chapter summary: Satoru faces the terrifying possibility of losing you because of someone elseās reckless mistake, but he manages to save you, bringing you back from the edge. Every touch, every word is filled with tenderness, his relief palpable as he steadies you, feeds you, and ensures you feel his warmth beside you.
warnings: near death experience from reader, description of wounds and limbs, blood, first aid (more or less adequate), "hospital" experience, Satoru is a menace (in general and to someone), hurt/comfort (a lot), a lot of caring from Satoru, full blown princess treatment for reader, pet names (princess), he is still teasing but worried.
author's note: This chapter is a little longer than I expected, but I hope you will still enjoy it c:
You lay sprawled on the floor.
Your breaths coming in ragged gasps, the taste of blood sharp and metallic on your tongue.
The ground beneath you felt warm.
You couldn't move your arm, you totally lost contact with the torn tissue. Your non-dominant hand tried to plug the hole that had formed at your abdomen.
Blood pooled around you, thick and dark, clinging to your skin and clothes, spreading beneath your body like ink on paper. Coldness began to creep in, sinking through your muscles, and with it, an unbearable heaviness.
Everything hurt you, it hurt so much.
You were so tired, sleep clawing at the edges of your mind, whispering promises of release.
You knew you didn't have much time.
You glanced out of the corner of your eye one last time, far away, to the exit of the domain that you made so that everyone could escape. Not everyone made it, you didn't have enough strength to hold the way of escape. People screamed and fled deeper into the dark, chased by the curse - leaving you alone.
With a quivering hand slick with blood, you managed to grab your phone, its surface smudged and smeared from your grip. Your thumb trembled as you unlocked the screen, the faint glow casting pale light onto your weary face.
You dialled the first number from your recent calls.
It's worth a try, maybe this domain is still weak enough that the phone signal will manage to get through.
Even the phone seemed heavy to you. You could feel yourself slowly choking as blood rushed to your throat from internal bleeding.
The call connected, and his voice filled your ear, casual, warm, blissfully unaware.
"Hey~ Relax, I know what you're calling for. I can cook that ramen. Got the recipe right here. I've got it all under control!" in the background, you could hear the shuffle of kitchen utensils, the clinking of pots and pans. There was comfort in that sound, familiar, so ordinary.
"Satoā¦ru.." you rasped, your voice barely more than a breath, your mouth filling with blood as you struggled to speak.
The noise on his end stilled in an instant. Silence fell, tense and sharp.
"Where are you?" his voice was hard, worried, so different from the playful tone heād used just seconds before.
You tried to answer, but your throat was full, each breath a struggle against the liquid heat rising up, drowning your words.
You managed to roll onto your side. You hissed as you shifted, pressing weight onto your injured arm. Blood escaped from your throat, allowing you to speak a little.
āCivilians... inside the domain..." you whispered, voice thin and fragile, every syllable a labor of will "Two curses.... the other still... lives..." you could hear a sharp clatter from his end, something falling, maybe a knife or a spoon, maybe something heavier, but it was all blending into the haze.
"Where are you, answer me (Y/N)!"
But you didn't listen, trying to gave him important information before your gone.
"Hit the mirror..." you coughed ".. when your done, it's outside."
"Damn it! Answer me!"
"I'm.. not gonna make it.." you paused, feeling your consciousness slipping away "Iām so sorry, ātoruā¦" you whispered, dropping your phone on the floor.
Darkness closed in, thick and final, but just before it claimed you, you thought you heard him calling your name, his voice taut and desperate, reaching through the static
ā
--
"Shoko! Get over here, now!"
The hospital doors flew open as he appeared, and he didnāt bother to hold back his voice, shouting Shokoās name with a force that echoed down the sterile hallways
The intensity was enough to scatter anyone who dared cross his path, medical staff and sorcerers alike stepping back, wide-eyed and fearful as Satoru strode forward, not slowing, his face an icy mask of resolve.
"Get out of my way!" he snapped at anyone lingering in the halls, his voice sharp and carrying a barely controlled fury.
Despite his quite controlled exterior, his mind was racing, worry clawing at him like heād never known. His thoughts clung to the what-ifs, the questions he never let himself think but now couldnāt ignore.
Had he made it in time?
He looked at you.
You looked like a small, battered doll. Your eyes almost lifeless, your expression petrified. The cursed energy in your body barely glimmered. He hugged you tighter to himself, pulling your limbs tighter to hold you even tighter.
"Hold on, please - we're almost there." he murmured, more to himself than to you
Please, please, please stay with me.
He turned to the left corridor.
He found her, and relief mingled with his urgency. Shoko took one look at you in his arms, the blood trailing from your side, the limp, lifeless way your arm hung by a thread, and her face paled, a steely focus settling into her gaze.
"Put her down here." Shoko ordered, snapping out of her shock.
She had no time for questions, no time for explanations. She turned to her assistants, barking orders with a precision born of experience "Prep the room. Iāll need blood transfusions - check her chart, sutures, cursed energy patches - everything we have."
Satoru laid you down on the nearest examination bed, his movements almost mechanical, though the tremor in his hands betrayed the turmoil within him. He stepped back only enough to allow Shoko space to work, his jaw clenched as he watched her assess your injuries.
The assistant returned with everything Shoko had ordered.
"Do you know how much blood she's lost?" she asked hurriedly, putting on gloves and a face mask.
"A lot" was all he could say.
She began with your shoulder, examining the nearly severed arm hanging grotesquely by a strip of muscle and skin. Blood soaked through her gloves as she lifted the limb carefully, eyes dark with concentration.
āHer arm is barely attached,ā she muttered under her breath, reaching for a clamp to stem the blood flow āThe wound is extensive, torn straight through muscle and tendons.ā
Shokoās assistant hovered nearby, their faces set in grim concentration as they handed her the tools she needed.
"Stop the bleeding in the lower abdomen." ordering one of the astists, she turned to the other "And you start the transfusions."
Satoru stayed silent, his gaze fixed on you, his body taut as he watched her work.
Shokoās hands moved deftly, sealing off the worst of the blood loss with a cursed energy barrier, pressing her hands to the wound as she worked to restore circulation to your arm. Her reverse cursed technique glowed faintly, a steady stream of healing energy pulsing through your battered shoulder as she mended the torn tendons, weaving muscle fibers back together with meticulous care. The procedure was painstaking, every inch of the damage requiring careful attention, but Shokoās focus was unshakable.
She had to stabilise you - that was the priority.
Then her hands took care of your stomach.
It took maybe 5-7 minutes, however, for Satoru everything lasted like hours. He had to stand and watch as a group of people covered the view of you.
"How bad is it?" his voice broke through the silence, rough and strained. He wanted any information. Any confirmation that he had made it in time.
Shoko glanced up, her expression guarded. āSheās lost a lot of blood. The damage is severe." she was specific and gave facts. As usual. There was no point in lying to him.
āThis..." she traced the torn flesh of your shoulder carefully "Itās so close to major arteries. Weāre lucky she made it this far."
Satoruās fists clenched, his gaze dark as he watched her press a gauze pad to your side, the blood staining it immediately.
"I got here as fast as I could." he murmured, barely more than a whisper, his voice laced with an emotion he seldom showed.
He drifted away in thought for a moment.
Slipping into his mind.
The room seemed too bright and the blood everywhere too dark. The noise of the medical machines was disturbed by the sound of his pounding heart.
His gaze lingered on the trail of blood just below his feet, leading directly to your bed. He watched the small spots on the floor, and observe as they getting bigger, literally growing before his eyes, consuming his shoes.
The sight of your body in a pool of blood flashed through his mind.
Over, and over, and over.
And over again.
Shoko's voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
To her, Satoru simply stood with his head bowed down, stone-faced.
"Gojo. Her condition is stable. Please wait outside, I will take care of everything now."
Satoru noded, his shoulders slumping.
He moved closer to the bed, he put his hand on your palm, squeezing it lightly, before turning to Shoko.
"Thank you, Shoko." he murmured, his voice barely audible.
He glanced at you again before leaving the room, watching you disappear again behind a curtain of people who were trying to keep you alive.
He knew what he had to do now.
ā
--
Satoru appeared after a while in the corridor, his footsteps echoing against the polished floor as he walked.
An energy pulsed off him in waves.
The air around him felt charged, almost volatile, his usual lighthearted demeanor replaced by something colder, something that made those nearby shrink back. His gaze was concealed behind the bandages, his expression was unreadable, a stone mask that gave nothing away.
From her spot by the wall, Shoko watched him with a wary gaze, a cigarette still held between her fingers as she blew out a last puff of smoke.
Her hard work has paid off - she has stabilised you.
She took in the scene as he approached - the smears of blood staining his jacket, the dark flecks of cursed energy lingering in the air around him, and the deep, cold set of his jaw. She could only imagine the wreckage heād left behind, the remnants of whatever curse had dared to harm you.
As he neared her, he drew a white handkerchief from his pocket, unfolding it with calm precision. Shokoās eyes followed the movement, noting the slight tremor in his fingers as he began methodically wiping away the purple blood splattered across his hands.
He moved slowly, almost obsessively, wiping each knuckle, each crease, as if trying to erase every trace of what heād done.
"Did it suffer?" she asked.
Satoru finished wiping his hands, folding the bloodstained cloth neatly before pocketing it. He didnāt answer immediately.
"More than enough." he replied after a while, his voice like steel.
The famous Gojo Satoru getting his hands dirty.
He glanced back toward your room, his shoulders relaxing ever so slightly. The fury that had burned in him faded, replaced by the exhaustion.
"Can Iā¦ see her?" his voice was low, uncharacteristically tentative.
Shoko nodded "Yes, the worst is over, sheās sleeping now."
"Thank you - again." he gave her a nod.
Without thinking, he approached the door and pulled gently on the handle, entering the room quietly.
Shoko saw that for a moment, he was the man who'd rushed to your side, not the sorcerer whoād torn through curses with cold precision.

--
The soft hum of teleportation barely registered as Satoru reappeared in his own home, the familiar surroundings both grounding and jarring. The scent of something burnt hit his nose first, and then he noticed the plume of smoke curling up from the kitchen. His stomach sank. Heād left the ramen on the stove, the pot now emitting a dark, acrid smell.
"Do you have any idea what you almost did!?" Megumi yelled, his tone sharp "You left the ramen on the stove - almost burned down the kitchen!"
Satoru opened his mouth to respond, maybe to offer a laugh or a joke, but the words died as Megumi's gaze softened, his expression changing as he took in Satoruās face. The stone face, the faint streaks of blood on his collar, the tension that lingered despite his attempts to relax. Megumiās scolding faded, and worry took its place. Tsumiki who appeared next to him had the same look on her young face.
"Iām sorry about the ramen, kiddo. I wasā¦ distracted. Something happened." Satoruās tone shifted, calm and steady, though a note of heaviness remained "There was an accident. Your mom... she got hurt pretty badly, but sheās in good hands now. Sheās being taken care of."
Both kids froze, their faces mirroring an all-too-familiar look of fear. Tsumikiās hands flew to her mouth, and Megumiās normally composed demeanor broke, his eyes wide "Is she going to be okay?" he asked, his voice soft.
"Can we see her?" Tsumiki asked, voice barely above a whisper.
"Yes." Satoru assured them, placing a gentle hand on each of their shoulders "Sheās stable now. Sheās safe." he paused, his voice softening as he added "Youāll be able to see her soon. Iāll take you both to visit her in a day or two, once sheās rested a bit. Or maybe she'll even be home by then."
The kids nodded, though their expressions were still clouded with worry. He offered them a head pat and reassuring smile, one that felt fragile even as he gave it, before excusing himself to gather a few things for you.
Satoru went to your shared room, pulling together a bag of things youād want with you. He packed the essentials - clean clothes, hygiene products, a book you hadnāt finished yet with the worn bookmark you always used. His hand lingered over his softest pair of socks, slipping them into the bag because he knew how cold you got in clinic rooms. He added a few of your favorite snacks, the ones you always reached for on the top shelf, and finally, a small cushion from the couch that still held a trace of your favorite scent. He knew these were just small things, but they felt like tiny comforts he could offer to make you feel a little less alone when you wake up.
After heād packed everything, Satoru paused in the quiet of the apartment. The kids had gone to bed, their lingering glances filled with worry and questions they hadnāt voiced.
He took a deep breath, trying to quiet the aftershocks of fear and anger that had burned through him. His fingers curled around the strap of the bag, as though anchoring himself in the thought of seeing you again, of bringing these small tokens of home to you.
He tried everything to prevent his mind from racing again.
With one last glance at the quiet apartment, he teleported back to your hospital room.

--
Light, more brightness.
More noise.
And more pain.
Your eyes flutter open, everything slowly coming into focus. A heaviness settles over your body, a dull ache throbbing in every limb. As you shift slightly, you catch sight of the IV needle taped to your hand, a soft bandage wrapped around the other, the skin numb, likely due to the strong meds theyād pumped into your system.
You exhale, bracing yourself as you slowly rise into a semi-sitting position, feeling the stiffness in your muscles protesting with every movement.
You made it through.
You're alive.
He saved you.
You knew it, you didn't see or feel him coming for you, yet only he would be able to get to you so quickly. No one else would have been able to help you.
Gratitude wells up inside you, mingled with the lingering haze of exhaustion. You don't know how to thank him. You would like to repay him in every bit of your existance.
You feel like you could lie there for hours, let the heaviness of sleep pull you back under. But, despite it all, you canāt ignore the small flicker of relief that youāre still here.
You survived today to die tomorrow.
Itās been an hour or maybe two when you tried to be awake - timeās hard to gauge in this half-dazed state.
The thought crosses your mind - just how long did you sleep?
You squint at the dim light seeping into the room, but thereās no sense of time here.
You start to egzaminate yourself.
Your dominant hand feels strange, disconnected - itās there, resting on the blanket, but no matter how much you try, you can barely move it. The faintest twitches respond to your will, but thereās almost no control, like itās not quite part of you. Itās unsettling, a reminder that your body has been through more than it can comfortably handle.
You pull the duvet, taking in the scattering of bruises and scratches that color your legs, each one a map of the recent battle. Carefully, you place your other hand on your hip, fingers brushing over a new scar, raised and raw, but without the sharpness of stitches. You can touch it, sure, and yet your senses are muted, dulled under the weight of painkillers coursing through your system. Thereās a heaviness in your head too, a sluggishness, that made you almost sloppy.
It's not so bad - you need to thank Shoko. You could feel that she's not finished yet, she probably didn't have the strength anymore, so she made what she could.
At least you had an arm, right?
A glance around the room brings your eyes to the chair beside the small cupboard. On it sits a familiar black bag, half-zipped, with the fabric bulging slightly from the careful packing. Resting on the cupboard is your book, its cover worn, your favorite bookmark peeking out from between the pages. A small smile tugs at your lips despite the discomfort.
You reach toward the bag, tugging it closer, the weight of it almost too much as your fingers dig into the straps. With effort, you haul it onto the bed, wincing as the motion tugs at sore muscles. Slowly, carefully, you unzip it, peeling back the top to reveal neatly folded fabrics inside. Clean clothes, hygiene products, snacks, a big sweater thatās unmistakably Satoruās, and a pair of warm socks - those oversized ones youād always borrowed.
You smile, the simple sight of them lifting your spirits just a little. Satoruās little touches are everywhere in this moment; heād thought of every detail. With a bit of effort, you tug on the socks, feeling their warmth, thanking him for thinking of your poor, cold limbs.
You looked at the sweater.
Your gaze shifts to the doorway, lingering a moment to ensure no one is around. The hall outside is empty, and the door to your room is slightly ajar, but not a soul is passing by. Satisfied, you turn back to Satoruās sweater, drawing it closer, letting your fingers sink into the soft fabric, drowning in the scent of his cologne mixing with something unmistakably him - a warm, comforting aroma that always brings you a sense of calm.
Itās not your fault he smells so perfect; youād picked out that cologne yourself, after all, and it suits him like nothing else.
You allow yourself a quiet smile, eyes still closed, feeling both comforted and amused at how easily his scent seems to chase away the chill of the room.
Gritting your teeth, you try to sit up, sliding your legs slowly toward the edge of the bed. A hiss escapes your lips as the pain bites sharply, sending a wave of discomfort through your side. You pause, steadying yourself, breathing through the sensation. You see that he brought you disposable flip-flops, that were lying next to this side of the bed.
Youāre just getting used to the discomfort when Shoko enters the room, her expression composed, professional, her posture radiating a calm authority. Thereās a brief flicker of warmth in her eyes as she sees you awake, but itās quickly replaced by her focused, clinical gaze. For a moment, youāre not her friend lying here in a hospital bed but her patient.
She steps closer, her eyes sweeping over you with that practiced precision, assessing every visible sign of injury.
"How are you feeling?" she asks, her voice soft yet purposeful, each word measured, carrying an undercurrent of genuine concern.
"Iāmā¦ here." you manage, letting out a weak chuckle "Can barely feel my hand, though. Just feelsā¦ dull. Heavy, I guess. Thank you for saving me."
She nods, her brow furrowing as she shifts to examine your hand. Her touch is careful, her fingertips pressing lightly along your arm, tracing the lines where numbness blurs into sensation.
"No problem. Youāre feeling dullness in the hand?" she repeats, more to herself than to you, her mind clearly already analyzing whatās needed.
"Yeah, like I know itās there, but itās not exactly responding the way it should" you explain, trying to move your fingers slightly but finding only minimal response.
Shoko mutters something under her breath, her gaze fixed on the IV as she reaches to adjust it.
"Alright, Iām putting this drip on hold for now." she announces, her tone shifting briefly into one of practiced command. She carefully unfastens the line, leaving the cannula still in place "I donāt want to remove this completely yet. Iāll need it again tomorrow. For now, though, I want things to stabilize a bit on their own."
You watch her work, noticing the subtle exhaustion in her movements "Soā¦ youāll take care of it tomorrow?" you ask, curiosity slipping into your voice.
Like, you want to have an a functioning arm - if it's avaiable?
She nods, her gaze softening for a moment as she steps back, folding her arms and glancing at the IV "Yes. Your arm should start feeling more normal by then, but I need to let things knit together a little first. And, honestlyā¦" she pauses, rubbing her eyes briefly "I donāt have the strength right now. Iāll be more useful tomorrow, after I get some rest. I'm sorry."
You thank her and study her, seeing the weight of her own exhaustion etched faintly in the way she holds herself, the way she sometimes blinks a little longer than usual. Her commitment to her work is unmistakable, but you catch the signs that even she is running low.
"How long did I sleep, anyway?" you ask, breaking the silence.
"Almost two days." she replies, her voice calm, matter-of-fact. Her gaze shifts back to you, assessing your response as though you might suddenly react to the news.
Your brows rise "Two days? Thatāsā¦ a long time."
Shoko shakes her head slightly.
"Not really. Honestly, after the state you were in, I thought you might be out for a week." she crosses her arms, her gaze steady "You lost a lot of blood, and you nearly lost a limb. Two days is impressive recovery for you."
You nod slowly, absorbing her words, realizing how close you must have come to something worse. The weight of it settles on you, a quiet reminder of just how lucky you are to still be here.
"Soā¦ Satoruās out on a mission?" you ask, hoping to change the subject, if only to lighten the mood a bit.
Shoko reaches up, twirling a strand of her hair thoughtfully "He left a few hours ago. But he should be back later. He sat by your side the whole time." her gaze flickers to the door, as if expecting him to walk in at any moment.
You nod, a small, relieved sigh escaping you "Understand."
You wonder what the kids must feel. They probably know about your condition.
Shoko settles into a chair beside your bed, glancing down at her notes, then back up at you. Thereās a hint of something in her gaze - frustration mixed with lingering concern. She takes a breath, her voice soft but firm.
"It's a miracle, really. You almost didn't make it." she says, her tone steady, but her eyes hold a fierceness that surprises you "All because someone couldn't do thier job correctly."
Your brows furrow as you try to recall the details of the mission, piecing together what you remember. Everything comes back in flashes.
Endo KyÅ, the assistant who was assigned to you and participated in that mission with you.
By your arrival, his job was to secure the area and assess the threat. According to his analysis, there was a grade one curse in the domain.
In fact, there were two curses in the domain. However, you had no idea about this.
One was trapped in the domain of the other - the one that attacked you first inside, wasn't responsible for the domain. You knew something was wrong when, after killing this one, the domain didn't start to disintegrate. You thought it was a matter of place or vail that the assistant should apply. Through the effect of the domain, you were unable to effectively sense the presence of the other one on time.
You were outclassed.
The second curse emerged just as you were making a hole in the shell so that civilians could safely leave the area.
You got hit, unable to dodge the attack.
"He seemed fine as a person, maybe a little weird. He's new, mistakes happen. Like... I remember my beginnings. He'll learn." you sigh resignedly.
Shokoās expression sharpens, a seriousness in her eyes that makes you pause "Heās not new." she says flatly.
"Huh?"
"He originally worked in Kyoto. He was transferred here after a similar incident, a really similar case." you listened in disbelief, looking at Shoko with wide eyes.
"And..." she continued "Because he has connections with higher-ups, it was decided to transfer him disciplinary to our grounds, rather than dismiss him for his apparent negligence." her words sink in like a stone, leaving you in stunned silence.
You stare at her, the shock sinking in like ice. Your fists clench at your sides, the dull ache in your hand momentarily forgotten as your fingers press into your palm. You are livid.
What a fucking asshole.
Shoko watches you, her own expression dark.
"Well... Gojo had an even worse reaction." she says quietly, glancing down as if recalling the scene.
"What do you mean?"
"Gojo found out what Endo did not long after you were brought in." she begins.
Oh no.
"I donāt think Iāve ever seen him like that. He marched right up to Endo and tore into him. It wasā¦ intense." she stated "He didnāt even gave him a chance to speak before he cornered him, demanding to know if he had any sense of care at all. Told him that as a assisnant, he should take his comradesā lives as seriously as he takes his own and that his failure is just as spectacularly dumb as he is."
She goes on, eyes narrowing "He pointed out every mistake and every omission to him as if he had no filter. I guess he controled himself a little at least, because he looked like he was fighting not to snap. The guy nearly passed out there."
You couldn't believe what you were just hearing.
"In the end he said something along the lines that if he saw him near his wife again - he won't hold back and won't care if someone is watching, he'll just kill him on the spot."
ā
--
After some time a pang of hunger twists in your stomach, and the uncomfortable reminder that youāll need the bathroom soon follows.
You try to get up again, struggling with the same discomfort as before.
"Oh no~ The sleeping beauty is already up and I missed the wake-up kiss." you heard his voice behind you. You chuckled weakly. He goes around your bed.
Despite his lighthearted words, you can sense the undercurrent of concern beneath them. You can see it more when he comes closer a heaviness, a weight thatās hard to miss.
"You really shouldnāt be getting up, princess." he murmurs, his fingers gentle and lingering as they steady your shaking body "Wouldn't want you losing a glass slipper on the way to the bathroom, would we?"
You roll your eyes, managing a faint laugh "Wrong princess, you dork. You don't have to help me, I'll manage somehow, you did enough for me." you try to be polite, but a hiss escape your lips, when you stand for a first time.
"Consider it royal decree: this dork is helping you, no arguments." he replies, slipping his arm more firmly around you despite your protest, his playful tone does little to mask the concern in his eyes as he holds you steady.
Together, you make your way out into the corridor, Satoru guiding you carefully, matching his steps to your slower pace. His hand never leaves you, and he keeps glancing over, checking on you, asking if youāre alright, if anythingās hurting more than it should. You answer quietly, pointing out the sharper aches and the duller bruises. The warmth of his arm around you, his attention, feels steadying, grounding you in a way thatās as comforting as it is unusual.
But of course he had to tease you a little bit.
"You know, for a princess, youāre not exactly gliding gracefully down the hall. Need me to summon some royal attendants to carry you on a velvet throne?"
You scoff, wincing slightly as another sharp ache flares up "No throne required. Iāll walk, thank you very much."
He chuckles, adjusting his hold on you "Brave as ever. But if you start fading from exhaustion, Iām totally picking you up. Wouldnāt want you fainting and having to explain to the entire staff how their little Sleeping Beauty managed to end up on the floor."
You roll your eyes, his teasing both comforting and mildly embarrassing "Theyād have to call you Prince Charming in that case, huh?"
Satoru grins, dramatically flicking an imaginary cape over his shoulder "I knew you saw it in me. But donāt worry, Iām perfectly fine with just āYour Highnessā for now. āPrince Charmingā can wait for special occasions."
The faint murmur of clinic activity surrounds you, and as the two of you walk through the corridor, you catch a few people glancing your way, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and surprise. Satoru doesnāt seem to notice, or maybe he just doesnāt care. Heās focused on you, steadying you with each step, his hand firm yet gentle on your side.
His words are teasing, playfull as ever. But his touch is delicate, caring - and it's making your heart flutter.
When no oneās around, you feel his fingers subtly adjusting the back of your hospital gown, and though he doesnāt mention it, you know itās his quiet way of looking out for you.
When you finally reach the bathroom, he stops just outside, his arm slipping away but his gaze fixed on you with an almost exaggerated seriousness "Now, donāt go pulling a Cinderella and sneaking away, alright? Iāll be here if you need me to hold your royal gown or anything. Very dignified service - Iām quite experienced."
You chuckle despite yourself, finding his lighthearted support surprisingly pleasant "Yeah, sure, Iāll call my āknight in shining armorā if I need any bathroom assistance."
He smirks, leaning casually against the wall "Good. Because a princess should never have to face a hallway alone."
You linger in the bathroom a moment, catching your reflection in the small, unflattering mirror. Your face stares back, hollowed with exhaustion, skin pale and dull under the fluorescent light. Your hair clings in greasy strands, reminding you just how long youāve been out. It's strange seeing yourself this way - vulnerable, worn down, every bruise and shadow a testament to the last ordeal. Your outfit must be pretty ridiculous too with his oversize sweater, hospital gown, oversized socks and slippers.
Your look is not very princess-like.
You wonder if you should talk to him about what happends now.
However, you conclude that it is better to wait until you return from your meal so that you can talk to him in peace, unless he is called away on a mission.
When you step out, Satoruās waiting right there, his hand reaching out to take yours. The familiar warmth of his touch steadies you, grounding you once more.
"What else does my princess need?" he teases softly, his tone light yet gentle "A breakfast feast? A little pampering session?" you pass him a tired smile, thereās still a glint of mischief in his tone "How about I whisk you off to your favorite ramen place? I could get us there in two seconds flat."
"As tempting as that sounds, I donāt think I could handle being teleported just yet. And I don't like it that much." you laugh, shaking your head. You wouldn't go anywhere in this outfit anyway.
"Right." he nods, pretending to think it over "Hmm. Guess the royal express is on hold today. "he says with a mock sigh of disappointment "Alright, weāll go with the classic approach - school cafeteria it is. Nothing but the finest cuisine for you."
It's been a long time since you ate food from the school canteen. You wonder if it's as dull and bland, as it was back in your school days.
With a reassuring squeeze, he guides you down the corridor, his arm firmly around you as you both navigate to the a small room. A tiny, cramped and bright room, with a few tables, coffe maschine and a microwave, where the medical assistants usually take their meals. The antiseptic smell is a sharp contrast to the warmth of his arm and his steady presence beside you, as though heās somehow blocking out the cold, sterile atmosphere.
When you reach the cafeteria, he gently seats you on one free table. He gently steers you into a seat, his hands lingering for a moment as if making sure youāre settled.
"Now, stay put." he commands lightly"Canāt have the princess fainting. Iāll be back in a flash."
You take a moment, resting your head back against the seat, allowing the gentle hum of the cafeteria to settle around you. Itās oddly peaceful here, the faint murmur of voices blending with the rhythmic clatter of dishes.
Itās only a few moments before heās back, a tray laden with food and drinks balanced effortlessly in his hands. He grins, setting it down with a flourish "Behold, a feast fit for a princess." he declares, gesturing grandly to a couple of steaming bowls of soup, a small pile of rice, orange chcicken and some kind of dessert.
You raise an eyebrow, but you smile a little anyway "I think you might be confusing 'princess' with 'army,' but thank you."
"Look, every princess deserves options. You donāt know what royal cravings might strike once you start eating." he starts to lay everything out on a small table.
You laugh, the sound softer than usual but genuine "Well, I appreciate the royal treatment."
His gaze softens, the usual teasing glint tempered by something warmer "You deserve it." he says, his voice barely above a murmur.
You're looking at him, your eyes a little wide, you're holding on a little blush.
You give Satoru a grateful smile as he hands you the cutlery, and you gave each other quick "Itadakimasu" before digging in. Satoru starts eating right away, taking his first bite with his usual relaxed ease, but as you reach for your chopsticks with your non-dominant hand, reality sinks in quickly.
After a few frustrating tries, you reach for the spoon, hoping itāll be easier, only to watch a scoop of soup drip right back into the bowl.
Well.. this is embarresing.
Satoruās gaze flicks to you, catching the small, defeated sigh you let out as you set the spoon down. Quietly, he puts his chopsticks aside and shifts his chair closer, his expression warm and amused as he leans in without a word.
You glance at him, brow raised in surprise "What are you doing?"
"Whatās it look like?" he murmurs, reaching for the spoon and swirling it through the soup with exaggerated elegance "Need a hand, princess?"
You raise a brow, a mix of embarrassment and exasperation flooding through you "Satoru, you donāt have to - "
"Oh, but Iām honored to assist." he interrupts, holding the spoon up with a little flourish "A princess deserves only the finest dining experience, after all." his grin is maddeningly playful as he offers the spoon to you "Now, I believe itās customary for royalty to accept help gracefully."
Heat rises to your cheeks, but your stomach growls in agreement, much to his amusement. He raises an eyebrow, clearly delighting in your hesitation "See? Your stomachās on board. Now, letās get you to eat."
Reluctantly, you lean forward, taking the spoonful he offers, trying to ignore how closely heās watching you. You know it, even if you don't see his eyes, you could feel them on you. The warmth of the soup is comforting, but his actions - soft yet mischievous - truly catches you off guard. He scoops up another spoonful, waiting patiently. You feel the gaze of everyone in the room on you. Satoru seems to ignore it.
"This is ridiculous." you mumble, cheeks flushed.
"Oh, hush. Have some table manners, will you?" he teases, holding the next spoonful right in front of your mouth "Itās rude to speak with your mouth full, you know. Now, aaa~"
ā
--
Shoko steps into the room, clipboard in hand and a focused look on her face. She pauses mid-step, though, taking in the sight before her.
There you are, on the bed, head resting peacefully on Satoruās shoulder, breaths slow and steady in sleep. Your healthy arm is entwined with his, fingers curled against his sleeve as if holding onto him even in your dreams. A soft, well-worn book rests in his lap, open to a half-read page, hinting that you two had been reading together until sleep claimed you.
Satoru glances up as Shoko enters, catching her eye and lifting a finger to his lips in a silent request to keep quiet. Thereās a surprising gentleness in his expression, something soft and protective that Shoko rarely sees, especially in him. He gives her a slight smile, nodding subtly toward you as if to say - Let them rest a little longer.
Shoko raises an eyebrow but doesnāt make a sound. Sheād always known Satoru had a soft spot for you, but seeing it here, so unguarded, speaks volumes. She makes a note on her clipboard, then gives a little nod and steps back, closing the door softly behind her.
Satoru watches her go, his hand shifting slightly to adjust the blanket over you and brushing a strand of hair away from your face. He glances down at you, a faint smile tugging at his lips as he returns his attention to the book, careful not to disturb you, content to sit in this rare moment of peace.
He is so glad that you are here, with him.

Alex: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! [wheeeeeeze] Byrd: Woah, lady-.. I know karate! Wren: No, you donāt. Byrd: [whispers] She doesnāt need to know that. Wren: Itās Alex, dipshit. Byrd: Ohhh-.. wait, really? Wren: Sure looks like her.
Alex: Oh my god, I found you-.. and I followed your CAT! I missed you so much!! I hope youāre not mad at me-.. Iām so SO sorry for not writing! I thought I was being organised by printing some labels out to save time, yāknow? But then I forgot them at home when we went to my uncles and dad said weād only be gone for a month, so I figured it wasnāt a huge deal, but then we stayed for what felt like itād be FOREVER and I couldnāt for the life of me remember your address which is ridiculous ācause I SHOULDāVE had it memorised by now and I felt so awful as the months passed. I tried to remember it a couple times but you never wrote back so I figured I obviously got it wrong-.. then I tried finding your house on a stupid online map but the internet was crappy at best and the Bay is WAY bigger than I thought itād be and Iāve never really seen your house in full view from the street either so, like.. I barely knew what I was looking for, and what if that camera car didnāt even map your house, yāknow?!
Ava: That was.. a lot. Alex: Sorry-.. youāre not mad, are you? [Robin shook his head and took a breath, but nothing came out] Wren: Oop. Byrd: Yeah, I think he broke. Ava: Ooh, do you know sign language? Alex: No-.. I totally shouldāve learnt! I guess I didnāt know Iād be coming here thoughā¦ Byrd: I can teach you! Well, some, Iām still learning, but Robin knows a bunch. Ava: Heās not mad, by the way. He was just worried. [Robin shot his younger siblings a look, fruitlessly warning them not to embarrass him] Byrd: Iām sure heād say hi, if he could. Wren: I bet heād say you look pretty too. Byrd: Heās been extra mopey without your letters-.. or maybe thatās just what puberty does. Ava: He has to wear deodorant now, otherwise he STINKS! Wren: You should stay for supper, dadās baking something.. again. Alex: Ough.. I was supposed to be home ages ago, dadāll kill me.. wait, what school do you go to?! Byrd: Bay C-ā¦ Wren: Not us-.. he goes to Copperdale. Alex: Ohh, yay! I promised dad Iād finally unpack tomorrow but the day after that is Monday, right? Wren: Well done. Alex: Okay-.. ahhhh! SEE YOU AT SCHOOL!!

[Robin deflated as soon as Alex liberated him from another bear hug and sped off, releasing a breath heād kept tucked beneath his ribs for an uncomfortably lengthy amount of time] Robin: Ouuuuuuuuuuuuugh. Robin: Why-.. why am I like this? Wren: Youāll spew something out eventually. Oscar: Alright losers, pieās-.. whatās up with him? Robin: Iām fucking BROKEN. Wren: I mean.. youāre a little fucked, but still good! Oscar: Quit it with the swearing-.. what happened? Wren: Alex showed up nā he broke. Robin: I didnāt even get to say hi or ask why sheās here, or for how long-.. and you just had to be embarrassing! Oscar: Whatād she say? Robin: She said Alex was pretty on my behalf and Iāve never said that and sheās a DICK! Oscar: Thatās tame-.. for Wren. Robin: I hate you all right now. Wren: Not as much as you hate yourself. Oscar: Hey, too much! Robin, cāmon-ā¦ Robin: SHUT UP! Oscar: Right, youāre on dish duty. Wren: Seriously?! Oscar: You reap what you sow, honey.

You're still in Fromville, not having escaped yet but making the best of it.

ć»Domesticity to Boyd is so much different in this town compared to the 'real' world.
ć»For example, he would be awake before you, no matter the day just so he could surprise you with your favourite drink and a pastry each morning.
ć»The chores would be split 50/50, with Boyd usually picking up any slack (he doesn't mind at all)
ć»He loves doing the laundry, folding your clothes with so much care.
ć»But here... his actions to show his love are limited and it kinda pisses him off
ć»But you constantly remind him of all the good he's done here and how he keeps everyone together.
ć»You celebrate every win, even the small ones.
ć»Boyd is big on DIY, and loves fixing up things for you. Anything you ask - you want a different type of curtain, or you want part of the window patched up - he does NOT let you do it. That is HIS job.
ć»Massaging his shoulders at night, feeling how taught he is. This town is so hard on him. It constantly makes you wonder, why him?
ć»You do have one rule though: last one in bed has to make it!
ć»Boyd seems like the type of person to keep everything about himself to himself. But that isn't true. He likes telling you things, he enjoys opening up to you.
ć»One really important factor in your relationship is the challenges of town and its mysteries.
ć»Many people in town were basically betting how long you two would together.
ć»But what they didn't know, was that the horrors STRENGTHENED your bond. It made you both rely on each other so deeply.
ć»Having a partner means so much to him.
ć»Boyd loves you so much. He would never burden you with what he knows, but he loves when you have random conversations.
ć»It makes things feel just a bit more normal. It gives him hope.
š²šššš āā“ļøĖļ½”ā
ć»Mornings and nights are especially special to you both
ć»Slow, careful, mindful, warm and cosy.
ć»Touching each other in some way - hugging each other from behind, pinkies entwined, cheek kisses, forehead kisses, rubbing noses together - if anyone else saw you too they would gag (ITS CALLED LOVE)
ć»Kenny LOVES tucking you in at night.
"You comfy now?" As he wedges the blanket under the side of your body.
"Yes Kenny! Now get in bed you loser!" You answer laughing.
"Okay, okay, I'm just looking after the most important person in my life thank you very much."
ć»You love listening to him; to his stories about his childhood up until he came to town.
ć»One of Kenny's favourite things is when you read to him. Even if you don't have a book in front of you, he just wants you to recount as much as you can from books you have read.
ć»Might be kind of painful, but you two like talking about how life would be like together outside of this hell.
ć»Owning two cats, two dogs, maybe some fish.
ć»Whenever you hear the creatures screeching, you automatically cling to Kenny, you can't help it. You HATE the noises.
ć»But you always feel safe around Kenny. Always.
"I've got you. I swear to god I'll never let anything happen to you."
š±šš
š āā“ļøĖļ½”ā
ć»Every morning he gives you a kiss on the head and 'tip toes' out of the room, trying not to disturb you.
ć»You usually yell at him to get back in bed
"My looooooove, I have important business to attend to!"
ć»The bed is pressed up against the wall, and Jade says if someone/something were to enter the room, he would be the first thing they see
ć»From then he starts his daily ritual of figuring out how to get the hell home
ć»Jade teaches you A LOT of stuff. And you're always surprised by how well he does at teaching. He's patient (only with you but you don't know that), and takes his time to teach in ways you'll understand (once again, only for you...)
ć»He is like a walking computer at times. Really good with dates and great with measurements.
ć»But one thing he is terrible about is the fact that he's a repeat offender blanket stealer. Absolute criminal.
ć»No matter how much you tug and pull, or wrap yourself in it, Jade somehow unravels you in his sleep and takes the blanket.
ć»When you both wake up, you've practically snuggled underneath him...
"Babe, what are you doing?"
"You stole the blanket again and I got cold," you reply muffled beneath him. He's very warm.
"Oh god, sorry! We ah, we should probably get more blankets then... god why didn't you wake me?"
"Wake you? Ever since we got our own place, you've slept like you've never done so in your life!"
ć»It was quiet before he replied, and then he wrapped his arms around you.
"That's because I haven't sleep properly before I met you."

ššš āā“ļøĖļ½”ā
ć»Your relationship with Randall is one that surprises you. Constantly.
ć»People don't see him the way you do. At times they start to though.
ć»But only you get to see his true soft side. The side that moves the hair from your face, kisses your forehead, nudges his nose against your own.
ć»You are the ONLY person to make him laugh.
ć»He knows so much about you - the way you like your clothes folded or hung up. He knows which books are your favourite, which song you could listen to on replay.
ć»Music is a big thing to Randall, and the fact that he can't just randomly play something on his phone gets him really down.
ć»So one night you guys make a list of every song you like, when you heard it and what it made you feel
ć»Making each other guess who you were before arriving in hell.
"Hmm... you were ... a ... farmhand on a ranch..."
"What the fuck Y/N."
"What? Were you?"
"Oh yeah sure, you hit the nail straight on the head sweetcheeks," and then he rolled his eyes.
ć»You laugh, loving when he gets 'annoyed' (you know he can never really be annoyed with you right?)
ć»You know each other's favourite tv shows, colours, smells, literature and so on. You whisper to each other through the night, trying to take your mind off of the screeching coming from outside.
š¬šššš āā“ļøĖļ½”ā
ć»Always the last to get up, sometimes he wakes before you but he'll still lay in bed, watching you sleep. Sometimes blowing air on your face when it's been a few hours and he gets bored
ć»Leaving sweet notes in unexpected places, they range from:
'hey baby, went down to do some work in the greenhouse, love you xx' to 'yo sexy honey see you tonight ;)'
ć»And you keep every single one of them. You have a sort of time capsule thing underneath the bed in one of your bags. Just small photos, letters written to each other, etc.
ć»Side note - Ellis is a cheeky man who loves to rile you up. Push your buttons. Make you red in the face.
ć»But he knows when enough is enough; he's extremely intune with your moods and doesn't have to ask when the days get too much.
ć»LOVES MAKING UP RANDOM SONGS ABOUT YOU, they are terrible but they make you laugh
ć»CONSTANTLY setting up spontaneous things for you guys to do. Seeing a smile on your face is the best thing he has ever seen.
ć»Literally puppy love.
ć»You guys seem to be able to talk to each other mind to mind. Glances from across the room are easily read by one another.
š½ššššš āā“ļøĖļ½”ā
PSA: As I said above, I'm not sure if Victor can be a romantic partner - I would love everyone's thoughts on it and maybe we can come to some kind of agreement??? Anyway, read this how you like ā”ā¾āā½ā”
ć»Home...this town is the only home that Victor had ever truly known.
ć»How could you show him that the way he'd been living was not normal? That he should be able to feel safe, he should have gone to school - maybe even his drawing could have evolved into something astonishing
ć»So, in little ways you introduce this life to him
ć»He can't remember his birthday (so you help him choose one) and the two of you, along with Ethan, Tabitha and Julie celebrate
ć»...home decor projects are mostly just Victor's drawings. The really scary ones, you ask to be put away and he obliges <3
ć»Victor is used to living with other being, but not sleeping in the same room as another person.
ć»You would also need to get used to his blatant honesty. It isn't like he's trying to hurt you but he can just be brutally honest.
ć»Picnics in your room where you scavenge whatever food you can and talk about the funniest things you've seen people do
"I saw Jim ... trip over today," Victor says in a hushed voice, a cookie halfway to his mouth.
You burst out laughing, even snorting as you imagine the uppity Jim Matthews take a tumble.
"God, I wish I saw that."
ć»At first Victor didn't want another friend. He didn't want to get close to someone, he knew something would happen to you. You'd be taken away from him.
ć»But you swore to him that you would always be there for him.
ć»In town, and when everyone leaves. You've told him that you can be his home, his family.

In the wake of hearing that DC is making a Dick Grayson and Jason Todd movie and that they're supposedly gonna be screwing up Dick and Jason's backstories, I started thinking about what kind of Nightwing & Red Hood movie I would want to see, in addition to what kind of batfam movies in general I would want to see. I offer for consideration:
Nightwing and Red Hood: Last Defenders. While on patrol, Nightwing stumbles upon the hints of a truly diabolical plot taking shape to topple not just Gotham, but possibly the entire planet while the majority of Earth's heroes are presently indisposed, including most of the batfam. Batman and most of the JL are off world, the Titans are tied up, even Alfred's away, etc- leaving Nightwing and Red Hood as the only two people left to defend Gotham. This is set in a world sometime after UtRH; Jason's identity has been revealed, and he has an uneasy truce settled with the Bats ("you don't bother me, I don't bother you"). The movie follows them through their journey as Dick tries to convince Jason to work with him, they narrowly escape lots of explosions, and argue about Dick's failings as a brother and everything Jason has done since coming back. It all culminates in an epic 2v1 battle with the Big Bad and resolves with them saving the day and coming to an emotional understanding- a hopeful ending, looking towards a future in which Jason might be able to improve his standing with the Bats. BONUS END CREDITS SCENE: Bruce arrives home to a quiet manor. He goes to the kitchen and makes some tea. Goes to the den, and draws up short in the doorway. Dick and Jason are sprawled across the couch, half on top of each other, dead asleep. The credits of a movie are scrolling on the TV. Bruce buffers for a moment, before smiling and deftly whipping out his phone and snapping several pictures. Then he turns off the TV, drapes a blanket over them, and kisses both of them on the forehead.
The Waynes in: Mission Impossible. Bruce and his sons must attend the fancy gala of Evil Rich Man, and foil his diabolical supervillain plot while undercover as the Wayne family. Ideally, without ruining the gala. (Spoiler: they ruin the gala). This is firmly an action comedy, with maybe some sprinkles of family angst thrown in. Otherwise, though, this movie includes a gratuitous amount of puns, the Wayne Men in really sharp tuxes, Jason blowing up several things, Tim and Bruce holding the only braincells in the operation, Jason losing his suit jacket and tie 5 minutes into the gala, and Bruce being Tired. At a later point in the mission they need a distraction, and without hesitation Damian whips around and punches Tim in the face. They proceed to have a very loud and explosive fistfight. Tim YEETS Damian into the dessert table. Bruce groans into his hands.
The Battle of Wayne Manor. Dick, Jason, and Alfred are the only ones home to defend the Manor against a dangerous team of superhuman home invaders, Home Alone style. As soon as the three of them are aware of the situation, Alfred marches over to a panel in the wall, opens up a secret compartment, and pulls out an AK-47. "I have not spent three-fourths of my life at this Manor for a group of brutish, arrogant thugs to think they can just waltz in and lay claim to the place. As you like to say, Master Jason- let's light em up, boys." This can be a serious film or another action comedy. It's pretty much just Home Alone with some guns thrown in. They blind the invaders with several disgustingly bright glitter bombs and then Alfred whips out from behind a corner with his rifle, they've got booby traps on all the staircases, Jason's throwing pies at people, etc. The most important detail is that they successfully defend their home as civilians. No use of vigilante skills whatsoever. The news are baffled and the boys cheekily only comment that Home Alone is a cherished childhood film in their household. This plot could be edited to include Tim, Damian, and even Bruce as well, I just initially thought of it as just Dick, Jason, and Alfred.

Why are the members vibes progressively getting negative and kinda hopeless? Like a few weeks ago they were kinda confident about this situation but now they seem like accepting the situation as it is.
Of course we as fans would keep raising our voices for him but he feels so helpless these days I hope sm could give him some good news soon
I don't really think that is true. I say this with love and no ill will- but I think you are seeing one sector of something and running with it.
None of them are feeling hopeless. Helplessness and hopelessness are two different things. And sometimes even if we are helpless it's more positive than negative, like a "ive done everything I could, now lets just relax and wait"
For instance I would say that Sohee and Seunghan are the most Helpless* members currently. Let's dissect what I mean by this based on my readings.
Sohee and Seunghan both understand that certain things are now out of their hands. If I were to be specific, Sohee understands that he is a younger member- his opinions are not going to be listened to as much because he is not able to communicate on a level where older adults respect him that much yet. He aslo does not like being scolded and doesn't have enough extroversion or confidence to see those things through. He is helpless bc he has done what he is able to do to help and feels he cannot do anything more himself. HOWEVER he has hope and faith that good things will pull through even without his assistance.
For Seunghan, he has not "given up" nor resigned. He has come to a similar verdict in that he won't necessarily be heard as an equal and he will have to wait to hear the verdict before making any more decisions for himself regardless.
When you have taken your exam- it is no longer in your hands. Your teacher will grade it. They may curve the grade depending on who got the highest score, they may give you extra points and you may pull through- or not. Whatever happens it is no longer something within your control which is not necessarily BAD, it just IS. Does that make more sense?
So the diff between these two and...let's say Sungchan for example is what? It's that Sungchan has extra cards in his hand. He has a cheat sheet. Or maybe the teacher likes him a lot and will allow him to revise his test.
Sungchan is a person who IS able to communicate very effectively to the older adults in their situation. He has the extroversion needed, the correct words to say, and is confident in doing so. He does not feel helpless. He feels determined. I would say NONE of the members feel particularly HOPELESS.... and that only Sohee and Seunghan feel like they have completed their tasks and, therefore, are helpless to a certain degree as they wait for results.
I hope this makes more sense. None of them have lost hope or anything. It's about reality and realizing what you must allow to play out. None of them are particularly negative. Just anxious.

Jared Bush says Frozen 3 will surprise people | Latest Updates
In an interview during D23, last weekend in Brazil, Jared Bush, the recently appointed CCO, gave away some teases about Moana 2, Zootopia 2 and the future of Encanto, but he also mentions a bit about Frozen 3.
He says:
āYeah, yeah, Frozen 3 is coming. And from what I've seen so far [of the film] I think people are going to be surprised. I canāt give away too many spoilers, other than to say that Jennifer Lee is leading the charge and that the story and the direction that sheās taking these characters, what theyāre facing, what theyāre going to go through, I think is going to surprise a lot of people but it's also going to deliver on everything that people love about Frozen.ā
So surprised is the word he uses to describe how we'll react to Frozen 3. That's given because as Jen has said recently that the concept art that was shown during this year's first D23 is just a glimpse of what we could see in the movie. Apart from what we make from that concept we have no clue what Frozen 3 is about and tbh I have to give it to the team for not spilling a single detail about the movie. I know we want to know more but imo I think they're saving all that content for the end of 2026 and into 2027. Maybe a few teases or better insight of the story by the end of 2025, but who knows. Probably also because they're still working on it so whatever they would have told us about the film so far, could have changed and form opinions in our heads about it which they really don't need at this current stage of production. I don't think the cast have even got the script yet as the story is still developing!
Bush also mentions that Frozen 3 is going to deliver on everything that people love about Frozen. Now that's the only real piece of information given - the focal point being on what we want to see. That's what the questions on the first D23 event were about - what we would like to see, what we feel is left to tell. We love the characters, the story, the individual arcs of those characters, the dynamics, the settings, the potential, the mystery, and so much more and so I'll take this a positive sign. That's all of what I make of it.
I know nothing major was revealed in this interview, but I still thought I'd share for those who do take into consideration these little hints and teases. Since Frozen 3's date has been pushed back from 2026 to 2027, most of the content will be given the year of the release and some the year before base done the previous two films promotion (it could be different as this movie is a two parter). I know that's quite long to think about (š) especially with the honest disappointment that Frozen Winter Festival was not a short film or an official short series but rather just a YouTube series (which is cute nonetheless and good to see they're feeding the younger fans of the franchise), but now moving into 2025 we have 2 and bit years left so we should get more teases in interviews and events here and there.
But regarding FWF, I don't blame them too much because all their focus is on the Frozen 3 and 4 as it is being made back to back, then I'm certain it'll be worth the wait. We can still hope for some kind of Frozen content soon as we do have a couple more years to go so let's see. š¤·š½āāļø
P.s I have some Frozen edits I'd love to share so I'll post those if you need something new regarding Frozen. āļø

May I request scout and demo (and maybe heavy if you want) with a ftm reader??? It can be any scenario NSFW, sfw idc. I'm hungry and I need food š (you don't gotta do this btw just a little thought ā„ļø)
-ā¼ļø
āWith a FTM reader!
Genre: slice of life, fluff! Male reader!
Characters: Scout, Demo, Heavy
Of COURSE I will write this. Relationship left pretty ambiguous. Hope you enjoy! Thank you again for the ask!
Scout
Scout definitely doesnāt realize without you spelling it out for him, no matter how āfeminineā you may present.
Asks A LOT of questions, borders on invasive, but is just genuinely pretty confused and intrigued about it.
āSoā¦ wait, you were born a chick, but now youāre a guy? Howās dat work?ā
āScout, we have been over this. Literally ten times,ā you say, exasperated.
After the initial long and honestly exhausting conversation, the two of you feel closer for it. Heās secretly sentimental as hell, so he appreciates you telling him so much, like it genuinely makes him feel so trusted.
When you come out to him, the support is not instant, as he tends to show these kinds of things in really covert ways, he doesnāt want anyone knowing he has a big heart.
But the second someone says something out of line that is when his support is the most apparent. Always corrects someone when they misgender you, but if they continue after he corrects them? Buddy, itās over.
You tell scout you appreciate it, but you can stand up for yourself. Heās not really having it though, too hot headed to let it go.
Genuinely forgets your trans at time.
āWhy donāt you ever use the urinals? Sāweird,ā the commented once as you left the bathroom together.
āScout.ā
āWhat?ā He blinked at you dumbly for a few seconds, before realization dawns on him āoh shit! Dats right, sorry.ā
Heās trying his best.
Demoman
Demo is part of team ānot really my business so it doesnāt affect meā
As in it doesnāt really affect the way that he feels about you, or the way he treats you.
Doesnāt ask any questions unless itās clear to him itās something youād like to talk about.
Depending on closeness he may even feel confident in making some jokes about it. Only if you find them funny though, absolutely wouldnāt do it if made you upset/uncomfortable.
Is big into giving you male experiences that you may have missed out on, mostly clichƩ and stereotypical things, some of which you have probably definitely done before.
āDemo, I think weāre a little too old to be playing trains right now,ā you say, holding a train in your hand.
āFine then, Iāll just clean it up then,ā Demo said with a huff.
You stop him āwellā¦ I didnāt say that.ā
Letās you speak for yourself in most settings, but if you ever express your discomfort in a situation he wonāt hesitate to remove you from it/remove the person causing this discomfort.
Doesnāt make a huge scene, will take the blame for you saying itās him whoās got a problem.
Demo supports you when you need it, encourages you through your medical transition if you choose to do so/if you havenāt already.
Alternatively, reassures you that youāre not less of a man for not having surgeries or using HRT if you choose not to.
I honestly believe that Demo has been around a lot of queer people, heās the worldās best trans ally.
Heavy
Heavy, like Scout has a lot of questions when you come out. Isnāt nearly as invasive and holds back anything that he thinks may make you uncomfortable.
It doesnāt change how he views you, thinks of you as man no matter what.
Really appreciates that heās someone you trust enough to tell, even if he doesnāt fully get it, he understands that it can be a nerve wracking thing to talk about.
Recommends medic if you want to have any surgeries done, respectfully you decline. Fearing for the rest of your organs well being.
Heavy does a lot of reading to ensure he gets things right, but only brings up your transness if you do.
Loves hearing about your trans experience if you tell him about it, will listen intently taking mental notes.
Doesnāt feel the need to protect you, youāre a grown man who handled himself perfectly fine without him. But, like Demo, if he feels you getting a little out of your depth all he really has to do is come stand behind you.
Gender affirming nicknames, always. I feel like Heavy is big into nicknames some of his favorite for you is ābig manā āguyā āhandsomeā if heās feeling bold.
āHow is the big man today,ā he asked coming up to you one day.
You chuckle a little bit āit really should be me asking you that.ā
Being with Heavy is a testosterone booster, just enjoy being masculine together.
OOOOO I LOVED WRITING THIS SO MUCH. I may revisit this idea later and add more of the mercs, for now I have more asks to get to! Thanks so much for the ask! (*ļ¾ā½ļ¾*)

So remember this? Could we have a fem Black Myth Wukong and D.O in this?
And for shits and giggles maybe a fem Erlang dragging a heavily pregnant Wukong and being upset with reader because, and I quote, "Because of you, she can no longer drink with me!"
And a pregnant D.O following her angry auntie Pigsy who's just lashing out at reader because, and again I quote, "YOU DEFILED MY CUTE LITTLE NIECE!!!"
Oh man here we goš¤£š¤£š¤£
(BMW Wukong) Ohhhhhhhhhh jeez of all the irresponsible sh*t she has done, this had to be the cherry on top. Listen, it was a few mouths back she was had went to a celestial party with Erlang and had a few waaaaaaaay to many drinks together. Erlang had to go to the bathroom, and that's when she saw you from across the dance floor a tall, hot male monkey man.
You were smoking a blunt with an annoyed expression on your face, you were wearing all white clothes and you were also bored and nobody to dance with. Wukong jaw had dropped and purred at you and strutted over and began flirting with you and smiled back at her. Then you treated her to some more rice wine, and you both started to make out, and soon you both went to one of the backroom and got it onnnnn all night long. You left her alone that next morning as you were out on Vacation, but unknown to you, you had left a parting gift with her. Although months later you were at home when their was banging on your door, you opened it to see a pissed 3 eyed lady.
(Erlang) YOU DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA ON WHAT YOU DONE?! YOU HAD KNOCKED HER UP?! AND BECAUSE OF THAT NOW WE CAN'T DRINK ANYMORE!!!!!š”š”š”
You were shocked and majorly confused until you saw a familiar female monkey who was very, very pregnant. Ohhhhhhhhhh jeez this is gonna require a little explanation but your secretly excited, Or else Erlang would make you take responsibility.
(Destined one) You ran a tiny book and tea shop that also sells plushies in a quiet village, and because of your job, you met the destined one. She was looking for a book during her travels and you found her to be adorable and quiet, but she walked into your shop looking so serious. You chirped at her out of concern for her and soon you both found that you had a lot in common and it helps that you don't talk very much either. Though you both enjoy each other company she had to leave, but from all the time in your village she came to your shop every day. You both grew closer, and your bond grew, and one night, you took her out on a date, and you both had some drinks from a restaurant. Then you both soon had your first kiss, and apparently, more did more then that, giving her a safe travel goodbye, and told her you'll miss her terribly while she blew kisses at you as she left. Months later, you were sweeping in your shop when a short angry female pig kicked down our door.
(Zhu Bajie) YOU DEFILED MY CUTE LITTLE NIECE YOU TEA SCENTED LITTLE SH*T!!!!!š¤¬š¤¬š¤¬š¤¬
You Jumped in terror of the sudden noise and looked over to see the destined one with a rather large belly bump, ohhhhhhhhhh now you know why Ms Bajie is upset. Though you are way to happyto be afraid as you ran over and kissed the destined one. Just hope Bajie calms down or she'll breaks her rake over your ass.

Hey!!! I just got the most amazing idea ever!! (probably š¤) I know that Franco had just lose his grandfather and he had to do FP. And basically everyone (the media & paparazzi just decide to hustle him despite him clearly not wanting to talk or do anything for them. Which is why he wears headphones and cap). So this is more of James with a wife reader. She is practically comforted and was with him since she always does that to everyone. Franco was just so young and she wanted to cocoon him in her warmth. From having bad weather to that awful FP which he crashed and later Alex did the samešš Everyone especially the mechanics had to double their work because race starts in like 3 hours after quali. And how can they fix two cars in just that shirt period of time??? Being able to fix one was a miracle, but fixing two? They need to call everyone at the factory it seemsš®āšØš®āšØ And then Alex not starting the race and Franco struggle in the rain because Williams didn't want to put wet tyres and then later crashed making the stewards flagging the race as red. You know, just a shitty day at the office. Williams out of the race:(( Everyone frustrated, tension arises, more work to do with how the race turns out to be. James admired her about that. Keeping calm, composure and bringing in warmth to everyone at the paddock (maybe interactions with drivers). This is the longest I've ever sent you, so it's up to you how it goes. I trust you. Can be anything you want. Fluff or angst or suggestive. Can be one shot or series. Anything. Just a whole lot of thank you for everything you've ever done for me!!! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø Tag me later!! If you have any questions, just ask me!! I'll be happy to help. Thanks!!! :))
Rain, Resolve, and Resilience
word count. 1.2k
Pairing: James Vowles x reader
AN: Thank you so much for your application i really need that.
______________________________________________________________
The Williams paddock was a storm of activity that mirrored the turbulent clouds overhead. Rain battered the track, but it was nothing compared to the emotional storm inside. Franco, one of the teamās youngest drivers, had only recently lost his grandfather, the man who had nurtured his passion for racing from the start. Now, Franco was expected to push through that grief and focus on practice, even as his heart was heavy. The cameras followed his every step, journalists crowding in with pointed questions, ignoring the lines of grief etched into his face. He pulled his cap down low, headphones covering his ears in an attempt to escape, but it was all too much.
Y/n, the beloved wife of team principal James Vowles, saw it all unfold from the edge of the garage. She had spent countless hours at James's side, becoming a quiet pillar for the team in a way only she could. Mechanics and engineers knew they could go to her if the pressure became too much; her presence alone had a grounding, calming effect on everyone. Today, seeing Franco, barely more than a boy, desperately trying to hold himself together as he faced the cameras alone, broke her heart.
She moved toward him gently, slipping past the reporters who still tried to shout questions his way, and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. āFranco,ā she said, her voice calm, almost a whisper. āYou donāt have to go through this alone. Iām here.ā
Francoās shoulders relaxed ever so slightly. He managed a grateful smile, his voice barely audible when he replied, āThank you, Y/n.ā He didnāt say more, but she could see the relief in his eyes. Knowing he wasnāt alone in that moment meant everything.
The rain was relentless, and as the team prepared for the practice session, the paddock was tense. Y/n stayed close, keeping an eye on Franco as he prepared to take to the track. She felt protective, wanting to shield him from all the hurt and stress he was carrying. With a deep breath, he climbed into the car, and she watched, fingers crossed, hoping he could find some solace in the race. But as the rain poured harder, the slick track proved unforgiving. Francoās car spun out on a turn, and he crashed, the impact sending a chill through the paddock. Minutes later, Alex followed, a sickening repeat that left the team reeling.
The Williams garage erupted into controlled chaos. With less than three hours to go before qualifying, both cars were in dire need of repair. Mechanics dashed back and forth, voices rising as they shared updates over radios and called for parts. It felt like an impossible task; fixing one car was a miracle on its own, but two? Every hand was needed, and the tension among the crew was palpable.
In the midst of it all, Y/n was a steady, calm presence, moving through the garage like a breath of fresh air. She approached a young mechanic, shoulders slumped as he stared down at a particularly stubborn part. He rubbed his forehead in frustration, looking close to defeat.
āTake a second,ā Y/n said softly, her hand resting gently on his shoulder. āYouāre doing amazing. Weāll get there, piece by piece.ā
The mechanic glanced at her, finding comfort in her reassuring smile. āThanks, Y/n,ā he murmured, his spirits lifting. She continued to move through the garage, offering words of encouragement to others, giving each team member the strength to push on.
James glanced over at his wife between giving orders, his admiration shining in his eyes. She had a gift, a way of making people feel seen and valued, even when everything felt impossible. Heād often find her in these moments, quietly lifting the spirits of those around her, giving them strength without ever drawing attention to herself. She was the backbone of the team in ways that only he could see.
Back in a quieter corner of the garage, Franco sat alone, hands in his hair as he replayed the crash in his mind. He looked up as Y/n approached, her presence bringing a hint of calm to the chaos within him.
āDo you want to take a little walk?ā she asked gently, nodding toward a nearby corridor away from the noise. Franco nodded, grateful for the escape, and they stepped outside into the cooler air.
As they walked, she spoke quietly, her words laced with compassion. āYou know, you donāt have to keep this all bottled up. Losing someone you loveā¦it doesnāt go away just because youāre expected to race.ā Her tone was soft, non-judgmental, offering him a safe space to express the grief heād been carrying alone.
Franco took a shaky breath, the weight of the loss settling in his chest. āI justā¦ I wish he was here to see me race,ā he admitted, his voice catching. āHe taught me everything, and nowā¦ā He trailed off, struggling to find the words.
Y/n placed a comforting hand on his back, offering him a moment of silent support. āI think heād be incredibly proud of you, Franco. Youāre out here, giving it everything despite how hard things are. That takes strength,ā she said, giving his shoulder a gentle squeeze.
When they returned to the paddock, Franco looked a bit lighter. The time away with Y/n had given him a bit of the peace he needed to keep going.
The rain returned with a vengeance on race day, and the paddock was alive with tension once more. Only Francoās car had been fully repaired, and the knowledge that Alex wouldnāt be able to start weighed heavily on the team. Despite the pressure, Y/n stayed close, her comforting presence a balm to the teamās frayed nerves.
As Franco took to the track again, Y/n stayed by the garage monitors, her hands clasped tightly as she watched him navigate the rain-soaked circuit. But the track was treacherous, and the decision not to put on wet tires soon proved costly. Francoās car began to slide, the wet track claiming another victim as he fought to regain control. Y/nās heart sank as she watched him crash once more, the red flags raised as the race was halted.
The team was devastated. The loss of both cars cast a shadow over the weekend, leaving everyone drained and disheartened. In the paddock, frustration was written across every face, the team grappling with the weight of another painful blow. For many, the temptation to give up felt stronger than ever.
But Y/n, ever the steady presence, moved through the crowd, her calm energy pulling everyone back to center. She listened as mechanics vented their frustrations, offering a word of comfort or a quiet hug to those who needed it most. For the younger team members, she was a constant, a familiar warmth that reminded them they werenāt alone in their struggles.
When James finally made his way over, exhaustion etched into every line of his face, he found Y/n beside Franco once more. The young driver looked up at her, his gratitude clear even in his exhaustion. James watched, his admiration for his wife growing with each passing moment. She was the heart of the Williams family, the one who kept them all grounded when the pressures of racing felt too much to bear.
Y/n looked up at James, catching his gaze with a soft smile that seemed to ease his worries. āWeāll get through this,ā she said, as much a promise as a reassurance.

My completely biased review and opinion about companions in Veilguard (major spoilers of course)
(Side noteĀ : english is not my first langage, I hope I can express myself clearly enough for you all to understand my points)
- Neve
I like Neve, sheās cool. I loved the detail of the noise her metal leg makes when she walks.
Her questline was however a bit bland. We had better portrayals of power hungry blood mages in previous games and Aelia wasnāt that good an antagonist. She lacks charisma and isnāt seen much before the last quest so you donāt really care about her. It could have been more dramatic, like if we had to fight people of Minrathos being controlled, idk. Also not much about slavery.
I get that Bioware tried to make Neveās quest like detective work, searching for clues and stuff, but for me it wasnāt that exciting, and Venatori are the mobs I like the least, I donāt like the crystals you have to break in order mechanics and stuff.
I chose to make her the hero of Minrathos and it was satisfying.
- Harding
I canāt find it in myself to call her Lace damn it XD
Of course I was happy to see Harding again after InquisitionĀ ! She is a ray of Ferelden sunshine. I really enjoyed her questline with the TitansĀ ; it was mysterious and you really felt the danger in the deep roads, and the potential threat of her newly acquiered magic. I liked the giant oracle and the design of the lyrium caves. It was a nice throwback to the first games.
The end scene of her quest was nicely done, with Rook trying to reach her while the whole cave was collapsing and then a group hug.
I chose the path of compassion.
- Lucanis
His accent was more funny to me than endearing (as is his signature Ā«Ā MierdaĀ Ā») and I was surprised to find that he was soft instead of suave. I didnāt save Treviso so I feel like I missed a lot of his quest (and the decision at the end) and in the end he was OK but not that interesting to me.
There was also the problem of IllarioĀ ; the second he was introduced I smelled the family treason nd so there was no suspense to this quest. It felt like a bad telenovella.
I like that Zara had a literal blood bath in the quest of the same name. It was a cool fight.
I didnāt bring him out much but I enjoyed that he ended up with Neve.
- Bellara
Bellara is adorable. I liked her quirkiness but her dialogues were sometimes terrible. When she talked I felt like she kept repeating the same things phrased differently and sometimes I felt the itch to skip (I usually never skip dialog!).
I had high hopes for her questline because of Anaris and finding that her brother wasnāt dead, but it all flopped in the end when Cyrian got killed by being sent flying away and Anaris didnāt turn out that scary. It felt stupide that Cyrian was not dead and then really deadā¦
I chose to keep the Archive but that choice felt like the less impactful of all the companion choices.
- Davrin
I didnāt expect Davrin to be so brashĀ ! I enjoyed his banter a lot and the growth of his relationship with Assan. That griffin is an absolute cutieĀ !
His quests were cute for the Arlathan ones and impactful for the one with the Gloom Howler. I enjoyed Isseyaās story and saving the griffins.
I still felt Davrin to be a little too Ā«Ā jockĀ Ā» coded, but his banter with Emmrich and Manfred was perfectĀ ! I enjoyed seeing the wardens again (Antoine and Evka <3) and am glad he was a true Warden this one.
I chose to release the griffin in Arlathan because my Rook was an elven veil jumper.
- Taash
In real life, Taash is the kind of person I would have trouble connecting with. Theyāre obtuse and a bit rude. I felt like I was intruding during the parts with her mother (it is probably the goal of those moments but it made me uneasy). I wanted to be supportive so I was but I didnāt feel like my Rook and them ended up great friends. The identity crisis wasnāt handled that well I think, but it wasnāt as bad as people make it out to be and maybe Iāll get hate for that but they come out at first more Trans than non binary given their problem is being misgendered as a girl mostlyĀ or expected to do girly things? They even say it feels right to be called a man I thinkĀ I remember? (but I respect whatever pronouns she chose in the end)
I really enjoyed the dragon hunt quests however and their last quest was cool too. Their motherās death was a sacrifice that made sense and it pained me.
Their romance with Harding was cute (mostly because of Hardingās reactions and that height differenceĀ XD)
I chose to push them towards embracing the Rivein life, even if I think they could have made peace with bothĀ ?
- Emmrich
Of course my favourite. And not only because he is the handsome older man who swept my Rook off her feet.
To give us a scholar necromancer that was the antithesis of the clichĆ©Ā : a man poised but a tad insecure, nerdy, gentle, kind, a bit posh, extremly elegant and whose favourite colour is lilacĀ ! GeniusĀ !
The Necropolis had such a distinct ambiance that every quest there felt special, with amazing details and wonders of finding a wisp, a spirit or hearing a deadās last words.
To me his personnal quests are the ones with the best handled rythm. The first one in the peace and quiet of the beautiful garden sets the toneĀ : serious but poetic, sad but hopeful, and dares to tackle very real and grave subjects. Death and regret but also life and love are perfectly handled in his story and brought me lots and lots of feels.
There is a great antagonist whose motives are simple but dangerousĀ ; a friend turned rival, similar but so different from dear Emmrich. Johanna is simply iconic (her hand gosh and the fact that you keep her skull in the end, brillant). The fights are well balanced, the cutscenes and dialogues perfect for immersion. And donāt get me started on Manfredā¦ I love this little guy to bits.
I chose to revive Manfred and for Emmrich and Rook to live the rest of his mortality together. In Undying Love

Something I'm thinking with the whole Alfon just, leaving Link, thing. Is what if Link held onto hope that maybe he'd come back one day?
What if when he was sailing back home, he was hoping he'd get home and his Uncle would open the door, greet him with a smile and an apology for being gone for so long?
What if when he wakes up home at the beginning of ALBW, not knowing how he got there, he rememberes being a kid who fell asleep somewhere and then woke up in bed, but of course that's not what happened, you know?
And I've seen a lot of fics where when Ravio's in Legend's home in LU he wasn't supposed to be there? He made it there while Legend was home. What if Legend brings the chain to his house to find there's someone living there, and he has one last hope that maybe, maybe finally his Uncle came back after all?
(I'm not crying you are)
Honestly, yeah.
I'm working on a fic for it (it's technically done but also REALLY not), but I've had in my head for a good while here that Legend's Uncle left somewhere between the end of ALTTP and the beginning of the Oracle games. I hinted at it in one of my fics (can't remember what it's called or if I even posted it to Ao3, but it was a Twilight & Legend centric one), but I think that Uncle Aflon used to take Legend to spend the summer with his grandparents every year, and then the summer after ALTTP he just never came back for him. Little Legend waited around for him for weeks, but then the Oracle games happened, and then LA, so he's thought all this time that his Uncle was just running late. Only, when he comes back after LA, after being stranded at sea for who knows how long, heartbroken and desperately looking forwards to a hug from his uncle, he comes back to find the house hasn't been touched since he left it that one summer. It's got damage, it's full of dust, and there's no sign of his uncle at all.
And so Legend, still recovering from the lightning strike, from being at sea without supplies, from fighting monsters on Koholint, has to rebuild himself a home in the remains of his childhood, with no clue where his uncle is, but hoping that maybe his uncle went looking for him? Maybe when Legend wasn't on the farm with his grandparents, when Uncle came to pick him up, he went looking to find him.
But Aflon never comes back to the house and Legend just sort of accepts that he was never coming back, that maybe he never planned to come get him at the end of that summer, that maybe he really couldn't tolerate the fact that his nephew was now a hero, isn't that innocent child he was before his Uncle died.
But yeah, there's that bit of hope when, during LU, he comes home to see the house being taken care of, lived in, and maybe, just maybe! Except it's Ravio, and he's glad to see Ravio, but yes, it stings so much that not only has Uncle never come back, but he also never even bothered to say goodbye.
I like to think Legend's haunted, just a bit, with thoughts of what happened to his uncle, and it definitely sours his interactions with adult men of any kind, but especially people who remind him of Aflon, like Twilight. I think that's why he panicked so badly when Twilight got hit by the shadow, because not only has he seen his own uncle die from a similar blow, but he's sort of been left hanging all this time without closure about the man and maybe sometimes he projects just a bit when around the rancher.
Anyways, yes I'm crying, hope you are too! Have a great day!

Hello! I hope youāre doing good! Iām not sure if this has been done yet, but I got an idea for a fluff (possibly a pinch of angst?) scenario!:
Any, all or two of the traffic light trio sillies (Mei, Red Son, MK), with an s/o GN!reader thatās an experienced healer who takes care of them after a tough battle against a monster of your choosing. Maybe they have a heartfelt conversation afterwards, or during the process of patching them up, about getting themselves in danger for the sake of saving the world? š
Been thinking a lot about this since s5 lmao. Havenāt fully recovered yet š
šš Healing a Trio āšš Traffic Light Trio x GN Healer!Reader HCs š„ā¤ļø
Genres: Fluff || they/them pronouns for reader || No warnings needed
āĖ.āā¾āāŗāā§. Żā ā¹ . ŻĖ . ŻāĖļ½”āąØššš„ą§āĖļ½”āā©āĖ.āā¾āāŗāā§ . ŻĖ
- It had been a fight with a huge hawk demon, one that MK was pretty confident he could take, especially cause Mei could use her bike to move closer to the threat. Red Son was roped in by circumstance, begrudgingly working with the heroes to defeat the threat. The attack was a surprise, so there wasn't much the Trio was prepared to do. Once it finally ended, they were sufficiently scratched, scuffed, battered, and bruised
- The three had come to you a little hesitantly. They didn't like feeling like they were bothering you, especially because these always ended in some deep conversations about the nature of self-sacrafice and priorities. When you'd opened your door to the three and allowed them in without many questions, they filed in, MK and Mei attempting lighthearted jokes right off the bat to diffuse tension
- MK, for as much as he gets hurt, sucks at getting patched up. He hisses and writhes if the topical medicine stings, yelping and whining at the unpleasant sensations. He's a very dramatic patient, but a very talkative one as well
- He tells you about the fight, reassuring you that he already remembers the conversations you'd both had before about these things. He's not exactly happy having to sit still while getting bandaids and bandages applied, but he's obviously still proud of his victory
- He's more quiet when you're closer, focusing on the feeling of your hands on his skin, the gentle and reliable touch providing a sense of safety and warmth. He feels his heart swell seeing the determined expression you have while working, and little flutters when you occasionally banter back. This routine between you was familiar, it was comforting. He felt safe under your care
- Mei, meanwhile, is also a pretty passionate speaker, but much less of a whiner than MK. Her problems are mostly just squirming from being hyperactive and wound up on adrenaline, frequently trying to hop off of your workbench to demonstrate a move
- Your gentle chastising with Mei is unique, specifically taking time to address how she feels being on the sideline of missions these days, and having to hold things together for MK most of the time. She feels like she can have that full honesty with you, your complete confidentiality and understanding helping to hold her together
- She flirts with you more openly than the other two. Any time you're close enough, she points out something about your face to compliment. She offers to help you do small things, asking questions about your job and what kinda stuff you see outside of the Monkey Crew
- Red Son, like the others, is a talker. His ramblings are closer to ranting and raving, and outside of waving his arms or doing grand dramatic gestures, he's more still than the other two
- Conversations about his family are what come up most often, when he isn't bragging about his villainy or latest attacks on the town. More recently he's been talking a lot about working as a food vendor. It's nice to see him happy about something that doesn't come from malicious intent
- He allows himself to show past his anger and be more vulnerable with you. He's a hint softer, a little more willing to be honest and open with you. He loves your willingness to do this for them, and he tells you frequently how much he admires you and your work
- The three usually stick around for a few hours after each appointment, talking with you and telling you about everything you my have missed in their lives. They treasure their individual time with you, and Mei and MK especially try to hype you up all the time to show their thanks
- They invite you out every once in a while to have some hangouts without medicine or injury in the picture. They introduce you as a vital member of the team to others and get protective of you during battles

As usual I read your tags always and so you said Apollo did not ask for resurrection of Asclepius and Hyacinthus so i just wanted to share this. About Asclepius death I read it on theoi.com, that earlier authors don't make him resurrect as a god but that's a later development mentioned only by Roman authors like Cicero, Hyginus and Ovid. But still Apollo has a role in Ovid's version
Ovid, Fasti 6. 735 ff (trans.Boyle) (Roman poetry C1st B.C. to C1st A.D.) : Clymenus [Haides] and Clotho resent the threads of life respun and death's royal rights diminished. Jove [Zeus] feared the precedent and aimed his thunderbolt at the man who employed excessive art. Phoebus [Apollon], you whined. He is a god; smile at your father, who, for your sake, undoes his prohibitions [i.e. when he obtains immortality for Asklepios].
So here it is actually because of Apollo the decision was taken to resurrect him as god. And with Hyacinthus, I don't think I've read about Artemis playing the primary role. I know in Sparta there was a picture of Artemis, Athena and Aphrodite carrying Hyacinthus and his sister to heaven.
This is not on theoi.com but I saw on Tumblr it's from Dionysiaca by Nonnus
Second, my lord Oiagros wove a winding lay, as the father of Orpheus who has the Muse his boon companion. Only a couple of verses he sang, a ditty of Phoibos, clearspoken in few words after some Amyclaian style: Apollo brought to life again his longhaired Hyacinthos: Staphylos will be made to live for aye by Dionysos.
So since he is singing inspired by amyclean stories it probably means in that place it was believed Apollo was the one to bring back his lover to life.
Apollo as god of order was very important so i think it shows how special these people (and admetus too) were to him that he decided to go against the order for them š„ŗ
ANON!! Shakes you like a bottle of ramune!! BELOVED ANON!!!!! I'm littering your face with kisses, I'm anointing you with olive oil and honey - you absolutely made my night with this because, not only did I get the pure serotonin shot of having someone interact with my tags (yippee, wahoo!!) I also got to have that wonderful feeling of "oh wow, have I misunderstood something that was integral to my understanding of this myth/figure this whole time or is this a case of interpretational differences?" which is imo vital for my aims and interests as someone who enjoys mythological content and literature.
I'll preface my response with this: Hyacinthus is by far the hardest of these to get accounts for because his revival itself, as you very astutely point out, is generally accounted for in painting/ritual format which muddies the waters on who interceded for what. I wasn't actually familiar with that passage from the Argonautica - and certainly didn't remember it so thank you very much for bringing it to my attention!
That said, what I've come to understand, both about Hyacinthus and about Asclepius is that in the accounts of their deaths, Apollo's position is startlingly clear.
For Hyacinthus, it is established time and again that Apollo would have sacrificed everything for him - his status, his power, his very own immortality and divinity. Ovid writes that Apollo would have installed him as a god if only he had the time:
(Ovid. Metamorphoses. Book X. trans. Johnston)
Many other writers too speak of how Apollo abandoned his lyre and his seat at Delphi to spend his days with Hyacinthus, but they also all agree that when it came to his death - he was powerless. Ovid gives that graphic account of Apollo's desperation as he tries all his healing arts to save him to no avail:
(Ovid, Metamorphoses Book X. Apollo me boy, methinks him dead. trans Johnston)
Bion, in one of his fragments, writes that Apollo was "dumb" upon seeing Hyacinthus' agony:
(Bion, The Bucolic Poets. Fragment XI. trans Edmonds)
Even Nonnus in the Dionysiaca speaks constantly of Apollo's helplessness in the face of Hyacinthus' fate where he writes that the god still shivers if a westward wind blows upon an iris:
and whenĀ ZephyrosĀ breathed through the flowery garden,Ā ApolloĀ turned a quick eye upon his young darling, his yearning never satisfied; if he saw the plant beaten by the breezes, he remembered the quoit, and trembled for fear the wind, so jealous once about the boy, might hate him even in a leaf...
(Nonnus, Dionysiaca, Book 3. trans Rouse)
And the point here is just that - Apollo, at least as far as I've read, cannot avert someone's death. He simply can't. Once they're already dead - once Fate has cut their string - all Apollo's power is gone and he can do nothing no matter how much he wants to. And this is, as far as I know, supported with the accounts of Asclepius as well!
Since you specifically brought up Ovid's account, I'll also stick only to Ovid's account but in Metamorphoses when we get Ovid's version of Coronis' demise, he writes that Apollo intensely and immediately regrets slaughtering Coronis. He regrets it so intensely that he, like he does with Hyacinthus, does his best to resuscitate her:
(Ovid, Metamorphoses Book Two. Apollo's regret)
And like Hyacinthus, when it becomes clear that what has happened cannot be undone, Apollo wails:
(Ovid, Metamorphoses Book Two. Apollo wept.)
Unlike his mother, Asclepius in her womb had not yet died and so, with the last of Apollo's strength, he does manage, at least, to save him.
(Ovid, Metamorphoses Book Two. Apollo puts the 'tearing out' in Asclepius.)
But it goes further than even that because Ocyrhoe, Chiron's daughter, a prophetess who unduly gained the ability to directly proclaim the secrets of the Fates, upon seeing the baby Asclepius, immediately prophesies his glory, his inevitable death and then his fated ascension:
(Ovid. Metamorphoses, Book Two. Ocyrhoe's prophecy. trans Johnston)
Before she too succumbs to her hubris and is transformed by the Fates into a horse so she can no longer speak secrets that aren't hers to share.
These things ultimately are important because it establishes two very important things: 1) Apollo can't do anything in the face of the ultimate Fate of mortals, which is, of course, death and 2) even when Apollo is Actively Devastated, regretful, yearning, mournful, guilty or some unholy combination of all of the above, when someone is dead, he accepts that they are gone. Even if he is devastated by it, even if he'll cry all the rest of his days about it - if they're dead? Apollo lets them go. In Fasti, when Zeus brings Asclepius back, he does not say Apollo asked him to - Zeus, or well, in this case Jove, brings Asclepius back because he wants Apollo to stop being mad at him.
(Ovid, Fasti VI. Apollo please come home your father misses you. trans. A.S Kline)
Even Boyle's translation which you used above in your findings hints that Zeus made Asclepius a god because he wanted Apollo to stop grieving. (i.e 'smile at your father', 'for your sake [he] undoes his prohibitions')
And like, Apollo was deeply upset by Asclepius' death - apart from killing the Cyclops in anger, in book 4 of the Argonautica, Apollonius writes that the Celts believe the stream of Eridanus to be the tears Apollo shed over the death of Asclepius when he left for Hyperborea after being chastised by Zeus for killing his Cyclops:
But the Celts have attached this story to them, that these are the tears of Leto's son, Apollo, that are borne along by the eddies, the countless tears that he shed aforetime when he came to the sacred race of the Hyperboreans and left shining heaven at the chiding of his father, being in wrath concerning his son whom divine Coronis bare in bright Lacereia at the mouth of Amyrus.
It all paints a very clear picture to me. Apollo did not ask for either of them to be brought back. Though bringing them back certainly pleased and delighted him, they are actions of other gods who are moved by Apollo's grief and mourning and seek to mollify him. Him not asking doesn't mean he didn't want them back which I think is a very important distinction by the by, but it simply means that Apollo knows the natural order of things and, even if it hurts, he isn't going to press his luck about it.
Which, of course, brings us to Admetus. And I'm really not going to overcomplicate this, Admetus is different because, very vitally, Admetus is not dead. Apollo can't do a thing once Fate has been carried out and Death has claimed a mortal but you know what he absolutely can do? Bargain like hell with the Fates before that point of inevitability. And that's what he does, ultimately for Admetus and Alcestis. He sought to prolong Admetus' life, not revive him from death or absolve him from death altogether and even after getting the Fates drunk, he's still only able to organise a sacrifice - a life for a life - something completely contingent on whether some other mortal would be willing to die in Admetus' place and not at all controllable by Apollo's own power.
All of these things, I think come back to that point you made - that Apollo's place as a god of order is very important and therefore these people are very special to him if it means he's willing to go against that order but, I also wish to challenge that opinion if you'd let me. Apollo's place as a god of order is very important and therefore, I would argue, that it is even more important that it is shown that he does not break the divine order, especially for the people that mean the most to him. The original context of my comments which started this conversation were on this lovely, lovely post by @hyacinthusmemorial which contemplated upon Asclepius from the perspective of an Emergency Medical personnel and included, in their tags, the very poignant lines "there's something about Apollo letting go when Asclepius couldn't that eats my heart away" and "you do what you can, you do your best, but you don't ever reach too far" and I think that's perfectly embodied with the Apollo-Asclepius dichotomy. Apollo grieves. He wails, he cries, he does his best each and every time to save that which is precious to him but he does not curse their nature, he does not resent that they are human and ultimately, he accepts that that which is mortal must inevitably die. There is nothing that so saliently proves that those who uphold rules are also their most staunch followers - if Apollo wants to delight in his place as Fate's mouthpiece, he cannot undo Fate. And, if even the god of healing and order himself cannot undo death, what right does Asclepius, mortal as he is, talented as he is, have to disrespect it?
The beauty of these stories isn't that Apollo loved them enough to bring them back. The beauty is that Apollo loved them enough to let them go.
#this is such a long ass post oh my god#ginger answers asks#This totally got away from me but I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT THIS AAAA#Anon beloved anon I hope you don't take this as me shutting you down or anything because that really isn't what I'm trying to do#I'm definitely going to dig more into the exactness of 'who petitioned for Hyacinthus to be revived actually?"#I always stuck to the belief that it was Artemis because of the depictions of his revival + his procession is usually devoid of Apollo#I know some renaissance paintings have him and Apollo reuniting but that's usually In The Heavens y'know#I genuinely couldn't think of any accounts that have Apollo Asking for anyone to be revived#Apollo does intercede sometimes but that's usually for immortals like Prometheus#Or even when he's left to preside over Zagreus' revival and repair in orphic tradition#Concerning Asclepius there's like a ton to talk about tbh#There's the fact that in some writings (in quite a lot actually) the reason Asclepius was killed wasn't necessarily that he brought someone#back - it was that he accepted money for it#Pindar wrote about it and Plato talks about how if Asclepius really did accept gold for a miracle then he was never a son of Apollo#It's a whole thing really#I think it's very important that it's Asclepius in his mortal folly that tests the boundaries of life and death tbh#The romanticisation of going to any length to bring back a loved one is nice and all#But sometimes the kindest and most lovely thing you can do for someone is to accept it#Just accept that they're gone - accept that there was nothing that could be done and even if the grief is heavy - keep living#Maybe we won't all get our lost loves back#But there are definitely always more people worth loving if you just live long enough to find them#apollo#asclepius#zeus#admetus#greek mythology#ovid#oh my god so much ovid#hyacinthus#coronis

I know the ending was bleak and tragic but I find it hard to believe that the crew's family would not be outraged with the company and go off to search for them on their own or at the very least hire a PI/search & rescue to find them. It definitely wouldn't take 20 years for them all to be found. Months at best. However, they all likely still would've been found dead because they didn't have enough supplies to last until they were all found.
At the very least I just can't fathom them all floating through space rotting away and NO ONE actually looks for them. No way. Specifically Daisuke and Swansea's family.
Like I think about this so much. How much would it cost? What would the company say to cover their ass? (We all know how corporations are. Especially this one.) Would they not even acknowledge any concern? How much hush money would they attempt to offer? How would the families cause enough of an uproar for the company to take action? What lies would the company spread before finally accepting that they're at fault? How long of a battle would the families put up with before taking matters into their own hands? Would this cause there to finally be proper work regulations? Not specifically for a crew since the Tulpar was the last, but in general for any job with humans at the helm.
I don't even wanna think about if any of the family finally finds the ship and goes on board. Daisuke's parents would be devastated and guilty. Swansea's kids would be outraged, seeing the bullet hole in their father's head. You even have to wonder about Curly and Anya's family too. I don't think they'd be allowed on the ship just simply for the fact that the investigator/S&R would know that the crew would likely not be in a good state when found. So that puts my mind somewhat at ease. None of their families has to immediately see that whole scene. But they would have to identify the bodies, and that's what hurts me.
#More musings#This game haunts me lmao#Like I think about this shit so much it lives rent free in my head fr fr#Bc we see this shit in real life#Companies at fault for wrongful deaths#And Pony Express is at fault. Make no mistake.#Extensive psych evals should've been done long before they boarded the ship#Proper regulations too#There was no reason to tell Curly that news way before they landed. He is at fault partially but...#I'm constantly thinking of their families#I think about how my family reacts if someone is missing or got hurt or how they died#There is just no freaking way the Tulpar would only be found 20 years later or not at all. No way.#Whether Curly would live after being found is...idk. There'd be a lot of blood loss and possible infections to worry about.#Would he even want to live like that? Traumatized as hell?#I like to think that because of his injuries it would be clear he didn't cause the incident but who knows#Maybe forensics and investigation is way better in the future lol#I'm being too hopeful maybe.#I didn't mention Jimmy's family because they could be one of two ways- they could be assholes like him or-#They enabled him worse than Curly ever did. And since I've met men like Jimmy his parents probably suck or at least one sucked#And the other was an enabler. Either way...I don't wanna talk about his parents. It's rare that they're good nice people.#Or they could just not be around. Which is another explanation. We don't know for sure.#But I guarantee they're enablers and his father probably acts just as bad as he does if not worse.#Okay I'm done now lmao. Poor tags.#Mouthwashing#Mouthwashing Daisuke#Mouthwashing Swansea#Mouthwashing Anya#Mouthwashing Curly#Personal#Vent

Hrmm... Revising my game and I feel like there's still sooo much writing left to do, for something that probably won't even amount to much, so.. I do want to narrow my focus more (especially given my health problems seeming to get worse/less energy the past few years), but I'm not sure how would be best to...
I currently have 5 characters as the Main ones with full planned questlines and such, with each character having 6 quests you can do for them. But I haven't really started the writing for the 5th main character. So then I was thinking, if I were going to write 6 full quests worth of content anyway... is it better to allocate that time on just doing a Complete 6 Quests for ONE single character, OR would it be better to do something like.. choose THREE side characters and do 2 quests for each of them? So that people have a wider variety to interact with and sort of sample around (of course with the idea that, once the first version of the game is released, IF people actually care about it enough to make it worth the effort, I would then add additional content to complete those 3 characters stories as well)
-
SO... If you were playing an interactive fiction sort of game centered around talking to & doing quests for a cast of characters (like there's no larger plot, more it's just about interacting with people, every character kind of has a self contained story, the focus is just learning about them and the world and exploring the area) --- Which would you rather have?
(and of course it would be stated up front which characters have only partial questlines, so people don't expect them to have full quests like the others and then get disappointed, or etc. etc.)
Basically, is it better to just focus in specifically on having one fully complete questline? Or for there to be a few stories that are not complete yet, but have more initial options available?
#I guess I just feel weird about investing too much into characters if possibly nobody will like them. so the idea of being able to sample#around a wider variety opens up the option of like 'hey even if neither of these 4 are your favorite - you have 3 other options soon too!'#or whatever. BUT I also am very anti-the trend of releasing half finished games or shit like that where people preorder and then#the game sucks on actual release and isn't fully playable or good until 5 updates later#HOWEVER.. those are giant companies with hundreds of employees and millions in funding. I feel like it's different for someone#if they're just like ''hey I am getting zero money for this and doing it entirely on my own in my free time and before I do like 50+ hours#of work on top of the 100+ hours of work that I already did - I would like maybe to at least see some proof#people are interested in this - so I'm releasing the game with like a small amount of the originally intended content removed#that I still have planned out and hope to add later and the game is still entirely done and completely functional#except for just a few quests I might add later.. sorry'' etc. etc. ??? like I think that's different. but maybe some people dont see#it that way and would still be like 'grrr.. how dare there be unfinished options..>:V" idk#And the nature of the quests is such that it's not weird to have it be partial like.. again.there's no major plot. it's not like the quests#are leading up to some dramatic thing and having them half done would make it feel like a cliffhanger. It's meant to be very casual just#chilling and doing little tasks and such. And last thing to clarify I guess - by 'side character' I don't mean taking some unimportant bac#ground character and forcing them to have quests. I mean like.. originally the game had 8 full characters and I thought that was#too much so I cut it down to 5. So I still had everything planned for all the side characters too. Id' just be like.. re-giving them#quests and focuses that were already planned from the beginning but that I got rid of.. former main characters banished to the side lol..#ANYWAY... hrmm... hard to decide... It's just so niche I think. I feel more and more like I should just get it to a 'proof#of concept' state and get it out there to interest check rather than invest in it soooo much for nothing. Because I really do not have the#tastes other people do or interact with games or have interest in things in the same way. A lot of the stuff that I love (slow. character#focused things with basicaly no action or plot where its' just about getting to explore a world and learn about#people in a casual low stakes setting but ALSO not romance) I think people find very boring so... lol...#This year as I try to pick the project back up again after abandoning it for like 3 years I keep looking at stuff and going.. ough...#yeah... cut this maybe.. I should cut that too.. I should make them a side character.. remove this.. blah blah..#Though I did ADD a journal and inventory system and other things that like People Expect Games To Have so.. maybe#that will count for something.. hey..you can collect items.. it's not just 'talking to elves for 600 hours simulator'.. are you#entertained yet? lol.... When I was making my other tiny game for that pet website and I gave it to the play testers and someone was like#''it should have achievements so I feel I'm working towards something concrete'' I was literally so blindsided like..??... people WANT that#in games..? is the goal not simply to wander aimlessly &fixate on world/character lore& make your own silly pointless personal goals? I did#do them though because it IS fun to make up little achievement names and such but.. i fear i am out of touch so bad lol..
