If there's one thing I learned from Transformers One, its that if you want to make a transformers fan happy, all you need to do is have one (1) scene where their favorite character exists.

No line deliveries, no standing in the foreground, not even being named. Just take a rendered character, place them randomly in the background, and you'll have fans hollering in delight while taking a million screenshots.

Remarkable, 10/10. Never have I seen people so excited to watch a movie where a random guy is acknowledged for half a second. Are you guys this starved or is this just what its like when the media has hundreds of different characters

Hive Prime!

-I'm not the best artist, but I wanted to give an idea of what Bumblebee looks like following his rise as Hive Prime!-

Height: Hive is HUGE. He's a functioning vessel for every prior Prime, and he's easily three times Optimus' height. (This AU isn't currently based on any particular continuity, so heights can translate as needed.)

Color: Hive's least favorite change, his colors have gone from yellow and black to bronzen gold and ivory, with black accents. His wings are an energon blue, and his optics burn a soft teal, but change to match the optics of whichever Prime is currently in control.

Mostly I wanted him to be sharper, like a wasp or a hornet, and although I didn't do a great job of representing it, he does still have a broader frame.

Bulkhead pointed out each element as he spoke, making sure of Ultra Magnus following his exact directions. The ex-leader looked at the Wrecker confused, raising an eyebrow. He seemed to be wondering what could go so wrong with such tiny humans, and why the big bot felt so anxious at the idea of leaving Miko behind. He thought he was certainly being overdramatic.

“ that should be everything.. I need to go, they're gonna wait for me. ”

Bulkhead simply added before quickly waving Miko goodbye, transforming and entering the groundbridge, as Bumblebee and Arcee were already far ahead.

The bridge closed, and finally it was only him and the humans. He still wondered what so bad could happen for the three guardians to be worried. He looked over at them, sat on the couch, playing video games. They were relatively calm and still. The older bot thought now would be a great time to start working on some of his unfinished projects. The base was calm, the kids were entertained.

For now.

A loud, strident yelp came out from behind him. Startled, he looked over at the kids, instantly worried someone broke in. But no, it was just the Japanese girl, shouting at her friends because she lost the game. The commandant rolled his eyes, visibly annoyed.

“ Will you tone it down ? ”

He firmly asked, though it sounded more like an order. The young girl looked at him desperately, groaning.

“ THEY'RE CHEAATIIIIIING. I keep loosing, it's unfair. ”

“ In that case, you should switch games. ”

He stated, as if it was an evidence for him to move on from something that gets on your nerves. The girl stared at the bot, as if he said an absurdity, before she exclaimed.

“ YOU'RE A GENIUS !! let's play.. A board game!! What do you guys think ? ”

Jack shrugged and crossed his arms, apparently okay with the idea. The younger of them all jumped off of the couch, excited by Miko's proposal.

“ awesome idea ! Though, we miss a player. ”

Raf stated, his hands now on his chin, thinking.

It didn't take long for Jack to point at Ultra Magnus.

“ hey! Wanna join ? We'll teach you! ”

The leader looked perplex, not convinced at the idea of joining this “activity”. He stared for a moment, considering. It could be fun, after all, and give him a break from all the stress of battles.

“Very well. But only one game, I have to stay alert in case anything happens.”

The older boy nodded and signed him to get closer, which he did. The three humans started explaining to the bot the rules, to which he was surprisingly getting very interested in. They then got to the first game. Raf won, and, angry at himself, Ultra Magnus asked him some tips to get better.

“ how about we do a second round, then? ”

He proposed, to the happy surprise of the kids, that appeared to be pleased by the idea of the leader.

And then, they went on for hours.

The guardians came back several hours later, and, curious of the laughs and giggles they were hearing, snuck up on them.

They could not believe it. He was having a moment of genuine fun with the kids, that they all seemed to enjoy in it's fullest.

The three bots sighed in unison, relieved to see how well it went.

“Alright kids, it is getting late. Time for rest.”

The older bot announced, as he noticed the humans yawning. Without any signs of resistance, they hopped in his servos as he started walking to their room. He noticed Bumblebee, Arcee and Bulkhead here, to which he simply nodded without stopping. Once he made sure they were safe, he softly smiled.

“ I assume it went well..? ”

Arcee questioned, to which Ultra Magnus simply hummed.

“ we had a great time.”

He assured, a satisfied grin on his face.

I wonder how would bots and elite guard react to ultra magnus having a sparkling who is just a tiny bean and loves their sire a lot but they decide to explore outside and they get lost

-Optimus' is already all over Detroit, putting up missing posters, asking civilians if they've seen the sparkling and turning over every vehicle to look for them. He's almost more frantic than Ultra Magnus himself. Since he kinda sees Earth, Detroit especially, as his responsibility, he feels like it's his duty to find the sparkling. Really worried that someone, either human or decepticon, might find the sparkling first and kidnap them.

-Ratchet is worried about the health of the sparkling. Cybertronians that young are very fragile, even when compared to humans, and who knows what a young sparkling might mistake as fuel and ingest? Is also searching for the sparkling but mostly does that by just driving around the city, shouting their name.

-Bumblebee isn't panicking because he's confident that the sparkling will be fine and that they will find it soon enough. Makes it kind of a game, where the victor is the one that first finds the sparkling. Sees it as a way to prove himself and prove that he is reliable.

-Bulkhead, while not as frantic as Optimus, is not quite as calm as Bumblebee. He does think everything will turn out ok in the end but he still decides to help to look for the sparkling. He mostly focuses on keeping Optimus and the others calm, though he's no very good at it. Lifts vehicles and calls out the name of the sparkling loudly while looking for them.

-Prowl is wasting no time when it comes to looking for the missing sparkling. Not because he's all that worried about their safety (he truly believes they will be fine), he's mostly just annoyed by everyone panicking. The faster he finds the sparkling, the faster people will stop freaking out. Optimus has already had three panic attacks and it is starting to get on Prowl's nerves.

-Ultra Magnus is aging rapidly with stress because WHAT DO YOU MEAN HIS SPARKLING IS LOST ON AN ALIEN WORLD??? No, it's ok, he's calm, don't worry. Tries to keep his cool but it's obvious that he is very affected by the disappearance of his child. He's on the streets of Detroit, flipping over vehicles and benches and asking random humans if they have seen his kid.

-Sentinel is like "of course the Magnus' sparkling went missing on this hellhole of a planet". Is determined to be the one to find the sparkling and bring them back to Ultra Magnus, for recognition and praise of course, though when he realizes that looking for the lil bot means he's got to actually wander Detroit? Ugh. UGH. He's so unhappy about it. Mostly uses the jettwins, making them search for him.

-Jazz, like Prowl, is sure that the sparkling will be fine but still wastes no time in looking for them. Yeah, they will be found soon enough but they might be in distress right now and he wants to avoid them getting any unnecessary trauma. Works hard to calm down the Magnus.

-Jetfire and Jetstorm takes the job of finding the missing sparkling with outmost seriousness. One of them is on the ground, the other in the air. They are invested but, eh, the way they talk it kinda sounds as if they are looking for a missing cat. "Here bitty-bitty! Come to brother Jetstorm! I've got a treat for you!" They mean well but Primus.

I think we as a fandom are sleeping on how inherently fucking funny and rad it is that tfa Optimus knows about guitars enough to call one an axe and also knowing how to fucking shred one.

This presents two equally fun possibilities:

Scenario 1: Cybertron has a very similar instrument he learned back in his academy days, and learning that translated to guitar skills when he found out they exist.

Scenario 2: after the headmaster episode where bulkhead got him invested in art, he started a deep dive and decided he really liked earth music too, enough to learn how to play a guitar. Which means he likely has a bot-sized one kicking around in his room we've just never seen because it's never been plot relevant until Soundwave rolled in.

In ANY scenario it confirms that Optimus does in fact like earth music as much as bumblebee and bulkhead do, and I think that fuckin rips

opinion on cyberverse?

After originally watching Cyberverse I feel like I had to marinate on it for a while and here are my thoughts, it's long so get ready for a ride ! Major Spoiler warning for Cyberverse, I discuss a lot about character deaths and plot points

Overall, Cyberverse is fun if you don't take it seriously and if you don't care too much about the story. I feel like the main weakness of Cyberverse was the story and its strength was with the character interactions. Chapter 1 was a little repetitive since it mostly revolves around Windblade helping Bumblebee out with recovering his memory but it gives context to the world + character stuff. Jumping into Chapter 2 felt really out of place because things just happen-- how come humans know about the transformers ? Why are they being posted on social media to be memed on ? HOW IS MEGATRON LIVE STREAMING ??? How come Bumblebee suddenly has his voice back ? When I first watched through it I was like there has GOT to be something I missed because why is there this massive jump in time ??? But that's legit just how it is but it's kinda entertaining, you're there to see everyone be really funny and silly with each other. Chapter 3 was probably my favorite one, Perceptor is there and he's so GOOD, I love that he's blind, I love that he's such a badass AUGH he's perfect ! The story actually gets pretty investing at that point because everyone's working together against a bigger foe and it was genuinely really sweet to see ! I liked it a lot ! HOTROD AND SOUNDWAVE WORKING TOGETHER WAS MY FAVORITE I had no idea these guys could have such an interesting and fun dynamic with one another BUT IT WORKS, IT WORKS WELL ! CYBERTRONIANS SUPERIOR ! and then like the last half of Chapter 3 took me out of it low-key.. End of Ep 17 - Beginning with Ep 18 Enemy Line I was like AUGH.. NO MORE PLEASE ! And the looking for pieces of Windblade thing.. GO ON A FETCH QUEST. Chapter 4 (the two 1 hour specials) .. I'm not gonna sugar-coat it, I did not care for Soundblaster. TARN WAS INTERESTING I LIKED HIM but SOUNDWAVE. BRO. I WAS DEVASTATED, SOUNDWAVE BECAME MY FAV IN THE SHOW BECAUSE HIS ARC WITH HOTROD THEY WORKED SO WELL TOGETHER, WE CAN'T HAVE ANYTHING NICE !!! SOMETHING HORRIBLE ALWAYS HAPPENS

A surprising amount of like SOMEWHAT DISTURBING THINGS HAPPEN, not that there's anything wrong with it but it just seemed so jarring and a little out of place with the main tone of the show being more towards something lighthearted. There's a long scene of Starscream getting absolutely beaten to hell and back by Megatron and I was like OH MY GOD IT JUST KEEPS GOING ??? and when Starscream KILLS EVERY OTHER SEEKER I was so stunned like WHAT ??? OK GOODBYE THUNDERCRACKER, GOODBYE EVERYONE ?? Shockwave and Cheetor dying to basically battle it out in the Allspark was actually a little nuts. A LOT OF CHARACTERS DIE STRAIGHT UP ??? Prowl gets hit a little bit and I guess he's gone forever GOODBYE PROWL ! ALSO THE DRIFT TWIST LIKE WHAT OK THAT WAS OUT OF NOWHERE !!! HOTROD TRYING TO TAKE HIM DOWN WITH HIM ??? KINDA MORBID IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT. Hotrod getting a different color palette afterwards felt a little like Lost Light and I think that's what it was supposed to be referencing.

I actually didn't really like Jetfire's Cyberverse characterization in Cyberverse </3 I LOVE HIM DON'T GET ME WRONG BUT OH MY GOD HE'S UNHINGED, HE'S BLINDED BY HIS RIVALRY WITH SKYBYTE BRO HAS LITERALLY DESTROYED PLANETS TRYING TO KILL THIS DAMN SHARK. WHAT HAPPENED JETFIRE ???

Ok, now I'm gonna glaze the show. THE ART DIRECTION IS SO BEAUTIFUL. The character designs are absolutely gorgeous, I don't think there was a single design I disliked. I like a lot of the saturated colors used and how the character designs have a consistent motif of glowing accent lights on their bodies. I took a lot of inspiration from the art direction from Cyberverse for my own Science Continuity. The background work is absolutely breathtaking, it fits perfectly with the characters. I'm actually super inspired by a lot of Graham Finnigan and Piotr Bzdura's background work on Cyberverse (I'm sure it shows). I ALSO LOVE UNUSUAL CHARACTER INTERACTIONS ! That's what also inspired a lot of my Science Continuity, I love when characters who never really interact in other continuities interact, it just opens the door to so many possibilities. Shockwave and Wheeljack ?? Grimlock and Arcee ?? Perceptor and his uncooperative team ?? YES ! PLEASE !! MORE ! I had a lot of fun watching Cyberverse when I was not taking the story seriously and while at times it was grueling, it also had some highlights and really great moments !

Would I watch it again ? Uh.. Honestly probably not the entirety of Cyberverse. I'd only rewatch for specific scenes or episodes. Would I recommend Cyberverse to anyone ? If you're into character interactions more than story and plot, I'd say go for it but it's definitely not for everyone.

Question. How do you think the TFP bots each find the squishies that are humans look. Like aesthetically. Which ones find them cute or gross or funny looking? Cause in the Scraplet episode, Ratchet said “Typically I find your fleshiness your least engaging qualities.” Meaning that Ratchet find the humans gross to some extent, meaning that the Autobots does have aesthetic opinions about the humans. And it seems like everyone got different opinions. So what’s your head canon for each of their opinions?

Ooooooh now this is a question I will happily answer!

Ratchet: His views on humans and squishies in general is summed up to GROSS. He sees humans as essentially a bunch of organs in a poorly made plastic bag walking around on stilts. They are worse than hairless cats in his optics. They may be nice enough, but he would prefer to poke them with sticks or handle them with a hazmat suit if given a choice. He's warmed up to them, but will never find them particularly appealing. Interesting? Yes. Appealing? Primus no.

Bumblebee: Bumblebee thinks humans are a little unsettling, but he appreciates them in the way one would a pet tarantula. He can find something to see as appealing in them, although as a general rule he is not particularly enthralled with them. He is fond of human eyes, largely because their pupils dilate a great deal like how his optics cycle. He also finds it fascinating how many colors humans can have their eyes up being.

Arcee: She sits in the same boat as Ratchet for the most part. However she has one aspect of humanity that she is surprisingly fond of. She thinks human hair is quite "cute" in a sense. It reminds her somewhat of stories of Solus and she has always found it fun how humans can style their hair in so many unique ways. She has even gone so far as to ask June to teach her how to braid hair simply because Arcee also finds the texture of hair to be facinating.

Bulkhead: His thoughts on humanity can be summed up simply with: Smol Beans. He thinks they are adorable in the way one would look at a mouse and think it cute. Sure humans can do gross things like execrate and create strange internal liquids and sounds, but they are just so small. He can't help but find that fact appealing.

Wheeljack: He is neither grossed out or really invested in humans. He could care less what they look like. He's been everywhere and seen everything, so very little bothers him anymore when meeting new races. He does think that human teeth are interesting though. Cybertronians have their own version of the mouth bones, but humans growing the mouth bones and then having a few sets of them is something he just thinks is rather inspiring.

Smokescreen: He... doesn't like humans. He's in Ratchet's boat, but he's a lot less tactful in his outward reactions. His first few weeks on Earth involved a lot of gagging at humans as a whole. Squishies are not his cup of tea, but he's learned to handle it for the most part. So long as the squishes are clothed reasonably, he can pretend they are armored and ignore the fact that they are walking bags of bits and bone.

Optimus: He doesn't mind humanity. He doesn't think they are physically appealing in any real regard, but he admires their minds. Such small creatures holding hope and intellect on par with the more technological races is something he finds impressive. He also holds an appreciation for their voices simply because they are clear and without complication. It is new, and for that reason he finds it beautiful in a sense.

Ultra Magnus: He doesn't like humans. Period. He tolerates them for the sake of the team and negotiations, and he may be appreciative of human comrades and friends. But the species as a whole? He is not fond of them. He is largely more confused than anything else. He has no idea how such a fleshy and delicate species lasted so long. But he has largely shrugged it off and moved on with life.

She quickly goes to the two-wheeler and carefully guides her to the med berth.

“I’m fine kid.”--Arcee

Lithia was already looking over her wounds with a little flashlight.

“I’ll be the judge of that… Who’s the sorry Con who got the end of this? Starscream?”--Lithia

Lithia gets the tools ready.

Lithia pauses a bit before going back to work.

Normally she is much more levelheaded and chooses the facts over hope.

… but after overhearing how low their energon rations where at an all-time low, it shocks her a bit.

She was already rationing her rations even more than usual, even more than her father knew.

Maybe this new Synth-En really was the team’s only chance in getting an upper hand in the war. But there was no way she was going to makes the team become guinea pigs to this experiment.

Herself on the other hand, had no problem.

So, when Lithia saw the chance of trying the experimental energon, she didn’t think twice before injecting it into her arm.

Lithia groans and backs into the med slab leaning half of her frame on it.

Her digits digging on the helm feeling the helmache of a lifetime happening.

One servo clenches the side of the med slab catching Raf’s attention.

“Lithia?”--Raf

Lithia groans in response.

“Lithia are you okay? I can go get—”--Raf

“Don’t—don’t get him… huh?”--Lithia

Lithia now blinks her now green optics and stands upright.

Raf walks to the med slab holding one of her digits worriedly as he sees the green.

“Lithia? Lithia—Woah!”--Raf

Lithia playfully holds Raf and puts him back on the balcony.

“This… feels… Amazing!”--Lithia

She looks at all of her scans and notices the increase in all levels of her frame.

And it feels good.

Really good.

Ratchet comes back and notices the green in her optics.

Before he can put two and two together, Arcee’s signal goes off.

Lithia is off into that groundbrigde with her med kit.

Ratchet stays still for a couple seconds before realizing what just happened and scurries to the groundbrigde.

Lithia appears from above and lets out a fierce battle cry as she demolishes the Vechicons around her and Arcee.

She was taking them all out as if she spent her entire time taking out Con’s.

Once all of them are gone Ratchet comes through and checks on Arcee and Lithia.

Lithia pumps her servos up in the air in triumph.

“OH YES! DID YOU SEE THAT!? I WAS A BEAST! WHO’S UNSTOPPABLE! I AM!”--Lithia

“Beep? boop bop bep (Lithy? What was—)"--Bumblebee

Lithia picks Bee up and spins him around in excitement.

Bee whirls in confusion by the sudden action.

“That felt amazing! So—Oh Primus Arcee! Did you see that!?”--Lithia

Lithia races over helping Arcee up smiling and slightly jumpy.

“Yeah… Primus where did you learn that?”--Arcee

Lithia stands straighter in a bit of a cockier fashion.

“Learned from the best.”--Lithia

She winks at Bee.

Bee shyly rubs the back of his helm as the others come closer.

“…We are heading back to base right now.”--Ratchet

At the base…

“And then I went BAM! BOOM! PEDE IN THE TAILPIPE!”--Lithia

Lithia begins to mimic some of the actions in emphasis.

The kids watch in curiosity with the bots.

Ratchet has his servo crossed.

“You know what you did was foolish Lithia. You could have gotten killed and you put in an experimental—”--Ratchet

“Not entirely experimental now, is it? This thing can be the key to finishing the war! Dad this can be it!”--Lithia

Ratchet shakes his helm.

“You and I both know that it needed more testing Lithia. How could you—are you rolling your optics at me?”--Ratchet

Lithia does it again and beings to walk off.

“I’m not finished talking!”--Ratchet

Lithia stops for a second to take a glance at him.

“I am. Bee with me.”--Lithia

She grabs the back of his spoiler and beings to drag him with her to the training room.

Bumblebee just walks with her not really sure what to do.

Everyone looks stunned by what just happened.

“Did she just…”--Arcee

“Primus this is like Bumblebee all over again.”--Bulkhead

A few seconds later there is a crashing sound.

Arcee and Bulkhead go to check on what the noise was and find Bee in the hallway groaning with a rather hyperactive Lithia in the training room egging him to continue the fight.

She even goes to Bulkhead to fight.

Arcee tries to get everything in order.

“Hey, remember when I got back from Arachnid?”--Arcee

Lithia grows quiet.

“I got a bit too cocky and that’s why I got those extra dents.”--Arcee

Lithia looks down with her servos clenched to her sides.

Bulkhead puts a servo on her shoulder.

“Don’t be like me and get all cocky with those ideas, okay? The last thing we need is you getting hurt.”--Arcee

Lithia vents a bit and leaves to the opposite side of the hall.

Bee goes to follow her, but Arcee stops him.

“She needs some space. Let her be.”--Arcee

Bee whirrs worriedly but leaves with the others.

They don’t realize that she took a sharp turn into the weapons room.

Lithia had secretly stashed a bit of the Synth-En left in the canister she had injected into herself earlier.

She put the rest of it into her system.

She was going to need it for what she was about to do.

The young medic hides any evidence in her subspace as well as her new blasters and knives.

Lithia walks back into the room with so much confidence the kids don’t really believe it was their shy sweet friend.

“Wow… it almost like looking at another bot. Kind of like this new Lithia.”--Miko

Lithia smirks at Miko.

“You better believe it. How about a quick spar in that Apex Armor?”--Lithia

Miko looks like she is about to agree when Bulkhead moves in.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.”--Bulkhead

Lithia puts her servos on her hips.

“You don’t get to decide for her Bulkhead. That’s Miko’s decision.”--Lithia

“As her guardian—”--Bulkhead

“aS hEr GuArDiAn—She doesn’t need you to answer for her.”--Lithia

Bulkhead looks a bit miffed by this.

“Lithia! What has gotten into you—”--Ratchet

Lithia scoffs.

“Lithia do this! Lithia do that! Tell me a sentence that doesn’t start with those words or imply them.”--Lithia

Ratchet’s optics widen.

Optimus decides to intervene.

“Lithia, I believe it is best if you let Ratchet take a look at your frame. I fear the effects of the Synth-En may have taken a toll on you psychic.”--Optimus

Lithia gives the older Prime a look.

“Yeah, no. This stuff gives me a better role on the team than being your ‘favorite naïve little medic.’ And what goes on in my mind in MY business.”--Lithia

“Though your prowess in battle was impressive, that does not mean that it is the best for the team—”--Optimus

“For the team?! Arcee would have been kidnapped or worse if I hadn’t interfered Optimus. Me having this is one of the best things this team has right now. And I don’t think you really know most of the time what is best for the team. Explain the—”--Lithia

“THAT’S ENOUGH!”--Ratchet

Lithia looks at him a bit surprised before glaring.

“Look at that you finally decided to talk. How nice.”—Lithia

“You have gone too far Lithia. Apologize.”--Ratchet

She sends him another glare taking a step forward.

“No.”--Lithia

“THAT’S IT! YOU ARE GROUNDED!”--Ratchet

Lithia glares at him quietly before shoulder shoving him and heading straight to her room.

Silence…

“I take it back I want the old Lithia back.”--Miko

What the team didn’t know was that she managed to slip a tracking data pad into her sub space.

Her plan was coming together.

She waited until everyone was asleep when she finally got the signal of the one she was looking for.

Lithia carefully leaves her habsuite and places a data slug in the back of the monitor. The slug would hide any evidence of her travels until she came back. Once the coordinates were in, she leaped in.

No one woke up to the sound of the groundbrigde being used.

She walks into a dark and foggy forest where she spotted her enemy.

Lithia gaze hardens as she slips her blades catching the Cons attention.

“Hello Arachnid. Funny seeing you here.”--Lithia

Arachnid angrily looks at the bot who interrupted her previous plan.

“Well, isn’t it the little medic. Where’s your—”--Arachnid

SLICE!

“GAH!”--Arachnid

Arachnid pulls back and looks at her bleeding servo.

“I hope you have all your arrangements settled Arachnid. You meet your end today.”--Lithia

Arachnid hisses.

“I WILL TEAR OUT YOUR SPARK!”—Arachnid

Lithia dodges the lunge and proceeds to perform the high kick Cliffjumper once taught her.

BAM!

“THIS IS FOR TAILGATE!”--Lithia

WHAM!

 “FOR CLIFFJUMPER!”--Lithia

BAM!

 “AND FOR ARCEE!”--Lithia

Lithia defiantly gets cuts and dents, but Arachnid was getting the worse brunt of it having severely underestimated her opponent.

The clashes of green and purple bio lights were seen throughout the woods.

Lithia finally has Arachnid pinned and reading the final blow when something pierces her armor sending harsh electrical waves through her system.

Screaming, she falls down shriveling in pain as she sees a red paintjob and blue on before going to black.

...

Lithia wakes up feeling drained completely and dangling from someone’s shoulder.

She looks quickly at her levels and sees them back to the same levels before the synth-en.

Yep, she did not want to take that thing again.

She is gently put on the ground and groggily lifts her helm.

Her vision is a bit blurry but does recognize the figures as Breakdown and Knockout.

Lithia tries to move but Knockout stops her.

“Don’t move Autobot. It’ll make the patch work quicker.”--Knockout

“Patch work?”--Lithia

“Well, it is the least I can do for the ‘friendly fire’ and the extra dents on that finish of yours. Have you considered waxing it every now and then?”--Knockout

Lithia looks at him with half closed optics strangely looking for answers.

“Why?”--Lithia

Breakdown kneels in front of her.

“Arachnid was going to ambush me tonight. And she would have if you hadn’t distracted her.”--Breakdown

Lithia blinks a bit suddenly remembering the fight.

“And when Knockout came, he tried to pierce Arachnid with the electro spear, but it kind of hit you instead.”--Breakdown

“And Arachnid?”--Lithia

Lithia looks over a bit seeing a strangely familiar frame on the ground.

Breakdown moves in front of her blocking her view.

“We took care of it kid. You don’t have to worry about her anymore.”--Breakdown

Knockout finishes his work.

“Not my finest but it’ll due until your team shows up. We’ll call this an even Autobot.”--Knockout

Knockout begins to walk to their groundbridge.

Breakdown slings the limp frame over his shoulder and gives her a friendly wave.

“Wait!”--Lithia

Both Cons look back curiously.

“Thank you.”--Lithia

They smile a bit before disappearing into the portal.

A few minutes later another groundbrigde opens not too far where she was.

She shakingly slides out her knives just in case.

To her relief a familiar blue and pink paint job and a yellow and black paint job came out.

Lithia retracts her knives and winces a bit at the transformation.

“Cee! Bee!”--Lithia

Bumblebee hears her and runs to her.

“BEEP! (LITHIA!)”--Bumblebee

Arcee follows behind.

Bee slides his arm around Lithia helping her stand.

She smiles weakly at the two of them.

“Hi…”--Lithia

“What were you thinking kid!”—Arcee

Lithia winces a bit at the loud sound.

“I kind of wasn’t… do you mind not screaming too loud? It feels like Bulkhead’s wrecking ball is pounding my helm.”--Lithia

Arcee looks at the wounds and dents and decides that the scolding would have to wait till later.

“Bulkhead. Groundbrigde now.”--Arcee

Lithia slowly opens her optics seeing Ratchet looking over the patch work.

“You were lucky to find her in time… but that doesn’t explain the patch work. In this state she wouldn’t have been able to—”--Ratchet

“That was Knockout and Breakdown.”--Lithia

Ratchet looks over at her gently taking his servo in hers.

She looks at him with so much regret and sadness.

“I-I’m so sorry—”--Lithia

“Shhhh… It was the Synth-En talking I know.”--Ratchet

She starts shaking as the tears start falling faster.

“I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!”--Lithia

Ratchet reaches over and gives a half hug trying not to aggravate any of the wounds.

She looks over at the team gives a small smile.

Lithia would tell them later, for now, she just wanted to bury her helm into her dad’s shoulder.

02. Elita: Fake Cigarettes, Fake Alcohol, Fake Friends

When they were heading down to the mines, Elita was the foreman, making her coworkers flatter her. She even said that the workers should feel honored by her promotion: "If you all work hard, I can get promoted." A sharp critique from a 30-year workplace veteran: "It's not like I'm the one getting promoted; what's there to feel honored about?" Elita's character wouldn't fool anyone who's worked even a single day; she's essentially a traitor to worker class.

When a production accident led to her demotion, neither Orion nor D-16 bothered to check on her; they just went off to prepare for the next day's Iacon 5000 race. Later, while she was returning to the surface, she even planned to capture the other three, reporting them as political criminals to get them downgraded.

The people responsible for editing and releasing the trailers for this film are downright malicious. They artificially created a sense of family harmony, making the main quartet seem like a group of good friends. But after sitting in the cinema and seeing the real plot, my only thought was: "What kind of friends are these? Have you ever once stood firmly by each other's side, or did you just become docile after going through hardships together during your adventure?"

After a series of chaotic events where they learned the truth and obtained the cogs, D-16 and Bumblebee got captured, just to give she and Orion some one-on-one time. She comforted the disheartened Orion, taking the opportunity to invest in the official Oplita pairing while Orion is undervalued: "Although I'm better than you in every way, but..."

Orion had to smile tolerantly: "This is your first time comforting someone, isn't it?"

This film is filled with clichés from mass-produced Japanese anime. The main team consists of Orion, an overly optimistic protagonist who pretends to be naive but is highly proactive, dragging others to do this and that. Then there's second male lead D-16, who's overflowing with negative energy, constantly complaining and nitpicking. There's also a tsundere girl, Elita, who arrogantly spouts off to forcefully fit into the tsundere trope. And then there's the comedic boy, Bumblebee.

When uniting with the High Guards, everyone was noisy. She casually slapped Shockwave across the face and even gave him a nickname afterward. May I ask, what's that about? Shockwave is too good-tempered; I support his freedom to slap back.

In the end, Optimus Prime won, and she happily asked him for the position of commander. Before this, they had to play out the "strong male, weak female" trope. The newly promoted leader Optimus said to Elita, "Aren't you better than me in every way?" Elita hesitated. It's as if the screenwriters are well-versed in the Elita fandom: Elita has to be perfect, stronger than Optimus, but when it's time to step back and let the man lead, she sensibly steps aside.

it's rough compared to the first season. I genuinely believe it's not the creators fault and they probably got mega rushed and a ton of budget cuts.

This season was definitely more Terran focused and I don't minddd that?? because it is their show. but I do wish legacy characters got a bit of spotlight. I know prowls coming in batch two so I hope he gets a fair share of screentime. again, I know it’s supposed to focus on the Terrans but I feel that if your gonna include the cybertronians can you try to use them a little more ? otherwise don’t have them at all yk /lighthearted

but personal grievances aside for a moment the writing was ROUGH. I know it's a kids show but almost all the episodes felt weirdly paced, awkward, and babyish?? and the animation downgrade doesn't make it any better.

honestly a lot of it was just really distracting and I couldn't really focus on the story. Also the story itself felt kinda, unfocused? idk maybe that's a personal thing as well. I found it kinda hard to get invested. The Terrans I only really like are twitch thrash and nightshade. jawbreaker is fucking insufferable. I’m sorry.

I noticed a lot of the issues in the episodes could have been easily solved. That is NOTT something u want an audience to feel.. a simple communication or action could have easily prevented an issue in an episode. :/

Optimus episode was cute tho I like it when characters shit on jawbreaker

I don't mind the cons being villains but if you’re gonna have them as villains can you give them more personality and screentime. also a lot of the decepticons felt bland or out of character.

A fun and interesting plot line we could have had (at least in my opinion) is decepticon infighting. It felt bizarre to me that soundwave and shockwave just fell in line when starscream assumed leadership. IDK!! I feel like the three would be arguing over who would be leader?? Correct me if I’m wrong on this I might he looking at this all wrong. </3

honestly I had like zero interest in spitfire and aftermath but at LEAST aftermath had a new design (GLARES AT SHAMELESS TWITCH RECOLOR).

like I’m not even upset that twitch and spitfire have the same/similar alt modes because it works w them being literal parallels of eachother. I’m just mad it’s just a straight up (lowk ugly) recolor. it just doesn’t work for me personally. Especially bc a good redesign could immediately fix a lot of my issues with it. like make her sharper or give her different patterns and adjust the color placement SOMETHING BRO.

that concludes my disorganized ramble for now. I’m excited to see everyone’s thoughts on the first batch of season two and I remain optimistic for the second half :3

Thoughts on Transformers Animated Season 1

I just want you to know I’ve gone into this series completely blind and all I have are out of context spoilers. But anyway just sharing my thoughts now that I’ve made it to Season 2! (Spoilers below)

Originally wasn’t too keen on the designs, but they’ve grown on me. They’re fitting for each character’s personality. This is pretty much the first Transformers series I’m watching in full. I thought it was gonna be mainly a weekly villain thing with some wholesome slice of life, and then boom we got an episode about Ratchet’s PTSD from the war, plus a bounty hunter that collects literal parts from his targets like wtf and then he dies??? Actually I need to talk about that episode specifically for a second because you’re telling me Arcee had her own memory erased for the good of the war effort and Ratchet has to live with survivor’s guilt? That same bounty hunter nearly dismantles Optimus, and at the end of the episode at least Ratchet finally opens up. He’s literally a war vet with a bunch of kids. Go peepaw go Then a sweet Halloween special (Sari dressing up as Optimus was so cute oml my heart) and surprise! Op is reminded of the incident where he lost Elita (I’m so used to her being pink why was she yellow in this one?) and he gets a bit overprotective listening to his kids’ comms making sure they’re safe trick or treating. Love it. Then plot twist! Elita is actually Black Arachnia and an organic/robotic hybrid due to unintentionally being left for dead?! Absolutely wild.

Prowl lowkey reminds me of Tech from Bad Batch idk it’s the lack of emotion on the surface but deep underlying capacity to care. Him with the Dinobots was great they’re his buddies! He visits them! Bulkhead! My sweet guy! I can’t hear him without hearing Patrick from SpongeBob but he’s the best guy around. 10/10 would go to his art gallery.

Bumblebee in his rebellious teen phase. That’s it, and him being a big bro to Sari they’re so chaotic together.

Op being this young leader who’s still figuring things out and just trying to protect his team and make the right choices like pls give this guy a break.

I wasn’t too sure about Sari at first, but she really grew on me. It’s been like a mix of Lilo and Stitch, Steven Universe, and Bad Batch. Just a girl and her newfound alien family. She’s so op with her key like girl is keeping them alive they’ve almost died so many times (technically Prowl and Optimus did die in like the first two episodes so yeah)

Soundwave backstory was crazy I’m so used to him with his little cassette guys now he’s the cassette 😭

This went longer than I thought oop I watched the first episode for Season 2. Already love Jazz this guy passes the vibe check.

Sentinal does NOT pass the vibe check can he please leave Team Prime alone? The business people just kicking Sari out from her family company when her dad’s missing??? Vile. This poor girl’s eight years old. Tf Isaac doing you couldn’t have at least make a birth certificate for your daughter? There’s probably more thoughts on the way, but these are kind of my main ones. I meant to just have this series on in the background while I drew thinking it’d be casual, but nope lol I’m invested. Thanks for reading!
