I've written a lot of fics, and although I don't plan on ever publishing any of them, they are fun to illustrate. These sketches are from one of my favorites I've written--in order to solve a whodunnit within the team the mercs have to spill their guts about their worst secrets.

Okay in all seriousness this was really hard and in a good way. I really tried to push my rendering, my attempts at making a scene complex, my visual storytelling, my perspective abilities, all that junk. Originally my engie oc was supposed to be standing there but I just couldn’t get him to fit in so I scrapped it. Plus he’s blue team and this is the red engineers workshop.

Fun fact nothing is traced, not even that teleporter, I took the image of it off the wiki, got in a call with my friends, and spent 45 mins cursing out my existence while sketching it. There was also originally a full level two sentry where the scout bot was but I hated myself tryna draw it so I stopped because this is meant to be a fun excercise.

In the future, over a long long time, I intend to do the rest of the mercs rooms, and snipers van, just since engie is my fave I started here. Expect me to take a looong break before I do the next tho. This is exhausting to do. The medic in his office doesn’t count for this he was a test run to prove to myself I could do this.

-Smart boy, can make you stuff that helps with day to day activities which is helpful if you can't do certain things to having a disability or something

-Voice of an angel, will sing for you if you'd like. Can def sing you to sleep

Medic

-NERD, he's an adorable nerd! Let him ramble about his hyperfixations!

-Def a good pet owner, would kill someone if they don't take proper care of their pets

-Would make sure you take care of yourself, he's kinda like a dad that cares

-He's such a maniac. I can see him just secretly being up to no good all the time. And he's also very girlypop

Sniper

-Sweet, precious baby boy who can do no wrong. He strikes me as someone who listens to EVERYTHING when it comes to music. He ain't genrephobic

-Also a collector of weird things. Likes making bone jewlery. Bone boy

-I just love the concept of him being feral? This is probably the weirdest thing on the list. Like there's the golden retreiver boyfriend (Scout), and then there's the feral boyfriend (Sniper). Literally acts like a cat, hiding away from people, hissing when people that aren't you tries to touch him, will demand attention/affection from you, ect. I need to make a more detailed idea of a feral boyfriend so work with me plz

-He would absolutely let you wear his clothes, thinking about how adorable you look. He'd do the same with your clothes if they're big enough for his lanky body. You two swap jackets in the winter time so you guys always have a piece of each other when you two are busy and aren't able to see each other

Spy

-I know a running joke is that Spy is a smelly French asshole, but I really do think that he wears some of the nicest smelling cologne out there. Expensive af colonge, but damn, it's addicting

-Smarty pants. Not just anyone can be a spy, it takes quite a bit of intellect for it. And not to mentions he knows multiple languages? Love it, even if I hate the French language with a burning passion

-Him having a good taste in fashion? He's gotta know what he's doing by wearing suits all the time. Not only does he look fresh af, but people always look so good in a suit, especially when it fits them. But please also picture him dressed in a more romantic goth aesthetic plz, okay I'll stop now

-Is good at paying attention to even the littlest of details about his partners. Even if you're trying to be cryptic or subtle about things, he'll always find out. He's def a protective type too

most of these are pretty gimmicky on purpose, also i changed a cuple of stuff here and there

for the sake of the rp i designed these kill feeds (more or less inspired by those chat devices someone made for dsmp that one time) (it's a little primitive, but it only has to be functional)

there is a v.2 which has the form of a watch (you can see it on sniper, spy and engie) (it also has a mode where instead of sending notifications it vibrates, thought it would be fun for sneaking) (maybe it even has a walke talkie function, yk, for team comms) (i didn't draw but it's all fictional anyway)

i kept some on my hcs in these ddesigns too, like engi's and Pyro's special goggles and tails and

i also removed Medic's lab coat because... well... he doesn't have it on...

i removed Sniper's facial hair too because i ended up hating it hfsgfe

for True Blu, i am very curious about the dynamics between RED team and their BLU counterparts, if you have any information to share? obv we know the sniper situation already but! it is very intriguing to hear about the situation between someone and their clone

the spies: hate each other. red spy thinks blu spy is a poor excuse of a knockoff because he has no enthusiasm for espionage, and red will deliberately find ways to be cruel to blu about it, including but not limited to mocking and finding every excuse to touch blu's neck scar

the demos: have a friendly rivalry! they clash often���red thinks it's fun that someone else has the eyelander, even if it is one that was exorcised by means of mass reproduction—and could've been drinking buddies if things weren't so complicated

the soldiers: also have a friendly rivalry, but it's more like red soldier trying to draw out the joy and patriotism from blu. they're playing together and funnily enough it is the most fun blu gets to have on a daily basis

the scouts: fucking despise each other in the way two yippy chihuahuas at the dog park snarl and foam at the mouth at the sight of one another. they kill the other in increasingly violent ways every time they see them, it's always a very visceral brawl between the two of them (no holding back, lots of biting and dirty tricks, just all out trying to claw each other's eyes out)(they both have a lot to unpack)

the medics: are on rocky ground. like with the spies, red medic is constantly badgering blu medic for his notes, his opinion on things, so on. blu is bemused by this psuedo friendliness and wants nothing to do with him

the heavies: are unsure of how to feel about one another. on one hand, red understands how hard it must be for blu to have no contact at all with his family. on the other hand, blu envies red for his easy connection with his medic

the engies: are also on rocky ground. red engie thinks so highly of himself and is often condescending towards blu, but is also secretly frustrated when blu does not match his energy, or when blu smiles at him with that warm, if not tolerating smile. given their roles on the team as backline support, they rarely see each other and will not seek one another out

the pyros: are the bestest of friends and frequently meet up on the field to trade bracelets, much like how people in the rave scene trade kandi. they still kill each other and each other's teammates though, it's just that there's no bad blood between them

oops, new build new Balor design. I've been going through this whole spectrum of "what is a Balor". We started off with "grapple Balor", moved to "Zheng with a good computer", sat around in "undecided" land for a while, then began messing around with "egalitarian buddy hack and slash". But as we've been playing, my Balor - Covetous Hunger - has become increasingly its own character in how much it 1) wants to put everything in its nanite cloud mouth and 2) how much it hates-loves-hates-loves its pilot and wear his skin like a suit. What do you do when your mech becomes a toxic hivemind hyper-fixated on doing evil?

This is a hack and slash build that's heavily reliant on a Lancaster to be its legs, but it's okay. Bonded 2, Houseguard 2, and Metahook are there to help, even if it means we're together till death do us part. HOR_OS System Upgrade 1 and OSIRIS-Class NHP give us a variety of hacking outcomes - if we land them, then we trigger Lesson of TTT for +1 accuracy and if we slow or impair them then Pankrati gives us another accuracy. If we use OSIRIS, then we DEAL FREE DAMAGE thanks Iconoclast! Executioner and Overpower Caliber help us do MORE DAMAGE TO MORE PEOPLE and armament redundancy helps us keep the whip if, somehow, structural damage is taken.

Also I think I forgot to post my Pilot's current appearance. I keep drawing him and going "huh, not enough damage".
