this is gonna sound so funny from The Pig and Duck Person BUT i just want to again thank you all and tell you how much the support has meant for my shilling of this film/countless pig and duck posting, i get very stuck inside my head and feel like i have to tamp down on my posting and "if i post too much about the pig and duck something catastrophic will happen" (hyperbole. but i live by a very neurotic set of self appointed rules, even for as freeform and enthusiastic as i am) and my neuroses about these characters is. WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more deep than i let on on here. some of you know this. wink wink nudge nudge. BUT ANYWAY, i was very worried i would be seen as obnoxious and like a corporate shill or just someone tirelessly posting about the same exact thing SO YOUR SUPPORT MEANS A LOT!! it's a good reminder that i need to CHILLLL OUT. Tumblr is sort of my more relaxed online space to begin with, but i never realized how much i was still sort of repressing/masking/"I Am Normal"-ing myself until letting myself be adamant about the pig and duck since the situation calls for it. No but seriously for all those who relate to Mr. Puzzles just want you to know your accomplishments alone do not define your value and worth as a person. Even when you’re a messy work in progress, you are loved and appreciated more than you may recognize. Thank you for being here. Don’t get me wrong it’s good to be idealistic and set goals, but don’t undermine yourself if you don’t get that perfect score….or if you start to fall behind compared to everyone else. Everyone goes through those moments of doubt or perceived failure. We need to fail every once in a while. And that’s okay

I feel so bad for Louis after he reconciles with Lestat. He tries so hard to smooth things over between Claudia and Lestat and get them to get along. I've been the person in the middle of a family trying to mediate and it's exhausting and soul draining. I get why he gives up and sinks back into despair.

that post about which was the first thing you read fanfic got me thinking about like. fan and fandom behaviors. how like. aged 10 or 11 and just through sheer power of will and armed with a crappy little camera and the pre-installed video editing software on my dad's laptop I would create """"edits"""" of my then current fandom obsession 😭😭😭 not even for anyone else, literally just because it was such a joyous little activity 😭😭😭 like I'd draw the blinds, so there were no reflections, then neatly filmed the laptop screen only so I could then clip the videos down and rearrange the scenes and put my favorite songs underneath 😭😭😭 I didn't even show it to anyone!!! I was just like!!! look!!! my thing!!! 😭😭😭 this was before I even had an email address fdkghkdf let alone any accounts anywhere, I was just yearning for the fandom experience dhgakldfhgkdf and isn't that so fun in a way? that you love something so much you just. invent your way around engaging with it so intensely??? idk man, I'm having a very grateful that fandoms exist and grateful that I've had the chance to spend so much time in spaces with people who have shared the passions I've had time

idk if it's fair to blame the chronically online brain (or the expectation thereof from writers) for recent movies being as subtle as a sledgehammer to the temple but i will either way. first the substance and now mickey 17 seem to have absolutely no faith in their audience's comprehension skills and just, hand you the metaphor and then make sure you got it about 80 billion times. maybe it's good to have such an obvious message in these times, especially given people's habit to interpret satirical characters as role models, but when your main antagonist looks about 2 foundation shades away from an snl trump impression it feels like you're just making bad art
