I’m gonna compile a list of UTDR/UTMV artists to avoid, because I am sick and tired of finding an artist I like, but then discovering that they’re proship, or glorify/romanticize harmful things, or use slurs they can’t reclaim, or defend other bad people; the list of reasons goes on and on.

If you joined us before November 2022 and predominantly post on web, you will be familiar with the two post editors—the legacy editor and the “new” web editor (formerly known as the “Beta editor”).

Beginning May 15, we’ll gradually be working to remove the legacy editor as an option for creating new posts. New posts created on web will be created in the new web editor. We hope to complete this change by July 15. 

This change only affects accounts created before November 2022. Newer accounts already default to the new web editor.

This will not affect posting on the apps because we switched to this new editor on the apps about four years ago. If you use the apps, you’ve been using the new editor all this time!

This will not affect what you can include in a post, only how you get there: You can still include all the different types of media in a post, only now, you’ll do that via the new web editor’s content blocks instead of selecting a post type from the post type bar at the top of your dash. So, if you’re halfway through a text post, and you decide that what this post really needs is your pet reptile, then click on the little red image icon in the post editor, select an image, and voil��. OBX SEASON 4.2 SPOILER!

I’ve already seen a couple posts about this, but I’m surprised that I’ve already seen so much of it despite it only being out for like, 12 hours…

DO NOT HATE ON RUDY!

We, as fans, have NO idea what happened on set. Could the rumor of Rudy wanting to leave be the reason for his character’s death? Absolutely possible. Could the writers just be pulling some basic teen drama shit be the reason? Also absolutely possible.

I’ve scrolled through maybe 10 posts since finishing the season, and I’ve already seen so much hate for Rudy and his girlfriend. Elaine got so much hate because of jealous fans since the beginning and that’s such bullshit. She’s a real person who, like so many in the world, met at a nice guy at work and started dating him. And as someone who’s followed the show & cast since pretty much the beginning, I’ve seen nothing but pure happiness between them.

I can easily say that the OBX fandom is one of the most toxic ones I’ve been a part of. I know there’s good people out there, but I’ve seen with my own eyes too many fans that are spewing nothing but hate and negativity. There’s too many examples of celebrities being lost to substance abuse and self harm because of their so called fans.

If it turns out Rudy did want to leave and that lead to JJ’s death? I can’t and won’t blame him, not after seeing this same cycle of hate thrown at someone who is just doing their job.

You want to be mad at about JJ dying? Fine. I’m angry. I’m sad and frustrated and betrayed. I wish I could go back to the silly little boat show I knew in season one. He was my comfort character, like so many of you. But that’s where this stops. It’s a TV series that we can pretend ended with one or two or three seasons, we can pretend he pulled some JJ move and knocked the knife out of Groff’s hands, and the Pogues are off to try and find a buyer for the crown. We can pretend that the crown does grant a wish and JJ got magicked back to life. I don’t care. Just leave Rudy and Elaine and Madison and the entirety of the cast the frick out of it.

I need more content about Chuuya. like, Soukoku is the bsd couple with more works on Ao3, the most loved of the whole fandom, there are over 20 thousand fanfictions. there are tons of edits and AMV about him on tiktok and youtube, tons of x reader and fanarts. but it's (almost) always the sweet and a little dumb Chuuya.

Chuuya who's in love with Dazai and is begging him not to leave, who's mad at him for leaving the fricking mafia and "abandoning him", who's crying about being the second choice for everyone (fuck that, especially the "kouyou chose kyouka over chuuya"- you're telling me she chose to protect a 14ys girl over a 22ys man who's a mafia executive? oh sorry she should have left the child alone my bad), who is constantly manipulated by Dazai and betrayed (and content like this is made by people who love Dazai but don't understand him one bit- like yeah he manipulated the Sheep into betraying Chuuya but the Sheep were fucking assholes who didn't deserve Chuuya, and Dazai treated him fucking better than them- don't let me get started ab them or I'll never stop), feminized Chuuya, short and skinny Chuuya who likes to be the little spoon cause Dazai is the big strong man, lonely Chuuya who doesn't have anyone and basically dumb Chuuya who doesn't understand Dazai and cries to his sleep ab him.

fuck no, and I've been reposting every post that talks ab this. we want more Stormbringer Chuuya, and we don't have him 'cause not everyone has access to the novel or wants to read it. but Stormbringer is my Bible and should be everyone's.

We want more 15 years old Chuuya who carried on his shoulder a whole organization, the same organization that treated him like a damned dog, who got betrayed by the people he was sacrificing himself for the moment he tried to do something for himself, who was tricked into joining the Port Mafia (an organization he hated), who's easily read and manipulated and is aware of it, who never gave up on his humanity and worked hard and became important and strong for his new organization in a year as a teenager, who was able to made Dazai survive, giving him some sort of will to live, after like days of knowing him.

We want constantly dehumanized 16 Chuuya that got tortured for hours, that found out about his terrible origins and past, who sacrificed fondamental information about himself to save Yokohama, that almost got himself killed protecting the same person who betrayed him and fought his "brother" in order to do so, that lose the friends he called family and the only chance he had to have a life outside the mafia. Desperate because of his family's death Chuuya, in his painful corrupted form Chuuya, putting his life in Dazai's hands Chuuya, the one who beated the King of Assassins Chuuya, the one who was able to destroy an entire organization with his partner Chuuya. Port Mafia Executive Chuuya, who became who he was because of himself and with Dazai's help, who was able to become stronger even without him. Chuuya who suffered because of Dazai's deflection but understood it.

22 Chuuya who met his ex-partner after four years, stronger than how Dazai remembered him and still able to surprise (Dazai's "how fast!" when Chuuya punched him was hilarious and empowering, especially after his "I know all your moves" talk- and no, we "heard" his thoughts, so it wasn't an act stop saying that he had predicted that too when chuuya's like one of the only ppl able to surprise him) one of the smartest people in their country, who made sure things didn't change between them and made said smart and manipulative man cry from laughing over his damned rich girl impression. Chuuya who is the best martial artist and probably strongest ability user (Q is a child, and his "fight" with Steinbeck said a lot about his strength- crazy yes, but Chuuya could still beat almost everyone even without his ability) in the mafia, who could probably smash a wall with and without For The Tainted Sorrow. The Chuuya who's able to survive in a world surrounded by geniuses who constantly try to manipulate him (Dazai's manipulation is different than Fyodor's shut up), and able to be one of the most influential man in Yokohama without being a freaking genius.

Chuuya who has one of the best character developments I've ever read. Chuuya who has about him a lot of information (more than anyone else, we know you love him Asagiri) (please don't love him the way you loved Odasaku) and still gets mischaracterized again and again. this is an infodump ab what Chuuya means to me.

I noticed something about this scene. Yes, the Collector got the idea of kindness and forgiveness from Luz, and he is so excited to show her how well he learned, but that’s not the only reason he wants to forgive Belos.

Belos was his only friend for 400 years.

We know how manipulative Belos is, he has the ability to know exactly how to tell people what they want to hear, so the Collector probably ADORED Belos during all of their time in the mirror. In the Collector’s eyes, Belos was truly their friend. Sure, he lied in the end, sure he betrayed them, but in their mind Belos’s betrayal probably felt the same as King’s betrayal. Belos is probably just lonely too.

And Luz is Goddamniting so hard because Belos is going to destroy this child and it’s all because she had to go and teach him the power of love.

They are JUST SO DAMN PROUD OF THEMSELF! They honestly thought they fixed it and They are so happy! Now that they learned the secret of being a friend, they can show it to Belos and they can be friends again. Even better, his old best friend and his new best friends can all be friends together and it’s going to be great!

He. Is. Just. So. Happy.

So when Belos attacks and Luz has to save them, they are genuinely confused. It doesn’t make sense. They did exactly what Luz told them, so why didn’t it work? And how does Luz react?

Luz tells him that he did good. Because she is genuinely proud of him. He did the worst thing he could possibly do in that situation, he made a mistake that put everyone in danger, but she IS proud of him. She is so proud he heard her lesson and she is going to protect that lesson to her dying breath.

He is so rattled and confused right now, and her number one priority is to comfort him and reinforce that he did the right thing, even if it was in the wrong situation. She comforts him and tells him that it’s just a little complicated. She is just so gentle and so loving, and my heart can’t handle it!

HERE is the first doodle i did when i wanted to make Jaxston. i was inspired by someone's fnaf fanart and really liked the spiraling words and limited palette and went "Y'know I've really been wanting to make a Bill's vessel oc..."

Made on ms paint ! i think its fun bc he is no longer Bill's vessel at all and never is at this point in me creating his lore and stuff (idk yet im always so indecisive about fandom oc lore lmao) lol !

then when i was drawing it i was not in the mood to do any fullbodies bc i had JUST finished day 1, which took longer than i wanted so i just. kept it simple! aka i sketched the full body, hated it and then deleted the entire lower half of the body lmao

i didnt do any sketch past this lol, i really liked how it felt and just kinda kept it. i tried lineart, but i couldnt get it to fit the vibe the og sketch had so i decided not to ^_^

You have no idea how much i HATE that netflix decided to make another unwanted season for Umbrella Academy which was in my opinion (and many others) was finished. The third season wasn't even that good for sucks sake!!! And they like "Sure, lets make another one, with no plot and not even many fans who wants it. Also if we're at it, lets murder the best characters personality for good measure, while paying a shit load of money for the production. Why not?" OH MY GODDD

And also making Bridgerton and Emily in paris and whatnot the main event, and making unnecessary seasons, WHILE the BEST FUCKING SERIES NETFLIX EVER BIRTHED is getting sacked for god knows why?? LOCKWOOD AND CO HELLO??!!

Lockwood and co already has 5 books they can use. The miraculously managed to find amazing actors, who did their job FUCKING PERFECTLY. It has a huge fandom, we couldn't get enough of them, and would totally get the money that netflix strive for.

Fuck Umbrella academy (one of my fave series btw, so you can have an idea of how mad I am), fuck stranger things (same here, but I don't want to see another season), suck it emily in paris, and all the series that only needed 3 seasons. Give Shadow and bone and Lockwood and co another chance, and I KNOW that it will not disappoint. The fans will not disappoint. This is what I want for christmas.

One of the things I hate about mdzs fandom is them actually believe wwx has adhd, cuz as a person who has adhd, no he fricking doesn't. And they talk about it like it's actually canon too!!?? Headcanon whatever you want but actually believing it? That's just projection. I get some people just want to make characters more relatable (in the process they make the character so much boring, uninteresting and dumbs it down too ugh)but wei wuxian doesn't have adhd and it's frustrating to always have people claim it. Just saw someone say "to understand wwx actions and behavior, you gotta understand adhd" and I am like No?? What are you talking about?? This fandom test my patience everyday istg 😭😭

I have adhd but I don't like it when people categorize any character that exhibit cheerful, bubbly personality as adhd coded or even the reasoning they give are totally out of context! Ugh it's so irritating!

What do you think this wangxian being adhd/autistic thing comes from?

I answered this once before but can’t find the ask now. I think the headcanon comes partly from people wanting feel represented by their favorite characters and partly by the memeification of neurodivergence in fandom where conditions (for lack of a better term) like autism and adhd are reduced down to simple caricatures that people consider “quirky” so they can paste them on to their “quirky” characters. A character who doesn’t like to speak? Well that’s an autistic trait! A character who speaks too much? Well that’s adhd! Meanwhile, autism and adhd are much more than that and aren’t just “character traits” to make the fictional character you’ve already flattened seem more interesting.
