dug too deep into my past and "accidentally" found my old bffs new tumblr
#shes doing okay i think#its so hard being friends with people when you are young#b/c you are so bad at being empathetic in real ways#like we were close and we got each other through some times#but i dont think either of us knew enough about ourselves to really be authentic with each other#i fumbled my way through my teens. half formed and scared to show it#and then we both went through some trauma in our early 20s#and for me at least. it made me withdraw from everything#miss her though#i will forever be grateful that two queer ace girls found each other in hs#so we felt less alone#even if it didnt prevent the pain that was to come. it meant something that we had each other at the time#happy 3 am

Monsta X (Shownu) hybrid au
Part1 / Part2 / Part3 / Part4 / Part5 / Part6 / Part7 / Part8 /…
A/N: I know a lot of you like these series and I am taking too long with them. I am sorry, I just have to juggle university and this. I am still getting used to my program ,but I will try my best to find time to work on stories as well. For now texts and Shownu/Wonho scenarios will be my main. Sorry for any mistakes made and I hope you like this.
Word count: 2,909
Warnings: I mean ,just normal 21 century teen cussing
——————————————–
(I suggest you to listen to THIS as you read the chapter, thank you and enjoy)
It had been already a full day since Shownu left in a hurry. You were beginning to get worried with each passing hour. The same way the sun rose, it started to set, without the familiar body frame walking around the house, or casting the usual shadow over you ,as you focused on your work. No matter how much you wanted to finish what you had planned for the day, it just wasn’t going to happen. Your mind was occupied by the empty feeling in the house and inside your heart.
Your thoughts were drifting from darker to darker places, as you bit down on your finger nervously. “Where is he?” you fumbled around the pen in between your fingers. “Should I look for him?” a swift motion of your feet took you to the window again. It was the 15th time in the passed hour that you were staring outside, hoping he would come back home any minute. The previous night you left the window open just in case he returned, but in the morning to your disbelieve the bed was cold and empty.
4pm came and went, then 5 rolled up , 6 followed fast and 7 didn’t want to be left behind by its siblings, so it greeted you soon enough on the lit up phone screen. You were restless, tired and scared. He was strong, no doubt in that but somehow you kept forgetting that about him. Even if he was a hybrid or werewolf, to you he was just a confused tall ball of fluff that should have staid home. What if he is in danger! What if he is hurt.....what....what if he never comes home. The thought of him leaving was the last drop in the glass. It didn’t spill, on the contrary, it broke into millions of pieces representing all the different scary ideas you had.
Putting on as many warm clothes as you could, you armed yourself with motivation to search for him, even if it meant days or unbelievable distances. The doorknob didn’t turn in your hand, as you remembered the howling winds. He left almost naked, I need to get him something! In a old backpack you hadn’t used in a long time , you put some of his clothes. Ready for a hunt, you ran out the apartment and into the cold winter storm. The moon was once more looking at you gently, trying to illuminate the path to your man.
The streets were surprisingly full taking into consideration the temperature and the over all wind speed. You were walking fast and fierce through the piled up snow, blocking the wind with your arm in front of your face. It was all or nothing.
8:30 pm waved at you from the city clock and you still weren’t successful in your search, not to mention nowhere near to that. Where could he have gone!? I looked everywhere! But you actually hadn’t. Your feet could take you only so far. He traveled with the speed of an unhuman animal and you walking like a baby compared to him. He could be in the Maldives at this point. Your body hit the wall of an alleyway, while you were hiding from the storm. The sound of the wind was muffling your deep breaths and blowing away the mist coming from in between your lips. You began to tremble, was it the cold or your aching heart? I am such an idiot! you felt the soft material of your mittens covering your eyes, as tears started to form and cool down your face. Why did I have to react like THAT! I should have just stayed calm and...and not done that. The feelings were strong and bubbling out of you. Your hands pulled away from your wet and red face and wrapped around yourself. What wouldn’t I give to hug him, to have him hug me right now. To say how sorry I am for making him misunderstand the whole thing. Your foot hit the ground aggressively a couple of times imitating a childish tantrum.
Your behavior didn’t mirror your outside manners at all. You were an independent woman in all areas of your life. You wanted to feel safe, so you worked to have enough money to achieve that. Here you were though, alone in a dirty and dark alleyway, crying your eyes out begging to be treated like a child. Being strong takes you only that far. He was stronger, bigger and scarier than you, but the feeling of comfort and safety you felt being in his arms. Like a blanket that covered you, hiding your innocents, letting you be as childlike as you wanted without being judged, called weak or even treated as pray by other men.
Your head hit the brick wall behind you, as you aggressively exhaled that air trapped in your throat by the waterfall of tears. A shiver went down your body as you tried to pull yourself and your emotions together. Usually it wasn’t something too difficult for you, but right now, in this very moment it was proving to be a challenge. Where are you! like a spell the words summoned the tears again, stronger than before. .....please..... the mittens were soaking up the emotions off your skin as best as they could. Your skin was red from all the rubbing. Everything was a big blurr in front of your eyes and inside. A mess simply said, waves of calmness and then sudden uproar or crying and begging. Had you ever been in such a state before, not to mention for a men you have known for not that long. I will be better I promise! We will go out more and and I will make you whatever you wanted to eat! Yes! And and....just come home pleaseeee, I need you. There was no amount of hitting or screaming that would change this.
You were tired, no more tears just the trails left by them on your skin. Yet even they were cooling off like your heart and drying up by the cold wind finding its way in the tight alleyway. Calm and controlled, your heart beat followed your breathing ,while you were looking around the dirt and rocks around you on the ground. This stage was emptiness, no feeling, no care, just existence. I don’t want this to be true, I don’t want to accept that this isn’t going to change. I can...if i try harder. a hit of energy jolted you in a matter of seconds, maybe hope or denial Yes! If-if I try harder I can do this! hard work payed off for you so far many times, why not now?Yet your jaw clenched and your lip began trembling again NO! I am strong, hey! your hands slapped the irritated skin on your face I got myself from nothing to something! I just have to be strong, for both of us! Even!...even if he doesn’t want me anymore. Once more your emotions were somewhat under control. Closing your eyes you took a deep breath ,when it hitched, taking in a few gasps before it stops in your lungs, filling them only half way. As your body took in the cold oxygen, your cheek warmed up with a sliding motion towards your ear.
“You don’t have to be strong always.” even with closed eyes you knew, you felt it in your soul. Your arms trembled towards his and you grasped it firmly, tears streaming down again and again. “Why are you crying?” one hand turned into two as he cupped your cheeks
“I- I am not, I am too strong for that!” you tired to prove an unexisting point
“No you are not, you are acting. You have been hurt one too many times and now this is just a character you created to fool yourself and others. I can feel it.” his face came closer to yours till you felt his lips leaving a few butterfly kisses under and onto your eyes, cleaning the tears “Look at me.”
“No no!” you shook your head aggressively to the point where he had to keep you still “If-if I do that you will disappear. You have to be a figment of my imagination, there is no other way you co-” your lips and cheeks squished back as he pushed his face into yours. Lips onto lips, molding into strange, soft shapes that oddly fit together like an infinite puzzle. As slow and gentle as he could, he pulled away letting the warm vapor of his breath mix in with yours.
“Be vulnerable around me, stop pretending to be strong even in situations where you are breaking. Let me be your shield. If you don’t want people to see you crying, grab onto me, hide in my chest. I promise you, I will always wrap my arms around you and keep you safe.” his words turned into reality as he pulled you in. The hug was strong, but it covered you up away from the world. In a matter of seconds the mask on your soul began to crack, the harder and the closer you got to him, the bigger the cracks got till it...broke. Your brows frowned and your fingers clawed at his clothes, your face buried into his chest as your screams filled the alley.
“It’s ok, let it all out.” unknown time passed before you pulled back to look at him. It was Shownu, it was your Nunu. His thumb wiped under your left eye closing it for a second. “See? I am still here. I didn’t disappear.”
“How did you know?! How did you know I was here.”
“I know silly.” his usually stoic face lifted the corners of his lips up towards the moon into a gentle and comforting smile, before he lead forward and placed his forehead onto yours. Closing his eyes, he didn’t speak only his thoughts could be heard. I will always know where you are, I will always hear you through your thoughts. When you call me, wherever it is I promise to come to you. I will pay the price of hurting you with loyalty that i will take with me even beyond the grave. Shownu’s eyes fell onto the slight cut on top of your lip.
“Can we go home?” your voice was still showing signs of the emotional rollercoaster you went through
“Yes, we can.” Shownu looked around, hooking his arms under your body picking you up gently, as if trying not to hurt you. “Let’s go.” it felt like the air around you threw you up in the air. Flying, yes that was the right word to use in this situation. You were gripping onto him, when his hand pulled away from your head and he let go. You panicked, so high up and not being held by the only thing keeping you alive.
“DON’T PANIC! I GOT YOU!” he yelled out with a soft and calm voice underneath you, reassuring you to trust him “OPEN YOUR EYES!”
Your body stopped midair for more than enough time for you to come face to face with the shining moon. Like a pearl in the sky. It was reflecting in your eyes, turning your irises into silver crystals. You couldn’t say anything, but it felt like the light itself was whispering to you. Reaching out towards it, you began falling down. The night had hypnotized you to a point where you had forgotten the sheer height you were at. Shownu caught you just on time, intertwining his fingers with those on your extended hand.
“Do you regret trusting me on this one?” he asked softly with a hint of accomplishment hidden between his words, yet you kept staring at the moon
“No...” it came out gentle, like a whisper from between your lips. You couldn’t stop your gaze from following the body in the sky. Shownu’s hand carefully pulled your head into his chest, to cover you from the harsh cold wind nibbling at your skin.
“Shownu I can’t see anything. “ you struggled to look anywhere but his body
“I can take you on a night time run when summer and spring come around, it’s too cold now.” you pouted under your nose so verbally that he felt it. Letting a sigh out, he repositioned you on impact as he jumped off a near by rooftop “Look around then.”
“Oh wow...” your voice had become breathy as you did what he suggested. The speed at which he was moving made the snow beneath you look like thousands of diamonds glistening in the moonlight. One could almost identify them as a huge sea of stars or white sand, giving the over all chilly winter a warm summery energy. Shownu was big and keeping you very warm, making you forget all out the biting storm that was howling over the walking people. At this height it felt more like a song of a seasonal fairy, telling her goodnight story to all the sleeping under the snow plants, covered by the the blanket of the sky.
One could easily see what most old school authors saw in this cold times, like living in a book from times past. The night began so rough, but ended so warm and comforting. You gaze shifted from the astonishing land to the man gifting you all these new memories. His strong neck, grabbing onto his firm and sharp jawline, as his eyes shined in a deep rich golden color and tensing under you with each long jump. It felt like he brought with himself not only love and safety but also the gift of flight and a whole new world.
The window of your apartment shined in your eyes “Shownu, I closed the window.” he looked down at you, changing the strategy in his head to that of a normal human. He landed behind the building so no one would see or notice you guys coming from literally the sky. Putting you down gently, you fixed your clothes and tried to find your footing in the deep snow. Instinctively you reached out and grabbed onto him.
“You finally leaned onto me.”
“What?” looking up you saw the shadow oh his face and moon forming a halo above him
“Till now you tried to find your way through the snow on your own, falling and getting up. This is the first time you reached out to me for help.”
Your eyes were met with a smile, but you didn’t know how to react as this was something you weren’t used to.“Let’s go inside, it’s cold.” he smirked at your sudden panicked answer, but took it as a small victory.
Rustling through your bag you pulled out the keys and were lucky enough to find the elevator already on the 1st floor. In a hurry you got in, rubbing your arms up and down to warm them.
“Are you feeling cold?” once Shownu let go of you, you remembered how cold it actually was
“Aren’t you freezing?” you looked him up and down “You are dressed so lightly, come to think of it ,how do you have clothes on?!”
“I took some with me, can’t go running around naked in my human form.” well it did make sense, but now the backpack you had on served no purpose “You are shivering.”
“I am fine.” the boy was like a damn radiator even without all the fur covering his nonhuman form
“No you are not.” he leaned down nuzzling into your neck, making you step back till your body hit the wall of the elevator “You are freezing.”
“S-shownu w-what are you doing?!” you gasped at the warm skin of his, sucking away the cold in the area of your neck. His hands pushed against the wall, trapping you between himself.
“I am checking if you are cold since you keep lying to me about it.” his nose was rubbing against you, sending all kinds of sensations down your spine and body
The elevator came to a stop at your floor, but the doors revealed our lovely nosey neighbor and her obsession with Shownu.
“Oh my hahaha.” she gasped and started laughing, as he she hid her eyes behind her spread fingers. She didn’t want to miss any juicy details to tell her husband and family about later “Oh you young kids these days! So wild.”
“It’s not what it looks like!” you panicked even though you yourself didn’t know what it was. Shownu looked at the neighbor innocently as you grabbed him and pulled his large frame out of the elevator. As the woman stepped in, she slapped his shoulder gently, giggling “ Be more direct boy, she doesn’t seem to notice you making a move on her. Go get her tiger.” the doors closed and the ding sound send her upstairs to her meeting with the other middle aged wives of the building. We all know what todays topic will be.
“Come in.” you were holding the door to your apartment open. “Don’t just stay there.” Shownu ran up to you and stepped inside. “Welcome home.” you said taking all your thick clothes off and throwing them on the couch.
He staid still for a moment before he said “I am...home.” his hand slid behind him as it closed the door, not even taking his eyes off you, lovingly.

I Just Move Things
Whilst looking through luthors drives the league find a new metahuman who is to powerfull for her own good.
Masterlist
Warnings: swearing
A/n:So this is a new series of imagines with Justice league/ teen reader obviously no smut but fluff angst and everything in between i know that the pic is starlight but that’s there more for the eyes.
(not my gif/pic)
I Just Move Things
"Seriously this girl, shes incredible, Lex didn’t have much on her he only just got the footage a day or so before the whole supes vs bat thing but we are soo lucky she wasn't involved, if she uses her head she could probably wipe all of us out, we need to get here to join" Barry was giddy as he started gushing over the new mysterious metahuman who was a prime candidate for the justice league. Arthur sighed crossing his arms
"Oh really? I'm sorry but I don't see how that tiny thing could do much damage wheres her weapon?" He said unconvinced Bruce and Clark agreed somewhat looking at the photo victor had pulled up on the screen a girl who looked around sixteen sitting at a table outside a Starbucks reading a book, she looked like a typical teenager, no muscle definition to her small form, so obviously had no combat training she looked like a regular man could snap her in two, easy to over power. Victor sighed at them.
"Looks can be deceiving every thing you see in that photo is her weapon, the ground, the air, the glass in the window behind her even the chair she's sitting on she could use all of these to impale you if she wanted to ,its quite incredible watch her here look at this video." The clip was grainy showing the inside of a corner shop, she was standing by the counter blowing bubbles in her gum paying for a small bag of groceries when a man came in holding a gun screaming at the girl at the register who quickly turned around to the cash register fumbling trying to open the cash draw as he shouted pointing the gun at her making her scream and struggle even more. The teen in question moved only to be ordered to put both her hands on the counter, she did so but as soon as she did looked over her shoulder to the door blowing yet another bubble letting it pop she was very calm for a young girl who had a gun in her face she huffed took a deep breath you could see her eyes light up a little and the metal frame above the door caved in enough to hold it closed trapping them inside, neither of the others noticed to preoccupied quickly she slid a tin can into her hand and looked at the gun tilted her head to the side eyes flickering once again and the barrel caved in on itself looking like someone had pinched the end closing the hole completely making it useless, no bullets would be firing from the weapon the man when to scream confused but was struck in the temple by the can of beans dropping to the floor in a crumpled heap she kicked the gun away in case he got up. The cashier looked around crying in relief as she saw the thief had been knocked unconscious and with a quick look the metal frame quickly snapped back to its original state. She exchanged a few words with the girl who was now on the phone to the police nodding towards the security camera the surprised she looked up you could see her curse as she looked into the lenses a grim expression eyes flashing and the video cut off, she had broke it trying to cover herself. Silence washed over the group as they came to terms with what they saw. Clark was the first to break it
"That was, different she helped tho that is a good thing she wants to do good. To protect people" Bruce spoke up next
"She didn't take chances, but that ability, what she can do its not something to take lightly, we don't know the extent of it can she do other things?" The question was directed at victor who had been scouring the cities surveillance for her.
"I've caught her a few times on cctv doing things, she practices at night around Gotham docks. And its amazing to watch, so far from what I can tell its molecular based, solids liquids and gases. I've seen her change the shape of containers, fix broken glass, she can't fly but seems she has just started to make invisible platforms to stand on and climb and when she fell she managed to make the ground sort of turn sand like to make her fall softer and she doesn't even seem to do it consciously it just sort of happens once she got up it settled like water becoming regular concrete again. Where ever she got the gift it hasn't been long, she is still trying to control them, small things are easier, like the gun and the door, but the first time she made the invisible stairs she got a nosebleed and passed out I lost her for a few weeks but when I found her again she did it again, must have practiced somewhere else as she only got a little nose bleed and didn't pass out just got dizzy" Diana sat there contemplating
"So basically this incredible power is wrapped up in a hormonal teenager who doesn't know how to use it yet, she is still trying to figure out what she can and cant do? And no doubt soon will start testing her limits? Bruce we need to pull her in now we can't waste any time she could hurt herself or someone else" Barry nodded they all shared a look agreeing. Time to bring her in.
"Where is she?"
"She will be at the docks again tonight around nine o'clock, she has a pattern its like clock work, docks ,chemical factory and just recently started down under the main bridge towards Metropolis playing around with water". They nodded she seemed shy Clark showing up could scare her same with Diana, Barry wouldn't be a good idea he tended to fumble his words and Arthur was well Arthur. In the end it was decided Bruce would go do the talking, after all Gotham was his turf.
Well shit gonna be hard to explain this one.... you looked down sighing it was very typical tho well for you any way. You see you had a problem, or should you say gift, you could move things not just the whole abracadabra Matilda floating thing, you could move things on a molecular level..... like clay everything is clay. After practicing you now know that you can break down solids into teeny tiny grains like sand using it as sinking sand or putting it back together in a new shape and recently discovered you could pull all the teeny tiny molecules in the air together really tight it becomes an invisible force field type thingy like an instant piece of bullet proof glass, or like a platform to stand on . It was cool but difficult to control some things more then others, for instance solids where the molecules are pack tighter are easier to manipulate then water where they are all moving then air that was tricky they were fast and hard to control. And there was limitations you couldn't change anything living or growing, no plants, no animals and consequently no people. You cant heal people which you learned the hard way after cutting yourself for the sole purpose of sewing it back up nope didn't work and you wished you'd don't a shallower cut knowing it was going to leave a scar. Which sucks, but you can control the air in their lungs technically it wasn't apart of them. Loopholes, there is always a loophole. But you can fix things, like a crack phone screens burst pipes you just had to stretch things a bit or zip them up. Which brings us to this little mishap. How the fuck can you explain this, you had been trying to feel the air. You felt with your powers you liked to think of it as ripples you know like when you wave one hand under water you can feel the ripples hit the other? It was like that except you felt what the ripple hit. Kind of strange but that was the best you could come up with. So hear you was scratching your head looking at a half sunk boat, now you may be thinking boats sink all the time whats the problem?.... well normally boats sink in water not solid concrete, you had been trying to feel your ripples and pull the air below a small boat making it 'levitate' but lost your cool dropped the fucking thing panicked tried catching it and wham bam thank you ma'am boat is now half sticking out of the dock floor with a broken window. You looked up into the sky.
"Really? As if my life wasn't already a joke you gotta throw bad luck in the mix to?" You quickly closed your eyes willing the glass to reform feeling each the large pieces lift joining them selves back together slowly setting them back into the frame concentrating in 'zipping up' the seams at such a microscopic level no one would know any better. Once finished you opened your eyes, boat was still in the ground but the window was back in place. 'Yay go me' You smiled, you may not have achieved your goal of safely moving the boat but you did fix the window you broke. You sighed trying to pull the thing up again but stopped when you heard a large ominous crunching sound coming from the hull. You jumped growling pulling at you hair near your scalp.
"No no no no no this is not meant to happen just fucking move! Move up damn it!"
"Need some help?" You screamed jumping turning around as the ground flicked up around your feet creating a small knee high spikes pointing between you and Batman?. You took a step back quickly stomping the small barrier away
"Err no no I err just out for a nice stroll haha." He hummed unconvinced looking at the boat sticking out of the ground you followed his gaze chuckling nervously scratching at your chin
".....that was like that when I got here....... I mean you see some weird shit in Gotham huh?" He looked back at you.
"I already know about your gift, you can't control it yet?" You gasped taking another step back
"Gift? What gift nope no sir-y no gifts round here."
"So I didn't just watch you drop a boat into concrete and fix the window on it?" You blinked slowly at him then heaved a heavy sigh stuffing your hand in your pockets.
"Y-you saw that? Shit I didn't mean to, I promise its just hard and i just want to stop doing things on accident....then other accidents happen a vicious cycle really" You said waving over the little accident. He nodded
"I believe you, but you were panicking, concentrate try making it sand again then harden from the bottom push up like layers like your filling in a hole go from the bottom up" you looked at him a little shocked but nodded looking at the boat feeling around beneath it with your 'ripples' making the concrete go lax hearing the hiss of it as it became loose grains before pushing up hardening thin layers from the bottom finally bringing it to the surface. You smiled happy at fixing your problem. He smirked seeing you giddy from your achievement.
"Wow thank you that helped a lot I would have been here all night before figuring that out." He nodded
"Your welcome, I'm glad I found you, we have been watching you for a while, we would like to talk to you"
"We?" You asked not really understanding
"The Justice league, you have a strong ability that we think would be useful and we wanted to see if we can help you control it we can give you training in combat weapons and hand to hand which ever you prefer." You looked at him jaw hanging open
"Your joking? You've gotta be, I just move things not really worthy of being up there with you guys, but I don't want to be used then thrown away but thanks for the help" you said turning to walk away he frowned
"We wont please you can trust us" he said reaching out quickly holding an arm dragging you back a little making you gasp and jump he then winced hissing as a thin spike quickly pierced the side of his hand that held you, you panicked.
"OH MY GOD! I'm sorry I didn't mean to! it just happens when I get scared or startled!" You quickly pushed the spike down grabbing his hand and twisting it with trembling hands hope he didn't beat the shit out of you, you'd basically just attacked him.
"Erm please stay still there are a few bits in there" you said before pulling at the little pieces of debris from the small puncture hole, when you react on instinct it doesn't end up as put together as when you actively control things hence little bits falling off and such.
"Your powers are strong I don't think your fully aware of what your capable of crushing a gun with a look is just the start, just give us a chance trust us"You let go of him hugging yourself taking a step back you felt bad you didn't mean you stood looking down waiting to see if he was angry, he seemed more sympathetic.
"Its not that I don't trust you, fuck how can I not I'm just....scared, you don't know the things I've done.....I could accidentally kill one of you then what? Be hunted down by you guys? I'm not indestructible I'm human and I haven't got control of it.... I don't even know what it is.....but its probably about time I found out I suppose I just simplify it so I don't you know....loose my nerve, bad things happen when that happens , its always frightened me... if-if I did come with you what do you guys get out of helping me? There’s always a price" he regarded you carefully he could see the fear the uncertainty in your voice it made you seem younger ,smaller lost he could tell you wanted to find somewhere to go, to find a home base and people who understood a bit like Barry in that sense he sighed smiling softly before speaking.
"Hopefully a team mate, one day someone will come and pick another fight and when they do we need to be ready, to have people we can call on to help, your strong a lot stronger then you realize this gift it-its probably made you one of the strongest metahumans on the planet, even superman was a little concerned of encountering you that's why I'm here he chickened out." You giggled a little and he smiled relaxing, you were a good kid he could tell just scared and lost the league would be good for you give you direction.
"Really? I'm pretty sure I've got more reason to be wary of him" he smiled a little "The point is your strong and will only get stronger ,your still just learning about it we want help you, give you a safe place to learn how to control it, test your limits. Your a good kid I can see you want to help and we will give you the opportunities to do that." You nodded it did sound good, the chance to practice using this gift away from people, in a safe and controlled environment the only people around would be able to dodge and escape if things did go wrong you looked at your hands for a moment.
"...You'd really help me?"he nodded
"Not just you but we will also help protect those closest to you" you looked away
"Don’t have anyone." He stopped at that
"What? Your alone?" You shrugged nodding throwing your bag on your shoulder
"You mean family right? Don’t have one I told you bad things happen when I loose my control, I just have foster homes well had I left, better off on my own" you held his gaze you were testing him, letting him know exactly what you'd done with out saying the words guard up and waiting to see if he'd try to over power you or change his mind. He didn't know what to say to that, he could hear the others through the comms warning him to back off asking if he wanted back up, he ignored them you had killed them accidentally that much was clear. You had no one he couldn't imagine just what you had been through, but he also knew this was a test he had done it himself when he was younger, you were waiting to see if he would judge you or leave you here alone, the others wont understand that’s why they were panicking telling him to leave if he did you'd never trust them again something none of them could risk, but it was also your way of trying to push them away. He shook his head coming closer slowing when your eyes began to glow and the floor rippled beneath his feet he raised his hands slowly the others were shouting down the line at him but you was getting defensive not readying for an attack.
"That’s why we want to help you, so nothing like that happens again I cant imagine what you've been through or what it was like but you don't have to be alone anymore or be scared" you believed him, something told you he understood pulling back from the concrete, he had plenty of time to attack you but didn't.
"And you wont be mad if I break something?" He shook his head releasing a breath he wasn't aware he was holding
"If you break something you can keep practicing until you fix it" you contemplated for a second.
"Okay then but just to see if I can fit in, don't let them make me jump.....I don't wanna shank them....you got off lightly it was aiming to go straight threw to your face... I sort of caught it a little" Bruce tensed but quickly controlled himself, the last thing you needed was to see he was slightly afraid of your gift it could feed your own fear.
"They already know, they've been watching in case they needed to help if things went bad its up to you" you gulped and nodded a little as he began walking away you hesitated looking the opposite way you could run, forget this whole meeting and leave, you sighed watching his back you had no doubt he was giving you the chance to leave you took a deep breath they could help and if it does become a con you would find a way to leave and disappear nodding you quickly jogged up behind him following him to the bat mobile he opened the back revealing two seats.
"This thing has extra seats?" He smirked down at you
"Well this one does some of the others don't." You tilted your head
"How many of them do you have?" He chuckled as you slid into the seat
"Quite a few buckle up and hold on" he said nodding the the strategically placed grab rails the shut the door a few seconds later you were moving. You shivered a little nervous you didn't think it was a bad thing to go and train somewhere more secure but one mistake and you could easily become an enemy and contrary to what they may believe you couldn't take any of them on you was still a human you still bled. You sighed leaning back a little resting your head on the seat behind you as he drove you god knows where.

Prize - Copia x Shy!Reader (2/2)
And final part of the prize for @sweet-marionette! Thank you for your patience hun!
You can read the first part here --> [Link]
Cardinal Copia trying to romance a very shy and awkward Sibling of Sin! Both end up being awkward dorks together! First part was Copia PoV, and Second is reader’s!
Part Two Under Reader More! <3
You’ve always dreamt about meeting the famous Cardinal Copia one day. Like many, you immediately became a fan when he rose to power. The first time you saw him perform for the Ghost project you were hooked! From the way he would close his eyes and sing so purely, to his theatrics on stage. Most importantly to you, how much the man cared for the Church and all of his tireless hard work. Cardinal Copia was your muse and everything you aspired to be within the Ministry- passionate, intelligent, and utterly loyal to Lucifer!
Since your first sermon with him you found yourself daydreaming about what it would be like to meet him face to face! Giggling like a love struck teen you imagined speaking to him at Confession or during Unholy Communion. You practiced one hundred different times what exactly you would say and how you would say it. Maybe take his hand and tell him how much you loved his album. Or maybe tell a joke, make him laugh, and thank him for all of his hard work. A blush always painted your face when you thought of telling him how much you looked up to him, how much you wanted to be like him. What were you, you always scolded yourself, a child to their favorite super hero?
So many fantasies, each more glamorous than the last. On particularly days you even thought about what it’d be like if he asked you out to dinner! You wished! It was one thing to meet him, you reasoned, but another to suddenly have him wanting you. The thought was nice, though. So you continued to go about your days as normal, working hard to make the Clergy Library an organized and valuable resource. For which you were told was all thanks to you (something you had denied, even as you thanked everyone for their kind words.)
Despite all of your fancies, you could have never predicted that they would eventually come true. You would have never dared to dream the Cardinal being the one to hunt YOU down. Yet here you were, having screeched as Copia materialized out of nowhere! You were so startled by the sudden mass of red fabric rounding a corner straight at you you knocked over the book cart you were handling. Heavy tomes scattered on the tiles after metal made a deafening clatter from the fall.
The whole situation felt like a feverish dream to you as you stared at the Cardinal. Barely real as you sat in open mouthed horror as he stooped to pick up some of the books that littered the floor.
“Oops, my apologies- ehehe!”
Your mind barely registered that Cardinal Copia himself was gathering your burden from the dusty floor. THE MAN himself was stooped and chatting away at you, none of which you could understand in your stupor. Suddenly all of your senses regained and you scrambled to pick them up before he did- mortified that you let your SUPERIOR pick up YOUR mess!
The Cardinal recoiled and sprung back as you dived to snatch the books away from him. His gloved hands creaked as he brought them to his chest, wide eyed and looking as though he expected you to slap him. You clutched half of the books close to your chest, face burning bright with embarrassment.
N-no it’s alright, Your Eminence!” You stammered. “It was my fault!”
Helplessly you watched as the Cardinal stood back up, giving you a winning smile as he did. Your heart started to pound painfully in your chest as the breath was knocked out of you.
“At least let me get the cart for you-” He offered, prying the metal off the marble tiles.
You shuffled from foot to foot anxiously as he righted your push cart, kicking its wheel lock down so it stood still. It was a welcome relief for the burning in your arms from the heavy titles. The books hit the cart with a thud and you sighed , making quick work of the rest that were scattered on the floor. When you finished you noticed the Cardinal hovering beside you. Copia stood awkwardly, leaning in expectantly closer to you. When you realized he was waiting for you to say something your mouth went dry. You managed to cough and finally get the words out.
“T-thank you!” came the squeak, barely audible even in the quiet library.
“You are quite Welcome,” nodded Copia cheerfully. You wanted to wilt and die under his beautiful, two toned gaze.
There was another long, drawn out pause as the two of you stared at one another. You quickly watched his brow arch in confusion as he studied you. A few excruciating seconds clicked by until you realized you were still holding the last of the spilt books. Worse yet, you were gawking at the man with a gaping mouth. A part of you wished a chasm would open up under you and swallow you whole. Nerves got the best of you and your hands nearly gave out, letting the covers almost tumble out of your grasp.
Copia lurched forward and grabbed onto the bottom of your pile, keeping them for spilling everywhere. The sudden breach of personal space had your head reeling. Without thinking you jumped back, clutching your texts like a life line as your eyes were wide and scared. There was an audible thump as your back hit the bookcase behind you, nearly knocking the wind out of yourself!
You obviously startled the poor Cardinal again, who nearly tripped over the book cart in fright. He watched you with confusion and surprise etched on his face. His hackles were raised like a frightened cat. It took all your willpower not to just bolt out of the library and hide in your room. Another nervous, forced laugh escaped you as you willed yourself to die. Without thinking, you blurted out the first thing you could think of to redirect the situation. Anything to escape this train wreck!
“W-was there something I could help you find, Cardinal? W-was Sister Abigal not manning the front desk?”
It’s all you could think to say. After all, Sister Abigal had a horrible tendency to wander off instead of helping other siblings find books. You were sure that’s why the Cardinal needed to find you…. Which was odd considering he knew every library like the back of his perfectly tailored gloves. Copia studied you for a second longer before breaking out into his own awkward giggles. Your face started to burn crimson again, but not from sheer embarassment.
“Oh! No, no- I was eh- looking for you!” He punctuated this by gesturing to you with both of his hands, raising up and down to show his point. It was your turn to stare and make the man wilt under your gaze. Copia cleared his throat and looked around quickly before clapping his hands together.
“I, eh, would very much like to speak to you. Preferably in private. Is that alright with you?”
A small squeak left your lips and your mouth went dry. Privately? Your heart started beating harder than the ghoul’s drumline. Where you… being fired? Sister Abigail DID tell you that Copia was relentlessly asking about you. When she first told you, you had thought she was playing a mean joke on you! After all, she knew of your infatuation with the lead of Ghost. You had brushed it off and ignored all her insistent remarks. But she had been right, and possibly for the worst reason! Why ELSE would a man of his rank in the church be here but to scold you personally? He had a reputation for being a perfectionist.
A million thoughts flew through your head as you became dizzy. Was it because of the organizing job you did with the candles? Did you not restock the books properly? Hell’s Bells, did he even KNOW about the time you accidentally knocked over the plate of wafers for the last Black Mass! An even worse thought crossed your mind. Did he find out you snuck into the restricted section one night? Your heart nearly stopped at the idea and you let out an inaudible cry.
Cardinal Copia must have seen the utter panic on your face as he brought up his hands again, waving them frantically as he stuttered. Hot tears streaked down your face as you babbled incoherently. Copia fumbled around his cassock looking for the pocket with a tastefully embroidered handkerchief. You flinched as he approached but froze as he gently dabbed tears forming in your eyes.
“No- no tears, please? You aren’t in trouble! Ehehe- so sorry, I did not mean to frighten you!”
You relaxed, but only slightly as you studied the man. It was a strange experience for you. This was the man you both admired and feared. Hell, you practically bolted the first time he walked past you months ago! The big bad Cardinal, soon to be Papa, wasn’t this fear inducing powerful man. It slowly began to sink in that the man wiping your tears and looking around nervously was… just like you. Copia wasn’t just the confident, possibly arrogant man he was on stage. Cardinal Copia was the anxious man who looked ready to cry knowing he almost made you bawl in the middle of the library!
Something in you cracked a bit, but in the best way possible. It was Copia’s turn to look confused again as you giggled. Then he sighed, obviously relieved. Unsure of what made you turn so suddenly, but it was a relief nonetheless. He gaped as he realized he couldn’t return the soiled fabric to his pocket and awkwardly looked at you. You watched as Copia left the handkerchief on the top of your books and nodded- patting the fabric assuredly. You laughed again, startling the man and making him almost jump.
“S-sorry!” you squeaked, both sniffing and getting out the last of your giggles. The Cardinal weakly smiled to you and clasped his hands tightly together.
“So… no more tears?”
“No, no mores tears Cardinal.”
“Excellent! Now may we uh- possibly got to my office and have a chat?”
Copia winced as he suggested it, no doubt expecting another bought of sobs to come out of you. He let out a breath as you merely nodded.
“Very good, now-”
“Your Eminence?” Copia tilted his head.
“If you don’t mind my asking… what do you need to speak to me about? I know you said it’s private but…” you trailed off, setting the books down.
“Oh! You see, eh- it’s mostly… We don’t necessarily have to go to my office for-”
He babbled to himself, mouthing soundless words as he looked anywhere but at you- trying to figure out what to say. His gloved hands made circles in the air, as though grasping for the right words. Finally, the Cardinal blurted out what he had been meaning to say for weeks.
“I would very much like to take you out to dinner!”
For a moment your heart skipped a beat and you thought you would be stricken dead. Copia panicked and his hands were everywhere again.
“Not that you need to accept, but I thought-”
“Why?”
“Eh, huh?” Copia gawked at you. “Pardon?” You shyly scuffed your foot.
“Why me? I just… I want to but this seems so sudden! Shouldn’t there be plenty of others you could take?”
He seemed stunned by the revelation, and you regretted asking the moment it came out of your mouth. Cardinal Copia eased up and grasped the handle of the cart as he slowed to think more clearly.
“It’s funny- I’ve actuaaaaaLLLLLLLLLY-”
Copia screeched as the cart pushed out from under him. Even the weight of the books couldn’t keep it in place. He crashed to the floor on his side, sending the metal abomination down the aisle. If only you had warned him about the loose wheels and their broken lock guard...
The Cardinal groaned and refused to move off the ground- no doubt mortified by the entire ordeal. You kneeled empathetically at his side, placing a hand on his shoulder. You remembered the first time that happened to you and smiled.
“Yes, Cardinal.”
He flinched at your touch but offered a small, wheezy, “Yes?”
“I would love to accompany you to dinner.” Pink dusted your cheeks and nose again, a new record for the evening. You couldn’t help it, the way he snapped up to look at you with starry eyes was too precious.
“Yes?” he smiled.
“On one condition,” You giggled as Copia rose a brow.
“Anything!”
“Promise me we won’t bring the stupid cart with us.”

Theo Raeken x Werewolf!Reader
A/N: Literally no one asked for this, I’ve been binge watching Ghost Adventures and I maaaay have let my imagination get the best of me. I love Theo so much so here ya go, enjoy! Characters are 18+ xx
Warning: Smut, cursing, some fluff if you squint, spoiler for those who haven’t seen Infinity War uhhhh, some ghosts or whatever. I think that’s it.
Word Count: 1,560
Your ears both perked up when you heard the loud bang in one of the old abandoned buildings to your left. You met Theo’s eyes, silently having a conversation with him, nodding that you would go investigate to see what made that noise.
As per usual, there was something or someone terrorizing Beacon Hills, the two of you always wandered off together, being the newest members of his pack, you both felt like you still had something to prove, like you belonged there. At first it was a competition to see who could win over Scott first, but after a run in with a shapeshifter that nearly killed you had it not been for Theo coming to your rescue like some fucked up knight in shining armor, you and Theo put aside your petty game and realized how much you two actually liked each other’s company.
Stepping into the old warehouse you kept your ears perked up, trying to figure out where the noise came from but heard nothing so far. You didn’t catch a scent either which was throwing you off. Even if it had been an animal there would have still been some kind of scent left behind. You frowned, turning to look at Theo, the same expression displayed on his face.
“I-” He started to speak but you quickly held up a hand to silence him, hearing footsteps upstairs. You glanced up to the ceiling, lifting a finger to your lips you quietly made your way to the stairs, Theo right behind you as you both tried your best to maneuver around the broken pieces of wood and glass on the floor as to not alert whatever was up there to make a run for it. But by the time you two got up there it seemed like whomever or whatever was up there was long gone. Once again, not leaving not even a hint of a scent.
“Well this was a waste of time.” You heard Theo mutter and you sighed, running a hand through your hair. You looked around to see if you could a clue or something to maybe what was up there and what they were doing. But everything was covered in dust and literally hadn’t been touched in years.
You tried again to listen to see if any more noise could be heard but this time nothing came to you. You crossed your arms in front of you, turning to look at Theo and he chuckled, noticing your annoyed demeanor. You hated wasting time and he knew that. Even though the two of you weren’t competing against each other anymore, you still had to be the first one to find something, the one who knew everything first.
He walked over to you, prying your arms away from your body and pulled you closer to him. His lips found the sweet spot on your neck and you instantly relaxed against him.
You bit your lip holding back a moan, moving back slightly, a grin forming at the corner of your mouth. “What are you doing, Theo?”
He shrugged, his hand sliding down to your back, pressing your hips to his. “I forgot to tell you how hot you looked in this dress today.” His eyes raked over your body slowly, you raised your eyebrow slowly, letting out a soft laugh.
“Here? You want to do this here?” You asked curiously, Theo leaned into you, his lips back on your neck.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about, I’m not doing anything.” But the moan that left your lips said other wise. His hands slid down to your butt, lifting your legs up to wrap around his waist as he gripped you tightly, rolling his hips against yours, letting out a groan as his hard member pressed against your core.
Your back immediately felt the wall behind you and your lips met his clumsily, teeth clashing together, hands slipping between the two of you in a desperate manner, fumbling for his zipper, pushing your dress out of the way. You swore every time you and Theo hooked up it felt like the first time, it was as if you couldn’t touch each other quick enough, couldn’t wait to reach that high together. You two were slowly becoming addicted to each other, the pack of course said nothing when the two of you practically reeked of sex and want for the other. You suspected it was another reason why Scott always left you two to wander off by yourselves. It was bound to happen, like fighting the inevitable.
Of course, neither of you complained, taking every chance you could to release some tension. Being a hormonal teen was hard enough, add being a werewolf to the mix and you were surprised you even made it out of your house sometimes, Theo permanently inhabiting the other side of your mattress. Some nights you didn’t even sleep because the two of you were at it all night.
Going out to investigate was no different, Theo was just as spontaneous, just as rough and God, if that didn’t make you constantly on edge with need whenever you were around him.
Your lips pressed against Theo’s harder, feeling his fingers brush past your wet core, sending goosebumps throughout your entire body.
He smirked against your mouth, about to say something, but you gripped his shoulder impatiently and he knew what you wanted.
You moaned loudly when he quickly thrusted into you, weaving your fingers in his hair, your other hand going down his back to his butt, holding him as close as possible to you. His fingers practically embedded themselves into your thighs, knowing full well you’d have bruises on them tomorrow as his hips snapped up against yours.
Theo was the only one who knew how to tame the wolf inside of you, constantly trying to claw it’s way out and you swore you were the same thing for Theo. You two had agreed to a no strings attached type of relationship and yet there was no one else on the sidelines. Sure others had tried, Stiles at one point hit on you right in front of Theo, unbeknownst to him at the time that you had already been claimed so to speak by the glowering werewolf across the room.
You didn’t walk properly for days after that.
You knew this time would be the same, Theo’s pace only getting rougher as he pushed you against the wall harder. Moaning his name against his lips always sent him over the edge and the look on his face when he came always had you quivering under him right after.
He leaned down, pressing a few kisses to your shoulder and chest while you both came down from your high, your heart beating erratically as you tried to catch your breath.
Your lips met his, pushing him away soft to get your feet on the ground.
Footsteps were once again heard downstairs and you rolled your eyes once.
“Seriously?” You held your hands up in defeat, shaking your head.
“Maybe it’s a ghost. OoooooOooo.” Theo held up his hands, wiggling his fingers after he had fixed his clothes. You scoffed, about to say something again when you two heard knocking coming from inside the room you were in. Your eyes scanned the area and saw absolutely nothing.
“Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Fuck this.” You shook your head, grabbing his hand as you lead him out of the room quickly.
Theo’s laugh echoed down the empty halls.
“You’re a werewolf and you’re scared of ghosts?” He grinned, wrapping his arm around your waist, catching up you.
“No I’m not.” You crossed your arms in front of you again but you couldn’t deny anything, your quick walking said it all.
“Mhmm. So why are you running?” Theo laughed, squeezing your hip.
“Because.” That was all you said, earning you another laugh from the brunette.
“You’re cute when you’re scared.” He leaned into you, whispering into your ear.
You hit his stomach softly, causing him to flinch and he laughed even louder.
“I’m not scared.” You tried your best not to show fear but seeing the look on Theo’s face, you already knew it was pointless.
“I can literally smell how scared you are.” He kissed the side of your head, opening the front door to the building.
“Shut up.” You murmured, instantly relieved to be outside.
“Don’t worry, princess, I’ll save you, I’ll be your knight in shining armor.” You rolled your eyes again, but couldn’t help the smile on your face when you heard those words. You held your tongue wanting so badly to tell him he already was.
“V necks don’t count as armor, you dingus.” That was what you chose to say instead, earning you another chuckle from Theo.
“They do in our story.”
“What story? What do you think this is some kind of slasher film meets Disney?”
“That is exactly what I think this is.”
“If that were true we would have died in the creepy warehouse, every one knows the two teens having sex always die in slasher films.”
“Yeah but we’re the main characters you can’t kill the main characters.”
“Ummmm have you not seem Infinity War, they literally killed off half of the main characters.”
“Actually-”
“Oh my Goooood, here we fucking go.”

🏰⚔️ DMODT- 14 update
Erwin had been "busy" when the guards finally tracked him down. Eren had finished with his bath, and was dozing under Levi's fur blankets by the time the man finally arrived, stinking of whatever alpha he'd been busy with. For just once, he'd like the man to keep it in his pants. Or at least until Zeke was gone. Carefully extracting himself from his hold around Eren, the teen mumbled in his sleep. Levi strongly suspected Eren wasn't as ok with being attacked as he was making out to be, which was just another reason the teen would be sleeping in his bed that night... or at least, that's how he justified it to himself, though no one was questioning him over it. Retrieving the sword and egg, Levi placed both on his small dining table. Erwin immediately sobering as he saw the two items "Where did they come from?" "In the castle. Do you know anything about them?" "No. I've never seen them..." Moving to them, Erwin lifted the egg "How does Eren fit into this?" "He caught Marley soldiers attempting to steal them, and copped a beating for it" Erwin frowned "Marley shouldn't even know about them..." "And yet, there they are. Do you think Draecia knows they're here?" "Possibly. I'd have to check the records to know. Is he alright?" "His magic healed him for the most part, but I think it's brought up a lot of issues from his past. He was scared to tell me" "Perhaps because you reacted so strongly over the dragon's corpse?" "Possibly. But what do we do about this? Someone had to informed Marley about the items being here. Then there's the possible fall out. Zeke's goons are probably waiting to tell him they dealt with Eren..." "Even if they do, they can't say anything about it. Zeke can't admit that he was stealing from us" "It worries me though. Eren said he checked the trunks, but this was all he found. Still, there was the last time he was here, and anything he had sent ahead" Erwin sighed deeply, placing the egg down carefully "We'll need to inventory the galleries. Check to see what's there. And the storage rooms" "Eren said he wasn't about to let Marley take anything else from Eldia" "He's a brave kid" "He is. Though his bravery have shown the lack of castle security" "That it has. For now, we need to secure the sword and the egg" "I'll see to it. I'll seen an eagle up to Draecia once Zeke has left. If we have a dragon showing up here while Zeke's around, he's bound to misinterpret things" "Alright. I know I'll be leaving Eren to you too. Make sure you use a command on him" Levi glared openly. The idea of using a command angered him "It's for his safety as well as ours" "He can keep his mouth shut" "But he can't disobey a command. I'm not in the mood to argue this with you" "You're the one who said to put faith in him, and to trust him" "As far as needed to fuck him. I assume you have been" Levi's alpha growled. How dare they talk about Eren like that! The kid had risked his life for Eldia, and all Erwin cared about was if they were fucking. Levi's tone was several degrees cooler as he snarked "That's none of your business" "It is when it could ruin everything we've built" "I'll deal with Eren, Levi. You just make sure not to get yourself killed in the mean time" "Erwin, I'm just saying..." "I am well aware of my position. I was the one who mounted Eren, and I'm the one who put us all in this position. I know. Now. I've spent the night under Zeke's gaze and Petra's continual flirting. I am tired. I have two relics to deal with. And a regretful early breakfast with the soldiers who attacked Eren. I know what's at stake" "I'm only speaking out concern" "I know. If you have any troubles, wake me. Also, Hanji and Moblit will need a story too. I had them watch Eren" "I'll tell them him had a less than desirable run in with some drunk Eldia soldiers. Make..." "Make sure you use a command. I know" "It really is for his safety" He'd have to talk to Eren about it. He'd prefer not to, but it if Eren though it safer, he would. He just hated alphas who preferred to jump right to dominating and downgrading omegas in such way. When Erwin left, Levi half climbed under his solid fourposter to hide the sword and egg against the wall. He'd learned from a young age that nobody could be bothered with the effort of cleaning all the way under the stupidly huge bed. With all its draping fabrics, and small trees for legs, the thing was ridiculous, especially when it came to keeping it clean. Climbing back up, he found Eren was awake. Green eyes blinking at him as he yawned softly "What did I miss?" "Nothing much. Levi was busy screwing around, but he's going to look into a few things. How do you feel?" "Your bed is so comfortable" "I didn't ask how my bed felt" Climbing in next to Eren, the omega slipped an arm around his waist, nuzzling into Levi's shoulder "I'm sorry if I got you into trouble" "It's fine. We have a few things to talk about, but first, how do you feel?" "A little stiff and sore, but I'll be alright" "Can I do anything to help?" "No... but do you mind if I hug you?" "Usually people don't want to hug me" "They're missing o-out" Eren yawned again mid sentence, his scent even and calming "Only you would say that" "I don't know. I smelt female beta on you before" "That's what happens when you have to be polite" Levi was tempted to ask Eren if he was jealous, but couldn't bring himself to do so knowing it was simply to stroke his own ego. Sliding down under the covers, Eren hissed slightly as he did the same "Should I call a healer?" "No. Are you sure you don't mind me sleeping here?" "It's fine, besides, if you're here, I know you're not in trouble" "I didn't mean to get into trouble" Yet he did. It felt like each time he took his eyes off Eren, Eren ended up in trouble "You have a talent for it" "At least I have some form of talent" Rolling in Eren's hold, Levi draped his arm around the teen "That magic of yours is quite the talent" "It's come along" "I know those biggest sparkles tonight were yours" "I think I used up too much... that's why I'm healing so slowly" "I wonder why I wasn't affected?" "Possibly because I had enough magic to start healing straight away?" "You make it sound like you don't always have magic" "It's not like that. It's more like... maybe I have a store of magic I can control?" "Are you angry, that your training is slightly different from everyone else's?" "No. Sometimes. I felt useless tonight because I couldn't get a sense of what was in those trunks. I tried to put the spell together in my head the way I thought it would be written, but nothing happened" "What do you mean? Aren't the books filled with spells?" "Not how you think" "Tell me then" "Well... when you think of a candle, what do you think of?" A candle? "Flame?" "When you read a spell, it like... paints a guide in your head. To light a candle, it's not just flame you think of. First you think of the wax, then the wick. Then you think of the holder, if it's in one. From there you build the flame. Fire, heat, small, light, burning, all around the tip of the wick. The books give you a guide of how to think, but it's your imagination and intuition that builds the spell from there" That was far more complex than he thought "I always thought you magic users were chanting lines in your heads and waving your hands about" "I guess we are, just not the way everyone else thinks. I didn't know why my powers wouldn't work before, but it was because I didn't know the right way to think about it" "Your fire's always worked" "I can't work out why. I know my moods affect my magic, but as I've told you a hundred times before, it has a mind of its own" Shifting his head, Levi's lips were millimetres from Eren's "And what about you? Do you have a mind of your own?" "I know what I want and what I don't want. If that's what you mean?" "And what do you want?" "You to fuck me. When it comes to sex, I was scared. But inside I can feel the change in me. Being my master, you settle my magic. You narrow my thoughts into a single focus. I thought I would feel embarrassment and shame, having never slept with anyone else before, but with you, I don't. I don't know if I should be scared, or nervous. You strip me back to my base desire, and it feels liberating. Outside of sex, I'm a nervous wreck of constant worry" If Eren was a nervous wreck, he hated to think of how the teen must see straight through his carefully crafted facade "That sounds like one hell of a confession" "I confess I like the pleasure I feel with you. We're extremely compatible" Pressing his lips to Eren's, Levi rolled the omega back as he moved between his legs. Eren was only wearing the sleep shirt he'd leant the teen for the night, thankful at the time that it was long enough to give Eren some modesty. Running his left hand down Eren's thigh, the omega moaned into his mouth, his magic already beginning to seep into Levi. Breaking the kiss, he kept his lips to Eren's "Are you sure?" "Yes. I want to feel it" "I... haven't slept with a lot of people" "I'm not surprised. I understand your position. This is simply pleasure. I'm yours to command, and you are my master" How Eren could remain so calm, he had no idea. Taking his hand from Eren's leg, he fumbled pulled the drawstring of his pants undone. Taking his half hard dick in his hand, he pumped himself slowly to erect, as his lips met Eren's again. God. He could lose himself in Eren's sweet kisses, and die a happy man. Breaking the kiss, Eren spread his legs wider "Feel how wet I am for you, my master" Releasing his dick, Levi took a breath to calm himself. He couldn't just push into Eren's heat, and that was the omegas gentle reminder of the fact. Running his hand down Eren's thigh, he brushed past the omega's testicles in favour of the thick slick as sought Eren's opening. It was amazing how wet Eren got. He'd never get used to the magic of his body. Finding his lover's opening, he pushed two fingertips into Eren tightness, the omega gasping as his back arched and magic crackled "Too much?" "Slower" Sliding both fingertips out, he started with his pointer finger. This time taking it slowly to open Eren, when the omega started to whine with impatience, he took it to mean he was ready for the next finger. Squirming, it took Eren a little longer to grow accustomed to three fingers, Levi making sure he could move easily enough before pulling free, and coating his erection with the slick clinging to them "Are you ready?" Eren let out a breathy moan, his mage smelt incredible. It was as if the scents of a whole storm had hit, finished with the floral-honey sweet scent of slick "Yes" Learning from his mistakes the first time, he guided himself into Eren's opening, only removing his hand once the tip had breached the teen. Drawing synchronous moans from them both, Eren leaned up, to pull him down into a hungry kiss as Levi buried himself completely. Fuck. He could feel each ripple of Eren's muscles. He could feel the way Eren's body was trying to draw him deeper. He could feel Eren's magic flooding through him, and clouding his brain. Everything felt so much better when they were like this. Even the worries of the castle faded to mute. That night, both of them were lost in each other. There was no awkwardness as they napped in each other's hold, and fucked as they felt like it. Levi would never allow his bed to fall into such a disheveled state, but to clean would mean to release Eren, and he just couldn't do that. Not when the mage had woken startled and scared, vulnerable as he immediately searched for him. Levi having shifted back slight in his sleep. When morning came, he could have sworn Eren was glowing. The early morning sun catching and playing on his soft skin as his chest rose and fell rhythmically. Resting his head against Eren's chest, Levi let himself fall back into a doze. He knew he should feel exhausted, but all he felt was peaceful. Eren's mage had eased the pains of his heart and body, while healing both of them back to perfect health. When Eren woke, they rose. After a quick hard fuck with Eren bent over the bathroom counter, he found Eren was almost as bad as he was when it came to personal hygiene. Letting Eren take first shower, the teen scrubbed himself down, and cleaned himself out as if Levi wasn't watching his every move. He hadn't meant to stay, but his alpha was struggling with letting Eren wash their scent away, the moment Eren stepped out the shower, Levi had snapped, scent marking the omegas neck as Eren rolled his eyes. The action didn't impress his alpha, but the mage the kissed the tip of his nose and walked off to retrieve a towel, as if everything was ok. It wasn't ok. Levi's cheeks were burning red, feeling every bit of awkwardness possible, and further understanding Eren's words from the previous night. Sex really was easy. It was everything else that he was embarrassed over. He didn't know how to act or what to say, with Eren's scent across his skin, and slick dried to his thighs. Falling into bed with Eren was easy, as if he'd waited his whole life to meet the mage. He was flustered as hell, and he hadn't even left his room yet. There were so many sides to Eren, and he was only just beginning to scratch the surface. By the time Levi finished in the bathroom, Eren was dressed and sitting on the ledge of the windowsill. The teen's eyes closed as he basked in the sun "I thought we should air the room. I can still smell the sex and feel the lingering magic" "Good idea. How do you feel? Are you sore?" "No. You prepped me, and my magic healed any discomfort there might have been. Are you?" "I feel fine... I know I should be tired, but I honestly feel refreshed" Opening his eyes, Eren turned to smile at him "That's good. This is what a proper bond is supposed to feel like" "It's almost addictive" A blush crept into Eren's cheeks "You're really good in bed" Levi's alpha ego swelled. Eren was so open and honest about what he liked and how he felt, when Levi was buried inside of him. Still, it was nice to hear that his awkwardness hadn't ruined anything for Eren "You're not too bad yourself" "I know. I am hungry though, but I suppose I should stay out of sight until Zeke has left. And you said we needed to talk" It seemed as if sex was just sex for Eren. The teen doing a better job of compartmentalising the two aspects of their relationship better than he was "We do" Climbing from the windowsill, Eren walked over to sit at the dining table, indicating he should across from him. Such rudeness normally wouldn't be tolerated, as Levi couldn't allow himself to ever be seen as weak. Settling down, he paused, feeling as if he was about to make a horribly dick move "Spit it out" "Shitty Brat. Ok. Last night when Erwin was here, he suggested something and I want to know your thoughts on it" "Go on" "He told me to use an alpha command on you. I don't personally like them" Eren sighed "Let me guess. A command to keep everything a secret?" Levi's eyes widened a fraction "You're ok with that?" "No. I hate them. Especially when they're intentionally cruel. However, last night needs to remain a secret. We cannot risk a public embarrassment like lacking in the castle guard and being stolen from. I understand the need for secrecy, and the need for our bond to remain a secret. You have my permission to use a command" Levi was taken back by such direct words. It'd barely been an hour since he'd been buried inside Eren as Eren begged sweetly for more. That such sweet moans and such strong words could come from the mage felt weird "Are you sure?" "Yes. I understand the situation, and you sought my permission, which is odd, but nice. I appreciate it" "You're a weird kid" Eren shrugged "Probably, but go ahead" Rising to his feet, Levi moved to stare down the teen. Trying to remember what an actual command felt like "You will not tell anyone of last night. You will not tell anyone about the egg, the sword, or any dragon items within the castle. You will only talk to me, and Erwin about such things, in private. You will not tell anyone about our bond, or that I am your master. You will continue your training and you will master magic. You will be useful to Eldia, and always act with respect towards its people and leaders, unless your life is in danger, and at such times, you will protect yourself. You will tell me if you are hurt or harmed, and you will not hide your injuries, illness or heat from me. This relationship of sex between us will only work with honesty. I cannot love you, or declare you my lover. Do I make myself understood, omega?!" Eren nodded quickly "Yes, master" Levi let out a long breath "I think that was everything... if it's not, we can work it out together. If the command becomes too much, I want to know" Reaching out, Eren pulled Levi to him. His forehead against Levi's stomach as sighed softly "I'm sorry, sir. I'm being selfish, but an alpha has never put my welfare first. Thank you" "You don't need to thank me. It's because of me that all of this happened. I know if you'd found anything about changing masters or cancelling the vow, you would have told me" "Still... I'm... out of everyone I've met. I'm relieved it was you. I was... I wasn't ok with the idea of being mounted by someone I didn't know, and I'm well aware I do not know you that well, and that there are more than a few aspects of your life that you can never share with me, but I hope you know, I am working hard to be useful. I want to be useful. I want to use my magic to help people" "I know you do. But don't forget you're also a teenager, your life has barely begun. I want you to spend time with your friends, and to be yourself" Fuck... it sounded dangerously too close to something he might tell a boyfriend, not a fuck buddy... he needed to get his head on straight, but Eren made that so hard "Thank you" Patting Eren's hair, the omega released him "You need to attend breakfast as nothing is wrong. I'll stay here until it's all over" "E-Levi will come and collect me when it's time. Then the maids will be in to collect the laundry" That's was about all they were allowed to do. If they let him in the laundry room, he'd probably never leave "That's probably for the best... do you want help to strip the bed?" "No. It's fine. Maybe you can magic up another trick?" "I see the crown I made, made it to the does head" Above the mantel place was a taxidermy that Levi loathed. He never understood stuffing and mounting an animal, but it'd come with the room. The crown Eren had crafted barely caught the light, except when the fire in the hearth was roaring. He didn't know what to do with the crown, only that he didn't want to part with Eren's gift "It's safest there" "Mmm. There is a spell I want to try" "Is it safe?" "I think so? The windows open, so it would be much easier" "Then go ahead, I'll start on the bed" Eren's little spell resulted in a white rose bush blooming in the middle of the room, the teen laughing too hard as Levi's raised eyebrow. Apparently the teen had wanted to summon a single flower, but his magic was stronger than he'd expected. If the kid failed at being a court mage, he'd make a mint growing and selling his own plants... though Levi wasn't sure why Eren kept associating him with white roses. He'd spilled enough blood in his lifetime to paint a field red. Yet, again, he couldn't help but find it sweet... and yet, again, he needed to remind himself that this was purely sex.

Thank you to everyone who’s supported this story so far, and to the people who have commented or left me an ask - it’s super late where I am, but I have started responding, and hope to finish that stuff up tomorrow! (you know who you are ;) )
Chapter Summary: Julius finds some unexpected company while in prison. “But life inevitably throws us curve balls, unexpected circumstances that remind us to expect the unexpected. I’ve come to understand these curve balls are the beautiful unfolding of both karma and current.” -Carre Otis
Chapter 2: Karma and Current
Julius shifted in his cell, trying to get more comfortable on the hard cot provided for him. It had been a little under two weeks since he’d been locked in the cell for “disturbing the peace”, and he was getting anxious. He hadn’t seen Stonefell since getting locked away, and the guards hadn’t answered his questions about the man, or about his own sentence despite repeated requests.
“You just gotta wait,” one of them, Agnes, had said, after only a day of questions. “Either someone’ll come and pay yer bail, or you’ll stay here til yer time’s up. Nothin’ we can do about it. Now keep quiet, and eat yer rations.”
Julius had immediately felt inclined to drop his name and title, but he knew it held no weight after his family’s slaughter. From the little he’d heard mentioned in the village, the story being circulated was that his family had all succumbed to some terrible illness. Then, out of the “goodness of their hearts” and “concern for the citizens” the Briarwoods had taken over the governance of Whitestone instead of returning to Wildmount.
No one knew they had killed the rest of his family and tried to lock him away in order to give themselves a figurehead and keep the people in line.
As it was, he didn’t have the right to be a de Rolo, let alone flaunt the title like it meant nothing to him as he’d heard other nobles do.
After only a couple days Julius had felt feverish and nearly returned his half-digested lunch to the guards’ feet, so a cleric of Pelor had been brought in to treat his injuries from his battle with Kerrion Stonefell. Osahn was older, close to his mother’s age, and though he’d been held with chains while she worked, she hadn’t seemed worried or hesitant about treating him. She had even talked while she tended his wounds, rambling about the cold and the snowstorm outside, and her niece whom she’d just taught how to knit.
It had brought a vaguely nostalgic feeling to his chest that had settled into a sense peace by the evening. That, however, had been echoed by resentment as he fingered the small amulet of Pelor he kept in his pocket. He’d left his past duties, the obligations he had been planning to fulfill, behind him, but there were some things he couldn’t fully let go of, not even after years on his own.
He did, however, appreciate the lack of the sickening heat creeping through his chest and leg.
During the rest of his “stay” a man and a couple woman had been brought in or taken out of the cells, never saying much, probably condemned for minor counts of stealing and such. But they hardly ever stayed for twenty-four hours – a family member always came soon enough, to pay bail and bring them home.
Overall, his stay was getting monotonous after close to a fortnight, and the lack of action had Julius pacing the cell at night, various thoughts and memories haunting his waking hours like the bats that hung in the rafters above him. Stonefell had mentioned the Briarwoods’ “plans” before knocking Julius out, and Julius couldn’t help but wonder if the man had gone to Whitestone to retrieve the couple based off how long he’d been gone.
The thought of seeing them again turned Julius’ stomach and made him pace his cell to relieve the excess energy, but the faint whisper at the back of his head was ready for action. He knew he would fight to the death if they came face-to-face again.
He looked up at the ceiling as a dripping noise made itself known – a leak that let melting snow seep through the roof of the prison. The weather had gotten colder, and the snowstorm Osahn had mentioned had become a blizzard overnight, if the guards’ conversations were to be believed. It would be a plausible reason for Stonefell’s delay, but that didn’t stop him from worrying.
Julius brought to mind the Briarwoods’ faces on a whim, then shuddered at the memory of Sylas’ cold stare, Delilah’s simpering grin, and the gentle touches they shared. Those touches, that warmth between them, parodied the memories he retained of his parents in the worst possible way. He clenched his fists, feeling antsy again, a prickling feeling running over the back of his neck and down both of his arms.
He wished he could summon his sword to go through forms, but he didn’t want to reveal that particular skill to the guards – they already didn’t trust him (because of Kerrion Stonefell’s testimony, he was sure).
Instead, he shook out his limbs and paced from one end of the cell to the other, spinning abruptly on his heel when he neared one wall or the other.
Listening to the rhythmic sound of his feet against the stone, matching it with the beating of his heart, Julius felt the worst of the tension slip away. The repetition and control over some modicum of his life was grounding.
Or, at least, it was, until a ruckus sprung up down the hall, where the guards were stationed.
“Please, if I could explain-“ a young woman’s voice echoed off the stone walls. “It’s really not what you think-“
“I know what we were told,” came Agnes’ voice, carrying the usual monotone with a hint of frustration. “Mister Behrinn told us you were breakin’ into his barn and disturbing the sheep-“
“But one of them was sick – I heard her bleating and I was only trying to-“
“Likely story,” Agnes said, “But you broke into the barn, and regardless of what you were tryin’ to do, that’s still private property. You’ll sit til someone comes to pay bail for you, or til you’ve done yer time.”
Agnes finished just as they came into view, and Julius was surprised at the woman accompanying the tall guard.
He placed her around his own age, but she seemed a bit lacking in self-confidence as she looked around the prison with wide, scared eyes. She had on sensible boots and leggings, but her skirt was sheer and her arms were mostly bare, revealing faint markings on them that appeared to be tattoos. Julius didn’t, however, see any form of fur shawl or even a cloak, and he wondered how she had stayed warm in the chilly north of Tal’dorei.
“Please, my friends don’t know where I went, and they don’t know I’m here – If you see Grog, he’s a goliath, or Pike or Scanlan – they’re gnomes, or Vax or Vex who are half-elves, but with black hair – not red like mind – or Tiberius, who’s a dragonborn…” The woman trailed off in her rambling, and dropped her gaze. “Could you- could you maybe let them know I’m here?”
“You said yer name’s Keyleth, right?” Agnes said with a sigh.
Keyleth nodded, and she looked like she was seconds away from bursting into tears.
Agnes nodded, letting go of one of Keyleth’s arms to rub the bridge of her nose.
“If I see any of them with those descriptions, I’ll let them know you’re here,” Agnes promised, patting Keyleth’s shoulder. “But I’m working, so I can’t go lookin’ for them, right? They’ll have to show up first.”
“Oh, thank you!” Keyleth exclaimed, turning toward Agnes, free arm outstretched as if to give her a hug. “Um, I mean, thank you very much,” she amended, dropping her arm and her gaze, her cheeks turning pink.
“It’s no problem,” Agnes said, taking a moment to fumble with a ring of keys until she found the one she was looking for. “Just doing my job.”
Keyleth was escorted into the cell, and Julius couldn’t help smiling at her happier expression, which seemed to practically radiate joy in contrast to her earlier despair. She was certainly different than the townsfolk who’d been locked away over the course of his stay.
“And look – I don’t think you’re too terrible a person, so keep yer head down, and you’ll be outta here soon enough,” Agnes said, nodding as she locked the door again.
“Okay!” Keyleth agreed, waving as the woman turned to head back to the front door. “Thank you, Agnes!”
Agnes chuckled, the first time Julius had heard her do so, and gave a small salute to the woman before continuing back down the hall.
Julius watched as Keyleth looked around, drying her cheeks with one hand, until her eyes fell on him and she nearly jumped backward in surprise.
“Oh! I-I didn’t realize someone else was here,” she said, eyes wide as they scanned his form. He guessed that she was trying to determine the reason for the rips in his clothing where a sword had torn through them, though his wounds were, for the most part, healed. As a whole she seemed harmless enough, if a bit on the stranger side.
“Not really anywhere else for me to go,” he said, shrugging. He glanced around the cell, at the chamber pot that was emptied twice a day and the plain bed he slept on, a threadbare blanket on top of it that kept out a minimal amount of the winter chill.
Keyleth looked taken aback at his reply, but nodded, scratching her head with her fingers and tangling them in her hair, much like Vesper did… had done, when she was nervous or deep in thought. His oldest younger sister had always had to do something with her hands while thinking, and he remembered her often worrying the fabric of her sleeve or spinning her quill between her fingers during lessons.
“I’m here because a farmer thought I was stealing his sheep,” Keyleth said, as if she were condemning herself to death.
“So I heard.”
The skin on Keyleth’s face flushed pink as she winced. “Right, you were here for that. Sorry, It’s my first time getting arrested. I-“
“It’s quite alright,” Julius interrupted, quite sure she was going to ramble on if he didn’t preempt the rest of her apology. “You were a little preoccupied, and, well, there’s a first time for everything, isn’t there?”
“I suppose,” Keyleth agreed, biting her lip again and twirling her fingers through her hair some more. She took a deep breath, opened her mouth as if to say something, then shut it again. After another indecisive moment, she stuttered out: “I- um- If you don’t mind me asking, that is- Can I know- Could I know- I mean-“
Julius chuckled, and Keyleth winced again.
“Sorry…”
“You want to know why I’m in here?” Julius asked, not able to stop a grin from pulling at the corners of his lips. The young woman continued to remind him of his sister, especially during their speech classes with Professor Anders. The oldest de Rolo daughter had been rather shy at a young age (perhaps not quite as self-conscious as Keyleth), but she’d worked hard at her lessons and found a confident side of her that she exercised with impunity. “I was formally arrested for disturbing the peace.”
“And, informally?”
“I tried to kill a man, and failed.”
Julius really hoped she wouldn’t pry. Keyleth hardly looked the sort to have dealt with death or murder in her past, and Julius didn’t want to taint her view of the world because he’d been stupid. He also didn’t want to talk about his past, but that was beside the point.
When her eyes widened, he worried he’d gone too far, but she simply blinked and tilted her head, face softening.
“Does he deserve it?” she asked.
He blinked, and he felt the center of his chest constrict, an unexpected heat rising beneath his cheeks.
“He does,” Julius forced out, clearing his throat. He wondered who exactly she was, to appear both so naïve and yet so understanding of the pain the world could offer. He was beginning to suspect he had underestimated her at first glance, based on the suddenly guarded look in her eyes.
“I’m sorry,” she said, her voice soft.
“There’s nothing you can do about it.”
“I can still be sorry that the world is shitty sometimes,” Keyleth said. She worried her bottom lip between her teeth and hugged herself, seeming to finally notice the chill in the air. A look back over her shoulder revealed only a thin blanket similar to the one in Julius’ cell, and he could see her face fall as she realized the less-than meager comfort it would give her.
He watched as she picked it up, shook it out, folded it in half, and wrapped it around her shoulders like a shawl. She tried to pull it tighter and frowned again.
“Cold?” Julius asked, and Keyleth nodded.
“We- that is, my friends and I, we came up to the Umbra Hills on business, and we packed for the trip, but I left all of my warm clothes in the room because the snow had stopped before I went walking, and it wasn’t too cold, but then I heard the sheep and of course they didn’t let me stop back at the inn before coming here. I grew up in the mountains with my people, so usually I’d be fine, but even in the winter we layer clothes so we don’t get too cold.”
“Your people?” Julius asked, furrowing his brow. He tried to come up with a people who lived in the mountains. The only he could think of that lived in the Alabaster Sierras were Mountain Giants, and while he’d never seen them, he knew Keyleth was not of that particular race.
“The Ashari,” Keyleth clarified, shouldering herself and lifting her chin. “I am Keyleth of the Air Ashari.”
Julius scanned his memory for the Ashari, and remembered them mentioned in one of his history books, though there hadn’t been much information on them.
“Aren’t the Ashari rather reclusive?”
“Oh, you know us?” Keyleth asked, immediately brightening up.
Julius chuckled. “I know of them, yes,” he said, “though I’ve only heard stories. I must say, it is an honor to meet you.”
He bowed at the waist in her direction, only slightly because of the lingering pain in his ribs. She laughed and he grinned.
“You’re almost as bad as Tiberius!” she exclaimed, shaking her head. “I might be on my Aramenté, but it’s not like I’m truly of noble blood or anything.”
“Your… Aramenté?” Julius asked, the word unfamiliar on his tongue.
“Oh, yes!”
Keyleth explained about the journey she was on, about travelling across Tal’dorei and the surrounding continents to visit the other tribes of her people – three beside her own – and told him some of what she might learn from each of them. Julius, who had never had much interaction with magic users beyond the clerics of Erathis and Pelor in Whitestone, his mentor Teilo, or the occasional arcane caster, was fascinated by some of her descriptions.
He asked her some questions, she answered them and asked some of her own, and they built up a rapport of sorts – the physical distance between their cells negated by the easy flow of their words. It was, without a doubt, the most Julius had talked to a single person in years, but he was glad to find it wasn’t as awkward as he thought it might be.
When Keyleth shivered again, Julius offered her his own blanket, citing his warmer clothing and higher tolerance for the winter air as reasons for not needing it. She accepted with only a slight reservation, and Julius had the fun challenge of balling up the fabric and throwing it across the clear center area between them. He’d never been the weak one of the family, but rarely did he need to throw something – especially something so bulky. There was also the added struggle of the bars being in his way, but Julius did manage to land the bundle of cloth only a foot from Keyleth’s cell, where she was able to stretch out an arm between the bars and take hold of it.
“Thanks again,” she said, unfolding her own blanket and matching up their corners before wrapping the new double-layered shawl around her shoulders.
“It was no trouble,” Julius said, smiling. “I’m glad it’s with someone who actually needs it.”
In truth, he was feeling a bit of a chill from the air that was growing steadily cooler as the sun sank outside and the light from the skylight faded, but the company and inane conversation warmed a part of him he hadn’t realized was cold to begin with.

🏰⚔️ DMODT- 14 start
"Flame?" "When you read a spell, it like paints a guide in your head. Not when the mage had woken scared, and immediately searched for him. When Eren woke, they rose. After a quick fuck with Eren bent over the bathroom counter, he found Eren was almost as bad as he was when it came to personal hygiene. Letting Eren take first shower, the teen scrubbed himself down, and cleaned himself out as if Levi wasn't watching. Levi's cheeks were burning red. There were so many sides to Eren, and he was only just beginning to scratch the surface.
