not really a ramble and more of a brainfart but i really do find it interesting how mercy is,,,really really similar to both ajax and fox, the two girls she replaces in the roll-calls. Like ajax she is very confrontational, quite aggressive, and quick to defend and fight, but like fox she is also quite insecure in her standing and worth in the warriors and is very eager to prove herself to them. and in my opinion, the former makes fox entrust the warriors to her in reunion square, and the latter makes ajax trust her in sick of runnin'. I dunno what this all means but um yea I just find it neat that she takes after the two characters that really got fleshed out the most compared to their movie versions!

i love that the murder time trio all have dangerous little greetings. horror has his little hand drill thing. killer puts a knife up his sleeve and then does a little switcharoo. dust INSTINCTIVELY shoots whoever he sees with a bone. no greeting whatsoever. so just imagine how things go on a first meeting or whatever. immediately horror and killer have to dodge bones from dust and horror's like hey wtf man. mildly irritated but he just met these guys so he's willing to forgive. he's not gonna lose his cool in front of these two random ass guys even though one just tried to kill him. killer just has that dumbass smile on his face like always (but he was intrigued when dust did that. like who tries to kill someone on first sight?? he's curious now :3)

and then theyre all just standing together and staring for a moment and horror sticks out his hand. killer takes the bait but then he just points a knife to horror's stolen eye once he realizes that he got duped and his other hand is now currently being drilled into. dust didn't shake either of their hands because he could see the drill and tell that killer had something off about him in general. but he does give a tiny smile when he sees the state that the two r in rn with the drill and knife. it's an eensy bit funny in his eyes

Ngl, when I made that “I’m not going anywhere and neither are you. btw” story my lock screen, it felt kind of silly and strange. But it’s been—a week? Two? And it’s getting harder and harder to remember and internalize that sentiment, so. Thanks, Liv. I really need that attitude, now and…probably for a while to come.

Playing Elnea kingdom as if Knights and Scholars are sort of like nobility, and trying to figure out arranged marriages between them (and also my character) on first gen to get the best talent odds on future generations is a NIGHTMARE

I think for every feelgood story about a person who got an ADHD diagnosis later in life, tried out meds and found them incredibly useful, and is now thriving, probably runs their own business and maybe even thinks of ADHD as their superpower, Finnish media (and maybe international media too, I dunno if these stories are a trope elsewhere) should be obligated to publish two stories about people who are long-term unemployed, unable to work and/or in prison because of their ADHD.

Getting personal on the track but man. What if I said disabled Jepexx with chronic pain and muscle weakness, maybe some tics and absence seizures. Always acting larger than life so he doesn’t have to acknowledge how in pain he is, laughing the loudest at jokes and making sure that everyone knows he’s alive, he’s here, he’s fun. He needs a shower chair and grab bars, maybe some forearm crutches, but he doesn’t actually use them because he’s afraid to be looked at differently. His friends joke about how he says weird shit at the worst times (coprolalia) zones out in the middle of conversations (petit mal seizures) and has greasy hair (too in pain to shower) and he refuses to explain that it’s because he’s hurting. It’s all a part of his front of Normal Person Who Doesn’t Care when really he’s in so much pain all the time and fights so hard to appear normal. Because what does he have if he’s not the normal abled Jepexx he always was? Maybe he has a severe crash, one where he has to stop hiding his symptoms and is forced to come to terms with the wreck of his body. Maybe he flares up and can’t go to school for a week and gets teased about skipping. I just think he should be disabled!!!!!! Fuck!!!!!

The skies seemed to open up with one of them a month, all from some multiverse or some such, all considerably miserable to find their way back home for some greater purpose he supposed. Honestly, if only one would be smart enough to patch the hole they came out of in the first place... The news buzzed and another spidery cunt through the hole. To which, Butcher had taken as a sign to ignore had this particular spider had no better idea than to stalk him.

Smoke billowed from a cigarette as boots scraped against asphalt in tandem with strides evenly placed amidst the darkening cityscape -- now backlit with streetlights lining the concrete sidewalks. Hallowed breathing became balanced-- not daring to look back and give suspicion to the subtle thwips that followed across rooftops. Ducking, weaving through alleys until he'd been sure the confusing trek had lost some directional foresight from being looked at from on high -- he waited in anticipation round a brick building.

He'd nearly finished his cigarette when he lunged out from his place -- arm extending, grasping his pursuer around the throat, wrenching that female form clad in spandex against an adjacent wall. Snug as a bug being pinned betwixt his thumb and index fingers which had been careful not to crush the windpipe nuzzled in his grasp. "Aye. They also say spiders these days are like wiping your ass with a hoop.", he breaths a puff of smoke encapsulating the space between them, his free hand placing the bud of his cig square in the center bridge of where masked eyebrows would be, pressing down.

I loved SoL, so naturally, I did have to also play West of Loathing. It feels very different and I never quite clicked on my first two runs, but I finally got attached to a character on my third run! He's part boy part cow and the strongest motherfucker this side of Dirtwater.

Bonus doodles of my other two runs. Isaac was just me figuring the game out so wasn't much, and Kai was fully a murder hobo run because the game lets you get truly ruthless. Being evil is fun.

Inktober Day 10: Strength

Strength is a card of resilience, often stretching as far as being described as super humanly strong. It is a card of determination and fearlessness in endeavors. And strength breeds more strengths like it. It is often impossible to count how many stories of strength emerge after one particularly big act of strength in history.

I’ve been looking forward to this card so much, you don’t understand. I thought the strength, ‘specially in Jeff’s case, is literal. And like. The list’d be shorter to find who DIDN’T make an OC like him for a while.
