I always love it when your characters interact with T'Challa. He's so well written, and they all bounce off each other so well. Ghost especially. But I've forgotten how much T'Challa was influenced by Duke, and them interacting now after what happened in Berlin is so so good

I know we all are waiting for the eventual reveal/ confrontation of the real identityes of the Forgers, the ones im actually most excited about is Yor and Yuri finding out out about their real jobs.

Like their entire lives revolved around supporting each other trought any means so the other wouldnt have to suffer. Yor became an assassin at a young age to financially support Yuri so he could have a better future and Yuri did the same when becoming an SSS oficer, to thank Yor for all she did and build a safer country for her.

Finidng out that all the deaths, all the lies were basicly for nothing, because Yor had already seen the ugly side of the world for so long and been a part of it and Yuri blodied his hands for Yor in the exact way she hoped it wouldnt happen.

It would completly destroy them both but also Yor now also has the Forgers, she has a new objective to protect her new family while Yuri has no one, his world still revolves around Yor and the truth would shatter everything he knows and his objectives

And i cant wait for it to happen in the manga

to all the mods, how did you get into mlp and who is your favorite background pony :0?

i got into mlp around age 7 or 8, and i dont quite remember how lol. i think it either just was on the hub a lot and i watched it out of curiosity or it was all over the internet and i watched it for the same reason...i always loved horses though!! i took horse riding lessons as a young kid and i also collected bella sara cards and played howrse competitively! my fav background ponies are probably dr whooves, muffins vinyl and octavia though! i also quite like zecora and luna but i think theyre both secondary chars lol. - mod twilight

I got into mlp through one of my friends when i was fairly young!! we liked to watch the old movies on vhs!!! and my favourite background ponies are Lyra and Bonbon and also Dr Whooves - Mod Braeburn

I liked it a little bit as a preteen and a kid, I had a few of the toys (brushable rainbowdash was my fav) But me and my gf both got back into it fairly recently!! My favorite background character is probably DJ pon-3! - Mod Rainbowdash

I got into in young and it was the only thing i ever drew and since I connected so deeply and loved art it was my favorite thing. (up until the show ended) Ive also been rekindling my love for it with this blog and art! I also LOVE thorax - Mod Big Mac

I was in love with it when I was a kid and enjoyed it in secret in middle school but now that I'm older I feel more comfortable in enjoying it again!! Me and my partner got back into it together! I think the character design and pleasant friendly atmosphere was the biggest draw for me :) My favourite background pony is Fleur De Lis -mod starcatcher

I grew up on g1 and g3 so those gens were my introduction!! My mom handed me down her g1 toys and vhs’s and I watched and played with g3 as it came out. Hasbro has a customer for life lol! And I know it’s a bit of a basic answer, but my fav background characters from g4 have to by lyra and bonbon. Sansa is my favorite character. She has been for years, and I really want her to finally get her happy ending and be with Jon. I really hope it happens, but I dont wanna get my hopes up. I have to confess though... my first ship with her was the hound, and then Tyrion. And I definitely understand now that they are super problematicand abusive relationships, but sometimes I go back and look at them. Like I still like them but I definitely don't want her to end up with either of them. (1/2)

I really want Santa to be happy and last year I finally started seeing jonsa and I fell in love. And i feel like jonsa would finally mean happiness and comfort for my girl. I just feel like kinda ashamed that i still like those other ships even though i know whats wrong with them. There is a lot wrong with them i will be honest. I just wanted to get it off my chest and tell someone and also say I’m sorry for it I guess??

Well I guess as long you don’t pretend S*nrion and S*nsan are unproblematic it’s not that bad… I understand what can possibly attract in those ships (kind of B&B trope) but to ship that I’d have to ignore the pedophilia, abuse and toxicity of those relationships and that’s a big no for me.

In my teen years I was a huge Twilight fan and a huge Bella/Edward shipper, but now, even though I still hold some tenderness for those movies (I know they’re bad, but I was in a really dark place at the time, and the books and movies helped me escape a bit and for this I’ll always have some sweet feelings about them), but now even if I sometimes revisit it and will still smile at the romantic quotes, I can’t ship it like I used too, because since then I educated myself and realised there were a lot of toxic and abusive aspects in this relationship (as in about 80% of the Twilight ships…) so I kinda get what you mean.

I started to like Sansa by mid-end of s1, and she became one of my favorite character somewhere between s4 and 6. I watched Robb & Talisa, Sam & Gilly, and was hoping for Sansa to also have a real romantic interest, because I always saw her as one of the most romantic character of the story… so I tried to invest in some popular ships, but most of them are so problematic I just couldn’t like those potential relationship… the Hound kept verbally assaulting her and calling her stupid, she was forced to marry Tyrion, Petyr was using her and a pedocreep, Margeary wasn’t there for her anymore as soon as she was of no interest anymore for her family (yeah after the Red Wedding, when Sansa didn’t eat nor sleep anymore, that she was depressed and would have needed a friend, where was good friend Margaery ?)…

Then end of s5-early s6 I kinda shipped her with Theon… And here arrive Johnny boy, who gives her heart eyes, is gentle, protects her, worries about her, takes care of her, doesn’t try to usurp her claim, doesn’t abuse her, isn’t twice her age, respects her boundarries… Really, the relationship Sansa has with Jon, is like the only one where she has agency, is treated as an equal, and is happy ? I won’t lie and say I won’t be a bit disappointed and sad if Jonsa doesn’t become canon, but that’s not what made me watch the show first. As long as both Jon and Sansa are alive and happy at the end, it will be fine for me.

hullo! i'ev considered creating a blog and maybe doin fan fics for fun for the squad but i feel like i would do the personalities wrong or write them out of character. any advice? also your fics are really good! i really enjoy reading them.

Hello! ^.^ I feel like I’m in the twilight zone because people keep coming to me for advice and I’m, like, super new to the fandom. Plus I’m not that good. Look at some of the people I follow to see REALLY good fics (and art, I’m a sucker for art). But once again, I’ll try my best to help you!

How to keep characters IN character is one of the most important aspects of writing. Not just fanfiction, either. The reason that learning it THROUGH fanfiction is better, though, it because there is already a set expectation of the character. You don’t have to really question changing the character’s personality, because these are already developed people/characters. For example, we know that Evan isn’t the type to rage in a game. To have him do something like that would be really hard to explain unless you imply an event in the story that can create a catalyst for that personality change (an example of this could be hiding a death in the family, someone in the story making racist slurs to him, a fan trying to report his friends as cheaters despite not doing it). I do really advise against that, though, unless absolutely needed for your plotline. My reasoning is that, even if the event would cause an abnormal reaction that one time, the character would eventually go back to how they were. And bringing them back into that previous character is going to be even harder than before.

Speaking of plotline...not EVERY idea is going to work for every character. It sucks when you do have a cool idea but it doesn’t fit what a person would do. It’s the same as when we were little, trying to fit square pegs into circle holes; no matter how much you want it, it’s not going to work. When making your storyline, you have to make sure the idea you’re coming up with would be in the realm of what they would or wouldn’t do. Having Brian as an atheist because you need a supporting character in that role just doesn’t cut it. His religion is an intricate part of his personality; it’d be like claiming Evan was Russian or Nogla was black. People WILL notice. If you’re doing an AU, some things can be pushed a little. The way people became friends or events that happened in their lives. But don’t make someone who has a really good relationship with their family and talks to them regularly get savagely beaten and left on the side of the road. Don’t make Cartoonz and Delirious absolutely hate each other for no reason. You can make a story have drama or angst without diluting the fact too much.

And I guess something else I can say is something I said in a previous post; character sheets. If you’re worried about making a character out of character, have a sheet that you can look back at. It can have their quirks, backstories, bio information, and even the plotline of what you want them to do in the story. I’d also look online for character charts. When I’m writing characters for my book, I use a site called “Charahub” which allows you to literally create a character. You don’t really need that amount of information for fanfiction, as you have some of the information (age, height, weight, ethnicity, etc) already on hand. But having a chart where you can say ‘Okay, how would Tyler react to getting told he was hot? How would Craig react to this?’ means that you can make distinct differences between their personalities. Sometimes these reactions will be the same, but sometimes they’re completely different. That’s why it’s important to take the time and really learn the characters before you use them (As you see, I tend to use Scotty less than Ohm because I’ve watched Ohm’s videos way more and feel like I know him better). DON’T throw someone in a story if you don’t have a clue what they’re like. It will ruin the natural flow of the other characters and fans will pick it out like a sore thumb.

Lastly, respect your characters. It may seem like a weird thing to say, but treat them well. I say this because if you put this onto the internet, it’s there forever. And if, for some reason, these people read your story, you dont want to hurt them. I love the BBS boys, and though I take some liberties with them, I try to portray them the best I can because I respect them as people. They deserve love, and there’s a reason the idea is called FANfiction. Don’t make Panda an abusive asshole or have Brock be a promiscuous cheater. These are just simply NOT who they are. And if that’s someone’s intention, then they really should just create their own stories. Respect your characters like you’d want them to respect you.

I hope that these tips help, and if they don’t I’m terribly sorry. I can’t say enough how I’m not a super famous or great writer, but I thank you for reaching out to me. Now please enjoy this fandom, as I’m sure they’ll have open arms for you! ^.^
