AU Hyde friends with Emma Carew

In this au, or more like an addition i can add to one of my aus – in one of Hydes outings, while jumping on the roofs he noticed Emma crying on balcony to her room. Even though he would usually leave (and Jekyll dosent want to get in trouble hence Hyde is still a searched criminal) he decided to come closer, Emma noticed him and was confused on why tf theres a man on the roof above her balcony (i would shit my pants) But Hyde reassured her he isnt a threat, and was just coming by (on the roofs 🤨). And asked her whats wrong.

Surprisingly she wasnt afraid, she already had a breakdown so she couldn't really think straight.

She told him she is supposed to have an arranged marriage with Simon Stride, in her families will. But she doesn't love him nor she ever had romantic or sexual attraction to anyone ever (shes aroace but that term didnt exist back then ). Plus, hes a jerk towards her.

Hyde shows his opposition to it, he thinks all those traditions and aristocrat things are absolutely stupid (sorry for my lack of smart language 😂) . He tells her he knows one person who was also married against their will, and that ruined their relationship with their lover (as hyde says this jekylls jaw drops to the floor XD). So he understands how harmful it can be. He jokes to lift Emmas mood.

Emma already calmed down thanks him, and also tells abot how in general its annoying. Her fathers friends were making jokes about her marrying jekyll right after their dance. Her father dosent take her seriously as he thinks shes still kid (like in musical, same with her mothers death) and he dosent think that marriage is harmful as family of simon conviced him otherwise. She dosent blames him but still holds a grudge for not helping her but instead adding fuel to the fire.

Hyde dosent knows what to say so he suggests her to jump on roofs with him to unwind, jekyll as a shadow is completely apposed. She is unsure but decides to accept the offer. Jekyll tries his hardest but hyde has an idea to make it a little safer.

Since shes in a party dress she takes some time to change into more for jumping clothes. Hyde asks her to hold his hand so she dosent fall while jumping

Hence things has worsen with her abusive fiancée, and marriage was soon to happen, she decided to run away and asked Hyde for help in that

Later on i imagine her cutting her hair as a sign of new life (so she'll have something like a pixie cut)

She would write her father a letter that she has left due to her own will

Andd Hyde helps her escape to become of Lucy girls ^^ they still meet even after that.

Thinking abt that, most likely in this scenario her father would still search for her. Just wondering if suspecting Hyde should be a part of it (maybe someone has seen them or something like that)

both versions r meant to be like murder mysteries yk?? and they're both set in time settings where it's not quite the future, but im also not a historian so they're also not completely historically accurate T-T they just take place in the past LMFAO but the original ver is more like dark academia centered where the murder takes place at this elitist academy/boarding school in the middle of nowhere, and reader is like a "charity case" whose uncle took her under his wing after her parents were murdered or something, and changmin is like studying to become a physician and they both get looped into the investigation. i have a some written of that ver but it's not very interesting 💀

AND recently like two days ago 💀 i went back to one of the ideas i had for the banner before i started writing the dark academia one (wow that's such a long sentence). anyways, said idea was to take place in like ,, not a school 🤡 but idk if you've read the stalking jack the ripper series but it's based on that !! hii thank you !! 😭 let's see. Most of the ocs i play with in ifs come from different original verses/other media because i always get attached and never can scrap or leave them behind ever lmao

i think the best example of this is fred !! personality-wise i never change my ocs much if at all between aus, but..

originally, frederick came from a little story i was writing when i was 11 🧎 he was the main characters' best friend! a few years ago i resurrected that group of ocs and made their canon (a little bit) less cringy and more to my current tastes!! so, in his canon verse, fred is a werewolf in a modern setting. he has a group of friends where all but two of them are fellow monsters + he's starting a career(?) as a t/witch streamer, he plays games and is well known for serenading people over in-game voice chat. his dream is to be a famous musician, but he takes things one day at a time and enjoys his life as is :)

his second most important verse is pretty much the same as the original, except he's human and living with a housemate, emille (who belongs to a friend of mine). his internet popularity skyrockets when the two of them start fake dating after a few instances of his chat going crazy when em walked into fred's room practically nude during streams. it's a very self-indulgent oh my god they were roommates + fake dating + idiots to lovers + fwb but they catch feelings + seemingly unrequited requited pining kind of ship LMAO

there's also a dnd version of him! he's a half-elf and multiclasses as bard and lycan blood hunter 🥴 archery specialist! he was basically turned into a werewolf against his will by an ex boyfriend that turned out to be a weird cult leader. he was more than a bit traumatized at the start of the campaign but he hid it all behind his flirty smiles and catchy songs. he ended up well though!! got his revenge and a lot of help from his friends and ended up with two wizard boyfriends 🙏

then uh. there's a red vs blue au. because i used to love that show so much when i was a teen 😔 he was agent nebraska and i shipped him with north dakota. he was a very cocky infiltration specialist and he didn't have an a.i.!

then i played mystic messenger with him !!! he was on v's route 💙 he had traveled to korea for some sort of esports event and then got kidnapped by mint eye i guess. it happens

then i also put him in the arcana, muriel's route! except i was (am) so attached to my canon apprentice and her route that rather than have him be asra's apprentice as well, i decided he was an old time friend of them; a traveling monster hunter. it made me have to ignore a lot of the narration/dialogue that wasn't applicable to him but morga also gave him a magic bow so 👍

the first two parts of AH were written as part of a fundraiser for blm donations, something i offered to do and i am so grateful for the individuals who donated through supporting that fic. however, i have mentioned countless times how much i did not enjoy the process of writing AH. the subject matter is hard for me to present because i (ME, the writer!!) do not relate to the characters or their story. do you know how hard it is to write about emotions and reactions you person cannot feel/understand or see in your mind? it feels like banging ur head in a wall or trying to walk through water. you are forgetting im constructing a whole world from nothing and if i've not made the reader feel what i was feeling when writing those scenes... whats the point? all you're going to get is the frustration and disappointment i felt towards myself when writing because im not doing the best i can and i know it. there is so much resistance inside of me towards that story for me personally.

yes, i love all the AH characters but i cannot tell the story the way it deserves to be told. on top of that i had so many rude horrible demands in my inbox to complete the story that it made me want to write it less. im not a mule pumping out whatever you want to see with complete disregard to my personal boundaries – understand that. the final part had no donation attached to it either so im not obligated to publish it.

You're taken aback by the placid tone of his words and his eyes never leaving your own as he spoke them. It somehow makes you feel a little nervous. You try not to gulp too visibly. "O-of course."

The corners of his mouth stretched, as if amused by the way you stutter to such a simple question.

"Can I ask you something first, then?" He asks, and although still hesitant, you nod. Jeongguk continues, "Do you find me attractive?"

The question was so unpredictable that you couldn't possibly hide the shock on your face. He raised his eyebrow, waiting for your response, but nothing came out from you so soon like he expected.

It makes you think. Do you find Jeongguk attractive?

Of fucking course. Duh!

Literally, who wouldn't? On the outside, he's disgustingly handsome, sometimes it makes you pissed how attractive he is, got a body that's just the right buff and big… He's also tall, and the full sleeve tattoo around the entirety of his right arm and piercings on both his lip and brow really add to his naturally oozing charm. Beyond all that superficial aspects though is his kind heart. Jeongguk is, above all, a really good person. Someone you can confide in, someone you can count on. He's someone who has a funny and warm disposition. He's confident in a way that's not bordering on arrogant, just very good at carrying himself that it's… somewhat – okay, not somewhat – it is sexy and hot that he just knows.

On top of that, he's intelligent as hell. Jeongguk is a software engineer in this big tech company hence why he's also rich. You say it's grossly priced because you know it's expensive as fuck, you're not about to lie and say it's overpriced as his place is really something) because his job pays him well and he's great at it.

He's the total dream guy if you have to be extremely honest and truth be told, if he wasn't one of your closest friends – probably your closest friend – you would've hit on him a long time ago.

"Yeah," you tell him sincerely because there's no point in lying.

There's a grin on his face when he hears your answer.

"I'm glad because I'm about to tell you that I find you attractive too."

You can feel your heart doing a flip or two inside your ribcage, but you ignore the feeling right away, rolling your eyes at him just to prove a point. "Are you saying that because you don't want to embarrass me? It's fine, you can be honest with me."

Immediately shaking his head, Jeongguk stares at you in a way that makes you think he's a little offended with what you said. For what though, you have no idea.

"No? I know you know you're pretty. It's a common fact among friends and people you don't know personally."

There's a rush of heat that spreads throughout your cheeks at his compliment. He sounded like you shouldn't even be questioning it too, nonchalant in a way, but you're not really good with compliments so you try to get a way out.

"Really? Is that your type?" You raised a brow. "Pretty girls?"

Your joke backfires.

With a playful smirk playing on his lips, his answer was an instant, "Yeah."
