Had a random idea: what would the batboys’ (though mostly Tim’s) reaction be to finding out caffeine gives their S/O migraines?
Tim
“I made coffee if you want some,” Tim offered. He could make 2 dishes perfectly: coffee and cereal.
You smiled and shook your head. Tim had a permanent warm smell of fresh coffee that was comforting but it wasn’t for you.
“It gives me migraines actually,” you answered looking up from your book. He stopped mid pour.
“What? Coffee?”
“Caffeine,” you answered. You went back to reading.
“Hmmm,” he said completing his coffee pour. “Why didn’t you say so? I have decaf.”
“Oh uh..”
Jason
“I made my famous dessert, tiramisu,” he said showing off a beautiful fluffy brown dusted dessert; a cute proud smile on his face.
“Oh,” you said as the smile fell from your face.
“What’s wrong?” He asked sitting it down on the counter.
“Nothing! I mean- well- I, kinda, don’t eat caffeine because it gives me migraines,” you admitted.
“Oh! Oh,” he said looking down at the dessert. “I wouldn’t eat it because it has espresso in it.”
“Yeah…”
“You know what, I can eat it all myself later. And we can walk down the street and get ice cream. And next time I can make it caffeine free,” Jason said.
“You don’t mind?” You said as you both slid on your shoes.
“You kidding me? I’d have to be the biggest ass to want you to eat something to give you a migraine. Don’t even think about it. What are your thoughts on mango ice cream?”
Dick
“I have a surprise,” Dick said with his hand over your face. His other held your waist gently and guided you into place.
“You really didn’t-“
“Hush. It’s your birthday,” he said and you could hear the smile in his voice. “It might be… unusual but I thought you’d like it.”
“Okay,” you said with a nervous sigh.
“Okay, open your eyes.”
You opened your eyes to see a fancy Italian coffee making thing. Oh no. Everyone loves coffee but you. You’d have to tell Dick because he bought something that must have cost a fortune.
“Oh, thanks. Uh,” you said turning in his arms and his smiled dropped a little at your vibes. “I love it. But I don’t drink coffee. Most coffee gives me migraines,” you said with a bit of an apologetic grimace.
“Oh shit. I didn’t even notice. Not a great boyfriend moment,” Dick winced.
“No! It’s a really really nice gesture. It looks super expensive. Not that that makes a present good! But that you put work into-“
“I won it at work! The gym I work for did a raffle and I won. Don’t feel bad. I can’t afford something like that, ha,” Dick said rubbing the back of his neck with a hand. “I’ll take it to my place and I’ll get you something better. We can go out shopping. Not that expensive but something you like.”
“How bout we get something to eat and go watch that movie I want to see. Maybe even some popcorn too,” you said hugging him around the waist.
“I said less expensive, not more,” Dick joked. You rolled your eyes but let him kiss the side of your lips. “I’ll never financially recover but if that’s what my girl wants…”
Damian
“Damian,” you said laying on his bed on your stomach. Math homework stared up at you ominously. He stopped writing his own calculation.
“Hmm?”
“Did I ever tell you I don’t drink coffee?”
“No. Why is that?” He asked going back to writing. His back was on the opposite side of the bed from you with Damian facing you.
“It gives me migraines,” you said.
“Coffee? Is it that caffeine?”
“Yeah, how did you know?”
“Not uncommon. I’ll make sure Alfred makes your tea caffeine free,” Damian muttered.
“Hm”
“What?”
“I’m just surprised that’s all. Your whole family is practically on an IV drip of coffee,” you said leading your head against his knee playfully. Damian smiled and looked up.
“Not being addicted to a drug is a good thing. Especially if you’re prone to migraines,” he said. “You forgot to transfer the 7 on question 15.”
“Damn.”
Bruce
“And we can go get coffee in Brazil and macarons in Paris,” he said kissing your neck from behind. “I can take you anywhere in the world you could want.”
“Hmm,” you questioned with your eyes closed and neck bent to let him reach better. Bruce ‘s hand slowly pulled the zipper down on you party dress.
“We can leave tonight. Breakfast in Brazil?” He asked between kisses. His teeth gently scrapped at the lobe of your ear pulling a shiver from you.
“Oh, coffee?”
“Yes, after I ravage you all night I’ll get you the best coffee in the world,” he murmured as his hand pulled the dress fabric up.
“Oh, I don’t drink coffee,” you said. He hummed questioningly. “Caffeine gives me migraines.”
“Really? I’ll just have to find you something else. In Brazil or anywhere in the world you could wish,” he said turning you in his arms.
“The beach this time of the year sounds nice,” you admitted with a smile.
“I couldn’t agree more,” Bruce answered with a smirk.

I roast you based on which batboy you're crushed on
Don't take this too seriously lol
Damian Wayne
•You probably tell little boys that they're gonna be hot when they get older .-.
•You want someone cold who can take the lead so you can stay behind since taking control scares you...but you're not gonna admit this.
•Go to therapy and talk about your emotions and family issues please
Tim Drake:
•You watch anime and probably you had a phase were you had a really cringey username with some Japanese words
•In a friend group your probably the one who's more easy to forget.
Like when you're hanging out with them and then you just walking to see if someone will notice, but that doesn't happen or when you're telling some story and they talk over you...poor thing.
•Idk why but I feel like you have some goth vibes, like you own a lot of dark clothes or are into darkwave/ post punk music idk
Jason Todd:
•My dude you want to feel safe, don't you? You want someone stronger to have your back.
•Idk why but I feel like you have a size kink.
•Also you're not that interesting, stop with your superiority complex.
•For a long time you had that "I'm gonna save the bad boy" mindset, bro that's hard af. Don't waste your time and mental health
•You're really fucking hype, like Energizer bunny vibes who's a little sunshine or are a shy introverted who's nice once they're not afraid of talking
•You tend to read a lot as a kid but now it's hard to even finish the first pages of a book.
Dick Grayson:
•You were lonely as a kid and always dreamed to have best friend that would be always by your side no matter what.
•You probably forget a lot about your needs and focus on others to feel useful.
•Go and hug something fluffy please, you need some love.
•Ahh you probably crushed on someone who treaded you all nice, that made you feel in heaven once just to find out they were that way with everyone. You hadn't recovered from that one and know you don't know if someone is being friendly cuz they are that way or if they're being flirty
•You're kinda basic, but that's okay. Everyone is a little bit basic in more than one aspect
•You should talk more about how you're feeling rather than vanishing from the world and ghosting everyone.
•Idk but you give me crybaby vibes, like there's a sad part on a movie -or worst, amusic video- and you're sobbing right away.

thoughts on todays releases?
OKAY I'm a bit behind on a few books so I don't have commentary for everything but to go over what I did get a chance to read [spoilers ahead!!!!]
Aquaman: The Becoming #4 - Admittedly I've been going into this book with very little knowledge of recent goings on with any of the characters, so it's been a lot of just taking things at face value (which is def different than me approaching Bat comics where I may notice inconsistencies with recent things more) but I thought the lore stuff about Jackson's mom today was really interesting. I'm not the biggest fan of the 'surprise sibling' trope which was how the last issue ended, but it is nice having like, his mom as part of this so we know yes Delilah is in fact his sister it's not a fake-out or anything, and seeing how that plays out. I also just... love complicated family dynamics, so this is interesting and tense in a way that appeals to me. I'm curious how Lucia's side of the story might differ though based on how she said Meeka was twisting things.
Detective Comics #1046 - WE LOVE TO SEE STEPH REFERRING TO HERSELF AS BATGIRL! Like I know she is officially one of 'The Batgirls' but getting to see her use the singular 'Batgirl' for herself just... feels so good. Also getting to see her interact with Helena! We love purple girls, and just the way Steph is always trying to help. In general Helena's stuff in the 'tec run has been really interesting so far, the visions as a lingering side effect from the Vile stuff is really cool and I'm glad they've kept it going. I'm super looking forward to Shadows of the Bat also, which this kinda helped move pieces into position for that since it starts next issue. While I do think that the concept of Arkham Tower- putting a version of Arkham in the middle of the city- is just absurd in so many ways (when I first mentioned to my mom that was a thing she burst out laughing because how the hell does anyone in-universe think that's a good idea) I'm still really curious to see how it's all gonna play out.
DC Vs. Vampires #3 - Hal basically being just the [gunshot warning in video] Eric Andre: Who Killed Hannibal? meme about Barry's death has been too funny ever since the preview dropped. Overall I'm so along for the ride with this, it's just vampire chaos. ALSO ZATANNA.... QUEEN.... queen. Adore her design here. The ending was a fun thing too, I think Hal & Diana choosing Bruce of all people to frame for Barry's murder is gonna be a fascinating choice when we get to the start of the next issue, just seeing the discussion that brings. The guy with the biggest thing against killing being framed. It's bold. Daring. OH also Dinah, Roy & Ollie having their little group... love it. Like last issue we saw the Bats together as a family unit so I'm glad we can see other hero families having a similar idea.
Robin #9 - We love the power of friendship and teamwork! Truly embracing the shonen anime vibe of this whole run so far. Alfred's ghost's presence in the book has been something I've loved so far, and the way he was used in this issue I especially liked. Altho I really dislike Rose being like 'stop flirting!!!' when Damian and Flatline just talk to each other like sgdfhgfh they will just be having a normal conversation and everyone's like 'ugh get a ROOM' like. I'm tired. I hope that stops soon, because otherwise I do really like Flatline & her interactions with Damian. I don't even mind it being a romantic thing between them (like, Damian's 14 now, that's when Tim was having all sorts of romance plots back in his Robin solo) but having others comment on it that way makes it feel forced when there is an interesting dynamic forming there that doesn't need that. Also the ending was such a cool OH SHIT moment I'm so so so curious to see where things pick up with that next issue, and how he's gonna get back to the present/what new things about Ra's he's gonna find out in the past.
Task Force Z #3 - Bringing up Jason's thoughts about killing in direct relation to Alfred's death? Which provides some reasoning that actually... makes his choice to stay away from killing for the time being make a bit more sense for him, connecting it to his own guilt and loss? Then having Hanna suggest he forgive Bane for what he did... and him at the first available opportunity where he knew it'd actually mean something basically saying 'fuck forgiveness' and pushing Bane off a building for what he did to Alfred? Telling his higher-ups that Bane's gone- attempting to ensure that he won't get more Lazarus Resin to come back to life so essentially trying to re-kill him? HELL. YEAH. (solicits for future issues do let us know that Bane's def not staying dead, but hey, Jason tried) Again, I wouldn't have gone down this 'no killing no guns' path with Jason in the first place, I still don't like it as a general direction, but this is at least going down that path in an interesting way. We love revenge, revenge is a very Jason thing. Also the ending! I really hadn't been thinking all that much about who Crispin might be so him actually being Two-Face was a fun reveal. In hindsight, the pair of twin scientists was probably a clue. Like we knew he'd be involved in the book from solicits for future issues but this wasn't the way I expected it.
Teen Titans Academy #10 - So as a whole, I've definitely thought the strongest parts of this book have been focusing on the new students/new characters, and this issue had some Dane & Red X stuff that I thought was at least like, interesting. Dane saying his father is 'The Dark Lord'/Dane being called the Antichrist plus his physical similarities to how DC's Lucifer has been depicted (especially with his wings now like. come on) is just making me 👀 like are they gonna namedrop him? And of course, there's the main reason I'm still reading this book, I am curious what the deal is with Red X. I liked him in this issue being less of the just mysterious shadowy figure and a lot more of a vulnerable kid, plus him choosing not to leave Dane when he could have. I really didn't like the bits with the senior Titans in this issue though, idk. As a whole them being teachers and shit in the first place still feels so weird to me, it's super just not my ideal dynamic for a version of the Titans. All the 'Mr.' and 'Ms.' usage with their hero names just sounds so silly every time. The bit I disliked the most though was Roy misgendering Stitch like.... I get the reasoning, Roy only just got there and hasn't really met them before this moment, but hghghgghhh just didn't like it!! Did not think it was necessary.
so ya! my disjointed thoughts.

Alright kinda bit of a big Nightwing question here but I think you might interested;
Say You’re an Editor at DC Comics of a Nightwing book, what will be some storylines, character dynamics, tone and overall directions for it would you want to do?
You have access to all sorts of characters from Starfire and the Titans, the Batfamily to the citizens of Bludhaven and villains at your disposal. The choices are all yours.
Oh Gosh where do i even start (;;;・_・)
Well....i always wanted to do a fanfiction,an accurate fanfiction for (if that ever happened) Dick staying dead (yea wow the ansgt is real in this one).
Im gonna go with 3 topics cuz i think it's easier to explain :)
Dick would die for a sacrifice, saving the world with his life and those emotional stuff everyone loves :) or he would die in a really sad way like what happened to Lois in Injustice or what happened to Wally in YJ Season 2 finale,he would have been murdered by a villain and this villain would want the chaos if he is literally killing the person who next to superman is the hero who everyone trusts the most i mean---- can you imagine? but while I want the heroes closest to Dick to "lose their heads" over his death I think there should properly be a week of mourning for him because I SWEAR TO GOD DC never knows how to handle anyone's death, It's never depressing and genuinely sad, you know? I would think of something close to what happened to Dick at the end of Forever Evil but in the version that was not published, where he was supposedly killed and everyone thought that and there were several moments showing people remembering Dick (when the citizens on the street paid tributes 😭 I have to confess that I cried a little) but in that case he would really be killed and it would be much much sadder and more melancholy :)
I sound like a heartless psychopath saying this but I need to see the Batfamily suffer at least a little bit...I personally hated their reactions when Dick "died" in Forever Evil so something should be redone and done right. (as my favorite youtuber says "do it again do it right!") Bruce as a father (and I must warn you that I am WEAK for a father-son relationship especially if it involves older children or adoption) I want him to cry a lot, look at pictures of Dick when he was a kid or take his clothes and cuddle in them and maybe even be unable to be Batman, I need Jason to get angry and take his anger out on criminals on the street but in the dark of his apartment alone he cries himself to sleep remembering his brother,Tim not knowing what to do with himself falling into depression and blaming himself for not being a more understanding brother when he could have been Damian...oh my baby... :( he would be so sad and would only find comfort in Alfred (he would be alive in my story) or Cass or his animals of course. He is the one who would suffer the most along with Bruce actually... they would be very close in this story for them to heal from the emptiness they both feel of losing the person who was most able to understand them...Ah! the titans would be there too and it would be almost the same vibe we had and we're still having this new phase of Young Justice, with Wally still dead(or just stuck in the speed force who knows? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) and Conner...theoretically dead too(or not...)
I'm one of the few fans of Nightwing who likes the idea of him being connected to the Court of Owls. I really like it like it's really cool for his story, so I would use that as a base. Dick would die but the Court (better his great-grandfather?) would steal his body after a while to not bring up suspicion and they would bring Dick back to life but as a Talon,he would not be the same. Eventually his family would discover that there's a Talon acting in Gotham and his movements look familiar, Tim as the observer that he is and the fact that just by seeing the way Robin moves he discovered that it was after all the Grayson boy from the Circus, he would be the first to suspect that Talon It's Dick then informs Bruce and together they go to Dick's coffin but his body is not there, and at the bottom of the coffin there is an owl feather, message from the Court to basically say "yes we took his body, it's ours now" . so there's that insane quest to save Dick with the Batfamily teaming up with the Titans and even a part of the league teaming up to try to rescue him and in the end I imagine a "happy ending" because as much as Dick is still a Talon totally transformed, he would still be aware in his mind of when he was sane and would live with his family again...
You should keep in mind that i don't really know how to explain stuff like- i have my thoughts on my mind but i can't express it for u guys i'm just horrible at this type of thing and i tried to make this the shorter i could 😅 but anyways-
After reading again i should say that you guys should go read "a storge for you" by @romanticism-is-maudlinism (on ao3) because my thing here is basically the same thing she is doing there and honestly- GO READ IT!! It has an amazing writing and the chapters keeps getting better 🛐 so pls go check if you liked my "idea" of fanfiction
(i'm sorry if this has spelling mistakes, english is not my first language and using google translator is the shit :D)

Have you watched the Teen Titans animated series or Young Justice? If so, what do you think about their characterization of Dick Grayson?
And while we're at it, what about the animated movies? How does his characterization compare there?
Hi! Thank you so much for the ask!
I have to be honest, Teen Titans wasn’t a show that I was able to watch when it came out because I didn’t have cable tv yet and by the time that I had it I was actually into other TV shows, I watched a few episodes from what I believe was the last season but I didn’t really like the Titans lineup so I didn’t pay much attention to it. So, I can’t really say anything about his characterization there.
Young Justice I have watched! I believe I watched it for the first time in 2018 on Netflix. I loved the first season, it was amazing and it kinda made me want to read DC comics again. I had “taken a break” from reading DC because I was consuming another type of content, mostly MCU and Marvel Comics. I watched seasons two and three but I didn’t like them as much as the first one because I felt like there were too many characters and it overwhelmed me a little bit.
So, to answer your question, I love Young Justice’s characterization of Dick Grayson (as Robin, Nightwing, and just Dick). Although the universe where YJ is very different from the comics one, they did make an excellent job developing Dick and the other team members in the first season.
It was weird seeing Dick in the YJ team instead of the Titans one but I am glad that they did it that way because they took their time to develop Dick and then Tim as the Robins in the different seasons.
Dick not being the leader of the team was also weird but it led to so many interesting plotlines for him. I also felt that their take on Dick Grayson was very in tune with the times in which the show came out he was very tech-driven (which he used to be in comics but then they gave that characteristic to Tim and took it away from Dick) and is Bat training was shown plenty, he truly seemed like one of the most valuable assets for the team even though he was the youngest and he had no powers.
His personality felt real for his age in the show, he was funny and smart, his acrobatic skills were there. I really loved the way they handled his change of mind when it came to wanting to lead the team at all costs and wanting to become Batman in the future. That episode was wonderfully done and seeing that therapy session that Dick had still makes me feel sad for him.
He was friends with everybody and tried to make everyone feel welcome which I think is also very in tune with Dick Robin in comics. He seemed to be learning from everyone and every experience too which was also nice. The Circus episode really showed us another side of Dick, he was being protective of his first family and he was also starting to feel comfortable as a sort of co-leader of the team. He had a very deep connection with his teammates and that was also similar to his relationship in comics with the Titans.
As I said before I really couldn’t enjoy the other two seasons the same way that I did the first but the Dick Grayson that I saw in them was a really cool one, it did give me Outsiders (2003) vibes from those seasons so I am a little bit biased. But I really liked the idea of Dick and Kaldur having this secret plan that could help everyone in the end even though it might have cost them their friends. When that situation repeated itself in the third season I still sided with Dick (and the people that were on “his” team), it really felt like Dick could see the bigger picture of the problems that they were facing, I wouldn’t say that Dick puts the mission in front of everything else though, that’s Batman’s thing. Dick really just wanted everyone to be okay and he saw that people were trying to solve the problem inefficiently, which would eventually get more people hurt. He was very selfless but also realized that by doing what he did he didn’t only help to save the world but he did make some people think twice before trusting him completely.
That last scene where Dick calls everyone for a meeting and he is surprised when everyone shows up is a very Dick Grayson scene, people really understood that as a team leader Nightwing had to make some very difficult decisions so when he called, they all showed up. Bruce saying that Dick commands more respect than he realizes was so true and iconic of him.
One of my favorite episodes was “Private Security” where Dick teamed up with Will, Roy, and Jim harper, it was super fun and it also had some very interesting moments that showed how Dick was grieving the death/disappearance of his friend, and how he needed someone to tell him that he was going to be okay and that there were people who needed training and he was the best option to do it. That interaction between Dick and Will made me remember Dick and Roy’s chat at the beginning of Outsiders (2003).
Overall, I really enjoyed Dick’s characterization in that show, it respected the original material and made Dick a solid character even though he had differences from his comic counterpart.
-
I have seen very few animated movies from DC that had Dick as a featured character. I watched: Under the Red Hood, Son of Batman, Batman vs Robin, Batman: Bad Blood, Teen Titans: Judas Contract, and Batman: Hush.
In those movies, Dick’s characterization hasn’t been consistent, in each movie they manage to get something right but they butcher everything else. Mostly I enjoy Dick’s interactions with people, he had a fun moment with Damian, Kory, Bruce, and Selina. But he is never the real center of these stories so they kinda throw him to the side and nerf him a bit too much.
In “Bad Blood” he was Batman to Damian’s Robin but that movie didn’t do much for their relationship. He kinda is reduced to Batman’s most loyal friend or something like that, there isn’t much depth to him or his characterization.
He really wasn’t loved or respected in these movies, “Batman vs. Robin” had the Court of Owls as the main enemies but they didn’t use Dick as a plotline, they had Damian and Bruce having a conflict instead.
“Batman: Hush” was a mess, from every point of view, Dick was done dirty in that scene in the cemetery (I can’t really remember if it was a cemetery the place where he got dosed with fear(?) gas and Selina had to save him), he is treated as if he were an unexperienced vigilante, it is very sad to see.
Also, they had this very annoying “trope” where Dick dislocated his shoulder someway, somehow in every movie. I don’t know why that was, but it happened too often.
-
As you can see, I haven’t watched that much DC animated content so, from what I have seen Dick’s best characterization is the one from Young Justice, I think they did a great job mixing their own version of Dick Grayson with his comic counterpart. They really respected and worked with the original material.
But! “The Lego Batman” needs to have a special mention because this movie was a gift from the gods. This is a masterpiece, it’s Dick Grayson makes my heart melt, I adore that little Robin, he makes me happy. Bruce and Joker’s relationship is a perfect dramatization of what Batman and Joker’s relationship is in comics and I will be forever glad that DC took the initiative and made fun of themselves like that.
It is just the perfect comfort movie!
Another special mention is “Batman: Under the Red Hood” but I am not mentioning it because of Dick’s appearance there, I just think that this movie is neat and amazing and that everyone should watch it. It has Jensen Ackles voicing Jason! Best Jason Todd/Red Hood that we have ever had out of comics!
Anyway, I am sorry it took me so long to answer your ask, I hope you have a marvelous week!

They were fucked.
Unbelievably fucked.
At least that's what Tim thought.
He was the one who created the earth-traveling device anyways. After working day and night, and going through a few dozen cups of black coffee or so, he created something he believed had the power to transport him to a different planet, -or dimension-, if he pleased. Bruce had been the one to reprimand him about using it, but, he later reluctantly accepted it after seeing Tim's test pass with complete success. Right now, the bat-fam was on a mission. A few heroes were stranded on Earth-15, and Bruce had sent Tim, Damian, and Dick to save them and bring them back. However, as easy as it seemed, things didn't go as planned.
The device had managed to go through some technological failure after sending the stranded heroes back to Earth-51, leaving Tim and the rest behind.
And there they were, stranded on Earth-15. The fact that none of them had any useful knowledge about the planet further put them on edge. They all hid a for a few minutes, clearly anxious about their situation.
Dick was the first to stand from his crouching position.
It seemed they had been transported to a random area, located behind an abandoned cathedral.
Or one that seemed abandoned.
He scanned his surroundings, checking every corner on high alert, before relaxing his shoulders and nodding towards his younger brothers,
"It's clear"
Tim and Damian stood from their positions, the youngest brother clearly not trusting his siblings as he stayed on guard, slowly trailing behind. As soon as they made in front of the cathedral, they stopped, opting to discuss a new plan. Dick watched as his brother in red and black attire went through his gadgets, eyes narrowed in concentration,
"So, What do we do? Just stand here like a bunch of imbeciles?", Damian questioned, emerald eyes gleaming with a small hint of desperation. Dick sighed, acknowledging the brave face he put on. He didn't know if anyone would ever spot the hint of vulnerability in Damian, but he sure as hell could being the brother, -and detective-, he was,
"Well, First we help Tim fix his device."
A sudden voice spoke up, a sweet very familiar timbre caressing their ears,
"I may be able to provide some assistance",
Instantly, they all turned their heads, eyes locking with a pair of gleaming (e/c) ones. Dick tilted his head in pure confusion, sharing a look with Tim as Damian sported a mild expression. It was you they were staring at. Except, you were wearing white and black, resembling that of a nun. Of course, each of the brothers were aware that doppelgängers were on every planet, but, they couldn't help but feel very surprised to find you. If they were being honest, being a nun kinda suited your sweet, considerate personality. You flashed a sweet smile, brows softening with empathy,
"Hello, excuse me for suddenly interfering. I couldn't help but notice you children."
Tim gave a weary smile, crossing his arms. Of course, they found it a bit humiliating to be called children, but, nonetheless, they allowed it to slide. Because it was your doppelgänger saying it, and because you were a nun. It would only be expected from the knowledge they had about that,
"I am Mother (Y/n), this is my cathedral. You must be from another earth I am guessing, yes? Follow me. I must provide you with as much as I can in the name of the lord"
They all gawked are each other, silently following your flowy, almost glowing form. Damian stomped his feet into place, his eyes narrowed his annoyance at the two elders ahead of him,
"Are you two insane? Why are you following? We don't know anything about her. She may prove to be dangerous",
Dick walked over, settling his hand on his brother's shoulder, before quickly having it slapped off by the young brat,
"Hands off, Richard"
He chuckled, face quickly growing serious,
"C'mon Damian. You have any better ideas? Plus, don't you like (y/n)?"
"Tt", he uttered, crossing his arms before begrudgingly following along. Tim examined his utility belt, a few lights going off to signal something,
"My gadget is picking up on two human presences. Whoever the other is, they're probably in the cathedral."
Dick looked down at his escrima sticks, which happened to glow a faint blue,
"Same here. From what I'm getting, it doesn't seem like they're evil."
After trailing behind you for what seemed like a few minutes, Tim was the first to speak up, hoping to ease the unnerving tension around them,
"Thanks for helping us. My name is Tim, and these are my brothers Dick and Damian"
Damian scowled as his identity was revealed. You glanced at them from your peripheral, chuckling at the way they began to bicker,
"It is alright children. Don't worry, I won't reveal your identities"
You opened the cathedral doors. They watched as your eyes aimlessly looked around,
"Father Todd! Father Todd?", you bellowed, hearing nothing but the echo of your voice. You turned back to the boys, watching as their expressions became hysterical once more. Tim and dick could barely believe it. Jason was here too? and he was a priest?! Settling your hands on your hips you arched a brow, crossing your arms,
"Are you children really Alright? You're looking at me like I've lost my mind." Before you could continue, two slender hands settled on each of your shoulders, spooking you to the core,
"I would look at you the same if I were them, Mother (Y/n). After all, you do have a unique way of being", you felt your cheeks burn as you craned your neck up, eyes meeting with amused cerulean ones. Black messy hair, a few strands of white, there stood Jason. Damian refused to believe at first, but, actually seeing Jason dressed as a priest with a cross around his neck was very, very perplexing. What the hell was going on here?? Fully spinning around, you looked up at Father Todd, eyes displaying adoration,
"F-father Todd! U-uh I was just looking for you. I wanted to introduce you to these children.", you pointed at each of them, presenting them to the priest, who seemed just a bit more interested in you than them. Dick and Tim watched your interaction with the Jason, amusement on their faces. It seemed even on another Earth, you both were still completely infatuated with each other.
However, Damian was quick to cut the interaction off, grumbling as a scowl crossed his face,
"Cmon you too. We do not have all day. Especially you, Father Todd", he spat, fuming with impatience and irritation by simply seeing Jason, -or what looked like-, Jason. The priest simply turned to him with a slightly baffled expression before releasing a slight chuckle, smiling brightly nonetheless,
"I see you have a...rather eager one. Please, settle down with me. It would be rude of me not to welcome you in the house of God"
Damian frowned in confusion. How was it possible that Jason could actually be somewhat nice to him?? Even if it was just his doppelgänger, it made his head hurt when he thought about it. They all followed, teasing and clearly enjoying Damian's reaction as you walked ahead with Jason. He pulled out a few chairs from the table next to the alter, gesturing for each to sit,
"May I ask how you children arrived on this planet? Mother (y/n) and I may be able to help"
"We meant to transport to Earth-51, but, it seems like my gadget wasn't working as well as I thought ", Tim scratched the side of his head, smiling bashfully. Father Todd nodded in understanding, hands folding on the table,
"I may just have the thing for this", he winked, standing up and walking over to the other side of the room. Upon pushing some buttons on a keyboard, everything lit up, displaying technological equipment of all sorts. Jason smiled upon seeing Tim's look of atonishment. He quickly walked over to the other side, immediately asking the priest questions and whether or not he had some coffee somewhere. You chuckled at them, steering your gaze over to Dick and Damian who sat directly infront of you,
"Now that I understand the circumstances you've been put under, you may stay as long as you'd like", you announced, handing Dick a cup of tea since he asked for it. He watched you with a neutral expression, clearly curious,
"Wait, you're actually okay with this?"
Jason, who had been helping Tim set up his gadget on the other side, came back, settling to stand behind you. He nodded with you after hearing his statement, offering another smile,
"Of course. I am a Gotham priest and she is a Gotham nun after all"
You grinned, features relaxing,
"We've seen stranger things"
——————————————————————————
With the help of his brothers and father todd, Tim had managed to fix his gadget. Dick smiled in triumph, watching everything quickly fall into place.
Your reassurance and kindness surely brought his heart to ease. He understood that all doppelgängers weren't exactly the same, but something about you, on this planet, clearly radiated your vibe and personality.
Nonetheless, the more time he spent seeing you, the more he was starting to feel homesick. The others couldn't really feel it, but, he missed his baby sister. His confident, blunt but kind adoptive-sibling, who had always managed to offer him solace. You turned back to Damian and Dick, a look of sympathy crossing your face as you met eyes with Dick,
"Are you alright, Dick? The gadget will be ready for use in just a little longer"
He smiled softly, nodding his head,
"Im fine. It's just, you remind us of someone we know on our Earth", you nodded, a flash of sadness in your eyes. You didn't know why, but you just sympathized deeply with them. Must've been your connection to your other counterpart. Standing up, you placed a hand on Dick's, offering comfort as his azure orbs met yours,
"Whoever this person may be, I am determined to get you home to them. I really hope you get the chance to greet them"
Dick smiled softly, placing his hand over yours,
"I hope so too"
———————————————————————————
After a few hours of preparing and installing some new pieces, the gadget was fully ready. Tim, Damian, and Tim waved goodbye to you and Jason before pressing the device and going through a portal.
——————————————————————————
Tim took his hands off the device, looking around with his brothers in hopes of finally achieving the bat-cave. All they saw was your figure alongside Jason's, standing next each other as you faced the bat computers. Upon hearing one of them take a step, you and Jason turned, your eyes sparkling as you smiled at your brothers. When you saw your oldest brother you jumped, running directly into his arms, "Dick! I missed you". He smiled, leaning his chin down on your head, "I missed you too, sis. So much." You were quickly interrupted by the rest, the voice of Damian making its way to your ears,
"Hmpf. I cannot believe you forgot about us for this ass." You chuckled, making your way over Tim and Damian as you opened your arms, hugging them tightly into a group hug,
"How could I forget the most phenomenal robin of all", he smiled as the rest rolled their eyes, clearly disagreeing with your statement. You released a sigh of relief after pulling away, jogging back to your position and punching a rather distressed Jason,
"See! I told you they'd make it home just fine",
You stuck your hand out in front of him, a cocky smirk on your face,
"Now pay me what you owe me"
"God dammit", the tall male grunted, sighing as he pulled his wallet out, placing a crumpled $20 dollar bill in your hand. You smiled in triumph, feeling even better at seeing Jason's defeated expression.
You both crossed your arms, examining your brothers in anticipation,
"So, did you still finish the mission even tho you got kinda stuck somewhere?"
You and Jason had known about the incident regarding the three, receiving the signal through your communicators. They all nodded, a bit perplexed as they had just seen you a few moments ago,
"Stop staring at me. It's unnerving as hell", Jason spoke, running a hand through his hair to get the strands out of his eyes,
"It's just, when we were stranded in Earth-15, we saw both of you guys... but, you were a priest and (Y/n) was a nun"
You both turned and looked at each other, clearly not believing a single word. Jason chuckled as you laughed hard, clutching your stomach. After what seemed like a few minutes, you calmed down, wiping your eyes,
"What a knee slapper. That was funny. Ok, now stop fucking around and go out there and help Bruce. Jay and I have to take care of some thugs"
"We're not lying!"
"Sure you're not you clowns", Jason rolled his eyes, walking away as you chuckled lightly. Tim and Dick looked at each other, shrugging their shoulders before parting ways. Damian turned, walking in the direction of the stairs that led back to the mansion,
"Seeing Todd again, makes me wish he actually was a Priest."

asks (26)
@spickerzocker said:
hey there! just a heads up that i tried to click on the "why i don't ship" explanation link in your faq and it says that there is no post with that url/it's generally broken. also your "a conversation about recovery" thing is beautiful and hurts in the best way and i love it. have a nice day!
Yes, I intentionally took that link down awhile ago, and last night I went and updated some of the tabs on my blog. Here are my basic thoughts:
I wrote that link years and years ago, while I was first navigating the internet and while I was still figuring out important things about my own identity and opinions. I ran my blog differently back then, but by the end of the first few months, I knew I was uncomfortable with shipping.
As people began to interact with me and my work, I told them over and over again no, I don’t want to talk about that, and I don’t want to write about it, and it makes me uncomfortable. I don’t think that was a common position to take at the time, so it wasn’t what people expected from me.
During those years, I felt like I had to justify myself and give a valid explanation. I wrote that post explaining why I had that boundary, and I put it in a place where anyone could find it.
I said no when people asked, let them make jokes about it, and made jokes about it myself in response. As time went on I got more and more exasperated when I had to repeat myself. I wrote definite rules into my ask box, request tab, and FAQ. People still asked. I wrote it into my description. People still asked.
The truth is yeah, there’s a pretty simple explanation for my discomfort. It makes sense. It’s easy to understand, and most folks think it’s a “good enough” reason to leave me alone. The difference between young-me and current-me is that I no longer feel the need to justify myself.
None of y’all need to know why I set the boundaries that I set. My explanation isn’t relevant, and I’m not obligated to give it. I said no. That’s enough.
I think a good number of folks remember my explanation from the past, and I don’t mind that at all. There may be a time where I talk about it again, in a more appropriate context, so I guess we’ll see.
That’s a lot of information in response to a very helpful ask. Thanks! The link is gone now, and I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the fic :)

Just wanted to drop by and say your recent fic with Tim antagonizing Damian with increasingly outrageous milk concoctions had me giggling. It was so cute and refreshing to see Dick enjoying Tim's little prank. And Bruce's reaction to just... walk away was fantastic!
Thank you! I’m always so thrilled when y’all think the jokes hit

Best line in a fic? Hard to pick just one, but this particular one from "Just Desserts" by fyeahbatmanandrobin on Tumblr is one of my faves: “Anyone else would be hard-pressed to provide the particular brand of excitement you bring to my life, Dami.”

@noisypaintersong said:
For the line thing: "I don't doubt it. Bruce Wayne, the unexpectedly normal guy wrapped in a mystery wrapped in a superhero wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a fake socialite wrapped in a businessman wrapped in a secretive billionaire." He paused. "…You're the seven-layer burrito of Gotham," he pondered. - Barry to Bruce in 'Of Friends and Foes' by Paganpunk2 on FFN. It's one of the funniest things I've read someone say to Bruce LOL

“I do know that according to everyone else, there is no chance, no future, no universe where I stay a hero.” Describes my frustration with the way DC treats Damian so accurately. Let the kid be a hero dammit.
Thanks! That’s really helpful. I’ve got a decent answer to my question now.

So this is Kenza retaliating against me for the milk fic. I very much hate tomatoes and specifically ketchup. This photo (1) is a nightmare and (2) fulfills its intended purpose.

This is an amazing question, and I’ll be thinking about it for the next bit, I think. That would be a really interesting topic to explore in depth

heads up. d.w.
I am back from the dead, my dudes! Hopefully for good this time. I’ll try my best to keep you guys up to date with stories and such, I hope you enjoy this one, lovelies; it’s my first time writing for Damion so. Requests are still open, by the way. I’m also going to start keeping these as non-binary as possible.
request: hi can u do a damian x vigilante reader and they all meet her for the first time and he kinda just falls for her and his fam just teasing him about his crush endlessly?? im glad u decided to come back btw : )
word count: around 2600
“Tt, you see, Batman, this is why Red Hood should never join us. He’s far too reckless,” Damian states trough his com.
Through a series of unfortunate events, Robin, Red Hood, and Nightwing had failed a mission. All they needed to do was get in, avoid too much violence, download a file filled with a minor drug dealers buyers onto a hard drive, and get out.
“First of all, don’t blame me for your problems. It’s not like I was the one to disobey Bats, that was all you, man. We had a clear goal, don’t cause chaos,” Jason’s voice echoed through the empty factory. Much like the rest, he was currently tied up and hung over a pool of hydrofluoric acid.
“Oh, so going into a building with AK-47’s blaring is the right way to go? My bad, I didn’t realize.”
I which was followed by a mutter however, due to the empty factory, came as a loud echo, “Imbecile.”
“Robin, control yourself,” Bruce stated through the com, “Tim and I will be there shortly.”
While Jason ignored Bruce, he attempted to swing over and bump into Damian. Unfortunately for him, Jason, not Damian; Damian was quite thankful, he was in no mood to be burned by acid, a loud explosion interrupted his actions.
“Well, I guess they’re finally gonna kill us,” Dick sighed, “It was nice being part of this family while it lasted.”
“I promise you will feel every last bit of the explosion, just a little heads up from one dead man to the next,” Jason added.
“Heads up, indeed.”
Over the heads of all 3 vigilantes, you glided past them, cladded in an outfit as if steampunk and a ninja collided together and became one, from pillar to pillar. (a/n: or you know, whatever you want. I’m low key digging the steampunk ninja vibe though, haha.)
When you found a pillar that was in a good enough distance to save the heroes in distress, you started jumping to each chain that held them above the acid and with perfect precision, you brought them to safety with a swift cut, catch, and release.
“Why are you all so bloody heavy?” You grunted out after you brought down Robin from the chains.
Breathlessly, you stood up from your crouching position with a smile. You clapped your hands together and rolled back onto your heels, “As much fun as this was, I truly must be going,” you turned to the man with a red helmet, “I presume you’re Red Hood, correct? I agree with this twat,” you made awkward hand gestures to Damian and continued, “Please, no more reckless behaviour; I don’t want to nearly break my back again.”
“Tt, I don't need your approval, nor should you ever call me a twat. Who are you even? Were you sent by my mother? Who do you work with? Why did you-.”
You cut him off, “Easy, tiger. No need for all these questions, all you need to know is that your in safe hands. Besides, I don’t even know who you are, but I’m definitely not against learning,” you ended your statement with a wink.
Damian’s face turned a deep crimson colour as his brothers laughed.
“Robin,” he responded.
“Excuse me?”
“I am Robin,” he clarified his response.
You laughed and gave him bow to mock him, “In that case, I’m Hawk. Pleased to you.”
“Tt, I am serious, you poor excuse of a hero.”
You put a hand to your chest and replied with, “Oh, goodness me. Why, I don’t recall ever saying I was a hero, my love. But in all seriousness, my name is Onmitsu (a/n: or whatever you want). I like to consider myself a… an antihero.”
Damian blushed, yet again. To save him from further embarrassment, Dick came forward, with arms crossed, “In order for this meeting to go on any longer, we will need a clarification of what your purpose is for being here.”
“Batman should be arriving with replacement soon,” Jason added.
“Tt, we are well past that.”
Ignoring the two who were arguing, you answered the other man, “As you know, my name’s Onmitsu and I consider myself an antihero-.”
“Why do you consider yourself that?” Dick added with squinted eyes.
Sighing, you continued, “If you would let me finish my sentence, you would have known by now. My name is Onmitsu, I see myself as an antihero because I prefer to be paid for my work, and the only reason I’m saving you idiots is because this happens to be my safe haven. There’s a nice view when there isn’t acid, chains, and random people. All you need to to is look up, the stars are quite beautiful from here, no?”
Damian looked up, “Tt, you make it seem like I would be looking at-.”
“Oh, how could I forget about you!”
Damian looked back down and to you, you were playing with the tiniest kitten he has ever seen, “It looks malnourished.”
You sighed and pat the cat behind its ear, “Her name is Manara. She is the light of my life. I found her a little over a month ago, she refuses to eat anything I give her. I don’t know what to do anymore. Do you like animals? I adore them. I prefer them over humans, humans are so unpredictable.”
Damian gave a faint smile, it wasn’t noticeable, but it didn’t slide past Jason and Dick. Or even Tim and Bruce who seemed to finally arrive.
“I couldn’t agree less, you seem to be tolerable. Perhaps you would like to meet my animals sometime. I have many, I simply adore them. I have a cat as well, his name is Alfred.”
Tim and Jason couldn’t help but snicker at Damian.
Batman clasped his hands together, “Well, we truly must be going. Onmitsu, it would be lovely to work with you in the near future,” he turned to the three who faced a near death experience, “You three were in good hands it seems. No scratches, cuts, bullet wounds. Anything?”
They all shook their heads.
“Very well. It was a pleasure meeting you, I’m quite excited for you and Robin to be dating, from the profile check I did on you, you seem quite suitable, y/n.”
“Why, thank you, Mr. Wayne. I can assure you, I mean no harm. Unless I’m provoked, that is,” you smiled.
With a sigh and a hand to his temple, “First Red Robin, now you?”
Your smile grew to a smirk, “I believe you mean, Tim Drake, sir?” You turned and nodded off the rest of the people, “Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, and last but certainly not least, Damian Wayne. It’s a pleasure to meet you all.”
Dick looked at you with confusion, “I thought you said you didn’t know Damian?”
You fiddled with your katanas and put them back in their scabbards on your back before answering, “Come on, who in their right mind would have came in saying how you already know someone’s alter ego? You gotta build up to that, my friend. Wait for the right moment, ya know?”
Your smile grew at their looks of discontent, “Please don’t worry, I have nothing against you. There’s not a dime for any of you to be dead. Surprising, I know.”
Tim yawned and added, “How reassuring.”
“Tt, calm down, Drake. Anyway, since you have the approval of my father and a reliable research, I deem you worthy to be invited to Wayne Manor.”
Jason came behind Damian and but his hands on his shoulders, “What demon is trying to say is he wants to date you. Possibly marry you, I wouldn’t be surprised if I were you; he doesn’t usually smile at people. That alone makes me hear wedding bells,” he finished by moving his index finders side to side in the air to symbolize the chiming of bells.
“Jason!” Damian hissed.
No one backed Damian up, they knew it was all too true. Never once did he show the same interest in anyone like he showed you. Inviting you over? Deeming you worthy? You were beyond confused with this seemingly dysfunctional family, but they seemed nice enough. You did your research, there was nothing to be too frightened of. What could go wrong?
“Well, it would be my honour.”
And if Damion wasn’t blushing, he sure was now, “Very well, I am free tomorrow at noon. Where shall I pick you up?”
“What about at Gotham Park? I’m already going there tomorrow, I’m down for you to come. Is that okay?” You hit his shoulder with yours.
“Okay.”
“Great, demon spawn has a date, I believe we’re done here. I really don’t want to be standing near this acid anymore. But I’m a nice guy, I’ll try to get this all cleared up for you before we leave,” Jason interjected.
“It’s fine; I’m a responsible adult, I’m sure I’ll find a way to get bloody hydrofluoric acid out of here. How the hell did it even get here?”
“You know drug dealers,” Tim cut in.
“Damn, why must this dealer just have to ruin the purest thing, I love this place” you added. “Especially you, Manara. No drug lord will ever hurt you.”
As the heroes and anti heroes walked out of the factory, Manara closely following behind, all that could be heard was the words of departure and traffic. For once, there was no raindrops to fill the erie city that is Gotham.
