#fun story #i ordered 3 things from hot topic. they shipped but never arrived so a couple weeks later i messaged them abt it #and went back and forth with them for a while bc their customer service agents cant read apparently #before being told i had to call bc one of the things i ordered went out of stock and i was replacing it w smth more expensive #so i call and im on the phone for like a fucking hour missing the 15 minute window i have to eat between jobs #and being on the phone at work for a while lmao #i finally get it done and the guy fucking forgets my apartment number in the shipping address. it's in the billing address tho??#so i email them AGAIN and im like yo your man forgot my apartment number. they cancel that order and place another #the effect this has is that the $14 payment for the more expensive item is cancelled as well. bc again they don't read #so im like sick i will effectively get these $60 pants for $15 (im very good at sales and also manipulating customer service)#but apparently when they replaced the order they put ny apartment number not in the address‚ but as part of my name?????#so i think its fucking up usps. but it came in 2 packages and 1 has arrived so i still have hope. but thats not the end #yesterday guess who fuckin calls me. its hot topic. my original order arrived to the fuckin store in my local mall #and theyre like i think we fucked up bc we just found this package but it says you picked up your order already. do u want it #and i was like yes? not really sure what package to be expecting and its my ORIGINAL FUCKING ORDER #so once this package arrives i will have gotten 2 of the same shirt‚ 2 kiki sign things‚ a sweater‚ and a pair of pants for $40 #and i figure i can return one of the shirts and one of the signs that i have duplicates of for store credit of their full price #so anyway yeah. thats been the past 3 weeks for me.

Man garage sales are always so hit or miss

They should just have them set up in a big parking lot and have it be like a flea market so I dont have to keep getting in and out of my car for boring sales

We went to one this summer that advertised it being a "plant sale" as well and we were like oh that sounds fun!! Yeah they were selling mostly dead cuttings in water for $3 each. Bitch. And half dead succulents for $5 (tiny ones, not worth the price) and like the saddest little cacti for $4 it was so depressing man

Then we went to some yesterday and I got a lot of ornaments but nothing really fun like last summer when I got like 4 "cherished teddies" figurines for like $2 each

Like idk what it was but the citywide sale last year was FUN we went to like 5 different ones and one guy was selling dentist chairs and dental machinery from the 90s (his buddy was a dentist and had passed away from cancer, leaving the business to the friend. He had no experience nor desire so he was just trying to offload it).

We came home with so many bags of shit last year and this year it was like one bag and 90% was ornaments, some we got for free from an old church friend

I remember two years ago we went to this really big church garage sale and got so much shit then it started POURING RAIN so hard the tents concaved 😭 and the people running it were like "just give us $20 for the whole lot it's fine, you're drenched go." And my mom had to like reverse haggle them into taking $50 bc it was A LOT of stuff. Eventually she got them to take $20 for the items and a $20 donation sgdgdggd

The next year they moved it to an indoor venue and it was super organized. They declared they were never doing it outside again lmaooo

#marquilla #idk i just wanted to babble ab them sgdggdvd #church garage sales always have a lot of shit and you can find good stuff for real cheap bc they're always like oh shit we didnt expect yall #to 'donate' THIS much shit 😰 and then price stuff super low like precious moments for $2 when you can easily get upwards of $10 bc theyre #still highly collectable (ask me how i know (; ) like they retail in stores for $50-100 especially the disney ones like people will FIGHT #over them 😭 its wild #i always feel bad when i see big collections at individual garage sales bc that usually means grandma died and we need to get rid of this #but also i will still gladly riffle through the collection and see if grandma and i had similar taste in PMs sgsgdggdgdgdgd #i saw a sad boy clown one yesterday and i was gonna get it for my bashful girl clown one but it was too meh for me agdgdgdggd #im hoping there will be cherished teddies at the other church sale this summer 👀 i got some wonderland themed ones last year and was so #hyped agdgdggd the alice one ive yet to see irl but its not as cute as the ones i found sgdgdgdg i even got the heart rose bush piece!

finally a life update: i quit my job as a receptionist because of my boss who didn’t want to pay me my full salary but i got the money back eventually but it all was very stressful and i started being so anxious again. i took some time for myself and didn’t search for a job in a while but i was stressing about money so i had to look for something anyways. i went to a few job interviews a few weeks ago but they didn’t call me back but i probably got the job yesterday. i was at the job interview to work at the store and they called me yesterday evening that they want me to have a trial day next wednesday and if everything’s okay i will start full time job in january so i feel more secure now but the shifts are terrible because i will have to start at 6am very often😭

#yesterday was a busy day btw #as i said i got the job at the store but i also went for a one day job (?) idk how to say it in english #it was so spontaneous because i found it in the bus while i was on my way for the store job interview😭 and they called that they wanted me #yesterday and i worked in massimo dutti warehouse in the mall but it wasn’t as easy as i thought it was actually hard and i didn’t enjoy it #at all #but at least they played maroon twice and mastermind so i took it as a good sign😃#life update

#I had to take Serge to the vet yesterday and the whole ordeal totally has my mind all blurry #he has a uti but he's home now with meds #and a new diet #some good news is my first step in making a physical media library is complete and I found a blu ray/dvd player at the thrift store #so now I can just start collecting me dvds #but first I need a new remote for the player lmao #so I'm a little stuck atm #but besides that I have little urge to draw or ideas but I'd like to be creative bc I've got a ton of overstimulation/frustration #that all I can really do is sleep off
