plus a bonus comic cuz a friend suggested that he has a quick and easy way to salvage his clothes since hes constantly getting in situations that could ruin his drip:

#sonic the hedgehog #sonic fanart #sth #sonic redesign #details that i like the most about the final design:#tips of his quills are frosted to mimic how hedgehogs' quills actually look #darker fur color around his face arms and legs #the glove that has integrated tech that tails gave to him :3 (acts as a speedometer a communicator ect.)#the googles to keep debris out of his eyes that can also be cartoony and expressive!#and of course the lightening bolt motifs everywhere heehee #i wanted to take a more mature take on his design without making it too far from the source material #wanted to keep that sleekness about him while showing a bit of a... idk .. growing into himself?#i honestly really like how hes portrayed in frontiers and how hes a little more gruffer but still himself #i wanted to lean into that with him #like #ill prolly do more for the rest of the crew who knows #moon art

#slay the princess #2024 #ok im retroactively adding design notes in tags now #i wouldve liked to have Damsels abs out lol but it just looked too silly.#but i like to think as you deconstruct him his shirt gets more and more open until you reach the final doodle with the rigid hard abs #Damsel princess has like extra frills on her dress so Damsel prince here has (gold) trim on his sleeves and down the sides of his trousers #Happily Ever After prince has a cape to kinda evoke the same billowy shape of the big fancy dress #i think the epaulettes on a open chest shirt is kinda silly LOL but i think i made it work somehow #the princess has mascara run down her face so here I gave him like heavy bags under his eyes #also looking now I wish I didnt make his head too big oh well #oh yeah I mentioned this in my first Slay the Prince drawing but I think Damsel would be called Charming instead (from Prince Charming)#but i just kept saying Damsel here to avoid confusion #slay the prince
