re: elves and other non-human races having a fetishized view of humans - it makes me think of how in many fantasy settings humans are the only race able to interbreed with the other races, or are always the most common in interspecies pairings 🤔 Can see how being very attractive/attracted to other species could becomes a stereotype for humans, or a defining trait like intellect for elves, strength for orc/demons, senses for beastfolk...

Classic fantasy rules typically have 'versatility/adaptability' as a human's special trait, but there's a better case for breedability methinks, if only unofficially 🤭

I havent been able to shake off the idea that humans would be seen as the sort of “blank-slate” species in a fantasy settings either; but ive also thought of framing it in a way that it is this exact…plainness? that makes humans stand out to some. if i were to push it further (and disregard all semblance of biological reasoning) perhaps humans are sought after because their weaker gene expressions will always give way to potent non-human genes, and halflings bear little to no sign of their human blood (at least on surface) - meaning that if all else fails, humans would be perfect vessels with great success for breed-ability...im not sure if im making any sense at all LOL but this is just a long-winded way to say humans are the superstar interbreeding extraordinaires with a 120% success rate!!!! which make them magnets to nefarious horny non-human/monster folk that need to get their shit ROCKED

Do the matoran even know what the difference between male and female is. Did the great beings ever instil the knowledge in them or is it just something that they like. Picked up from other species like the vortixx and skakdi. And makuta i guess. Do they assume female and male are an oversemplification of the elemental thing. So like you have female which is Water and then all the other elements just get funneled into male which instead of a specific element is just Not-Water.

How do they rationalize lightning matoran then. Like are they a subkind of ga-matoran? Because water is a good conductor for lightning? And what about Orde and the psionics. robins but ranked by how quickly they seem to have gotten to a "bruce is my dad" stage

1- jason. thats his dad. bruce didnt really have much competition given that jasons dad was practically nonexistent in his life.

2- damian. blood relation. not very enthusiastic about it after he bonds with dick and gets a taste of what a guardian can be, but still accepts it to some extent. same cant be said of bruce who insists on being Bad Weird about the whole thing.

3- tim. yes he did make up a whole fake uncle to dodge the adoption draft, but more so (from what he tells dick at least) bc he saw how messy/raw things were between dick and bruce and he didnt wanna make dick feel bad if bruce adopted him at that moment.

4- dick. he and bruce are so messy its not ok. even when bruce gave him the adoption papers it was so. they are trying so hard to be father and son but it does Not work for a variety of reasons. from personal conflicts, to dick having had the most loving original family of any of the others, to them wanting to be equals but already not being able to healthily manage that with the ex mentor-mentee relationship let alone a father-son one. the cant even navigate their former hero-sidekick dynamic their asses are NOT gonna be able to create a familial connection there. at BEST they might work up to brothers, but there's way too much history for father and son.

I wanted to ask if like. What Pearl is doing could be considered co-fronting? She's just. Always next to me. Over my shoulder clinging to me what have you. It feels different than let's say Ula/Garnet or anyone else lurking in the front room because I am keenly aware of ze's presence from the moment I wake up.

The thing is we were told this is co-conscious which literally makes no sense because that's just, literally not possible we are mono. And we're legit stressed out by this because Pearl is technically my fronting buddy and we both believe she is wholeheartedly in co-front but being told otherwise made me way too angry.

disclaimer, whether we're entirely a median is questionable because some of us are more connected than others. that being said, i myself can largely cross all memory and conciousness barriers so i kind of get the experience. also the exact definition of cocon and cofront are kinda blurry so i think its up to interp.
