Love at First Sight || Part Two

Since the first part of this actually had people reading it and liking it, it really made me want to continue it!! Thank you, guys, for the support, and I am now planning a lot more for this lil thing! I'm going to try and practise writing, so hopefully I'll get better for you all!

Soap x Florence (OC)

Summary: First date, the nerves and of course, the unexpected. Florence has never had luck with these sort of things... will she get any luck for this one time?

Warnings: Nothing much again, panic attack (poorly written tho :( ), slight alcohol, overthinking.

PART ONE || PART THREE

Saturday, 5:56pm. It was so close. Only another hour and he’d be picking up the most beautiful girl he’s laid eyes on. John stood in front of the bathroom mirror, adjusting his white button up shirt. He was practically vibrating with excitement.

Simon stood in the doorframe, his large build filling it up, watching as John continued to fix his shirt and mohawk. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you so dressed up Johnny.”

“I gotta’ make myself pretty for the young lass!”

Simon smothers a laugh and nods, watching him continue to fix things on himself. He smiles beneath his balaclava. He really could tell he was trying hard for this new girl. He hasn't seen him dress up this much for a girl in what felt like forever. On the surface he was scared for him, he saw him after other girls left him. Of course, he wasn't very open about it. But Simon could tell, he always knew. His training helped him pick up some things others wouldn't, but John was his best friend. He knew what he was like. But really, he wished this time it’d work out for him.

“I’ll leave you be then, let us know how it goes, yeah?”

John grins and nods. “Yeah mate!”

Simon nods and looks over him once more before retreating back to his own room. John smiles as he looks over himself in the mirror, fixing one singular strand of hair before nodding at himself. He was ready.

He now sat in his car, just out front of the restaurant. He fixes his hair up once more in the mirror, letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding. He checks his watch. 6:46pm. He was a little early, but of course it was better to be early rather than late. As time ticks closer, he gets out of his car and stands near the doors, so when she arrives he’d be visible. He taps his fingers against his pants, looking out over the road. Then he sees it, a car pulling up in front of the restaurant. And her inside.

He pushes himself off the wall as he watches her step out, fixing her dress and grabbing her purse. My god she looks like an angel…

“Evening, lass.”

She turns to face him with a grin. “Evening! How are you?”

“I'm amazing lass, and yourself?”

“I'm quite well myself.”

He smiles and takes her hand as they walk into the restaurant. He couldn't believe this, a date with such a beautiful woman?

They are greeted by one of the waiters, dressed in a pristine suit.

“Good day, a table for two?” he asks, a hint of a french accent peaking through.

“Yes please,” John replies, giving Florence’s hand a slight squeeze. As if he were making sure she was still there.

The waiter nods and begins to guide them to a table. A pearl white table cloth was draped over their table, the cutlery placed perfectly. The warm lights up head set a romantic feeling, making Florence’s hair practically glow. He pulls the wooden chair out for her to take a seat, before retreating back to his side of the table and gratefully taking the menus from the waiter. He opens the menu and skims over it, his bright blue eyes standing out against the dimly lit atmosphere.

“See anything you like, Lass?”

Florence continues to look over the menu, her teeth dragging along her bottom lip in thought.

“Jeez… I’ve never been to something so fancy if I’m being honest” she mutters, the sound of her nails tapping against the table subtle against the chatter in the background.

He chuckles and leans in a little closer, pointing at a line in the menu. “This is good… Steak au poivre… excuse my pronunciation. I don't speak other languages.” he says, a cheeky grin spreading across his lips. “That’s if yer a steak girlie.”

She grins back, her eyes glimmering their cool hazel hue in the warm light. “I do love myself a steak.”

Now that's a girl after his own heart. “Do you come here…. Often to know that it’s good?”

John simply shakes his head. “Nah. This is a special treat for a special girl. My mate Gaz is a bloody good cook. He makes all sorts of stuff”

She nods and lets her finger trace the rim of her glass. He watches as her small and delicate hand moves with grace. The skin looked soft, he had to fight back the urge to take her hand in his. He had to take this slow, he couldn’t scare such a beauty away.

He waves over a waiter, now that they are ready to order. Florence’s eyes remain on him as he speaks, watching as his lips move and eyes crease slightly as he thinks. His cheeks are rosy and covered in stubble, obviously freshly shaved. Just for tonight. She studies everything; the way his adam's apple bobbed up and down as he swallowed and continued to speak, the way his tongue would run over his bottom lip, the way he focused on the waiter as he ordered. He was certainly quite the charm.

They wait and continue their small talk. Out of the corner of her eye, she notices a younger woman dressed in uniform. Her steps were slightly unbalanced, she was obviously new.

John's eyes follow hers as he notices her trail off. “Must be a newbie?”

“Yeah… she obviously hasn't done it before.”

Her eyes narrow as she watches. The waiter held a small rounded tray, keeping it up at her shoulders height, with a cloth draped over her arm. She was coming towards them.

She smiles as she reaches them. “Your drinks…” she says, carefully placing a glass down in front of John. Then she reaches for the other.

It was painful to watch, as she misplaced her hand, hitting the bottom of that tray. The way her eyes widened in panic and the gasp that escaped her lips.

The glass fell. Almost in slow motion. The glass plummeted down, the rich and deep red liquid spiralling out of control and all over Florence, staining her beautiful dress.

“Oh my gosh I’m so deeply sorry!” the waiter cries, immediately reaching for a cloth to give to Florence.

“Oh dear… it’s… okay” she takes the cloth and tries to pat her dress down, doing very little to help.

John stood, taking a few napkins off the table to try and help. “Here lass..” he says gently as he hands them to her. Although, nothing helped. The dress was too far gone, stained in that deep red liquid.

“Fucking hell” she hisses under her breath. After all the dates, both gone wrong and stood up on, she thought this one would go well. But no. Not with her luck. Her dress, now soaked and the colour of the wine seeping through the fabric onto her thighs. Ruined. Maybe this date was now ruined too.

The pang of disappointment hit her chest hard, squeezing her throat as she held back tears. Again. And again. It never works. Nothing will ever work. Was she always doomed to be alone, for every date to fail?

“Lass?”

A voice. His voice. Breaking through the chaos in her mind, the words beginning to slur together and the background sounding as if it were miles away. His voice broke the chaos, a shining light in a dark tunnel. A rope, something strong, helping to pull her from her mind.

“Lass it’s alright… c’mon, let's take a breather, yeah?”

She nods, unable to get words to fall from her mouth. It felt like someone had a chokehold on her. The panic in her chest, the tears stinging her eyes, the ragged breaths. It was all too much.

John takes her hand gently, as if she were a deer and he was trying not to spook her. She looked like a deer, on edge, her flight or fight instincts flaring up, eyes wide. She was thinking. Way too much. He carefully guides her through the maze of tables, towards the intimidating glass doors.

As soon as she stepped outside, it was quite literally a breath of fresh air. The air was cold, immediately bringing goosebumps to the surface of her skin. The fresh air was like a punch to the lungs, both calming and harsh. The chatter from inside the restaurant was muted by the glass and plaster between them. Her chest was still tight, the cold air instantly making the spilt wine feel colder.

“Lass, breath.. Cmon..” John coos softly, his hand rising to her cheek. His fingers gently traced her jawline, calloused fingertips against soft skin.

Her breaths remained ragged, slowly calming as she matched John's breathing. “That’s it lass… you’re okay”

“Thank you…” she whispers back.

“My pleasure bonnie… What was that about? Just over the wine or…?”

Her brows furrow slightly. Does she tell him? That… she’s actually scared to lose him? He was one of the many that have actually showed up to a date, and for that fact actually stayed as well. Would she seem desperate? Maybe he was just doing this because he felt bad for her, but would he do that? Her lips thin out into a thin line as she thinks, the thoughts clouding her mind, everything becoming a blur.

“Lass, back down to earth. You can tell me.”

She lets out a long and heavy breath before replying “I… i well…” God, how do I tell him?

“Take your time. No rush” he says. That irritating charming smile plastered on his face once again. It makes her want to just melt under his touch, become putty in his hands. But who feels like that after a first date? Who falls this hard for a man they just met? Who’s to know that he feels the same way? He probably doesn’t. This is probably just an act of empathy, something to help her feel better about herself. But it doesn't. It only sends her spiralling down into those dark thoughts, those storms that erupt in her mind that don't go. Never ending rain and sadness. But how would she know…?

“I think I really like you and I don't want this to be ruined-” she blurts, instantly slapping her hand over her mouth. She said it. And the world didn't collapse. But… How does he feel about it? Does he feel the same?

Gojo overhears his girl talking to her friends about their sex life.

IMPORTANT: please suggest quotes for those I don't have an idea for! It'd be very helpful, especially because I don't have all the VODs! I need quotes for: Rae, Caspian, Momboo, Jamie, Easton, Centross, Ven, Athena, Wolf, Arisanna, Haley, and Icarus. Open for suggestions on Ocie, Ulysses, and Aax!

I think when Fable ends I'm going to work on a series of pieces- love letters to the entire story and how much it's impacted me. I've got a few planned but I need Fable to end before I start it, because whatever happens from now to the finale- including the finale itself, is going to be so important in relation to these! A few of the already like- dead dead characters I can work with though

I want to include text within them, so;

Rae - Rae's is going to be one of the most fun. There is so much I can do- so many directions. The finale will probably solidify which I do! A few things are for certain though; 1) aspects of the skulk. Most likely will be vines crawling up the background! 2) Aspects of the three shards- Alerion, Enderian, and Perix. Probably will be conveyed through color! Enderian will have a more specific nod as she's more present within Rae himself! Some sort of crown would sort of be my idea. 3) Stars. Of some sort, I want there to be stars. 4) A crown. Will probably be end-esque but we shall see!

Aax -There are a few things I know I want for Aax as well! 1) Four. Such an iconic thing for Aax- it's gotta be there. 2) Glowberries (because why not) 3) A trident and an axe. Aax's words will probably be something like "by design", or something about protecting Rae and Caspian!

Caspian - The problem with Caspian is I don't know an absolute ton about him! I do know a decent bit though, I'd say. A few things I want to include: 1) a quill. what's a writer without his tools? 2) A nod to momboo in some way. I'll figure that out. 3) Redstone/gadgetry of some kind. 4) something Atlas related, if not Atlas herself.

Momboo - I want a lot of nature themed elements, of course, but also a splash of color. The glitching. May do a half and half but probably not- it'll probably be worked in there somehow tho! I want nods to Jamie and Easton as well. Not sure on the quote yet!

Jamie - I hold Jamie in my little hands. I want nods to Athena, Momboo, and Easton in there, as well as Eeji, whatever the sheep is named, the camel and Solaris! I might have them as tiny creatures within the art piece itself! There will be an increase of nature themed elements as well, a nod to how they inherited that from Momboo! (no quote so far)

Easton: I don't know too much about Easton as well, sadly! I want to include lightning, skulk, nods to their mother and sibling, and the border will probably be a heart monitor type line (well within the border), a nod to how they see the world! (no quote so far)

Athena: I of course want Nether elements, but also a nod to Jamie, nature/flowers, and Cheshire! Cheshire might be included, possibly at the bottom or draped across Athena's neck. Whatever I can get to work! I kind of want to draw her in his fancy nether outfit, because I feel like it fits? (no quote so far)

Ven: The little traitor man! (/aff) I want nods to Fengari and some sort of writing detail! I don't know a ton about Ven, but I may include some nods to Fable (twisting yellow claws, etc!) (no quote so far!)

Ocie: I have the most idea for Ocie- she's the one that started my brain a'going. One of the strongest themes in Ocie's character is grief. It's lost so many people- and now another one, Len. Features I want to include are: 1) a nod to Momboo, 2) Oscar, 3) I kind of want her eyes to glow, 4) a heart of the sea, 5) tears. The words on her piece will probably be "Another empty grave." (or "I don't want to dig another grave.", or "It takes every piece away"!)

Centross: Wouldn't be a Centross piece without a nod to the end! A note that this piece will be of Violet! I want to display each character sort of in their "final form", whatever that may be. I want stars, the reaver, and a nod to the farming. His quote will probably be something cryptic about keeping the balance!

Wolf/Fenris: Fenris's is another that is going to be really fun! I may add a phantom mask over his face, as well as the moon above or behind his head. I want him in a fancy outfit- probably the one Malitae gave him, or the Festival of light one. There will be stars for Rae, and maybe wheat for Centross? Not sure of a quote yet!

Arisanna: Gotta have allays. But also pillager references! The border will probs have arrows within it! She'll also have some sort of book reference, whether that be the background or her holding one!

Icarus: Wings and potions and wack. Icarus's will be colorful, feathery, and otherwise I'm not entirely sure! I want a crown, so icarus's matches the rest of prince trio's. I also want to highlight their eyes! Otherwise, I think help from y'all and also the finale will help. Quote might be "Oh, we're doing this again?" but I am very very very open to suggestions

Haley: Haley's is going to be eerie- probably a reference to how she died, but also I want something puppet-y about her! not sure what else, and for the quote all i got is "this wasn't how it was supposed to go"

Ulysses: formerly evil fish man WOOO! Gotta have references to medical stuff, possibly have Victor in there, telchin stuff, and alcohol. Ulysses is trying to make amends, to fix the wrongs, to improve. I don't know how I can convey the layers of that well, like I can with Ocie's grief. Honestly, the quote might be the best way to do that! ("I'm sorry", or "I didn't mean for this to happen", maybe?)

I won't be doing one for Galahad, Will, or Chaos! Galahad and Will because I don't know their characters that well, and I feel like it'd be out of place now. Chaos for infer-able reasons.

Addie may be added if I have time, motivation, and if we see addie again before the end!

"Okay, if I'm not going to be a bother." Y/n said.

"Of course not. You never are." Venti said blushing a bit at the last thing he said.

"Kay. I wanted to spend time with you anyways." Y/n said plopping onto Venti's bed.

Venti watched her get comfy on his bed with her snacks be her side. Venti turned his chair away from the girl on his bed with a slight blush on his face, he sighed. He put his headphones back on, he didn't unmute or turned his cam back on since he knew that his chat was going to say something.

He's liked Y/n for years now and it's getting bad to the point where he doesn't even want her around. But, she doesn't know that. After calming down his heart and his red face, Venti unmuted and turn on his cam.

"Chat, you're here for me not her. Stop simpin'," Venti turned his chair over to Y/n, who was smirking at him. "And you stop trying stealing my viewers!" He shouted.

"Wow, dude chill," Y/n said getting up from her spot on Venti's bed and walked over to him. She took a seat in his lap, taking his headphones of his head and putting them on her. "I am stealing your viewers." She smirked.

Venti blushed not just from her bold actions but the fact that she's just hijacked his stream. "Hello, chat! Venti.exe is not working at the moment so I, Y/n will be taking over." Y/n laughed as chat went crazy

Venti groaned, snatching his headphones from Y/n's head. "Hey!" She exclaimed.

"Stop it, Y/n." Venti mumbled softly, he was still a bit flustered since she was still in his lap.

"You're no funny, Venti." Y/n said.

"But that's your real name, Dummy. Venti is your nickname." Y/n said raising an eyebrow.

"Shut it, don't tell them that!" Venti exclaimed.

Y/n scoffed. "Whatever you say, Barbatos." Y/n said.

Venti sighed. Y/n frown then perked up again as an idea popped into her head.

"You know since we're live right now. That means I can finally do this." Y/n said turning to face Venti grabbing both sides of his face and pulling him into a kiss.

Venti's heart rate increased as his face flushed red when the girl he's been in love with for years is kiss him, live on his stream in front of thousands of people. He melted into the kiss wrapping his arms around his waist, pulling her closer. It was sweet and passionate kiss so there was no doubt in Venti's mind that Y/n felt the same about him as he did her.

Once Y/n pulled away, mostly for air, Venti and Y/n's foreheads touched as they looked into each other's eyes paying chat no mind as it moved at light speed.

"You sneak..." Venti trailed off then chuckled. "That's why I fall for you in the first place."

"Good! 'Cause you're never going to get rid of me." Y/n said to Venti, wrapping her arms around his neck to hug him.

"Would never dream of it." Venti said with smile.

Buck walked into the fire station and quickly changed into his work uniform and raced up the stairs to sit at the table and grabbed an apple, “anything new today he said biting down into an apple and saw Bobby looked at the team and then back to the stove before speaking. “We have a school class coming today to learn about the firetrucks so we need everything done before they get here bobby said placing breakfast on the table before looking At his team, “guys um today I have somewhere to be at twleve today buck said wishing he could here for the class but he had other plans. “Everything ok buck bobby said looking to the men he thought of as a son, it wasn't like buck to have to miss a school class anx the whole week he ahd be acting strange which worried him.

“Yeah everything good i just have some things I need to take care of is all he said not wanting to spill the details because he was unsure on how they would take the news he was hiding, the reason buck had to miss the class was because he was needed at an ultrasound today with his wife and four year old daughter. No one knew he had a family nor children and just assume he was single because he was very secretive about his personal life. He met his wife Scarlett nine years ago and then a few mouths back they had found out she was pregnant and today they would get to know the gender of there baby, buck secretly hoped it was another girl because he enjoyed being a girl dad.

He would be happy too if it was a boy but he wanted a little girl to love abd cherish and he hope that if it was then she would look like her mama, “you know buck has be acting wired am I right hen said watching as he walked down the stairs and Turned to look at her other col-workers. “I agree eddie said leaning against the table, Eddie was close to buck but here lately he was very secretive and he knew he was single but here lately he hadn't be himself.

“Hey cap do you mind if I take a lunch break today at twleve he said wanting to follow buck and see where He is going, “sure but any reason bobby said coming to stand beside eddie. “Yeah I'm gotta follow buck because we was supposed to meet up laat night but he called and said he couldn't make it but I swore I heard a women voice in the background saying somebting about pickles he sadi turning to his captain and saw his face of disbelief. “OK well be careful please can't have yall hurt bobby said walking away and Eddie watched buck clean and shine the firetrucks, at noon Buck took off and eddie followed him and was surprised when he pulled up to the hopsital and it made his blood run cold.

Parking the Car he got out and followed buck into the hospital and stopped just around the hallway in time to see him kiss a women who was nineteen weeks pregnant making eddie curse in Spanish and now everything made sense, how buck was aways looking at his phone or how he was careful to not let anyone see his phone and eddid sit down on the chair and waited. Mean while buck and Scarlett Set in the room and she turned to her husband with a smile, “I'm so exited but be honest baby what would you like she said wanting to know his opinion on everything. “Well honestly I want a little girl who is beautiful as her mamma with your eyes he said leaning In to give him a kiss, “what about you scar you never turly told me what you wanted he said holding her hand and couldn't belive they were at this moment.

“I want a little boy who is handsome lime his daddy and has his eyes she said picturing a little boy with blue eyes and blonde hair buck imagine a little girl with grey eyes and red hair which made him smile at the thought as he heard the door come open and close and turned to the door, “hello Mrs and miss buckley the doctor said walking to the machine and turning it on before turning back to them. “Thos is gotta be cold the doctor said as she pour some jelly on Scarlett tummy And press the wand to her stomach and move it Round, “ok here we go baby is healthy and the heartbeat is on point so that's good so would yall like to know the gender she said turning to the parents Who nodded there head as she Turn back to the Screen.

“Ok looks like your having a little girl and Scarlett started crying tears running down her eyes as she turned to look at back who also had tears running down his face, buck was in awe at the fact he was having a little girl and leant into give his wife a kiss as the doctor wiped the jelly off her tummy and they got some pictures before heading out into the hallway, jjst has they got out into the halway buck froze on the spot seeing a familiar person sitting in the chair ad felt his heart drop at being caught. “Eddie what your doing here he said walking over with Scarlett Feeling his anxiety going through the roof, “Well I was worried for you and decided to follow you.

“When you called last night and ask me a question I overheard someone and got worried so I choose to follow you I honestly wasn't expecting this he said looking at buck and the women next to him, “eddie this is my wife Scarlett and we just found out we are gonna have a little girl he said feeling a little nervous on how eddie would react to the news. Eddie still couldn't wrap his head around. "That buck had a wide and a child on the way, “why didn't you say anything Eddie said, seeing buck breath a sign of relief. “Because I wasn't sure on how yall would React because yall all think I'm a player which i’m not and Scarlett is proof of that, buck always felt like the other put him on a high stool while working at the station and he felt it was best not to say anything.

“Dude you know we love you right and i’m sorry you felt that you had go keep this a secret but i’m happy for you buddy come here eddie said pulling buck into a hug before hugging Scarlett, “you know we can go back to the station and you can tell everyone and I promise everyone will be happy eddie said and buck knew he was right. He had to tell everyone so after nodding his head he headed with Scarlett back to the station and pulled into the parking lot before turning to look at his wife.

“you ready baby he said and saw her head nod as they got it the car and heading the station and eddie meet them at the door, “ok so everyone is upstairs and waiting for us to get back and all three of them headed upstairs and stopped at the top of the stairs and saw the stares everyone was looking. “Hey buck, did you get everything squared away?" Bobby said looking at buck and the women, “yeah I did look um there's something I need to tell gall and I hope that you will understand he said before grabbing Scarlett hand and looking back to his team.

“This is my wife Scarlett and we are expecting a little girl in July," he said, letting the secret he had been keeping for a while out and seeing everyone's faces made him relieved when he didn't see a mad face in the house. “Congratulations buck we are so happy bobby said walking over to him and giving him a hug before pulling Scarlett into a hug. “The reason I didn't tell y'all because I was afraid of how yall would react and since I started working here you had thought I was a player because yeah yall thought I was so I figured I better not say anything.

“Buck we are sorry we made you feel like that hen said feeling guilty, “I Mean you had news and we made you feel like you couldn't share it with us, she said, giving him a hug before everyone else did the same. “It's ok because eddie talked some sense into me and made me realize I needed to come clean, " i’m glad you did because now we can celebrate the wonderful news Bobby said, leading Buck and Scarlett to the table and celebrating the fantastic news. that day buck realized that he had family and he could finally come Clean with anything, “on July 4th later that year irelyn rose buckley came into the world healthy and was loved by her whole family and a host of aunts and uncles along with cousins.

I was thinking about it tho... And the sailcloths they are identical. And we know they are married...

What if the sailcloths are a sign of marriage in this universe? Why else would they both have the same one, down to the blue outline on the edge that is closest to them. Like you give your lover a meaningful symbol to show your love for them, and in Sky's case he made a sailcloth for sun after she made the one he's wearing for him during the events of Skyward sword.

I think its the same one because his one looks significantly bigger than hers, which to me tells of a practical use as well as a decorative or symbolic piece. 332

The 2 flower heads, one open, one closed, The blue into white. With the yellow detail. It's Flowers colour pallet to a T and I love it. Maybe as we progress through the story we will see pictures of the silent princess again but with a flowering bud or maybe if something bad happens a slightly sad looking one?

I am obsessed with symbolism, so if those become a thing watch this space cause I will be excited about it!

(In fact looking at it I think, the stem in the middle and the yellow on her clothes are colour-matched. A nice detail!)

HIIIII hello i just found your blog and i love it sm FINALLY some good sheila takes!!! i love your analysis of her in phf and i was thinking about if you have any thoughts on the mentions of sheila and mista working together and their relationship to one another bc i feel like thats such an unexplored area and ive been dying to have someone else’s take on it, i'd love to hear yours… there are so few ppl who really get sheila its a tragedy

HIII hehe thank u ^___^ There's very few people who care about her these days despite PHF still being popular, it's sad really v_v... Us Sheila fans gotta stick together. And yeah I've got a thought or two on Sheila E. and Mista heehe, I've posted here before but never really worded any of it coherently lol

In summary I think in the background you can see that Mista does genuinely care about Sheila E.'s wellbeing, and that while Sheila E. is... well, at the very least mildly contemptuous of everyone, she does seem to return at least a fraction of respect to him. Maybe not as much as she holds for Giorno (like, she's not worshipping the ground Mista walks on lol) but she respects him, and for someone like her that's the same as caring for someone.

also yeah hehe I have always thought a beastars-v.a kinda thing would go kinda hard (since I watched both of them in 2020-21), but it's mostly just been design choices and one or two scrambled sheilaposts here and there lol. I'll get to posting more about it eventually tho..

This week’s tmnt v-day prompt is “I Love You” so... have a proposal alskdjf tho not a typical one.

“I wish you all would stop sleeping in my bed.” Donatello groaned.

“Sorry,” Sunita chimed. “But your house is closest to the entrance.”

“Get home earlier.”

“No.”

Both her and April started laughing over the voice channel as everyone’s character sprites filed out of the farmhouse. Donatello’s was spending his afternoon playing Stardew with not only the girls, but his boyfriend as well who sat in the same room. He used the laptop on his desk while Donatello sat on the floor, insisting it was comfortable.

“Guys.” Donatello groaned again as he watched Sunita and April both immediately leave the farm. “It’s star fruit harvest day.”

“Sorry, but we gotta get to Maru’s.” April insisted. “I’m going to max hearts first.”

“No way,” Sunita argued. “Don’t forget who’s in the lead right now.”

“I’m going to steal all the strawberries soon.”

“Don’t you dare.”

Donatello let their argument fade into the background as he went to work picking the star fruit since, apparently, the bickering girlfriends were more worried about who would win over their bachelorette of choice first. Donatello still didn’t know what NPC he wanted to marry on his file. Way too worried about creating a wine empire. He almost had the final house upgrade, but right now he was taking advantage of summer by filling the crop area with star fruits.

At least the repetitive sound effect of harvesting fruit was soothing, but it took ages for him to walk all the way through the lot, and then he’d have to plant all the new seeds and--

He moved up the screen to see Jase already planting them, already done with five sprinklers worth.

“Oh.” Donatello’s character came to a stop next to his boyfriend. “You got the seeds.”

“Yeah.” Jase said from his desk, but his voice also came over the laptop. “Might as well. But you get to take care of the barn.”

Donatello kept standing there, watching Jase dropping down more seeds.

“I love you.” Donatello let the words jump out of his mouth.

Jase snorted. “For planting seeds?”

He smiled, another idea striking him. “Marry me.”

Jase laughed even louder. His character walked up to stand in front of Donatello’s. “What, like, in game? Or in real life?”

That made his heart sputter in his chest. Game. Of course he meant in game. He hadn’t decided what NPC to marry so why not just marry his boyfriend. Easy solution. But--

“Um...” His face felt so hot he swore he might pass out. “Either?”

The soft tap of fingers drumming over the keys without clicking any of them carried through the room. Nothing but static came in from the headphones, that and the odd chip of a bird or faint buzzing from the games sound effects.

“Yes.” Jase finally said, letting a heart icon pop up over his character sprite. Then he suddenly went back to planting.

“Wait.” Donatello followed him. “Yes to what? To which one?”

“Yes.” Jase snickered, in a way that made it clear he was holding back his laughter. “Yes to both.”

Donatello looked away from the screen and over to Jase. His boyfriend was currently facing away from him, but turned in his seat. His cheeks were bright red, but his smile looked so relaxed.

Donatello shoved his laptop to the side before he stood up and eliminated the distance between them with a single, long stride. Jase spun his chair around just before Donatello held his face, leaning over to press their foreheads together.

“You mean it?” He couldn’t stop smiling, and the buzzing in his chest was reaching a point he swore he’d explode. “You’ll marry me?”

Jase kept laughing, probably in part just to hide his own nerves. “What? Does that surprise you?”

“Well, I don’t know. I’m not doing this right, am I? Don’t most people do something like this on a fancy date? Or perhaps with a gift exchange? Or over a holiday? Or--”

Jase’s hand lightly touched the back of his head before tugging him into a kiss. Ah, an interruption kiss. A sure indicator of “Stop talking, stop thinking.”

So he did, letting himself melt into the contact. He sighed, then bit back a moan as Jase’s hand trailed around his neck to the underside of his chin.

“Uh, guys?”

April’s voice in his headphones made Donatello pull away.

“You guys know you’re not muted, right?” April continued.

Sunita failed to muffle her laughter.

Donatello glared as he looked to the side, as if his best friend was standing there. “Oh, sorry, should we go on a BRB for a bit?”

“If y’all are gonna make out then yeah.”

“I think it’s cute.” Sunita kept giggling. “When’s the wedding. Have you thought about a theme?”

Donatello flinched, then glanced at his boyfriend to see him mirroring his strained expression. “Uh, not yet?”

“Sunita he clearly didn’t plan any of this.” April scoffed. “Do you even have an engagement ring or something?”

“Ah! A ring!” Donatello dove back to his laptop. “That’s it. I have the recipe. I’ll go find a prismatic shard and make one.”

“I meant an actual ring, Donnie.” April shouted.

Jase chuckled, his chair squeaking as he turned back around. “It’s fine. He can buy me a real one later.”

“Oh I will.” Donatello snatched a bunch of spare stone out of their supply chest before racing off to the bus. It was late enough he didn’t need to waste a totem. “And it’s going to look even better than this one.”

“You going to get a rainbow rock and everything?” April asked.

“Well I assume he’d prefer purple.”

“I dunno, maybe it should be green,” Jase said.

“Purple and green.” Donatello mumbled, already thing about design possibilities.

He tried to focus when he got into the cavern, and thankfully there were minimal distractions apart from Sunita and April having casual conversations about how they’d want to propose to each other. Not over a game of stardew valley, they emphasized.

“Can’t lie.” Jase finally joined in the conversation. “It definitely wasn’t what I was picturing.”

“Oh?” Donatello managed to get to floor twenty-six, still no prismatic shard. “What, did you have any proposal plans?”

“Well, if you weren’t going to do it I did consider rigging the lights in our HQ building to spell it out.”

“Aw,” Sunita cooed. “That would have been so cute!”

“Nice and flashy,” April agreed. “Easier to remember than asking it out of nowhere during a video game.”

“Hey.” Donatello snapped as he kept swinging at some serpents. “I am recording this you know. So it’s not like I’ll forget.”

“You should still do something nice when you get the ring.” April insisted.

“Let me ask instead.” Jase snickered.

“No, no.” Donatello looked over at him. “If I’m getting you a ring then I have to be the one to--”

The low chime of the death sound suddenly struck his ears. He looked back at his screen to see his health at zero, everything flashing red.

“Nooooo!” Donatello practically screamed into the mic just as the notification in the in game chat came up.

“Donnie, what?” April snapped at him.

Jase laughed even louder now. “Did you actually just die?”

“Nooo, no no no.” Donatello shook his laptop as the screen transitioned.

“You better not have lost anything important.” April insisted.

“It’s probably fine.” Sunita insisted. “I doubt he took anything that important.”

Right as she said that the list of lost items came up onto the screen. Donatello’s heart dropped to his stomach when he saw all three variants of star fruit were on that list.

“Oh my god.” He dropped his laptop.

“What?” All three of his friends said over the voice channel at the same time.

“Donnie?” April’s voice took on a harsh edge. “What did you lose.”

“The star fruit.” He mumbled.

“All of it!?”

Sunita burst out laughing.

“Donnie are you serious? All three stacks? Why did you even take that with you?”

“I wouldn’t have had to if one of you had helped me pick it.” He snapped back.

Jase let out a long tired sigh. “I want a divorce.”

Donatello looked at him. “What?”

Now April was laughing, so loud her mic kept cutting her voice out.

“Jase we haven’t even gotten married yet. We can’t get a divorce.”

“I’m getting a divorce.” Jase repeated.

“Noooo.” Donatello lay down on the floor, towards Jase. “Darling please, I’m so sorry. Don’t leave me. I love you.”

“Love you more if you didn’t lose all our star fruit.”

“I can get it back!”

“You can only get one stack back!”

Ugh, well that was true. He’d have to prioritize the largest number of them for the wine making.

Donatello kept being dramatic, dragging himself along the floor until he could grip the base of Jase’s chair. “Let me make it up to you some other way.”

“Get off the floor, Donnie.”

“Please.”

“Donnie, time is still passing in game. Get to the guild before it closes.”

Donatello huffed and pulled himself up. He went to move back to his laptop, only for Jase to grab his arm and tug him close again.

“We can talk about how you can make it up to me later.” He whispered before kissing him on the cheek.

The heat returned to Donatello’s face. “I love you.” Once again the words leapt free from his throat.

Jase sighed, but he smiled. “I love you too.”

Sorry to bother you but I remember you making a tutorial on how to make your own ai with beta character ai? I can't seem to find it though. I'm I just imagining things?

You're not, I did make one, however...

Honestly?? I wouldn't even bother at this point. Character.ai has had so much drama with the devs being horrible human beings: most likely stealing/selling user data (you want to delete a bot off their website?? Too bad. You can't. Also they took a bunch of bots with high interaction counts and locked the creators out of editing, essentially stealing them from people), not listening to feedback whatsoever (actively making things much worse with every update), implementing a "nsfw" filter that blocks even the most sfw things like hugging or kissing (even with family/platonic characters), has a nasty habit of comparing anything romantic to children ("she looks at you like a daughter looks to her father" like ew what the actual fuck, and this happens literally all the fuckin time so you gotta ask how it made that association hmm), dumbing down the ai in favor of making it "safer" (now characters hardly ever act like their source material, often making up random shit), bots ignoring user input (often going on a tangent describing the environment and ignoring dialogue), bots being stupid in general (forgetting what you said literally 2-3 messages ago and giving horribly lackluster responses), devs shadowbanning people/deleting any posts respectfully calling out their shit to facilitate propaganda in their favor and make it seem like nothing's wrong, and so much more.

Drop it like a newborn giraffe.

Some other options: Pygmalion, which I'm still learning how to use and it ofc isn't going to be as advanced as Character.ai since it's a 6b model while the latter is like 100+b, meaning less data power so responses are less intelligent + slower, BUT it is free, it is open source, and you can get some pretty decent responses if you hold its hand a lot. There are some UIs you can use it through, like forks of TavernAI that give you the ability to use world info and get it to have a better memory, one for group chatting with different characters (tho I haven't tried that), a customized background, and so on. The devs are still working on a site but you can access it right now- I can make a smol tutorial for the basics of that if anyone wants it.

OpenAI is also an option, you can also use it through Tavern and it will give responses akin to if not much better than Character.ai- though you gotta pay. HOWEVER you can get a free trial with $5 to use... and there are ways of using it free after that, but I can't say it here cause if it's too widespread, it'll prolly get patched out, and we don't want that.

It'll take a while to load, maybe like 5 mins or something,

Sasaki and Peeps / Sasaki to Pii-chan Episode 1

THIS WAS SUCH A WEIRD FIRST EPISODE.

Overall Rating So Far: 7/10

(Purely because I have no idea where this is going and there is So Much and I can't make sense of it)

(This promo art implies it won't be a harem but I'm starting to have my doubts...)

I have no idea where to put my hopes in this anime, as everything that interested me initially got blasted through in the first episode.

Also, the MAL page has been updated since I last looked at it to show an almost all female cast whereas it had more male characters like French in it before it started airing...

However, I still hold hope. We've got quite a few big name VAs, but a studio thats mostly put out harem isekais (and possibly some hentai?).

Fricken Namikawa Daisuke is in here as a side character, French the cook (a bit on the nose for a name but..). He's one of my favorite VAs, and his famous roles (for me) being Hisoka from HunterxHunter and Chousou from JJK among a host of other huge roles. His basic existence is a draw for me. The fact that he is in this at all has gotta mean something, right???

Sasaki-san is also voiced by a big name VA, Sugita, Tomokazu !! Gintoki from Gintama, JOSEPH JOESTAR, Rudeus from Mushoku Tensei, KATAKURI from One Piece!!

And Pii-chan HAS ANOTHER FAVORITE!!! Pii-chan voiced by the amazing Yuuki, Aoi!! Our Beloved Maomao!!! who, btw is also the voice Madoka!! Tsuyu-chan from BNHA!! Tanya Degurecha from Youjo Senki!! Tatsumaki from One Punch Man!! An awesome voice with an amazing range.

THERE ARE SO MANY BIG NAMES IN THIS!!

I'll give it a few more episodes and see if the supposed actual plot keeps my attention. I'm decent at ignoring harem and fan service when it suits me (See, My Love: Tensura) (and I do also love me a good yandere)

Episode 1 Spoilers below~

Our main character is a salaryman/office worker name Sasaki, who is ready to "This is fine" and "Yes, and" his was through life.

We have a Java Sparrow, and exotic pet that said officer worker decides to buy ON A WHIM with NO pre-emptive research whatsoever.

Said Java Sparrow is a MASSIVE CHUNIBYO EDGELORD named Piercarlo who has been isekai'd twice?? and is a wizard, but can't use his powers because HE'S A SPARROW.

The scene where Peeps is calling for someone to pick him is hilarious, but man, the ability to just walk into a pet store and buy an exotic pet with no license, training, or background check continues to be terrifying. (I had the chance to buy a hooded crow for $2000, and was mind boggled that they wouldn't let me pet it but would let me take it home with me that day if I just paid. Japan animal laws aren't great yo)

The first episode was a double feature but I didn't notice until we got to the second magic system and went wtf?? It's still going? (I needed to LEAVE and was like... one more episode? *sparkly eyes* and ended up getting two... Nuuuuuuu not like thiiiiiiis I'm gonna miss my traiiiiin)

Last time this happened was with Ragna Crimson (Which SURPRISE SURPRISE IS BY THE SAME STUDIO) and I think Capybara and I made it to episode three? I feel like it's a sign if you need two whole episodes to express one episode's worth of set-up, there's too much going on. And that might be the case again. We get multiple magic systems! We speed run the setting up a trade business and a restaurant in another world! THAT WAS WHAT I WANTED THO, WHY'D YOU SPEED RUN THAT.

I was sincerely hoping for another Campfire Cooking in Another World...

I DO love that Sasaki-san rolls with everything that comes his way, including a yandere high school girl (however it's implied is being neglected since she's always sitting outside her front door while her mum fucks some rando... and I guess Sasaki does nothing or just doesn't notice?)

But after all the set up, suddenly a lady in a business suit shows up and is actively getting MURDERED by some dude with Magic?? But they're in the real world?? ? And she's about as Genki as Shion is in TenSura, (but I hope not as annoying as anime Shion, because manga/LN Shion is a badass).

BUT WHY. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING.

After a bit of research...

"The author, Bunkorori, says that he wanted to develop a story that would create a sense of tension in the modern world instead of showing a slow life in the other world. The author says that he wanted to keep a pet but was unable to and that he wanted to express his desire through writing, which was the impetus for writing this work."

This makes a bit more sense now... Not really, but that's basically all the pieces of what was included in this first episode set-up. I'm kinda bummed if it's not actually gonna be a slow life in another world, but maybe the tension of the modern world will be fun?

Not that I don't already have enough tension in my real world...

Anyways, a few more episodes! We will see if this is worth sticking with or if I'm gonna drop it.

hello friends here are my official thoughts on yellowjackets 02x02 brought to you by my four pages of notes from last night (spoilers below cut)

ok so breaking this up by starting with what i didn’t like. this is the first episode of yellowjackets where i really had moments where i was pretty unhappy with some choices so i wanna talk about those, why i didn’t like them, and how i wish it had gone

- very upset that jackie said the thing about shauna wishing she was her. like i feel like that is not the direction things were going in! we all know how homoerotic everything between them is and especially given the bit last episode where adult shauna told jeff about her fantasies of him with someone else (jackie). i am holding out hope for ghost jackie coming back and getting the love confession out of her so fingers crossed

- not thrilled with how the taissa confronting shauna about jackie bit went. i think that the makeup being the thing that pushed her over the edge was weird. i think they should’ve gone with what a lot of us were predicting where tai caught shauna kissing and/or eating the corpse and that being what made her be like ok we gotta get rid of this body. i just wanted more fucked up corpse stuff, ya know?

- did not like the random concern for the baby from tai, like idk i just feel like none of them are really focused on it rn and it just wasn’t necessary like she was concerned enough for shauna as a friend

- i didn’t love that there was more focus on travis looking for javi, idk i feel like that time would have been better used otherwise but i’m glad he now has fake closure at least so he stops being so obsessed with finding javi

- the nat/travis sex scene with lottie just there was just ugh. idk i wish the lottie/travis thing wasn’t going so in depth, wish they had chosen one of the other girls to be that figure but i mean watching travis’ descent into lottie’s shit is interesting

- i really wish they had put off the group cannibalism for at least one more episode. i’m bummed that shauna wasn’t the only one to eat jackie and i think some of the others just logically aren’t at the cannibalism point yet? like yes they were kind of trancelike but still idk it felt a little like they just wanted to get it in there so people would stop asking when it was happening

now onto what i liked/just general liveblog style thoughts (which there will probably be more of)

- gotta say the makeup scene was great (should’ve ended in a kiss tho) and i loved jackie encouraging shauna to eat her, the guilt of it in shauna, wish she actually had made the leap though

- ok taivan time! my favorite people to talk about lets go. van chasing after tai when she sleepwalked was great, i wonder if the pit she walked to was The Pit as in Pit Girl Pit but that’s a question for another time. when they get back to the cabin, van suggesting tai get help from lottie was really sweet although van being into lottie’s shit is obviously sowing the seeds of conflict between them. finally the little head kiss and the “i can feel your heartbeat” was so soft i love these girls with my whole being

- liked the snippets of the misty/crystal loser girl friendship in the background cannot wait to see more of them

- adult tai is going through it, i was excited to see the mirror thing start interested to see where the kind of “mirror self” thing goes

- lottie spying on nat since travis died is creepy but also great for the lottienat agenda and her going you’re welcome i think misty and lottie should work together on the keep nat from being self destructive project

- shauna being my poor pathetic little meow meow in the scene where tai calls her out teehee, wish she had put up more of a fight about cremating jackie like just lay on top of her or something girl be crazy just do it

- “so you lied to the cops to be feminist?” this is the season of callie being iconic i feel so bad for her though

- tai hallucinating sammy being at her place was SO interesting i really liked it

- travis going to lottie about the wilderness coming back to haunt him. i wanna know what’s up with that/if the wilderness is haunting the rest of the survivors similarly

- GHOST LAURA LEE THIS IS NOT A DRILL hope we see her again at some point <3

- i do wonder if lottie had more of a hand in travis’ death than she told nat but i do believe her honestly

- mari keeping up her being a cunt and making soup we love to see it!

- i LOVED shauna’s pre lighting jackie on fire speech: “i don’t even know where you end and i begin” YES and her ending it with saying she loves her when jackie’s last thoughts were being loved by shauna i need to lay down. also so appropriate that shauna was the one to light jackie, no one else could’ve done it

- tai and simone’s car crash, i feel like tai is probably gonna put blame on herself bc it was her fault and likely that and the conversation with simone in the car will be what leads to her seeking out van

- alright cannibalism time babey lets go

- “she wants us to”

- i adored the cutting between the like imagined feast and the cannibalism that was super well done and just overall a fantastic scene that will stick with me. also the girls all looked so hot in the feast scene so i am gay about it

- do wish there was more of the cannibalism shown but overall just incredible way to start things off

- also shauna would’ve eaten all of jackie even if the others were like ew no wtf lets be real

- poor coach

Wench: Well, you’ve got: privileged noblewoman who has an idealistic view of the world and acts in the way she thinks is right accidentally getting people hurt in the process contrasted with Athos, who we know was a nobleman, and who was a bit naive/idealistic when he fell in love with Milady, and who got Thomas killed as a result. Which, to my mind, is why he takes her to the morgue. Is it harsh? Yes. But it's the same wake-up call he got when his brother was killed, and he knows where Ninon is heading if she keeps on her path.

Jezebel: And ahhh. Yes so that’s again a lot deeper than the parallels I assumed you meant, which were: strong independent woman? Enter Athos heart eyes. Woman may be deceitful? Aaaaand now she’s ded. Enter Athos broken heart eyes

Wench: Well, with the exception of the ded bit (because I’d not spoil something like that during midpoint, for shame!), that basically is the second parallel. (I had this already typed up before you sent that, so pardon the repetition, BUT.) You’ve got: Athos fell in love with Milady (a fierce, independent woman) and trusted her, and she ended up being very much not who he thought she was and killing his brother as a result. Fast-forward a great many years of self-loathing, guilt complex, and abstinence, and you’ve got Ninon (a fierce, independent woman) with whom he’s at least entertaining the idea of something happening, and he trusts her word that the girls aren’t there, and he finds out that no, actually, she lied to him. Which is (part of) why he’s so angry right now. And I'd wager another part of that is internally motivated because it's a second time that he lets himself put trust in a potential romantic interest and gets burned for it. (*snort* literally. Wait. WAIT. LAKSDJFL;KADSJFLKADSFJLKADSJF That's funny!!! Tell you during endpoint)

Jezebel: Ok lol

Wench: Anyway. Those are the parallels. Respond at will

Jezebel: Except Milady killed the brother herself and Ninon just taught the girl to think for herself and she acted out on it foolishly. Which, yes, the blame still can lead back to Ninon but I don’t think it makes her a bad person. Sooooo team Athos and Ninon for me 😂 Unless she is only in this episode and then never mentioned again… Then team fuck you writers 😂😂

Wench: You'll see what happens. Though, I will say... It did kinda seem like she encouraged the note thing? "Oh, lemme write this for you and then tell you that the Queen is a sympathetic ear *wink wink*" is kinda. Active. And, also, like I said... a lot of it is a matter of trust. She gave her word, he kindaaaaa vouched for her (but, more importantly, bought the lie), and then it turned out to be false

Wench: I interpret it as: He thinks her goal admirable, but also thinks she's going about it the wrong way. She asked for his trust and abused it. Etc. Also, I'm sorry... I like Aramis; you know I do... but he annoys me sometimes. He acts like he knows all the details of a situation a lot of the time when he just... doesn't? And I feel like someone with eyes could see that?

Wench: So, like, in the episode where they go back to Athos' estate, he keeps picking fights and worming for more information and even bringing up the vaguely bitchy "how many servants did this place have?" and stuff without reading the fact that This Is a Serious Development. He's actively opening up to them a bit, in an extremely painful way, precisely because he does care about Porthos, but Aramis is just being. Annoying. Or in this episode with the "she was protecting the girls, not deceiving you." Yeah, that's true. And intellectually, I'm sure Athos gets that. It changes nothing about the emotional side. And Aramis doesn't know about Athos' past, so you'd think he'd have a bit more care/curiosity and a bit less judgement

Wench: I mean. They've known each other for like. Five years. Minimum

Wench: Nah, he would. You underestimate his sense of duty/honor. It's like when he had to apologize to the Duke of Savoy… That was exceedingly humiliating, especially given the Duke's responsibility in the Savoy betrayal, and the fact that he felt his duty outweighed his sense of honor/pride is telling. Also, there would have been no other way to save Ninon; the Cardinal issued her order of execution, and he had to rescind it.

Jezebel: True!! I keep forgetting they needed him for that ☠️☠️☠️

Wench: And, finally, I do think there's a degree to which having the Cardinal helps. Because he's the King's right hand, essentially. His advisor. And a) it'd make France appear weak to have the advisor to the King be killed, especially by an emissary from Rome. And b) he does help the King on a lot of things. We tend to see his scheming side, but, again, at least this incarnation actively helps when it suits him.

Jezebel: Yeah his flip flopping gives me whiplash 😂😂

Wench: And, just gonna remind... Athos was a nobleman. Pride and honor are bound to be pretty damn important. It's why the whole duty vs. love thing with Milady shook out the way it did; he had to do his duty, not just because of the King's ruling, but also because of his own sense of right and wrong... but it's tearing him apart because he did actually love her. (Kinda does, in some ways.) And he might hate himself as a result, but his honor still means a lot to him. Like in "Commodities" where the guy asks, "How do I know you won't betray me?" and Athos' response is a vaguely insulted, "I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that." All of which makes clear how significant this was by putting that supplication into context.

Wench: You do realize he's been protecting her for years, right? Just because they only recently started interacting, doesn't mean there's not history of some kind. (Which is actually what's so insulting about the pilot episode. The King doesn't even know who Athos is despite them being there for years as some of the best in his regiment. So the Queen has likely interacted with them to a decent degree)

Wench: Anyway, moving on. Milady thoughts?

Jezebel: I don’t likeeee herrrr 😤😤😤 lol! But also I think I missed why she was even in the place with Ninon in the first place 🤔 Or did the Cardinal send her after the death?

Wench: She was gathering dirt on Ninon to get her to stop. He wanted someone in there getting information, basically

Jezebel: That’s what I thought!

Wench: Also, going back to the Athos/Ninon parallel from earlier: Both end up giving up their money/lands/etc in response to tragedy, basically rewriting their lives/identities, and moving somewhere where they continue preserving their ideals but to a less obvious degree. And I was laughing about the "got burned for it" earlier because both relationships literally end in fire and flame. Milady burns down the la Fere house and Ninon is almost burned to death.

Jezebel: 😖😖😖😖😖😖😖 trueeeee

Wench: And then there's one final parallel (that occurs to me right now)... From Milady's POV, Athos intervened (extremely spiritedly) on behalf of Ninon and called of the execution, but had not been willing to do so for her. Obviously this isn’t full fair, since a) Ninon’s actions were only considered criminal because they were inconvenient, not because they were actually harmful, thus he would have done the same for anyone and b) he’d been living with the guilt of killing Milady for long enough that the situations aren’t comparable (e.g. he might have been able to think that he could take comfort in Milady’s execution being his duty the first go-round, but he knows that he can’t by the second go-round). But there ya go

Jezebel: True so you see why she’s upset… not that she deserves to be upset but you see it 😂😂

Wench: I understand why you don't like Milady, but I do think it's important to note that she does have a rather sympathetic story. I know things that make her even more sympathetic from later in the series, but you know some of it already... If you look at it from her perspective, she's spent her whole life shoved into the role of criminal to survive, and she keeps asking for someone to understand. And every time, she gets rejected, and she's back to being a criminal, but she just wants someone to understand. To recognize that she's not as bad as what she's been forced to do. But she also tells herself she doesn't care about that --- she tries to force herself to not care about that --- and years of having to survive some way or another have worn down her morals. So she's in this loop.

Still Wench: She's a street criminal but she finallyyyy finds a way to be happy, a way to love and be loved in return... and then Thomas finds out about her path and snaps, threatens to tear her life down, and she can't bring herself to trust that Athos would be able to (in terms of emotion or in terms of the law, it's a mix of both) see past that, so she kills him. And this betrayal/murder is what truly drives Athos away (except not even that, because he clearly still loves her in canon), but she sees it as just more proof that she is a criminal, will be a criminal, and can't be loved because she's a criminal. And then she goes and gets a job from the cardinal where, guess what, she's once again committing crimes for the sake of survival. But she's still so desperate (much as she doesn't want to admit) that she even goes to a confessional to try and get absolution, and the priest rejects her --- condemns her for her actions despite the fact that God is supposed to be forgiving, tells her she's unforgivable --- so she gets pissed.

Jezebel: Oh gosh that’s a lot ☠️☠️😮‍💨 I was like what happened 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Wench: Her entire life is a cycle of trying to survive, and then every time she tries to live --- to be recognized as not having much of a choice, to be seen as more than what she's done --- it gets snatched away. So she steels herself, goes on with what she has to do, and the cycle repeats.

Jezebel: Yeah, I can see that once you say it. Like with Sam! My biggest flaw in being a reactor is I don’t look deeper than what I’m seeing (and I’ll miss parts 😂😂☠️☠️) but once it’s pointed out I can really see it!

Wench: Anyway… anything else?
