AN: I don't know how I feel about my writing in this one.
Junior year. You're halfway through your college career and have made the decision to enter into the transfer portal. The decision was made after a really messy situation on your team that was so bad it had you moving schools.
It turned out to be for the better as you are now a Hawkeye. You were quickly picked up by Coach Bluder and the Hawkeyes once you entered the portal. It was a win-win considering they were trying to recruit you during high school but you ultimately decided to go to a school in Connecticut.
Your move was seamless. Moving into Iowa was made easy thanks to your roommate, Kate. You had met her a few times before and really admire her leadership both on and off the court. She helped you get settled in and even showed you around campus. It was really nice having someone who could help you get your footing.
It's a Tuesday morning when you first step foot into Carver for the first training day of the summer. It had been a fairly quick turnaround from talking to your old coach, moving, and jumping into training. You were honestly grateful for it, it gave you less time to think about the events of the previous season.
Kate's by your side as you walk into the locker room to get ready for practice. She introduces you to a few of the girls before you even step foot on the court. One person you haven't met but were really looking forward to meeting is the one and only Caitlin Clark. You have been watching her game since both of your freshman years and believe that you would work really well together on the court. You don't see her in the locker room but know you'll be seeing her soon. Once you're ready, you make your way out to court and start talking with some of the coaching staff.
Caitlin comes running into the locker room, throwing everything she owns into her locker as she quickly throws her practice jersey on and runs to catch up with Kate.
"Just on time, speedy," Kate teases her best friend. "Your shirt's backward too."
Caitlin curses as she quickly changes it to the right direction as she walks onto the court. The second her head pops through her shirt, she sees you.
Her first impression is that you are gorgeous. You stand there with a natural confidence as a smile peaks through during your conversation. She watches how your body language is open and welcoming, the complete opposite of what she would be in a new team.
"As you all know, we have a few people to introduce," Coach Bluder says to get the ball rolling. "Starting with our incoming freshmen - Taylor, Jada, and Hannah."
Everyone welcomes them.
"We also have a transfer," Coach says as she introduces you and where you transferred from. You give a smile and wave.
Caitlin feels like she is going to pass out - when you smile at the team, you look directly at her.
"Can't wait to get to know all of you," you say. Your voice is like music to Cait's ears.
Practice begins and it being the first summer training is filled with getting the team familiar with each other. It is mostly for the freshman, you remember your freshman year and how exciting but terrifying starting summer training was. You instantly connect with Jada and Hannah. You find them to be the sweetest human beings.
Meanwhile, Caitlin can't seem to take her eyes off you.
"I'm worried your eyes are going to fall out of your head," Kate bumps Caitlin's arm. Caitlin's head whips around.
"Hmm, what did you say?" Caitlin says reluctantly looking away from you.
"Care to be any more obvious?" Kate says with a laugh.
"I don't know what you mean," Caitlin says now looking down at her shoes.
"Bro, you are too obvious," Kate pushes Caitlin. "You can at least keep it in your pants - you just met the girl."
"Shut it," Caitlin warns and pushes Kate back. She straightens up when she sees you walking over to them.
"Hi," you say and Caitlin is ready to fall to her knees. She hopes you don't notice how they buckle a little under your gaze, Kate for sure notices though.
"Hey," Caitlin says trying her hardest to sound normal.
"I've been looking forward to meeting you ever since the transfer got finalized," you say as you extend your hand to shake hers.
Caitlin almost blacks out. The most beautiful girl she has ever laid eyes on knows who she is and was actually waiting to meet her - is this a dream? All she can do is smile like a little schoolgirl and stare at you. Kate bumps her arm signaling to her that you are standing there sort of awkwardly waiting with your hand out waiting to shake hers. Caitlin wipes her hands on her shorts and then goes to shake your hand. You don't stop smiling.
Caitlin on the other hand could facepalm at how dorky she is being right now.
The rest of practice goes pretty smoothly - aside from Cait's staring. Kate has to nudge the girl several times because her staring became a little too obvious - at least to everyone except you.
After practice, Caitlin practically begs Kate to let her come over, which she does. She also invites the rest of the team.Caitlin doesn't care because all she can think about is getting to know you more.
The team is over at your apartment and decided it would be fun to do some baking and just hang out. You learn Caitlin can make the best chocolate cookies known to man.
"Caitlin, these are the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had," you say as your eyes roll to the back of your head and a moan escapes your lips. The girls laugh and Caitlin has to grip the counter at the sight and sound of you. If it was up to her, she would have you pushed up against the wall doing anything and everything she could to get you to make that sound again.
You finish the cookie and go for a second, then a third.
"I am going to need you here all the time to make these for me," you say to Caitlin as she is putting in the last batch.
"Oh, she wouldn't mind that at all," Kate says and Caitlin bumps her, signaling for her to shut up.
"Let me grab your number and you can call me anytime for cookies," Caitlin says passing you her phone. The two of you exchange numbers and Caitlin is already planning on how she can ask you out or at least get you one on one.
A few weeks pass and school begins. Caitlin feels like she has fallen even more in love with you. She is over at your apartment all the time. You never minded because you knew how close of friends Caitlin was to Kate. You have also grown to really enjoy her company.
The three of you are all having a movie night when relationships are brought up for the first time.
It is halfway through the movie when Caitlin lets her thoughts get the best of her.
"So why did you transfer to Iowa?" Caitlin asks. You were sort of taken by surprise but knew the question was going to come sooner or later.
"Well, long story short, it just wasn't a good fit. I didn't really fit into their system well," you say trying to be as vague as possible.
"I heard something about you dating someone on your team, is that true?" Kate asked with the purest intentions.
As much as you wish things didn't get around, you knew that would be difficult with who you were involved with, the media ate her up.
"Ya," you say ready to brave the conversation.
Caitlin had been hanging on to every word.
"I heard it didn't end super well..." Kate also added.
You nod.
"Ya, I dated one of the girls on my team. Everything was great until it wasn't, ya know? I wasn't enough for them and they sought that in someone else while we were still together. When things ended, it changed the whole dynamic. People chose sides and it wasn't mine," you say looking down.
Caitlin can't help but put her hand on your knee and give it an encouraging squeeze.
"I didn't belong there anymore and they made it known and that's when I decided to enter the transfer portal. It sucks how it all happened but I've learned a lot," you say trying to stay optimistic about it. "Never again will I date someone I am on the same team with."
Kate gauges Caitlin's reaction which is a mix of things.
"Well, never say never," Kate says with a little laugh, trying to get Caitlin's mood back to one that isn't completely crushed.
You laugh.
"I mean that I have one rule: don't date a teammate," you say. "It's for the better - keeping relationships on the team light and never too intense to the point where someone has to pick up and leave."
When you say the last part, you feel a pain rise up in your chest.
"But all that is really heavy, let's get back to the movie," you say with a smile.
The three of you finish watching the movie. You are locked back into the film but Caitlin is not. Kate can practically see the steam coming out from Caitlin's ears at how fast her brain is thinking.
Caitlin spent the rest of the movie figuring out how she can show you that you're wrong. That it can be done and that you and her would be perfect together. That she would never break your heart, couldn't even think about it because of the wonderful person you are. That even with your stupid rule, Caitlin sees you as worth it and will do everything in her power to show you.
Over the next few weeks, Caitlin makes it a point to show you that she is there. The two of you are always hanging out with one another. She makes sure that she starts with the little things, like remembering all the things you like and don't like. She caters to you in a way that believes you deserve to be cared for. She goes above and beyond to prove that she will fight for you and love you in a way that no one else can or ever will. So much so that you feel you need to bring it up.
"Hey, Cait?" You ask pulling her aside after practice one day. Pulling aside is kind of a stretch as she had already planned for the two of you to go get massages as a little reward for all of your hard work.
"What's up?" She says with a smile.
You don't really know where to start because as obvious as it has been, you may be reading too far into her actions.
"I don't really know how to say this, but you have been doing a lot for me recently and I genuinely love it - I feel like our friendship has grown exponentially and some of it may be overstepping the friendship line. You do remember that I don't date teammates...right?" When you said it, you immediately wish you would have approached it differently.
Caitlin knew this was going to come and had already thought through her answer.
"I know," she says. You nod at her simple response thinking that was all she would say but she continues. "I know, but I am going to prove to you that you're wrong."
You are about to protest but she stops you.
"I am going to show you that the guard you put up isn't needed with me because when I first saw you, I knew. I knew that I would never let you go. You might not have known but I knew. And I will use every day to show you that you don't need to be afraid because I am not like her," Caitlin says and takes your hand. "You are worth more than everything and I am willing to show you that if you let me. Please let me."
You stood there terrified. Terrified that this would all end up the same way. But there was something in her eye - something that wasn't there in the last person who held your heart.
"Caitlin, I can't," you say wanting so badly to say okay and let her show you there is so much more there is to love than what you had experienced. You want Caitlin to prove you wrong and show you that there are good people out there and that you are worthy of a timeless love. But you simply can't.
You expected Cait to be defeated and walk away. Not to say you weren't worth it but getting to know Caitlin and how wonderful of a person she is, she deserves someone who is going to love her as much as she loves them.
She nods.
"I am not going to stop showing you how much love you deserve," she starts. "How someone can love you even in your flaws and stick around to show you that you are worthy. Worthy of love and worthy of someone who makes every day better than the last. And I am willing to do that, I am going to show you that it is going to be us. That we would be great together because I know that we will be. That it would only grow our team because the connection would be stronger. Forget the team dynamic because baby, you and I would carry this team wherever we want to go. Then when we are done here - we will go where the wind takes us and do amazing things there because it would be you and me against the world."
At this point, Caitlin has your face in her hands as her thumbs swipe across your cheeks dissolving the tears that started to fall.
"Baby, your fear is real, but so am I. And I am standing right in front of you ready to show you that I can take your fear and turn it into something beautiful." Caitlin says as she places her forehead on yours, eyes closing. Your eyes close as the tears continue to fall.
You are terrified. The last time you trusted someone like you were about to trust Caitlin it ended up in flames. But there was something in you telling you to jump. Jump knowing that the girl in front of you will catch you and continue to catch you every day.
You lean in and press your salty lips to hers. The kiss is desperate. Desperate for her to do exactly what you believe she would - catch you.
She kissed you back with the same force but instead of desperation, it was full of love. Caitlin got her answer in that kiss. She understood the leap you were taking and was ready to be everything for you.
That kiss was more than a kiss. It was a promise.
AN: Crazy...but let me know what you think. And as always, thank you for your love and support 🤍

What am I if not your guard? Chapter 3
Wild risks his life(again) to save one of his brothers.
First Chapter -- Previous -- Next
AO3 Link
Warnings: Wild fell down a hill
Chapter 3: Fall down three times, get up Four
It was the day after the last incident. No one was badly injured, a potion had been forced down Wild's throat so his arm healed the rest of the way. All the others had been helped by Hyrule or drank a potion.
They were all exhausted. After the knights had left the group of heroes decided to stay and camp for the night. Mats were unrolled, a fire was set up and Wild had started cooking.
Legend came back from the forest with an armful of sticks for the fire and Twilight emerged from a perimeter check. Several of the group were sharpening swords, polishing armor or getting blood stains out of clothes.
Wild's head shot up, looking towards a spot on the far side of their camp.
"Uh... guys?" Wild asked. Suddenly, with swirling purple and black, a portal spun open, looming beyond the group intimidating and menacing.
"Nooo! Why do we have to go now?" Wind whined, throwing a stick at the portal and looking angrily at where it had been.
Legend grumbled under his breath, muttering something about heroes' luck.
With grumbling and complaining, from certain heroes more than others, they packed up camp. Mats were rolled back up, supplies were stuffed in bags and the half made soup was transferred to Wild's slate.
The group was finally packed up and ready to leave. The portal started to pull at them, a little shift towards the dark swirling mass that would turn into a full on vacuum if they waited much longer. Hylia had plans for them, and they had to go along with it.
Two by two, they entered the portal. First Warriors and Legend, to clear out any monsters on the other side. Then it was Sky and Twilight, then Four and Wind, Hyrule and Wild, and finally Time.
On the other side, instead of the cool dark atmosphere of night, it was bright and warm.
Most of the heroes started to complain as soon as they could see again. They had wanted to sleep, and now didn't have the chance. Setting up camp again was tempting, but they needed to figure out where they were, move, and get to a safe spot by nightfall.
The trees around them were dark and twisted, the air heavy, yet holding a special magical quality to it.
"Welcome to my Hyrule!" Hyrule said when he looked up from helping Four. The smithy was hunched over, having a bout of travel sickness from the portal.
Some of the group looked excited, being in one of the more rarely visited Hyrules, others looked uneasy, glancing at the rotting trees and dark vegetation around them.
Four's arm was looped around Wind's shoulder and the group set off. Hyrule was in the lead with Legend and Wild next to him. Normally he was quite self conscious about the state his Hyrule was in, but currently he was pointing out to his party members the healing that was occurring all around them.
Green shoots poked out of blackened stumps, white and gold flowers littered the ground in some places and every now and then a bird or squirrel call could be heard. Hyrule's land was healing, and as the defender of it, he was proud.
Eventually they came up on a drop off. Behind them were trees and dense forested land, before them was the vast expanse of sky, overlooking a rough rock field and then more forest. It was obvious that the cliff had been through erosion, the brink sharp and cracked while below it mounds of rock and rubble lay where more cliff had once sat.
The sun was beginning to go down, clouds gathered in the skies showing off an array of reds, pinks golds and blues. As they set up their camp and prepared for nightfall stories were told around the campfire.
Sky told stories of his home in Skyloft, detailing many sunsets just like the one they were watching. Warriors told tales of sunsets, glowing over a golden city and bathing battlefields in the deepest of reds. Wind talked about sunsets over the great ocean, where the sun met the sea and the world lay still in the moment of peace. Twilight told of the most magnificent sunsets, where day met night, and dusk ruled the world. Where magic unknown to the land would begin to creep through the stillness and turn one beautiful moment into the story of a lifetime.
The group listened and ate as the sun went down. As darkness came upon them sleeping mats were rolled out and tired marchers climbed in to rest their weary heads.
First watch was given to Four, who sat near the fire and looked upon both the sleepers and the surroundings. Most of the group lay down and seemed to fall asleep fairly quickly. For others, sleep didn't come so quickly but they still lay down, exhausted limbs pulling them to stay still.
An hour passed, then another. Most, if not all of the group was asleep, except for one. Wild climbed out of his bedroll and quietly moved to sit by the fire with Four.
"What are you doing awake?" Four asked quietly.
"Couldn't sleep. Thinking too much," Wild answered, staring straight ahead, beyond the cliff and into the night.
"Would talking help?" Four asked. If Wild wasn't up to it, he wouldn't pry but if it helped, he would listen to anything.
"Probably not, it's all in the past now." Wild sighed and looked up into the stars.
Four didn't answer, just looked to spot the same stars Wild was so intently looking at. He quietly stood up and offered a hand to Wild. The champion took it and both stood up, Four leading them over to the edge of the cliff. Four sat down and Wild followed, kicking his feet off the cliff and staring into the expanse of forest below him.
"I just get so confused sometimes," Wild started, taking Four by surprise, "at one time I was told to do something, and now it seems frowned upon.
"Something I was expected to do is now not okay."
"Have you talked to Time about it? Make sure you know what you are supposed to do and work out why you aren't?" Four asked, seeking peace for the young boy's troubled heart.
"I don't feel like I can," Wild looked down at his hanging feet sadly.
"It's alright, I know it's hard, but you'll figure a way out, you always do." Four looked at the champion and smiled. After some hesitancy, he received a smile in return.
"Thanks smithy."
"Anytime."
Wild stood up, taking one last look at the sky before him and turned to go back to his bedroll. Four took another look and turned to follow him.
Wild was a couple feet ahead of Four when the cliff started to crack. Pebbles showered down the side of the cliff and larger rocks uprooted themselves from under Four's feet.
Wild looked back at the noise and stared in horror as the rocks underneath Four completely gave way. They slid and flung into the air, taking the smithy with them.
"Four!" Wild yelled, already running towards him.
Four was in the air, falling below the cliff too fast for Wild to reach. Without a second thought, Wild dove. He caught up to Four and grabbed the smithy's hand.
"Hang on!" He called before wrapping one arm around Four's waist and whipping out his paraglider with the other.
Without two hands to hold his glider, Wild continued to fall, only slightly slower than before. He panicked, seeing the ground approaching fast and faster every moment.
Wild struggled with his glider before finally hooking his elbow across one strap and grabbing onto the other, right before he hit the ground.
The glider billowed out for only a moment before Wild completely rolled around, placing him between Four and the ground. He landed hard, even though the glider had slowed him down a considerable amount.
His body flopped, hitting the ground hard and snapping his head against the rocks beneath it. Four landed hard on his stomach, winding him and the smithy.
Both lay prone for a moment before Four regained his senses and got off Wild. He looked at his savior, now lying still on the grass. Wild's hair was slowly turning red, the same color as the rocks around it. His body was still, unusual for the energetic teen.
For a moment, Four was scared. Rarely did each of the colors in his head agree, but now they did wholeheartedly. They needed help.
He called, screamed, yelled at the top of the cliff, hoping someone would hear him. His voice was almost raw, but at long last several heads poked over the side of the cliff. He breathed a sigh of relief and waved his arms.
Immediately some of the group jumped towards him, and Four almost had another heart attack before they whipped out leaves, clothes and hook-shots and lowered themselves slowly to the ground.
He was soon the center of a buzzing mass, voices blurring all around him as he struggled to speak.
Thankfully Warriors, who had jumped down with his scarf being used as a parachute, took action. He grabbed Wild and looked at the boy, checking his head and the rest of his body. He said something to Legend, who pulled out a fairy bottle and released her.
The world was a blur as someone lowered Four to the ground and sat with him. It was Sky, checking for injuries and just making sure Four knew that everyone was okay.
More and more people fell from the sky, taking gear with them as they went. It seemed like no one was getting back up the cliff, so they were prepared to stay on the ground for a while.
Wild was patched up, the fairy repairing most of the damage to his head as Warriors wrapped his bruised ribs and Hyrule healed him somewhat.
He was still out cold, and that may have been a good thing, because Four was about to lecture him till he passed out again. Saving someone who was falling off a cliff was one thing, jumping after them with what seemed like very little of a plan was another.
And by the way some other people looked at Wild, it seemed like he wasn't the only one who needed to talk some sense into the boy.
Sweet Hylia, he needed a break.
Thank you everyone who read till the end!(I think these chapters keep getting longer each time I write one) If you have any comments, questions or suggestions I would love to hear them!

It occurred to me at one point that since it's our grandpa who owned the farm, you could have an infinite amount of cousins who own the farm.
So now two of my farmers are cousins who realised they were both working at the same company after a department transfer and both decided to leave their soul sucking jobs to become farmers.
One of them is my main female farmer when I started using mods for the first time, like expanded. The other is my male farmer who I'm using to explore Ridgeside.
They are basically gender bent versions of their grandparents save for a few differences like skin tone.
So, you know how some of the villagers know about your grandparents? Like Lewis, Evelyn, the cult, the adventure guild etc
How would the characters who knew about Grandpa and Grandma react to seeing how similar the farmer is to their grandparents. Like, the farmer does something that really reminds them of grandpa/grandpa or they notice they have the exact same eyes.
Oh, how I enjoy reading people's stories with their OCs Farmers who are either relatives or friends/neighbours in Stardew Valley! I guess that's why I love the interaction of my OC with my mutual ones ☺️ Your story for your OCs is very sweet, dear anon, thanks for sharing it. Enjoy some headcanons! 🫰💕
_________________________________________
All that Farmers managed to do for the residents of Pelican Town and Ridgeside Village, all the good they did for the entire Amethyne family, Maive will never forget. Their kindness and patience, their desire to help everyone and their drive for perfection... All of these attributes that the elderly head of a much respected noble family had already seen long ago in one chaotic, charismatic and kind Grandpa. Even the way he was always running and rushing about, meddling in other people's business and always keeping his overalls dirty from working on the farm. Maive thought it a little strange: the imperfections and smells of the grass, which she usually found irritating, now make her think about her past, when Farmer's Grandpa and Grandma had been there for Maive in joy and sorrow. The few people who were friends with her not because of her status, but because they thought she was a good person. All of this she now sees in the young Farmer as well.
The moment Evelyn saw Farmer on her doorstep, with their overalls stained with grass and soil, a basket of fresh apples and a smile on their face, she almost mouthed the name of her late old friend. In her youth, Grampa had been a frequent visitor, treating Evelyn, her husband and their then living daughter to ripe berries and fruit almost every week. Always smiling, always cheerful and happy, Grampa was a ray of sunshine for all the residents. Even Evelyn's husband, George, stopped grumbling as usual and gave a firm handshake to the kind neighbour who dropped in for a visit. The Farmer who appeared on her doorstep inadvertently made Evelyn go back in time, to those moments, for so much did the Farmer and Grandpa look alike. In appearance as well as in character.
That fire in their eyes... Belinda and Raeriyala have mentioned more than once how much Farmer looks like their grandmother, but after their adventures in Ridge Forest, opening the portal and preparing for the final battle, both spirits have seen Farmer enter the portal into the corrupted magical forest, and how willingly they are to fight to save Ridgeside Village. Just like their long-time friend whose death they will never forgive Gabriella for. Even these words that the Farmer uttered..... "Don't be afraid, it's gonna be okay!" That was the last thing Belinda heard from Grandma before the portal closed behind her. Both the cult leader and the forest spirit for a moment wanted to even rush towards Farmer already, in order to prevent them from entering the portal. Because they felt that they were losing a good friend again..... But the situation with the dark magic was out of control, and they both only have to believe in her grandchild.
Towards evening, Lewis walked to the Farmer's house, as usual intending to collect all their crops and produce for sale from their shipping bin. The Mayor saw the Farmer outside, not far from the Barn, where they were stroking the head of a cow. The Farmer cooed and played with the cow while the animal closed its eyes and enjoyed scratching behind its ear, rattling its bell around its neck. Lewis smiled warmly, remembering how much he had been afraid of cows as a teen and their powerful hoof strike that could knock him out. It was Farmer's Grandpa, Lewis' food friend, who had taught him how to properly approach these massive animals and and not be intimidated by them. The way the Farmer played with the cows made Lewis remember those wonderful days of his youth when his friend still worked here on this very farm. When Farmer turned to the thoughtful Mayor, Lewis almost said Grandfather's name instead of Farmer's. "You know, Farmer, cows were your grandfather's favourite animals."

Demon(slayer?)hood
Izuku Midoriya, Eri X Demon Slayer! 2296 Words
“Remember, boy. If you see me, run. I’m only about four hundred years old then. I will not recognize you.” The six-eyed demon commanded his pupil, the only sign of his aging being the silver white hair streaking his ponytail.
Izuku bowed, “Hai Sensei!” He said, the necklace gifted to him bouncing off his chest as he righted himself.
“And hide that necklace.” Kokushibo reminded Izuku. “Having one of my eyes on you is an immediate trial in the Demon Slayer Corps, and potential execution.” The boy nodded, tucking the jewelry under his shirt.
“I’ll only use it as a last resort.” Next to Izuku was a little girl, Eri. Since Overhaul had been imprisoned and not killed, she had no faith in her safety anywhere in this world. She was eager to step through the rip in reality behind her, to leave forever.
Kokushibo stood up, walking around his desk and embracing the two silently. He didn’t ask if they wanted to turn back, or change their minds. All he did was shove them through the portal, turning to face a mask, and a pair of golden eyes.
~ ~ ~
Izuku immediately turned, frantically looking for Eri. Where was she? He drew his Scorpion Stinger, wandering into the forest at the sound of rustling leaves. “You! Bow to the power of the Great Inosuke!” Now, Izuku knew someone named Katsuki Bakugou, and immediately recognized the attitude.
“Fight me!” The greenette shouted back. “Whoever wins has to help the other with one request!”
The boy paused for a minute, as if not believing what he was hearing. “Finally! Someone wants to fight me! Bring it on!” Inosuke howled, charging Izuku. The youngest of the Midoriya Family expertly sheathed his sword, entering a grappling match with his new friend.
Eventually, Midoriya decided to end their match, taking a deep breath in. ‘Broccoli Breathing, Friendship Bat!’ Izuku landed a roundhouse kick on Inosukes skull, causing the boy to collapse, his boar mask falling off and revealing one of the prettiest faces he had ever seen. But not as pretty as Eri’s, of course. Izuku picked Inosuke up, along with his mask, carrying him down the path towards the Final Selection, which Kokushibo told him he needed to attend if he wanted assistance from the demon slayers in any significant way.
Izuku had planned on just living a quiet life with Eri as his pseudo sister, but now with her missing -most likely separating in the portal- he needed all the help he could get.
: : :
About an hour later, Izuku had taken a break from carrying Inosuke, stopping by a river to bathe himself. The water was cold at first, but felt nice against his scars. Scars he had earned in only his first year of hero training.
The boy had given up heroism after the year was over. It had become too much for him, and he wanted to preserve himself for the people who he loved; Every inch of unscarred flesh, and every bone left unshattered in his body. He’d given OFA to Aizawa-sensei to give to students of his choosing, teaching the man how to separate the quirks and transfer them individually with Quirk Pass and how to use them over the summer. However, Aizawa had decided to have Izuku keep Danger Sense and Black Whip, being one of the few who knew of Izuku's plans to enter a world of demons, with a little girl to protect.
They had delivered the news in a last minute fashion to his classmates (aside from Bakugou), only telling them that he would be leaving, and not coming back. Izuku had cried when he told them, but he didn’t regret it. He couldn’t bear to look at the world he lived in any longer, cloaking disdain for it every minute of every day he was allowed to let his thoughts stew.
And what better place to go than Kokushibos own world? A place he might be able to find something familiar without wishing it wasn’t there.
Izuku was so wrapped up in his thoughts that he hadn't noticed Inosuke join him in the river until now, quiet and with his back turned as he washed himself. His mask and clothes were on the riverbank with Izuku's belongings, however, they weren't folded like the greenette’s was.
The duo continued to respectfully ignore each other until the hour was up, when they both left the river to dry and get dressed.
“Inosuke-san.” Midoriya spoke up after a minute, drawing the boy's attention. “Are you alright?” Inosuke paused for a minute, before sparkling and answering.
“Yup!” The bluette replied. “I was being quiet because creatures usually don’t like to talk while they are vulnerable, or their scars are present.”
Izuku smiled, then grinned. “Thank you Inosuke. By the way, what is your full name?” He asked.
“Hashibira! Hashibira Inosuke! What is your name, person-I-owe-a-favor-to?” Hashibira asked in turn, still sparkling.
“Midoriya Izuku.” The boys sparkling intensified, causing Izuku to shield his eyes. “Tone it down, will you?” The sparkling went down, and Izuku was able to see again. “My little sister went missing. She has pale blue hair and red eyes. Would you look for her when we part ways?”
“Fine! I will find your sister! You can count on it!”
~ ~ ~
Eri opened her eyes, looking around. Where was she? Where was Izuku?!
Suddenly, the horned girl heard the strike of a biwa, and her surroundings changed. She was on a tatami mat floor, in a room that had walkways and stairs on the ceiling and walls, appealing to have infinite surfaces in every direction. "W-where am I?" She asked quietly, too confused to be scared. "You are in the Infinity fortress, young one." A femenine voice replied. Up on a raised platform, a woman holding a biwa looked down at Eri. "Tell me girl. Are you human? Can you walk in the sunlight?" Eri nodded, hesitantly looking around. The woman struck her biwa again, teleporting next to Eri, causing her to jump a little. "Sit, girl. What is your name?" Eri sat down obediently next to the woman,"My name is Eri Aizawa."
~ ~ ~
Nakime glanced at the girl, noticing the exhaustion on her face. "Come, girl." She said, putting her biwa down. "You look tired, you can lie on my lap." The pale blue haired girl cast her a thankful look, accepting Nakimes offer and almost immediately falling soundly asleep, in what looked like the first time in days.
Not an hour later though, Nakime sensed the Upper Moons. They were granted permission by Muzan to enter whenever they pleased, much to her irritation, so Muzan allowed her to kick them out after 24 hours if they were too bothersome. Kokushibo and Akaza were never a problem, Daki and Gyutaro mostly minded their own business, but the other three could get annoying as hell. It was even worse when Doma and Akaza were in the same area, she always had to clean up their messes. Though, she really couldn't blame the ladder.
Kokushibo was the first to reach Nakime and the sleeping girl, much to her thankfulness, who seemed to catch on to the situation and went to quiet the loud ones. Namely Doma, but the others too. Roughly 15 minutes later, the others arrived.
They were all quiet, much to Nakimes temporary relief, until Doma opened his mouth. "Aw! How cute!" He said quietly, to everyone's surprise. But, he wasn't quiet enough. The girl jumped, clutching onto Nakimes kimono in fear, snapping awake instantly. The biwa demon glared at the blonde, placing a hand on the girl's shaking form.
"Doma, you fool." Akaza hissed. "Kokushibo said to be quiet." The demon promptly decapitated Doma with his hand, veins bulging.
"I was just trying to be nice!" Doma protested.
Nakimes anger had been steadily rising, but immediately simmered down when the girl stopped shaking, standing up and timidly approaching the decapitated head. The gore didn't seem to bother her as blood dripped onto her feet, proceeding to hold the head up to Domas' still standing body. "H-here you go sir." She said quietly, the demon taking his head and putting it back on his head.
"Why thank you little girl!" He said. No longer trying to be quiet, but not loud either. The girl quickly zipped behind Kokushibo, clutching his hakama pant leg as she eyed the other demons cautiously.
~ ~ ~
Kokushibo looked down at the little girl, giving her a questioning look as she returned his gaze. It was silent for a moment as they had a small staring contest, until she wrapped her arms around his legs. "You look like you need a hug." She said, as she closed her eyes and pressed her face into the side of his thigh. The demon's stoic demeanor broke as a small smile graced his face, placing a hand on the girl's head. A calm, peaceful sensation washed over Kokushibo as he ruffled the girl's hair, his eyes falling closed in a happy manner, his smile widening ever so slightly. But, the moment was ruined when the duo heard the metallic clang of one of Domas' fans clattering to the ground.
Kokushibo almost felt bad for his second.
~ ~ ~
As Akaza turned around to face Kokushibo, he saw something he never thought he would ever see in his life. 'Kokushibo is smiling. Upper Moon One is fucking smiling.' Using his compass, Akaza sensed Doma was about to turn around and say something stupid, so he quickly slapped a hand over his superiors mouth, motioning to Kokushibo.
'And Doma stayed quiet. Doma is being quiet- WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!?'
~ ~ ~
Muzan Kibutsuji was quite confused when he felt large amounts of panic, shock, and confusion from Akaza. But oddly, Upper Moon Three wasn't dying. This caused Muzans confusion to rise. He looked into Akazas head to hear: 'Kokushibo was smiling. Upper Moon One is fucking smiling.' Akaza then quickly slapped a hand over Domas mouth.
'And Doma stayed quiet. Doma is being quiet- WHAT THE FUCK IS-' And thats where Muzan left Akazas mind.
He then decided to visit Kokushibos head and felt a peaceful serenity in the demon. His eyes were closed, but he could feel a small child hugging the demon's body. From Upper Ones memories, he saw the face of a red eyed girl, with a small, barely noticeable stub of a horn. In the background, the demon king could hear Daki fawning over the girl in her head. Muzan then shifted to Doma, who was stunned to silence, almost feeling bad when the blonde dropped his fan.
~ ~ ~
Eri jumped when she heard a metallic clang, looking over to the blonde man, who seemed relatively shocked. Eri hesitantly let go of the six-eyed man's hakama, walking over and picking up his fan. "S-sir?" She stuttered out, drawing his attention. "You dropped this." The girl held up his fan, seemingly snapping him back to reality.
"Oh, thank you! I was just surprised, it's not often you see Kokushibo-dono smile." The blonde smiled, who Eri remembered his name was Doma, from when Mr. Kokushibo was telling them about his world.
She gave a small nod and hurried over to said pink-haired man, hugging his legs in a similar manner. "You also look like you need a hug." Eri said. This one was Akaza. Kokushibo had described him as one of the better ones, he wouldn't hurt her. She didn't notice Akaza giving Kokushibo a panicked look, asking for advice. The demon only nodded towards the girl's head with his own, prompting the nervous demon to pat Eri on her pale blue locks. Eri didn't notice any of this, only leaning into the demon's touch, happy for the comforting gesture.
Eri then passed out, stressed by the recent development, and light headed from the last blood draw.
~ ~ ~
Akaza panicked again, quickly catching the girl's limp body as she fell. Did he do something wrong?! He glanced around to see the other Upper Moons snickering, even Kokushibo had an amused glint in his eye. Akaza then glanced at Nakime, begging her for answers. She only smiled and gestured to her lap, Akaza quickly placing the girl with her.
"Akasa, you dolt." Daki snickered. "The kid's just tired and stressed. Don't worry your pink-haired head." Akaza sighed in relief, almost wilting. But he, and all the other Upper Moons, went ramrod straight when they sensed Muzan in the room, bowing immediately. Aside from Nakime, who simply straightened in attention.
"Originally, I was going to make her my heir, and train her to be the next Demon Queen." He stated. "However, it seems being with you six would be better for her. Teach the girl the ways of the Upper Moons, only then I will make her the new ruler of demons." Muzan then warped away, presumably returning to his office. All of the demons were shocked at this new development, Muzan was not one to give up even an ounce of his power.
"Well well well!" Doma was the first to speak up. "That is quite interesting! What should we teach her?" He asked.
"I'll teach her hand-to-hand." Akaza offered.
"Swordsmanship." Kokushibo continued.
"I'll teach her how to appear human for when she becomes a demon!" Doma said.
"I'll help with that." Daki also said. "And Gyutaro says he'll teach her about poisons. Hantengu, you and Doma can teach her psychology. And Gyokko, you and Nakime can teach her about music and craftsmanship." The lewd demon ordered, not afraid of her superiors. During this, Nakime had put the girl to bed, much to Akazas relief. He swore, if anything were to happen to her, Akaza would kill everyone in the room and then himself.
~ ~ ~
Muzan choked. What now?!

Moonlight Beta: Chapter 5 - Time Of Death
Series Masterlist
Chapter 4, Chapter 6
Pairing: Scott McCall x Fem!Liam Dunbar
Please comment, like and share
Scott had brought Lia to his house after she started to show signs of healing, instead of taking her to her house. After explaining to his mother why the girl was looking like a mess, she immediately checked on the healed wound despite knowing she had alreayd healed.
Lia had showered and changed to more comfortable clothes, which were Scott's, and after that she called her mother and told her she will be staying over at a friend for the night, and she will come back during the day the next day because she will have the day off tomorrow.
"So... Lia is staying over for the night?" she heard Stiles when she walked toward Scott's room. "Yeah," Scott answered.
"Why...?" Stiles asked. "Because, I don't want her to be dealing with what happened tonight alone," Scott said.
Stiles was sitting on the carpet, facing Scott. He tilted his head, frowning, "All right, I get that. But--"
"She's my Beta, all right?" Scott said, "She's my responsibility." Stiles pointed at him, "Are you sure it's only that?" he asked quietly. Scott frowned, "What do you mean?" he asked and pulled the bag of money from under his bed.
"Never mind," Stiles said with a sigh, and he nodded to the bag, "What's that?"
Lia decided to walk in when she heard the bag unzipped. Scott sensed her coming and looked up. "Hey," she said, and Stiles looked over.
"Lia! What's up? Feeling better?" Stiles asked. Lia nodded and when Scott nodded her to come in, she did. "Yeah," she answered, and sat down between them, "Is that the bag from last night?"
"Yeah," Scott said and looked at her, "I, uh... I lied." He opened the bag, showing her and Stiles the money inside, making their eyes grow wide.
"Oh... wow," Lia said softly. There was a moment of silent before Stiles spoke, "You counted it yet?"
"No," Scott answered. "We should probably count it," Stiles told them. Lia nodded slowly, "I guess so," she muttered. Scott and Stiles each took a side, letting the money spill onto the floor.
A cassette tape fell with it, and Lia picked it up with a frown, flipping it over.
It said, "Play Me".
Lia, Scott and Stiles looked at each other in confusion. "Do you have a radio to play it?" Lia asked Scott. "Uh, yeah, hold on," Scott said as he got up. He walked out of the room for a moment and then came back with a radio.
He sat down on his spot and put the tape in. The trio listen to a man's voice.
"After entering the IP address, you will be connected through a Darknet portal to an untraceable bank. Once logged in, enter your account number to receive wire transfers. The IP address will deactivate with each transfer. You will be assigned a new IP address if you choose to continue down the list. Remember, visual confirmation is always required for payment."
Stiles hit pause, looking at Scott, "Ever made a wire transfer?"
"Never had enough money," Scott answered. "Me either," Lia muttered. Stiles gave the girl a look and when she looked at him in confusion, he looked at Scott, "So you didn't understand a word of that either."
"I don't understand any of this," Scott said, "Why would someone use all this money just to kill us?"
"Someone wants you dead, dude," Stiles said, "Badly. And Lia, she may not be in that list, but the is another..." He looked at Lia, "You can be in the next one."
"Thanks," Lia muttered sarcastically while Scott gave him a look. He rolled his eyes and started to put the money away. Stiles looked at him, "Whoa, whoa, what are you doing?"
"It's late," Scott pointed out, "You and I got the PSATs in the morning."
"No, I meant the money," Stiles said, "$500,000. You know how much money that is?"
"It's $500,000," Lia said in a duh voice. Scott couldn't help but smirk lightly while Stiles pointed a finger at her, "Hey, shh." He looked at the Alpha, "It's half a million dollars. Scott. What are you going to do, just slide it under your mattress?"
"I have to talk to Derek," Scott said, "The money's his."
"You mean his and Peter's," Stiles corrected. "Who's Peter?" Lia asked when Scott opened his mouth. "Uh, Derek's uncle," he answered, and he looked at Stiles, "And what does that mean?"
"It means maybe we should proceed with caution," Stiles said. Scott frowned, "You don't think we should tell Derek?"
"No," the human said, getting up, "No. No, of course we have to tell him. I'm just… I'm just saying, some of that money's Peter's, right?"
"Yeah."
"Right," Stiles said, "Peter. Homicidal killer? Remember? You want to give $500,000 to him."
"So we should give Derek his money back, but not Peter?" Lia asked suddenly, "I don't think it's right..." Stiles gave her a look. "What?" she asked.
"No, you right about it," Scott told his Beta. "Oh come on, I didn't say that," Stiles said. Scott gave him a look, "Stiles, what are you saying?"
Lia could smell Malia's scent and looked to the door. "Malia is coming." Scott and Stiles looked surprised and exchanged a quick look before putting the bag under the bed.
The second they did, the door opened and Malia walked in, drenched from the rain. Scott and Stiles looked down at the new Beta. Scott raised his eyebrows, impressed with his Beta, while Stiles raised his eyebrows and nodded, clearly impressed as well.
"Not bad," he muttered. "We found Satomi's pack," Malia said, and the trio looked at her, "Derek and I. But they're dead."
Scott's eyes grew wide, "All of them?" Malia nodded, "All the ones we found." Stiles frowned, "Then where's Derek?"
--------
A few days later, Lia met up at the McCall's with Kira, Scott, and Stiles to review the plan to try and bait the benefactor. Lia, however, was not convinced that this was a good idea to go through with.
"Is three enough?" Kira questioned, meaning the three laptops they had ready as monitors. "Depends on how many cameras they have. But I think so," Stiles replied.
Lia was fidgeting, clearly uncomfortable and anxious with this whole idea, "Are we really doing this?"
"We're doing it," Scott said, "Tonight."
Lia looked at her pack members, "But, isn't it kind of dangerous?" She couldn't help but worry for her new pack. Especially Stiles who was the human of the pack. Lia knew he could hold his own but it felt like pack instinct to keep him safe.
"It's incredibly dangerous," Stiles said with a nod, clearly not trying to calm the Beta much, "And borderline idiotic."
"Have you guys done something like this before?" Lia asked as she looked at Stiles, hoping they had experience in this so the rest wouldn't be walking in completely blind.
"Something dangerous? Or something idiotic?"
Kira butted in when she noticed how Stiles' words weren't helping the Beta relax at all, "I think it's a yes to both."
"You don't have to be part of it if you don't want to," Scott told his Beta in a comforting manner, feeling bad that she was already being sucked into the drama.
"I'm not scared," Lia said. Stiles snorted to himself at her words before ruffling her hair teasingly, "Well then freshman, you're borderline idiotic."
Lia failed to hide the small smile that made its way onto her lips from Stiles' words. Stiles then turned to his best friend, "If we do this, we don't know what's coming for us. You know that, right?"
"How do we even know something's definitely coming?" Kira asked.
"Because the tape from Garrett's bag said visual confirmation required," Scott explained.
"Simon said the same thing," Stiles said, recalling the guy who tried to kill them during the junior testing day. "He couldn't get paid by The Benefactor until he had proof that you guys were dead."
"So the idea is..." Scott trailed off, "'What if you kill someone on the dead pool, but you can't send the proof?'"
"You don't get paid," Kira answered the rhetorical question.
Lia frowned, "But how does that get us any closer to whoever the Benefactor is?"
"He still needs to know if the target is really dead," Scott answered.
Stiles nodded at his friends' words before adding, "Especially if it's someone high on the list."
"So if they want visual confirmation..." Lia trailed off.
Scott nodded, "He's gonna have to come get it himself."
--------
Lia, Scott, Kira, and Kira's Mom Noshiko were all in Scott's room as they prepared for the procedure which would put Scott in an almost death-like state.
Lia, feeling like she was the only sane one there, was incredibly concerned about the backfire that this could have.
"Are you guys totally sure about this?" the blue-eyes beta had been pacing back and forth.
Kira glanced from her to Scott, "I think Lia's kind of nervous. Maybe you should tell her it's going to be alright," she advised Scott, knowing that he was the alpha and she would listen the most to him.
Scott looked over at the freshman who was extremely anxious, terrified even. He smiled at her softly as she stepped closer, "It's gonna be alright." However, Scott's words weren't able to fix everything. Lia looked over at Noshiko who was helping Kira learn how to use her powers.
"So, you've done this before, right?" Lia asked.
"I've seen it done" the older Kitsune corrected.
Lia frowned lightly, "Is that just as good?" she asked. The youngest in the room was holding onto her last shred of hope.
"No," Noshiko answered bluntly and honestly.
Kira gave her a look, "Mom, you're not inspiring confidence." The girl was already worried enough that she might mess this up, she needed her mother to have confidence in her and not upset Lia even further.
"Good. This is a terrible idea."
Lia couldn't help but panic more because of this, and Scott took her hand. "Do you want us to do it without you?" Kira snapped at her mother, and both of them stared down at each other.
Lia and Scott looked between them before glancing at each other.
"Put your hand over his heart," Noshiko said, giving in.
Before Kira did as told, Scott grabbed her arm to pause for a moment. "Hold on." He turned towards Noshiko, "What happens while I'm out? Am I gonna feel anything?"
"It might feel like you're dreaming," Noshiko answered.
"Good dreams or bad?" Scott asked.
"I suppose that depends on you," Noshiko told him.
Scott laid back down on the bed, and gently let go of Lia's hand. Noshiko nodded to Kira, who hesitated.
Kira took a steady breath before she put her hand above Scott's heart, making electricity crackle through his body, slowly shutting it down temporarily.
Scott gasped loudly, looking up in pain.
--------
Lia, Stiles, Kira and Noshiko surrounded Scott's semi-dead body, which was lying on the table in the hospital morgue. Melissa entered the morgue after giving a performance of a lifetime when breaking down after finding out her son was 'dead'.
"I still hate this plan," Melissa said as she wiped her tears away. "I mean this is pretty significantly terrifying. He looks dead."
"Give me your hand," Noshiko said softly. Melissa looked at Stiles and Lia, who nodded. Melissa held out her hand, and Noshiko took it and put it on her son's chest. "Wait for it."
Melissa sighed in relief when she sensed the faint heartbeat. "Is that enough to keep a werewolf alive?" she couldn't help but ask.
"Enough for an alpha," Noshiko answered.
"How much time do we have?" Melissa asked.
"45 minutes."
She nodded, "What happens after that?"
"I bring him back the same way," Kira answered confidently, holding Lia's hand.
"No, I mean what happens if he stays like this longer than 45 minute?" Melissa asked, and the group of teens looked away awkwardly.
"No ones told her?" Noshiko asked.
"What?" Melissa asked, "What happens after 45 minutes?"
"He dies."
--------
Stiles, Kira, and Lia were in front of the three laptops as they spoke with Chris Argent over the phone in a room.
"I'm ready. Try it now."
Stiles turned the three on to see the cameras that Chris had placed all around the hospital were successfully on.
Lia smiled knowing that it was starting to go in a good direction for them.
***
Scott's Mind:
Scott woke up inside one of the body drawers. He looked behind him, seeing that the narrow square shaft seemed to go on forever. He crawled through the shaft drawer, and crawled out to find himself falling out of a locker and at the high school.
Scott got up and started walking down the hallway. "Catch," the famished voice of his Beta rang through his ears.
Scott immediately caught the lacrosse ball and saw Lia standing there in her lacrosse jersey. She smiled, "That's why you're team captain." She winked before walking down the hall and into a classroom. Scott followed in confusion, dropping the ball behind him.
Scott walked into the classroom, looking around, but he didn't see Lia.
There was a laptop open on the teacher's desk. On the screen, the Benefactor's code scrolled to a stop. The "Keyword" prompt flashed. Scott typed in his own name, hitting enter.
The list uncoded into a list of the assassins.
The Mute
The Orphans
The Chemist
Scott thought that the dream was telling him to take this list as his own dead pool. "I can't do that. I can't kill them."
Lia appeared next to him, "Someone has to."
Scott turned at her, "Why me?"
"Because you're the Alpha," Lia said.
"I'm not a murderer," Scott said.
"But you are a predator," Lia said.
Scott shook his head, "No, we're predators. But we don't have to." Lia looked at him curiously, tilting her head. "We don't have to."
Scott shook his head, starting to breathe heavily, slamming the computer closed. He heard gasping of pain behind him, and turned around quickly. Lia was on the floor, with the Mute standing above her with his tomahawk on Lia's back.
***
Reality:
Stiles, Lia and Kira were still watching the computer screens until one went completely out. "Is that supposed to look like that?" Lia asked, being the first one to notice the screen going out.
"No," Stiles muttered, "No, it's not."
"Where is that?" Kira asked.
"It's the roof," Stiles answered, "Someone's gonna have to check it out."
"I'll go," Kira told them, turning to leave.
"Whoa, whoa," Stiles said, making her turn back to him, "This might not just be a malfunction."
"That's why I'm bringing this," Kira said as she pulled out her Katana before starting to walk away.
"I'm coming with you," Lia immediately said.
Kira slowed down for a moment so Lia could catch up before the two girls started towards the roof, ignoring Stiles' protests, "Okay! And you're both coming right back immediately. Especially you Lia!" Stiles sighed to himself. "Kids."
***
Scott's Mind:
Once again, Scott woke up inside one of the body drawers. He crawled and fell right out of a locker, falling into the school. He got up and started walking again.
"Catch!"
Scott did so, but somehow this time he had his claws out. Scott looked at Lia.
"That's why you're the Alpha."
Scott then somehow was now in the locker room. He was leaning against the sinks, looking at his reflection in the mirror.
Lia was standing behind him, crossing her arms over her chest. She watched him examining his fangs in the mirror. "There's something different, isn't there?"
"I've got more fangs," Scott said, "I noticed it during the quarantine. I don't know why."
"Maybe it's part of being an Alpha," Lia suggested, "Like you're becoming more of a werewolf."
"Or more of a monster," Scott muttered.
"What if it makes you stronger?" Lia suggested and smirked lightly, "What if I said it makes you sexier?" Scott smiled unconsciously. "It's like you're--"
But he heard a stab and turned around to see now the Mute killing Lia. "Evolving" It finished as Lia fell forward, but Scott rushed to catch her. He looked at the tomahawk in her back. He looked at the Mute, glaring.
The Mute placed a finger over where his mouth should have been.
***
Reality:
Kira and Lia made their way to the rooftop. They were looking around until one of the boxes exploded into electrical sparks, startling both girls. "Looks like someone did something to it," Lia said.
They heard behind them growling, and Kira turned first to see a Berserker.
"I think somebody did," Kira said and got out her Katana swiftly while Lia turned around to become face-to-face with the creature.
The Berserker growled as it approached them. Lia's face morphed into her werewolf one as she growled back. She flicked her claws out before roaring and charging at the creature to fight. The Berkserker blocked her moves, and then it gripped her by her throat, lifting her up, throwing her back several feet into the chain link fence, making her fall.
Kira tried to fight but was knocked out a few moments after. "Kira, Kira, get up!" Lia's shrieks finally pulled Kira out of the trance, and she helped the older girl get up to her feet.
The berserker was still standing, ready and eager to keep on fighting.
Lia groaned as she, once again, was thrown to the ground by the Berserker. "Lia, run! Get out of here!" Kira yelled as she tried to fight the Berserker by herself. But the Beta ignored her pack member pleas, getting right back up.
"Lia!" Kira warned. Lia roared, jumping on top of a fence that covered the box panel of the hospital, about to claw at the berserker.
***
Scott's Mind:
Scott, once again, woke up in one of the body drawers. He crawled and fell out, getting up again.
"Catch!"
Instead of the lacrosse ball, it was the tomahawk that he caught. He then looked down to see Lia on the ground, a wound in her chest.
"Why did you do that?" Lia whimpered.
"Let me help you. Let me show you how." The Mute's hand guided Scott to swing the tomahawk. And Scott did exactly that again and again.
***
Reality:
Stiles, Lia, Kira and Chris stood around Scott. Kira managed to wake Scott, who screamed as he opened his eyes. "Scott, hey!" Lia said as they looked at him in relief, while the Beta placed her hand on his arm.
"What happened?" Scott asked, "Did it work?"
They all exchanged a look; they failed to capture the Benefactor, whoever it may be. Instead, they had caught the attention of the werejaguar Kate Argent, Chris' sister. Kira's Mom had gotten injured. Nothing to come out a success from this plan.

IMW Chapter 6
She selected the draft email titled "school online" and received a response within a few minutes. While waiting for other responses, Marinette checked her private and work emails and accepted a few more quick commissions. Her change in status was accepted, and she was now enrolled in online schooling for her final year of college and lycee until further notice. She was relieved that she had submitted the paperwork for the switch months ago, as her teacher, Ms. Bustier, couldn't block what she didn't know. Marinette made a note of her school portal login and password and changed the standard password to something no one could guess ("Fuckofffuckers!"). She closed her laptop and proceeded to wake Tikki with a gentle shake.
"Time to wake up, sleepyhead," Marinette whispered softly.
Sitting up and stretching, Tikki replied, "Good morning, Marinette."
"Could you get the others and tell them breakfast is ready?" Marinette asked.
"Sure thing, Marinette," Tikki responded, phasing through the wall to gather the other kwamis.
Marinette plugged in her TB hard drive and began transferring her files. Once it was underway, she went back to the living room, grabbed her laptop and the master control remote, and took a seat on the large U-shaped couch. She placed her laptop on the table beside her plate, pressing a button to raise two hidden TV screens from the table, one facing each side of the couch. Marinette turned on Netflix on one screen and Disney Plus on the other, leaving the remotes beside them for the kwamis to decide what to watch. As she settled back into her seat, she sipped her tea.
"Morning, Marinette/guardian," the kwamis greeted as they took their seats.
Wayzz, Tikki, Pollen, and Longg joined Marinette to watch the news. Tik
ki had informed them that Marinette had finally begun the plans they had helped her come up with to escape her toxic household.
By 7:40, everyone had finished breakfast, but before Marinette could collect the plates, Longg said, "Don't worry, Marinette. We'll handle the clean-up." Longg, Barkk, Orikko, Trixx, Mullo, Sass, and Pollen flew the plates to the sink and started washing them. Longg handled the washing, Barkk and Mullo did the drying, Pollen and Orikko carried the plates, and Sass and Fluff put them away.
"So, what are you going to do today?" asked Kaalki. Marinette checked the time.
"Well, I should start on today's classes. It should only take 3-5 hours since I don't have to stop for interruptions. Then...," Marinette said, placing her finger on her chin, thinking. "A quick trip to the shops to restock on fresh ingredients, and then I was thinking of going over our Shadowmoth suspects list. After that, I have some sketching commissions until dinner, and then it's free time." The kwamis had insisted she have designated "free time" to relax and enjoy life, instead of constantly keeping herself busy. Marinette had even started taking hour-long herbal bubble baths with aromatherapy oils selected by Wayzz, with a kwami providing a massage afterward. These baths helped her relax and get better sleep.
"Just make sure you don't overwork yourself, Marinette," Daizzi cautioned. Marinette looked at the kwamis with affection because they genuinely cared for her.
"That reminds me, I have something to show everyone," Marinette said. The kwamis gathered around the open living room, and Marinette walked over to the wall joining her bedroom to the living room. Pointing the remote at the wall, she captured their attention.
"You see, when Uncle Jagged took the sketchbook with my dream studio to build this place, I had some very detailed plans. For example, I included one-way tinted windows, especially the large ones behind the TV. It reminds me a bit of Adrien's bedroom since that entire side of the studio has one-way reinforced glass. This way, no one can see you guys flying around. And I also had this," Marinette entered a specific combination into the remote, causing the entire wall to become transparent, revealing that it was made up of miniature rooms like those found in a dollhouse, complete with small beds and other furnishings.
"On the plans, I labeled this as a large hamster cage, and anyone who knows me knows I've always wanted one. This way, no one will ask questions. I made the furniture myself and even filled the rooms with some hats and clothes for each of you. Everyone has their own customized room and everything," Marinette explained. When she turned around, she was met with 16 surprised and shocked faces.
"Do you guys like it?" Marinette asked hesitantly. The kwamis quickly swarmed her, expressing their gratitude and amazement. The tickling sensation from the kwami hug made Marinette laugh.
"While I do my school work, you guys can explore your new rooms," Marinette suggested. She then pointed to the wall on the left side of the bedroom door and pressed another combination on the remote, causing the wall to descend into the floor. It revealed shelves with DS tablets and other electronics for the kwamis. There were 19 small rooms at the top of the wall, each labeled with a kwami's name, for them to play or read in private. In the middle, there were larger rooms with items like Nintendo Switch consoles and benches for the kwamis to play games together. At the bottom, there were even larger rooms with controllers made from the benches upstairs, allowing the kwamis to play dancing games. The studio's little details were a bit expensive, but Marinette had plenty of commission money and nothing else to spend it on. Her bank account already had a lot of zeros in it, thanks to Uncle Jagged, Cousin Clara, and the people they recommended who paid her fairly for her work. She even had an account that invested some of her money in stocks and other ventures.
"Then you can try out your new toys and gadgets," Marinette said. The kwamis were once again moved by Marinette's thoughtfulness. They had never before had a wielder or guardian who cared for them like this. Marinette had even given her old phone to them so they could watch movies and other things in the Miracle Box. Usually, they were given second-hand items, but Marinette had provided them with brand new things. Marinette found herself once again enveloped in a kwami hug, and they sat there hugging until Marinette's phone alarm went off, indicating that it was time to start her school work.
At 8:10, Marinette reluctantly got out of the hug and began her school work.
After 4 hours she got up started on her Shadowmoth files.
Gabriel Agreste: owner and head designer of the fashion brand Gabriel first came onto the suspect list because he had the Miraculous grimoire and then proceeded to become akumatized into the collector and then taken off the list because at the time it was believed that Hawkmoth couldn't akumatized himself. However he was placed back at the top of the suspect list after the appearance of his partner Mayura. Suspect for Mayura: Nathalie Sancoeur, his personal assistant, Who's health began to decline after the appearance of Mayura and would be in line with the suspect using a broken miraculous. Adrien Agreste once commented that she was showing the same symptoms as his mother did before her disappearance.
After the second scarlet moth incident. Lila Rossi is highly likely to be Hawkmoth's accomplices, with the amount of time between your expulsion and the appearance of the scarlet horde is too covenant unlike the first time where the illusion of an akumatisied Ladybug killing Chat Noir filled all of Paris's people with negative emotions and within 15 minutes the appearance of the scarlet horde.
After finalizing the files she took a look at the Ladyblog, well as much of a blog it was left after Alya started posting illegitimate claims (*cough* Lila *cough*). She was met with a huge headline of "What the HELL happened to Ladybug's suit???!!! She clicked on the video and saw herself sitting last night and with a soft glow, her costume started to change...
Well, that was strange.
Marinette- Tikki! What happened to my suit?
Tikki- well Marinette that was your magic awakening, it would seen that when you resolved yourself to emancipate yourself and put yourself first, your resolve along with the amount of emotion you were feeling awoken your magic causing your suit to change and match your new mental image of yourself and what you thought a hero/Ladybug would look like
Marinette- Wait so your saying my image of a hero was a skin tight barely leaving anything to the imagination, suit?
because that didn't sound right she had spent the first 8 years of her life in Gotham before her father, Batman, shipped her off to live with Tom and Sabine and signed over his rights to them, so her imagine of a hero should have been like Batman with gadgets not a onesie with only a yoyo.
"Tikki- Well, yes and no. Your suit was a result of you not wanting to be a hero when you first transformed, because you couldn't picture yourself was a hero so it gave you basic suit and equipments, I meant to tell you, you could have changed it but slipped my mind and you stopped complaining not long after and by then you had associated the suit and your own image of what Ladybug should look like."
Marinette just stared at the Kwami.
She could have change her suit? She could have more equipment than just a yoyo? She didn't have to have worn that skin tight, relieving suit for the last 3 years?
"Tikki..." staring straight into Tikki's eyes "run"

Cemetery Reviews #10 - Gardens of the Memory
Why do I even review cemeteries? Do you know why? That's something I asked myself a lot today. See, of all the cities in the world without a metro, this is the biggest. 12 million people, and no metro, and sure, the saying goes, small town, big hell, but I say, big city with no trains means hell on earth. I'm gonna yap for a while but I promise I'm building something up with it.
After going to the more modest cemeteries in the South I said I would go to the North and check the ones at the edge of the city, they looked in the map like they had a lot more green on them, since I live in the South, I knew it would take me a while... but it wasn't just a time consuming venture, it was also a pain in my ass.
I get out of bed and I think... why do I review cemeteries? I fool around on bed from 8 to 9 am, then I decide I want to go, I get called to send some papers for a work transfer I have, I spend an hour on that, at 10 am leave and I wait on the bus stop, and I wait... and I wait but the bus doesn't arrive. It's not just that, my bus doesn't arrive, all the other routes that pass through that bus stop passed like 20 fucking times. I said, okay, you got to be kidding me, I check the app trying to find the bus, the app is a load of shit, it is stuck, it doesn't refresh positions, it's a mess. By 12 pm I said, fuck it, I'm gonna have lunch here or I will be hungry all the way, I eat, I leave, and then by 1 pm I go to the bus stop again. I end up taking the wrong bus, it was my mistake, the second time I looked at the app I picked the wrong place at the destination and of course, I got in just happy that I wouldn't have to wait for that god damn forsaken bus that never came. I got out of the bus a bit closer to the north, I then walk 15 minutes towards the highway and I wait for a new bus. Thankfully, this time the right bus arrives, and I get inside.
And I have to poo, really bad. So I hold myself for like an hour, but of course, I say, I can't hold it forever, I get out in a place I see that looks like a mall, but it's not a mall, it's some sort of commercial center and residential bullshit so I walk putting all the pressure I can on my butt cheeks and I walk up a coffee store, thankfully, they allowed me to use the bathroom first, there was no water in that toilet so you can bet I'm never stepping foot in that place. I buy something, I leave and I wait for the bus, then it's just waiting for me to arrive, the cemetery closes at 4 PM, it's 3:10 PM, I say, I won't be able to see shit, and I get sad.
The bus went up to the north, then more and more up to the north, the houses looked wealthier, the streets wider, the green zones spread more and more. The neighborhoods were so wealthy that there were kids leaving school at 3 PM and going home in a school bus, you know, American style. There were some communes at the east over the mountains, but most of the north is very wealthy, and very green. We passed by the north terminal, the north portal, until all traces of civilization disappeared little by little, until the only thing left was the long, long highway between the green fields that went towards the north of the country, and my hometown. You won't see any cities for a long while, so in practical terms, this is the end of the map for this city, and the furthest you can go with the city buses. I got out and I said, sure, this was shit, but now I just have to walk a bit, I get to the cemetery, and the whole street is blocked due to construction.
I think those white columns are part of the entrance, but it looked hard to enter and by that point it was almost 3:30 PM. I said, dude, this shit was not worth it, let's bail. I I left and I took the bus to the north portal. Since the city ends there, what those buses do is take the return point and go back through the opposite lane.
That cemetery hid itself so much of me that I don't think I want to ever go and review it, it's like it was mocking me, like it didn't want me. Well, if it doesn't want me there, so be it. I don't care about that one anymore. I asked myself, what the hell am I doing this shit for? Why? Like what is the point?
There is none, it's just bullshit, bullshit to get me out of bed, but when it is such a pain in the ass it just makes me say, this is not worth the money, or the time, I am getting older as I speak and wasting my days off on this is not worth the time, the city is not worth the time.
However, there was another cemetery at the other side of the highway, going back to the city already, and that is the one I reviewed today.
I got out, and I said, well I'm already here and this one closes at 5 PM, so might as well take a look, right?
This is another green cemetery, as in, it works almost as a park and all tombs are surrounded by lots and lots of grass. One thing I realized is how fortunate the Gardes of Apogee in the South is, it is not only full of green but is also in the middle on the city. Any other cemetery that wants to do the same has to go through this procedure, go way to the end of the earth so they can have enough green spaces. For that I feel the rating is going to suffer a bit, it is not the cemetery's fault, but well, what can you do.
This cemetery is probably a bit more recent and has this annoyingly modern aesthetic, it tries to look "chick" or something, and it adds lots of white, the chapel looks alright (thanks to the stained glass windows) but then you look at the other stuff and it doesn't look that good.
Don't you think this statue is annoyingly minamilistic? Like, I get the idea they are going for but reducing the parts of a symbol to their most basic and recognizable elements does not work here as much I think it could. I mean they just made the guy thinner and removed his cross, what do you want me to say?
There is a giant book as well here, I remember another giant book in the Gardens of Apogee Cemetery, this one has The Lord's Prayer in it.
Ironically it looks better from behind, since it has this cross and design shaped with stones, but most people will never see this part of the monument.
There are some columbariums like this in the cemetery. What do you think? Personally, while I feel the execution falls a bit short (something about creating these shapes with their own special compartments can be pretty hard I imagine) I do like the idea. They remind me a bit of honeycombs, perhaps also with a different color and texture they would look a lot more sublime.
There was also a bigger chapel further into the cemetery which I liked. This I think mixes well the classical elements with the more modern aesthetic, it's weird, sure, but that's because it is unique.
I walked a lot through the park, but naturally not as much as with the Gardens of Apogee, with my time being shorter. I feel that the terrain here is a lot more flat than the one of Apogee, the one of Apooge was a lot more hilly and that helped to create this sense of depth, once you enter, you get fully lost on it, you can't see the end and there are some huge huge trees. I feel the flat landscape hurts a bit the scene of scale in this place. Does that mean I like very green and hilly cemeteries the most? I don't know, but that's what I felt. There are also roads for the cars but while the Gardens of Apogee give you a big green area to lose yourself between the dead, the roads are always hugging each area every several meters, so you never feel truly lost, the tomb areas feel also like small areas closer to the road rather than being part of a big big park. Even then though, there were some pretty nice places like that three and its friend that fell into the ditch. The papyrus were also very pretty. There were also a lot of workers taking take of the place, I like seeing workers always maintain a cemetery, the only thing is that I when I pass by I feel like a creep since naturally there is no one I have to see in those places.
I read a review in Google Maps saying that they found the tomb of their mother broken because they refused to do more payments and blamed it on the whole place being just a business. It's a bit sad, isn't it? Remember when we used to think back in our little towns that we would have our own grave and that grave would be given to us forever until our name worn out? Not handled by a company, but the local church, no rentals, no small columbariums, in a way, it feels like being at the infancy of society. I know taking care of a cemetery takes money and effort, everything has a price, even after death, somehow.
One thing I don't like of green field cemeteries is how they don't give you a clear path to walk on, so you eventually end up stepping over the graves hidden in the grass. Only paths like this formed by cars of passing by helped me step on without guilt.
I walked a lot, and saw a lot, but to be honest with you I was feeling still hurt by all the time and money I wasted that I started to feel alone. I said to myself "why do I review cemeteries for? What is the point? They are just cemeteries, there is really nothing to review in them, you put the death people there, and that's it, what is all the fuzz about?" I felt very sad and silly. To go to the limits of the city and spent a whole day on this, what was the point for?
I was about to leave, but then I saw a weird structure at the very back of the place. It looked like some sort of chapel. "I said, hmm, another chapel, well, might as well check it out." The time for the cemetery to close was approaching, there was nobody there aside the workers, I had no one to look for, I was afraid, I said, what if I get scolded? What if I get banned? What if they yell at me and kick me out? I was going further and further inside the cemetery, as far as my feet could take me, but my steps weighted a ton and I was anxious.
I looked at it and I said, man, what a weird ass chapel. See the tips? They have several arches but they are not the same length, it makes the structures look... disheveled, in a way. But it was a curious place, it looked almost like the naked ruins of a castle. The place was almost deserted, only the noise of a small well broke the silence of the place. I saw a man walking on the second floor, I tried to find the entrance, but I didn't find it, and that's when I realized, it wasn't a chapel. It was the columbarium.
Dude, you have no idea how happy it made me. A castle! A castle of columbariums! What a wonderful and beautiful idea! So far, everything in my day had been pure shit, absolute pure shit, and I was a bit disappointed with the cemetery because for how far I had to go I wanted to see more of it, and I didn't find it, but when I reached the castle of columbariums, I felt so happy, so damn happy! I nearly cried! My eyes got watery but then I said, "no wait, this is stupid", and I didn't cry.
Okay so maybe I was still feeling a little self aware to let my emotions be, but I was really enchanted with the place. It made all the shit I went through today, worth it. The buses, the traffic, the poop, the closed cemetery, the sadness, everything was redeemed when I found the columbarium. Think about it, the columbariums are usually the weakest part of a cemetery, you know, just a blank slate wall that makes the graves there feel less gorgeous, but this little place, this tiny itsy bitsy cemetery with its weird ass aesthetic and stuff made of the columbarium the strongest thing of the whole place.
Should the water be green? Well no matter, I like when classy stuff blends with decadence, it gives the sense of ruins, of time, it gives weight to the place and tells you, keeping this thing up is hard work, its always just a partial success, but that's what it makes it beautiful. When I walked in I saw the maintenance worker dressed in gray I had seen in the second floor, I smiled at him and I said hi and he answered in a very warm and sweet voice, he was probably 50 or 60 and probably tired. I thought he was a like a prince, a prince for the castle of the dead. I loved him deeply, I think I will make a poem about him and the columbarium later.
When I left I was in much better mood, since it was starting to rain and the night would fall soon, I decided I would try to go home sooner rather than later. But still, to think that at the very end of the map was such an easter egg! A castle! A ruined castle for the dead! See those flower pots? They have names too, but I doubt they have bodies in them, would you like your ashes to serve as part of a flowerpot when you die? I think it would be pretty, although naturally I would like something with a bit more scale.
On my way back, I saw this monument, I like the idea of Jesus with a spear, it gives him some character. There was also this beautiful poem at its side.
"Life and Death"
Life and death.
Death and life.
Life is latent,
And death is so unknown.
Oh, how beautiful life is,
Yet how dark death appears.
Are they all the same? Are they not sisters?
Are they not equally intriguing and beautiful?
Is it not the same, yet different,
To say "life and death"
Or "death and life"?
Life is the vibrant, powerful stage.
Death is the end of the lived stage.
Is there nothing that asks for death?
Is there nothing that suddenly vanishes,
A supreme body that disappears,
That shows life releasing,
That fills nothingness, that leaves life?
This is what happens, this is what remains.
And we, it seems, go on binding ourselves,
Yet we do not know if life is secretly a part of death,
Or if death forms part of life.
They remain unexplored, incomprehensible,
And perhaps in this way they can better understand each other:
Life and death,
Death and Life.
To end the review, I also saw this beautiful house in ruins at the side of the cemetery. I don't know if they are trying to keep it or build around it, but when I saw it I was ecstatic. When I see something as old as that I feel like I made a Bluetooth connection with the past, lol. It's like... I managed to get some signal, a trace of the past, of what was real once upon a time and now gives me flashes of the people who were happy way before I existed, it grounds me and makes me feel aware of the pass of time. It is such an incredible feeling.
There were so very pretty commemorative plaques hidden between the leaves on the walls that separated the cemetery from the old house. Ones were already worn out and long so gone, as if already closing their eyes.
The north of the city is a lot colder, when I arrived I was starting to freeze, but when I left, I didn't feel any cold at all.
8/10

“Oh, that's normal.”
(I imagine that having a vehicle that's been converted to the Omnitrix's biotech would lead to some awkward moments.)
Behold! What was originally intended as concept art for DoubleDue (Wine Willow), who is the first Pen Ten I've yet drawn. She was one of many who were displaced from their home dimension when Eon cut the BU off from the greater multiverse. Over the course of several years, Pen has lost hope of returning home and has taken to bouncing between dimensions out of need for resources and enrichment. She avoids locations and people that are too familiar, discomforted by the nostalgia, and has submerged herself into the dimension hopping community.
Per the nature of living astray in the multiverse, she has become accustomed to people's personalities and values changing on a dime (as different versions of the same person will be drastically different). She is, thus, untrusting but opportunistic and will present as cheery and amicable. The people who do know her are aware of the superficiality she tends to present and are fully aware that the only reason they get to be close to her is out of practicality or amusement. What fewer know is that she only allows other -ens near her if she absolute, often unseen control over the situation.
From her time trying to get home, she has mapped out various backdoor portals and even managed to find ways to get to dimensions that are generally considered unreachable. Pen was involved in the early efforts to take back territories and technology which Eon had stolen (which she had hoped would get herself home).
When that failed, repeatedly, she took to the slightly less direct, less risky position of a medic. This way she could be close to the fighting, learn about progress, and stock up on resources (such as biotech and downloadable skills). During this time, she got a foothold in a multitude of others' lives and it is how she has managed to remain so connected while also not being in a network. She intentionally caught the Redwood strain of the Vulpimancer transfer factor after having decided it was her best option. This means she has electromagnetic perception, thermoperception, can manipulate magnetism close to her skin (for climbing), and can leave pheromone trails (though that wasn’t relevant to her).
Her pre-Wreckoning disposition was basically canon Ben. Immediately after displacement, she entered a state of urgency similar to Ben in Alien Force (becoming Serious and Spicy). So as to preserve her sanity, she has intentionally swung back to an approximation of her old self, albeit with a quietly predacious and territorial edge. She has stopped feeling loneliness but her lack of true connection is one of the biggest contributors to her state of mind.
Pen now works with Hunters as a part time medic. She does not own a real ID or certificate given her technical lack of citizenship. When confronted by this (such as when pulled over or otherwise confronted by police) she uses guile, pale person privilege, and liberal amounts of persuasion (magic, violence) to be left be.
She has refused to move to any of the camps where other displaced -ens live, first claiming that she didn’t want to tie herself down p when she ‘knew’ she could find a way home. Her reason has eventually become that she won’t go because she would rather live free, under the sky, rather than down in a cave.
DoubleDue is a walking trove of lost media, nicknacks, and forbidden knowledge. She can recount in detail every shortcut and hack the System still has in place, can bypass the drawbacks of backdoor portals, and can even open a few of her own (if the situation allows). She is also not particularly choosy about what she says to who, allowing unfiltered outpours of stories and unwelcome truths to anyone who prompts her. While it is perfectly normal for seasoned dimension hoppers to collect magical tools and alien technology as part of safe travel through portals, most don’t have quite such an expansive (or well researched) arsenal.
She makes her own razz (false flesh) and other biotech out of her motorhome, which is the reason she can house so many items in the first place. Her abdomen and arms are lined with the squishy, fairly unnoticeable implants of inventories.
(Note: Their full first name is “Penelope” and I am undecided on their pronouns but am leaning towards she/her. Her name is unusual because all -ens originating from the BU territories have the given names of Ben, Ren, Jen, Sphen, or Den.

As they say, Fuck it, we ball.
Last time we saw into our future, I told you the Tale of Tasha. But the thing is, I never finished the timeline. I've yet to tell you about the final age of humanity. The Omni Age. First, I'll tell you how it began.
Warp travel works by warping space. So, to use the rubber sheet metaphor, when you stretch a rubber sheet for a while, it permanently deforms. This manifested in the universe as stretches in space where you would go faster than if you didn't go through there. For our purposes, we'll call them Cracks. Cracks started forming late in the High Space Age, more specifically the routes where hauler ships went most often. Scientists quickly learned that these Cracks were formed by warp travel, and they decided to do an experiment. If extended warp travel permanently deforms spacetime, then what happens when these Cracks get too deep? I'll say what happens, it makes a hole in the rubber sheet that is spacetime. Scientists only found it out after 50 years, and that is because they saw it happen. They made a hole. It wasn't like a black hole, nor was it like a white hole. There was no singularity to speak of. It was more like a portal than anything we've seen thus far. So somebody threw a camera in there to see what there was. Suprisingly, the camera could still send video. And that was the first case of Exposure to True OmniSpace Syndrome, or ETOSS for short. I'll tell you the symptoms after I tell you what an "omnispace" even is, let alone why exposure to it's true form is a plague.
Little did they know, these scientists were the first to discover Omnispace. Now, I have to clarify a few things first.
This world is in a multiverse. It's full of bubble universes, where each universe is a bubble in an infinite* sea of them. *omnispace may seem infinite, but it's actually finite, albeit bigger than human comprehension.
In omnispace, the laws of physics are actually a placebo, so if you think that e=mc^3, then it will be that way in some sort of radius (this is also malleuable via the placebo).
If you see omnispace without a placebo applied, like through a camera, then you will get ETOSS.
Now let's go over the symptoms of ETOSS. When you see omnispace without a placebo applied, it transfers to you. It then puts you into a coma. During this coma, brainscans reveal that the fear and confusion parts of the brain are the most stimulated. It's a game of chance if you survive this coma. Those that do survive (which are only 40% of those infected), often kill themselves shortly after. Do NOT ask those patients why, as that's another mode of transmission for the plague. If intercepted in time (or if they don't even try to kill themselves), therapy can and will help with their condition. Those infected, sadly, will never fully recover, and may even go into suicidal relapses.
For a hundreds of years, **Omnispace** was the final frontier. People colonized hundreds of universes, and all was good. Hell, someone named Sheeana Dubois discovered a more potent source of energy than even antimatter factories. (It'll get it's own post).
But then people started to run out of room. There was still thousands of universes out there, but none of them were habitable. So they built omnispace stations. And kept building them. This is when the age splits. We now enter the Late Omni Age, defined by humans losing their humanity, and the grand city of Omnitropolis (please give name suggestions I know it's a bad name and that's why it needs to be changed). For sixty-five million years, humanity kept building up this grand city. They even destroyed universes to make room for it.
Little by little, humans forgot about the Placebo, because they made a device to keep physics in place. It was derived from other humans, who were bred (and modified) to be constantly thinking about our laws of physics. After just a couple of centuries, it could think of nothing else. And after a couple thousand years, nobody even **knew** that it was once a person. It could only be thought of as a "physics anchor".
Unmodified humanity changed too. Or maybe I should put that "unmodified" in quotes, to show that they were modified also. These humans knew that evolution would change them, so they did all they could to stay the same. They did plastic surgeries and GMO's galore, yet they still changed. They would become, uncanny to us today. Which is why their scientific name (by me) is Homo Sapiens Homunculus. It is that way because they tried so hard to retain their humanity, that they lost it near entirely. They look like what a shapeshifter from andromeda (the galaxy) would imagine humans to look like.
I'll talk about the end of humanity later, as this post was written in the course of >2 hours, and I'm tired of it. Questions are appreciated though! Please, I want to talk about it more.

Spoiler!
Another thing from the SotLK rewrite because that’s the biggest Winx WIP I got at the moment!
I’ve been trying to figure out how to make Obsidian work. In my understanding, Obsidian is a Pocket Dimension, mostly inhabitable, that was once used as a prison where people from all over the Magic Dimension would send the most powerful evil sorcerers. They would usually get thrown in there without food, water or any other means to survive, and since resources were lacking, it was anarchy.
Magic is like a living entity and it needs its balance, just like an ecosystem. Eventually, negative energy hoarded and it began to consume Obsidian from within, corrupting its captives. Accessing it became increasingly dangerous.
One day, a group of various sorcerers (I use sorcerer to refer to magic people in general, that would be witches, fairies, wizards, etc.) who’d been imprisoned tried to break free, and stopping them required the help of fairies, witches, wizards and mages from all around the Dimension. They agreed entering Obsidian was far too dangerous, but sending more prisoners was out of the question. The portal was sealed off and Obsidian laid unforgotten for some time.
It was Zenith and Andros, three centuries later, who decided to reclaim it. Their soldiers went in and never came back. Some prisoners escaped, but this time it was easier to contain them. At the time, the Interplanetary Accords (i.e. a joint force between all of the planets of the Magic Dimension, similar to ONU) had not yet been devised and therefore no planet could intervene without creating political tension. Espero in particular was furious; the portal leading to Obsidian was transferred to Espero and since then its trespassing has been forbidden by the Council (Espero is a Republic).
Upon learning Oritel and Marion are stuck in Obsidian, Bloom, the Winx and the Specialists can’t go there straight away. Saladin is able to pull a few strings thanks to his connections, both because his husband, Coriander (an OC ofc), is a diplomat, and because after Domino was destroyed, the remaining members of the Company of Light were regarded as some sorts of heroes because of their direct involvement in the war. Hagen was obsessed with looking for Marion and Oritel while Griffin was torn between guilt and a sentiment of scorn towards royalty, so it was mostly up to Saladin and Faragonda.
Anyway, both thanks to Saladin and to the fact that, having basically saved the Magic Dimension three times, the Winx have become quite important, the Council agrees.
During the meeting, Bloom is constantly being referred to as Princess and it’s an unsettling feeling for her. Having spent some time close to royalty in Solaria and in Eraklyon, it’s not the first time she’s addressed as such, but never to such a degree. The Council eventually agrees to let Bloom, alongside the rest of the Winx and the Specialists, go, but she can’t shake the feeling that not everyone is happy with the eventuality that she could succeed in her rescue mission. For political reasons, mostly. The sudden disappearance of Domino has created a political and economical imbalance in the Dimension which wasn’t always easy to overcome and the Council fears that bringing back a whole population may strike a similar reaction.
(Generally speaking, the implications of Bloom being royalty and Domino suddenly popping out of nowhere after almost two decades are an interesting topic to address and I have a lot built around that that I hope I can convey properly.)
#sotlk rewrite#winx club#idk if this counts as worldbuilding honestly#but sotlk has A LOT of problems of continuity and plot holes that need to be addressed imho#ask#winx headcanons

16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?
HO BOY UHHHHHHHH HOLD ON,,,,It's something like uhhh 25 different ideas.
I think the one that I'm most likely to spin is gonna be this hc x portal au I've been spinning w @made-nondescript - Kind of spoilers for Portal 1 and 2 if you haven't played those ahead. Grian takes on the role of Chell, Scar takes on GlaDos, and Mumbo takes on Wheatley - though the fanfiction would mostly take place post portal 2, with Grian re-entering Aperture [Or, in this world, ConCorp] once he realizes that there's nothing for him on the surface. Scar is testing android body transfers for himself, being built by Mumbo [TLDR, The ending of Portal 2 would be different in this because Scar and GlaDos are two Very Different Kinds of Antag turned Morally Grey Narrative Foil] - and the two of them find Grian wandering around and basically it would be a sort of like. They're trying to clean up the mess that is the bowels of Concorp [And also, find Cub, who would be another AI construct like GlaDos/Scar, who was left down inside the Concorp bowels - a lot of things would change] while Scar and Mumbo both come to terms with feeling human emotions, specifically regarding their feelings for Grian, and have to also deal with the fact that, you know, Grian is Human and Needs to be Cared For and is Probably Feeling A Lot Of Emotions regarding the Apocalypse. So. You know. I'm rotating it a normal amount.
53. How do you spend your time when it comes to fanfiction? Are you primarily a fic reader, writer, or a perfect 50/50 split of both?
Definitely both, though I wouldn't say I'm a 50/50 split and more like a pendulum swinging back and forth. Sometimes it swings higher into reader, sometimes it swings higher into writer, it just depends.
74. You’ve posted a fic anonymously. How would someone be able to guess that you’d written it?
Dearest Beloved Mutual Em-Mermaid are you attempting to cheat an answer out of me because of the Vault Valentines Day Fics????? I am scandalized. But also the answer is uh. Good Luck >:) I taught myself to write by reading fanfiction for fandoms that I wasn't in [Specifically TMNT] and copying the structure of the fic authors for a different fandom. So uh. You know. I am like a chameleon.
Btw, dear reader who is not Beloved Mutual Em-Mermaid, if you don't know what's going on, a few of the writers in the vault [ @sparksnevadas, me, @atherix, and @braxiatel] all wrote valentines day fics for each other and decided to post them anonymously one week at a time and make our readers guess who wrote them. You can find fic 1 here, fic 2 here, and fic 3 here. Fic 4 comes out next tuesday! As of right now, 2/28, you can still vote on who you think wrote fic #3, and then we're revealing who did what on White Day - as a bonus, that's also when we're revealing to each other who got who for our secret santa-y thing.
Besides, how do you know I've posted? It's a 1/4 chance 👀👀
Get to know your fic writer!

12/26/2022 CFB Transfer Portal Update #2
Since my last post, 11 of the players that I discussed have made their commitments. In this blog post, I am going to cover the choices these student-athletes made and their potential fit with new programs.
The once five-star prospect will look to take over as the starting Quarterback for the Purdue Boilermakers after Transferring from Texas where he was the backup to Quinn Ewers. This could prove to be a good move for Card because He was already a backup at Texas and next year will have another five-star top-ranked quarterback joining the room to bring even more competition. He joins a system with much less competition at Purdue where last year's starter in Aidan O'Connell is leaving for the NFL draft.
Shedeur Sanders did exactly as most thought he would which was to follow his dad to Colorado. Shedeur will step on campus as the immediate starting QB and be a share to the face of the program with his father, Deion, and teammate, Travis Hunter. He also is a big asset to future recruiting for the Boulder program as he can message players and talk with other athletes in grace periods when his father is not allowed by the NCAA to recruit.
After seeing Oregon State Quarterback Chance Nolan enter the transfer portal earlier in December the program is bringing in D.J. Uiagalelei to compete with last year's starter, Ben Gulbranson. This can be a fresh start for D.J. after a shakey 2 years of starting at Clemson. His brother recently committed to the University of Oregon so they will be able to play each other every year in the Civil-War rivalry game.
LJ Johnson will look to prove why he was so highly touted coming out of high school and take over as the lead back at SMU which had run by committee backfield last season where 5 different running backs split a majority of the workload. In my opinion, this can go either way for LJ. With so many capable runningbacks in one room, it will be hard to steal all of the reps and be a clear-cut #1 on the team. With that being said, if 5 running backs shared the majority of touches last year then Johnson has the potential to show the coaching staff that he is their do it all back and can perform the same capabilities as some or all of the other running backs at SMU.
RaRa Thomas committing to Georgia is huge for the Bulldogs as they add even more weapons to their already #1 ranked team in the country. With Stetson Bennett running out of eligibility and leaving for the NFL before next season, it is unclear who will be the QB throwing RaRa balls in 2023. If Georgia finds a ready-to-win QB for next season, they and RaRa are going to be a force to be reckoned with in CFB.
Ajani Cornelius committed to the University of Oregon where he will most likely make an immediate impact starting at either the left or right tackle position. This was a huge get for Oregon as they look to protect their returning starter at QB, Bo Nix, who was on the fence about going pro or returning for his final season of eligibility. This also brings a lot more national attention to Ajani that he wasn't necessarily getting at Rhode Island.
Amari Kight found a new home at the University of Central Florida where and will hope to shine as one of their best lineman in order to boost his draft stock in his final season of eligibility. The Big bodied tackle the frame and mobility that the NFL loves.
Braden Fiske decided to go with the East coast and commit to Florida State rather than the likes of USC on the West. The massive interior defensive lineman will look to not only prove that he can compete against the best playrs in a power-5 conference but will also hope to gain attention from NFL scouts.
Tunmise Adeleye is leaving the heat of college station Texas for the shivering cold of East lasing Miching to join the Michigan State Spartans. This move makes sense for Adeleye because he in joining a much more run-heavy conference in the BIG10 as compared to the SEC. This will allow Tunmise to display his run-stuffing abilities as there will be far more opportunities.
Travis Hunter decided to follow his head coach and top hall-of-fame cornerback, Deion Sanders to Colorado. Travis will fit right back into Coach Sander's system where he played on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball last season for Jackson State University.
Tony Grimes decided to join the Texas A&M Aggies who have seen the departure of 4 defensive backs through the transfer portal in just this past month. Grimes will make an immediate impact at corner as there isn't much competition for his spot.
Thank you for reading my post that covered all of the now-committed players from the transfer portal who I talked about in my last blog. In the near future, I will post my update #3 and talk about programs that have been the most successful in replenishing their teams with talent from the CFB transfer portal.

Stop I love cats ntm now Aaliyah has one too. But interesting I was hearing things about her transferring also having to do with him and her being less serious about basketball but I thought they were just being shady
oh wow, I didn’t see any of that but he is from Maryland… she obviously didn’t know what coaches would reach out once she entered the transfer portal, but I hope that that’s not the reason she decided to go there

Look, hon. It is the 2024 GOP platform!
If Vance had any stones--much less if he were a faithful Catholic--he would clearly, firmly and publicly state that he is opposed to IVF, notwithstanding what The Golden Golem Formerly From Gotham says.
Look folks, CATHOLICS CANNOT SUPPORT IVF. I know there are lots and lots of arguments being made right now that “Harris is worse than Trump” and “at least Trump wants more babies” but I am going to say it louder this time for the people in the back: IVF is INTRINSICALLY EVIL and Catholics cannot support this. At all. First, gametes (that would be sperm and egg for those whose high school biology class was in the distant past) are obtained illicitly. Men are given a cup and sent to a room filled with porn in order to obtain their sperm. I’m sorry to be blunt but this reality seems lost on people when words like “self abuse” are used to describe the process. So let’s get real for a minute: the future father is sent to a room in an IVF clinic to view porn and masturbate. The mothers are pumped full of exogenous hormones to stimulate their ovaries into HYPERovulation so that 20+ eggs can be retrieved. After the two gametes are obtained, lab techs get busy combining them in a Petri dish. This actively creates teeny tiny human beings without the unitive & procreative aspect of the marital embrace. Then, these tiny people are screened for suitablity and the undesirable ones are destroyed (this is the first point in the process where humans are murdered). Then, mom is again pumped full of exogenous hormones to prepare her uterus to be a hospitable place for an embryo to implant. During the implantation process, where the lab-created humans are transferred to the woman’s uterus in hopes of achieving pregnancy, many of the embryos will NOT survive. This is point number 2 where death of human beings occurs. Once a woman becomes pregnant (notice I didn’t say “conceives” because the conception already happened….in the lab), the remaining embryos are cryogenically stored for future use. This means they’re frozen. If the woman becomes pregnant with more than one embryo, she is offered the opportunity for “selective reduction” which is a surgical abortion procedure to cull the number of unborn children in the womb to her desired number. This is point number 3 where death enters into the process. After a baby is born (or miscarried as the failure rate of IVF pregnancies is very high), the parents may opt to thaw their frozen embryos and try again. Many of these unborn children do not survive the thawing process. This is death portal number 4. If they are successfully thawed, then they are subjected to another intrauterine transfer procedure, which, as we said above has a high mortality rate for remaining embryos. If the couple decides not to have any more children, the embryos can either be:
1. Destroyed. This is a deliberate destruction of human life. 2. Indefinitely frozen. It is estimated that right now in the United States there are more than 1.5 million embryonic human beings in cryogenic preservation tanks. 3. Sold to the biotech industry to be used for research and development of medical treatments and/or medical experimentation.
It has been said that only 7% of created embryos actually result in a live birth, and that anywhere between 15 & 30 embryos are destroyed for every baby born via this technology. This is just an outline of the process of IVF. This does not take into account how this technology is being used to produce children for single women who want to be single mothers as well as the LGTBQ+ alphabet people. After reading this, does this process sound like something a Catholic can square with their conscience? I hope not, because as I said the entire thing, from start to finish, is intrinsically evil. The GOP has made it very clear that they not only want access to IVF to be protected, but they want YOU to pay for it by requiring health insurance plans to provide coverage for it. The mental gymnastics from the MAGA Catholics who want to defend Trump on this is really something to behold. There is zero justification for this. IVF is not pro-life, even if the desired end result is a child. The ends do not justify the means and we can’t commit grave evil to achieve good. Nope. Sadly, there is no pro-life ticket this November. I won’t support either candidate; in the end, I’d rather lose an election than lose my soul.

The 🧠 mind is a funny thing.
I was placed on one of those dreaded hospital ventilators, pumped full of meds, during the height of when hospitals were calling EVERYTHING 😷 corona virus, even if NOT.
1) Doctors put me in a forced diabetic sedation/COMA, which lasted 3 weeks.
2) I was diagnosed with pneumonia, during my stay.
⏰ While IN the ordeal, in a altered state influenced partially by drugs that 🩺 hospital staff were giving me, I experienced NUMBERS of alarming out-of-body travels, one specifically to 🍊 Florida.
I was shown entry portals, where 👺 evil spirits were 🆓 to enter and exit 🌎 Earth.
