clarifying my latest post i don't mean character should always be opposite types bc

1 like in the quixote example a character can still foil another without them being opposite types

2 most people don't care about mbti and that's ok and writers shouldn't be forced to learn it bc of that

3 you shouldn't change the nature of a character just to force them to oppose another character's type bc mbti is not to force people into boxes :)

i just like it when it happens bc i'm a mbti nerd and i like the idea of foils being opposite types ok

#also foils who are not opposite but intead they have opposite function preferences would also be really cool #like an ESFP and an ENTP #still same temperament but their function preference is opposite (S-F-T-N/N-T-F-S in this case)#or same function preference but the direction is opposite #for example an ESFP with an ISFJ (Se-Fi-Te-Ni opposing to Si-Fe-Ti-Ne)#the three cases are great to me #i think my fave is still the opposite types case bc i just love how opposite types are two sides of the same coin like #ESFP (Se-Fi-Te-Ni) and INTJ (Ni-Te-Fi-Se) isn't that just so fucking great #same functions. opposite order. bc of these two things you are both extremely different yet extremely similar #i fucking love it bro i fucking love it #look at me being a huge nerd #EDIT BC OMG: CHARACTER FOILS WHO ARE THE SAME FUCKING TYPE BUT THEY USE THEIR FUNCTIONS DIFFERENTLY.#ONE OF THEM IS A HEALTHY TYPE AND THE OTHER UNHEALTHY #OR THEY ARE BOTH (UN)HEALTHY AND WHAT CHANGES IS THE FACT THEY USE THEIR FUNCTIONS DIFFERENTLY BASED #ON THEIR MORALITY #FOR EXAMPLE: OUR BESTIE JESUS CHRIST AND THAT FUCKING BITCH AD*LF H*TLER #WHO ARE LITERALLY BOTH INFJS BUT ONE IS GOOD AND THE OTHER A FUCKING MONSTER #IMAGINE TWO CHARACTER FOILS LIKE THEM OMG #so yeah now i have ideas for four different types of character foils now i'm extremely pleased with my ideas #tio morcego tá doidão #tio morcego tá tagarela
