Hey!!
Are you a fan of:
She ra
ATLA
The Owl House
Kipo
Wendell and Wild
Amphibia
Mitchells vs. the machines
Gravity Falls
Dead End
Puss in Boots and the last wish
Into the Spiderverse
Then I have a movie for you!!
Nimona is a movie coming out tomorrow, June 30th that’s been 7 years in the making! It’s based off the tumblr webcomic turned best-selling graphic novel of the same title.
It was originally being made by Blue Sky Studios and was going to have a theatrical release aimed around 2021, but after Disney acquired them and shut the studio down the film was scrapped. The movie was only about 10 months away from being finished, and it was shut down after Disney execs had pushed back against the queer themes/characters in the movie. BUT, Annapurna studios picked the film back up and finished it!!
Onto the film itself!
The movie follows Nimona, a spunky shapeshifter who teams up with the knight Ballister Boldheart (previously Ballister Blackheart in the graphic novel) after he was framed for a crime he didn’t commit and sent on the run. His ex-boyfriend, Ambrosius Goldenloin, is tasked with hunting them down, but is conflicted between fulfilling his duty and his feelings.
The animation style is stunning and dynamic, and the visuals are so so good!! I would highly recommend checking out the movie and supporting it when it comes out, this is a big step for stylized animation and also queer rep in animation as well!
But the best part is that it just looks like an amazing movie!!

It seems the Nimona fandom has decided that Ballister is god and the best at everything, and I'm here to fix that, so here's a list of things I think Ambrosius would be better at than (or on the same level as) Ballister (this is about the movie versions, feel free to add your own or argue in the reblogs):
Cooking 🍳: after he saw Ballister cooking for himself for the first time, Ambrosius took interest (it was also a major reality check for him. He started learning on his own and took some classes, primarily because he wanted to impress Ballister and feel like he was good enough for him. On their first date, Ambrosius took Ballister on a picnic, all the food was made by Ambrosius himself. He also partially learned how to cook BC of his allergy.
Socialising: he hates it, but he can do it, with Bal it's a problem of anxiety, with Amb it's a problem of will.
Botany 🌿, zoology 🐺, and psychology🧠: Bal has a better grip in biology, chemistry, maths, engineering, and physics, but when it comes to behaviour patterns, Amb is better (botany is because it's something Amb is extremely passionate about)
Which brings us to gardening 🧑🌾: partly because I want to believe that Amb still has some similarities to his comic counterpart.
Long range combat: Bal has hand to hand and short range combat in the bag, but in long range combat Ambrosius is better (he underperformed in some of his tests on purpose so they couldn't kick Ballister out)(that's also why they're the dream team). He's also better with long range weapons (archery and sniper guns)
Reading 📗: Bal and Amb have about the same level of reading comprehension, but Ambrosius can read slightly faster.
Kids 🧒: Amb and Bal have the same level of skill in handling kids, but when it comes to levels of popularity, the closer to the outskirts you are, the more popular Bal is and vice versa, the closer you are to the central city, the more popular Ambrosius is.
Dancing 💃: when it comes to the club, they have roughly the same dancing skills, but Amb isn't as shy, when it comes to partner dancing (ballroom and Latin) Amb is better.
Walk in heels 👠: Bal can do this, but still struggles a little when it's 4 inch heels or longer, Amb can handle high heels without even the slightest bit of a struggle.
Diplomacy: Bal has the ideas, Ambrosius does the talking.
Social media: I think this one is self explanatory, Ambrosius has a better hang on how social media works.
Humour 😂: Ambrosius is deemed objectively funnier because his humour is adaptive (his entire personality was perfectly curated to appeal to as many people as possible).
Now for the less safe for work
Drinking 🍸: I wanna believe Amb is slightly better at holding his alcohol, just because.
Kissing 💋: Amb is slightly more experienced, and communicative, while Bal is still learning what he prefers.
Bedroom 🛏️: see above mention. Bal and Amb were each other's first time, but Amb is better at communicating and is more flexible (he can switch positions easily, set the mood, dirty talk, dominate, submit, etc)

Hi Tumblr :D 👋
My name is Sundew, I’m a MINOR (high school age) I’m acespec, pan, trigender, xenogender, ambiamorous, and use all pronouns
I’m an artist, actor, script writer, theatre kid, and AuDHD haver
Current hyperfixations: DSMP, Hatchetverse, The Skinjacker Trilogy reincarnation AU, my OC's
Special Interests: DSMP, musical theatre, casinos, Tumblr history, and some others that I can’t think of off the top of my head
Current fandoms: DSMP, musical theatre (especially Hatchetverse), Trolls, Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus, Amphibia, TOH, DDLC, The Skinjacker Trilogy, ROTTMNT, Ramshackle (kind of), QSMP (kind of), Gravity Falls, Steven Universe Nimona, Mitchel’s vs the Machines, Chikn Nugget (that counts as a fandom right?), Bluey, SheRa, Ducktales, Adventure Time, Vocaloid, Tangled the Series, DHMIS, Descendants, Moral Orel, and probably more tbh
I'm currently working on 5 different DSMP AU's/ animated fanfics, and one day I would like to make 'DSMP the Animated Series' and my high fantasy OC's cartoon, both of which would be indie animated and available on YouTube (but we'll cross those bridges when we get there)
This blog does not support cc!Wilbur or his actions, cc!Wilbur supporters DNI
Speaking of DNI, here’s my DNI list: queerphobes in ANY way (and that includes hating on xenogender people and people who use neopronouns), racists, sexist/misogynists, zionists, antisemitic/neo-nazis, islamophobes, anti therian and anti furry people, cc!Wilbur Soot/William Gold supporters, cc!Dream Team supporters, Robert Manion supporters
I post very sporadically because of school (and by post I mean post creative works, like fanart and scripts), but when I do post, it’ll mainly be DSMP stuff (especially my own AU’s), but I will also post stuff for other fandoms, especially Hatchetverse
I’m absolutely obsessed with c!TNT duo and with take pretty much any opportunity I can get to draw/talk about them. Same with Wilbur Cross and the Lords in Black (and Webby)
Like I said earlier, I don’t not support cc!Wilbur in any way shape or form. That being said I really really super like c!Wilbur (o!Wilbur and q!Wilbur are neat too) and most of my AU’s have him as a big role
Feel free to ask me about my DSMP or Hatchetverse headcanons (or headcanons for any other fandom listed above), just know I might not always answer immediately because of school and shit like that
Also, I have a few side blogs:
@csundewsaysfuckitwebawl my DSMP OC role play blog
@yousummonusonceyousummonustwice my Lords in Black and Queen in White ask blog
@just-a-lil-theatre-guy my Hatchetverse OC role play blog
@bursssss-hesmyson my c!Wilbur AUs ask blog
Double also, say hello to my Tumblr siblings:
@rxccoonboo @cotableats (which is an account he and our friend Cota share) @a-sociopath-do-your-research @rae-unbeloved @loneycorner
@alchemicalwerewolf @silverwaredrawersys @beattlecub (no longer on Tumblr 😔😔😔)
Triple also, finally updated my pronouns
Anyway, I hope you all have a nice day and enjoy my Tumblr :D

Troy Quane and Nick Bruno on queer representation and mental health in Nimona
I attended a Q and A with Troy Quane and Nick Bruno, the directors of Nimona, four days ago. I tried to transcribe as much as I could but most of this is paraphrased
Obviously Nimona is filled with messages about queerness and mental health but the movie wasn't always explicitly about that. When they first came onto the project, they looked at the comic and said "Ok, it's a story about acceptance. That's easy." But they quickly found themselves getting stumped. They tried a few different plot lines, but none were really landing the way they wanted them to. So, they went back to the comic and asked themselves, "What about this resonated with audiences?" The main thing they found was the queer themes and they decided to lean into it.
The problem was that they had no idea how to do that so they started talking with people. They opened up the conversation to everyone on the production team, not just the story department, as well as lgbt support groups, their families, and even building facility workers. Once the conversation got started, Nick Bruno said it was amazing; "There were people I had worked with for sixteen years suddenly coming out because they felt comfortable doing so." As more people voiced their experiences Quane and Bruno realized that this story was going to be incredibly important to a lot of people.
That's part of the reason why they pushed hard for this movie to be made. They said that they finished a bunch of demo reels at Blue Sky and were going to show them to the team on Thursday. Disney shut down Blue Sky that Tuesday. They showed the reels anyway over zoom and said it was a very tearful meeting. A lot of the people whose voices and experiences had gone into it had to find jobs on new projects. They said they were calling as many industry friends as possible and pitching the reels to everyone they could because they felt it was too important a story to abandon. They knew how many personal experiences and feelings were already engrained in the story and how detrimental it would be, both to the story and their coworkers, if they let it die. They didn't want to lose the voices of "the people they loved" just because Disney said so.
They elaborated on this saying that the reason why Disney wanted to change it so much was that they felt it "was too specific a story to appeal to a wide audience." Troy Quane said that he actually found it was the opposite. The more they focused in on being othered because of queerness, the more they were able to explore being othered because of race, class, neurodivergence, disability, and a million other things. Because they got so specific, they were able to relate the story to everyone.
Troy Quane also said that he wasn't expecting the reaction they got to the movie. He shared a story about a screening they did in Toronto. He said, "Afterwards we were all kinda hanging out in the lobby and I saw a man hanging around in the back. He looked like he wanted to say something but was kind of nervous about it, so I waved him over. He said, 'Thank you for making this movie. The entire third act with Nimona...' And then he just broke down in my arms. I stood there for about five minutes hugging this stranger. It was astounding. ...I still haven't processed it." To lighten the mood, Nick Bruno joked, "I haven't had anyone hug me!" Quane responded with "I was just hugging you backstage!"

#i had to include that joke they said at the end bc i thought it was very sweet and funny#nimona#nimona netflix#nimona movie#nimona 2023

I finally watched Nimona and, yeah, fuck, it made me feel things. And because this is how my brain works I immediately started thinking of all the similarities & parallels to The Owl House and how the characters would interact with each other. Here’s what my genius mind has cooked up so far:
• Nimona hasn’t interacted with peers since Gloreth so being thrust into a friend group takes some warming up to (yeah she’s actually like a thousand years old but c’mon she’s a teenager in every way that matters). The Hexsquad is patient, but they’re also persistent, with each finding their own way to bond with her over time. Luz bonds with her over drawing & soon they’re writing graphic novels together (I’m very clever). Willow sets her up with a pizza garden (seeds & plants for tomato, onion, garlic, mushrooms, basil, peppers, oregano, and OLIVES- rip Ambrosius). Gus & Nim come up with a game where she transforms into anything or anyone she wants and Gus tries to use his illusions to copy her. Amity tells Nim all about the Bonesborough Brawl and the two of them train together for the rest of the year to enter the next competition. Hunter introduces her to all the Palismen of the forest, who accept her instantly when she transforms to play with them. She can talk to Vee about what it’s like to be a shapeshifter, and how it felt to think they’d never be accepted most of their lives and then suddenly find themselves with a loving family. Nim & King Go Goblin Mode Every. Damn. Day.
• At first, Ballister is incredibly nervous about her spending time alone with these strange children. After all, he’s the first person she’s been able to trust in a thousand years, so her social skills are a little rusty, and he doesn’t know these damn kids so how can he know they’re really his baby’s friends??? Goblin Mode may be activated, but so is Protective Dad Mode. Of course, they win him over when he sees how happy Nimona is with them and how genuinely kind & welcoming they are.
• Nimona & the Clawthorne Kids become a team of awesome chaos. Rules are made to be broken. Property will be damaged. Bread puns will be made. Eda likes to joke that one day she’ll snatch the kid up & make her an official Clawthorne. Ballister promises that if she ever tries it she’ll lose the other arm.
• Speaking of which, whenever Bal’s prosthetic arm comes off, Eda tosses off the hook as fast as she can, Naruto runs at him, and bumps her arm stub up against his, declaring that they alone have paid “the true price of love”. Ambrosius doesn’t think it’s very funny, but Raine does.
• Ballister, Ambrosius, Lilith & Hunter have all gotten together to form a “So You Were Brainwashed Into Dedicating Yourself To A Crooked System” support group.
So yeah, this is where my mental state is at. Feel free to add onto my madness.

Hello I realize I am following you and should probably get to know you
First of all, I’d like to know about your wip, and if you can tell/show me what your characters look like then I’ll draw a little chibi like version of them (I love drawing peoples ocs)
Second of all, what Terry Pratchett book(s) would you recommend the most? I know I should read his work but I’m curious as to what a fan thinks I should start with
oooooohh, thanks for the ask!!
I'll start with my Terry Pratchett recommendations: For Discworld, I would start with the Tiffany Aching series, it's a good introduction to how he handles magic and humor, two key elements of most of his work, and it's also the first series I read in that world. For his non-discworld work, the Truckers, Diggers, Wings trilogy (follows a bunch of tiny gnomes as they cause mayhem and figure out they might actually be aliens) is my absolute favorite. My Dad used to read me that one as a bedtime story when I was like eight, so again there's a sentimental attachment for me, but it's also genuinely great writing.
As far as my WIP, I assume you mean God-Touched since it's the one i post about more frequently. Thank you for asking, let's fuckin' goooooooo!!!
My main influences/inspo for it are Firefly, SPN, Nimona and ND Stevenson's version of She-Ra.
Themes/Tropes are: faith in a higher power VS faith in yourself, love as an obligation VS love as a choice, found/chosen family of living disasters, So Much Queerness In Your Face, parentification trauma and how it affects sibling relationships, trauma and healing in general, and mashing up sci-fi and mythology.
Here's the more formal blurb:
The year is 5027, and the only bibles left are in intergalactic museums. Which is a shame, because the next messiah is here and she could definitely use a guidebook. Meet Azrea Shore: a twenty-something spaceship mechanic who’s much more concerned with finding her missing sister than with saving the Universe. But when she finds out her sister was kidnapped by the Devil, it looks like she’ll have to do both. That would be hard enough even with a crack team.
All Azrea’s got is a fashionista angel, two alien smugglers in a beat-up spaceship, and a weirdly naive soldier who happens to be her sister’s girlfriend. Technically her sister too, but only if they can actually rescue her. This is going to take a miracle, and she’s still learning how to use those.
And, in case you still feel motivated to draw the characters after reading all that, here are the picrews I made for them!!
Okie dokie, that's it for now!

I Hated The Nimona Movie and You All Will Hate Me After You Read This :D
ok im going to be real with all of you here. i could barely get through the nimona movie. i found it dull, uninteresting, and infuriating (and this is just gonna be me rageposting about it so buckle up guys :D im not that passionate about it but i saw a post that got me in a Mood so)
HERE ARE SOME REASONS WHY:
starting with the most subjective and trivial part, i hate the art. it makes me wanna froth at the mouth and die. the big eyes? HATE em. comic art better 100%
second and last petty thing ambrosius' hair . what did they do to you babygirl. like actually whose idea was it to take away his glorius luscious locks in favor of the Stereotypical Animated Movie f*g haircut like seriously>>>?????
but the biggest thing that im upset about is ballister and ambrosius' relationship. WHERE IS THE FUCKING BANTER? WHERE ARE THE SCENES WHERE THEY BEAT EACH OTHER UP? in the comic, they were interesting, they were dark, they were fucked up, and all of that was sacrificed so that they could be "canon" and kiss one time onscreen at the end!!! to be honest i would rather have an interesting and compelling gay relationship left to subtext than a flat, boring, and disinteresting gay relationship that is canon. my opinion but im right so.
AMBROSIUS IN GENERAL? he's just? not even a character? they turned him from a complex and interesting character full of flaws – i mean he was pompous, full of himself, elitist, you name it! he was dumb as rocks! and he was real! in the movie he's just a bland bowl of slop whose only purpose is to feel regret !!!! in the movie he's this everyman good guy, and in the comic – i mean. the whole thing with the comic is that ambrosius, despite caring deeply for ballister, is sort of the bad guy!!! he shot ballister's arm off NOT because he was "disarming a weapon" but because HE LOST A CONTEST. just because he's a Fucked Up interesting dude.
The setting also fucked me up – by setting the story directly after ballister becomes a villain, the movie takes away a lot of the key elements of ballister's character. they took away his deep-rooted anger with ambrosius, with the institution, they took away his villainous principles and competency, and they TOOK AWAY HIS GODDAMN LOVE OF SCIENCE FOR THE LOVE OF FUCK!! JUST TO MAKE HIM INTO THE EMBODIMENT OF THE PLEADING FACE EMOJI WITH ZERO AGENCY IN HIS OWN GODDAMN STORY!
that's just to name a few. the movie was fine, but it was bland, and even though ND worked very closely with the team, i felt it wasn't faithful in the right ways. but hey, two men kiss onscreen and they painfully spell out the trans allegory to the point of nausea, so it HAS to be good, right?
#not trying to offend anyone i just feel very passionately that the comic is better#if you enjoy the movie thats your thing! genuinely dont wanna rain on anyones parade#i just feel that if theres anywhere i can rant about like. this stuff. its here so.#nimona#nimona 2023#ballister blackheart#ambrosius goldenloin#ballister x ambrosius

💕!!??! almost missed this 🥺 mx ferre, what if we... put (more of) our goons in (more) situations 🥺
@mythvoiced / send 💕 and I will tell you some muses…
ahhhh lenlen, the other person on here who enables me with 283948230 plots and dynamics...time for us to add like 8293048293 more 💕💕💕
okay so this was at the top of my list since you said?? That you were planning on bringing EUNJAE into our wonderful thg verse 🥺🥺🥺…and so the first person I actually though of throwing at them was ANNIE….I dunno?? I guess I just have a feeling that Annie would like eunjae for their personality- like they’re rough in mannerisms and a tad messy, both of which Annie doesn’t mind bc she’s used to being around ppl like that ( ie. Ga-ram & ara ) and also…I think she actually prefers…I think being treated completely like a piece of glass will begin to drive her up the wall :’D also my interpretation of annie is suspicious of most men/male-aligning individuals….so eunjae already checks all her boxes there <3
another dynamic I had been thinking about when you changed their fc :’D granted I’m not too sure how well these two would work out since SABRIEL isn’t the best at reading between the lines and ANNIE often operates in shades of grey but it would!! Be fun to see how they interact with one another especially at least for me throwing Annie at someone who is peppy and yet still for most part?? has good intentions?? even if sabriel can’t completely empathize with what Annie is going thru, I do think Annie would appreciate their good intentions at the very least :’D
DOE is a revolutionist (and a hacker, I could have sworn I read that somewhere but if not ignore me jfksljfsl :’D) and so is NELL, do I need to say anything more? granted they are on the same side when it comes to #revolution…but that doesn’t mean they agree to the degree which they should go for it. Doe is all for changing the system, where as team checkmate is more focused on….taking out one and only one enemy and looking out for their community. Perhaps interacting with someone like doe could radicalize her? also if doe is a hacker, nell can always have…a rival :)
okay HEAR ME OUT, I know that we do have EUNJAE and Patrick in verse one but WHAT ABOUT?? Eunjae and MYUNGDAE in verse two bc if Patrick is the competent if not a tad distant parent ( aka he had to adjust to fatherhood ngl ), then myungdae is…well think of say, jeo*ng jin*man from a shop of ki*llers, :’D aka parent that’s there, he just looks ( okay always looks ) a tad exhausted?? Out of it even? But he’s doing his best for four year old Yuri (Elise) even if he doesn’t quite feel his emotions fjskldfjs this is all to say since I’m seeing that lynnie is throwing Dante at them we might as well…bring the rest of the crime world to eunjae’s doorstep JFKLSDJFLD <3
If AERI knows of hyun, then she’s also gotta know…hyun’s sister, MIYOUNG 🤩🤩🤩 granted, Aeri might be a tad testy with miyoung since well, it’s not like miyoung could exactly be there for hyun when they were younger and is that really any different from the way bel and sera treated Aeri as condescendingly inferior :’DD ….but I also do like the idea of LGBTQ+ icons being friends with one another / media pals with one another….that and if hyun is hanging out with bel behind Aeri’s back, Aeri might as well…do the same 😂😂😂
you know who MARÍA reminds me of? Yeah that’s right, our favorite pink hair menace Nimona 🤩🤩🤩 they’re both little gremlins ( but very lovable) who wanna start shit. The revolutionary kind of shit…so this being said….WHAT IF?? Instead of Nimona being the cause of BALLISTER’S shift in mind, it could be maría instead?? We could even do it in their modern verse since I believe María does have one and is a werewolf there 🤔🤔🤔
so I know we already have a lot for them, PATRICK and MARÍA and I am a sucker for hurt/comfort with these two, but perhaps?? Later when the revolution is in full swing and should hyuk be kidnapped by the Capitol, a thread there? Aka Patrick cycles between being 💯 focused on the revolution efforts and being two steps away from a mental breakdown bc literally hyuk is his rock and his peace so take away that and uh….not good things happen. This is all to say, it could be interesting to see a scenario where perhaps maría for once is the stabler one ( however much Patrick will try to still be a pillar of stability for her tho 🥲 )
#mythvoiced#( answered. )#( ferre answered. )#fun fact....if you hadn't sent this in#i would have done it for you sooner or later anyways <3 :)#JFLSDKJFKLS anyways do let me know what you think and of course we don't have to do them all if any also!!#hahahaha for some reason there's a lot of eunjae here...but also eunjae is mi favorite enby so#more plots for them :)#if i think of anymore i will let you know also <3

imagine if XL coudlnt take it anymore and tried to destroy himself like Nimona and it’s etheir XR, Ty or Nebula who’s stops him.
Oh that part of Nimona got to me. Sorry this took a while to answer.
If XL was to have a moment like this, it would likely be after Revenge of the Monsters and he's starting at Star Command.
(Long post under read and Warning, it gets a bit heavy)
XL was shut down because he didn't work like how Commander Nebula wanted him too and he’s coming out of both a bad situation and behaviour, so he's definitely trying to do all he can to meet the appropriate standard and behaviour; he’s working on himself to be better. He would make mistakes at times or say/do something that he would have done when he was a criminal. There are people like XR, Buzz and Ty who are supportive of XL and know that he’s trying.
If XL were to have a moment similar to that in Nimona, I imagine it would be because of Commander Nebula saying something to XL in one of these instances; Nebula has always had issues with robots and machines (there are plenty of times in the show where he’s had issues with XR and talks harshly to him - in NOS’s first episode Nebula was looking at possibly shutting down XR if he didn’t perform well. He would definitely be like this to XL, and he has more bias’ against XL because of the bots past as an enemy of Star Command). It would be something that builds up over time, all of XL’s little mistake getting to Nebula until he goes off at the bot, bringing up all the mistakes he’s made while being there and probably saying how he hasn’t changed at all.
XL is hurt; he feels like he’s back to when he was first brought online only to be promptly shut down. And once again it’s Nebula who’s hurt him, the man that commissioned him to be made and ordered the quick shutdown; his dad, basically, has once again told him his useless. Xl’s been down this path before and chose to get revenge on the very man and place that hurt him, but he knows that it achieved nothing but getting him hurt and almost eaten in the end. He sees only one option that he could take; the one option that he keeps on hearing in his memories. So XL walks away without saying a word to Nebula.
If anyone in Buzz’s team or Ty was there to witness it, they would say something to Nebula about what he said was wrong, and would follow XL to check up on him and see how he’s feeling after what just happened. They’re there for him anytime he needs them.
If none of them were there to witness what happened, they’d probably run into one of the two of them. If they run into Nebula, same things as the paragraph above. If they run into XL, whether it’s in the hall’s or something as the bot’s contemplating, or if he’s about to shut himself down, they’re stopping him knowing something has happened and try to get him to talk or at the least stop thinking/doing was he was going at the moment, so then they could at least talk later. Once XL talks about what happened between him and Nebula, they’re gonna comfort him, they’re gonna let him know that they’re there for him. He’s got a support group
Now, if it was a specific character that to stop XL from hurting himself, XR and/or Ty I think would be the one to stop him, even Buzz potentially (Buzz canonically being the one to get XL to help them stop NOS and to come back to Star Command, Buzz wouldn’t want him to do anything harmful). But I reckon it would be XR or Ty because both would have a better connection with XL.
Nebula I reckon would likely be the cause of XL’s state in this scenario; but even if he was, if someone (especially if it was any of the three in the paragraph above) told him that what he was in the wrong for what he’s said, there is a chance that Nebula (after a lot of thinking and reflecting), he could talk to XL, before he tried to do anything. But in the case that Nebula is not the cause of XL’s state, he could also be another character that would stop XL from doing anything.

@wolfvirago/@shibemuses wants some plots!
Robin comes to Johto as part of her Pokémon adventure and hears something's been lurking around Sprout Tower. Thinking it's a ghost-type Pokémon, she goes up to investigate. Spoilers: it's not a ghost-type Pokémon.
...Honestly Robin and Gold would make a great team when it comes to exploring shit in Johto. Definitely the Burnt Tower in Ecruteak or Mount Silver. Just don't ask him to go to the Whirlpool Islands.
Gold lost his body. Mami lost her head. Together they fight crime.
There's a Tyranitar causing havoc around Johto! Except this Tyranitar's hot pink, has a mouth full of Sharpedo teeth, and holy fuck did it just shapeshift into a person? AKA Gold and Nimona play the most ambitious game of 'Who's That Pokémon?' yet.
Gold chilling with the Moomins.
Celebi and Kyubey get into a Real Housewives-esque catfight over fucking around with the lives of random children.
I feel like Gold and Nezuko would also get along? I'm not sure why, but that's what the vibes are telling me.

I've been waiting for this for so long!!!!
So get ready for a very detailed essay, I mean comment, because I love this so much!
Ps. This is a live comment react.
"Fine!" He resigns, throwing his hands up to the heavens. "But if your plan is "something, something, we win" again, I'm out. I'm so out. You're going to have to ask Todd for help"
Lol, Bal, don't be so cruel. As if you'd ever leave Ambs resigned to that fate.
Also, really love how you're referencing that line of Nimona for this scene. Totally perfect!
"Okay, so..." he starts, taking in a big breath of air. This is going to be long, and boring. Sometimes he's sorry for Ballister, who has to learn all of this things as they go, unlike him, who's been memorizing the rules ever since he learned to read. "The duels, right.
I really like the explanation of the duel. It's very good lore, great thing to imagine.
It also really helps the pacing, and it makes you kinda nervous about what happens next even though the info is not exactly something that would make you nervous. Just...
It's very good for pacing.
Ambrosius licks his lips, grabbing his boyfriend's hands and looking at him straight in the eyes. How wonderful they are, Ballister's eyes.
I love this. It's like... A commercial. Remember what I said about pacing? Well, this kinda helps the reader go "aww" if they felt nervous (like I did) when reading the narrative that was, again, very good for pacing.
"Too bad I'm already in love with what my allies would probably qualify as a disgraceful street rat" Ballister blushes, playfully shoving Ambrosius on the chest...."
When I say I went 'kyaaa' outloud while doing proofreading of essays for my students during a class and had to say "Oh sorry, I almost fell" as an excuse....
I am not kidding. This part is so cute and sweet.
^ Yes, it means I'm also multitasking. But it's a test lesson so I don't have to talk a lot anyway.
"That sounds... extremely complicated" cringing a bit ta the lengths people would go for a chance to figth with his boyfriend, Ballister grimaces. Bunch of weirdos. "I'm not some easy harlot, Ballister. You offend me. Of course trying marrying me is complicated. But, wait, now's where it gets interesting"
I don't know if you saw my short Aladdin AU post but... This is so Jasmine-coded behavior.
You go Ambi! Yeah, stick it to them. You ain't an easy prize to be won.
I love you for writing this part. It's so valid, for everyone and not just Ambrosius. It's great!
"I would sooner kill myself than marry Todd Disgusting Sureblade. Never. Nuh-uh. Not even if we were the last two men left in the planet. You know how some girls swear they can switch gays guys to the other team? I'm throughly convinced that Todd actually has the power to do so. Leave me alone with him in a room and I come out both a killer and ready to settle down with a woman. Hell, we'll have kids, even. Don't ever joke about that, Ballister. I'm going to have nightmares, tonight"
THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST AMBROSIUS-HATING-ON-TODD RANT I'VE EVER READ KSKSKSKSKSKSKSK I LOVE IT SO MUCH IT'S SO WITTY AND IT'S SO IN CHARACTER!
Now, they both stare at her, identical sad smiles plastered on their faces. If Ambrosius is as good with people as he claims to be, then they already have her heart in the bag. They just need to get her brain on it. "And how can I help?" She asks, and both knigths know they've kit the jackpot in the instant her voice comes out. She sounds so much like a worried mother. Ballister feels slightly guilty, slightly wishful. "How may I aid you both, on this quest?"
I love this. I love how you wrote Queen Valerin. I wished she had more screentime. I wish we got a flashback of Bal remembering her fondly in a motherly moment flashback.
"We would never-" "We couldn't even be together! I'm just some commoner and he is..." "Don't talk about yourself like that" "Amber, this is not the moment to-" "I won't let you be mean to yourself in front of the Queen" The woman in front of them chuckles, amazed at their idiocy. They both blush even more, if that's possible. They suck at this whole "pretending to be single" thing. "You're adorable" she coos, and Ambrosius is ready to change his name and move towns, "You remind me so much of Derek and me, back when we were young"
Again. I. LOVE. VALERIN.
Ulitmately, I love how you wrote her. She's LITERALLY a Queen, if you know what I mean. Like... Movies of feminism should also show how a gentle ruler with elegance is at the same level of woman power as much as hardcore ass kicking ladies are.
Fuck this kid and his lack of self control.
LOL KSKSKSKSKSKKS THIS WAS SUCH A PERFECT ENDING ONE LINER
Ambrosius has no impulse control and I will stand by that until the very end.
TL;DR
You are awesome for writing this fic, OP and I hope you know it!
Ambrosius's (indirect) champion.
Find part one here
"It's oficial. You've gone crazy"
Ambrosius, who feels thrilled with his idea, scoffs. In a quick move, he drags Ballister down to the bed, pulling him by the wrists, making the boy's head fall directly in his own chest. Had this been practice, he knows he probably would've gotten a punch to the ribs in retaliation. But they are in private, they are just teens, and Ballister allows his boyfriend to drag him down.
"Don't call me that, babe" Ambrosius whines, while Ballister tries to regain some of his dignity by lifting himself up with his arms to establish some sort of distance. "I'll cry"
"Ambrosius, this is not funny" finally managing to get on his hand and knees, Ballister stares down at his boyfriend, frowning. "This is incredibly concerning and serious"
Ambrosius pouts for a second, and giggles to himself after giving Ballister a quick kiss on the lips. He is scared, oh, so scared. He wants to cry and run and scream and punch and the best alternative he has right now is to be pretend to be charming with his boyfriend, but every good thing must come to an end, and he has to face reality.
They sit down, again, in the bed, face to face. Ambrosius's sudden burst of energy leaves as fast it came, leaving him with a dull sense of... confusion. Nothingness.
"You haven't heard my plan" he tries to grin at his boyfriend, hoping that his eyebags aren't nearly as big as he feels them be. "Come on. Let me tell you, and then you can say no"
They look at each other for some seconds, and Ballister gives in, the second Ambrosius brings out his best card on the whole deck: tears.
Crying on command is a pretty useful skill to have, Ambrosius's come to find out. He doesn't go all the way out with it, no this time, but he knows his eyes are watery and his nose is red. Ballister looks away, groaning.
"Fine!" He resigns, throwing his hands up to the heavens. "But if your plan is "something, something, we win" again, I'm out. I'm so out. You're going to have to ask Todd for help"
Ambrosius gasps, offended at the barbarity his boyfriend just said. How dares he? The old "fuck it, we ball" plan has never let them down, but this isn't the moment to bask in the glory of all of their past accomplishments.
"Okay, so..." he starts, taking in a big breath of air. This is going to be long, and boring. Sometimes he's sorry for Ballister, who has to learn all of this things as they go, unlike him, who's been memorizing the rules ever since he learned to read. "The duels, right. Not all noble families train their kids to be knigths. Not all knights are heirs, either. If you have an older sibling, then you're probably not heir. Follow me?"
Ballister, who loves learning about new stuff, even if it's nobility rubbish, nods along, "Follow you"
"I am the sole heir of the family, so I have obligations. You already know this. One of those is to keep up alliances and all that stuff"
Nodding again, Ballister chuckles a bit. Of course he knows. He's been there to witness every single event that's happened ever since Ambrosius finally turned old enough to go to balls and shit as an actual member of the upper society, or whatever it is they call themselves.
"We have many allies made by old marriages, debts, whatever. If one of them asks something of me, then it usually really just falls on me to say no. Unless they put up conditions"
Ambrosius licks his lips, grabbing his boyfriend's hands and looking at him straight in the eyes. How wonderful they are, Ballister's eyes.
"Now is when it gets kinda hard, so bear with me. Mom's been saying no to everyone who wants to form an alliance by marriage. Don't make that face, Bal. It's not really a lovely affair as much as it is legal papers, for a lot of people. But if all of my allies get along and decide to put conditions on me, then we're obligated to answer"
"That's so, so bullshit"
"It really is. Specially because, since we have so many allies, they usually never get along for long enough to actually make and write a demand, but I guess I'm just that hot and everyone wants to bed me. Too bad I'm already in love with what my allies would probably qualify as a disgraceful street rat"
Ballister blushes, playfully shoving Ambrosius on the chest.
"They would get a heart attack, don't you think? If they knew about me and you"
"They would get a heart attack if they knew I'm gay. They would have a heart attack if they knew I'm a tube baby because my mom loathes my dad. They would have a heart attack if they knew I eat chocolate cake sometimes. Don't feel special" shrugging, Ambrosius continues, "So, they are threatening to call off a lot of agreements and stuff if I don't answer their demands, which, like, mature much? Not my fault all of their heirs look like horror creatures.
So, Mom, being Mom, agreed to have me answer with a tournament, because apparently she believes I'm Hercules or something. I would traditionally have to fight with every single person who asked for my hand in a stupid sword duel and bla bla bla, but that would take forever, Bal. So, they came to an agreement. People fight each other, and whoever wins, figths with me"
"That sounds... extremely complicated" cringing a bit ta the lengths people would go for a chance to figth with his boyfriend, Ballister grimaces. Bunch of weirdos.
"I'm not some easy harlot, Ballister. You offend me. Of course trying marrying me is complicated. But, wait, now's where it gets interesting"
"Now? Just now? This whole thing is nuts"
Ignoring him, Ambrosius takes two pillows and places one if front of the other. "There are people who can fight me and expect to win" he says, pointing to one of them. "And people who can't but want the marriage"
"So, a lot of families don't have knights. A lot of knigths aren't heirs. Even if a family has a heir that would marry me, they could just be a scholar or something. All knights are nobles..."
"Except me?"
"Yeah, well. Most knigths are nobles, but a bunch of nobles aren't knigths. Like the Queen and such."
"And this is important because...?"
"Because families are going to choose champions, now. Wich means, they can just find a random good figther who's willing to commit to life to me and make them fight. Mom tried to make it so only noble heirs could enter, but they said no. You only have to represent a noble family, and there can only be one fighter per family. Wich means, you can simply sign up and beat everyone up!"
"You forget a very small but important detail, Amber" Ballister sighs, rubbing his eyes with the palm of his hands. "I'm neither noble nor a heir, and no family is going to choose me as a champion. You might actually need help from Todd ok this one"
Ambrosius suddenly comes to a stop, blinking.
Cackling, Ballister pretends to apologize, while his boyfriend rambles about how horrifying it would be, to be around Todd every day of his life, and how death would be mercy if anyone ever was to ever be on that situation.
Ambrosius finally stops, clearing his throat to stop Ballister from dying of asphyxiation, "With that settled, I would like to point out that my family can't choose you because I have to represent the Goldenloins. Not because I don't want. But there's still someone, Bal. Someone who's childless, a noble, and probably would love to help us out in this"
Ambrosius's next words convince Ballister of the fact that, yes, Captain Gloria surely drank too much while she was pregnant, because there's something deeply wrong with this man's brain.
"We're going to ask formal help from the Queen. And we're going to do it right now"
He should've stayed at that orphanage. Things would've been easier.
˗ˋ ♡ ˊ˗
Ballister fixes his shirt, and then does so again. Next to him, Ambrosius is going a pretty good job at pretending to be calm, but his lips are going to start bleeding in any second if he keeps munching on them like that, and his hands shake ever so slightly.
"If the speech doesn't work out" he whispers to Ballister, while they walk down the marble corridors of the palace, "then you put on your best puppy eyes. Pout and all. I'm bringing out the waterworks. Ugly crying, if needed. Gloreth, I'll fake-faint if it comes to that"
Ballister pretty sure that the speech they wrote and tried to memorize on the two hours it too to get here (asking for permission at the institute, getting into a carriage, arriving at the palace, getting the secretary to make them the next meeting using Ambrosius's status) isn't nearly good enough to convince the Queen to get involved in this mess, so he tries to remember the saddest moments in his life. There's a lot. He definitely feels ready to cry and beg.
They reach the Queen's office (because, apparently, queen's do have offices) and are welcomed by two palace guards that open up the wood doors for them to come in.
The place is wonderful. Not rich-people wonderful, it's soul-crushing life-changing beautiful instead. Everything is so white and golden and blue and shiny and ethereal.
In the middle of it, the Queen is seated, smiling softly at them. They both kneel down, knigth training and actual admiration manifesting in the gesture.
"Gentlemen" she greets, placing her joined hands on her desk, and they stand up straight, standing still, waiting for orders, always ready to obey to her, "you may sit down"
They do so.
Ballister's bones are trying to crawl out of his skin, and his whole face itches with nerves.
"Thank you, for receiving us in such short notice, Your Majesty" says Ambrosius, voice full with feeling. He's better at the whole "being social" thing.
"It is refreshing to see young faces on the palace grounda every once in a while" she responds, in that weird way formal people talk when they're trying to say something without saying it. "And I am honored to have two of my best cadets in here today. I have to ask, though, as to what situation do I owe the pleasure of such a distinguished visit? Specially a dual one"
"The honor is all ours" adds Ballister, who doesn't want to feel useless in the conversation, even if he feels incredibly out of place in the dances the nobility follows when they talk, when they breath, when they live.
"We come here with a plead," explains Ambrosius, and he suddenly looks older. Serious, worried, solemn. His voice is deep, calm, "One that would benefit both of us, and for which we require your help."
The Queen hums softly, slightly rising an eyebrow. "What sort of plea my I aid you both in?"
"I don't want to get married" says Ambrosius, straight to the point. Ballister asked him, on the carriage, to be honest with this. He knows how... creative the Goldenloins can get when they want something. Plus, being bold will surely add to the element of surprise.
"Excuse me?" The Queen looks clearly put off at the words, loosing her cool demeanor for a second, "Come again?"
Seeing her eyebrows frown and her vocabulary change so abruptly, Ambrosius clears his throat, hiding a smile. Their plan seems to be going well.
"I don't want to get married" he repeats, enunciating every word, "And I'm being forced to engage in an obligated tournament for those purposes, Your Majesty"
He gives her a second to understand the words, to take the information in. In those seconds, Ambrosius remembers that one time he thought Ballister hates him back when they were twelve, and tries to pour all the sadness he feels on his voice.
"Of course, I presume Your Majesty is aware of how vicious and outdated some traditions are" quickly, he glances down at Ballister, who's also putting on his best kicked lost helpless puppy performance, "but I am still subjected to them."
The Queen is the Queen, but even her can't change the rules that noble families uphold each other to. She nods, looking worried. Bingo.
"That's why I want to help him" cutting in, Ballister stammers a bit, like Ambrosius instructed him to. For extra empathy points, he said, "We've come up with a plan. It's not perfect, but..."
"... it's the best we can do" Ambrosius finishes, following his cue.
"We need someone to sign me in" Puppy eyes. Puppy eyes. Think sad thoughts. "No one else but you can do it, Your Majesty. I am a commoner, and the families despise me"
They're not even lying. Most nobles do despise Ballister. They're just... putting some heart onto the delivery of the news.
"He's my last resource" Ambrosius is about to cry. Teary eyes, red cheeks, trembling words. Such an actor. "My mommy can't do it because she's my own family, and I am so scared, Your Majesty. Marriage is the least of my concerns"
He leans in to her, even if it's only the three of them in the room.
"Just thinking about what someone with control over me could ask for gives me chills," and, to spice some politics in, he whispers to her, "there's so many things my mom would give over for me. Money, land, jews... Gloreth, even alliances, or debts. There's a lot of power tied into the family, and if I'm allowed to be honest, I fear for what would happen if all that rested in the hand of someone evil. Some villain. Some monster.
It's a well known fact that the Goldenloins match the royal family in influence, in power. They're probably a bit over them, if one were to actually measure the impact they have on the people, on the kingdom. Ambrosius couldn't care less about this knowledge, but the Queen should be able to recognize a threat when it's in front of her.
She blinks once, twice. Ballister makes a show of giving Ambrosius a handkerchief, and he takes it with an apology for his horrible demeanor.
"I see why you've come to me," she finally speaks up, eyes fixed on them, "and I am glad that you did. This is an urgent matter. I am deeply troubled to see you in this state, Goldenloin"
Ambrosius mutters a quick thank you, still "too emotional" to talk.
"And I am glad to learn that the bond between my star knights is as strong as the walls that protect this kingdom. You both are what keep my people safe, after all"
Ballister's never been so proud to be compared to a wall as he is right now.
"To show you my gratitude for your hard work, I will agree. Ballister, you can fight in representation of the noble house of Elpis, as my champion. Any armor or other supplies needed will be provided, too"
Thank Gloreth and every single saint ever for Ambrosius's manipulative ass. He's so in love with this dramatic wreck of a man. Thank Gloreth and every single saint ever for Queen Valentin's tendency to go against tradition. He's so grateful to have been born under her regency.
They both thank her, deeply, multiple times, bowing their heads. Ambrosius even sheds some tears and wipes them off with urgency
Then, the Queen stands up, and they follow suit. She shoots them a question, one that they didn't come prepared for,
"You both are aware, however, of how the nature of your... bond, could affect this tournament?"
Stop. Pause. What did she say? Whatdidshesay?
They look at each other, completely out of course. This time, she is the one with the upper hand. And they're so fucked. Seeing as how their silence continues, she speaks, again
"Your romance" she clarifies, and Ambrosius's choke on his own saliva isn't pretended. Ballister goes so red his face burns, and, out of instinct, he hits his boyfriend on the back to try and stop his death. He hits a little too hard, but it works.
"Excuse us?" Screeches Ambrosius, high pitched, "Our what?"
"You must be confused" says Ballister at the same time, feeling like a very dumb caged animal. They didn't plan this. He's got no idea what to do next. "Ambrosius and I don't-"
"We would never-"
"We couldn't even be together! I'm just some commoner and he is..."
"Don't talk about yourself like that"
"Amber, this is not the moment to-"
"I won't let you be mean to yourself in front of the Queen"
The woman in front of them chuckles, amazed at their idiocy. They both blush even more, if that's possible. They suck at this whole "pretending to be single" thing.
"You're adorable" she coos, and Ambrosius is ready to change his name and move towns, "You remind me so much of Derek and me, back when we were young"
She brings up dead husband, as if this isn't weird enough already.
"Surely, you know that if people take notice of this, and Ballister does end up winning — like I have faith he will — they could argue that the tournament has been rigged"
They look at each other, bewildered. They never even considered that possibility. The Queen chuckles some more.
"I trust you would come up with a way to deal with that problem, Mister Goldenloin. You mother's always had her way with schemes and theatrical dramas, and I am fairly sure that I just witnessed one of your plans in action, didn't I? Was any of what you said true, cadets?"
Of course. Of course. The Queen, who's probably been working alongside Captain Gloria her whole life, would notice. Perhaps they didn't plan this as neatly as they could've. But they had less than a day to come up with the whole thing, so.
"I really, really don't wanna get married or have to obey to someone" argues Ambrosius, pouting. "Specially to some older weirdo"
"And I really don't want him to marry or have to obey to someone" agrees Ballister, apologetic. "Specially some older weirdo"
After considering them for some seconds, she nods again, agreeing to keep her word. Seeing no point on subtlety, they hug each other quickly, to celebrate.
"We're going to give back every penny you spend on Bal in this whole thing, swear to Gloreth" promises Ambrosius, one hand drapped along his boyfriend's back, "when he wins, I'm throwing a party, and you are so invited", quickly, he adds, "uh, Your Majesty, ma'am"
She lets them go after discussing some minor details, and they beam all the way out of the palace.
"I told you my plan would work" Ambrosius puffs out his chest like a proud peacock once they're on the carriage back to the institute, texting Gloreth knows who on his phone, "We're irresistible"
"She only agreed because you asked her. No one says no to a Goldenloin, Amber"
Ballister stretches, already tired. This whole thing has been draining. He's so ready to go back to the institute and join classes again. If this carriages hurries up, they might get there in time for sword training before lunch, his favorite part of the day.
"Talking 'bout Goldenloins..." trails off Ambrosius, playful smile painted on his lips, "what you say we go talk to my mom now?"
"Absolutely no way-"
"Too bad" he interrupts him, placing his hand over Ballister's lips, "already told her we're on our way. She asked to chefs to prepare us something tasty"
Fuck this kid and his lack of self control.

ᯓ★ intro ! (updated semi-regularly. ish)
Interests:
I’ve been fixated on Sonic the Hedgehog for a few years now, so that’s what you’ll (usually) see most on this main blog.
My other interests here include:
Splatoon, Gravity Falls, Spider-Verse, Kirby, My Little Pony (Gen 4), Super Mario, the Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Dungeon Meshi, The Last of Us, Pokémon (mostly just Team Rocket,) and various other random console games.
All of these fandoms can be found in my featured tags. Meanwhile, sideblogs are usually shorter-term hyperfixes.
Side blogs (newest to oldest):
✩ detroit: become human -> @iheartandroids
✩ smiling friends -> @iheartsmilingays
✩ the amazing digital circus -> @iheartdigitalcircuses
✩ nimona (the movie) -> @iheartnimona
✩ rottmnt -> @iheartrise
✩ stim blog gifs, sounds/music, stim boards, web resources, etc -> @stimmii
Stuff to note (BYF section):
~ I curse. Some nsfw jokes might be reblogged as well; you can block these under the “#suggestive” tag.
~ Mass likes/reblogs don’t bother me, don’t worry babes
~ I may randomly spam-like/reblog other blogs though. It’s genuinely never personal, sometimes other people’s blogs are just more interesting than the dashboard lol
~ On my main, I reblog things relating to politics or light discourse, usually just some civil rights stuff. This includes approved Palestine GoFundMe’s. I often don’t tag these categorically.
~ I can talk a LOT in the tags. That said, a lot of times I don’t, but honestly I am Nottt very good at holding myself back whenever the moment strikes. So welcome to my mind if you feel like reading it
~ autism and adhd haver, I might be a lil off-putting. I reblog about struggles sometimes under “#nd things”
~ I use tone indicators for anything that I think might be confusing, but always spelt-out— like “/sarcastic” or “/light hearted”
~ I am very gay. I reblog gay things. Btw
~ My memory is faulty, meaning I may reblog the same thing multiple times without meaning to, or forget to respond to a message/ask. (more on that below . . .)
Moot-to-Moot Communication:
~ l am genderqueer and use they/she/he, in order of preference. (When I say “alternation preferred”, I mean that I would greatly appreciate if you alternate between multiple of these pronouns for me, rather than choose one set forever. thank youu mwa)
~ If we’re mutuals, feel free to strike up a conversation for any random reason!!
~ I might be a lil late to respond, but I promise no matter what I will see your message and be thinking about it. The Dysfunction sure does hit (as well as the anxiety or memory issues. lots of that too)
Drawn demonstration by user cuptoast on twitter:
~ feel free to just message me a lil reminder if I don’t get back to you after a day!! I prolly forgor. Just a little “yo” or whatever you want is great, it helps a lot.
~ However, I usually start conversations with an ask. (It’s a little silly, but it’s easier for me to keep track of and less intimidating that way.) If you’d prefer, you can just respond to it in messages.
~ I’m currently following 4000+ blogs 🥲 This means I never really see moots on the dashboard, which means I don’t really interact except for once in a while, when I might FLOOD your posts with likes + reblogs ,:]
~ In any potentially unclear messages, I would very much appreciate tone indicators (or any other form of clarification 👍) I may just ask for the tone if I’m confused.
~ Just let me know if you want me to tag something for filtering out, like spoilers but also literally anything else.
DNI:
In general, I block freely who I don’t want to interact with. However, here are my stances if it makes anyone more comfortable (or uncomfortable) to know.
- I stand with Palestine for a ceasefire. I reblog about Palestinian news and history often, as well as verified Gofundme pages for families seeking to evacuate.
- That said, I fully support our Jewish friends. anti-Zionism ≠ anti-Semitism.
- I am against proshipping; meaning I am heavily against the fictional fetishization of children, rape, zoophilia, or incest.

(Teases won't be a thing if I barely know you, and I'm sure that I won't want to initiate these kinds of interactions with people in the near future. I've had some unpleasant experiences, so please, just know that I don't like being used as a source of entertainment for you just because you're bored or in a certain mood. I'm also a switch, I can't always be in the mood you want me to be in. Most of the time I just end up feeling lonely and sad (my ler side has been used so much, I'm just a little tired). So, since such interactions haven't brought me much joy lately, I want to take a break from this, for now. If you want us to try interacting that way, please just ask me about it first. Outright. Ask if I'm in the mood for it, how I feel about it. That's all I ask for.)
Anyone can follow and interact with my content when it comes to age, but if you're a minor or you're 35+, please don't DM me with the intention of becoming close friends or exchanging teases. I just feel more comfortable interacting with people around my age ☀️
About N$FW & Anything related
Straight up nudity (like when you can literally see everything), k¡nky GIFs/videos with real people, discussing tickling in a s*xual/k¡nky way in situations when it's not supposed to be k¡nky at all (like in reblogs under some of my fics/doodles which were supposed to be fluffy & cute and nothing more) - all of this makes me really uncomfortable, please remember that
Content containing light restraints/blindfolds/tools ect. is a complicated topic, but I'm fine with it for the most part when I'm in the mood for it (I hate torture though, it kinda scares me lol). If I ever post something that's more intense than just soft fluffy tickles, I'll make sure to leave tags with potential trigger warnings so that other people would be able to block things that make them uncomfortable.
Important: If tickling is a k¡nky thing for you in some situations, I have absolutely nothing against that, it's normal bruh, enjoy whatever you want to enjoy when the context is right. I just don't want some people to sexualize everything I post (ESPECIALLY tickle content with characters that are technically minors, like ew, pls don't 💀), tickling is mostly a coping mechanism & a fun, wholesome, fluffy thing for me personally, that's why I don't want blogs who are focused on the k¡nky side of it to follow or dm me (I mean I can't stop anyone from viewing my content obviously, but please, respect my boundaries). If you're one of those people who think that “mmm actually this 'hyperfixation' on tickling is always a k¡nk for everyone ☝🏻🤓”, then please block me immediately. Even if I don't really like bringing it up much, I'm autistic, and I've had this hyperfixation (or a special interest of sorts) since I was a little kid. If you try to sexualize it as a whole, I'll personally beat you up 💖
I might post some OC stuff in here because I love my children 🧍🏻
I can be inactive sometimes, that happens. I created this blog just because I can write/draw what I like and share it with other people who like it too. I write/draw very slowly, so please, remember that and be patient with me if you requested something. This blog is just another hobby of mine, and I'm a living human being.
I don't read the manga (most of the time), so please keep that in mind while requesting!
I reserve the right to delete or ignore asks and requests which I'm not comfortable with or which freak me out. Hope you'll understand.
(If you wanna DM me, just know that my entire being is awkward as hell, and it usually takes me a long time to respond lol ajdkdk-)
✧° • Have a great day! ☁️✨

1.1&2 | The Sword
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018)
🌸🌸🌸🌸
Verdict: Fun as hell.
The first thing that always hits me is there are a good few lines that just give me secondhand embarrassment every time. Like "What are you looking at, PRINCESS?" and "I just turned against the Horde! 😃 ...I just turned against the Horde! 😧" Maybe they just feel obvious and overplayed? But I hardly want to criticize that because... none of the writing is supposed to be smart!
The tone is thoroughly childish, and sometimes it seems particularly aware of this fact, like the comedy beat on Angella's "You're grounded!", and the doofy playground way they first fight over the sword. All the characters argue and joke and say how they feel in bombastic, simple terms. For the most part it's reeeally working for me.
If I had to guess what the team actually liked about original She-Ra, that might be it. The OGs were extremely serious and earnest while having the most absurd play-logic plots and conflicts. The She-Boot is like a reflection on that: it's much more overt with its childishness and goofiness, as well as making the characters clearly younger, because it's for adults feeling like kids enjoying She-Ra.
I think as long as it has momentum, I really like it. I think that's something show will struggle with later on, but it was firing on all cylinders here.
For as many lines made me cringe, there were also a few that jolted outside the predictable pattern for a moment and felt quite striking, such as the Shadow Weaver's "You've wanted this since you were old enough to want anything," and Catra's 'of course they're manipulating us!' thing.
I think this show is really strong on art and colors. The characters all feel nice to look at and creative and the blocky pastels make them pop. The backgrounds have a little bit of a nostalgic painterly feel. The strong color grading in some scenes really juiced the emotion and made the storytelling feel a little more thoughtful and mature to me.
Story-wise, I think it's something of a shame that the characters bear no resemblance to the OG's personalities. As Adora was kind of wise and right all the time, it makes sense she would need to change, and I like that they based her around the premise of being a Horde defector. Glimmer was a delicate, useless princess, and I feel like in seeking a more feminist idea they just made her the complete opposite. Bow, I suppose, is still comically jocular and friendly, though he's no longer an un-self-aware blowhard. I like Adora as her angst is the kind I can really sink my headcanoning teeth into. I'm neutral on the other two. I like that Bow's a friendship-core fairy boy. I like that when Glimmer yells at people it moves the plot forward (for now). As far as I'm aware, Catra's excitingly toxic nature is entirely new, and emotional vulnerability was given to a formerly straightforward cackling villain. Based on Nimona, this is one of the stories Stevenson is bursting to tell, and I respect that. The Shadow Weaver is really excellently scary, and I see the groundwork being laid for the interesting conflict she'll get. I don't care about the cadet team - they feel generic and in the wrong genre.
She-Ra feels wonderfully ethereal and unstoppable and you can tell everyone finds her a glamazon. I like that they suggest from the beginning that Adora can feel She-Ra is connected to her own origins. I like that her first display of power was just to draw a monster's respect and bring peace.
Little things...
I forgot just how ~sexy~ Catra's delivery of her first lines was. The girl's really going for it sometimes.
Catra's running joke about brain damage is delightfully incongruous and ghoulish, as is Bow's "It's been an honor serving with you, Horsie."
I think it's funny that Bow spent the entire episode telling Glimmer not to rush in or push her magic, and when she finally took his advice he was like 'what are you talking about? Don't give up hope! Let's save the day!' I also find it a bit weird and unconvincing how ready he is to brand them a "Best Friends Squad!"
I find the happy, peaceful, celebrating little villages in this show consistently un-charming. I guess they feel pretty one-note and unconvincing. I would hazard that they wanted to evoke 'quaint, innocent, folksy, diverse, accepting' but were trying REALLY hard not to culturally appropriate.
This whole time, whenever Glimmer was fighting I was thinking about "aggressive fist-to-face sparkles" because that's literally what she does.
Finally, I thought I would keep a running tally of all the crimes Catra commits, so that we can finally answer whether she is a bad person or a good one. She's off to a dubious start in this pair of episodes, as I noticed that she was late for training, hopped around the walkways in an unsafe manner, and even climbed out of her tank to talk to a friend in the middle of an invasion.
Catra's Crimes: 3

Inside the Groundbreaking Queer Reboot of ‘She-Ra’ | Rolling Stone
We’re all shaped by the myths we grow up with, whether it’s the stories we learn from holy books or Saturday morning cartoons. Kids who see themselves as the hero learn to center themselves in their own life stories. Kids who see their experiences relegated to the sidelines, or not represented at all, come away with a very different lesson — one that can take years to unlearn.
Which is exactly what makes a show like She-Ra and the Princesses of Power so vital. Since its premiere in 2018, Noelle Stevenson’s reboot of the cult Eighties cartoon has joined a revolution in the world of children’s animation, combining classic genre storytelling with diverse representation and a progressive worldview (see also: Nickelodeon’s The Legend of Korra, Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time and Steven Universe). In its fifth and final season, which dropped on Netflix last month, She-Ra rounded out its 52-episode run by centering a queer romance — specifically, between its hero, Adora, and her best frenemy Catra — and positing that such a love can, quite literally, save the world.
“I knew from the start that it wasn’t going to be easy,” says Stevenson, speaking via phone from Los Angeles. “Because this is She-Ra. To have the culmination of her arc be this lesbian love plot is a big deal! And I understood that. But I also felt that it was really important.”
The original She-Ra: Princess of Power was a 1985 Filmation spin-off of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, which itself was based on a line of Mattel action figures. Set on the planet of Etheria, She-Ra follows a band of magical princesses in their rebellion against the Evil Horde, a totalitarian sci-fi regime bent on global domination. Adora is an ex-Horde soldier who joins the rebellion after she gains the ability to transform into She-Ra, a superpowered Chosen One with glowing blue eyes, a mystical sword, and a very cool outfit.
In 2015, when Stevenson, then 23, found out that DreamWorks Animation was looking for someone to pitch a new take on She-Ra, she jumped at the chance. She was already an Eisner Award-winning cartoonist and writer who had made a name for herself with works like her web comic-turned-graphic novel Nimona and the Boom! Studios series Lumberjanes.
“The world [of She-Ra] is so incredibly vibrant, and has so many powerful female characters. It’s this world that has all my interests rolled into one: It’s got the flying ponies and superpowers and all of these things that, immediately, I was like, ‘I want to do this. I want to be the one to do this,’” she says.
While Stevenson’s reimagination of the world of Etheria pays tribute to its predecessor, it includes some key differences. The reboot transforms the musclebound, scantily-clad grownups of the original series into awkward teens in much more practical (but still very sparkly) clothing. In addition to embracing a diversity of races, genders, and body types, the She-Ra reboot fleshes out the characters and their backstories, giving them fully-fledged arcs and complicating the good/evil binary of the original. The princesses of the rebellion aren’t simply heroic, and the soldiers of the Horde aren’t simply villains; everyone’s just a human being (or scorpion person or alien clone or flying horse, as the case may be) trying to make their way in a world that doesn’t offer easy solutions. It’s also, incidentally, really funny.
For Stevenson, it was crucial that the characters felt three-dimensional, and that it was their choices that guided the direction of the storytelling. “The characters all began with a deep personal flaw, and the process of making the show was kind of giving them the room to process those flaws. But we wanted it to feel organic. We wanted the characters to feel like real people that we knew,” she explains.
From the start, She-Ra’s most compelling tension was always between Adora (Aimee Carrero) and Catra (AJ Michalka), Adora’s childhood best friend who becomes her bitterest rival after Adora leaves the Horde to join the rebellion. In the show’s first four seasons, the two continually fight and reconcile and break apart again, their obsession with each other marking them as something more than frenemies.
“It’s a dynamic that I find really interesting: the attraction and the tension between the villain and the hero, especially when they know each other better than anyone. They love each other, but there’s something between them that cannot be overcome,” Stevenson says.
Stevenson always knew that she wanted the relationship between Catra and Adora to be a romantic one; but she had to walk a fine line, because she didn’t know if the studio would give her the go-ahead to put an explicitly lesbian love story front and center. At first, as in Steven Universe, Rebecca Sugar’s radically progressive series that aired its final episodes earlier this year, she steeped the world of the She-Ra reboot in queerness. The show features multiple side characters in same-sex relationships, characters who flout traditional gender roles, and even a nonbinary character (Double Trouble, voiced by transgender writer and activist Jacob Tobia).
Still, Stevenson, herself a gay woman, wanted young viewers to be able to see a queer relationship that wasn’t just incidental, but central to the plot of the entire series. “I’ve loved these stories my entire life, you know? I was a huge Star Wars and Lord of the Rings fan as a kid. But there weren’t a lot of characters that I felt personally represented by,” she says. “We love what makes these stories classic, but we’ve seen them all culminate in the same kind of romance so many times: The hero gets the girl, he gets the kiss, and then he saves the world. And it’s not just [swapping] the man and the woman for two women. You have to actually approach it from a standpoint of: How do you make these stories, at their roots, queer?
“So that’s what I was trying to do — for little queer kids to see that this is normal, that these are stories that can happen and that exist, and that can center them and make them feel seen and understood.”
Whether or not Adora and Catra’s romance would become canonical was in the hands of the studio, and it was a risk Stevenson couldn’t be sure it would be willing to take. So the show played a long game — hinting at a romantic dynamic between the two without making it explicit, for fear of disappointing fans in the end if they weren’t able to deliver. Fortunately, a groundswell of viewer support for a potential relationship between the characters — a phenomenon known in the fan community as “shipping” — allowed Stevenson to make a case to the studio for supporting the story she wanted to tell with She-Ra.
“Just as I had hoped, people started picking up on this tension and getting really passionate about it,” she says. “It was immediately one of the strongest fandom ships right out of the gate. And that was when I finally showed my hand and was like, ‘Look. We’ve got a bunch of people who, just off Season One, are really, really excited about the gay representation in this show. I have been planning for this. And here’s how it needs to end, and not just because I want a moment that everyone’s gonna talk about. It’s the logical conclusion of both their character arcs. They need each other.’”
Finally, after years of hedging their bets, Stevenson and her collaborators got the go-ahead from DreamWorks. “I really wanted it to be so central to the plot that if at any point they were like, ‘Oh, we changed our minds, we want to take it out again,’ they wouldn’t be able to, because it would be so baked in,” she explains. “The temperature is not always right, and depending on what’s happening in the world, not everyone wants to be the studio that sticks their neck out and makes a statement like this. You will get a flat ‘no’ sometimes. But if you bide your time, or you come at it from another angle, that can change. You just have to keep pushing.”
Feedback for the conclusion of She-Ra has been overwhelmingly positive both from critics and fans. Viewer support has been pouring out in the form of social media posts, YouTube reaction videos, and fan art and fan fiction. Stevenson, who first made a name for herself online with Lord of the Rings and Avengers fan art, has been blown away by the support from She-Ra lovers. “That’s how you know that you’re successful at what you set out to do — if people are getting inspired by the stories that you’re telling. I think that that’s the beauty of fan work, is that it’s an evolution of the genre. We take that inspiration and create something new all the time.”
Unfettered by restrictions, the final season of She-Ra is a tightly plotted, character-driven masterwork, featuring a slow-burn redemption arc, a harrowing villain, and a timely message about the power of love and unity against the forces of repression and tyranny. It’s a show about becoming kinder and more open in the face of unrelenting darkness, about banding together to prepare for the worst, but always hoping for the best in spite of overwhelming odds.
Stevenson says that she and her team began work on She-Ra in the aftermath of the 2016 election. “The veil was ripped off, and we had to reckon with a world that we hadn’t expected. And that theme of relying on each other and being stronger together became so much more relevant,” she recalls. “I remember writing one script after a particularly bad news day where it just felt like nothing was ever going to be OK again. It’s an episode where Adora realizes that there are supposed to be stars in the sky, and there aren’t any more stars. And as Aimee [Carrero] was recording the lines, she was crying, and we were crying, because we were all experiencing this together — the idea that things were changing in maybe irreparable ways.”
The refrain of She-Ra’s catchy-as-hell power-pop theme song is “We must be strong, and we must be brave.” According to Stevenson, that’s easier said than done; but the whole point of the series is that you have to try anyway. It’s a message that rings especially true at this moment in our world when it seems like everything is spinning out of control, and it’s all too easy to feel helpless.
“It always comes back to this — when you realize that there’s a great evil or a great darkness that won’t just go away from one fight,” Stevenson says. “It boils up, and it can be pushed back down, but it’s something that we’ll probably have to be fighting for the rest of our lives. That’s really hard to do, and it makes you really tired sometimes, and it can be really scary. But when you are surrounded by the people that you love, and when you have that love for the people around you, then that strength is possible.”
