Hopefully this "Zack feels guilty over accepting a free smoothie as a Ranger" plot ends up better than Dino Fury's take on it, which was "Aiyon you selfish piece of shit how dare you take up the ice cream vendor's offer of free ice cream"
#Jason being like 'haha i'm sure it's fine i was just joking around' gives me hope but still.#that Dino Fury ep was so bad in how over the top harsh it was towards Aiyon like#i get the moral was 'don't do nice things in order to get rewards' but THE ICE CREAM GUY OFFERED IT FIRST#text

↳ EVENT 06. M!Kylar (Incest)
— ✧ warnings: Incest, Bath Sex, Yandere, Creampie, Cockwarming, Stockholm Syndrome, Riding, Breeding — ✧ word count: 2,509
— ✧ A/N: reposting from my old account since i was asked to! formatting might be off, but it's still readable.
After a long, exhausting, and humiliating day of school (or as Kylar likes to affectionately call it, imprisonment), there is simply nothing better to cap the awful experience off than to indulge in some alone time with his favourite little sister. His only little sister, the light of his life, the sole joy he experiences in this shitty world and his shitty life. To say that he relies on you for all of his comfort and happiness would be an understatement— he saps it. Leeching off of you from the moment he enters home, calling out for your attention before the front door is even closed. And the fact that you're none the wiser only encourages him to use you some more, forever pushing you to your limits to hopefully break you in as his own.
And tonight is no special exception. Away from prying eyes, in the safety of four thin walls, he begs for your affections once again. Dragging you into his room to spend the night together, just like always. And it's comforting to know that even after all the bullshit bullying he has to endure during the day, he can always count on his precious little sister to make it all worthwhile. God, he'd go through near death beatings daily if it meant he got to wrap his arms around you at the end of it all, nice and snug and soft, pretty little sister in his arms for him to coddle and coo at. Because he loves you so much, he's willing to endure whatever it takes to keep you out of harms way; so much so that he willingly puts himself into dangerous situations just to make sure you don't need to leave your shared home for any reason.
The world doesn't deserve your kindness. The town is unworthy of your cuteness, undeserving of your sweetness. Or; perhaps he's just being a selfish big brother, right? Keeping you all to himself, locked away in his tower for self serving reasons.
Like to be the only one to hear your barely audible little whimpers, how soft and pretty you sound right now, especially when his knuckles brush against your wet cheek and you shiver into him. Fuck, feels so good, doesn't it? He knows he does, playfully biting down on his bottom lip— unchecked confidence flowing through him now that he's only with you. It's funny, actually, how no one outside these four walls would assume just how cocky he can get, reserving that side of himself just for you. It's only fair, he thinks. He gets to see sides of you that no one else does, and in return, you receive authority over every aspect of your life, all in an effort to keep you safe. An innocent enough want, though he's well aware of just how degenerate he can get. How far he can twist relative honesty.
It's the least he could do for you, considering all you've got to do is exist and he's happy. Do you even know the things he goes through for you? How much trouble it is to actually keep you healthy and secure? It's like keeping a pet, only more rewarding when you take hold of his hand, little fingers locking with his own before dipping them back under the water together.
So cute! You're so fucking cute it pains him, heart hurting at the way your silky skin rubs against his own, tits pressed snugly to his chest, secured only by the warm water surrounding him. The skin on skin contact just gets to him— it's one of his favourite ways to spend time with you. Naked, bare, ignoring the moral implications of playing with his baby sister in such a disgusting way; he plays with you in far worse ways anyway. But the connection coursing through him, from your fingertips to his own, is unmatched. Causes his cock to tremble inside of you, his eyes instinctively rolling and then squeezing shut at the tight fit inside of your cunt.
It's bath time! he'd ordered you once home, pants already tenting from the way you excitedly started running the water at the mere mention of some valued bath time with big brother.
C'mere, sit on my lap he'd encouraged you once getting in the too hot water, but a little burning isn't gonna stop him from hanging out with his baby sister, now is it?
Wanna sit on it? he'd asked you once feeling you squirming around, wiggling your baby sister butt on his fat cock like routine. It's not the first time he's impaled your angel cunt in the water, and it certainly won't be the last. A regular enough occurrence at this rate that he knows cock is what you're after when he mentions bathing— not that he's any better, looking forward to getting you wet in the bath just so he can shove his dirty big brother cock inside of you again and again— routine.
It's only natural, he thinks. Given that you're disallowed from seeing anyone else, let alone any other suitors, that you'd want to explore things like sex and orgasms with your big brother. Which is luckily all according to his plan, to seclude you enough to make you think that it's your choice to date him. Greedy cock twitching inside your pretty little hole as you idly rub a thumb up and down his held hand, allowing him to slide down the tub just a little to reposition his cock at a better angle inside of you. If he keeps you all to himself like this, leaving you no other choice but to date and fuck and kiss and marry your big brother, then he can die happy.
"What did you do today?" He mundanely asks, but it's more of a grunt than anything else. Winded by the unfairly tight squeeze of your cunt, wrapped sooooo nicely around him, God, he'd kill for that cunt, yknow?
You take a second to answer, clearly preoccupied with not shifting around too much as he feels you tense up on his cock at the sound of his voice. Pretty baby, big brother will always protect you, okay?
"The usual," you yawn, and he has half a mind to pull out of your pretty pussy to instead stuff your open maw full with cock. "Mostly waited for you to get home, Ky."
Oh, how the affectionate nickname you've taken to calling him goes straight through him, fat beads of precum staining your insides all gloopy as a proclamation of love. His pretty little stockholm sister, are you even away of the things you do to him? How the banality of it all, taking a simple bath with you, is the lewdest part. Cock pulsing against your squishy insides while your tits ride against his chest, primal need dictating him to let go of your hand in favour of placing both hands on the small of your back. A little pressure added there to really make you feel the weight of your words, and by extension, the weight of his cock.
Your reaction is immediate, a sharp little squeak that he wants to force out of you again and again— but there is joy to be had in taking things slow, too. Like how when he lifts a hand up to your soaked hair to pet at, he's privy to the view of your wet cat like stare back at him, pretty pout and all. He leans down, giving you a chaste kiss on the lips as a reward for being so cute for him. "Don't you get bored of waiting for me every day? Aren't you doing something else?" He tests you, resting his chin at the top of your head to force you into listening to how hard his heart beats for you; in time with how fast his cock pulses with need.
"I— No... Seeing big brother again is my favourite thing!" You protest, and it's difficult to remain in his calm, cool, and collected big brother composure when you're whining so prettily for him like that, a little moan at the end from the way he rolls his hips against your own in the face of your absolute devotion.
Perfect, he thinks. You're already his, so he can do whatever he wants to you, right?
And while having you cockwarm him is one of his favourite pastimes, he'd be lying if he said he could do it all night. Much to his disappointment, though he tries every single bath time to do just that, your high pitched gasps and sweet little sighs coax him into movement without fail. A gentle back and forth to begin with, moving you up and down his cock with ease more so than moving himself— you can always count on big brother, okay?
And yet, domesticity calls to him. Begs to keep the slow pace, to let you hump him mindlessly once he's kickstarted your movement. You're a good girl, you know to keep moving, yeah? A simple up and down while he twirls your wet hair, gently cupping the back of your head with one hand, the other finding home on your ass to pinch and tug on your cheek. There's not a thought to be had in that dumb little sister brain of yours, is there? And there better not be, given how hard he works to make sure that there isn't. Rock hard cock stroking your insides gently, at your own pace, a satisfied hum escaping him when you huff and puff up and down his length.
"Good answer— ah—" he rewards you with a rushed moan, wrapping his body even tighter around you to get as close as possible to his little sister, wanting more than anything to melt into you, become so connected through the leaking precum dirtying your insides that all you can think about is him— because all he can think about is you, it's only fair! Even if you've proven yourself thus far to surround your world with him, he doesn't think he'll ever be able to get enough of you. Convinced by your devotion to thrust his cock up just a little, enough to knock you off balance and further into his greedy hold. "Waiting for big brothers cock?" He urges you to continue, to fuck his perverted length faster, fuck yourself stupid on big brother, okay baby?
You let out a muffled mhm!, moaned directly against his chest, heat rising to his cheeks from how cute you can be when doing something so immoral. You actually enjoy fucking big brother? Gross, he sneers internally. Only, the fact that you take part and also relish in something as vulgar as this tugs on his heart. Has his mind reeling with affections for you, grabbing a greedy fistful of your ass to aid in your bounces up and down.
Water splashes around him, the pace of your tiny humps quickening the harsher he grabs you. To the point that he has to use both hands on your pretty body, literally picking you up and letting you drop back down on his cock with insatiable need.
"Fuck, I can't— you're too good at this." he half laughs, sinking further into the water so as to allow you enough room to properly straddle him, every bounce you make on his fat cock leaving him more than a little breathless as he struggles to keep up with your thirst. Chest tight with the sight of you indulging yourself to his cock, using him just as much as he uses you on a daily basis. Oh how he loves it, to be at the receiving end of your adoration, your warm cunt sucking him further in with ever fuck, prompting his hips to hump upwards out of sheer desperation to match your sibling fucking energy.
Greedy as he is though, his hands settle possessively on your hips. Aiding in your movements in a selfish manner, forcing you to grind your puffy clit against him every time you slam your ass back down against his lap.
More than anything he strives to make you happy. Everything, literally everything he does is for you. Guided by your smile, aided by your laughter. He loves you so much, didn't you know? It's why he's helping you fuck yourself dumb on his cock, thoughtlessly thrusting in tandem with your humps, moaning out for you just as much as you sob his name. Over and over, his favourite song.
And like the good big brother he is, he knows when you're close. Takes over the job of fucking when you grow too weak to continue, despite the water splishing over his face. He'd drown if it meant you got to cum, honestly.
Rather than state the obvious, he focuses solely on helping you get there. Cooing and tutting and staring at your scrunched up pretty expression. He'll have to give you so many kisses afterwards for allowing him the privilege to see that cute face later on. Helping you grind your hips down on him in a way that his groin rubs your clit just the way you like, preferring to keep you seated there as your nails dig into his chest for slippery stability, taking to fucking his cock as deep as possible from your stationary seated position. He's barely moving, relying on the twitches and throbs of his cock inside for stimulation. But fuck— baby sister cunt feels so good, how your insides squirm around and suck his cock off so well, pretty whines spilling for him in abundance.
He stares at your face, only so that he can watch you fall apart on his big cock. Because the cut off sob you let out, followed by a gasp of his name before your moth falls open in a silent beg is so cute, fuck, he can't stop himself from cumming too. Not when your hole wraps tighter than ever around his intrusion, bullying his way inside your cunt to shoot his load as deep as possible, aiming to breed his baby sister bitch as payment for sticking by him when no one else would. Promising a future you've yet to learn about simply because you're too cute to hold back, painting your insides sticky white to mix with the bath water when he inevitably pushes some out with deep thrusts.
Gushy little cunt, still spasming around his length when he's done filling you up. It's a good thing you're in the bath with him after all, quietly cooing to you in soft privacy to get up, let him clean you while you're here. There's no one here to tell you how wrong it is for him to not only breed your cute hole, but to also clean it up afterwards with his fingers sneakily entering to scissor around a little.
And he hopes to keep you this way. Dumb, obedient, and oblivious. It's when his favourite little sister is at her cutest.

God speaking of morally grey characters and FMA. It is SO funny how 03 managed to simultaneously make Mustang like... More evil, and also more woobified??
Like, ok, look at Mangahood Mustang right. Yeah, obviously he's a horrible person who did a fuckton of murder. He's also aiming for the presidency specifically with the goal of holding himself and other Ishvalan genocide veterans responsible for their crimes. In his post-war era, he also does his best to minimize unnecessary harm to others even when it would be easier not to (e.g. telling his men not to shoot to kill against Central's troops, coming up with a convoluted plan to fake Maria Ross' death) and is noted to go above and beyond for his subordinates. He has nuance! He's complex! He's a horrible person, yeah, but they're pretty up front about And That's Bad, and we also see what it is that makes other people support him. He doesn't get any sort of reward at the end of the series other than furthering his aforementioned political goals.
Meanwhile in 03, like... He's just outwardly a dick to everyone around him. He made Ed organize Tucker's research after the Nina incident, for fuck's sake! He never seems to do anything actually nice, he openly uses those around him for his own personal gain without doing anything for them. I don't remember them ever providing any reason as to why people should like him or what sets him apart from the rest of the military.
Except somehow, the narrative treats him like a hero. His subordinates all follow him unquestioningly for like, no discernible reason. He never faces any particular consequences for anything; He does lose an eye while fighting Pride, but this is more part of the #grimdark thing the show has going on than any sort of karma or anything, and we later see him dating Hawkeye. Dating! Hawkeye! HELLO???????
Like straight up 03 has Mustang kill Winry's parents instead of Scar and then they just use this as like... sadboy angst fuel. It's WILD. That's his motivation for wanting to become Fuhrer btw- When he killed Winry's parents he like, felt sooooo bad about it (AND APPARENTLY NOT ABOUT KILLING ALL THOSE ISHVALANS???) and tried to kill himself, but he was ~too much of a coward to do it~ or whatever, so he wants to become Fuhrer so that He Specifically will never have to follow orders he doesn't like. He just wants to be a dictator for the sake of being a dictator because they made him kill some Amestrians once and he didn't like it. Anyway did they write him like this

can you tell us more about your Krampus Eclipse? I can't find anything about him (them? idk what pronouns they use) on your blog
Had to think about this for a bit! Pronoun wise, probably would be a they/them/it/he in that order? Though as far as he's concerned most people don't encounter them long enough to really sort out what they saw past 'holy shit what was that thing???' Though I probably am gonna default to he/they since most of my other 'clips use he. LORE wise, there's sort of a 'legend' side and a 'truth' side, like with most mythical entities. Legend wise, he'd follow the basic 'takes away naughty children never to be seen again' and all the bells and whistles. A spooky holiday boogeyman intending to make children behave at threat of punishment instead of the rewards St.Nick might bring. One night of the year where danger is high, and then you're safe until it comes around again. The truth side is a bit different. TECHNICALLY he's not your average cryptid creature. A one of a kind entity more like an elemental spirit born from thousands upon thousands of human consciousness and morality, back in primal times, weaving into a monster of mortal fears, outwardly bearing features of prey while inside, underneath, a predator. A wolf in sheep's clothing, to an extent. Over millennia it's grown into the massive hulking creature it is now, feasting on those that break ancient laws that keep an ancient balance between what is just and what is emphatically wrong. Ideas that have not changed since the early days when man ran through the forests along side the wild beasts. Not putting away your toys when you're done would not get its attention. Keying your neighbors car for being an asshole, while rude, would not get its attention. Killing to protect oneself, or for food, would also not draw him near, because you can't fault a lion for killing a zebra. Killing for sport, however, would, if done in excess. The strength of ones soul, their convictions, their core, is what draws him initially. Children almost always are too new, too fresh, unripe and still learning and thus inherently innocent in his eyes. They haven't developed past the moral grey area that comes from a lack of experience, a void of empathy that must be taught and adopted into adulthood. Though only through touch can he pass his judgements. The ones that do catch his attention are usually an even split, those deemed naughty and those deemed nice. The 'nice' ones will be left alone, occasionally with a small token, though usually with nothing more than the fright his presences may cause. The 'naughty' ones, though... Well, the legend of being dragged off, the mystery of what happens to them after that is better left to the imagination. Though it isn't impossible to survive the encounter if a creatures transgressions are mild enough, just crossing the borderline where a souls path might be corrected for the better. Rare, but not impossible. Moments where this may be the case could stem from someone else's influence, misinformation, coercion, deceit. Not entirely the naughty ones own intention, though their actions are still their own. And a price must still be paid. There are souls, too, where their judgement is too borderline, walking in the grey where it hasn't teetered from one side to the other. Sometimes the encounter itself will lead to his decision, though it may leave him with confusion instead, and he will simply pass by. A rare second encounter may follow, months or even years on, when he returns to that area. Since he is one of a kind, and he has the whole world to travel.
#there's a little more rolling around in my head but I'm not sure how to actually phrase it yet?#krampus eclipse#beast eclipse#this guy

Yuma Harem: Down Came the Rain 1/7
Time to begin the third series~... I wanted to make sure to do all of the poll winners first, so that's the initial reason for spreading the love between series. :3 And now it's Rain Code's turn~...
As always, this will be an AU. Rain Code killed off... a good half of this harem. And Guillaume might as well be dead for all that she drops off the map after Chapter 3... XD So Fubuki and Kurumi are the only canon survivors. And the game ends on a pretty somber note with Yuma just leaving after regaining his memories, moving onto the next adventure. Very typical in shounen series, honestly. It's not "bad", just...
I want to fix things. (人◕ω◕) Too much death. Too much hurting the Kokohead. The Kokomelon, as some fans might affectionately call him. (人◕ω◕) And moreover, the "Yuma" we come to know "dies" as he regains his memories. Sure, it's strongly hinted that his feelings and experiences are just integrated into his original self... But we don't know the former #1 of the WDO. We know "Yuma", the amnesiac. Maybe Yuma had principles before he gave up his memories, maybe he did have morals... But if Makoto showed us anything, he was frankly a ruthlessly cunning individual that crossed any line in order to reach the truth. You can see this in how he assigned a great many detectives to Kanai Ward, and most of them died.
... I know I'm rambling, but the point I wanted to make is that I'll be focusing on the Yuma that we know. Not that the former #1 isn't interesting to think about... But Yuma has heart, you know? I wish to reward that. Reward the nice guys. Reward the goobers. (人◕ω◕) It does mean Shinigami will be sticking around, and you could count her as an unofficial member of the harem (... I mean, c'mon. What? You want Shinigami to bonk her Master silly in the Mystery Labyrinth? Perverts. (人◕ω◕) Not that I'm much better.)... But as you'll see, I've tweaked the idea of Mystery Labyrinths. If Kodaka's going to have a game just short of Persona, I'm gonna go "all the way" with those ideas. Put my own spin on the concepts. (人◕ω◕) I regret nothing.
The Beginning
To absolutely no one's surprise... Kurumi won the poll. lol I don't mind, she's essentially "Detective Chiaki". Finally, a series where "Chiaki" lives... For those who played Danganronpa, they were just brutal with her, tearing out and stomping on our hearts. Again and again. XD As a consequence, though, Kodaka killed off just about everyone else. ... He just can't let us be happy, can he? (人◕ω◕)***
But this lets me get Kurumi-chan outta the way. Again, not that she's bad... She's honestly a really sweet girl, and I won't pretend otherwise. It's just that we know Kurumi's story, know her dynamic with Yuma. And I personally like saving my dessert - that is, the girls that I most strongly support with the protagonist - for last. ... Didn't completely work out for Fate, but aw well. (人◕ω◕)
... I'm rambling again. There's stuff I gotta elaborate on. The first thing to note in this AU is that through a miracle, the train gang - the detectives that Yuma first got to know before reaching Kanai Ward - are all spared, save for Zilch. What ended up happening is that Yuma passed out in front of the detectives, fell over and bumped his head. This allowed the detectives to figure out that he was drugged - likely by the coffee he drank - and the fake Zilch was left to improvise and have Swank and the Peacekeepers deal with the detectives after faking his death to pin on the detectives.
Yuma still goes to the Mystery Labyrinth and Shinigami executes fake Zilch at the end of it. Yakou still arrives to help get the Peacekeepers off Yuma and friends' backs, and they all successfully make it to the Nocturnal Detective Agency. I bring up this background information just so there's not any confusion about Pucci's survival, later on... And why I'll be bringing up the train detectives in subsequent Chapters. XD
Chapter 1 still goes the same way. So we'll skip right to the relevant bits: the Aetheria Academy arc. Chapter 2. (人◕ω◕)
Chapter 2 is... more changes. Due to a few more detectives moving around in Kanai Ward (Pucci, Aphex, Zange, Melami), the NDA is a little more known. Which is why one of the "Aetheria trio" (Yoshiko, Waruna, Kurane) approaches Yuma first, as opposed to Kurumi. Kurane-chan wanted to desperately explore one last non-violent option to expose Karen, and avoid blackening Waruna and Yoshiko's souls. (人◕ω◕)
... I won't go into full details just yet, save that for the appropriate posts. However, I will say that Kurane's actions do wind up saving herself, Waruna, and Yoshiko from becoming killers. It doesn't all go to plan, and they do throw Yuma under the bus when crap hits the fan... But they live, and are able to atone for screwing Yuma over. The Aetheria trio still has futures. (人◕ω◕)
With all this background explained... Let's talk about Kurumi~ Because Kurane was the first to approach Yuma, Kurumi is initially unaware of who "Yumi", one of the new girls at the academy, is. She doesn't know he's a detective looking into Aiko's death (Kurane is testing him, which is why she didn't give him all the details), just that "Yumi" cares enough to ask about Aiko and what happened to her. ... And "Yumi" is rather cute. Kurumi-chan totally fangirls over Yuma's female disguise that he got from Desuhiko. Fooled into thinking he is a girl, and just another student at the academy. (人◕ω◕)
Kurumi and Yuma hit it off pretty well. For the week or so leading up to the fateful rehearsal, Yuma pokes around, trying to pinpoint the truth behind Aiko's death, whether it was a suicide or if someone killed her. Initially, Kurumi tries putting the brakes on his investigation because Yuma's a "civilian", and she doesn't want him getting in trouble with the Peacekeepers... But after Yuma half-lies and says he has connections with the new detective agency in town, promising to get them involved if Kurumi lets him investigate... Kurumi allows it, and gives her all in supporting "Yumi".
... Then the rehearsal happens, and "Yumi" stands accused of Karen's murder. Kurumi is still kept out of the loop as Yuma, Desuhiko, and Melami give the Peacekeepers the runaround while investigating the new murder case. She does what she can for "Yumi" by asking the theater club members and comforting them, but unfortunately Kurumi's not able to do too much with all the Peacekeepers locking the theater hall down.
It's not until after everything blows over that Kurumi finds out the truth about "Yumi". ... I mean, she saw him exposed as a man when Martina cornered the detectives on stage, but she wouldn't get the full story until the case's bumpy resolution. Kurumi didn't take it very hard she was kept in the dark for so long; Yuma had his reasons, and while he couldn't keep a new murder from happening he did help expose the truth and bring closure to Aiko's death. And it was a relief that her doubts about Yoshiko, Waruna, and Kurane could be put to rest. All four of them were close friends of Aiko, and it hurt that Aiko is gone... But they're able to move forward now, even if the trio has regrets and feel they need to atone in their own ways.
Kurumi helps Yuma with his investigation into Kanai Ward, filling him in on the information her grandfather uncovered before he disappeared. That Amaterasu was dabbling in homunculus research. Kanai Ward is still a broken city in dire need of hope, but Kurumi feels more optimistic now that detectives have finally arrived. The perpetual rain feels a little less oppressing~
The Middle Act
Kurumi bonds with Yuma and the other detectives in the coming weeks. (人◕ω◕) Kurane does, too, clinging to Yuma pretty hard... And Waruna and Yoshiko come around at their own paces. The bottom line is, Yuma becomes a good friend to the Aetheria girls. (人◕ω◕) He can never replace Aiko... But he fills the role she left behind. Yuma's an earnest, kindhearted young man that won't stand for injustice. Yet he won't give into despair, won't stoop to murder or similar extreme methods. The ends don't justify the means. In his unwavering beliefs and how he slowly gains confidence the more time he spends in Kanai Ward, Yuma helps the Aetheria girls to remain grounded. He helps them to have hope once more. (人◕ω◕)
Of course Yuma's got a giant target painted on his back because of the Peacekeepers running everything, but Kurumi stands by Yuma. Not just because she's the city's only informant, but because Yuma is her friend. And he helped her connect with Yoshiko, Waruna, and Kurane.
... So when Yomi still nukes the sub, a couple of weeks after the Aetheria case... Kurumi is swept up into urgency by Kurane, who's the most worried about Yuma, especially after he gets spirited away by the Resistance... It's not like there's much they can do. Needless to say, Chapter 3 is pretty rough for the Aetheria girls. While Waruna and Yoshiko are still in the middle of reflecting and bonding with the detectives at their own respective paces, and while they have varying doubts about how much the detectives can really impact Kanai Ward's situation with Amaterasu... They still didn't wish harm on the detectives. Not after being given a new lease on life. Kurumi and Kurane are the closest with the detectives, and it hurts to see the sub blown up, to not know if the other detectives are alive... To know that someone kidnapped Yuma...
And later, events go further downhill. Yuma and the detectives get pinned as bombers, as terrorists... The Aetheria girls have to be careful with the Peacekeepers suffocating Kanai Ward more than usual in their hunt for the detectives, but they can't just stand by and not help Yuma find the truth behind the new case. Marunomon District doesn't get flooded this time around, but bombs going off and killing people is still... pretty bad... Kurumi does everything she can as an informant to glean as much evidence and testimony as possible. And Kurane looks to her, emulating Kurumi in her own way. Kurane's greatest strength is that people rarely notice her, even the bumbling Peacekeepers that are so dead-set on tracking down Yuma. It's an awesome investigative power, and Kurumi's grateful to have Kurane's help in gathering clues. Waruna and Yoshiko help in their own ways; Waruna's the fiery, overprotective girl, the "muscle"; and Yoshiko has... connections. Mostly schoolmates, but she's on good terms with people outside the academy, too.
Regardless of Kurumi and the Aetheria trio's help, Yuma, Aphex, and Fubuki still end up cornered. ... And then through some miracle, all the detectives come out of the woodwork, and they're saved and the Peacekeepers grudgingly stand down when Amaterasu's CEO shows up. Kurumi's not sure what to make of Makoto, he seems like a pretty laidback guy, but there are undertones of... something more, beneath the surface. He saved the detectives, saved Yuma, but Kurumi can't help wondering what Makoto's angle is. And she's even more baffled when the CEO gives the detectives their sub back, with everything inside pretty much the same as it was before it got destroyed.
About a month flies by before they all know it, after that debacle. The detectives are all reunited, Kurumi and the Aetheria trio can still hang around them, and even the Resistance leaders are coming around now... Kurumi was a bit intimidated by the Resistance before the detectives came to the city, only really having rumors to go off of. But really, the Resistance leaders are pretty goofy, even if they're capable in their own right. They're not as extreme as the rumors would have you believe.
With all of them coming together, it really feels like they can effect change in Kanai Ward. The Peacekeepers are still wary of the detectives, still want to arrest them... Or at least some of them do. Kurumi begins noticing that some Peacekeepers are, however grudgingly, allowing the detectives to look into cases. At least the small-time stuff. ... If Amaterasu is linked at all in incidents, they're still pretty defensive and ornery. But there's a lot of crime in Kanai Ward, and Amaterasu isn't tied in everything... Just the most serious stuff.
And with Vivia's latest intel, they've been trying to locate a secret lab where the homunculus research is being conducted. To no avail, but it's the best lead they have to go on. And so a month after that last debacle... Kurumi is anxious when the detectives go straight to Amaterasu and get wrapped up in another incident. She, her friends, and the Resistance can't do much but wait for the detectives to come back, and it's an agonizing wait...
Thankfully, the detectives do make it out of Amaterasu's HQ in one piece. And they bring good news: Yomi's been arrested, and it truly seems like Kanai Ward will change for the better after this. Kurumi's glad. The detectives still have their mission of discovering Kanai Ward's Ultimate Secret... But for the first time in years, Kanai Ward seems to have a bright future ahead of them.
... To Kurumi and everyone else's dismay, however, the tragedies aren't over yet. Apparently, after they see the news of the World Detective Organization getting bombed, everyone in the sub at the time is knocked out. And when they wake back up... Yuma is gone. Nothing else was taken, no threatening note was left behind... Yuma's just disappeared.
They all have a bad feeling about this. The detectives are determined to settle this themselves, to keep the "civilians" out of harm's way... But Kurumi, the Aetheria trio, and the Resistance absolutely refuse to sit this one out. While the detectives go straight to Amaterasu HQ to confront them about Yuma's abduction, the Aetheria girls and the Resistance scour Kanai Ward, just on the off chance that Yuma was taken by someone else...
To their great horror and discomfort, however... Yuma is nowhere to be found. They investigate hard over the next two days... The detectives return with their conclusion Yuma isn't in Amaterasu, they were even allowed free roam of the Amaterasu premises by Peacekeepers and researchers alike. And... he wasn't there. The Aetheria girls and the Resistance didn't have any luck, either - no one had seen or heard from Yuma. It's like he disappeared from the world completely...
And that's around the time that the detectives decided it was time to confront the one area they'd left untouched: The Restricted Area. If Yuma was nowhere in the Kanai Ward that they knew... Then he had to be there. Determined to save Yuma, everyone bands together to bust into the Restricted Area, rules and laws be damned. (人◕ω◕) They take one of the Resistance's vans and use it like a battering ram to plow through the electric fence around the perimeter of the Restricted Area. Then they take another van and drive on through the opening, not trusting at all what might be on the other side...
The Restricted Area is unlike anything they'd seen in Kanai Ward. It was rundown, and it seemed like an older area of the city, nowhere near as bright and illuminating as the rest of the city. It was like... darkness lurked in the Restricted Area. A deep darkness that made Kurumi feel anxious and worried, but they needed to take the plunge and find Yuma at all costs... He... He had to be there. There was nowhere left. No other possibilities. Kurumi and everyone else were unable to accept the possibility that it was too late to save Yuma... that he was already gone.
After finding that the Restricted Area was not an easy place to navigate by car, and that the people roaming about it seemed... strange somehow... the "Yuma Rescue Squad" got out to explore the area on foot. Servan and Aphex would stay with the van, driving around where they could and keeping an eye out. But the detectives, Kurumi, the Aetheria trio, and Shachi, and Iruka all split up to cover the most ground. They weren't dumb enough to search on their own, not in such unfamiliar territory; they formed pairs or groups. Kurumi stuck with her friends, and bravely forged on ahead.
... It was such a spooky, spine-tingling place. The locals were gruff and unresponsive to them, and not a single teenager was keen on approaching them more closely. They vaguely knew that this area was rumored to have had a gas leak in the nearby mines, and that Amaterasu labeled this town as uninhabitable... So maybe the locals were so strange because of that gas leak. Amaterasu might not have been able to do anything for the people here.
All Kurumi could do was keep searching for Yuma... He had to be okay. He had to be. Seeing this place so desolate and brought to utter ruination... A heavy weight was in Kurumi's chest and refused to go away. If Yuma was here, there was a good chance that he hadn't eaten or slept well... But they would save him. They wouldn't leave a single stone unturned.
To their immense relief, Kurane was able to find Yuma after what must have been an hour... He was holed up in a random house, after barricading the door and windows. Yuma... Yuma was bleeding. It looked like someone or something had tried gnawing his shoulder and neck, and his clothes were all roughed up. Kurumi and Yoshiko did what they could, scrounging around for any First Aid supplies in the home, bandaging Yuma up and sterilizing his wounds. He was horrified at seeing them in the abandoned village, fearfully asking if they'd encountered anyone... If everyone else had come here.
Yuma was not that relieved to hear that was the case. When asked what had happened to him, why he was holed up here, all Yuma could say was that the people in this village were wrong... They weren't normal. Weren't sane. He even went so far as to call them zombies... Yuma wasn't sure how or why he was brought here, but they needed to round up everyone and leave. He didn't want to endanger his friends...
He didn't feel that he was worth the effort to come here. Yuma had been prepared to just die trapped in this abandoned house. But now all he wants is to just get everyone safely out of the village... go back where they came. If they have to leave him behind, so be it.
Yoshiko and Waruna gave Yuma an earful about his self-sacrificial attitude, and Kurumi and Kurane just did their best to comfort him. They'd make it out... But Kurumi came to the realization that they should investigate this place. Yes, safety was paramount... But if they just left, Yuma could get dragged back here by whoever kidnapped him. Hell, the Peacekeepers might punish them for breaking in here, or they'd just seal off the Restricted Area again... This was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to find out what this place was, what happened here, and why Yuma was brought here.
... Kurane doesn't like the thought of lingering somewhere that almost got Yuma killed, but Waruna and Yoshiko uneasily agree that Kurumi's right. They can't just... leave without answers. They'll look around while searching for the Resistance and the detectives.
In subsequent events, they skirt around the locals that Yuma's deeply fearful of. They investigate an old post office, and find the order to evacuate amidst papers left behind. Soon enough familiar faces show up, and the girls have no choice but to believe the "zombie" story that Yuma fed them. There's no other explanation for seeing Karen and her father approaching them sluggishly, moaning and groaning incomprehensibly. They make a run for it, and somebody outside shoots an arrow attached with a note that explained a little bit about defective homunculi... They don't have the time to sit and reflect on it, so they keep moving, and eventually run into the Priest from the church, as well as that Worshipper. And before long, more and more familiar faces emerge from the woodwork, none of them can be reasoned with so Yuma and the girls keep running.
Gradually, they hook back up with the other Rescue Squad members, who are thankfully in one piece, if not spooked by the seemingly cannibalistic residents. They eventually reach the ominous factory, and uncover more information about homunculi and the true nature of Kanai Ward. Some Rescue Squad members are already in the factory and surrounding areas, poking around. They learn the uncomfortable truth that the meat buns of Kanai Ward are made from human corpses, and they just keep learning more and more...
The final "stop" on their tour is an old bathhouse up high. They all can see this is where the unending rain originates from, and when they turn off the equipment... everyone but the detectives pass out, and the residents of the abandon village go berserk. Makoto arrives to restore the rain, but only after Yuma "lends a hand". Right after the rain is back, Makoto and the detectives have a tense standoff, and Yuma has no choice but to access the Mystery Labyrinth one more time to resolve everything. Thankfully, however, he's not alone as all the Nocturnal Detective Agency personnel join Yuma on this last eye-opening adventure. (人◕ω◕)
The Future
Players should probably know by now how the final adventure goes. (人◕ω◕) Yuma uncovers everything, and this time he's got his NDA friends supporting him, not just Shinigami. It's an emotional rollercoaster for all of them... But they get Makoto to change his ways, to leave the labyrinth and reveal the truth without killing him.
I haven't really mentioned up until now, but the chief difference with the labyrinths from canon is that it's possible to talk it out with the culprits' souls and have them reveal the truth to everyone outside the labyrinth. There's no need to execute the culprit every single time. With the soul returning to the culprit, changed, the labyrinth fades away on its own. So essentially, Yuma and co. won't have to use Shinigami's emergency exit. (人◕ω◕) Shinigami can remain contracted to Yuma.
Of course that means Yuma won't regain his memories... But he's fine with that in the end~ Because all the mysteries have been solved. Makoto is going to tell Kanai Ward everything, and he's going to strive to open their city up to the world and allow them opportunities to leave. Amaterasu will develop innovations to help them deal with their weakness to sunlight. Hearing the truth will be hard for the citizens, especially for the Rescue Squad... But the people of Kanai Ward will endure.
And the NDA... Well... (人◕ω◕) Yakou thinks he'll be on his own again, everyone else returning to the WDO for new assignments... But he's floored when he's wrong. Yuma, for one, resolves to stay and help the NDA. Kanai Ward still needs detectives... They're at a crossroads now, with Peacekeepers receiving a major overhaul, Amaterasu coming back from years of corruption. Yuma might not have the memories, but he knows that he used to be #1 of the WDO, and as he currently is... He can't lead the organization. Yuma would rather work here, where he knows he can still make a difference. (人◕ω◕) The train gang that he came here with pretty much agree to stay, too, for their own reasons. Desuhiko, Halara, Vivia, and Fubuki will at least go back to the WDO for the election to decide the new #1, but then they'll probably come back to help as detectives~ Their time here wasn't long, but they're loyal to each other and to Yakou. It's enough to make the poor guy bawl his eyes out. He's touched. (人◕ω◕)
Kurumi graduates from Aetheria Academy soon after everything resolves, and she remains the city's informant - although with the detectives' help, she may find new informants willing to step up, to learn from her~ Yuma remained here because of his bonds with the few people of Kanai Ward that he's gotten to know these past several weeks. He has an ever-deepening bond with Kurumi and her friends, and the Resistance.
Yuma still has plans to travel the world someday... He may or may not settle in Kanai Ward forever... But he's in no rush to leave. And even if he ever does depart, Yuma will have a bunch of... buddies... tagging along. (人◕ω◕) ... Alright, they're his girlfriends. No use beating around the bush. He can't deny that he loves them all, and they love him. ... A lot. (人◕ω◕) Sure, certain girls are more competitive and greedy... But Kurumi's one of the ones willing to share Yuma. Yoshiko, Waruna, Kurane, Fubuki, Pucci... They're all good people. She wouldn't keep Yuma from them~
... Guillaume is an interesting one, but more on her later. (人◕ω◕)
Surprisingly, Kurumi is slower on the "I wanna marry Yuma" campaign... She's content to just be with him. Yoshiko, Waruna, and Kurane are more ambitious. ... Or in Kurane's case, she just... needs him. Very badly. (人◕ω◕) Pucci is ambitious, too. Fubuki more goes with the flow. Guillaume is... Guillaume. There's no rush for baby Yuma's, either. Not for Kurumi, at least. Not to say Kurumi wouldn't like having a family with Yuma; the idea is very appealing. It's just... Kurumi's deeply flustered with that intimate stuff. The really, really intimate stuff. Hugs and kisses are great, she likes cuddling, but taking off clothes and doing..... that... Kurumi's not horny. It's too embarrassing for her. In the beginning, anyway. Kurumi is beaten out by her friends in this instance; each of them having their reasons for craving Yuma on that physical level. (人◕ω◕)
Nevertheless, Kurumi does form a family with Yuma someday. Makoto was gracious enough to give Yuma and his ladies residence in Kanai Tower, and later he also helps oversee the building of a proper "home" for all of them... Of course it has to be big. There's seven of them plus Yuma. And then you throw in their kids... Yuma's life is very busy with seven lovers, but he doesn't regret loving them. (人◕ω◕) Kurumi's one of the gentler, "fun" moms. And she's second in maturity, only losing out to Yoshiko on that front. ... But that's cuz Yoshiko's used to being a mother figure, even before her children were born.
The rain never stops in Kanai Ward... But now Kurumi and everyone else knows it's there to protect them. And with the NDA alive and thriving in the new Kanai Ward... With Yuma there... Life had never been sweeter for Kurumi-chan. (人◕ω◕)

opinions and thoughts on terukane ghost hotel?
i think there concept or relationship in it is pretty interesting since akane is literally terus demon
OH BOY DO I HAVE THOUGHTS ON THE TERUKANE GHOST HOTEL AU
It's the only AU I have two vastly different takes that I am fond of.
The first take is that they are both a disaster but kind at their core: Akane was tricked by the clock keepers (they cursed his parents and made him sell his soul in exchange to break the curse) and became a demon.
Akane has the potential to be extremely powerful and dangerous but he promised himself to not fall to the same level as the demons that tricked him. He is so stubborn he actually managed to stick with his human morals. He never stole anyone's soul and ignored temptation like a pro, to the point he barely gets it anymore. This made him a relatively weak demon, but one that cares for others more than himself. Truly, he is a strange case, no one has ever seen a demon that is hard-working but not greedy. Akane can even be called nice when you get to know him. The hotel finds him weird but they like him. He is best friends with Aoi-chan, who is a fairy, so she doesn't fall in love or feel any attraction to anyone.
Teru is a full-time exorcist that never went to school, and was taught everything in a monastery, so he didn't have any friends. After Kou 'disappeared' Teru goes on a years long quest searching for him, he barely interacts with people in his travels, so he is atrocious at socializing and only good at rituals and killing. He traps Akane in a blood pact that makes it so Akane must obey his every order, and very quickly gets attached to him, trusting the demon so much he slowly stops using the pact's influence when giving Akane orders. When he gets a crush he falls hard and he has no idea how to flirt, his attempts are atrocious, Akane is very confused.
(I wrote a fic about this take if you are curious, it’s pretty old, but you can check it Here)
The second take is more messy and hostile because Akane takes someone's soul. He is more demoniac than human.
content warning for violence and manipulation below.
When the clock keepers trick Akane into selling his soul there is someone nearby. Akane is in terrible pain because of his demon transformation and all his senses are a mess, so when a curious stranger tries to check on him he ends up forcefully stealing the person's soul to satiate his hunger. It tastes delicious.
He regrets it when he comes to his sense and is determined to keep his human morals but his desire to taste a soul again is so strong he subconsciously twists his sense of what's 'right' to something more convenient without noticing, convinced he does the right thing by stealing the souls of criminals and other 'bad people', using his powers to help civilians and kill other demons.
The more souls he consumes, the more powerful and less human he becomes. His appearance stops changing after three souls, but his behavior constantly gets worse, until his core values become typical of a demon: greedy and selfish, even his hard work became a product of pure pride over time, with no desire to help others. He eventually hunts down Kako and Mirai, who are very powerful, and kills them to get what belongs to him back (his human soul). It doesn't work, you can't get your soul back after a monster consumes it, and the lack of rewards added with all the injures he accumulated in his battle with Kako and Mirai breaks something in him.
When Akane gets stuck in the ghost hotel, he is not a good 'person'.
Akane respects Aoi but he looks almost hungry at her, so she may had been intrigued by his arrival, but she doesn't like him, making sure they are never alone. His mood is also too volatile, he no longer has any souls to steal (monsters either don't have souls or their souls are corrupted) so he get greedy with other things: when he gets possessive with Aoi, the fairy loses her patience and poisons him, keeping her distance. The hotel doesn't like him, and he doesn't have any friends, but Hanako keeps him around cause he is the most hard-working and efficient employee.
Teru is the same in both takes, he was raised in a monastery and went on a journey to search for Kou, but this time, his blood pact with Akane is far tenser. Akane is an actual threat to him, so Teru's need to take various precautions in this pact, his orders having a strong grip on akane but they are not absolute. Even when Teru orders Akane to not hurt or kill him, he is still paranoid, well aware Akane may have trouble and even hurt himself if he tries to go against direct orders, but he have enough power and determination to try anyways.
Akane wants to eat his soul, and Teru knows, he never lowers his guard near him, his orders made to punish any of Akane's murder attempts. When Teru orders him to get him something to eat from the hotel kitchen, and Akane comes back with fruits or bread, he'll always tell Akane to "take a bite" as a test. If it's poisoned (it usually is) he'll order Akane to eat the whole thing, not taking any mercy on Akane when he gets sick from the poison, and punishing him if he fight against the order and doesn't finish the meal. It's a 'lesson' that makes Akane hate him more than anyone, but it does works: Akane eventually stops trying to kill him with poison.
Teru forces Akane to get him a room in the hotel instead of being gifted one, and he only allows himself to sleep after five days as a guest, when his room is so protected even a demon as strong as Akane won't be able to barge in.
Akane doesn't take too long to be attracted to Teru, it's not love, he still hates Teru's guts, and genuinely resents him, offended he is forced to obey the exorcist, but he finds him exceptionally beautiful in this gloomy hotel, and wants him to himself. Teru can sense it, and depending on his mood he is either completely intolerant and throws holy water on Akane's face until the demon burns or mock him for it, stabbing him and saying he'll give him a kiss if he be a good demon (he does not give him a kiss even when Akane acts good, Teru is just being a bitch).
He only ever kisses Akane when he is desperate and he can sense Akane is growing resistant to their pact, so Teru uses anything he can to tighten his leash and trick him into 'behaving'. At first, Akane is surprised but he doesn't take long to realize what his intentions are, establishing a strange exchange. They both bring out the worst in each other.
They are constantly on edge, it takes years for trust to form and when it does Akane is very possessive.
#tbhk#terukane#my brain has two modes: 'silly goofy mood' and 'give me a corruption arc! give me violence!!'#the comcept of demon akane make me so insane#cause demonsa re greedy and selfish at their core and akane is that to an extent but he is also very sweet and selfless#so his determination without his moral compass is a recepie for a very dangerous demon

Just thinking of the old grandpas' parenting style and I feel like it looks like Shion would be seen as the responsible/caring parent vs Dohko who would be seen as the irresponsible parent but if you look at how Mu/Saga turned out compared to Shiryu I think its a huge difference
Mu ofc isn't a horrible person but he does a lot of questionable things that really honestly does not make him seem great? I know a lot of the reason why he does nothing 80% of the time is because he's testing the drive of both Saori/the bronze saints and cuz (in the Poseidon arc) he was thinking more rationally/ listening to whatever Dohko ordered them to do since they couldn't leave the Sanctuary in case Hades did a surprise attack.
But also bringing up in the manga, after the Ikki arc and the silver saints come in to kill the bronze saints, Mu switches out the bodies of the (apparently still alive) black saints with the main 4, so the silver saints end up killing the black saints instead of them which is like really fucked tbh?? Like ig they were evil or whatever that's just still bad in general?? All of them already got what was coming for them and it just didn't feel deserved they go through that. Plus Mu's morality is never questioned because of it either? Though this was only in the manga, and Mu doesn't do anything like this again so I guess I can't really say it defines his character.
Also for Saga, I'm counting him in this since apparently the Saga origin story has it confirmed Shion was basically like the Gemini twin's father since they were the first saints to arrive of their generation and I think it's highly doubtful that he wouldn't not take care of them if they're the only babies around the Sanctuary, plus we don't need to go into what's wrong with Saga.
I'm not saying that Shion isn't caring or anything but I don't think he's someone who's regularly kind or warm to people. Rewatching the Hades arc and he wasn't kind one bit, which given the circumstances I can get, since for the most part the way he was like was half-acting/half-with the trouble at hand, it really gives no time to be nice to anyone but also counterpoint you're telling Shion is a kind man when the Sanctuary is like that??🤨 It didn't seem Saga was too far off from how Shion acts for the 13 years too.
I just feel like he's the type of parent to expect a lot from his kids while giving tough love for the most part. Like of course he will help them if it's really needed, but it really creates this pressure that they can't fail because the idea of disappointing him is something they wouldn't want go through. Which I can imagine that was why Saga snapped when he wasn't chosen as the Pope.
As for Dohko, I think it's a little harder to say because the whole time we see him as an old man who's already wise beyond his years so it's hard to know he was like since when he becomes young again he still has his experience behind him so ofc he'll still be the most level-headed out of everyone.
From what I think it looks like, Dohko used to be the type of guy who gets really heated up and just goes straight through into things without thinking (and not really counting Lost Canvas where he's a cool guy). He just looks like the type of person who's used to be very free and reckless where no one could even think he'd become a parent in the future but ends up being arguably the best one.
I'm just imaging them when they're younger on the topic of having kids when they're older:
Dohko: I'm not gonna be a dad! (will win the dad of the year reward in 200 years)
Shion: I don't want kids. (means it)

I don't know anything about vtmb (planning to play it but just have a really long list of games i'm planning to play) so how about some facts about the game you think are cool? What as a game did it do to really grab you? Is there anything specific to vtmb that you put into your OCs (and OC AUs) that really fits their character and you want to talk about?
HMMM OH THIS IS A VERY FUN QUESTION... LET ME SEE IF I CAN ANSWER... Btw if you do plan on playing it make sure to get the Wesp5 Plus Patch!!! it fixes a lot of bugs and restored cut content!!
This will be. VERY LONG. I'm sorry
Let me see if I can go in order...
Facts about the game I think are cool:
I dont really know a lot about the history of the game development but I want to research it, however I genuinely love just how purely alternative it is, in a style sense. The game is in-your-face about its gothic and alt infuences coherent with the early 2000s, and it never feels like it's just doing it for the sake of being commercial, because the music choices and the decisions taken with the designs of some characters just feel like home to me idk. Like obviously I never expected it to be "trad goth" because its a game set in 2004; published in 2004. But I was pleasantly surprised to see how it wears its gothic and punk inspirations on its sleeve. But that makes sense, as Vampire: The Masquerade (the ttrpg) itself explicitly dedicates a section of the 20th edition core rulebook to this very topic (the game is based on the 20th anniversary edition).
There's so many ways the game could go during and in the ending. While obviously "good" behavior is rewarded and grants you more XP, sometimes it makes tyou wonder if it's even worth taking a different path instead to see how it goes. Obviously more XP generally is better because you can spend more points to adjust your stats, but sometimes even the good options are like, kind of morally questionable since this IS a world about vampires who still see humans/kine as lambs for the slaughter. Literally almost all the options that help keep the Masquerade cause you a humanity loss, which I think makes sense. I find that interesting.
The game itself might have one of the most satisfying endings I've ever seen in a videogame. Not that it is perfect, and it shows the final sections are very rushed when you think about it (thanks, Activision) but even with the little time they had at their disposal Troika managed to put together an ending that doesn't overstay its welcome imo, it's just about right. Obviously it'd be nice to have an epilogue section or what have you, but does the story need one? I would probably say not, because it's fun to come up with things yourself. After all, the game is still based on a ttrpg which at the table you can tweak and change however you like.
I'm not an expert on the game history so these are my unfiltered unprofessional opinion as i am a newbie both to this game specifically and VtM/WOD in general when it comes to the ttrpg, though i'd probably say it was a long time coming. There's probably a lot more that's interesting that people have explored better in other videos or posts
As for the rest of the questions...
The game grabbed me instantly because it is like, literally the perfect mix of things I like in a videogame/poiece of media in general. A contemporary setting + urban supernatural events/facets of the world + characters that can easily pass as people that really exist + stellar voice acting (except for some parts) + some horror here and there + obviously VAMPIRES... I vaguely knew what the game was about before playing it, but not to this extent, so when I started it up I was instantly hooked. If you know my ocs you'll know a lot of my own stuff more or less follows a similar line so it's no wonder I would love it. Personally on a aesthetic sense the graphics of the game are of its time but also just wonderful to the eyes. Not perfect, but it's the ideal combo of cartoony models/figures + realistic textures. Also, for how small the hub worlds are, they just feel really lively I think. Their tiny size also helps make the story feel more compact and less stretched out to a stupid extent.
As for my OCs... well there's a lot of potential for that specific setting I think, if you put your ocs in an au or make ocs for it. There's a little bit of backstory you can come up with for your fledgling and again the small size of the hub worlds makes it easier for you to see how to integrate an oc you already had in an AU for it imo. But this is also bc im insane and i always find ways to do it. HGHNFKFGNFN.
I would have to make a separate post/receive a more specific question regarding the ocs thing because I am already so long winded rn, I also wouldn't know where to begin. But every single thing I've decided for my vtm(b) AU so far involving my ocs like salice, allen, phoebe, etc. is like, really funny how perfect they were for the AU before I even had to think about tweaking anything on their character

oh please please tell us about the next qq fic 🥺🥺🥺
Hello, beloved!!! Thank you for enabling me lmao!!
So I desperately missed writing little queer quartet adventures, but was basically brain dead and fell into a heavy post-fic depression after my last mystery fic. But I've been spinning this idea around in my head for a long time now and will very soon have time to write!! Bits and pieces will likely change, but I can tell you some things so far.
Putting this under a read-more actually because I kind of rambled and I don't want to clog the dash lol
It will take place in India in the mid 1400s. The quartet will have come from Bulgaria, escaping the consequences of a certain mistake that Quynh might have made in battle. Not a small mistake, either. They make it to northeast India and have to stop because by that point they're penniless and starving. Conveniently, there happens to be a noble Hungarian family who has settled there for not-yet-known reasons, managed by the lady of the house, lady Morana, because the lord is off fighting the Ottomans. Anyway, Morana is causing problems with the locals by demanding that they mine for ~~something, ohh~~ even though she hopes she's being a good person by supplying them with jobs and extra food. But whatever she's mining for --- which she has not actually specified --- must be really valuable because she's offering all of the house's gold and riches as a reward to whomever finds it. She has men overseeing the mines who sift through all the resources people find, who might call on anyone at any time if they happen to find the thing. Anyway -- the quartet sees this noble family (and later a very sick population of locals) and think, "hmm. We should con them and redistribute the wealth." Naturally.
Somewhere along this line (I'm still figuring it out) they, or more specifically Yusuf or Quynh, realize the lady might be looking for a fabled substance that can turn iron into gold. That's right: the philosopher's stone. So this is sort of how they try to con her. Yusuf takes on the role/disguise of an alchemist and makes fool's gold, Nico has to pretend to be a leper for a little while. It's a whole thing.
But before all of that, Quynh and Andromache both get jobs working for this family because... food and money are needed, stat. Even though Quynh is morally opposed and grumpy about it, she gets a job as a servant, hoping it will put her closer to the lady of the house so she can learn her secrets (like wtf are you digging the land for, lady). It doesn't quite. Turns out Quynh is hired specifically to assist the lady Morana's daughter, Jana, who is blind. Jana is not helpless like her mother thinks, and she is very smart and well-read. She and Quynh develop a nice little friendship and do anarchy. Andromache is hired as a swordsman to train the eldest child of the noble house, Henrik, who is 16 and acts like it.
I could talk a lot about the OCs because I just spent a few days developing them, but I'll keep it under wraps for now unless anyone wants to know dsfgfd. I just figured the canon characters are probably a lot more interesting.
Andromache will eventually get to beat up the bratty young lord (for a good reason).
Yusuf will put his artist skills to good use, and miiight come across some problems as he pretends to be an alchemist (I mean, lying about the fact that you have THE miraculous alchemical substance has consequences).
In befriending Jana, Quynh may also befriend a Mysterious Character who also works for the household, ohhhh. I was thinking a lot about GoT and HotD lol. Many mysterious spy-like characters there.
And Nicolo will discover some things about medicine that will have lasting benefits. (He might also have to amputate something in order to look like a convincing leper, but he'll get better lol).
I can tell you there will be alchemy (well, not really but you know), lepers, moral issues / grey morality, OCs I am kind of proud of, drama as usual, and very many typical queer quartet shenanigans and jokes.
Anyway uhh yes! There it is... <3 I'm still figuring out the plot and doing my research, but it's definitely cooking. It will also switch POV between the four characters, which I don't think I've done before in one fic yet! I'm aiming for Quynh to be more of the focus though. If this ends up being like 40,000 words and super niche or disorganized, oh well. I'm just happy I have a new idea <3 Thanks again!!
#ty hannah for enabling me ;w; <3 i am shy and have the urge to self-deprecate but i'm resisting!!!!#sage writes#this fic doesn't have a title yet so i can't tag it ohh noooo#my google doc with all the notes is called 'elixir of life fic LET'S GOOOOO'

My idiots' general opinions about companions and each other
Astarion
Artemis: His skills are useful. I like his drive, but he could do to gain some sort of moral fiber rather than just seeking amusement.
Astrophel: Oh, he's the best. I would like to know more about him, but I get the feeling that the two of us are too alike for an honest conversation.
Azriel: Hm... he's a hunter in his own right. I can respect that... he also has a pretty good sense of humor.
Kieran: He's odd and livelier than most undead that I've met. I don't know how to feel about it, but he's nice, I think. He's sneaky sneaky, too.
Shadowheart
Artemis: Her devotion is admirable, but I wish she would allow herself... something more while she has her whole life ahead of her.
Astrophel: A kind and devoted soul. I... feel a little bad for her, the gods, especially ones as petty as Shar, rarely reward such things, but as long as she's happy, then whatever.
Azriel: She's a nice person and a good friend to have.
Kieran: Her goddess freaks me out, but she's nice. I like helping her heal the others.
Gale
Artemis: An ambitious wizard is hardly a novelty, but straj, he'd put a lot of them to shame. Whether that's good or bad remains to be seen.
Astrophel: Oh, he's a delight. Normally not entirely fond of wizards, but he's nice to listen to. Hm, wonder if he'd loan me any books...
Azriel: He's smart, but he's not the wisest guy there is, huh....
Kieran: ...I don't think he likes me or thinks much about me, but I... wanna get along with him. ...maybe learn a few words, too...
Lae'zel
Artemis: She's a devoted warrior. I... don't exactly trust her goddess. Vlaakith isn't like my father's goddess, but I can't help but be unsettled by an entire race showing one deity such reverence.
Astrophel: I knew a githyanki, once, before I met her... he was... very different than how she is, not sure they'd get along. That said, she's one of the more unique souls I've ever met.
Azriel: Heh, I like her style.
Kieran: ...I want to know about the funeral rites of her people, just in case.
Karlach
Artemis: Heh, she's strong... very strong. I want to aid her in getting her heart fixed in whatever way I can. Someone like her is worth facing the hells for.
Astrophel: Oh, she's... wow. The better poets would have a field day writing about her, as they should, really. She deserves to be immortalized, I think.
Azriel: I'm really glad she isn't dead, and I'll do whatever I can to keep her from begin dead.
Kieran: She's fun! ...I'll be sad when that weird thing goes out.
Wyll
Artemis: He's an honorable man, one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He will regain some of what he has lost. I will make sure of it.
Astrophel: ...at least he sold his soul for an honorable cause, but I'm sure there is a loophole in his contract somewhere...
Azriel: I don't think much of the noble prince thing he has going for him, but he isn't a bad person to know.
Kieran: When he passes, he will be honored greatly by everyone who's lives he played a part in. There are few that can attest to the same.
Halsin
Artemis: A wise man. I'd seek out his council on most matters.
Astrophel: He's unique, I'll give him that. He's the type of elf that has a lot of stories to tell, and I'd love to hear his most interesting.
Azriel: His connection to the earth is admirable...
Kieran: He's wise and respects the natural order of things. I can respect that, though... do I wonder if he would... make a little wooden duck for me...
Minthara
Artemis: She was wise to reject Lolth, but I do not trust her. My honor is unstained and my hands are ready to deliver justice for all that she has slain... but everyone deserves a chance at redemption, even those like her.
Astrophel: As lovely and twice as deadly as the most lethal of nightshades... I do not envy anyone that invokes her ire, but if she calls me a faerie again, I'm stabbing her in her sleep.
Azriel: Deadly and loyal, a good mix.
Kieran: She reminds me a little of those in the cult of Myrkul I knew... calculated and cruel, but she's different in the fact that she'll at least kill while the enemy can fight back sometimes.
Jaheira
Artemis: A just and stern soul. My mother used to read me stories about her when I was still a child. Words do not do her justice.
Astrophel: Others of my profession tell such tall tales of her, but I must admit, her actual story seems far more interesting.
Azriel: She knows my true nature and allows me to live anyway... it's more than I deserve, probably.
Kieran: She'll live forever in the hearts of many for her heroic deeds from before and now... though, for her sake, I hope the bards get it right this time.
Minsc/Boo
Artemis: He's a warrior, and I would hope to spar against him one day.
Astrophel: Well, his hamster is adorable, but I'm not so sure what to think about the man himself. He's an honest soul, and those usually don't associate with the likes of me.
Azriel: ...I don't know how to feel about him calling himself my uncle, honestly.
Kieran: Boo is cute, but uh... Minsc... worries me.
Artemis
Astrophel: Ah, the noble, just paladin... truly the heroine of a great tale of chivalry and honor... forgive me if I fall asleep halfway through.
Azriel: Her thirst for spider's blood is only matched by her love of shiny things. Just need to keep her focus on our enemies.
Kieran: She's kind... I really like her. She gave me rocks that were kind of shiny that I like to keep with some bones I thought were neat.
Astrophel
Artemis: He's a more prolific liar than poet, and it shows. Though, whatever he's hiding, he doesn't seem to want to harm anyone.
Azriel: He's useful for his charms, but I prefer Alfira over him.
Kieran: He likes to tell me stories about all sorts of things... he said he's going to teach me to read when we get time, but I doubt he'll be able to.
Azriel
Artemis: If we can keep his bloodlust focused on the enemy rather than on us, then he is an asset. Should he lose control, though... I will put him to the sword.
Astrophel: I don't trust him, but I don't dislike him either. He... tries, so I'll support him... but he'll have to forgive me if I'm not eager to get too close after the last bard he was left alone with.
Kieran: Unnatural death follows him like a shadow... he is a killer, but he is kind, too. I don't know what to think about it all, but he is strong enough to fight his own demons...
Kieran
Artemis: I have... never thought I would meet a cleric who does not know the name of the god they serve... nor one that was so flippant about life and death.
Astrophel: I've never met someone so blunt before, but it adds to some of his charm... They just need to learn to read, and I'm sure they'll be... well, not better, but maybe more articulate.
Azriel: He's wiser than his naivety would imply. I would trust them to bury me with the greatest care and not much else.

@luposcainus asked: âťť I am part walker.. I just call myself a halfbie âťž
Before Caspian had even spoken a word, just as he and Rick made their way into the camp's clearing, Shane cocked his Mossberg 590 and aimed. Face fixed to a snarl, the shotgun's barrel pointed at Caspian's head, outsiders were never welcomed as far as the ex-deputy was concerned. Their numbers small already - so many innocent lives lost from the survivor group - there could be no risks taken anymore. Humans cruel but able to be overpowered, whatever the other man was couldn't be trusted, wouldn't be allowed to step a foot further as long as Shane could do something about it. Sure, he had heard through the grapevine what Caspian could do. Supernatural abilities that were possessed and more; how he saved Andrea's life during a supply run gone wrong. By all accounts, he was a good man and someone that was needed to have around. In the very least, be offered a place at the table, Rick ever desperate to show his appreciation and thanks for what was done on behalf of his friend. A warm meal and shelter for a night. A reward for Caspian.
But Shane didn't feel the same. Couldn't ignore the nervousness that swirled in his stomach, it didn't matter that the half-Walker saved Andrea's life. Not to the man who still wielded a gun and kept it loaded. Caspian was just as evil as any other of the undead. Prone to hurt those that were loved most by Shane, a danger. Both Andrea and Rick alike were eager to defend the kid. Sang nothing but praise for his skills - strength and sight and agility heightened - his morals not forgotten. But none of that compared to the reality of his situation. Caspian was bitten. Once before, maybe more, half of something that had killed and murdered. Shane wouldn't let anyone, not himself nor his companions forget that, not the man who stood before him, either. No savior was Caspian.
As if he needed further clarification, Rick's greeting painful enough, Caspian's reiteration downright grating to the ears, the ex-deputy shook his head, disregarded the attempt at courtesy.
"I don't care what you are." Shane growled, maneuvering from one spot of the campsite to another, entire body in front of Carl and Sophia, protecting them as they stared in wonder, their game of play suddenly interrupted. "Walker, human, it doesn't make a lick of difference to me. I've heard about you. I know the sorta things that you can do. Quite frankly, I don't trust you. Yeah, you've done a real nice thing savin' Andrea when she needed it, man, but let me tell you somethin'. She don't need you now. None of us need you here. I don't know what my buddy Rick said to you in order to get y'all to come out to our camp, but for the safety of folks here, I think it's best you get goin' back to where you came. I don't want no trouble, Caspian."

House of Stairs
House of Stairs by William Sleator is a dark book exploring the moral conditioning of our young protagonists. This book had me very invested because I am a closeted horror/thriller fan and this book scratched that itch for a young adult book that had me genuinely wondering what was going to happen next.
A really important feature of this book is the loose plot, in my opinion, its strengths lie in how much it feels like 5 interconnected character pieces. It follows five, sixteen-year-olds: Peter, Lola, Blossom, Abigail, and Oliver as they discover their unique situation in this house of stairs. They all have very distinct personalities and this determines their tense relations as the story progresses. Peter is initially very closed off and quiet, Lola outgoing and opinionated, Blossom very cunning and calculating, Abigail very composed but worried about Oliver's opinion of her, and Oliver a charismatic type who was used to things going his way. While it was very interesting to learn tiny details about the setting through these individual characters' experiences the main focus is on the dynamics between these 5 characters as they appeal to the machine that gives them food.
This machine eventually forces these characters to be ruthlessly mean, physically and emotionally abusing each other in, order to receive decreasing amounts of food. They are conditioned to abuse each other and be rewarded.
Spoilers Ahead: Eventually Lola and Peter break off to resist the influence of the machine they do not abuse each other and instead decide to support each other and starve. Their willpower caves eventually due to hunger but then the experiment stops and they are freed with Lola and Peter being banished for their good behavior and resistance to conditioning. Lola and Peter failed the experiment according to the doctors but we readers know that they “won”. If you want a simple didactic lesson from this story there you have it: don't be mean to others despite what anyone says. However, I want to look deeper into these characters and what they made me think about if I was in a situation like this.
I found it a bit too easy to have that takeaway of always being nice even if it costs your life, certainly a fine message to take away from a book if a bit childish. The readers are instinctively drawn to relate to Lola and Peter as good characters because they fall into a main character role even if there isn’t directly one main character of this story. What I found most interesting to consider was the relatability of Oliver, Abigail, and Blossom. I and many others when reading stories want to relate to the main, usually “good” characters pursuing their noble deeds and if I cannot directly relate to them I wish to be like them. This leads to an ostracization of the “evil” characters in stories and a wish to not be like them. However, in House of Stairs, we get a good amount of insight into the “evil” characters, focusing on Abigail for a moment demonstrates how I thought about my own sense of morals. After Blossom had stolen the food Abigail wasn’t finished eating she became mad for the first time we have seen: “,and for the first time in her life she began holding a grudge. All day the resentment and anger grew inside her.” (Sleator 136). This is portrayed as a negative outcome as a corruption of a previously “good” character.
However, I thought about it like this: Who wouldn't be mad that their food got stolen? I found Abigail’s position to be a pretty relatable one. I think House of Stairs offers us a chance to relate to “bad” characters and this is a really important thing for readers to see, especially young adult readers. It is completely fine to relate to “evil” and I would encourage it. Every person has flaws and despite how much I idolize my fantasy protagonists always doing the right thing for the good of their societies or themselves, that will (most likely) never be me and I wish I had considered that sooner.

Eli Finch Alphabet 18+
Bastard, feral man! I literally conjured this man into my mind involuntarily and now he's stuck there. First time I've done something like this so hopefully you guys like it! I've based this on an alphabet template I saw credited to @/dear-yandere. I will probably do a much more in-depth one, about how he met the reader and some background info, but I thought this would be a good starter! Also, there is a bit of an NSFW section but I'll warn you before :) Also swearing!!! I see him as Jack O'Connell but see him as you like! 18+
Also, I haven't published the majority of the story yet so most of this is just can be seen as a character study as I have left some things a bit vague to not spoilt potential future plots. If you want to read the beginning of his series go here!
Okay before we get into it, let's cover the basics.
Eli is a bastard through and through. His early years were not kind and in order to survive, he did what he needed to do. Stealing, lying, cheating, violence, manipulation, etc. Now I know what you're wondering, but why does the reader care so much for him? Why do they seem to not care about his more violent tendencies? Simple, he refuses to let you see that side of him. Ever since you showed him a crumb of kindness he vowed to always protect you and that means protecting you from the sides of him that border on monstrous. That doesn't mean he won't use his skills for your benefit. We've seen that he is more than willing to lie, cheat and steal to get you whatever your heart desires.
Those jewels look real pretty on you sweetheart
Also, he is a naturally charismatic person and while he hates the idea of physically hurting you or you seeing him be violent, he has no moral objections to using his charms to manipulate you. In fact, he's been manipulating you since the first moment you met. Although it has been in small, innocent-seeming ways, he's been in control of your friendship since the beginning. Not that you had any idea though.
You wouldn't want to break my heart now would you darling?
NSFW:
This man is a fucking massive perv. He's been thinking of fucking you since the day he got an accidental sneak peek down by the river (okay so maybe it wasn't an accident as he claims). But I'm not just talking about just thinking about it, I mean he takes active steps to get as much intimacy from you as possible (even before his change). Whether it be from you yourself, hugging a bit too long and too tight and leaning a bit too close behind you when you are kneading dough.
But sweetheart! I'm just giving you a hand! Don't you want me to give you a helping hand?
Or the way he forces intimacy with you via your things.
You two are sitting up in your room, teaching him to read
You are doing so well!
Do you really think so darling? With all this hard work I think I deserve a reward. How bout a kiss?
When you suddenly get called away by your parents. Hogs to be fed, chickens to be plucked. He doesn't mind, it gives him some alone time with your things. Your soiled clothes, your pretty undergarments and all the time in the world to imagine what you would look like bent over your desk in the corner.
He may love and cherish you but if you think that's gonna stop him from fucking your undergarments (I hate the world panties and we use the word undies in Australia, so argue with a wall, also it's the 1800s) and putting them back like nothing happened your dead wrong.
Then there's the brothel (let's all ignore the existence of STI/Ds please and thank you). After a particularly hard and restless day of trying not to fuck you like an animal bent over the closest surface he can find or hell even the floor, Eli is forced to look elsewhere. He'll take a nice stroll down to the brothel, there he'll find whichever worker looks the most like you
(Also I just want to say sex workers deserve respect. fun fact sex workers in the wild west were often quite rich and would build a lot of the infrastructure of a town, that was why prostitution was outlawed to stop them from gaining a lot of money.)
He'll imagine fucking you the entire time, and will definitely cry out your name throughout the entire thing. The first few times he got the worker to say things like how much you loved him and how you would let him take care of you, but the voice didn't match up so since then the only sound that can be heard is his grunts and moans, and your name being cried out. The worker doesn't mind, they get paid well with all the money Eli stole from the other patrons at the bar.
And this was all before he got turned.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A = Affection (How do they show their love and affection?)
Oh boy. If there is one thing that defines Eli, it's the length he would go to show you affection. Quite a large part of this is his belief that it is right and proper for a man to provide for those they love. While Eli didn't have a very good childhood, he did have a good father. A strong and devout man who would do anything for his family (even get killed). So this idea of providing for someone was heavily ingrained into Eli from a young age.
However, he missed the lesson about right and wrong. I spoke before about his criminal ways, most of which he keeps hidden away from you. But he will use his skills to pinch small shiny trinkets to place just outside your window when you get mad at him. Blackmail to make sure you are crowned Autumn harvest Queen/King, and his disregard for personal property when he rips pretty flowers from Mrs Colton's garden to give you when you came running to tell him you were to be crowned the Autumn Harvest King/Queen.
Did you hear Eli! Can you believe it? Me!
Of course I believe it, sweetpea! How could they choose anyone else?
And that's not even getting into the amount of physical affection he gives you. Kisses on cheeks, surprise hugs from behind, playing with your hair as you lay along the bank of the river and all the while oblivious you thinking that's just what friends do.
B = Blood (How messy are they willing to get when it comes to you?)
man oh man, you have no idea. Before the change, Eli was already a violent man. Constantly picking fights with anyone who got in his way. Most of the time there wasn't even a good reason for him to break jaws or noses. He just wanted a fight. But if he needed to defend you? If you were threatened in some way? It would be a bloodbath. He would have either just gone straight for his revolver or if he knew he could win, his bare hands would do. Thankfully there had never been a reason for him to defend you. You would never be seen in the areas where Eli lurked looking for trouble, and those you were in the company of were good God-fearing folk.
But after his change? Even a man looking at you for too long would cause him to snap. Not only was he more aggressive now, but he was also a downright predator. Before the change, he would have just started the fight then and there. But now? He would watch and wait, stalk his prey until the opportune moment to strike. These moments were often along dark alleyways or narrow pathways along the outskirts of town. His favourite moments to attack were out on the plains, that way he could take as long as he wanted and didn't have to worry about anyone hearing the screams.
C = Cruelty (How would they treat you? Would they mock/tease you?)
Eli is definitely someone who would tease, but not mock. He's not a very cruel person, at least to you. To you, he is the almost perfect gentleman. Almost, because he looks through his fingers when you ask him to cover his eyes when you get changed down by the river. But other than his less-than-savoruy ways, he truly is a gentleman to you. He is kind and sweet, always pushes in your chair, opens doors, and pays for anything you buy when you go out together. He definitely teases though. He will tease you about anything, what and how you say things, what your wearing, how you act around people
Careful darling, keep acting like that and that boy is gonna think he has a chance at the heaven between your legs
Aw, come on sweetheart! I'm only telling the truth! It's not my fault boys like him are dimwits who think they have a chance. We both know he's never gonna get between your legs. You're too good for a man like that, I mean you're as pretty as a Georgia peach and twice as sweet!
Pretty much all the time his teasing could be called flirting. Which it is, he is flirting with you. Unfortunately for him, you've been friends for so long that you've just decided that it's just his way of being friends.
That is the extent of his cruelty with you, sometimes he does take it further but that's for another time. On the other hand, his cruelty to others has no limit. I mentioned above he enjoys when he can take his time with those he kills. I won't say much, but I will say he is pretty handy with a knife.
D = Darling (Would they do anything against your will?)
Fuck no, not outright forcing you to do things. I mentioned previously he had a good father figure and that was the first thing his father ever taught him. Real men don't force themselves on others. But let's be real this is the 1800s and consent wasn't as black and white as it is/should be today. While a maybe isn't a yes today, telling him maybe is like giving him a free pass. And I don't exclusively mean sexual or intimate things. It can be as simple as jumping from the rope swing by the creek or sneaking out with him to much much bigger things. I mentioned before he doesn't mind manipulating you to get what he wants from you.
However!!!!!! As soon as a no or a stop leaves your mouth he is stopping instantly. He takes his pleasure in being able to make you say yes of your own accord, not forcing it.
I think there are instances when he might manhandle you a bit to rein you in but they are when he is at the end of his rope and has run out of patience.
E = Exposed (How much of their heart do they bare to you? How vulnerable are they when it comes to you?)
Eli acts like a very confident and arrogant person, which he is, but there is sadness within him on the act of his childhood. You know hardly anything. He refuses to tell you anything other than the very basics and even then he has shifted than a bit. It is the 1800s so anything seen as a weakness in emotion is looked down upon. Although Eli knows you wouldn't do that to him but it is so ingrained in him that it would be many more years before the whole story is revealed.
F = Fight (How would they feel if you fought them?)
Physically? He would just laugh. Even before his change, this man was working as a ranchhand and stockman. He has spent years working hard and fighting anything that looked his way. So when play fighting began it wasn't long before you were calling for mercy, although he often pretends to not hear you so he could spend a few more moments pressed up tight against your ass and hands gripped tightly round your waist or chest. You always get mad that he keeps his switchblade in his pocket when you wrestle (it isn't his pocket knife). After the change, there was no question he would win, even if you threatened him with a gun or knife that the same laugh would come through and you would know that you were in for a long night.
G = Game (How much of this is a game to them?)
This man's whole life is one big game. He is constantly looking for ways to joke around and have some fun but don't be mistaken. He may tease and cause mischief but this man can switch between fun and games to a steal-hearted killer in a moment. It all depends on who he is dealing with.
H = Hell (What would be your worst experience with them?)
I have some things in the works regarding this, but one that sticks out is the moment you realise that he isn't the same Eli you knew and loved and that there was no way for him to change back. It would involve lotta blood and gore and the crumbling realisation that you might never have known Eli at all.
I = Ideals (What kind of future do they have in mind for/with you?)
Eli has it all mapped out. A fancy homestead on a hill with white shutters and pretty blue doors. A few 80 acres for some steers and some mares. A pretty garden out the front for you and a large red barn for him (filled with chains and shackles). He wants enough room for all the kids he plans to have (he has yet to ask you how many if you want any at all). He wants you to name them all, he thinks it's only fair since he's gonna change your last name (oh how gentlemanly). He really just wants what was taken from him when he was a child. This time is gonna be different though, this time he will be strong enough to protect his family (like his father should have been)
J = Jealousy (Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?)
Oh yeah, this boy gets jealous. I went into it a bit above. After the change, it really only takes someone looking at you wrong to set him off. He'll stalk them all the way to their home, and just before they set foot on their property he's dragging them off into the wilds for a quick lesson in manners.
K = Kisses (How do they act around you?)
He is constantly checking you out. Always watch what you're doing and offering to help in any way. Teases like it's his fucking job. Joking around about how your father hasn't married you off yet (never gonna fucking happen, there's a reason your father doesn't ask suitors over anymore) and if both of you are still without spouses by a certain age you should just marry each other (wow so subtle)
I think it's a great idea sweet cheeks. I mean think about it! We're already the best of friends, why can't we just be the best of friend's in our marital bed!
ow! No need to hit so hard darling, if you wanted me to get on my knees you only had to ask.
L = Love letters (How would they go about courting or approaching you?)
This man has been courting you since day one, you are just too much of an oblivious idiot to see it. I have said this before and I'll keep saying it until the cows come home, this man would steal the crown jewels for you. He's been leaving you trinkets outside your window for years now, sometimes wildflowers and sometimes whole clothing he's nabbed from someone's laundry line.
Oh, how you wound me, darling! Refusing to try on the fruits of my hard labour! Come on sweetheart, for me? I promise I won't peek.
He definitely peeks and has to excuse himself to take care of a situation behind the stables.
M = Mask (Are their true colours drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?)
Oh yeah, I think I've explained it enough so I won't go too in-depth but it's really night and day. You get all the best of Eli, all his kindness and love. Those who aren't so lucky get the worst.
N = Naughty (How would they punish you?)
*good girl/boy is used*
Not physically, unless you did something he really didn't like, but in small (toxic) ways. You no longer get little trinkets outside your window, he isn't waiting at the river for you and he won't talk to you when you do see him. He acts like you don't exist. After a few days of this torture, it's too much for you. You've been crying yourself to sleep and you can't take any more. You sneak out in the middle of the night to confront him. As soon as you see him you burst into tears. All he does is take you in his arms and slowly pat your back.
Have you learned your lesson now sweet pea? No more talking with that boy, alright? We don't want him getting ideas do we peaches? Good girl/boy
Oh my goodness I nearly forgot!! This man would have a thing for spanking you. I mean you bent over his knees with his hands all over that ass? Say no more. But I think this would only come in when you do something that could have ended in you getting hurt.
I thought I told you to never do that without me, darling. Stop your crying now, there's no way you're getting out of this one. So be a good girl/boy for once and do as your told
O = Oppression (How many rights would they take away from you?)
*primarily female reader*
Welp, it's the 1800s so if you're a woman (or really anyone other than a white man) boy do I have some bad news for you. Can't really take away rights you don't have. If he were to take rights away, it would all be legal in the sense that as your husband (it was bound to happen really) he really has the last say. So if you try and make a run for it, you'll just be sent right back. On the other hand, it could be a lot worse for you. It just wasn't a great time to be a woman in America (or anywhere really).
P = Patience (How patient are they with you?)
For you? He has all the time in the world. He is more than happy to partake in anything that takes your fancy, even if it may be seen as annoying by others or something seemingly pointless like showing him a rock you found. When it relates to you it's the most important thing in the world. However, put yourself in harm's way or god forbid flirt with another man, things will hit the fan. Not towards you though, no his anger is directly targeted at the fucker who thinks it's ok to flirt with another man's claim.
Q = Quit (If you die or leave would they ever be able to move on?)
Nope, no, never. If you die then that's it, game over. He'll probably mourn for you in the wildness of the north in some forest thousands of miles away from anything that reminds him of you. If you leave???? It doesn't matter if you went to the ends of the earth and back, Eli will drag you back kicking and screaming right back to where you belong, underneath beside him.
All in all, it's you or nothing.
R = Regret (Would they ever feel guilty about abducting you? Would they ever let you go?)
Can't really get into this yet, but I think a very very very small part of him would feel guilt but the majority of him is just overjoyed to have you as his, finally.
S = Stigma (What brought about this side of them [childhood, curiosity, etc]?)
Oh, definitely childhood but that's another story for another day.
T = Tears (How do they feel about seeing you scream, cry, and/or isolate yourself?)
It depends on what type of crying. I think some light tears would result in some teasing.
Come on peaches am I really that bad? Here I thought you liked me. You sure seemed to like me last night. How bout we stop these tears and have some fun?
but ugly sobbing? That's a different story. He is a true protector at heart so it would cause some emotional damage to him. Although it does give him a good excuse to get close to you.
Screaming? He would find it a bit silly and ridiculous. You've known each other for years so this is no way friends act around each other. This is where I see the manhandling come into effect
Is this really how your gonna act? Like a child? I think your way past acting like that at your age. But If I need to put you in your place, so be it
Isolating yourself? How? this man is in your business 24/7. You can't even try to ignore him, he's just so annoying
U = Unique (Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?)
I can't really think of anything at this stage. There are so many good writers out there with all their own little quirks added into their writing so I really don't know how Eli differs. If I had to make a choice, it would be that his yandere tendencies aren't really acted upon you but onto those around you. if that makes sense? If he never turned, you might never have known how willing to kill for you he was.
V = Vice (What weakness can you exploit in order to escape?)
Lust for sure! This man has wanted to fuck you for years. He's so horny for you, he couldn't see a trap being laid from a mile away.
Well, would you look at that! Ain't that a pretty sight! And all for me? you spoil me, darling!
(flashforward to him being knocked out by a wile e. coyote-looking trap with his pants around his ankles)
W = Wit’s end (Would they ever physically hurt you?)
Not in an extreme sense but a little punishment for trying to do something dangerous he told you to never ever do? Oh yeah. You'll be bent over his knee quicker than you can say I'm sorry.
X = Xoanon (How much would they revere or worship you? To what length would they go to win you over?)
This man worships the hell out of you. You were the first person to show him kindness after his tragic childhood. Since then you are the apple of his eye. He would do anything for you, no questions asked. You tell him some people have been rude to you, and he'll ask how many graves he needs to dig. Moreover, your body? His temple. That place between your legs? The altar on which he worships you. This man is a simp.
Y = Yearn (How long do they pine after you before they snap?)
This one is quite tricky. If he never turned, I think he might have never really "snapped". I think he would have eventually told you what he really felt and it would have been a happily ever after situation - he had actually planned on telling you before he left for mustering but talked himself out of it. But with him changing everything went downhill, all the raw emotions he had were multiplied and the love he had before exploded into obsession. If we are looking at it as a before and after sorta thing, as soon as he changed he snapped. He had been pining after you for years and now all those emotions, which were strong already, became tenfold.
Z = Zenith (Would they ever break you?)
Break in a physical way? No.
In a mental way? Never, your personality is the one thing he loves the most about you - that and your thighs.
In an emotional way? Oh yeah, he's gonna wear you down until you can't find the strength to say no to the ring he's placing on your finger.

hey sangsang I just wanted to put this out there and see what your thoughts are on how lwj and wwx are both highly ideal characters. and sometimes I feel like, while logically I know no one is perfect in real life and these are fictional characters, I’ll never be as good?? Now I know this is all me and my own personal issues talking here don’t get me wrong, but are we supposed to strive to be as morally upstanding as them, even though as real people we can never be good in the same way? I know that at some points they do both make mistakes, but it feels different in somehow? I suppose because as characters they have clearly defined arcs that are just messy irl and we often don’t get those clear defined endings. Anyway I’m just kind of throwing thoughts out there but this has been bugging me a little lately and I wanted to hear another opinion. Hope you’re having a good day<3
I don't see why we shouldn't seek to follow their example. I don't think it's beyond us to do so. I know it seems very daunting given their examples, especially since as you said they have the benefit of a tightly controlled narrative and we just get our one messy strange life to live.
But the biggest examples of what they do that changes so much are really very simple to implement. They both speak up when they disagrees with what someone is saying, coming to the defense of those who do not necessarily have the position to push back themselves. They are both kind to everyone, even those who have hurt them, without letting people just walk all over it. They still set boundaries and do not continue to let people hurt them and each other without regard, but when offered a chance between cruelty and kindness, they both choose to be kind.
And I won't like and say that it's easy to act that way every time. I strive in my own life to be kind first. But sometimes I cannot do it. Sometimes I snap at people, or I withdraw and shut them out. Sometimes even I get in arguments with everyone. But I try to remain aware of why I am acting the way I do.
And I take the time and energy to try and be kind where I can. I reach out to people. I help where I can. I do not sacrifice my entire self, but in the end the cost to take the time and ask how someone is doing and mean it is rewarded by what I get back from it. I want to make being around me a positive experience. I want to leave the places I go better than I found them.
Anon, do not try to push yourself beyond your means for an ideal. Bright stars burn out when they push too hard. But that doesn't mean do not strive in what ways you can. If what you can do is to thank the next person who steps aside when the both of you are walking on the sidewalk, look at them and thank them. If you go to the grocery store and someone helps you, be grateful. Find the things to enjoy in your day and enjoy them. Leave a nice comment in someone's inbox, tell someone what they liked about their fic.
These things may not seem huge, but keep in mind that Wei Wuxian's act of kindness towards Wen Ning was quite small as well, compared to what he does later. But for Wen Ning it meant so much. Someone took the time to come and complement him, was not ashamed when he was not yet able to match what Wei Wuxian said. Without that kind action, things would have been very different.
Who knows what good can come from being kind? In the moment it could be a smile. In the long run it could literally change a life.
I hope this helps you a little bit. And I want to implore also that you are not excluded from this kindness. I am working on my own self esteem by being kind to myself. Today I did not feel the strength to cook, so I ordered a sandwich. I am being kind to myself and not punishing myself for being tired, but making sure that I still get good nourishment and an enjoyable experience. We all need that care too.
I'm happy you stopped by, anon. Come say hi again! My inbox is always open.
#mdzs#wei wuxian#lan wangji#i will not say it costs nothing to be kind#what I will say is that so far it has been worth it every time#asks#anon#anon asks

Hi momdad! I have a question. I’ve seen a bunch of post on your blog and others about purity culture and cancel culture and just general online bullying and it’s made me very scared to post things or interact with people in fandoms online.
I’d pretty much stopped participating in online fandoms 5-6 years ago do to physical and mental illness and I’m really wanting to write fics and draw fanart (I blame you for my current hyperfixation on The Untamed and MXTX’s books. THANK YOU SO MUCH!❤️) but I’m too scared to post anything for fear that people will get mad at me.
I loved being in fandom in the past. But with the current climate is it even worth it?
hello, dear! i completely understand why you have these worries.
ideally, i'd tell you that you have nothing to worry about whatsoever and everyone will always be nice and encouraging, but of course i can't promise that. but i can at least say that i've published four fics in the last couple years, to a relatively large audience here, and i was blown away by how supportive people were. i didn't get any hate at all.
there ARE people who just live to be mean and critical, but they're by no means the majority in fandom spaces. most people who consume fic and art are happy and excited to see new content, and most who see something that they don't like or doesn't agree with them understand that they need to just keep scrolling instead of being hateful.
it can get a bit trickier if you want to post darker, more controversial subjects in your work, such as incest, underage relationships, rape, suicide, abuse, and so on. i believe that you have every right to explore dark content in your work, whether it's to cope with your own issues or literally just because you feel like it, but that's the stuff that tends to draw the most ire from the purity/cancel culture types.
so if you want to publish any that deals with heavy/trigger-y topics (at least, ones that aren't canon-typical; everyone who reads MDZS fic expects there to be some stuff about death and necromancy), i would probably recommend that you start by building up your confidence with lighter content first. it's definitely less nerve-wracking to post stuff that almost no one could find offensive.
but if you're not into dark stuff at all, you're like, "i just want to write about lwj and wwx kissing," then i wouldn't worry too much about it, honestly. if it's a popular pairing in a well-established fandom, you're likely to get almost entirely positive feedback. probably your biggest problem might be just getting lost among the crowd, not getting picked on.
i know it's scary to think about a horde of morality police descending on your work and cruelly picking it apart, but those people are a loud minority, not the standard. most fandom content consumers are kind and supportive, and getting positive feedback on your work feels wonderful.
it really sucks when people get mad at you, believe me i know, but if we let the fear of people getting mad at us paralyze us into never taking any risks, we'll end up with a lifetime of regrets over all the things we were too scared to do and be. we have to step out and take a chance on being vulnerable in order to gain the rewards of acceptance. and to be an adult, we have to learn how to deal with someone getting mad at us without falling apart.
if you're interested, i have a drawing tag, writing tag, and ao3 tag that have advice and useful info for creating and posting fanworks. creating is good for you and good for the world, so practice, face your fear, and click 'publish'. you can do it. đź‘Ť

My headcannon is Coyote is Mexican American due to the fact that Coyotes are an important animal in Mexican and Chicano iconography. I have this idea that he was an a foster kid and practically had to rely on himself being shuffled around while everyone took him as a lost cause or something when he was a teenager and disillusioned with life. I also think he somehow got mutated as an adult interacting with nuclear stuff either as a worker or maybe a gang leader who he and his gang got involved.
I see him as a leader because Miss Heed's Instagram mentioned his lackeys which implies he has a gang following him even though after he's forced into being Heed's slave they practically don't show up except in a miss it shot in "Heedous Heart". I just think he has those sleeves cut off for aesthetic.
Also that part of "Talking To The Bulls" and him hitting his minion for making a smart comment would be funny. I like to think he's attached to his gang (even if they can in my headcanon dumb or incompetent at times) due to the fact he grew up without a family since he was a kid and they are the closest thing yet. I also like to think he can also slap them if they do stupid stuff like you said. And also I think they would be confused why he would still want anything to do with heroes after what happened with Heed controlling him as a slave for a year and force him to play nice with his archnemeses. And now he's friendly (and eventually romantic) with his archenemy's sidekick who also is willing to be on friendly terms with him.
As you said she can use her powers to help repair their hideout, I like to think with her powers she can make them as fragile or hard as she wants. As a result, I do think doing this would make his minions/gang members trust her around. I like to think they either do pretend kidnappings when they want her to hang out with them or she sneaks around to meet with them when no one is looking. I like to think she believes that a hero should be able to do even nice stuff for villains. And again I think Coyote would separate the idea of being a hero and a good person mostly because he probably has seen many heroes act like asses and just be it for the glory. I like to think that Coyote would witness times Green Rod does stuff and there will be no reward but the notion she's helped someone in need.
Translation:
Name: Brian Z. RomeroÂ
Classification: VillainÂ
Status:Â Under ObservationÂ
Abilities: Radiation PowersÂ
Notes: Nuclear zombie that absorbs large amounts of radioactivity in order to stay alive. That is why he is constantly attracted to Atom City and his archenemy the hero Omega Nuclear.
One thing I think she could do at one point is if Coyote and his gang are not getting enough nuclear power to sustain themselves and she sees how close they are to dying she produces as much green rods for them absorb because she refuses to let someone die (even if they are a villain) and again she goes to find out their condition and tries to give them as much energy to keep them alive if she's around. And it would cement Coyote's respect and love for her in his mind because no one outside his gang has ever cared for him at this level and been so sacrificial (especially one who is on the opposite side of him morality).
hey so i just had a thought about your "Love Theme For Coyote And Green Rod" what if coyote sang meatloaf's "i would do anything for love", it can be used for things like, a confession of love, a symbolic victory/F.U to heed, and as embarrassed as it might be sang it in front of an audience where green rod was in the crowd. just a thought.
youtube
I like all of the above, especially the middle one of giving a big middle finger to Heed. In my eyes I really do think with Green Rod there is a contrast between his relationship with and Heed. Mostly because while Heed forced him to be her unwillingly slave in love he would willingly do anything for Green Rod even if she's a legit hero at heart. And seriously, I really think he would so go out singing a rock power ballad if he was that gutsy to so despite him probably saying he wouldn't dare do that because as the song says he would do anything in love including sing publicly in front of an audience. Also I could totally see it being a stealth confession of love that would be something everyone would paid attention to them would catch on and she would take it as a definite confirmation her feelings are returned. And for some reason I love to think Metauro would be totally supporting Coyote to serenade Green Rod with his preferred song/genre of choice which at first he rejects then as you can see he gets on board because the power of love can and will compel you to do things you do not usually do.
