I, Flathead is the culmination of Cooder’s trilogy exploring a historic/mythic/surreal California, following Chavez Ravine (2005) and My Name Is Buddy (2007) On this remarkable 14-song album, he assumes the gruff yet chummy voice of Kash Buk, a hard-living, car-racing, guitar-playing man with a space-alien sidekick.

How are you liking Jedi: Survivor so far?

I haven't had a chance to play it yet since it isn't available on my consle yet :( but it looks really good!

I AM LOVING IT A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's so good to see cal my baby boy again (so grown up!!! i love his new outfit so much i keep ignoring the game when it gives me new hairs and fits) and i'm only a few hours in but I'm really enjoying the plot/themes it's setting up!! much like the first game im goin thru the whole thing like YES!! THIS IS HOW TRIPLE-A GAMES SHOULD FEEL!!!!

Image dump time!! Here's a collection of little things I have been working on. Those black boots I painted/embroidered was the last project I was working on before I got covid :(

But I had the opportunity to work on a few smaller things while I was recovering! I am doing better now, I am quarantining for a little longer just to be careful 💚

[Image ID: The first image is of a little fishbone stamp I made out of an old eraser. It's a little messy looking and I used red ink to stamp it onto paper.

The next two images are of a rectangular white cotton patch, with a red vertical line on the side and about 15 blue horizontal lines throughout it with a blank gap at the top, mimicking notebook paper. This project is unfinished currently.

The next three images are of a headband with foam antlers I painted to look as realistic as I could, and both antlers are wrapped with leaf ribbon and wire-stemmed pink and white flowers. There's a little fake bird glued to the top of the right antler.

The last two images are of a flowery pillowcase that I mended using little squares of scrap cotton fabric underneath, with visible stitching throughout it to secure the entire patch onto the pillowcase. The hole I mended was about the size of a penny I think. End ID]

I honestly don't know why. But I think Vox was Canadian. I have no reason to believe this. It affects absolutely nothing and noone, it certainly doesn't affect my viewing experience. But in my head it's always been true. Canadian until proven otherwise.

So there’s this tank I found on the side of the dumpster in a trusted site.

I want to raise aquatic insects with one of these. What’s the protocol gang? Is this feasible?-it holds water fine. I’m gonna hose it out and disinfect it this week before it touches my car- any advice on disinfecting a tank is welcome.

I’m thinking dytiscids or belostomatids as my top choices for a main big insect and I also want to incorporate some native bog plants. Please share any advice and perhaps even aquatic insect suggestions for a southern USA wetland biome. I’ve only raised damselflies before in a really shit environment, I wanna do this one right.

Had a pretty long post drafted up and unfinished about transphobia discourse and labels like TME, TMA, transandrophobia/transmisandry and so on. But I don't feel like putting out many words when few words do trick.

It's all the same shit. Even when I was still a woman, I knew that the sexism in everyday life disadvantages men as well. Less than women, yes, but it is still a problem. You can split it into misogyny and misandry or androphobia or whatever word you like, and for a lot of discussion that is necessary, but they're still subgroups of sexism and they're linked forever and ever. They're two sides of the same shit-caked coin.

You've got the same with transphobia. There's transmisogyny and there's [word of choice for bigotry against transmascs]. Transmisogyny is more prevalent and more harmful, and transmascs face both similar and different issues on a smaller scale. They're still subgroups of transphobia and they're linked forever and ever. They're two sides of the same shit-caked coin.

If you want to push it further; transphobia derives heavily from sexism. They're different sides of the same shit-caked... dice?

It's all fucked, be kind to each other, transphobia affects us all. And I mean all.
