In sitautions such as these, the tendency to add just a touch of conspiracy is right there. And it gets a pass when there's a lack of information, a language barrier, etc.
I too have my own questions and observations, to which I don't necesarily need an answer, but I'll just write them down.
1. I couldn't help but think of how deep the level of social media stalking is in this fandom. I looked up the account immediately as I saw a screenshot because initially there was confusion about the source. That guy made no previous photo uploads of either JM or JK. At a first glance, there is nothing to connect him to them. And still he had fan accounts following him, before it all blew up and he gained a lot more. My question is, how did that happen? Are there people who look up Jimin's followers list and they try to figure out if there's someone from an inner circle? In all those 50 million people? Do they check some select few accounts daily to see if there's a possibility of a post? The logistics of this are giving me a headache. Or maybe there's some obvious, easier answer and I don't know it.
2. Considering that the account is public, it's not like the photo is leaked. I don't know exactly the nature of the relationship that man has/had with JM & JK and I do not wish to make any speculation with regards to his intentions.
3. I think the outrage was mostly caused by jikookers bringing back to the surface that old photo under the heart arch. Which indeed paints a certain picture, but it's also not the most incriminatory thing out there. I don't think there's any real actual danger, considering that it was supposedly taken from Jungkook's dad Kakao talk. If that's true then it means the dad was ok with showing it.
3. What I personally believe should not have happened was to circulate that photo so easily on social media. People knew about it for a long time, even before someone posted it on I-Jikook twitter. But in cases like these, the photos will always be revealed. They will leave the group chats and out into the wild usually for a petty reason. Because at the end of the day, that's the issue. It has nothing to do with giving a shit about the people in the photo, it's about winning a shipping argument, about screaming "we won". Win what exactly???? It shows who is in it for the fantasy. No single argument could work for them. Replying on and on about deleting doesn't matter.
4. Maybe my last point, but this situation has revealed some things which were already known, but maybe not really articulated specifically all the time. As people not only part of the fandom, but also using social media 24/7, our ideas about privacy and what we should have access to when it comes to public figures has certainly been influenced by the current landscape. In the case of JM & JK particularly, they have been sharing pieces of themselves for more than a decade. It was the BH strategy, the BTS brand. It worked wonders because look at the huge fandom it gathered and the relationship that was built between idol and fan. Hell, Jungkook is doubling down heavy on it with his livestreams. How can anyone really expect a mass of people to really stop and think about privacy? We ourselves as regular people curate our social media image and we voice our opinions and share the places we go to, who are our friends, what parties we attended, when we get into a relationship. Every mundane or special occassion is posted for public consumption. I'm not saying this as some excuse that would justify sharing what looks like a private photo. What I'm saying is that it's to be expected in a way. As harsh as it is, but we live in this reality where the line between the public and private sphere is getting more invisible day by day.
What I think it's scary is that if there's a situation in which an actual compromising photo would somehow be leaked and which can be in the detriment of the people in it for various reasons, so called fans would still share it as proof. Because it doesn't matter for them. It's the high of finding it, of screaming about it on social media, without thinking for more than a second about possible implications. Everything needs to be done fast, regardless of consequences because people need to feed themselves with gossip and leaks.
I'm really just rambling here and not making too much sense. Anyway, I think we should always take a step back and really assess the situation and not scream about it, regardless of our position. Not everything is a threat, or privacy violation or putting people in danger, but it doesn't mean that it needs to be treated lightly as if it's no big deal (which usually comes from people who care more about their own safisfaction and feeling like a "winner").

Since i know you LOVE the man...
What creepypastas (or internet horror) interests Medic? Give us all the details about how he interacts with that media hehe
Medic and Creepypastas!
————————————————————
What a way to break up the absolute trauma this man has been going through on my blog.
————————————————————
Spoilers for these Creepypastas, probably. The Russain Sleep Experiment, Eyeless Jack, Candle Cove, and SmileDog.exe
ALSO TWS: MENTIONS OF BLOOD, GORE, VIOLENCE, AND DEATH
————————————————————
As for interacting with creepypastas, he's so medical with it. He's analyzing it from every angle. He can't actually understand the horror because most of the things that would scare us is just fascinating to Medic. Also, I think he once tried to enter the fandom and was horrified lmao.
————————————————————
His first introduction to creepypasta was the Russian Sleep Experiment. (Is this anyone else's gateway drug? It was mine, lmao) He was probably looking up youtube videos of the most disturbing experiments for fun, or to see if he could attempt any of them, and then he saw that one fucking picture. Instant click. Even though he realized instantly that it was a work of fiction, he continued to watch the video, finding himself insanely interested in the story. Debating the logistics in his head and noting down the most interesting parts. Figures he could make a type of gas with chemicals designed to keep people awake, even make it better so no one goes batshit insane. Ultimately, he decided against it, as he couldn't risk the team ripping open their body's or their skin falling off in sheets. It'd be more effort than it's worth. Imagine the mess he'd have to clean up! He's only one man after all.
————————————————————
Eyeless Jack confused him. Sure, it's a fictional story, but how could a person, fictional or otherwise, bot wake up during such an invasive procedure. Let alone not bleed out due to a general lack of surgery skills. Does understand the want to eat human organs. He's just a little curious, you know? So he can't blame a guy for eating peoples kidneys. Even though he figures that's not the best organ to eat due to its functions, buts that's neither here nor there. May or may not have asked the mercs to volunteer for a little test of sorts while they were sleeping. No one accepted his offer. But a few might be convinced by some sly offers of being pocketed for the next few fights, judging my the screaming coming from one of the mercs room.
————————————————————
Candle Cove is an interesting thought experiment to him. He wonders through the entire story if it was simply a case of a shared memory, people thinking they remember something, or if the characters were just lying. He wanted to test this, figuring that a small bit of psychological trickery was okay. He wanted to see if people would latch onto the idea of Candle Cove being real. Subtly brings it up, not being too shocked when Scout is the first one to question if he ever saw the show, claiming it seemed familiar. Eventually, the others followed. Medic sat in the corner, watching them taking notes as they debated the finer details. Eventually, the other mercs noticed he wasn't adding to the conversation despite being the one to bring it up.
"Oh, ja, I lied it's not real. I just wanted to test a theory. Danke, for proving my theory, goodbye now." And he just leaves. The other mercs have a moment of being baffled and concerned at the fact that they had just made fake memories. Memories they actually believed. They hope Medic doesn't try this again.
————————————————————
SmileDog.exe would honestly be Medic's pet if he was a real. But alas, he can only go off the story. He wonders if the image could really affect people in the way claimed. That image could strike someone so deeply that they find themselves seeing it all the time. He's a little ashamed to admit he stared at the photo for a good hour to see if it would appear in his dreams. He was disappointed to find it didn't. He finds it laughable that people wouldn't just share the picture of Smile Dog to save themselves from death. It seems like a simple solution. Even if it is prank mail, the second he starts seeing it everywhere, he'd forward the message. (He wouldn't, I think he'd actually rather die than ruin his reputation by sending chain emails, lmao)
————————————————————
Sorry if this is more along the lines of "He wouldn't fucking do that!" Concidering Medic isn't doing a whole lot of testing on his teammates, and I know a lot of people think he would have just done them, but I think he values the consent and sometimes the mental and physical wellness of his teammates. Sure he'll put them in some pain for a surgury of two, but he'd never directly ignore them saying no to one of his experiments. At least I think so.
————————————————————
Uh, I hope you like this! I actually haven't thought about creepypastas in a while 😭 I kinda miss that time in my life, but at the same time, it was so bad, lmao. Sorry it's not super long, and might not have been exactly what you were asking for, but I was super excited to write this and I'm super glad it's done!
Working through asks! Uh, the Mercs losing a close friend on the battlefield is next, then some other asks. I'm sorry for the long pauses in between!

Miscellaneous Milgram logistics headcanons:
The bell rings in the morning and evenings at regular times. At night when it rings, it marks curfew: the cells don’t lock, but Es takes one lap around the panopticon to make sure prisoners are in their cells. The only time the bells ring otherwise are during interrogations, and when prisoners are summoned before Es in the courtroom to receive their verdict.
In the second/third trial, guilty prisoners’ doors do lock. Innocent prisoners are not allowed to spend the night with guilty prisoners, but those with alike verdicts can share cells overnight.
Requests come in from Es’ room. Prisoners aren’t allowed in their, or jackalope’s, room without one of them as escort. Es is never around when requests arrive, but they can’t seem to find any doors or hatches that would allow entry (or exit). There are warm/cool breezes to maintain a comfortable temperature throughout the prison, but no one can find any vents or openings.
“Increased physical restraint” punishments occur at random, unexpected intervals and appear like the trailer shots (aka, more restraints/equipment than just the uniforms are put into place.) The guilty prisoners could potentially leave their cells during this time, but usually they don’t want to be seen like that. Can happen at any point, day or night, and last several hours. This is when Kotoko planned her attacks. Enforced by mysterious Milgram magic – no one remembers how the restraints fastened, only that they wake up trapped.
(I’ve been picturing an interrogation room, but only just realized it may be done in their individual cells? But in my head,) it’s a room near that courtroom at the end of the hall. There’s a table, prisoner chair, and guard chair. The machine is integrated into the wall and invisible until paneling starts separating – when that noise plays in the voice dramas. Then, it reveals wires, tubes and pretty stereotypical sci-fi nodes/needles that Es needs to attach to the prisoner. A screen also becomes visible to play the video.
From some of the prisoner reactions, I’ve pictured the chair itself changing very suddenly to lock/strap them in place.  Es walks to the opposite wall to pull a lever with their famous line.
Someone mentioned it already, but I like the idea that the interrogation is placed before (rather than the more logical after) the extraction because the machine works off of priming. Es is instructed to bring up their crimes and past just enough to get the idea in their mind. They have to finish by saying “sing your sins” to really ensure the prisoner is thinking of their murder before it begins. The prisoners then enter a dream-like state in which they experience the raw emotions and thoughts that go into the video, but they don’t see or hear it. Afterwards, they’re aware of the kinds of things Es saw, but it's more abstract to them.

Jiang Gunian Made A Change Part 31
Lan XiChen left the meeting feeling agitated. "Sometimes I really dislike my fellow sect leaders and heirs," he muttered. "No sense of what's truly important."
Meng Yao, walking just behind him, smiled politely. "Perhaps it's just a differing idea of importance."
Lan XiChen sighed and refrained from rolling his eyes. "Yao ZongZhu will discover that his 'differing idea of importance' is going to cause his people to starve." He sighed again, pressing down his anger. "What are they thinking? Why is Jiang FuRen calling Jiang Guniang home? Why? And those..." he refrained, barely, from openly insulting his fellow sect leaders, "men in there agreeing with her?"
"Whatever that little girl can do any man can do faster and more efficiently," Meng Yao paraphrased Yao ZongZhu.
Lan XiChen stopped himself from sighing again. "Apparently our education is lacking. I can run my sect and direct my people in battle. I have no idea how to feed them when we're in Cloud Recesses. How am I supposed to suddenly know how to feed them when we're on the march in the middle of a war?"
"Your education is not lacking...." Meng Yao hedged. "You learn what is necessary to run the sect and hire people to do what you should not. Feeding, cleaning, and all the other necessary jobs are handled by people specially trained to do that. Delegating work is necessary."
Lan XiChen's smile was strained. "I suppose your training involved logistics of feeding an army?"
"An army on the move?" Meng Yao's smile was honest. "No. I'm sure General Jiang has aides who can pick up most of the slack."
"Aides? But not you?"
"I will follow my General to Lotus Pier," Meng Yao sounded smug.
"Along with all of her scouts?" Lan XiChen stopped himself from swearing when his companion nodded. "I suppose it's necessary to prove that General Jiang is not simply a woman tagging along after an army with an honorary title." His sigh was unstoppable. "When you two marry, you'll slowly but surely take over the jianghe, won't you?"
Meng Yao's face lost all semblance of his normal polite facade. "Me? Marry Jiang YanLi? Why would you suggest such a thing?"
"Aren't you to marry?"
"No!" Meng Yao sounded offended. "Jiang YanLi deserves.... Well, she deserves someone better than me. Someone who's as nice as she is. Someone who will support her as much as she will support him. I would only drag her into the muck." He looked sideways at the Lan sect leader. "I think she should marry someone like you."
"Me?" Lan XiChen's voice rose an octave even as his feet stopped moving. "Marry Jiang YanLi? How can I marry her?" The idea was preposterous. Obviously. He wasn't the right man to marry Jiang FengMian's daughter.
"You need an heir. She needs someone who respects her. And who is respected enough to demand others respect her. It's a good match whether you compare sect alliances or personalities. Your marriage will also support your brother's cut sleeve marriage to Wei WuXian. Think about it.
"I will take my leave; I have a few things to finish before General Jiang and I head out to Lotus Pier."
Lan XiChen blinked a few times at Meng Yao's retreating back. "Me marry Jiang YanLi?" Her detractors cited her plain looks and lack of a strong core as her main faults. They ignored her loyalty to her family, her inner strength, and the leadership skills she had gained over the last few months. "She's not that plain, either," he mused as his feet started moving back to his tent. "She's more of a quiet beauty than an overt one. Cores can be strengthened sometimes. Perhaps the Jiang method is not appropriate to her needs." He tried to picture her in Lan blue and felt a warmth in his stomach. "She'd be really pretty in my colors." An image of Jiang YanLi serving him tea in the Hanshi popped into his head followed by an image of her laying next to him in his bed as he read poetry. "Me marry Jiang YanLi?" The idea of their marriage all of a sudden didn't seem preposterous.
Maybe....

Hi I know that this may seem out of place. But at what point in your life did you begin to feel stable/adult. I often times have conflicted my feelings of gender discomfort or writing with these beliefs. Because of this I have abandoned myself to a point where a stranger now lives in my body. Have these thoughts ever bothered you?
Hmm🤔
This is an interesting question. I suppose it's rather gradual. And there's never a feeling really of being "there".
You always feel kinda like you're faking it in a way. People really are telling the truth that nobody knows what they're doing. Everybody's making it up as they go along
And one thing that we all eventually find is that no one can do this alone. I work as an engineer. I work in the field with machines that don't move, meaning I have to go to it instead of it coming to me.
That means that I not only have to be an expert at math and designing and troubleshooting, but also logistics. I need to figure out schedules and times and make phone calls so people know who I am and what I'm doing and if it's going to affect them.
But like that didn't happen suddenly all at once. The reason jobs measure *years* of experience, is that it genuinely takes *years* to get used to the type of things adults have to do just getting around.
My boss doesn't want to have to come pick me up to bring me to work. The regional manager I work for would suffer if every time I ran into a problem I came asking him what to do. I wouldn't have gotten this job if I hadn't been doing the stuff I do here for years already. But I didn't start by doing this much. I started in my career just kind of accepting assignments that needed to be traveled for. They might have come once every 6 months in my early career. But I jumped at them because I wanted to get out of the office and I thought that part of the job was fun.
Eventually employers got used to that idea and they sent me out more. "Oh Mihai will take care of that. She loves driving around. And with her doing that, we can have some of the other engineers do something else"
Eventually that grew into enough that I could add it to my resume and really take it on as part of whatever job I got next. Etc etc etc until the job I have now doesn't HAVE an office; I'm pretty much forced to demand a company vehicle, and I spend practically half my life living in hotels.
Regarding feeling stable, that's more a job of meditating and feeling good about being *you*.
I don't feel like the world is stable. I don't feel like people's opinions of me are stable. The political, corporate, financial, and climate world is unstable. But I know who I am, and how I make decisions. I know I'm always going to be honest about how I feel, if I am proud of my work or if I made mistakes, and I'll always try to communicate. I know I work really best alone, but I love being around people. I know I'm a leader and people tend to do what I do, so I try to do the right thing always. That's what makes me feel stable. I'm stable in myself, no matter how unstable the world is around me. And that consistency of personhood provides an anchor from which other people can latch on and help find themselves too. (Because you're not me, but you can use me to find what similarities and differences there are between us, and thus, paint a clearer picture of your own personal image)
I don't know how much I can help with the "abandoning yourself" part.
Part of what hurt me previously was being involved in a very destructive relationship. Once I left that relationship, it became much easier to construct *me*. Maybe that's not what you have going on, but it may be worthwhile to take a look at your environment and see if there's something making you feel like you can't grow into the person you want to be.
In any case I wish you well. And I hope you find your place. What I can say is that there's no finish line; there's no race; there's not even a path. There's just decisions you make every day. They're all important and none of them are important. But what IS important is that you see that you're not waiting to start your story. You're in the middle of it right now. Please know that you are loved, and very cool, and I especially appreciate you for sending such an interesting ask 🥰
Peace ✌️ ❤️

Little Thieves
First posted: August 1, 2018
Focuses on: Jason Todd, Bruce Wayne, and Cassandra Cain
Tier: In the bottom half, for sure. I'd say bottom fourth, but it's been around long enough that's it's gathered at least some hits and kudos.
This is my "behind the scenes" series where I indulge myself horribly by annotating my fics. Link to the fic itself above. Thoughts below the cut.
Another BatFam Week entry. I don't remember if this one had a specific origin, beyond a general melange of other fics that dabbled in AUs and/or Jason and Cass being twinsies.
The first time Bruce saw the little thief, the brat was three tires into the Batmobile and working on the fourth.
Piqued Bruce is always funny to me. Outwardly he's stoic, inwardly he's an emoji factory.
As always (for me), the logistics were the tricky part—thinking through how Bruce could have met Jason without Cass first, how they could've followed their original path to a point before it needed to deviate sharply but still make sense. I don't like fics that don't make sense.
He turned toward the door and spoke as he stepped out into the hall, “Turn right out of the door, take the first staircase you see, and then turn left through the swinging door. Dining room’s right there, can’t miss it. See you in fifteen, Jason.”
I had to sit and mentally walk through how I "saw" the Manor in my head. Do you know how much I hate doing that? Spaces are my bane. Don't describe spaces to me, I won't picture them.
When Bruce checked on Jason in the night and found the window open and the guest room empty, he was only a little surprised. He was more surprised by the thanks carefully printed on the paper left in the center of the bed atop a neatly folded pile of clothes.
You know what I love, though? Baby Jason. He's a hypervigilant and traumatized kid, but he's got manners! He knew Bruce didn't mean him any harm and didn't have to give him dinner but did anyways.
“That’s not food. That’s packing peanuts and caulk disguised as food.” Sometimes the line between Bruce and Batman was thinner than even Bruce himself realized.
Bruce and Batman... Bruce and Alfred...
And that was when the absent tire iron came whistling through the dark and struck Bruce in the back of the knees.
Cassandra Cain in any universe is a ballsy little firecracker.
What Bruce saw next was a head of short, spiky black hair, its face turned away from him.
Figuring out what Cass might look like in this universe was fun. Keeping feminine hair, even in a chin-length bob, didn't seem practical for multiple reasons. But a boyish hack job, maybe done by Jason? That made sense.
It felt like a track skipping in Bruce’s head. One second he was lurking in a dark bathroom; the next, he was in a fluorescent-lit exam room, looming over Jason’s prone body.
Sometimes my vision physically judders when I'm mad enough. I figured seeing a child—one he knows—beat to a pulp would do that for Bruce, but worse.
Bruce took another step forward, then stopped as his armor tapped against the knife leveled at his abdomen. He looked down. The other child stood between him and Jason, a serrated blade the length of their hand lifted to block his path. Their eyes locked on Bruce’s, dark and determined. The left half of their face was speckled with a fine mist of blood, the color counterbalancing the angry bruise on the opposite cheek bone.
Cassandra Cain. Ballsy. As. Heck. no matter the universe. She absolutely would have gone for Bruce's face if he'd pushed it.
“And that one,” Leslie continued, pointing at the silent one, “dove in to the scrum and pulled him out.”
I love the way I wrote them. It's very Kaz and Inej but with sibling loyalty and without the emotional constipation.
“Can she hear me?” Bruce asked, when Jason didn’t answer. Jason nodded. “She’s not deaf. She just doesn’t talk.”
That, though, that's Angels in the Outfield. Wonderful movie.
“Are you sure this is a wise idea, Master Bruce?” Alfred asked as they watched Leslie’s headlights pull up the long driveway. “No. But I’m sure it’ll be fine, Alfred. What could happen?”
I literally had A Plan. I knew how I wanted to deal with their arrival, with them figuring out Bruce was Batman, Dick, their teen years, "Death in the Family", all of it. Alas.

Does Tangle also have Dark Arms DNA? And how does she fit into the SA2 and Shadow the Hedgehog plots?
hello! this is a really old ask that i kept putting off until i "drew something else with lemursib au/emo tangle" (i never did) - i want you to know i was very excited to get this ask when you sent it!!
i figured better late than never so here's some talk about lemursib au cause i want to have thoughts about it again... (previous posts for context: first doodle and with part-lemur-shadow)
so shadow and tangle were both created on the ARK by roughly the same process, with two different mobian dna samples. however, instead of shadow only being hedgehog + black arms, or tangle only being lemur + black arms, they're both a blend of all three factors. shadow was started first as sort of their proof of concept, and once he turned out stable, they started tangle - she's the younger one between them, younger than Maria for sure, and sort of a little sister to both of them, not being as capable with chaos energy for some reason.
now i've gotta brush up on ARK and shadow lore to figure out logistics here, but the idea i want to use is after both being put into stasis, tangle is released out on earth earlier than shadow by a few years, either due to more lax security on her stasis or a random incident or whatever. these few years are the difference between her and shadow's age, so about 5 years?? before shadow gets released for SA2 and all, so by the time he's back in the picture they're the same age
i haven't figured out all the workings of what plots tangle's involved with, when she meets shadow, and how much she tries to help with restoring shadow's memories since tangle herself doesn't have any memory issues - this au was made mostly because of faint visual similarities between tangle and shadow i thought it would be funny to accentuate (both having fluffy white chest fur and stripe designs on their limbs, and in the recent extreme gear arc of IDW sonic, tangle was given air shoes, so there's another tick to their similarities!)
what i have figured out is she generally can use chaos energy freely like shadow, but she uses it better as bursts or extensions of her body than blasts or weapon shapes; like strengthening her physical attacks and attaching chaos 'knives' to her tail or arms or legs. her tail still has stretchy powers because she's tangle, but not as stretchy as canon tangle. similarly shadow also has stretchy tail powers, but because he has a smaller tail, they're generally not as useful, and he hasn't figured out the tail-tuft-hand thing.
i'll probably revisit lemursib au sometime (mostly to redesign shadow and tangle a little, and show design traits from all three species they both are), but in the meantime, if anyone else wants to brainstorm how to stick tangle in the plotline for SA2/StH/etc, or whatever else with this au, i'd be glad to see it :D

Rights lads I'm here on my bullshit (as usual) because I've come up with an absolutely ludicrous theory- but a really sweet one. So, the story goes:
(added a keep reading cause it's not exactly SHORT)
I was drawing templar as part of one of my drawings for the upcoming historical hetalia week (first event I'm putting actual effort into! Can't wait to post those drawings :D) and my mind got stuck on the thing it always gets stuck on: his hair. Look at this boy's bangs!
Tumblr media
(Getting all the pictures I'm using from hetarchive btw)
They've always stuck out to me, for a reason I couldn't quite put my finger on. I mean, they're ridiculous (and I have, HAVE to wonder at the logistics of that. Like?? Is it a bird's nest?? Huh?? Does he CHOOSE to have a clump of hair on his forehead?? Has he even realised it's there??) and it's such a distinctive feature, too. I can't help but wonder if there's some significance behind them- though at the same time, perhaps Himaruya just thought it looked cool/suited him. Certainly, though, I always thought one thing about their shape, which filled me with a degree of fondness towards them: they look like a bird, minus the head. And it was as I thought about this similarity that an idea struck me.
Tumblr media
Gilbird. Prussia's bird companion, which he had not always noticed to be there. A fan favourite character, certainly whose origins are shrouded in mystery... Could there be some sort of connection between Templar and this beloved bird?
It's ridiculous, I know! That's part of the appeal to me. How would that even work? But at the same time, Templar's a certainly long-gone character, presumably having faded around the time of his order's dissolution (to my knowledge, there's not any canon info beyond the couple strips he appears in with Prussia- then Teuton), and the idea that- in some form or another- he stuck around as a companion to an old friend is really sweet to me, and I'd like to believe it to be true. But for that to be the case, he can't have appeared in any strips where Templar is clearly alive. So, I began to dig.
In the strip where Teuton and Templar talk about singing, there's a very close call, where Gilbird appears... but Templar suddenly vanishes from the comic. Here's one panel:
Tumblr media
Templar can clearly be seen, though Gilbird is nowhere in sight. However in the next panel...
Tumblr media
Gilbird appears, but Templar... disappears. My mind? Boggled. Clearly, just a second prior, Templar was present and Gillbird was not- but now the opposite is true! How can this be??
Can Templar shapeshift?
Going along with the idea that Templar IS Gilbird, it's a possibility. Of course, magic is a known fact in the Hetaliaverse, so this is not so beyond the realm of possibility as it may at first seem, though it certainly is shocking. But this was further confirmed as a possibility to me when I looked back at the last thing Templar says in his panel- an offer to sing together with Teuton. That certainly seems to be what is happening in the second panel.
(Of course, what Teuton says in the second panel could hint that it takes place a bit of time after the prior panel, giving time for Gilbird to show up. And Teuton does seem to be talking to Templar, which must mean he is simply out of panel... But Teuton's eyes are shut. Perhaps he has not noticed his friend disappear and be replaced by a bird, as he rarely seems to notice Gillbird in the first place.)
So, I was certain. There's no definitive evidence, just circumstantial, but it's a possibility, and one that I'd like to believe in.
OR IT WAS
Because upon taking another look at the panels before me, I saw my Anti-Christ D:
Tumblr media
THERE, ATOP TEUTON'S HEAD
Tumblr media
H E
Tumblr media
So yeah, all of this was for nothing!! But I choose to believe it anyway, because it's just the right amount of silly, sweet, and canon divergent! Also, it makes the the fics where Prussia's fading immortality kill Gilbird hurt even more!

Honestly I think Airy wrote down notes if they were just... interesting to him. Or maybe if they sparked some sort of memory?
Because yeah! He DOESN'T use that info for anything! No one else is going to see it but him! Why not write cool stuff about the people in your show! Secret lore!
But MAINLY the thing that freaks me out is how did Airy get that picture of Bryce. Everyone else's could possibly be on social media, a phone, some sort of camera, Liam's is his work computer. But Bryce is passed out drunk on the FLOOR. He doesn't have FRIENDS. Why would his phone be out??? There aren't cameras in apartment buildings either??? HOW DID HE GET THAT PICTURE. Does the computer give you some level of omnipotence in the real world that isn't through technology? That's SO scary!!!
Airy also could have updated it as he went? Maybe after the pool incident he wrote it down? But again like you said he doesn't really... pick up on it well. I GUESS Bryce could have mentioned it somewhere but... Why would he? Unless it was in a conversation with someone (wait. a therapist maybe? telehealth?), which brings me back to Can Airy See Things On Earth That Aren't Cameras/Videos? Did he pick the contestants randomly like season one or did he put thought into them? He made the pages for everyone either way but... Still.
Sorry this is so rambly I've been thinking about this my entire work shift and I still can't be coherent T-T
ITS OK i also think abt it A LOT and i like to talk about one ALL the time!!!!!!!!
tbh YEAH itd track so much for airy to just. write down little notes for very little purpose other than fun. just taking notes of all these fascinating things about his contestants. like 'wow theyre all so interesting huh!!' it is VERY in character for him to just write things down for the sake of it
GOD YEAH... it is SOO. its one of the most unsettling things abt the database, and raises SO many questions. i think maybe?? it COULD be an omnipotence thing but maybe someone was there? maybe bradley brought him home and his phone out for literally anything ??? and airy was like oh well theres my image! but even then its. you have NO other image of this guy, why did you PICK him. how did u even FIND him if the apparent only image you can get of him is smth that def was not easily available. its JARRING and UNSETTLING
i think if airy were to connect the dots that ep 6 gave any of them thalassophobia, hed put it for all of them, but telehealth IS a good bet??? assuming the computer can only access things like cameras and stuff. this WOULD also mean bryce got a therapist after getting home which WOULD track w him trying to get his life in order, and also the idea of this makes me SO happy. but also sad. bc he was trying to RECOVER good for him!!!! but also . then this wouldve been a bit halted. tho also this would be one more person concerned for his wellbeing after he disappears AGAIN which IS good i think. but sorry bryces therapist thats prob a bit concerning for ur client to drop off the face of the earth (literally)
i DO all the time think abt how much he planned. bc i do think it was prob a bit less random?? maybe?? what with none of the people being picked being from france this time. but he also DID bring a baby. but also?? he does clearly put at least a little thought into it, since s3 was a bit planned out!!! he seems to plan things out more and more thru the series so this could be New, but i think it indicates some level of consideration abt who he picks!!! (that and... he picked bryces coworker and NOT his friend? so he may just not be the greatest at sticking to contestants that make sense Logistically, making that a running theme in all of his seasons)

We deposed the fascist tyrant a dozen years back in a bloody revolution. The now democratic country had a lot of problems. Oh so many new factions sprung up, and all of them implemented an idiot in my new parliament. I stepped down after installing the democratic institutions and decided to do the boring paperwork that actually ran the country.
They also sent spies in there. They all knew I am too big and too powerful, thanks to some... powers. But that is not of any import. I want my home country to be a good place to live in.
There are a lot of spies in this administration. They want to know if I do implement the idea or if I shift votes or cheat. I never cheated for anyone. The worst I did was digging up the dirt of horrible people and conviniently release it before their campaign got powerful, crashing them.
But... There was one man I could not even think of stopping. Marax Rekliff. He was an academical from the neighbouring country, logistics, mathematics, sociology, a bit of psychology. Had a brief stunt as an anarchist during university, but eventually, he stopped politics and became, as they say, a boring man.
Bur I do know he works for the Union, a neighbouring country. The Gray Eminence (me) is to be spied on, and to be subject to every trickery known to mankind. To see if she really is what she says she is. To see if she does what she said she will.
I got to say, I am happy for Marax. He was about 20 when he got the job. Was a kid when the fascists were deposed, if I recall well.
Now, he is 40. Still a sharp mind. When I struggled to make sure the trains can deliver food where they must, and toiled away for a week on the plans, he shown up with multiple ideas. Nobody else did.
When the last election felt like a powderkeg, I collected all options, but I failed to see any way to do it without blood. My Marax... He offered to fabricate some dirt on one of the horrid people. Turns out, he did not fabricated a thing, he just tricked him.
It's a shame he works for the Union. They can't accept my home country switching leaders every five years or less, but with Marax at the administration chair, they are at peace. My country had one or two murders and fifty robberies last year, thanks to his logistical plans. I struggled to get it lower, and he just had this amazing budget plan that made sure our land is a land of peace and tourism.
He even rooted out some spies in the administration who did a bad job or wanted us to have more survelliance or less freedoms.
And Marax only have to send a coded report every three months. I know exactly how, but, man... This man is born to be an administrator.
I wish I could promote him in my job, but then he has nobody to spy on!
Sometimes I drop him a little extra as a bonus. A forgotten plan of a superweapon I saw on TV. A microfilm that, between my vacation pictures and cat images, has me talking to a shady looking guy (actually a coathanger and some shadows). A huge plan of highway expansions with railway lines and scribbled on secret messages that can mean a lot. I even left him a note in some cookies I delivered once, i think I wrote "you will be notified of great events. Follow the Gray Eminence. Don't allow her to build the dam. Take care." Or something. I forgot.
Marax Rekliff is the spine of this entire administration. Without him, the parliament would collapse in three weeks.
....Darn, I think I have fallen in love with him a few times. But I can't let such distract me. I got my work to do.
Your chief administrator is a spy and a traitor. You have known this for years. You’d also hate to get rid of him. To rise in the ranks and work his way closer to you, he has proven to be the most effective administrator you’ve ever had. A vast improvement on the loyal idiot he replaced.

Should I Replace or Reface Kitchen Cabinet Renovations?
Tumblr media
Do your kitchen cupboards have a worn, old look? Do you want to renovate but can't decide between replacing and refacing? Don’t worry, though! This post will compare and contrast the two alternatives so that you can make a well-informed choice. We can help you achieve either a complete makeover or a more subtle refresh. Put on your thinking cap, brew yourself a cup of coffee, and prepare to enter the exciting world of Kitchen cabinet renovations or makeovers with me!
Replacing Kitchen Cabinets – When Do You Know It’s Time?
Do your kitchen cupboards look old and worn? Do the doors not close properly or the drawers not close on their own? If your kitchen cabinets have any of these issues, it's time to get new ones.
If you are having trouble finding a place to put things, that's another red flag. It could be a sign that your cabinets are no longer suiting your demands if you are continually trying to fit more things inside of them. In addition, if your kitchen is decorated in dated styles and materials, the whole room will look dated.
If you are doing a complete remodel, you should also think about getting new cabinets. Changing to new cabinets gives you the freedom to redesign your kitchen in any way you like, giving it a look that's perfect for you.
Furthermore, if your current cabinets are becoming unusable owing to bad design or a lack of organization alternatives, then you should consider changing them.
Issues like warping and water damage can compromise the integrity of older cabinets. It's not just about looks at that point; safety is a major concern that need replacement.
If your kitchen cabinets seem old, you don't have enough room to store your belongings, you're planning a remodel, you can't do everything you want to with them, or they're structurally damaged, it's time to get rid of them.
How to Prepare for Your Kitchen Design Project
Is it time for you to start working on your Kitchen Renovations and layout? The journey to a kitchen that both expresses your personal taste and fulfills your practical demands is an exciting one. It's best to get your ducks in a row before plunging headlong into something.
Think about how you currently use your kitchen and see if there is anything that could be improved. Things like cabinetry, counter top, and foot traffic should all be taken into account. As a result, you'll be able to make more informed decisions about the kitchen cabinets you purchase.
Create a financial plan for the project next. If you don't budget correctly, home improvements can rapidly become a financial burden. You can save money without sacrificing quality by comparing the prices of various cabinet options in your price range.
You should start looking at design magazines and websites like Pinterest after you have an idea of what you want your new cabinets to look like. Keep pictures of kitchens that you like and make notes about which elements or designs you like best.
The next step is to hire a reliable builder or designer who can make your ideas a reality. Search online directories or get personal referrals from people you know for reputable specialists in your region.
Don't overlook the logistics of getting ready for a remodel, such as getting rid of clutter, finding a temporary kitchen solution, and communicating with contractors about expected completion dates.
If you do these things before beginning your kitchen remodel, you'll be ready to select and install new cabinets with confidence and knowledge.
Selecting the Perfect Kitchen Cabinet: Kitchen Space
Choosing the right Kitchen companies near me is essential when doing a kitchen remodel. The size of the kitchen is an important consideration. What kind of cabinets will work best for your kitchen depends on its size and design.
Take a good look at the overall measurements of your kitchen. Is it cramped and claustrophobic, or roomy and comfortable? You can use this information to decide if you want an entire wall of cabinets or prefer a more open layout with floating shelves.
Next, consider how you currently make use of your kitchen. Do you have a lot of kitchen equipment and utensils and take pleasure in cooking? Or would you rather have things look simple and uncluttered?
Deep you want your cabinets to be. Taller cabinets take use of vertical space and offer storage if you have high ceilings. However, using shorter cabinets might help a space with a low ceiling feel more expansive.
Think about the kitchen's layout and any restrictions it may impose. Do you have any windows that can prevent you from putting cabinets in a certain spot? Is there anything particularly challenging about the area's corners or angles?
Choose a kitchen cabinet style with practicality in mind. Is it more practical to use pull-out drawers or static shelves for storing commonly used items?
With these considerations in mind, you'll be able to choose a kitchen cabinet layout that not only looks amazing but also maximizes efficiency in your cooking space.
Choose the Right Cabinets for Your Kitchen
Choosing the proper cabinets for your kitchen may have a significant effect on the aesthetics and practicality of the entire room. It's difficult to pick one thing out of all the possibilities when there are so many to consider.
Prioritize the look of your kitchen above anything else. Do you want to appear contemporary and chic, or do you like a more classic style? This will direct you toward cabinet designs that fit in with your taste.
Consider your space constraints next. Do you have a lot of cookware that you use frequently and want to keep close at hand? Is there furniture or electronics that needs to be kept in a particular way? Find out what you have and how much room you'll need for storage.
Durability is another important aspect to think about. Because of how frequently they are opened and closed, kitchen cabinets need to be made from durable materials. Most people agree that solid wood cabinets will last the longest.
Don't lose sight of your financial limitations. Before you start looking for cabinets, you should think about your budget. You can limit your alternatives and save money in this way.
You'll be able to get the best cabinets for your New Kitchens remodel if you give serious thought to design, storage requirements, longevity, and cost. More Details, call us Kitchen Space experts today.
