â ONE
Running your grandmotherâs bakery wasnât easy but it was a light in your life. She taught you tips and tricks of working the large industrial oven, every single one of her recipes, and wiping down the chalkboard to write the specials for the delicious treats.
She was charm personified; somehow able to convince pretty much every person that walked to the pastry shop to try at least one item. You were on the more quiet side, not insanely secluded but you werenât extroverted. Nice people cracked you open and next thing you knew it, you were shoving a donut into their palms to take home.
It was a bad habit.
It was a slow Thursday in November. You were sweeping the small area of seating, softly asking one of the usual college students that came if they needed anything else. You were just a few streets down from the community college so many people your age would come in for coffee and furiously type on their laptops.
Once you were told they were good for now, you excuse yourself back to behind the counter to adjust the display desserts. You were bent over when you heard the bell over the door echo within the space, shouting âwelcome inâ.
âIf you have any questions, just let me know. We have a daily special which is on the blackboard,â you stood back up with a slight grunt from the rush, brushing a few flyaways to kindly smile at the new customer. âToday we have buy one, get one donut free.â
Your eyes slightly widen at the⊠attractiveness of the customer. You adjust the neckline of your soft brown cable knit sweater to tug out your necklaces, plastering on a friendly smile.
âI actually came in because I was curious about the sign,â she trails off, tilting her head as she shoves her hands into the pockets of her jacket. âDo you actually just let people smell the food?â
You let out a soft chuckle as you nod. Your grandfather, one of the only men who had ever tolerated, made the sign for your grandmother the second she mentioned it to him. Now, in all its carved glory âFree Smells!â is hanging underneath the shop's main sign: Sweet Tooth Bakery + Cafe.
âYeah, my grandma thought itâd be a funny sign to draw people in. Obviously, we donât let them shove their nose into it or anything,â you shake your head, holding your hand out to the stranger. âBecause thatâs⊠unsanitary.â
The pink haired stranger nods with a soft chuckle, stepping back to check out the arrangement of treats in the display case. In that moment of silence, you, as discreetly as possible, check her out. She had on a navy blue cut off sleeve zip-up, a soft white tank top underneath and a pair of grey sweatpants hugging her lower half. Very simplistic outfit but she made it look good.
You think she just naturally looked good. If you stared for long enough, which you embarrassingly did so, you could see markings of ink on the side of her neck and following down the backs of her arms and the smallest etching on her cheek.
âAny suggestions on what to smell first?â She questions, curious eyes bouncing back up to you.
You hum to yourself as you, too, stagger your eyes from pastry to pastry to carefully choose which one you could have her smell.
âAre you a fan of blueberries?â You question with a beaming grin.
âUh, sure, yeah. Blueberries are good.â
âThen you have to take a whiff of the blueberry danish. Itâs one of my favorites.â You offer, pointing to the sweet treat.
The pink haired stranger leans forward, folding her bare arms across her chest. You, again, canât help your stares as you try to figure out what was exactly dotted into her pale skin. She nods with a shrug, looking at you with a kind smile.
âIâll give it a whiff, yeah,â she stepped forward so that the glass of the display case was the only obstacle between the two of you.
You can feel your face getting hot as you mutter a bright âokayâ to yourself. You bend over once again grab the metal tongs to pick out the danish to place on a ceramic plate. You place it on top of the display case, motioning for the stranger to give it a smell.
Still seeming a bit hesitant that you were playing a joke on her, she leans her face forward so that she is mere centimeters away from the pastry. She inhales a bit, letting out a long sigh as she leans back to look at you.
âShit, that smells amazing,â she praises the sweet aroma, nodding in satisfaction. âIâll take it.â
You blink at her before chuckling awkwardly.
âYou donât have to buy the ones you smell. I promise.â You reassure her as you attempt to put the danish back so that you can shove the cranberry-orange muffin in her face.
Sheâs quick to hold a palm out to stop you, shaking her head. A beautiful smile spreads on her lips, temporarily forgetting how eager you were to show her every single pastry on display.
âI want that one. I swear. Plus, my sisterâs going to rush me out of here if I take too long.â
A part of you was disappointed that she was so quick to purchase the first, yet incredibly delicious, treat. You selfishly wanted her to stay for as long as possible. Your grandmother would be on your ass for being so distracted by an attractive customer.
She would give you a clap on the back for making a sale, though.
âOh, okay. Did your sister want anything?â You offer, itching to find any way possible for her to stay just a bit longer.
The stranger hums to herself for a moment as she examines the rest of the delicious treats. You tilt your head as you grab a small brown paper bag to place the danish into, waiting patiently to see if she was going to pick another item.
To your delighted surprise, she nods as she points to a more simplistic pastry.
âI think this pink donut should be good,â she nods to show certainty.
You grasp onto the sweet treat to slide it into the bag with her danish, trying not to spill a lot of the sprinkles. You seal it closed with a custom sticker with the logo of the shop, typing up her total into the register. The stranger reaches into her sweatpants pocket to pull out her wallet.
âYour total is gonna be $7.89. Cash or card?â You question.
âCard.â
You watch her hand you a simple light blue credit card, grinning as you not-so-discreetly check out her full name on it. Her first name caught your attention. Violet. As you swipe her card, you clear your throat to work up the courage to give her a compliment.
âI love your name. Itâs pretty,â you say as you hand her back the card.
The stranger, now known as Violet, smiles small at your words. Her long fingers take the card from you as she slides it back into her wallet.
âThank you. My, uh, dad named me,â she grins at you.
âWell, he made a very good choice,â you hand her the bag as well, nodding as you try not to appear awkward. âAnything else I can get for you?â
Were you being weird?
âNo, no, Iâm good,â she chuckles as she crinkles the bag in her palms. âIâll see you around, yeah?â
You nod as you hand her own copy of the receipt, holding onto the half second of the tip of her fingers brushing against yours. You watch her turn her back and leave the shop, eyes never leaving her sculpted back profile. You huff at your behavior once the bell from above the door snaps you out of your small trance, shoving your copy of the receipt into its designated spot.
âSheâs cute,â you hear from behind you, causing you to jump and whip your head around.
Youâre met with your grandma grinning evilly at you, a little bit of flour smudged on her cheek from her baking in the back.
âGram,â you sigh as you shake your head, brushing away your loose hairs.
âIâm just saying, bug,â she walks up next to you to rub up and down your arm.
You blush at what she was insinuating. As much as you love your grandmother, she attempted to be your match maker like you were an introverted middle schooler. You were 22 for God's sake. You would make moves and flirt when you felt like it.
âDonât you have something in the oven?â You raise your eyebrows at her, hoping sheâd leave it alone.
âHey. I could fire you, you know,â your grandma pointed a finger in your face accusingly but her tone was light and a cheeky grin was on her face.
You roll your eyes playfully as you softly bump your hip with hers.
Everyday since Violet came in, you perk at the sound of the bell hoping to see that head of pink hair waltzing in again. Two excruciatingly long weeks pass before you see Violet again.
What was disappointing about seeing her today of all days was that you were working this shift with your 17 year old sister who was⊠less than thrilled to be working now; especially with you being her superior in a workplace. She, like most teenagers, was yearning to be more independent which meant constantly disregarding your instructions on what to do at work.
You were irritated beyond belief with her constantly arguing with you. You couldnât even really fully pay attention as Mila smacked your arm with the rag. When you saw her from outside the shop, this time around she came with company. You were in the midst of a bicker with her because she didnât wipe down a table like you had told her to when you saw Violet coming in with a little girl walking beside her.
You gasp at her childish antics, pinching her arm but then shushing her as you tight-lipped smile at Violet as she approaches the familiar display case. You try not to frown at the sight of her bandaged nose and small bruise sitting right on the apple of her cheek. Her outfit is similar from the last time you saw her except a simple oil-black hoodie with those same joggers. You even saw a bit of wrapped bandages on her hands peeking out from the sleeves.
Was she jumped or something?
âThere are only, like, two people here and theyâre sitting outside,â your sister whisper-shouts at you, plastering on a fake smile at the new customers. âHi! Welcome in.â
Violet glances at Mila when she straightens her back, placing a gentle hand on the back of the childâs back to guide her to the display of new and fresh treats for the day. She places her little hands on the glass as she very eagerly bounces on the soles of her worn in dark blue tennis shoes.
âHi! Violet, youâre back.â You turn to your sister and sneer quietly. âClean the tables. Now, please.â
Mila gives Violet a once-over and you a narrow glare as she grumbles a âfineâ as she rounds the corner to go and wipe down the crumb and dust filled tables.
âHey. You can call me Vi, by the way. I, uh, was with my sister for the day and she wanted to try this place. I gave her some of my danish and she went crazy.â Violet motioned to the child just a few feet below her, chuckling at her gazing hungrily at the sweets.
âWell, Vi, Iâm glad to hear,â you lean your head to the side to get a good look at her sister.
She had a wild head of short waves, a small gap in between her two front teeth. Her outfit made her ten times more adorable; a plain white Henley long sleeve with a pair of overalls. Her big hazel eyes stared at you patiently.
âHi, cutie. Do you see one that you like?â You question her with a friendly smile.
Her adorable face scrunches up in thought, stepping back to look at her choices. She turns her head to her older sister before pointing at a strawberry muffin and raising her hands to sign what you believe is ASL. You curse yourself for not knowing what she was telling the pink haired stranger.
âShe wants to smell the strawberry muffin,â Vi chuckles. âI told her about how you let me smell my danish first before buying it.â
âOkay, I can do that for you. Whatâs her name?â You question, hoping it didnât come off as offensive.
âIsha. She doesnât talk much,â Vi raised a bandaged hand to settle on her light brown waves on her head, ruffling the strands.
âWell, Miss Isha,â you focus your attention on her once again, watching her bounce on the balls on her feet with excitement. You grab your trusty metal tongs to grab the muffin and place it on a soft blue ceramic plate to set it down on the counter area of your register set-up for her to smell. âHere you go. Let me know if you want to smell anything else.â
Your heart grows tenfold as Vi quietly tells Isha to not shove her nose into the muffin, smiling at her sister as she hovers close to the pastry.
âIs she the one who ate the pink donut?â You turn your attention to Vi, raising your brows as you adjust your flyaways from your bubble braid.
Pretty blue eyes flickering to yours, her brows twitch as if she was shocked that you remembered such a minuscule detail.
âNo, that was my other sister,â she shakes her head. âIsha was actually very angry with me when I came home with no cupcakes or muffins for her so Iâm making it up to her.â
You watch her scrunch up her bruised bridge of her nose for a second as Isha signs something else to her. Vi playfully rolls her eyes with a sigh as she turns to you with another wince.
âCan she eat this now? She has an impatient appetite.â
You chuckle with a nod as you hand the plate to her, muttering a âcareful, sweetieâ to Isha who beams up at you. She scurries over to a small round table to hop up on the seat to divulge. Now that it was just you and Vi standing in front of each other.
âHey, are you okay?â You ask softly, eyes flicking to each injury on her gorgeous face.
Confused about your concern for her, her brows furrow for a moment. You watch her turn around to make sure Isha was all good, hounding down the muffin with crumbs falling from her mouth to the ground.
âOh, yeah,â Vi shook her head, waving at you off as she grins sweetly. âI work at a kick-boxing studio and some of the kids can get aggressive. Iâm okay, though, trust me. Iâve taken more than a few hits to the head.â
That explains the injuries and the bandaged hands. Of course, she was a kick-boxer. Her physique gave that away but what did you know? Isha was distracted with her muffin so you were able to converse with her, get to know her a little more so your gram would stop asking you if that cute pink haired girl came in again.
âReally? Where at?â You hum.
âItâs like fifteen minutes from here. Why? You want to come see kids beat me up?â She teases, folding her arms over her chest.
You hum with a nod, walking around the counter to place a napkin on the table so Isha could wipe her face to be rid of the sticky crumbs on her face. âYeah, thatâs exactly why. Because Iâm a masochist.â
An actual laugh left her plush lips as she shook her head, eyes following you as you face her now. If Gram could see you now. Well, she was probably watching you from the security cameras in the back room with an evil smile.
âYou know, I meant to ask. Do you make custom cakes?â Vi leans back to rest her lower back on the countertop where your register was, crossing her legs and shoving her hands into the pocket of her hoodie.
She really just looks like that, you thought to yourself.
âWe do, yeah. Is your birthday coming up?â You look at her with raised brows.
Vi shakes her head, pointing to the little girl behind you. âNo. Her birthday is next week and my family is throwing her a zoo themed birthday party.â
You awe out loud at the thought.
âThatâs so cute. Yeah, I canâ I mean, we can do that,â you shake your head as you correct yourself, hoping she didnât catch your desperate slip-up.
Isha stands up from her table, dusting off the crumbs from her overalls. She walks over to you to hand you the plate, signing âthank youâ to you. You pause for a moment before hesitantly signing back âyouâre welcomeâ slowly, not sure if you were doing it right. You knew the basics but werenât extremely educated on ASL. After today, though, you were determined to brush up on it.
Isha eyes brighten at you signing back to her. She turns to Vi with a smile so wide, you swore her cheeks would split open. She nods down at Isha, ruffling her hair once again as she reaches for her pocket to retrieve her wallet.
âShit, sorry, how much do I owe you for the muffin?â Vi shuffles through the bills in her wallet.
âNo, no. Youâre⊠good. Donât worry about it.â You wave her off, shaking your head.
Vi pauses before scoffing, attempting to shove the money into your palms. âIâm paying for the muffin.â
âSeriously. Itâs one muffin, Vi. Plus, a little early birthday present for Isha.â You shove the bills into her hands once again, gripping onto her hands to make sure she doesnât try to give them back.
Vi glances down at your gentle hands around hers. Reluctantly taking the money back, she takes the bills before shoving them back into the crease of her wallet. You try not to focus on how slightly bigger her hands were from yours; how surprisingly soft her knuckles were.
Isha seems to become impatient now with her elder sister, reaching up to tug on two of her fingers. Vi nods down to her, muttering a soft âokay, okayâ.
âThank you for that, by the way. And if it's not too much trouble for you, cupcake, can I get your number?â Vi questions as she takes Ishaâs hand in hers. âYou know, for any questions about what the cake should look like and what flavor it could be.â
Your brows furrow at her words before nodding, pursing your lips to repress the smile creeping onto your face. Cupcake. You like that nickname coming from her lips.
âRight! Yes, um,â you walk over to the counter to grab a sticky note and a pen to scribble down your personal number. âHere. Call or text me with all the information.â
You place the small yellow piece of paper into her palm that wasnât holding Ishaâs. She takes it in between her pointer and middle fingers, nodding with a confident smile.
âI will. See you, cupcake.â
âSee you, Vi. Bye, sweetheart,â you bend down ever so slightly to wave at Isha.
The adorable girl waves her free hand at you with a just as cute toothy smile on her face. You excused it as a sugar rush as they walk away from you, hand in hand as they leave the store. Vi turns her head to give you one more glance before Isha is tugging her down the sidewalk.
Mila angrily stormed up to you the second they left and raised her hand with the rag to smack you on the forearm. You gasp and snatch the weapon away from her, pointing a finger in her face.
âWhat the hell? Stop hitting me with this,â you sneer.
âIâm wiping down tables and youâre flirting? How the hell is that fair?â Mila quips back as she folds her arms in front of her chest.
âI wasnât flirting. I was taking a cake order, by the way, so you can stop whining.â You roll your eyes as you walk back around to the counter.
Mila sucks in a deep breath before shaking her head.
âReally? So what was that whole,â your sister cleared her throat, sucking in a deep breath. âGiving her your personal number when you couldâve just given her the store's number?â
You pause your movements of wiping down the counter from behind the register, thinking about it for a moment. You knew why. You just hated your sister being all in your business.
âOkay, what is it to you?â You get defensive. âI canât⊠make new friends?â
Mila merely snorts before rolling her eyes.
âSure. You definitely only want to be friends with her.â

Sweet Tea. â· Lando Norris
Pairing: Lando Norris x Reader
Summary: When Lando tries to find forgiveness after an argument through acts of service.
Word Count: 1.3k
Disclaimer/s: established rel, fluff, kinda angstâŠ. ish.
Veraâs Voice! Hi. this was fun to write :3 hope u enjoy mama ^_^ the lando oneshot grind doesnât stop.
The hum of the heating system filled the stillness of the apartment. It wasnât exactly peacefulâmore like tense, suffocating, and heavy.
You sat curled up on the couch, a blanket wrapped tightly around your shoulders, your phone glowing faintly in your hands. You scrolled aimlessly, not really reading anything, but it was better than thinking about the argument that had left you and Lando in this standoff.
From the corner of your eye, you saw him pacing between the living room and the kitchen. He wasnât saying anythingâhe hadnât since youâd gone quietâbut his restless movements said enough.
He hated silence, especially when it was because of you.
The fight hadnât started as anything serious, just a playful back-and-forth after a long day. But his teasing had crossed a line without him realizing it, and youâd snapped.
âYou donât need to be so dramatic about everything,â He said, half-laughing, when youâd voiced your frustrations about something that had been bothering you for days.
The words had stung, lodging themselves deep in your chest. You didnât know if it was the dismissive tone, the laughter, or just the stress of the week catching up to you, but youâd shut down completely after that.
No sarcastic comeback, no explanation, just cold, steely silence.
And Lando?
He hadnât done much to help himself. Instead of apologizing, heâd groaned, muttering, âOh, come on, donât do this,â as if your feelings were an inconvenience to him.
That was what had really sealed it.
So now you were here, refusing to meet his eyes, letting the silence stretch longer and longer.
From the kitchen came the faint clink of dishes. You glanced up briefly, noticing Lando hunched over the counter, his brows furrowed in concentration.
He was making something.
But what?
You couldnât quite tell.
You wanted to stay madâwanted him to feel the weight of how much his words had hurtâbut curiosity gnawed at you.
Lando wasnât exactly a chef, and him fumbling around in the kitchen was unusual.
A few minutes later, his footsteps padded softly toward you. He stopped just in front of the couch, hesitating before placing a small plate on the coffee table.
Beside it, a steaming mug of tea.
You looked down, your stomach tightening at the sight. It was your favorite treat, carefully prepared just the way you liked it.
The tea even seemed to have the right amount of honeyâhe mustâve measured it out because he always teased you for how sweet you liked it.
âHere,â Hr said quietly, his voice almost timid. âI, uh⊠I thought you might be hungry.â
You stared at the plate for a moment, then looked up at him. His hands were stuffed into the pockets of his hoodie, his lips pressed into a tight line.
âIâm sorry,â He added quickly, before you could say anything. âI was a complete ass earlier. I didnât mean to brush you off like thatâI wasnât thinking.â
You didnât say anything, though the sincerity in his voice made your chest ache. Instead, you reached for the mug, cradling it in your hands.
Lando shifted awkwardly, like he wasnât sure whether to stay or give you space.
After a moment, he sighed, running a hand through his messy curls. âI donât like seeing you upset. Especially when itâs my fault. I know I messed up, but I hate thisââ He gestured vaguely between the two of you, ââthis cold shoulder thing. Can we please talk?â
You finally set the mug back down, fixing him with a pointed look. âTalk? Like how we talked earlier and you laughed at me?â
He winced, guilt flashing across his face. âI didnât mean it like that. I thought I was being funny, but I wasnât. I didnât realize how much it was bothering you. Thatâs on me.â
âYou made me feel stupid for being upset,â You said quietly, the words spilling out before you could stop them. âLike I was overreacting.â
His expression softened, and he dropped onto the couch beside you, careful to keep some space between you. âYou werenât overreacting,â He said, his voice low. âI swear, I didnât mean to make you feel that way. I was just being an idiot. You know Iâm terrible at serious conversations.â
âThatâs not an excuse, Lando.â
âI know,â He said quickly. âI know. Iâm not trying to make excuses. I just⊠Iâm sorry. Really. I shouldâve listened instead of brushing you off.â
You let out a soft sigh, your fingers tightening around the edge of the blanket. Part of you wanted to hold onto the anger, to make him sweat a little longer, but the vulnerability in his voice was breaking down your walls.
Lando reached out hesitantly, his fingers brushing against your knee. âIâll do better,â he sighed, his voice almost a whisper. âI donât want to make you feel like that again.â
You glanced at him, taking in the way his brows were knit together, the way his lips were pressed into a thin line. He looked genuinely remorseful, and your heart softened despite yourself.
âI just want you to take me seriously,â You said quietly.
âI will,â he promised, his hand gently resting on your knee now. âI mean it.â
For a moment, neither of you spoke. Then, finally, you let out a small sigh. âOkay.â
His head shot up, hope sparking in his eyes. âOkay?â
âOkay,â you repeated, a small smile tugging at your lips despite yourself. âBut donât think this means youâre off the hook.â
He grinned, leaning in slightly. âNoted.â
You rolled your eyes but didnât pull away when he shifted closer, his hand sliding up to your cheek. âIâm sorry again.â He muttered as he shifted even closer.
You didnât answer, but the way you leaned into him was all the permission he needed. His lips brushed against yours, soft and tentative at first, then firmer as you kissed him back.
When you finally pulled away, he rested his forehead against yours, a soft smile playing on his lips. âAre you still mad at me?â
You laughed, shaking your head. âWhen am I never mad at you.â Rolling your eyes as you slightly joked. âBut, seriously. I am still a little mad.â
He grinned, pressing another quick kiss to your temple before pulling you into a warm hug. âIâll take what I can get,â he murmured, his arms wrapping tightly around you.
As you leaned into his embrace, the weight of the argument melted away, leaving only the warmth of his loveâand the promise to do better.

pleasepleaseplease, if you're willing ofc đ«¶, can we get a little something where jack is trying his absolute hardest to get hotch and r together during the christmas season?! (i can only imagine the romcom chaos and deliciousness that'll involve haha!) đâ€ïžđ
mistletoe mischief
the dream!!!!! & jack receives some assistance from morgan also :) cw; bau fem!reader, mutual pining, mentions of food, typical cm case talk, bau family banter, feelings realized (with some making out <3), fluff đ€ wc; 1.5k
It had become tradition for everyone to go to Dave's house for Christmas Eve. And that meant everyone - the team, the kids, partners. The more the merrier.
It was a time to enjoy each other's company, laugh, exchange gifts and indulge in delicious food and treats. It was a nice reprieve from the hectic stress that the holidays brought, and everyone was happy to have it.
Whereas Jack had a different approach to the night. He had decided, that tonight would be the night you and his dad got together. He would make sure of it.
Only, it wasn't as easy as he thought.
All night Jack's done what he could, in hopes of initiating something between the two of you. Dinner was easy, he had sweetly asked you to switch seats with him - how could you have possibly said no? He persuaded his father to team up with you for the 'reindeer games', like holiday bingo, or unscrambling Christmas songs. That had been a small victory; Aaron giving you a celebratory hug when you were the first to call bingo.
But it still wasn't what he hoped. Things like that worked at school, if someone had a crush on another - they sat together in the cafeteria, they teamed up as partners in class, they played together at recess. (Sadly it was snowing outside, and Uncle Dave didn't have a swing set.)
Defeated, Jack found himself slouching on the couch, pouting alone.
Morgan had been the first to notice his minor sulking, making his way over. "What's on your mind big man?"
"Nothing." He mumbled under his breath, picking at the cookies on the plate you had put together for him.
"Nothing? For someone Santa's visiting tonight, you don't look very excited." He sat down, giving Jack's shoulder a pat, an invitation to open up. "Wanna tell me what's up?"
Jack kept his eyes on his treats, toying with the idea of sharing before sighing, asking if Dad liked you. Like really, liked you.
Derek's lips pursed. His expression changed to one of uncertainty, mulling over the situation.
"That's the million dollar question right there. We think so," Derek confessed, thinking back to all the times where you and Aaron seemed much too comfortable. The constant, lingering stares. Aaron going soft on you at times. The fear in your eyes when Hotch had encountered an unsub at gunpoint. This had occurred recently, and afterwards when Hotch was deemed safe and sound, you had refused to leave his side altogether.
"What have you seen? I'm sure you know what's going on more than the rest of us."
Jack nodded, perking up slightly at his uncle's vague admittance. His lips pulled into a smile, "Well, she is over a lot."
Derek grinned, his head tilting to the side. "Really."
"Yeah," Jack took a bite of his cookie. "We have a lot of fun. She brings over pizza for movie night every Friday if she and Dad aren't working. Cheese for me. Pepperoni and sausage for her and Dad."
"They share, huh?"
"And then Dad spent a lot of time picking out her Christmas present. But they haven't kissed." Jack sighed frustratedly, an innocent confusion on his face. "That's what grown ups do when they love each other, right?"
"It is pretty standard," Derek affirmed, amused himself at the confirmation something was, in fact, going on. It's only been driving the team crazy for weeks.
He, as well as the others, have confronted you about it numerous times, knowing that if they went to Hotch instead, he would confess nothing. But you reacted similarly. A shrug and a "just friends" before switching to a different topic.
"I tried all night too." Jack's bottom lip protruded in a pout once more. "But nothing works."
"Well..." A smile formed on Derek's face. "Maybe you just need a little extra help."
-
"Rally up the troops." Penelope clapped at you, to which you snorted an airy laugh through your nose. "Don't just sit there. I have been shopping since Halloween and I've masterly selected each and every gift and I have been itching to see all your reactions. I almost gave you yours two weeks ago."
"Okay, okay," You surrendered, throwing your hands up. You knew better than to face Penelope's driven wrath.
"You better," Her expression was sharp, pointing a warning finger at you. She hurried away as another laugh escaped you, while you also opted to take one more drink.
As she left the room, Jack entered.
"Hey Jackers," Your face brightened at the sight of him, putting your drink aside. "I heard it's almost time for presents." You raised your eyebrows, a soft smile on your face. "You excited?"
Jack nodded, a glint in his eyes. It was rather mischievous, similar to the one he gave Aaron when he wanted to delay going to bed early, only much more so. "Can you help me with something first?"
"Of course I can," You agreed within a split second's notice. Jack grabbed your hand and led you away just as fast. "Is everything okay?"
"Yeah."
He led you towards Dave's foyer. It was dimly lit, shoes scattered amongst the welcome mat. God forbid someone stained Dave's carpeting.
Aaron and Morgan were just coming back inside; Aaron looked a bit agitated, per usual, while Derek was sporting his famous, cheeky grin.
" - I don't know why you would say that." Aaron continued, tossing an annoyed look over his shoulder to Morgan. As his gaze returned forward, and made eye contact with you, the softness in his face returned instantly.
"Is everything okay?" You wondered, eyebrows furrowing in confusion as you and Jack came to a stop.
"Morgan said my car alarm was going off." Aaron shoved his keys back into his pocket, leaving Morgan's side and favoring yours. "And evidently lied."
"Lied?" A laugh escaped you, perplexedly looking at Morgan, seeking an explanation as well.
"My bad." He waved it off, giving Jack a wink. That was suspicious, but he switched topics before anything could be said. "Oh, would you look at that."
His hand raised, his index finger pointing upwards, directing right between you and Aaron. Both your gazes followed.
Mistletoe.
Oh.
Your eyes shot to Derek's, wide and surprised. In contrast, Aaron's face remained neutral, but a deep blush was growing on his cheeks, as well tinting his ears.
"Well, we'll leave you two to it." He left it at that, shrugging nonchalantly before gesturing Jack away.
"What... Jack?" You started, turning around. "I thought you needed..."
The two of them were gone before you could finish your sentence. However, you did view the tail end of Derek giving Jack a high five.
So, they had been in cahoots. You scoffed a laugh, shaking your head.
Now alone, your eyes connected with Aaron's, who was standing there rather anxiously. Naturally, there was a touch of tension in the air, but it wasn't awkward by any means. A mutual excitement, as well as relief. An electricity.
Aaron hadn't been anxious, but buzzing with anticipation.
You've been wanting to kiss him. He's been yearning to kiss you. The time had just never been right, nor had it the perfect moment. In addition, there was always the fear of rejection.
And suddenly you felt like an idiot for even contemplating such, because from the longing you noticed within his pupils, you've always been on the same page.
Aaron chucked, stating the obvious and peering back up at the mistletoe. "I think we were set up."
"You don't say." You quipped in response, a nervous laugh escaping you. Oh my god was repeatedly circling in your head. You shifted your weight from one foot to another. There was so much you wanted to say, having gone through the potential conversation in your mind more times than you could count. But now, as the opportunity finally presented itself - nothing.
Aaron on the other hand, simply decided to show you.
He wasted no time - his confidence was quite literally the hottest thing you could fathom. All in one smooth motion, his hand cupped your cheek and he placed his lips firmly onto yours.
A spark of energy rushed through you, the both of you in fact. Every nerve in your body was suddenly alive and heightened. Your fingers clutched onto the sides of his shirt, reciprocating the passion.
Aaron's kiss was gentle, his fingertips rough but incredibly soft where they rest against your skin. It made sense, it mirrored him perfectly. A hard exterior, but tender underneath.
And longing to be even closer, Aaron shoved you lightly against the wall, slotting a leg between your thighs. That way, he could lose himself more into you, and you could fully succumb to him.
Your head was fuzzy, feeling lightheaded in the best way possible as your heart fluttered in your chest. Now that Aaron had kissed you, you were done for. From now on, you refused to go each day without receiving another. You couldn't.
"We're missing presents." You teased once the two of you pulled away for air, cheeks flushed. And immediately missing his contact, your lips easily found their way back to his. You could feel his smile, a happy sigh leaving him.
"They can wait."

Santa Doesn't Know You Like I Do
Spencer Reid x Reader
Summary: Your first Christmas with Spencer and you get his name for secret Santa.Â
WC: 1.8k
Tags: Fluff, Secret Santa, friends to lovers, one use of Y/N I think A/N: Sorry I went MIA :( I got busy with school. I hope to push out many ideas while Iâm on break tho. Hereâs something cheesy and festive for the holiday season I hope you enjoy! (not beta read don't kill me)
Nothing was right. Nothing you found was the right present.Â
This was your first secret Santa with the BAU and you picked Spencer's name out of penelopeâs mug. At first you thought it would be easy to buy a present for him because you knew him so well. In almost a year of being with the BAU you grew the closest with Spencer.Â
What you didnât expect was your present ideas to not live up to your own expectations. Nothing you came up with could live up to your own standards. Of course your âslightâ feelings for him definitely affected this, but you tried to tell yourself that wasnât true.Â
You ran through dozens of ideas. Clothing, a new scarf, tickets for a play, special edition of a book he loved. But nothing felt like the right present.Â
You almost gave up in your search for the perfect present for him. The gift exchange was in less than a week and you still had nothing. Sitting at your desk in the bullpen you considered settling with one of your first ideas.Â
While getting up to refill your coffee mug you noticed Spencerâs attention was focused on his computer. He sat there deep in thought with his brows furrowed and lips in a fine line. When you walked by his desk you saw he was playing an online chess game.Â
âWorking hard or hardly working?â you joked.Â
He popped out of his focus from your presence. âI finished my files a little early,â he responded bashfully.Â
âAre you at least winning?âÂ
He smirked, âIâve won four times. But thatâs not even the fun part. The fun is doing different plays every time and seeing what the computer comes up with as the best response.âÂ
Thatâs when it hit you. An idea for Spencerâs gift.Â
Finally something that felt like a good gift for him. At the end of the day you rushed out of work to go to the craft store and get your supplies. You worked on the gift everyday after work.Â
Soon the weekend rolled around and you found yourself at Rossiâs. His living room had the biggest Christmas tree youâd ever seen. Everyoneâs gifts sat there for the evening. After dinner you all sat down to exchange gifts.Â
âI want to go first!â Garcia exclaimed. She jumped up from the couch and hurried to the tree to grab her gift for JJ.Â
JJ excitedly opened the gift bag to find a small black and grey purse with a colorful crochet keychain. The idea that Garcia also handmade part of her gift gave you a sense of relief.Â
âOh this is so pretty. Thank you so much,â she beamed, admiring the bag and twirling the keychain. Garcia squealed in happiness before JJ offered a hug to her.Â
JJ then handed over her gift to Rossi, a bottle of scotch. He smiled and thanked her for the bottle saying how his collection needed a new addition.Â
He stood up and brought his hands together looking at the tree. âMy turn.â He grabbed a thin box wrapped in silver sparkly wrapping paper and walked over to you.Â
âFor you, my dear,â he handed you the box.Â
Your eyes widened and lips perked up at the gift. It may be a little silly but, part of you wished that you were Spencerâs secret santa. You reminded yourself that the possibility of you both picking each other's names was unlikely. The possibility of some things being the same between the two of you was ⊠unlikely.Â
You ripped back the paper to reveal a large eyeshadow pallet. Upon opening it, you saw an array of beautiful shades you couldnât wait to try out.Â
âRossi, this is so sweet. I love it,â You thanked with a bright smile.Â
Now it was your turn. Everyoneâs eyes only made the moment more stressful. You got up and grabbed the box with a nervous hand. What if he didnât like it? What if he thought it was too cheesy or corny? What if he thought it was useless as he already owned two of them?
You tried to quiet your thoughts as you handed him the box, but they had no intention of leaving.
âMerry Christmas Spence,â you said softly.
When you turned and walked back to your seat you neglected to see the rising blush on his face.Â
Spencer glanced down at the white and red striped paper. He carefully peeled it off and opened the lid to reveal a chess set nestled in between red tissue paper. The board spaces were off-white and royal purple with corresponding chess pieces the same colors. When he picked up the wooden pieces and saw small leaves and flowers painted on them. The King and Queen specifically had crowns in a shimmering gold.Â
âWow look at that,â Emily admired.
Upon further inspection he noticed the small human imperfections in the details. The way not one leaf or flower looked exactly the same. Or how the clear coating over the paint was slightly streaky in some spots.Â
âDid you paint this?â He asked.
You nodded your head and answered , âYeah I did.âÂ
A faint âaweâ could be heard across the room from Garcia.Â
âY/N,â Spencer started, his voice full of admiration. âThis is ⊠beautiful.âÂ
The butterflies in your stomach were getting restless.Â
âReally?â you asked, not able to hide the smile spreading on your face.Â
âYes! Itâs Perfect,â his eyes sparkled at you. âI love it. Nobodyâs ever given me something like this.â He beamed at you with a smile that made you love sick.Â
The realization that you both were not alone set in and Spencer cleared his throat before closing the box. The gift exchange continued as Spencer handed over a present to Morgan.Â
The rest of the night was filled with catching glances and far away looks between you and Spencer. He seemed to feel more relaxed in a way after receiving your gift. Not that he was acting any differently. He just seemed more open. With the group and with you.Â
You lived off that feeling the whole evening. The idea that you made him happy. You helped him see he was appreciated and loved.Â
Not that he had to know you loved him.Â
He didnât know that. Right?Â
As the hands on the clock passed you announced your departure and said your goodbyes. You stepped outside and felt a chill against your skin.Â
You held tight onto your keys as you walked to your car. The snow had just started to fall. Occasional little flurries fell down from the sky.Â
âWait!â Someone yelled from behind.Â
You turned to find Spencer trying his best to run but not slip on the icy parts of the driveway. When he got closer you noticed his cheeks and the tip of his nose were pink. Probably from the cold weather you thought.
âI wanted to formally say thank you for the chess set,â he explained.Â
âYouâre welcome,â you replied with a smile. You stuffed your hands in your pockets away from the cold. âIâm glad you like it. I was worried youâd find it cheesy.âÂ
He looked confused. âWhy would I find it cheesy?âÂ
You shrugged, âbecause I hand painted it.â
âBut thatâs what makes it perfect,â he reassured. His voice is sincere and soft. âItâs personal and shows you care.â
His eyes widened. âOh um-âÂ
He suddenly remembered why he rushed outside and scrambled for something in his jacket pocket. It was a small cube shaped box wrapped in paper covered in snowflakes. Quite fitting for the weather.
âI know I technically wasnât your secret Santa but I still wanted to get you something.â
You took the gift from him with a slack jaw. âSpence-â
âThis isnât because you were my secret Santa. I still wanted to get you a gift regardless,â he reassured.Â
âI- Thank you,â you started unwrapping the gift.Â
âItâs not homemade like yours but I hope you still like it.â
âIt doesnât have to be homemade for me to-â the wind was stolen out of your lungs. Â
The gift was a small gold and white music box you immediately recognized. You opened the lid to reveal a ballerina in a pink tutu spinning as Sleeping Beauty Waltz played. Your heart ached as you admired the tiny dancer.
âIs this the music box from that antique shop in Seattle?âÂ
While on a case in Seattle, you and Spencer went to an antique shop to ask the owner about evidence found at the crime scene that was purchased there. You fell in love with a beautiful music box in one of the aisles.Â
âIt is. I saw how you looked at it in the store and in the car you said it reminded you of when you used to do ballet. So before we left Seattle I went back to the store to get it for you. I thought it would make a great Christmas present.â
âBut, that was three months ago.â
He sheepishly smiled and his cheeks only got more red. âYeah, I had to keep it a secret for a while.â
Your heart rate started to pick up as the butterflies returned. âI can't believe you went back and bought this for me,â you muttered in disbelief.Â
âOf course I would. You mean a lot to me and I knew this was something that would make you happy.âÂ
You admired the music box before carefully placing it in your purse. âThank you so much. I love it.âÂ
His smile grew and reached his eyes. His eyes looked beautiful in this lighting. The Christmas lights from the house made them look practically golden. Even in the freezing cold you could melt from his eyes.
He shifted his weight and licked his lips. He seemed wrapped around the words in his head. âI also wanted to ask if maybe youâd want to go see The Nutcracker with me.âÂ
Your heart damn near stopped.Â
âItâs playing at the theater downtown. I was thinking if we donât get a case then we could go see the show on Friday. Maybe, if you want to, that is,â he rambled in nervousness.Â
âIâd love to,â you beamed.Â
His face brightened at your eagerness, but his nerves were still present. âBut not as friends. As a date?âÂ
You chuckled, âYes Spencer, I would love to go on a date with you. I think the nutcracker is a perfect first date.â
âGreat,â he said with relief. âAnd maybe afterwards we might have time for a game of chess with my new board.âÂ
God he was cute.Â
âThat sounds great.â

Whatever happened, he was sure they could persuade Killian to leave the crossbow with one of them. The more pressing challenge was getting him to let Violet have it and not him but he was sure they could manage that too. He chuckled knowingly at Samantha's suggestion they steal a key instead. "You know that would be a whole lot more fun," he teased "but we can try the colleague favour angle first." He didn't mind playing up the drama lecturer's role as much as needed. In truth, he had quite enjoyed it!
At least with Violet picking the codeword, even if it was trivial she would feel more included and much like Samantha, Sloane was hoping it meant she was more inclined to listen to them. "We'll manage whatever the case," he reassured her. "We might have this whole thing wrapped up tonight if we're smart about this. Use the monster as the bait to bring out whoever is doing the experiments." Though it rarely went that way, he could live in some hope.
He smiled at Samantha for a moment though, pleased they were on the same page in how to handle both Killian and Violet. "You'll make a really excellent mother one day you know." He certainly thought so anyway, "No pulling the wool over your eyes and certainly able to put your foot down when you need to." It was fitting wasn't it? The three of them acting as a family and seeing how it might all unfold for them. He'd certainly learned some more people handling skills since working with them both.
Theo only blinked at Violet in some confusion as she spoke of trapping Fire Vampires in a lightning rod. What he was envisioning was of course very far from the reality of the situation and for a moment he found himself puzzling over that instead of his cultist counterpart. "What's a Fire Vampire?" He then asked carefully, curious and perhaps dangerously so.
Violet stood up and Theo followed, looking over the crossbow again and nodding his agreement that they could just practice on the stage. Safety be damned! "I will go and check the trash, there's probably some in there. Energy drinks are like a currency here," he commented as he went to trot off the stage towards one of the bins in the audience to have a look.
Sloane watched as Theo went off the stage, a quick check on Violet and he was perhaps quietly mortified that she had in fact tampered with the crossbow in such a way that now it looked particularly deadly. He gave Samantha a short and gentle nudge for her to look too. "Think it will fire?"
đđđđ & đđđđđđ @multipleoccupancy
"That's a good idea," she said, recognizing in his suggestion the experience of a father who knew how to break up fights between siblings, "I'll do that. The bears should be a very efficient argument." Killian did worry about her, and he certainly seemed to worry about the bears, too. Samantha didn't, she was used to it. But Killian was clearly a city boy -his accent unfortunately betraying that he was from New York, where the only wildlife was rats and pigeons.
She nodded. "We should be able to find her a room. And since she's posing as your daughter, you might be able to ask for a favor. Or..." She raised her eyebrows playfully. "We can just steal a key if it's faster."
"Yes, let's let her pick the codename. The more involved she feels, the more she'll listen to us... I hope." It was clear Violet had been very enthused by the prospect of being a part of O cell. And if she idolized her father, it made sense.
Violet tapped her temple with her index finger. "Science, exactly." The good people's magic, she liked that. She winked back. "And in my experience, it works great against monsters. I trapped a Fire Vampire in a lightning rod, once. I think Benjamin Franklin would have been proud!" Though she supposed Benjamin Franklin never knew about Fire Vampires. Unless he created lightning rods to fight Fire Vampires? Unlikely, yes. But an amusing thought all the same.
"Yes, we should practice!" She seemed just as excited as him while she stood up, proudly holding her now functional crossbow. "We just need some empty soda cans. We can probably practice here, it's such a large room." Violet imagined the aim was going to be different, but she was confident that, after a few tries, she would get the hang of it.

leah vs the kitchen // leah williamson
a/n : more fluff!!!
warnings : traumatised beth, mentions of sex
The moment you stepped through the front door, you knew something was wrong. The smell⊠oh, the smell. It hit you like a wall. Burnt⊠something. Not âoops, I left the toast in too longâ burnt. It was the âfire department might need to get involvedâ kind of burnt.
âLeah?â you called out cautiously, shutting the door behind you.
From the kitchen came a crash, followed by a very unconvincing, âStay out there! Iâve got it under control!â
You snorted, shrugging off your coat. Under control. Sure. If Leah Williamson ever had something in the kitchen âunder control,â youâd eat your own shoe. Youâd been with her long enough to know: Leah was talented in many, many ways. Cooking was not one of them.
âAre you burning down our kitchen for fun orâŠ?â
âJustâjust five more minutes!â Leah shouted back.
âLove, I think youâre out of time.â
You followed the smell to the kitchen and immediately stopped dead. It looked like a war zone. A pot sat abandoned in the sink, still faintly smoking. Something unidentifiable bubbled angrily on the stove, its consistency closer to wet cement than food. There were bowls, pans, and splatters of something everywhere. Leah stood in the middle of it all, wooden spoon in hand, hair falling out of her bun, and a streak of sauce across her forehead like war paint.
âLeah,â you said slowly, âwhy does our kitchen look like itâs being exorcised?â
She whipped around to face you, eyes wide with a mix of panic and hope. âYouâre home early.â
âYou said to come home at six. Itâs six.â
âWell, yeah, but like six-ish,â Leah mumbled, abandoning the spoon in the bubbling pot of doom.
You crossed your arms, trying and failing to keep a straight face. âIs this⊠dinner?â
Leah exhaled loudly, running a hand down her face and smudging more sauce onto her cheek. âIt was supposed to be. I watched two cooking tutorials for this, babe. Two.â
âOh, you really committed,â you teased, stepping closer.
âI did!â Leah insisted, throwing her hands in the air. âBut then I turned my back for one second, and the risottoââ
âRisotto?â You peered into the pot and grimaced. âBabe, thatâs not risotto. Thatâs glue.â
Leah groaned, leaning against the counter in defeat. âI wanted this to be special. Itâs our anniversary, and I thought, you know, candles, home-cooked dinner, romantic gestures⊠I was trying to impress you.â
You softened immediately, stepping up to her and slipping your arms around her waist. âLeah, you already impress me.â
She looked down at you, unimpressed by your sweetness. âYouâre just saying that because I look cute with sauce on my face.â
âThat too,â you replied, grinning. âBut Iâm serious. I donât need a perfect dinner to know you love me.â
Leah sighed, resting her forehead against yours. âI do love you, though. So much itâs embarrassing.â
âEmbarrassing?â you teased. âBig England captain, embarrassed?â
âOnly when it comes to you,â she murmured, leaning down to kiss you softly.
The kiss lingered, warm and sweet, as Leahâs fingers skimmed up your back and yours tangled in her hair. For a moment, you forgot all about the smoke, the bubbling disaster on the stove, and the kitchen that looked like it had been hit by a tornado. Leah kissed you like you were the only thing in the world that mattered, and honestly, you were happy to let herâŠ
Until the front door slammed open.
âOi! Tell me thereâs no food poisoning happening this timeââ
âBETH!â Leah shouted, jerking back so quickly she nearly knocked you over.
There, standing in the doorway to the kitchen, was Beth, your toddler son perched on her hip, staring at the scene with wide, horrified eyes. Behind her, Viv peered over her shoulder with a grin, clearly enjoying the chaos far more than Beth was.
Beth took one look at the smoke curling from the stove and the sauce streaked across Leahâs face and muttered, âJesus Christ. Itâs happening again.â
âBeth, get out!â Leah cried, her cheeks turning beet red.
âI knew this would happen,â Beth said, ignoring Leah entirely. She turned to your son. âI told you. Didnât I tell you?â
Your son wrinkled his nose dramatically, pointing at the stove. âMama, why are you burning food again?â
Leah clapped a hand over her face. âI hate all of you.â
You, on the other hand, were too busy laughing to defend her. Beth shot you a look. âDonât laugh! You donât know what Iâve been through!â
âWhat youâve been through?â you repeated, raising an eyebrow.
Beth pointed an accusing finger at Leah. âLast time I babysat, I came back early and walked in onââ
âDonât finish that sentence,â Leah warned, eyes wide.
ââunspeakable horrors,â Beth finished dramatically, turning to Viv for support. âI havenât been the same since.â
Leah groaned, grabbing a tea towel and whipping it in Bethâs direction. âYouâre so dramatic.â
Beth ducked out of the way, still clutching your son like a shield. âI am dramatic because Iâm traumatized. I see them kiss now, and I flinch.â
Viv snorted, clearly unbothered. âYou brought it on yourself, to be fair.â
âWhy do you always come home early anyway?â Leah grumbled, narrowing her eyes at Beth. âYouâre meant to be babysitting.â
âI was babysitting,â Beth replied. âBut he wanted his dinosaur toy, so we came back to get it. And youâre lucky I did because I think you were seconds away from setting this place on fire.â
Your son perked up at this, clearly unfazed by the chaos. âIs the house gonna blow up?â
âNo, mate,â Leah said quickly, shooting you a helpless look. âItâs not gonna blow up.â
Beth raised an eyebrow, smirking. âYou sure about that, Williamson?â
âOut,â Leah hissed, pointing toward the door.
Beth grinned, finally setting your son down and ruffling his hair. âAlright, alright. Iâll take him to ours and actually babysit. You two⊠do whatever it is you do when Iâm not here to stop it.â
âBeth!â
She only cackled, grabbing Vivâs hand and dragging your son back out of the kitchen.
The moment the door slammed shut behind them, Leah groaned, sinking to the floor. âIâm never going to live this down.â
You sat beside her, leaning your head on her shoulder. âYouâre really bad at keeping secrets from Beth.â
âShe has a sixth sense for interrupting,â Leah muttered darkly. âI swear she hides in the bushes waiting for us to kiss.â
You grinned, reaching over to tug Leahâs face toward you. âHey, itâs okay. Despite the ruined dinner, the smoke, and Bethâs trauma, I still love you.â
Leah softened immediately, a lovesick smile spreading across her face. âYeah?â
âYeah.â
She wrapped her arm around you, pulling you into her lap and pressing a kiss to your temple. âYouâre the best thing thatâs ever happened to me, you know?â
You smiled, turning to kiss her softly. âEven though I make fun of your cooking?â
âEspecially then,â Leah replied, grinning against your lips.
And as the smell of burnt food lingered in the kitchen and Bethâs dramatic complaints echoed faintly in your head, you realized it really was the perfect anniversary, chaos, laughter, and all.

Predator (Jungkook x Reader) Part II - Prey
Pairing: Vampire Jungkook x Reader
Word Count: 5.2k
Series: Predator Universe
Warnings: 18+, Yandere, Vampire Jungkook, Obsession, Manipulation, Forced Relationships, Blood (So much of it), Fear (Copious amounts), Panic/Anxiety Attacks, Mind Games, Tormenting the MCs, Discussions about dead bodies, Jungkook and his unblinking stare, Self Injury (Non Mental Health Related), Forced Feeding, Isolation
I do not condone the acts displayed in this story nor do I believe any members of BTS would actually engage in this type of behavior. This is simply written for entertainment purposes and should not be taken as a reflection of my own values, opinions, or morals.
Preview: The worst part was that you never tried to run. Jungkook never tied you down to anything or bound your wrists or feet. He simply knew that you would never try. It would be idiotic for you to try and run, you knew he was a talented tracker - he would be able to find you within minutes of your escape. There was nowhere to run and nowhere to hide from him, he would always be able to find you.
A/N: I am alive! This was entirely inspired by an ask that was sent to me so the entire reason this exists is because of the wonderful anons who have asked be about what has happened since the end of Predator and who have asked to see what a more lucid Jungkook would look like. I haven't had this much fun writing in such a long time. I'm sorry it's so short, I hope you can forgive me đ
READ PART I - PREDATOR
_______
It was dark and quiet, the only sound being the steady, slow, drip of water hitting the dusty floorboards and the harsh chatter of your teeth as they clashed together.Â
You were freezing, your body trembling despite your best attempts to collect yourself. It was no use, no matter what you did you were never able to warm up anymore. You knew it wasnât all that cold outside, but that didnât really matter. Despite the chills that wracked your body there was a fine sheen of sweat that coated your skin.
You were unsure as to how much time had really passed since you had found yourself here. All of the days had begun to blend together like some horrible fever dream you simply couldnât wake up from. The only constant in your life has become him.Â
If you didnât know any better, you would think he was trying to kill you.Â
What was truly likely, was that this was a side effect of his treatment of you. It was very likely that he just didnât know how to take care of a human. And despite your incessant pleading, he had told you that he would not kill you. So really, it was his own ineptitude that had you knocking on deathâs door.
Your skin felt grimey, not entirely from lack of hygiene, but from the film of blood that coated your skin. It was all over you but it mostly dominated your cheeks, lips, throat, chest, and fingers. He was not violent when he claimed his feeds, but he was not necessarily gentle either. You hadnât looked in a mirror for quite some time, but you were certain no amount of vampire blood would be able to seal your wounds with how often they were readily reopened.
This wasnât a life, it was a slow and painful trek to the afterlife.
Your trembling increased as the front porch creaked, he was already back. Your head lolled backwards and hit the wall behind you in defeat. You couldnât do this again, you couldnât give him another part of yourself - this time you were certain that it would kill you.Â
Every time he fed from you, there was a horrible, delightful, exhilarating rush that followed. Whatever it was that he was doing to you, it was forcing you to enjoy the very thing that was killing you. It was perverse. It was disgusting. It was addicting.
It was hard to hate him in the throes of ecstasy, there was this horrible thrill that came the second before his fangs pierced his limb of choice as you knew you would be rewarded with bliss in the moments that followed. It was easier to hate him when he wasnât there, his lack of presence giving your mind the briefest of reprieves to remind yourself of the horrible situation you were truly in.Â
The distance, however, didnât seem to allow him the same clarity. If anything, it made him grow more needy, more irritated, and more clingy.
The door creaked open, and your time to yourself disappeared. Your body shook tenfold as his presence filled the room. He still looked the same as he did the first time you had come face to face with him. His clothes were worse for wear, even more blood stained and shredded than they had been before. There was a permanent coppery scent that surrounded him, the dried blood being the prime suspect.Â
You were certain that you didnât smell that much better. Although, to a vampire, you probably would smell all that more enticing.
His gaze was immediately drawn to you, your eyes locking with one another, bridging the fifteen foot gap between you. His eyes often fluctuated in vibrancy depending on how hungry he was. The days where they were near black were the most difficult for you, but today they were a bright crimson red. He had fed on someone, someone who luckily wasnât you.
âHello little mouse,â He greeted, his voice low and surprisingly soft, devoid of the almost manic tone you had been familiar with for the longest time.Â
He began to close the distance between the two of you, his gait smooth as he approached you. The way he moved was unnaturally perfect, the silent power of a predator imbued in every muscle of his body.
He wordlessly dropped a bag in your lap as he sank down to the ground beside you, his wide, red, unblinking eyes staring at you, waiting for you to make a move. No matter how much time you have spent with him, his stare was still unnerving.
It took you longer than it should have to open it, your fingers trembling beyond your control. But Jungkook was patient, he has all of the time in the world to wait.
The scent of food hit your nose, your mouth watering and your stomach growling eagerly in response. From the color of his eyes and what he had brought you, you assumed he had decided to have his fill of a hiker instead of you.Â
Jungkook didnât know how to take care of a human, that much was obvious. He had, however, been keenly aware of how much blood he was draining from your body on a daily basis. You had become so weak, anything but sitting felt like a herculean task nowadays. And the lack of consistent meals was weighing heavy on your body.
You didnât care that he was watching you eat, your mannerisms ravenous and most likely off putting. But you no longer complained when he took his fill of you, and for some reason he remained silent and returned that courtesy.Â
You had noticed a shift in his behavior when that other vampire had found the two of you not that long ago. He knew Jungkook, from the way they spoke it appeared he knew him very well. This other vampire, despite how he appeared more human than Jungkook, frightened you just as much. You could tell from the curl of his smile to his confident gait that he was just as bad, if not worse, as Jungkook.
You had nearly fainted on the spot when he suggested the two of them share you, you were already tapped out as it was, Jungkook had fed on you that morning. The two of them, together, would kill you for sure.
To your surprise, Jungkook had not responded enthusiastically. He responded like an animal defending its territory - baring his fangs and growling in just barely contained rage. And that reaction had set off the other vampire and before you knew it they were a blur of limbs.
They moved so fast your human eyes could barely keep up with them. You were only able to focus when one of them threw the other giving you just enough time to watch them separate before they came back together again. The sound their bodies made when they clashed together was like thunder from what you could only assume was the pure force and strength they possessed. And, much like animals, they ripped and tore into one another with their teeth and nails.
By the time the two of them had finally separated for good, it was because of how much they had injured one another. The both of them were covered in wounds oozing black blood, some of which was their own, and some belonging to the other.
The other vampire, whom you had briefly heard Jungkook address as Hoseok, was tired but still enraged.
âAre you fucking serious? All of this for what, a pathetic little human?!â He yelled, his nostrils flaring in anger. âItâs food, Jungkook! Iâm your brother!â
Your body flinched out of habit at the snarl that left Jungkook.
âWith the rate that youâre going youâll kill her anyways! Why does it even matter?!â
âSheâs my human,â Jungkook replied, his voice low with warning.
âThis isnât even supposed to be about her! Sheâs nothing! Namjoon sent me to come and find you but you know what, I think Iâll let you deal with the consequences of your actions. Itâs only a matter of time before he comes for you and when that happens, you're on your own!â
He disappeared quickly after that, it was like he was there one moment and then vanished the next. Once he was gone, Jungkookâs once sturdy stance softened, his shoulders bending forward from the strain of his own weight. He was hurt, badly.
He slowly turned to look at you, the red of his eyes and his dark mop of hair just visible over the curve of his shoulder. You knew that look, it usually didnât end well for you.Â
âNo, no, no, Jungkook, please!â You whimpered, scrambling backwards.
But it was no use, he never listened to you anyways. He always took what he wanted, even when you had nothing left to give.Â
He stumbled when he moved but he quickly regained his footing, his black blood stained hands grabbing you by the shins and pulling your retreating form towards him. You fought as hard as you could but you were already weak to begin with.
âStop it, please!â You begged, but he didnât listen. He wrapped his arms around you, his grip too tight and utterly uncomfortable.Â
âJungkook-â
âShut up,â He grunted before yanking your head roughly to the side and sinking his teeth back into the scarred skin of your neck. The shriek that left you was borderline inhuman, the building scar tissue made the intrusion all the more painful and Jungkook was not gentle.
And he had already taken so much blood the day before. It wasnât long before your eyes rolled to the back of your head and you went limp in his iron hold.
That was the first time that Jungkook had given you vampire blood. You had almost died that day, you had gotten so close to finally being free of him and still he wouldnât let you go. Even death wasnât a great enough adversary for him.Â
When you had woken up after that attack, shocked that you managed to survive, you were met with those big, red, frightening eyes. The look on his face was the most serious you had ever seen it before, an odd clarity in his eyes that you were seeing for the first time.
He had been dreadfully quiet since then, speaking even less and shorter sentences than he normally did. You wouldnât say he felt bad for what he did, but he had become increasingly aware of the inherent fragility that came with being human. He never apologized, but he had fed from you a lot less after that.
You froze mid bite as you felt his icy fingers graze your flesh, the coolness biting your skin and seeping into your veins. His touch was feather light, just barely there, but you went still beneath it anyways. You were incredibly aware of the strength that was concealed in that touch. He appeared unbothered by your response, his thumb smoothing over the curve of your jaw as he leaned in unbearably close.
You flinched at the feeling of cold metal being draped around your throat, his fingers clasping the material at the nape of your neck. It was a necklace. Your chest felt tighter, the food in your stomach quickly souring.Â
He was doing it again.Â
You were well aware of Jungkookâs strange and disturbing habit of taking mementos from his victims. His ears, wrists, neck, and practically every inch of his body were adorned with items he had stolen. You noticed he had an affinity for jewelry, but his jacket and boots had been taken from someoneâs corpse as well. And, recently, he started bringing them back for you as well.Â
Your bloody fingers were littered with several rings, a bracelet on your right wrist, and your ears decorated in earrings - some of which he had pierced himself. And now, the necklace.
It left your stomach in knots when he did this, you couldnât help but think about the bodies abandoned in the woods that he had slaughtered every time the metal glinted back at you. Each piece felt like another shackle keeping you at his side.Â
The worst part was that you never tried to run.
And so, you had become his plaything. His dinner and now his doll, a weak body that he could play with and decorate to his greatest desires whether that be with a corpse's jewelry, or a litany of scars.
âPretty,â He said, his voice deceptively soft as he grazed the skin of your neck, his fingers moving from the clasp of the necklace to trace over the scarred imprints of his fangs and teeth.
You were thankful that he wasnât hungry.
The odd, calm atmosphere between the two of you was quickly dissipating. Jungkook shifted away, agitation clear on his face as an annoyed growl parted his lips. You flinched back against the wall, scooting away to stay out of his path.Â
This wasnât unusual - he had been having rapid mood swings lately.
The few moments of peace the two of you would share were often interrupted by the sudden pained twist of his features - his eyebrows drawing together and his nose scrunching in a snarl. It almost looked like he was in physical pain despite there being no signs of any injury.
And then, the pacing would start. It was like watching a caged lion sweep the perimeter of their enclosure. Back and forth, slow and menacing steps. It was like he was looking for something, or trying to guard the two of you from someone else. You hadnât dared to ask what he was doing, to be entirely honest you tried your best to avoid initiating any interaction or conversation with him at all. The few times you did speak to him, it was usually to beg for him to leave you alone, pleas that often fell on deaf ears.Â
You didnât know what to do with this. When you first âmetâ him, he had been sadistic, like a zealous child with more power than they knew what to do with. He had wanted to play his sick and twisted games with you and the plan had always been to gorge himself on your blood and leave your mangled corpse deep in the forest to wither and return to the earth. That was what was familiar to you, that was what you were expecting.Â
You were never supposed to live, that had been an unfortunate circumstance, a split decision he made to prolong your torture and pain. You didnât know what you were supposed to do with this suddenly quiet, confused, and barely human creature in front of you. One that would rip open your flesh to feed just as soon as he would leave bruising kisses on your lips and throat, painting the flesh a rich red that was left to rust.
You were waiting for him to snap, waiting for it to all finally be over. But that would be luck, luck that you didnât have. He had promised you, so long ago, that you would never be alone again, that he would keep you. And you have suffered the consequences ever since.
When he said your name you felt your blood freeze over. He had never said your name before, you didnât even know that he knew it. He had always called you that horrific pet name, his little mouse.
You wrapped your arms around your legs, pulling them into your chest in an attempt to feel some sense of security as he continued to speak.Â
âWeâre leaving soon.â He said, the words simple but the expression on his face ever so complex. Reluctance, frustration, pain, anxiety. Â
You swallowed, but did not move. The silence was deafening. But, by the look on his face, you knew that he was waiting for your response. You would have to break the stalemate.Â
âAre youâŠtaking me home?â You dared to ask, your heart thundering in your chest as that predatory gleam returned to those red eyes.Â
âNo,â He growled, his jaw clenched as his fangs ground against his lower set of teeth, âYouâre not going back there, ever.â
Your heart shattered.Â
âIâm being called back to my home.â
His home? This was the first that you were hearing of it, you never stopped to ask yourself if he had a home. You couldnât picture it even if you tried, it was a puzzle piece that simply didnât fit. You had always assumed he was simply a nomadic creature that moved as he hunted. And, due to his supernatural nature, it seemed that he never needed the typical human necessities and comforts such as four walls and a roof.Â
You knew he had some sort of family at the very least. You had, after all, had the displeasure of meeting Hoseok who had referred to himself as his brother. And he had mentioned the name Namjoon, the phrasing suggesting a hierarchical structure. But even the notion that he had a family felt just as mismatched. And how ironic it was that he was returning home to a family he didnât even want, and he wouldnât let you go home to the family that you missed so much.Â
âAnd thatâs bad?â You hesitantly asked, flinching as he growled in frustration.Â
âItâs worse than bad!â He yelled, his hands sliding through his hair in stress, âIt was difficult enough fending Hoseok off, but all six of them? Youâre as good as dead.â
Hope.
âThenâŠdonât go?â You said, although it sounded more like a question. By the way he was acting, it was like returning was not a choice.Â
âIf only it were that easy,â He laughed, the sound bordering on being unhinged. âI canât ignore it, if Iâm called I have to answer. If I donât it becomes more and more persistent. It feels like a cord that grows tighter and tighter until it pulls and my body moves on its own and takes me back.â
That explained the pacing, the restlessness his body had been experiencing. He had been trying to redirect it by walking the perimeter of the decrepit cottage but it had been a temporary fix to the problem. You could only assume that he was getting to the point now where his body was ready to return against his will.Â
How horrible it was, to be someoneâs unwilling puppet. You knew that feeling all too well.Â
You didnât know what you were supposed to tell him. There were no choices to be made by the two of you. He would have to return, and he wouldnât leave you here on your own as he knew you would be given the greatest opportunity you have ever had to leave him. So, he would have to take you with him right into the lionâs den where you would undoubtedly be consumed.
He was mumbling to himself now, his pacing becoming more frantic and much faster, your human eyes struggling to keep track of him. You were sure that he was moving so fast he would wear down the old floorboards beneath him and the soles of his beat up boots.
You could only assume that meant the call was becoming even stronger. Before - it was asking, now it was commanding.
You had never seen him so frantic before, those wide blood red eyes unblinking and shifting back and forth faster and faster as his thoughts raced. It was borderline demonic, like something you would see during a paranormal movie or an exorcism. It was terrifying.Â
You began to scoot back as far away as you could until your spine was flush with the wall behind you. You felt better with some part of you concealed from the open, but that did little to calm your racing heart and the creature that raged in front of you.
What was he so afraid of, so panicked by? You couldnât imagine anything scaring him, not with how terrifying he was on his own. What could be so bad, so scary, that it frightened a monster? You weren't sure you wanted to find out, even if it meant you could finally feel the sweet embrace of death and escape him once and for all.Â
Jungkook finally came to a stop, his body still but his eyes continued to move erratically. And then they too settled, and a look of deadly calm settled over them. He had decided something, and you were certain that whatever his decision was it wouldnât be good for you.Â
âThey wouldnât,â You heard him mutter to himself, âNot if I put a fail safe if place.â
A fail safe?
Before you could even blink he had moved across the room, faster than your eyes could track. Your body had been ripped away from the wall and set in between his legs, your spine pressed against his chest, the both of you seated on the ground.
An uncontrollable wail shook your body, the sound emanating a feeling of pure hopelessness. You had been surprised it came out of you, but you knew why. You were terrified he was going to feed from you again.Â
His one arm was wrapped around your ribs, his legs tensed and forcing your own to squeeze together. He had immobilized you, there was nowhere else you could go and no way to escape him.Â
Your entire body shook and heaved with hysterical breaths as you writhed in his grip. âPlease, please donât do it again I canât take anymore of this!â
He hushed you, his free hand brushing over your hair in a surprisingly gentle manner. It was more like someone who was trying to calm a startled stray animal than anything else. His touch moved to your chin, lightly taking hold of the point where your neck and jaw bone met.
He didnât say anything, instead he forced you to look at him, turning your face so that he could look directly into your eyes. And then, to your shock and horror, he plunged his fangs into his own wrist and ripped the flesh wide open. A torrent of thick, viscous, black blood rolled down the pale flesh of his forearm. And before you could do or say anything he grabbed you by your hair and jerked your head back before pressing his open wound to your mouth.Â
You gagged at the smell and taste, tears blurring your vision as you tried to move your head away but he did not budge. His arm around your ribs finally moved but only to help him pry your jaw open and force the blood flow down your throat. He continued to hush you as he forced you to drink, gently rocking your body in stark contrast to the harsh and violent hold he had you in.Â
âJust relax,â He whispered against the shell of your ear, âThe more you struggle, the longer Iâll keep you here. We need to get as much of my blood as possible into your system.â
You were crying even harder now, the salt of your tears slipping between his wrist and your lips and mingling with his blood in your mouth. What had you ever done to deserve this? What horrible thing had you done in some past life to deserve this kind of punishment?
You just wanted to go home. You wanted your mom and dad, your grandparents, and the gentle comfort of your bed in your childhood room. You wanted that life back, and you were never going to have it again.Â
His harsh grip on your jaw loosened as you went limp in his arms, resigning yourself to your inescapable fate. His hand returned to those soothing strokes against your hair, a low hum in his chest vibrating against your back as he watched you feed from him with a curious gaze. You were such a weak little thing, you needed him more than you would ever understand.Â
You hiccupped pathetically when he finally removed his wrist from your mouth after what felt like hours. Your lips and chin were stained black from the blood he spilled when you had struggled. He stared at you again, curiosity evident in his gaze, as he leaned forward and licked the flesh of your lips, tasting his own blood.
You shivered as he made a soft hum, cocking his head to the side before doing it once more, stroking over the bitten and chapped skin with his tongue as he transitioned into kissing your battered lips in a grotesque act of intimacy. He laughed against your mouth as you weakly pushed against his chest, he was amused by your pathetic attempts to push him away. It only encouraged him to kiss you harder and deeper, sampling the taste of his own blood straight from your mouth.Â
Once he was satisfied he finally allowed you to breathe, a devious gleam in his eyes that you had not seen in a long time.Â
âThey wonât be able to kill you for a while now, not unless they want another vampire to worry about.â He said. He was gloating, reveling in the win his family had no idea he had already achieved.
Your blood ran cold, your body freezing at his revelation. The very thing you craved, your own death and by association freedom from him, would be the very thing that would trap you with him for the rest of eternity. If you were killed with his blood in your system, you would become one of them. He truly had taken everything from you, even the dignity of your own death. Your life was his and his alone.
He really was a monster.
His features suddenly twisted in pain, his head jerking to the side as he released a low and threatening growl. The call was becoming even stronger, the most intense it had ever been. There was no more delaying it. They had to go, and they had to right now.Â
He quickly lifted you into his arms as his body began to move on its own, forcing him to begin to move in the direction of his home. There was nothing more that you could do, all you could do was remain limp in his arms. It was over, there was point in fighting anymore.
He had finally broken you.Â
When he stepped outside you were shocked by the fresh air and the cold weather. Then again, you always feel cold now. The clouds were thick today, the sun hidden behind their cover. It had been so long since you were outside, and even longer since you had been in the sun - that wouldnât change in the near future. But what truly shocked you, was that the world went on without you. The seasons continued to change, the flora continued to flourish and then decay. The cycles continued while you were stored away. How cruel the world was to keep going on as you withered away.Â
You leaned your head against his shoulder, shielding your face from the harsh wind as he began to move faster, running at his impossibly fast pace that no human could ever wish to match. How had so much changed? When did you go from human being to a play thing for a monster like him. You had a life, but now it had become inconsequential, toyed with and thrown away like it never even mattered.
What were you supposed to do now? At the end of the day, it didnât really matter. He had won, he had played his sadistic stupid games with you, and he had won. He had broken you. You tucked your chin into your chest and like the pathetic creature that you were you whimpered.
You cared about what was going to happen next. If Jungkook had been wrong, then the two of you walking into the proverbial lion's den would end with you turning into one of them, a fate worse than any other that you could imagine. To be tied to him for all of eternity would be your personal hell on earth.Â
What would they do to you when you got there? Would your death before your next life be slow and torturous, or quick and merciful? Would it be planned and intentional, or accidental?Â
Jungkook began to slow, his fast pace relaxing into a natural walk. The tension that previously rested in his body had begun to dissipate. You could only speculate this was the relief of obeying the command to return home. His control over his own body was slowly but surely coming back to him the closer the two of you came to his home.
He stopped for a moment, placing you down on your own two feet before he took hold of your wrist and forced you to follow after him. Your knees wobbled beneath your weight, unaccustomed to you standing after being curled up in a ball in that abandoned shack for the longest time. You looked more like a baby fawn learning to walk than you did that meek little mouse Jungkook always thought you were. He, however, paid little attention to you at that moment. He was tense, his body in a state of alert as subtly surveyed the area as you continued on.Â
He could sense something that your dull human senses werenât entirely picking up on. However, the hair on the back of your neck prickled and your gut twisted as you felt phantom eyes digging into your body.Â
Someone, somewhere, was watching you.Â
A building began to break through the cluster of trees. A modern, contemporary house in the middle of the forest was coming into view. This was the last place you thought of when Jungkook had mentioned his home. In all honesty, you would have been less surprised by a crypt and a row of coffins.
In front of the house, stood a man. His arms were crossed in front of his chest, his eyes that familiar shade of deep burgundy, the same shade the monsterâs eyes were when he was hungry. This sent chills throughout your body, your entire being sensing the danger in the vampire that stood across from you.Â
Those burgundy eyes swept towards you, a look of shock and confusion discoloring their once calm gaze that you speculated was rarely rattled. His features twisted as he took in the state of you, the dried human and vampire blood that coated your body in thick layers, the dirt that was caked into your clothing, your hair that needed to be washed, and the smattering of scars that decorated your body and glistened in the cloudy daylight.Â
You were barely human anymore, you were a walking corpse.
âYou called me home, Namjoon.â Jungkook simply said, his body moving to shield you from the other vampire's gaze.
âJungkook,â Namjoon said, utter disbelief tinging his words, âWhat are you doing to her?âÂ
In every possible scenario you had conjured in your mind, this had not been one of them.
Sympathy.

Steve had always been the caretaker of the group. Whether it was driving the kids around or making sure everyone was safe, he was the go-to guy. But there was someone else who shared this role with himâhis best friend, you. You were the âmomâ of the group, always looking out for everyone and making sure things were in order.
You had become close to the kids shortly after Steve had. Dustin liked you, liked how Steve acted when you were around. It was also fun for Dustin to pick at Steve when you weren't around; talking about how Steve would blush when you looked at him. You never seemed to notice, though.
It wasn't unusual for you and Steve to be attached at the hip. You pretty much thought as one. One followed after the other. So it was natural when you took the group of kids under your wing. You would do anything for them. That was evident when you had a stern talking-to with a group of kids that were messing with Dustin's group at school. You had spent countless nights making and bringing them food when they were busy playing DND. You always made sure they had a ride home. Or, if they needed to go somewhere, you were the first to call. It became a habit to pick Steve up on the way, if he wasn't already with you when you got the call.
It was fun, spending time with them. They were funny and nice, a contrast to other kids their age.
But, all the times playing âmomâ could be tiring. It seemed like every time you got the call, you would drop everything. They needed you, why would you decline?
It was one specific night when you had finally had enough.
Dustin kicked Lucas' feet out of the way, walking toward the phone. He knew your number by heart. Honestly, it's a surprise the number hadn't worn off from how much he typed it in. The phone rangâŠand rang. Usually, you would've picked up by now. Dustin turned, looking at the clock. 2:37 pm. You were off work today. You typically answer. Plucking the phone back into the base, Dustin turned, eyebrows furrowed. âShe didn't answer.â
âHow are we supposed to get to the arcade?â Mike sat up straighter, kicking himself for breaking the chain on his bike. Nancy was at Jonathan's, and his parents were out with Holly.
âCall Steve.â Lucas looked at Dustin like that was the obvious answer.
Nodding, Dustin turned back to the phone.
âShe didn't answer my call either.â
Steve sighed, turning down the familiar street. The other kids were squashed in the back of Steve's car as Dustin sat in the passenger seat. The kid was quick to tell Steve about his worries. Sure, you just didn't answer the house phone. But that wasn't like you. If you had missed it, you always called back. Or called from Steve's house phone.
âMaybe she isn't home.â Mike watched the trees out the window. Truthfully, he just wanted to go to the arcade. He had a high score to beat. Yours, specifically.
Pulling into your driveway, Steve unbuckled, before getting out. Your car was parked in front of his. âI'll ask if she wants to come with.â
Steve practically skipped to the door, knocking and waiting. It took a few moments before you opened the door. âHey,â Steve took in your appearance. You looked tired, sleep clumped at the corners of your eyes, eye bags apparent. âUh, the kids were wondering if you wanted to come with us to the arcade.â He used his thumb to point behind him, where the kids were watching.
âUm,â You opened your mouth, looking at the kids, before furrowing your brows. âYou know, I actually have to catch up on some sleep.â
âOh, okay. Dustin was worried about you. You didn't answer his calls or mine.â
âYeah,â I have a life outside of you and the kids. I don't have to constantly drop everything to play pretend and do their parents job. âI was asleep.â You weren't going to tell him about how you listened as the phone rang, not daring to even get up from the couch.
âalright, just wanted to check up on you.â Steve turned, not wanting to leave, but feeling like you wanted him to.
You smiled, âthanks, and sorry. Enjoy dealing with those hooligans all by yourself.â
Steve laughed, before you closed the door.
~
Days passed, and it was always the same answer. You had other stuff to do. Until Steve came to visit you at work. He saw you through the window, laughing with a coworker. You looked like you. He missed it.
âI'm having a little get-together at my house tonight. You should come. Food, board games, movies. Everything you love.â Steve smiled, begging you with his eyes.
For some reason, you couldn't say no this time around.
As you all gathered at Steve's house for a movie night, he noticed something different about you. You seemed a bit more tired, your smile a little less bright. You were still taking care of everyone, getting everyone snacks, making sure everyone liked the movie before it was put in, but Steve could see the weariness in your eyes.
You didn't pay attention to the movie, mind elsewhere.
âWhat's going on?â Steve had asked, after everyone was asleep, and you helped clean up.
âWhat do you mean?â
You didn't meet his eyes, instead focusing on grabbing the candy wrappers and throwing them away.
âYou're distant. You don't answer the phone anymore. Did I do something? Did one of them do something?â
âNo.â You sighed, âNo one did anything. I justâŠI'm tired. I don't want to be the caretaker all the time.â
Steve slowly nodded, letting you know he was actually listening.
âI mean, I've had to drop so many things just to take them somewhere or pick them up. I have my own life, you know. I have a job so I can pay bills. If I wanted to be a mom, I would have kids myself.â You hated how that made you sound. You felt selfish for wanting time for yourself, but it's just how it is. They're not your kids, you're not their mom. You're a young adult that has to live life without the constant burden of children.
âYou don't have to. I'll talk to them-â
âNo. Don't do that. It's fine.â
âIt's obviously not fine. You're having to ignore us just to get some free time. I'll talk to them.â
You dropped the trash bag, looking up at him. âI said no. It's not that big of a deal.â You huffed, moving around the living room toward the door.
Steve watched as you grabbed your stuff and left.
He knew first hand how it was to be the caretaker of the group. He found it easier to do with you by his side. But obviously, it wasn't like that for you.
Maybe you wanted someone to take care of you for a change.
Steve started doing little things for you. He'd stop by your house to bring you snacks without you asking. He brought you flowers once, claiming it was from him and the kids, for burdening you. Steve tried to do stuff for you, but you were reluctant to accept his help. You'd always been the one to take care of others, and it was challenging to let someone else do that for you. Sometimes, you'd even get snippy with him, telling him you could handle it yourself.
~
You finally came around again- not as much as before, but you didn't decline their calls anymore.
One night, after a particularly long day, Steve found you in his kitchen, cleaning up after everyone else had left. He walked over and took the dish from your hand.
âSteve, I can do it,â you said, your voice tinged with frustration.
âWhy won't you let me help you?â he asked, his tone equally frustrated.
âBecause I don't need your help!â you snapped back, but your voice cracked, betraying your true feelings.
Steve put the dish down and turned to you, his eyes filled with concern. âYou don't always have to be the strong one, you know. It's okay to let someone else take care of you for once.â
You looked at him, tears welling up in your eyes. âBut what if I don't know how to let go?â
Steve stepped closer, gently cupping your face in his hands. âThen let me show you,â he whispered. âBecause I love you, and I want to be there for you, just like you've always been there for everyone else.â
Your breath hitched at his words, âYou⊠you love me?â
âYes,â Steve said, his voice firm and sincere. âI love you, and I want to take care of you. So please, let me.â
You felt a weight lift off your shoulders as you finally allowed yourself to lean into his embrace. âOkay,â you whispered, your voice soft and full of relief. âOkay.â
Steve smiled, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. âWe'll figure it out together,â he said. âOne step at a time.â
As the days passed, Steve made it his mission to show you that it was okay to let someone else be there for you. He'd surprise you with your favorite coffee in the morning, leave little notes of encouragement on your bedside table before he leaves at night, and always be there with a listening ear when you needed to vent. Slowly, but surely, you began to let your guard down and accept his help.
~
One Saturday afternoon, Steve took you to a quiet spot by the lake. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the water. You sat together on a blanket, watching the ducks swim by.
âThank you,â you said softly, breaking the comfortable silence.
âFor what?â Steve asked, looking at you with a gentle smile.
âFor everything,â you replied. âFor being there for me, for showing me that it's okay to lean on someone else.â
Steve reached out and took your hand in his. âYou don't have to thank me,â he said. âI care about you, and I want to be there for you. Always.â
You leaned your head on his shoulder, feeling a sense of peace and contentment that you hadn't felt in a long time. âI love you, Steve,â you whispered.
âI love you too,â he replied, pressing a kiss to the top of your head. âAnd I'm not going anywhere.â
As the sun dipped below the horizon, you knew that you had finally found someone who would always be there for you, no matter what. And for the first time in a long while, you felt like everything was going to be okay.

Omg! You should totally do one where heâs sexually frustrated. And the reader (female), teases him until he breaks! And when he does they get down to business BIG time if you know what i mean lol. But even when they do start to fuck the reader doesnât listen to all his demands, making it more spicy once silco finally gets the reader exactly how he wants her.
On edge
AN: Thank you so much for this request!! I loved the idea so much and literally had so much fun writing this! Apologies that it took a few days, I again just wanted to make sure it was good and to what you asked! â„ïž I hope you enjoy and that Iâve done your ask justice! đ„șđ«¶
CW: no use of y/n, reader has hair, reader is AFAB, female anatomy, MDNI, cursing, teasing, heavy brĂ€t/brĂ€t tĂ€mer themes, Silco is t0uch deprived, r0ugh seggs, unprotected seggs, bĂŻting, cream đ„§, slight dĂ«gradation, p0rn w/o plot, Ă€ftercare, possible spelling/grammar errors
Also Iâm not sure why, but as I was writing I was listening to this song and I just feel like it fits SO well! So listen along while you read if youâd like!
His forehead head sat in his hand as you entered his office, elbow leaned against the desk as his other hand held a glass, amber liquid and two ice cubes swirling around inside the ornate rocks glass. Whiskey, he only drank on the rougher days anymore, and judging by the cigar that sat in the ash tray on his desk, smoke emanating from it, told you he was having a day. You on the other hand, were in a different sort of mood, a bubbly, perhaps more mischievous mood. You werenât quite sure what brought it about, whether it was your confidence just hitting a new high today, or what but you could tell from the sassy sway to your hips as you shut the door carefully behind you. Something you didnât realize had in fact been noticed by him, he was just doing a very good job at hiding it.
âRough day?â You asked innocently, sauntering over to his side as you stood beside him. The scent of your perfume filled his nose the moment you moved closer, leaving him to inhale its intoxicating scent. Sometimes he wondered if you mixed a sort of drug into it with the way he craved its familiarity, wishing to smell it on his sheets, his jacket. When he did, it drove him wild, the transfer of it from just a simple hug was enough to leave him clutching the large jacket and taking a whiff on occasion when no one was looking or when he was alone in his office. Each time he did, he could feel his cock twitch with excitement as his mind would then drift to you. Sinful thoughts filling his mind of how good you would look splayed against his sheets beneath him, or how you would look bent over his desk as he ravaged you. Shimmer had nowhere near the effects that you had on him, it was almost impressive as much as it was sad. How long had it been that the simple scent of your perfume could cause him to go mad? Or for your fleeting touches to leave him with such carnal need? He couldnât remember, but you made him feel young again in that sense.
âQuiteâ he replied plainly, placing the glass down on the desk, trading it for his cigar that had already been halfway smoked. You watched as he took a long drag of it before leaning back and releasing the smoke in an exhale upwards, ensuring he wouldnât breathe it into your face. You loved the scent of his cigars, something about the tobacco mixed with smoke and his own personal scent left you enjoying being around him as he smoked more than you probably should have. There was something just so alluring about it. âEvery time I turn around it feels as if something has fallen apart and is in need of my attentionâ he finally explained, leaving you to look upon him sympathetically. The lines of stress etched into his forehead and brow spoke truth of this, the bags beginning to accumulate beneath his eyes only further evidence to his unrest. Your hand came to rest against his thigh, rubbing soothing circles along his skin. Something youâd done in the hopes it would help him calm down a little, but youâd be a liar if you said you didnât have ulterior motives behind it.
You felt his body tense for a moment from the soft touch, looking down at your hand that rested against his mid thigh. It was so close, so close yet so far. He wondered how it would look in your small, dainty hands, how good it would feel. He turned his head and shifted a little to try and erase the thought from his mind, but even as you removed your hand, its heat lingered on the spot like a painful reminder. âZaun looks to their leader for guidance and aid, but even a leader deserves restâ you said, smoothing your hands along his jacket, flattening any wrinkles that formed from his previously hunched over position. You were bent over as you did, the shirt you were wearing giving him direct sight to your cleavage as your perfume continued to intoxicate him. Did you have any idea the things you were doing to him? Surely you had to, you couldnât be so oblivious to your effect on him, could you? He was ashamed of the hold you had on him, how weak you made him from just a simple touch. He tried his best to hide it, and hide it well, but as you stood here before him he knew today may very well be the day he reaches his breaking point. âIâm granted no rest when someone walks through my door just about every hourâ he replied, making you hum as you stood back up, watching his eyes trail you as you walked back over to the door. He felt himself release a breath he had no idea heâd been holding in as you put a slight distance between you. âThen lock itâ you said with a cute little grin, the bolt turning in the door with an audible click before you turned back around, watching him clutch the cigar between his fingers with a fierce grip. His eyes bored into you with an intensity that sent shivers down your spine, no one has ever looked at you like that, with such fire in their eyes, with such desire. It made your stomach twist in knots. âNo one can bother you if they canât get inâ you finished before returning to his side, this time watching as you boldly sat on an empty corner of his desk.
You couldnât quite read the look on his face as you did, but you had noticed the way his eyes would flit up and down your body when he thought you werenât looking. He took in the way your pencil skirt seemed to raise past your mid thigh as you sat down, giving him a flash of your panties from beneath it when you would go to cross your legs, leaving him incredibly hard beneath his pants. You were toying with him, you had to be. There was no way you were doing this all unknowing of the effects you had on him. Pathetically, he was falling for it, and he hated that he was. He caught the glimpse of a grin resting on your sweet, plump lips as your downcast gaze trailed him up and down, waiting for a response. You were teasing him on purpose. âYou play with fireâ he stated, making you giggle. âI know, I canât help myself. I like the possibilities of being burntâ you answered confidently, your foot dragging up and down his calf affectionately. Janna almighty youâll be the death of him, but if that were to be the case, what a hell of a way to go.
You watched him as he stood before you, hands planting on either side of your thighs as his face hovered close to yours. âYou think youâre so clever? Waltzing in here with that short little skirt, teasing me and think I wouldnât notice?â He asked, making you hum as your grin only stretched wider. âSeemed to be working just fine, was it not?â You asked in reply, feeling as his hands gripped your thighs, spreading them apart to allow him a place to stand between before pulling you to the edge of his desk where your hips met his. âYou tell me, what do you think?â he replied, leaving you to gasp softly as you felt him pulse and twitch against your heat. âI think I have you wrapped around my little fingerâ you boldly claimed, your fingers walking up along his jacket before your arms looped around his neck, pulling yourself even closer to him but never fully closing the distance. âYou think so?â He asked in response, making you giggle. That same smug grin rested on your lips as electricity thrummed between you, your faces mere centimeters apart, waiting to see if he would cave in. Your gaze flit to his lips with heavy lids, enjoying the mental turmoil you were putting him through as he fought caving in immediately. âYou want me so bad? Come get meâ you whispered, your breath ghosting across his lips as they hovered so very close to his own. He needed you in ways he couldnât even begin to try and explain.
So he caved.
You felt his hand come to rest on the back of your head, fingers tangling in your hair as he pulled you even closer, finally closing the distance between you as his lips captured yours. The kiss was fiery, passionate and messy, a gravely groan leaving him into it. You could feel the rumble in his chest from it, paired with the way his lips danced against your own told you how long heâd been wanting this, how much heâd been needing this. Needing you. You couldnât help the smile that stretched to your lips into it, thinking of all the ways that you could push his limits. Your hand smoothed down his chest, toying with his tie as his tongue swiped across your bottom lip, an effort to push the kiss further into something more intimate. You giggled as you denied him, earning an impatient groan in response as his free hand groped your ass roughly, making you moan. The moment you did, he took his chance, his tongue exploring you as it tangled with your own in a messy clash of teeth, tongue and lips. It had you dizzy.
When he pulled back he looked you over, not caring this time if you laid witness to it or not. He took the moment to take in how your chest heaved with each labored breath, how your cheeks were flushed, lips shining with swapped saliva. âGonna keep staring at me? Or you gonna do something about that problem of yours?â You asked with a cocky grin, making him chuckle darkly. âOh it will be fixed, but it wonât be me fixing itâ he said, yanking on your hair to pull your head back, earning a pathetic whine from you as it made you look up at him, finding yourself unable to bite back in this position. âYou caused it, you fix itâ he ordered, making you moan as he rolled his hips against your own, brushing his painfully hard cock against your panty clad cunt, allotting you some much needed friction and stimulation. All you could do was look up at him, excitement and anticipation filling your gaze leaving him to chuckle. âNo witty come back to that? I give you the smallest taste of how good I can make you feel and you give up just like that, hmm?â He asked smuggly, making your face grow hot with defeat before he let up on his grip in your hair. âStripâ he commanded, making you stand up and work at untucking your shirt before unbuttoning it slowly. He watched as every button came undone, more of your gorgeous body was revealed to him, his eyes raking over your curves. The fabric soon dropped to the floor haphazardly next to his desk, to be forgotten about until later when it would be needed again. Next was your bra. His eyes were trained on you as he watched you unhook the backing, allowing it to slide down your arms and join your shirt in a growing pile. Your nipples had hardened from the temperature change, the exposure to the air and from the excitement coursing through you in anticipation of what was to come next. Then came your skirt, its simple button and zipper being undone allowing it to drop to the floor and pool around your feet with ease, earning a groan from him at the sight of you nearly naked before him. You hooked your thumbs into the sides of your panties, working them down from your hips before they fell to your ankles, leaving you to kick them off to the side with rest of the pile. You watched with much intrigue and entertainment as he seemed to twitch with anticipation and need for you, making you giggle.
âHow long has it been?â You asked curiously, a cocky grin on your lips and confidence in your tone as you looked at him, looping your arms around his neck. There it was again, your perfume, overwhelming his senses. âI beg your pardon?â He asked, brows furrowed and sending a rather defensive look your way. âHow long has it been?â You asked again, watching as he looked you up and down. âSince?â He asked in reply, not seeming to understand what you were hinting at, or maybe he preferred you just spit it out. âSince you had sex. Can tell by the tension in your shoulders and the way you practically moan with every touch that itâs been a whileâ you pointed out playfully, making him a little angry that you managed to get beneath his surface and figure him out so well. âYou best be careful of that mouth of yours. My kindness, even with you, has its limitsâ he responded, making you hum. âThen go ahead, be mean. Iâm a big girl, I can take itâ you challenged making him walk closer to you, inching you towards the edge of his desk. âYou want me to be mean, do you?â He asked, the rasp of his voice lowering to a much deeper tone, a crooked smile resting on his lips. He couldnât lie, the slight tinge of fear resting in your eyes when you felt your back hit his desk, telling you there was nowhere left to go, awakened something dark within him. Something carnal, animalistic. You looked like nothing more than helpless, vulnerable prey, and he was about to eat you alive. You couldnât deny the predatory look in his eyes certainly worked wonders on you in return. âDonât look so concernedâŠâ he started, bringing his hand up to cup your cheek gently before leaning in close, leaving his lips just millimeters from yours.
âIâm about to make your dayâ he finished, his words mixed with the feel of his breath ghosting your lips so closely send a shiver through you in excitement.
It wasnât long before his pants were around his ankles, thrusting his cock balls deep into your soaked cunt. Your shared panting and moans, paired with the creaking and screeching of the poor desk beneath you that had been slowly inching its way across the floor with each thrust, filled the room. Should anyone walk past his office, there would be no mistaking what was happening just behind the door. Though you supposed your moans could have likely alerted all of Zaun at this rate, with your first orgasm of the night already past you, itâd be a miracle if no one could hear you. Your head was tilted back as he drilled into you, gripping your hips with a bruising pressure as your arms looped around his neck for leverage. You watched as he looked down to the space where your bodies were connected, watching his length disappeared inside of you with ease. He couldnât help but to notice the little white ring that rested at the base of his length from your previous orgasm as the sound of his hips smacking roughly against your ass filled the room. âFuck! Oh gods, yes!â You moaned, making him grin. âHow long has it been?â He asked, looking to you, waiting for a response from you but your pleasure-idled mind was so foggy you could hardly understand what he was asking you. âSince? Oh fuck! Right there!!â You replied the best you could, tilting your head back again, leaving your tits just inches from his face as your back arched upwards towards him. âSince someone fucked you right. Since someone made you feel this goodâ he finished, making you whine as his hand grabbed your jaw, squishing your cheeks as he forced you to look back up at him. The cute pout that rested on your face, occasionally morphing into ones of pleasure each time his tip bullied your cervix, had him rutting into you harder. âNever! Not âtil you- oh!â You managed, making him chuckle as he relinquished you from his grip. âPathetic. You put up all that fuss, do all that teasing and yet I still manage to get you right where I want youâ he said through grunts of pleasure, his neatly slicked back hair slightly falling against his forehead that had a thin sheen of sweat. âFeels so good! Oh gods, Silco!â You moan pathetically, knowing he was exactly right but you didnât care. Youâd spend every night here like this with him if he made you feel this good every time.
You felt as that familiar sensation in your lower belly began to take root again as his lips captured your own in a messy but passionate kiss, your moans raising in pitch and growing closer together a clear sign that you were close. As if on que, his fingers traveled between your bodies, coming to rub your clit to give you that added bit of friction you so desperately needed. You gasped before moving your hips against his and his fingers, meeting his merciless thrusts and fucking yourself on his fingers. âYouâre right where you belong. Beneath me like this, cumming on my cock as I please you like no one else ever willâ he said, rubbing your clit faster to make up for the way his thrusts were beginning to lose rhythm. You were so close to finally falling over the precipice, your body feeling as if it were catching on fire as your every nerve ending lit up. His words were what sent you there. âYouâre mineâ he growled, biting into your shoulder as you came together, his bite sending you toppling over the edge into pure bliss, while your walls squeezed him tight, milking him of everything heâd been holding in for far too long. Your body twitched and spasmed with the intensity of your second orgasm of the night, a pleased hum leaving you as you felt him cum inside of you, throbbing repeatedly as he emptied everything into you.
You both sat there for a moment, basking in the afterglow of your orgasms together, fighting to catch your breath. You watched him smooth his hair back with his hand, doing his best to get it out of his face and back to how it was originally styled, or at least the closest he could get it. You smiled as he kissed you softly, leaving you to cup his dance gently in your hands. âAre you alright?â He asked into it, checking to make sure he hadnât overdone it and hurt you. You gave a hum then a giggle. âI feel wonderfulâ you said with a bubbly grin, making him chuckle as he continued to kiss you, not wishing to leave your arms or the taste of your sweet lips just yet. âGood, as do Iâ he replied, making you grin even wider. âFuck yes you doâ you said, playfully yet truthfully, making you both laugh. âOh is that so? Have I ruined anyone else for you?â He asked, the hint of possessiveness in his tone as his lips traced down your neck. âYou might have. Not that I care to find out, you said it yourself; this is exactly where I belong, and itâs exactly where I intend to stayâ you said, your head tilted a little to grant him better access to your sensitive skin. You heard him groan next to your ear as his lips lingered upon all your most sensitive spots.
What caught you by absolute surprise was the sensation of him throbbing within you, twitching to life again from inside of you. You gave a gasp with both intrigue and excitement as he looked to you with a grin. Apparently your words had let the monster out, because stay there you would for nearly the rest of the night, getting lost in one another without a care for how sore youâd be tomorrow. It was well worth it when you were with him.

FLUFFMAS DAY 21/22: chris realizes he does want to get married
seeing his gf as a bridesmaid makes him realize that maybe getting married wouldnât be so bad

a/n: so sry this didnât get out yesterday i was super busy đ

chrisâs POV:
I had never understood the hype around weddings, or even the need for them honestly. It all seemed like too much fuss and stress for one day, and if I wanted to spend the rest of my life with someone I didnât need to declare it in front of hundreds of people that I didnât really like.
But when Y/N asked me to be her date to her friendâs wedding, where she was a bridesmaid, I couldnât say no. Not to her. Even if I didn't enjoy weddings or having to get all dressed up I was gonna go and pretend to have fun because I knew it would make her happy.
On the day of the wedding I showed up to the venue a little early so I could find her before the ceremony began. I texted her telling her where I was so she could come find me, knowing I would get lost looking for her on my own.
âChris!â I heard her call from behind me and when I turned to her my jaw fell in shock. I had seen her dressed up before but not like this and I was in awe of how gorgeous she looked. I stood frozen, staring at her as she walked up to me laughing, âHi handsomeâ she smiled.
âI am the luckiest man aliveâ I smiled as I gently grabbed her waist, pulling her close to me, âYou look absolutely stunning baby.â I smiled at her. âThank you loveâ she blushed, âyou clean up pretty nice handsome.â She said as she adjusted my tie. âOnly for youâ I winked, âAs much as I would love to stay with your corny ass I do have bridesmaids duties I gotta get to so Iâll see you in a bit.â She said as she kissed me before heading off.
I managed to find a seat with some of Y/Nâs friends that I had met a few times and caught up with them while we waited for the ceremony to start. Once the ceremony began my eyes were immediately locked on Y/N as she gracefully walked down the aisle with one of the groomsmen.
She was carrying a small bouquet of flowers in her hand and her smile brightened when we locked eyes across the rows of people. Throughout the entire ceremony my eyes never left her. In their vows the couple talked about their love for each other and how they couldnât wait for the start of the rest of their lives.
Listening to their vows as I watched Y/N I knew she was it for me, as I saw her smile at her friend, her eyes flicking to mine for a moment, I wondered how I had ever not known I wanted to marry her. She could have a fancy castle wedding with a thousand people if she wanted, and I would be there with a smile on my face, grateful to be loved by her.
We spent the rest of the night dancing and laughing with her friends under twinkly lights that made her eyes glow. âYou are so beautiful.â I said quietly as she wrapped her arms around my neck as we swayed to a slow song. âThank you my love.â She smiled, kissing me gently. Her glowing presence captivated all of my attention.
The next day I found a jewelry store and with the help of her best friend I found a beautiful ring that I hoped she would love. When I came home, the ring tucked in my pocket, she was still asleep in bed. âMorning prettyâ I whispered as I laid back down next to her, pushing her hair out of her face.
âMhm, morningâ she whispered, half asleep, âI brought you coffee and your favorite muffinâ I smiled, knowing sheâd wake up. âFoodâ she said as she stuck her hand out, eyes still shut, âkiss firstâ I teased as she slowly opened her eyes. âNo gross I have morning breathâ she groaned, hiding her face, âand I donât give a flying fuckâ I laughed as I leaned over, kissing her gently before handing her her food.
I laid with her as she slowly woke up, with the help of her coffee and muffin, âWe got plans today, I need you to put on one of your pretty sundresses and be ready in two hours.â I told her, âWhat are we doing?â She asked, âthatâs for me to know and you to find out baby.â
Once she was dressed and ready I took her to a secluded spot on the beach, âWhat are we doing Chris?â She asked, confused. âWell I know the beach is your favorite place so I figured this was the perfect spotâ I smiled at her confusion, âperfect spot for what?â She asked, laughing.
âTo ask you to spend forever with meâ I smiled as I got on one knee, pulling the small velvet box out of my pocket. âChris?â She said in shock, her hand flying to her face to cover her bright smile.
âY/N, I have spent the last three years of my life having the pleasure of loving you and being loved by you. You have become my favorite person and everyday I learn something new about you that makes me fall even more in love with you. You are the most beautiful person Iâve ever met, inside and out, and when I saw you standing at that altar yesterday I knew I would be an idiot if I didnât marry you. Nothing in this world would make me happier than spending the rest of my life with you so Y/N, will you marry me baby?â I asked, smiling up at her through tears.
âYes! Oh my god! Yes Iâll marry you Chris!â She said as she choked through tears while I slid the ring on her finger, wrapping my arms around her waist as she clung to me. âOh my god! I love you so much, holy shit!â She laughed in disbelief as I held her tight against me.
Nick, Matt, and her best friend burst into cheers, as she turned to them, smiling in shock. âI knew you wanted someone to take pictures and I figured who better than Nick?â I smiled as she wiped her tears. âI canât wait to spend the rest of my life with you Chris.â She smiled as I kissed her, her lips pulled up into a smile against mine.
And even though I always said I would never cry at my wedding, when I watched her walk down the aisle towards me, I couldnât help it .

Hello! Wanted to start off and say how much I love your writing, and it's awesome you feel able to do it again. Thank you, and I hope you're having a good day!!!
Secondly, if your inbox isn't too full already, could I maybe request a little scenario of idw megs receiving a painting from a secret admirer so to speak? It's not exactly hard to find out who made it, doing a painting at cybertronian scale is a huge undertaking for a human, and would likely require some assistance (something i doubt would stay secret for long), but, despite their usual spunkiness, the human just got a little too nervous to gift it directly.
a/n : hi dear, thank you so much for the sweet message, i'm glad to hear you enjoy my writing ! i hope you're having a good day too. i hope i do justice to your request because it was so fun to write for <3
florence. megatron / gn!reader. sfw !
You once told him a story about a (rumoured) condition in which people, when confronted with profound artworks, are seized by a range of mysterious symptomsâfrom mild dizziness to falling to their knees, with some even faintingâthe Florence syndrome, as they called it. A strange and rare phenomenon in which one crumbles at the sight of intense beauty.
Megatron is aware of your passion for art. Your hands are often smudged with ink or paint whenever he sees you, dried flecks of grey and red adorning your forearms. Once, you had infamously splashed an entire bucket of paint over Rodimus, pleading to your captain that it was not premeditated. That he just had the spoiled luck of entering your makeshift art studio while you were 'experimenting'.
Work for you above the Lost Light was scarce, and in space, the days all blur into one â long and seemingly endless, no one stopped you from indulging in your hobbies. You had a range of artistic passions, but one Megatron finds curious: painting, both the act and the result of the action. The technique is different from what they did back on Cybertron. And Megatron cannot remember the last time he saw one, denied of such privileges as someone forged for the mines (and by the time he could roam the streets freely, there weren't many buildings left for him to set foot in. Regrettably, he made sure of that.)
He has seen you do it before, wrist moving in delicate concentration, guiding liquid paint â which he learned to be particles of pigment suspended in a drying oil â across a white canvas. You made it look effortless, like a dance you perform for yourself, one he privately wishes he could see more often. But these days, you were being secretive, often excusing yourself away from your usual table at Swerves to return to your studio, where the windows were tinted so that not even sly, conniving mechs like Whirl could peek inside. Everyone assumed you needed the solitude; living in a ship with over a hundred rowdy bots can overwhelm a person. So he lets you go to tend to your latest project, disappointed that even when suspended in space, the time you two shared passes so quickly.
He would be lying to himself to say that he wasn't curious, going as far as surprising himself by feeling jealous at the sight of Ultra Magnus and Fortress Maximus walking out of the studio â idly chatting in the hallway as if they hadn't just entered what is (currently) known as the most secretive place aboard the whole ship. Even Rodimus had thrown a fit at the rumour that the two point-one-percenters had seen your latest painting before he did, and Megatron was somewhat relieved that the former Prime acted as a distraction, afraid that you saw right through him, past his armour and down to his envy.
Until he sees the painting in front of his hab-suite, leaning against the door.
His servos twitched to touch, optics widening at the sight.
It was him.
You've painted him as he is, iron and silver, standing proudly under the light. His eyes red like a rising sun. It was almost like staring into the mirror, yet his image was looking away from the viewer â both he and the audience acting as discreet observers. But there was a sudden, slow pulling at his spark when he realised that even when he's not smiling in the portrait, you made him look kind. Gentle.
And the ex-warlord didn't know how to feel aside from astonishment. Is this how you see him? That despite his marred and ugly history, you see art in him ?
When he saw you the next day, optics skimming the crowd to land on a pair of nervous eyes, Megatron didn't even notice he was smiling â a small, rare gesture that had you blushing so beautifully.
You tried to act as if the painting wasn't from you, dismissing his 'thank yous' and shrugging it off with both hands in your pocket (as if Ultra Magnus and Fortress Maximus had not admitted to being the one to carry you above their open palms for hours so you could reach the corners of the giant canvas.) Megatron, however, doesn't need a confession. He didnât miss the satisfied grin you tried to hide when you saw the painting in his room, clearly cherished by the way it hung right where he could see it at all times.
Megatron has barely received anything in his life worth treasuring, but this painting was almost like a silent admission â intimate, sweet, something so far removed from what he thought was possible in his life.
So yes, he has heard of people trembling and shaking at the sight of grandiose paintings, going so far as to weep and collapse. Megatron couldn't understand it until he pictured you standing in the middle of your studio, neck craned to admire your portrayal of him â the vision enough to make his processor spin.

Hello! Could you write something about how Hannibal(Hannibal NBC) fell in love with a reader(preferably male, but female is okay too!)who is also a surgeon? Perhaps they could cross paths while working on the investigation of one of the cases? And what if the reader is cold, distant and paranoid, the one who keeps everyone at arm's length. I just absolutely LOVE this parallel between Hannibal and Franklin, because Hannibal would probably be "the Franklin" in this situation. It's okay if you're uncomfortable or don't want to write it! Give Me Attention (Hannibal Lecter x M! Reader)
Hi, I absolutely love the request because it strays so far from what Hannibal is (and believe me, I did take advantage to write a needy and pathetic Hannibal who's down for the reader.) So this might not be the most realistic but it's fun! Hope you enjoy it.
tags: down bad Hannibal, Hannibal finds reader endearing, even if they're rude, open ending??
You always prided yourself on your surgical precision, the clean lines of your incisions, the careful stitching that spoke of a quiet dedication to your craft. But the work before you nowâthe dissected realities of crime scenes rather than the sanitized sterility of an operating roomâwas a grotesque mockery of your lifeâs work. When Jack Crawford had approached you, his eyes weary and voice heavy with unspoken desperation, you had felt compelled to help, drawn in by the promise of stopping a monster. Little did you know, youâd be working alongside one.
Dr. Hannibal Lecter was an enigma wrapped in a facade of impeccable suits and polite smiles. From the moment you met, his gaze lingered too long, his questions probing too deeply. You wanted a professional relationship, nothing more. Yet, Hannibal seemed determined to weave himself into the very fabric of your life.
âDr. Lecter, I appreciate your insights, but I'm quite capable of drawing my own conclusions,â you said, after he had offered yet another piercing analysis of a body you were examining. Your tone was polite but distant, an invisible barrier you continually reinforced.
âOf course, my apologies. I find our collaboration most enlightening,â Hannibal responded, his voice smooth, betraying no hint of offense. âPerhaps we could discuss our theories over dinner? I believe a change of scenery could prove invigorating.â
You paused, the scalpel in your hand hovering above cold flesh. âThat wonât be necessary, Doctor. I prefer to keep my work at work.â You didnât miss the brief shadow that crossed his face before his polite smile returned.
âAs you wish.â
Despite your refusals, Hannibalâs attempts at friendship only escalated. It started with chance encounters. Youâd see him at the coffee shop where you grabbed your morning espresso, a polite nod exchanged, nothing more. Then it was the bookstore you frequented on quiet Sundays, Hannibal browsing the aisles, a thoughtful expression as he picked through titles youâd just glanced at minutes before.
But it wasnât just public spaces. It was recommendations left on your desk, notes about books or wines he thought youâd enjoy, reservations made at restaurants youâd mentioned offhandedly during meetings. It was becoming too much, his presence too suffocating.
One evening, as you were leaving Quantico, you found him waiting by your car. The parking lot was nearly empty, the streetlights casting long shadows. âDr. Lecter, this is becoming inappropriate,â you said, your tone sharper than before.
âMy intentions are purely of a friendly nature,â he explained, stepping closer. âI find your mind fascinating. Itâs not often I meet someone whose intellect I admire as much.â
âYou need to stop this,â you insisted. âWhatever you think is happening between us, it isnât. I'm not interested in becoming your friend nor do I find you interesting. Now, leave me alone." You hissed, unlocking your car and sliding inside before he could respond.
Hannibal stood silently, the sharp sting of your words cutting through the cold air between you. He watched as you slid into your car, his expression unreadable, a mask of calm painted over the tumult inside him. For a moment, he remained motionless, the weight of rejection settling heavily on his shoulders.
As your car's headlights flickered on, casting long shadows on the pavement, Hannibal's thoughts churned. Rejection was an unfamiliar and unwelcome guest in his life, one he was not prepared to entertain graciously. His eyes narrowed slightly as he watched you drive away, the tail lights blurring into the growing dusk.
In the solitude of the empty parking lot, Hannibal allowed himself a rare moment of vulnerability. "Not interested," the words echoed in his mind, a stark contrast to the usual praises and desires he elicited in others. His interest in you had been genuine, profound even, transcending the usual boundaries that defined his relationships. You were a challenge, a riddle wrapped in the enigma of your own moral and professional fortitude, and he had failed to unravel you.
Turning slowly, Hannibal walked back to his own vehicle, his steps measured, the grace of his movements belying the turmoil within. As he drove home, the streets empty and bathed in the glow of streetlights, he contemplated your words.
"Leave me alone." The finality of it should have been a deterrent, a clear signal to cease and desist. But Hannibal Lecter was not a man deterred by the conventional responses of others. To him, every human interaction was a complex dance of wills and desires, and he was a master choreographer.
In the quiet of his kitchen, Hannibal poured himself a glass of Chianti, the rich red liquid swirling in the glass, a dark mirror to his thoughts. He pondered the nuances of your rejection, searching for a sliver of meaning or a crack in your armor. Was there truly no interest? Or was it a defense mechanism, a wall built to keep the worldâand perhaps himâdecidedly out?
"You do find me interesting," he murmured to himself, the words a whisper against the clink of the glass. "You must. The mind like yours cannot help but be intrigued by the anomalies of human behavior, and I," he paused, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, "am certainly an anomaly."
Resolved, Hannibal set his glass down. Your rejection, while clear and stinging, was but another layer of the complexity that made you so fascinating. He would give you space, for now, to contemplate and perhaps to miss the dance of intellects that had begun to form between you. Patience, after all, was a virtue he possessed in abundance.
Tomorrow, Hannibal would return to Quantico, his demeanor unchanged, polite and professional. He would respect your wishes, maintaining a distance. But he would watch, and wait, and perhaps, in time, you would see that the dance was far from over. The game, as they say, was afoot, and Hannibal Lecter was never one to walk away from a challenge, especially not one as intriguing as you.

bona dea - a goddess/her festival subligaculum - underwear
Chapter VII
The house is filled with the overpowering scent of strong wine and blooming flowers. Food and drink is being served, the atrium of the roman villa that belongs to the senior magistrate and his wife transformed into a place of worship as much as a place to celebrate.
The annual winter festival of Bona Dea, one of the most important (and as some argue, fun) nights of the year for the women of Rome. A tribute to the goddess that promises fertility along with chastity and healing, in return asking for her worshippers to hold the values of a good, roman wife. Her celebrations allow strong wine and sacrifices led by the Vestals and most importantlyâban all men from the villa and its grounds. Just laying eyes upon the holy celebration and the rites would be enough to condemn a man to a life of blindness.
It is so different from the worship you are used to from Vesta. She is quiet, a prayer whispered into the flames, the crackling noise of the wood, the only company for women who ask for safety and blessing on lonely nights.
You have barely been able to eat, despite the food seeming worthy of the gods. Bona Dea has always made you nervous, the prospect of trying to effortlessly fulfill the rituals that have been passed down from generations of women before you. But the prospect of meeting Acacius in mere hours had you trembling the moment you rose from your bed this morning. The hours seemed to tick by agonizingly slowly all day, making you wonder if the sun would ever set.
But it did. And with the early darkness of the winter night came the loss of appetite. And the later it becomes, the worse you feel. The comfortable anticipation starts mixing with an anxiety youâve rarely felt before. Nothing can go wrong.
Of course, something goes wrong. When you reach the large front entrance of the atrium, the one you hoped to slip out of unnoticed after fulfilling your duties, is far too busy. The columns are decorated with skillfully woven vines, the entire room alight with candles and torches. A thin layer of smoke still hangs in the air from the rituals you conducted earlier, making the space feel even more sacred.
You settle on making another round, speaking some words here and there, disappearing into a crowd that has evidently already enjoyed the strong wine forbidden to them on other occasions. You catch a glimpse of Severa chatting animatedly with a few other women and duck away just in time to avoid attracting their attention.
It is already late, far later than you meant to leave. You know Acacius will be waiting. He has no rites to attend to tonight. Instead, he will be able to casually stroll out into hisâ
The gardens. Just like the other houses, there are spacious gardens attached to the villa you are currently trailing through. There has to be a way to slip out into that direction and get up Palatine Hill, which is rather close. Pretending to long for some fresh air, you step into the lush green, plants and trees imported from places where they do not wither in the winter. They lend themselves to your cause perfectly, barely allowing the guests inside to catch a glimpse of your white stola as you tread the small paths, the light around you becoming less and less. You slip past a few trees, fight your way through bushesâand are met with solid stone. Of course. A wall to keep out everyone who tries to sneak into the gardens. Or in your case, sneak out of them.
Your heart is pounding in your chest. Heading back inside, finding another wayâit will take too long. He could be gone by then. With a small shake of your head, you step forward and let your hands run over the cold stone. The moon is hiding behind clouds, giving you essentially no light to work with. Still, you somehow manage to find two crevices to tuck your fingers into and pull yourself up. Panting slightly once you've heaved yourself up onto the stone wall, you look back for a brief moment, catching a glimpse of the lit up villa through the trees, listening to the voices and music drifting over to you.
Suddenly, it feels like you're looking down upon your whole life, like you are seeing yourself from the perspective of the gods you so worship. You try and think of something to hold you back, any excuse to just jump back into the gardens and have no one ever be the wiser about the ideas in your head. You think about the dishonor you may bring to the Vestals, to your family. To him. The punishment they would settle on. The whispers that would follow you, even after death.
You try and think of a good reason to stay. But not a thought comes to mind.
So, you jump down on the side that leads further down the path and up to the house with the lavender gardens, a path you do not wish to leave now that youâve started walking it. Even if it leads straight down to hell.
***
Acacius sighs quietly as he gets up from the bench he sat down on what feels like hours ago. His mind is as restless as his body, his head spinning a different direction every time the wind carries the sound of what could be someone sneaking toward him through the night. The statue of Mars stands quietly next to him as he begins to pace back and forth, eventually expanding his rounds onto the stairs. Up. Down. Have you changed your mind? Back. Forth. An invisible tug of war with the thoughts racing through his head.
The small pavilion is lit by only a few candles, providing just enough light to see but not enough to shimmer too far through the trees. On Bona Dea, the whole town below is alight with the celebrations of the women. Song, Chatter and Light travelling through the night air, distractions that lay like a shroud around your meeting. A protection not unlike your veil. An indication that what lays below is not to be touchedâan indication he so desperately longs to ignore.
It's not any sound that makes him turn his head. It is an instinct that he cannot name that has him turn towards the path below. And there you are. Looking almost like a ghost, dressed in a festive, white stola that swishes around your body as you hurry the last few steps, the top of your head crowned by the very veil he just saw in his mind. And he suddenly feels like he cannot wait a second longer.
Acacius meets you halfway up the stairs, his arms sliding around your waist like they belong there. Like a child resting its head in their mothers lap, like a soldier returning to his village after the war. Like the most natural homecoming, a nestling of a body against that of its lover.
âAcaciusââ You whisper his name, a relief that it can finally fall from your lips again. âIâm sorry for making you wait.â
He hums quietly, his thumb rubbing gentle circles into your side. âI would wait all night for you, Dulcissima.â He cannot see the blush that spreads over your cheeks but he can hear it in the small breath that escapes you. âMay I?â
Keeping one arm firm around your waist, he leads you up the stairs, towards Mars who stares into the distance. Unlike the stone eyes of the statue that are forced to stare at one point on the horizon for eternity, Acaciusâs eyes never leave you. Even when he leans down to the small tray he brought along earlier, grabbing a glass filled with red wine and handing it to you, he keeps his focus on you. You barely get to whisper a thank you before a frown spreads over his face. âWhat happened to your dress?â
âI had to climb the garden wall,â you mutter sheepishly, embarrassed that your original plan has so clearly gone awry. He watches as you take a sip of the wine before you continue. âI will clean it in the morning, it is not worth speaking of.â
Acacius doesn't agree. It feels like another thing he's making you do. A visual representation of the way he is soiling you, tainting your beautiful white gown with reminiscents of the dirt and grime that stains his armour after returning from battle. âIt is my turn for apologies. You should not have toââ
He is shut up by your lips coming to rest on his. He can taste the red wine he picked out for tonight and by the gods, he does not think there is anything he likes more. Picking out what you taste like for him.
There is a small tremor in your body, an insecurity that he immediately recognizes as inexperience. He sighs into the kiss at that, his taunt muscles finally relaxing as he blindly reaches behind himself, finding the stone bench and lowering both of you onto it, never breaking your kiss. Sweet. You just taste so sweet.
He allows you to dictate the pace, only pulling back when you do, your breath coming in short pants. His forehead rests against yours as he reaches down to take his own glass, nudging you until you toast him, glass against glass creating a light melody that fades as quickly as it has appeared. You both drink in silence, only the distant noises of the celebrations and those of the garden around you reaching your ears.Â
âMay I ask you something?â He hums, his voice low in his throat as he watches you raise your wine to your lips, the flames of the candles reflecting in the glass and liquid, sending smooth shadows over your face. At your nod, he continues. âWhy did you ask to meet tonight? Bona Dea must mean a lot to you.â
You smile softly, though there is still a hint of nervousness present in your eyes. âThe gods are busy looking down onto the feasts.â It is the unspoken part of your response that makes Acacius feel almost light-headed. If the goddesses eyes are truly on the feasts happening in the city, they are too busy to see you under the cover of darkness. One of his hands is still supporting your waist and he uses the other to set his glass down again before coming up to caress your ankle. A sliver of skin pokes out from under your stola, giving him a taste of what is waiting below the linen and silk that you are wrapped in. He feels you lean in, a hand gently coming to rest on his shoulder for support as he maneuvers you onto his left leg. In one smooth motion, Acacius runs his calloused hand past the hem of your stola and up your calf. You shiver, shifting slightly. âAcaciusââ
It's somewhere between a whisper and a begging command. He forces himself to pause, his hand resting on your knee, the fabric of your dress bunched up around his forearm. âDo you want me to stop?â You shake your head silently. And he decides that maybe, he can push a bit further. âIs this why you wanted to meet?â
He can practically see you pause, your eyes flickering nervously back and forth. He may be completely wrong. It may not even have occurred to youâthis. That you could do this. Because technically, you canât.
âMaybe,â you whisper and he smiles at the subtle hint in your tone that sounds less like a maybe and more like a yes. And he'd be lying if he said he didn't have the same train of thought. He just didn't expect you to want him like this. Hell, he barely expected you to show up. Not with how much you are both risking.
âIâm sure you knowââ you whisper as his hand travels further, slowly but surely inching up your thigh. âThat Vestals are sworn to celibacy.â
He gives as gentle a squeeze as he can, watching with a smirk as you bite your lip, stopping yourself from letting out a noise. God, how he wants to hear that noise. How he wants all of Rome to hear the noise, wants to hear his name fall from your lips as he gives you the pleasure you've been denied your entire life.
âThere are other ways,â he muses, his thumb trailing over the edge of what he assumes to be a subligaculum covering your most private area. âOther ways of pleasure.â He cocks an eyebrow at you, his hand gently rubbing over the soft skin of your inner thigh, not quite crossing the invisible threshold yet. âDont tell me you have not discovered any of them?â
This time, he can watch as the blush spreads over your cheeks and down toward your throat. His gaze softens slightly. âYou do not have to tell me, if you do not wish to.â Acacius sighs quietly, his eyes watchful, trying to gauge if he's gone too far. If he should retreat. âDoes this feel good? We do not have toââ He can feel himself stumbling over his words. âI do not wish to force myself upon you. We do not have to do anything if you are not ready.â
âWhat if I'm never ready?â You whisper before you can stop yourself, resting your head against his shoulder and he tuts as he looks down at you.
âThen we will never do anything.â
âGo on.â It is a whispered plea. And Acacius gently obliges. He knows how to give commands that demand to be followed. But he also knows how to take them.
His fingers sneak under the delicate cloth that forms your underwear, his index finger finding the space between your legs already deliciously wet. He can feel himself getting hard at just this. The thought that merely sitting on his lap, kissing him, feeling his hands on your leg, is enough to arouse you to this point. He swipes his thick index fingers through your folds, making you clutch onto his shoulder and whimper in surprise. A low chuckle leaves his lips as he stills his hand again, not wanting to overstimulate you right away. He is keeping that trick up his sleeve for later.
âYour body does not know of your vows, dulcissima,â he rasps, his beard scratching against your skin as he places soft kisses against your neck. He feels you shiver and while he is sure some of it can be attributed to the excitement, he has a feeling the cold is also doing its part. He has a sudden urge to pick you up and carry you inside. If you truly want him to see you, to bare yourself before himâthe first man to ever touch you like thisâit cannot be on a cold stone bench.
âLet me take you inside.â

What Arcane characters would gift you for Christmas!
Jinx, Vi, Ekko, Viktor, Jayce
(Semi crack Drabble⊠sorry for going super long with Viktorâs and Jayceâs HCs. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH)
(Jayce is Hispanic in my hc :3)
ENJOY AND HAVE FUN LOVE YALL<3
Not proofread
JINX
Hear me out⊠the first thing she would plan to gift you are decorated safety googles.
As a matter of fact everything she gifts you is handmade!
She knows you love to spend time with her when sheâs in her workshop and the extra spare of googles she had were pretty crappyâŠ
âUgh, these old things? Pfft, they look like theyâve been through a freakinâ explosion⊠oh wait, they probably have! We gotta get you a new pair soon toots!â
Theyâd be totally decked out! Lots of character as she calls it.
âOkay toots check it out! Maximum protection but most importantly! They got style!â
The googles themselves would be in her classic style, very colorful paint, cute little heart scribbles all around! And of course lots of glitterâŠ.
â"I mean, you've got to stay safe while causing mayhem, right? And hey, if we're blowing stuff up together, you'll definitely need these. Plus, I made them perfectly for you. No one else will have goggles like these... trust me!"
I totally see her adding little handmade jewelry from her gears and spare parts, would totally make you a belt or choker out of spare bullets.
Vi
She would totally panic on what to get you for Christmas. Like what if you suddenly hate the thing youâve loved since the very beginning sheâs known you???
Would end up both buying and making you something!
Sheâs make you something small but meaningful
âOkay Okay fine! You can open mine now. Just donât laugh too hard CupcakeâŠâ
Youâd open the poorly wrapped gift to uncover a bright pink scarf she knitted you! The stitching is a mess.. there a holeâs through the project (no doubt a missed stitch) but in all honesty it so cute you feel like your heart might explode.
"Yeah, I know I'm not, uh, the best at this kind of thing," she mutters, scratching the back of her neck, "but I figured you could use something to keep warm... and, you know, 'cause it's winter. And... you're important to me."
Guys please tell her she did an amazing job PLEASE.
She would also totally buy you a pair of combat boots! Totally saved up for months in advance.
She loves the idea of being able to match and have a bit of her style on you!
Ekko
Just like Jinx (sobs) heâd also make something for you!
The first thing heâd give you would be a little sketch book full of drawings of you from random moments throughout your relationship he remembers oh so clearly.
"I've been working on it for a while... It's... it's just a bunch of drawings. I mean, not just anything. Stuff that made me think of you. Stuff we've done, or things I hope we do. I don't know, it just felt like the best way to show how I feel about... well, us."
Okay he would also totally make you matching jewelry (matching clock hand necklaces?)
Youâd force him to take the hour hand since itâs shorter (heheheh little man)
Once you explain your reasoning as to why he should take the smaller one he sighs disappointedlyâŠ
"Okay, okay, I get it," he finally says, a little less playful now, his voice softening. "I guess if you want me to wear it, I can..."
Then, a grin creeps back onto his face as he adds, "But don't think I'm letting you off the hook with the minute hand. You're wearing that one for sure." He places the hour hand necklace around his neck, the smaller pendant resting there, and looks up at you with that mischievous gleam in his eye.
He pauses, holding up his necklace, "I'm still the one with the bigger job. You'll just have to keep up." A proud smug smirk now rests on his face.
Viktor
FUCK WHERE DO I BEGIN I LOVE THIS MAN
o k a y. He would just like Vi panic⊠not because he doesnât know what to get you but because he totally is going Christmas shopping late⊠very very late.
As much as I would love to say heâd make some little invention to make your day easier and give it to you for Christmas I donât see it happening.
Not because he wouldnât do it but because he already does it all the time! A little example, youâre late for work often? A little robot that hits you with a plastic squishy hammer every morning at 7 am waking you up when he canât!
Heâd definitely want to make Christmas special, I see him buying you something and then doing something special for you too!
Christmas morning would be greeted with warm hugs and kisses along with an even warmer bowl of potato soup!
He wanted to make sure he perfected his motherâs BramboraÄka recipe. It was a once a year meal him and his mother shared every Christmas day.
Heâs not a good cook by any means⊠but this is the one dish he can make and oh boy can he make it.
"Don't expect perfection," he says with a small, self-conscious smile, as you catch him sneaking a taste of the soup. Viktor looks up, his gaze softening. "I hope you like it," he says, and despite his usual perfectionism, there's a quiet pride in his voice. You take a sip, and the rich flavors of mushrooms, potatoes, and herbs immediately comfort you, just like his mother's love must've comforted him all those years ago.
OKAY for the making gift he planned I see him commissioning something due to the fact a lot of his inventions lack aesthetics.
Specifically I see him commissioning a music box that functions as a a jewelry box as well! He would have loved to make it himself but he was worried he wouldnât have gotten the look right.
"Do you like it?" he asks, his voice softer than usual, as if he's worried about the reception. "I had it made... I thought... it might remind you of us."
The detail was breathtaking-floral patterns etched into the surface, with tiny gears and delicate metalwork accenting the edges. The craftsmanship was stunning, and you couldn't help but run your fingers over the smooth finish.
you lifted the lid, and a gentle, lilting melody began to play. It was slow and sweet, a tune that felt timeless, and as you stared at the tiny figurines inside, your breath caught.
His fingers fidgeted with the edge of his cane, his gaze flicking between you and the music box. "I commissioned it," he admitted, his voice quieter now. "I had the craftsman use a sketch I made. It's how I see us... in my mind. How I feel when I hold you." He paused, his expression softening. "I thought... I thought you deserved something that would remind you of that. Of... how much you mean to me."
Jayce
Oh hon⊠Jayce would spoil you rotten.
Iâm talking presents are overflowing underneath the tree.
You thought you lost your favorite piece of clothing? WRONG! He commissioned for more to be made in different colors and textures for you.
All the fragrances in the world he knew you would enjoy.
Cozy adorable pajamas we would give you Christmas morning so you could cuddle up drinking hot chocolate.
Spends Christmas Eve spoiling you and cuddling and being so tooth rottenly sweet.
Itâs Christmas Eve, the scene was almost overwhelming. The living room looked like a perfectly curated holiday catalog-twinkling lights, a roaring fireplace, and, of course, an absurd number of gifts. Jayce sat cross-legged beside the tree, an excited grin lighting up his face as he handed you the first box. He had merely grinned, sheepish yet unrepentant. "What can I say? I got carried away?.â
"Open this one first," he urged, nearly vibrating with excitement. Inside was a bottle of an exquisite fragrance, the glass etched with delicate, swirling designs. It smelled divine-rich, warm, and entirely you.
"I figured you'd like that," he said eyes carefully watching everyone expression you make. You swear if he had a tail it would be swishing uncontrollably right now.
Christmas Day would be you spending Christmas day at his motherâs house!
(Listen Iâm hc them as hispanic because for one HIS MOMS NAME HIS XIMENA⊠and two because why not :3 )
You have a great relationship with his Mother, she absolutely adores you and sees you as her daughter.
Thereâs lots of yummy food sheâs prepared⊠perhaps too much for just 3 people?
Nonetheless, a pot of pozole, tamales de puerco and de dulce! And of course she made jayceâs favorite choco flan!
God she urges to to eat until you nearly pop! You have to undo your belt by the end of the nightâŠ
"Come, sit!" his mom insisted, pulling out a chair for you. "Jayce told me you've never had my tamales. That's a crime! Here, start with this." She placed one on your plate, her eyes twinkling.
Jayce sat beside you, his grin widening as you took your first bite. "Good, right?" he asked, nudging you playfully.
You could only nod, savoring the perfectly seasoned masa and tender filling.
Later in the evening, when everyone was too full to move, Jayce leaned over and slipped his hand into yours. His eyes were soft, his voice low as he said, "I'm glad you're here. Thisâ" he gestured to the lively scene around you, "âfeels perfect with you."

Mc inserts x TWST characters
(basically non-yuu pairings I think about instead of my inbox :p)
Ignyhide vice!Mc x Jamil Viper
Mc is probably twisted from one of the little demon goons, and it makes your contrast with Jamil charmingly obvious. Youâre both vices in the basketball club with an outside connection to your wardens (you figured a physical activityâll ward Idiaâs eye away) and you both hate your jobs to a comedic degree. The connection is actually really sweet and subtle!! Atleast until book 6 when Mc is complaining about their ego trippy boss while basically eating out of Jamilâs hand, feeding him information like the layout and hierarchy of styx,, as Idiaâs super exclusive assistant itâs only fair to give your guests a full tour!
âgeez! And he just gets so flippy-floppy, yknow? Heâs got this thing about energy drinks now so Iâve been diluting them, itâs such a pain!â
âIt might just be a defect with housewardens. Have you ever heard of the incompetency theory?â
Card soldier!Mc x Malleus Draconia
okay picture this- Mc is comepletely wasted and coming off the high from a holiday party that was totally killer. You wander into the woods past campus and find yourself at a little abandoned cottage, itâs like 100% cozy enough to chill in before stumbling back to the dorms. You continue heading there for pregames/drunken shenanigans, meeting up with some hot guy that hangs around sometimes. Youâre fully blindsided when your âlittle buddyâ is kicking heartslabyul ass during a spelldrive tourney..
âYoooooo, Mally, you must be really fun at parties. Want taâ go with me?â
âI canât say Iâve ever been invited to a âragerâ before, but it sounds.. enjoyable. I accept.â
Ignyhide freshman!Mc x Deuce Spade
Youâre a shaking mess during your first track meet. Itâs a graduation requirement to take at least one gym class before the end of freshman year, and youâd rather die than take flight class with all those scary seniors!! Your vice had enough sense to convince you into not dropping out, heâd said that âtrack is low stress!â And âyouâll enjoy itâ >:( you canât believe heâd lie to your face like that!! (Is this the AI revolution??) You guess itâs not too bad though, youâve even started strength training with a new friend. Heâs a little short tempered, but it could be a lot worse.
âhey, I had no idea ignyhide kids were into track! I thought itâd be too much sun,,â
âWeâre not vampires. I wouldnât clown on you for the tea in your thermos, so lay off.. heh, thereâs totally a dormouse in there.â
Scarabia housewarden!Mc x Leona Kingscholar
Itâs pretty rare to see Leona of all people in your reserved pool chair, but plenty of weird stuffâs happened during your senior case study. Youâre this close to getting your big shiny diploma- and a little rest now and then wonât hurt anybody! Savanaclawâs housewarden has only had his position since last year, and youâve held yours through all four. After knowing of each other for so long, itâs only logical that youâd become good friends! (Not that he calls you that)
âSo youâre graduating, huh? Hope that brat you choseâll fill your shoes, youâve worked pretty hard.â
âawh, youâre such a sap,, Iâm sure youâll like Kalim, heâs no idiot. I promise to visit whenever you decide to graduate, but itâll be a lot easier if i get that job in the castle!â
Octavinelle sophmore!Mc x Jack Howl
Poor Jack has to deal with everyone elseâs business on top of his own education, when does he get a break? That ramshackle prefectâs looking for leads on how to beat those twins in the water, and only one face comes to mind. Youâre his coworker at his temp job, and you owe him a favour (atleast from your perspective, he doesnât hold it over your head) because with your grades Azulâs got it out for you. Heâs begging for you to help him out- and who are you to deny those puppy eyes?
âJack you canât tell him! The housewardenâll make me quit, I need this job! :(((â
âwoah, itâs not like Iâm gonna blackmail you.. what kind of guy do you think I am?â
Savanaclaw freshman!Mc x Epel Felmier
Youâre lost, stressed and so confused in your first year :( it feels like everything is going wrong all the time!! Itâs probably like 10x worse because youâre very tall and so built, but nobody cares to peer up at the cute giraffe ears on your head! Youâve been challenged by so. many. seniors. (and you win against all of them, youâre no pushover) but youâre tired of the beef. Epel just thinks youâre the coolest person in the room, and is always saying he wants to get freaky fridayed with you. But he doesnât get the struggle!! Atleast Jack cares enough to tell him youâre just not liking it at school, and it makes Epel kick into action- heâs not letting you drop out, so please wait until he transfers!!
Pomefiore Junior!Mc x Rook Hunt
Youâre convinced that Rook c. Hunt is the worst guy in all of twisted wonderland (C for creep)! And it SUCKS because he went from your rebellious savanaclaw boytoy to.. whatever he is. (Howâd you miss the warning signs when you were tongueing him??) You can always see his stupid bob in your peripheral- but youâve rationalized that if you watch him, then he only sees what you want him to see! Itâs keeping your friends close and your enemies closer, just until graduation. And it does work, until you realize youâve given Rook an inch that heâs turned into a mile. Youâll probably never get rid of him now, but whatâs the point anymore?
âAh, mon cher! You always enchant me with your passionate gaze, Iâm honoured to be the object of your attention!â
âuh.. sure thing, hon. Whatever you say.â
Diasomnia Senior!Mc x Idia Shroud
Youâre a highly educated noble from the mysterious land of Briar Valley. You are poised, weirdly formal, and utterly incompetent with your newest area of study- contemporary technology. Youâve tried to convince yourself that itâs pointless, they donât even use it at home! But if you want to travel anytime before the collapse of human civilization, it must be done. youâre insatiable with your thirst for knowledge, and completely enamoured with having first hand experience with every era of mortal tech. It also happens to be almost impossible to revive your âKno-Keyaâ once it has decided to die. That is where Idia Shroud comes in.
âIn exchange for the revival of my electronic mailing device i am willing to offer an extensive dowry befitting of your station and technological necromancy skill. Will it suffice?â
âI literally only charged your phone, uh.. WOAH, A DOWRY?? I donât have the space for five horses!! Iâm totally not prepped for the marriage route, I havenât the wiki yet!â

unraveling threads
Pairing â coriolanus snow x female!reader Word Count? 1.4k Summary â Modeling for Tigris leads to an unexpectedly tense encounter with her cousin, Coriolanus, that leaves him questioning his composure. Tags: some cute fluff, some indecent exposure, flustered coriolanus AN: Something I wrote in-between classes, something cute & sweet & not too long. lol hope y'all enjoy. again, do not plagarize or copy my work, if you do you're going to hell.
The workshop buzzed with the creative chaos that was Tigrisâs signature. Bolts of fabric spilled from their shelves, pooling in soft heaps on the floor. Pinned sketches of daring designs adorned the walls, each one a whisper of ambition and artistry. You stood in the center of it all, perched on the raised wooden platform framed by three mirrors. Todayâs projectâa delicate long-sleeve blouse with sheer detailing and an intricate open necklineâfelt like something out of a dream, shimmering faintly under the warm afternoon light. The soft fabric hugged your frame like a secret meant only for you. You had been friends with Tigris since before she started attending fashion school, and when she asked if you would help her with her projects, it felt natural to say yes. She needed someone to model her workâher doll, her museâand you couldnât resist the idea. Youâd stepped in to be her muse and âliving mannequin,â thrilled to help a friend bring her visions to life. âWhat girl doesnât like playing dress-up?â It was fun to see her artistic vision come to life on your body, and even more so to support her as she poured her heart into every stitch. Sometimes, you wondered if she realized how much you truly enjoyed being part of her creative world.
Tigris circled you, her sharp eyes taking in every angle of the unfinished design. âStay still,â she instructed, her tone clipped but not unkind. Her fingers deftly adjusted the fabric near your collarbone. âThe neckline is tricky. If you move too much, the stitching mightââ Her words were cut off by a faint but unmistakable rip.
The silence that followed was heavy. You froze, glancing down at the blouse in the mirror. A seam along the neckline had given way, causing the fabric to slip lower on one side, baring more of your chest than you intended. Your breath caught, heat rushing to your cheeks as you instinctively clutched at the torn material to keep it in place.
âWell,â Tigris sighed, straightening and pushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear. âI warned you, didnât I? Itâs not a disaster, though. I can fix it.â She stepped back, scanning the damage with a critical eye. âJust stay here. Donât move, or itâll get worse. Iâll grab my sewing kit.â
âI didnât move,â you protested softly, your tone tinged with indignation and humor. Your reflection in the mirror betrayed your flustered amusement, caught somewhere between embarrassment and mischief.
Tigris waved you off with an exasperated flick of her hand, already walking toward the adjoining room. âOf course you didnât,â she muttered absently as she disappeared.
Left alone, you sighed, holding the torn blouse carefully in place as you studied yourself in the mirror. The design, even in its incomplete state, was stunning. The sheer sleeves were embroidered with delicate golden threads, catching the light like tiny strands of spun sunlight. But now, with the neckline slipping dangerously low, the blouse seemed to transform from ethereal elegance to something daringly seductive. A small smile tugged at your lips. Perhaps the rip wasnât such a disaster after all.
The sound of the door creaking open behind you pulled you from your thoughts. Assuming it was Tigris, you didnât bother turning around. âDid you find theââ The words died on your lips as you glanced over your shoulder.
Coriolanus Snow stood in the doorway, his tall frame framed by the soft glow of the hallway light. His usually composed expression was frozen in surprise, his pale blue eyes locked on you. His gaze flickered to the torn neckline of the blouse, lingering for a fraction too long before darting away.
âCoriolanus,â you said, your voice calm despite the sudden tension thickening the air. âI didnât know you were coming by.â
His mouth opened slightly, but no words came out. For someone who always seemed to have a sharp reply or calculated observation, he looked completely undone. âIâI thought Tigris was here,â he stammered at last, his usual smoothness replaced by a rare awkwardness. His hand tightened on the doorknob, his knuckles pale against the polished brass.
âShe stepped out,â you explained, adjusting the fabric with deliberate slowness. âThe blouse ripped. She went to get her sewing kit.â
His jaw clenched, the muscles working beneath his pale skin as if he were physically willing himself not to look at you again. âI shouldnât interrupt,â he said stiffly, already stepping back toward the door. His movements were abrupt, almost frantic, as though the very air in the room burned him.
âYouâre not interrupting,â you said, tilting your head slightly. A teasing smile danced on your lips, the sight of his flustered expression too tempting to ignore. âUnless youâre afraid of a little torn fabric.â
His eyes flicked to the torn neckline, and for a moment, he forgot himself. The fabric had slipped just enough to bare the soft curve of your chest, still modest but undeniably daring in its exposure. The delicate embroidery and sheer material only added to the effect, catching the warm light and creating a shimmering contrast between what was hidden and what wasnât. He could he should look awayâshould step back and give you spaceâbut his gaze lingered a fraction too long, drawn to the elegance of the moment. It wasnât just the exposure that held his attention; it was the way you stood there, unbothered, one hand carefully holding the fabric in place while the other rested at your side, as if you hadnât noticed how the blouse now seemed to toe the line between sophistication and seduction. The faint smile on your lips, almost amused, only made the image more arresting. He blinked, realizing too late that his hesitation betrayed him, and he forced his gaze upward, his expression carefully blank.
His cheeks flushed a faint pink, the first crack in his stoic façade. âIâll come back later,â he muttered, his voice strained. Before you could say anything else, he turned and fled, the door clicking shut behind him.
Later That Day
When Tigris returned minutes later, she found you still standing on the platform, the torn blouse carefully held in place. âThis design,â she muttered as she worked to repair the seam, her skilled fingers moving with practiced ease, âis going to be the death of me. But itâll be worth it when itâs finished.â
You hummed in agreement, though your thoughts were elsewhere. Coriolanusâs reaction played on a loop in your mind, each detail more amusing than the lastâthe widening of his eyes, the faint flush creeping up his neck, the way he couldnât seem to get out of the room fast enough. For someone so composed, so calculated, it had been thrilling to see him unravel so completely.
âI didnât move,â you murmured again, a quiet chuckle escaping your lips. Tigris glanced up briefly, raising an eyebrow at your cryptic remark, but said nothing.
Later, you found Coriolanus in the sitting area near the back of the workshop. He was hunched over a teacup, the porcelain dwarfed by his long fingers. His back was to you, but you could see the tension in his shoulders, the rigid line of his posture. Tigris was already there, leaning casually against the table with an amused smile playing on her lips.
âSomething wrong, cousin?â she asked lightly, her tone laced with faux innocence. Coriolanus didnât look up, his gaze fixed intently on the steaming tea as though it held the answers to all of lifeâs problems. âNo,â he said curtly, his voice clipped and controlled.
Before Tigris could respond, a soft laugh escaped your lips, drawing both their attention. You leaned casually against the doorway, still dressed in the repaired blouse, the shimmer of the fabric catching the light just so. âThanks for today, Tigris,â you said with a smile, your voice warm and genuine. Then, turning your gaze to Coriolanus, your tone shifted into something softer, lower. âGoodbye, Coriolanus,â you said, the faintest hint of teasing lacing your words.
His breath hitched, his posture stiffening as your words lingered in the air. You slipped out of the room with a playful sway in your step, not bothering to look back. But you didnât need to. You could feel his gaze burning into your retreating figure.
Once the door shut behind you, Coriolanus let out a heavy sigh, his head falling into his hands. âSheâs impossible,â he muttered, his voice muffled but laced with something that sounded suspiciously like defeat.
For the first time, he admitted to himself the truth heâd been avoiding all afternoon: he had a crush on you. And worse, there was nothing he could do to stop it.
Tigris smirked, watching him over the rim of her teacup. âYouâve got it bad,â she teased, but he ignored her, groaning softly as he leaned back in his chair. The memory of youâhalf
