Everyone's always complaining like, "oh, men only write women as shallow damsels in distress" and "oh, women only write men as personality-less wish fulfillment"

So I thought I'd point out two of my favorite examples where this is not the case.

Okay imma be level with you i dont like the play 

the story is incomplete and not that exciting, too little details and whatnot

But I like everything else other than the play

to fool Amadate they decided to put announcement saying they’d broadcast a livestream with important announcement and also theyre making use of rumors of mankai going to disband

Instead Sakuya as Saku is playing a skit of him meeting MANKAI company

This skit excites me more than the play itself ngl

The whole gang admits their reasons to love theatre acting

They dont say anything about what would happen if they’re not in MANKAI probably because more than half of them are nsfw and would cause international incidents but I digress

The dialogue of this skit are golden omg

Zen, Yuzo, Kasumi, and Hiro act as the terrorists, and Autumn plus Chikage and Hisoka do battle scene with them

Citron : ITS SPACE AGAR! (konyaku) Masumi : Attack, you mean. (shingyaku)

Kazunari : HOLY SHIT ALIEN INVASION! Can I post this on inste??

Saku : Im sorry, I’m troubling you... Guy : Don’t worry. It happens often Tasuku : Yeah, we should probably do something about that

Misumi : Aww, and here I thought we’d get new alien member Yuki : Don’t add more to our variation

The skit is what makes me not like the play

It’s because at the end, Saku said that his irreplaceable existences are his friends the pirates ANIMS and also his goal to reach his hometown

Since in real life, Sakuya’s found family went to pick him up in Hokkaido, Saku’s choice to stay with A12 people and not have ANIMS pirates come pick him up again leaves bad taste in my mouth

I MEAN THANK GOD HE FOUND HIS BIRTH FAMILY BUT HELLO??? Anims are your found family, saku. They risked their lives multiple times for you, saku. Doug’s dad died for you, Saku. WHAT THE HELL SAKU

Sure Spring is Sakuya’s family, but story and real life isnt mirrored at all and so I hate the play, there I said it

Hyakka is in shambles, but Kabuto is determined to revive it. Even though the blame is all in Amadate and not Hyakka company, the company still get pretty severe bashing online. So many quit and those who remain lose motivation. Is Aoshi still there? Who knows. 

Mankai company are all back in the dorm

Azuma brings his hoarded alcohols, Omi and Guy cooked ungodly amount of food in excitement for celebration

Azami comment on the skin state of the group, with Itaru being worst for staying late often to game

Homare : I also wrote a lot of poems for this day! After this party, why don’t we open a poem-reading event?! Hisoka : Participation non-mandatory

Due to the scandal, there’s no nomination, but MANKAI gets special award for helping keep public’s faith in theatre despite the scandal

And Sakyo is like, the theatre reparations will cost us a lot and we’ll have to take loans, and since this is just special award there might not even be money prize back to basic yada yada etc etc

Yukio is back and he’s an advisor to FLEUR committee now

He has wound on his forehead

When asked why by Reni, he said he got hit by his wife and it took 3 days and 3 nights of apologizing for her to finally be let in the house

To be exact, he’s not let inside the house, and after three days and three nights of apologizing, she slammed the door open yelling SHUT UP and the door hit his forehead

As Reni said, it’s a miracle she hasnt asked for a divorce

Yukio : I need to make it up to her Reni : And you just told me you’re going to be busy with making new troupe

He might be a good producer/director, but he’s a terrible husband. Even Reni lampshades this

Yukio calls Reni his partner. Reni said he’s no longer Yukio’s partner, but a rival (since Yukio is planning of making a new troupe)

Reni said he’ll help out sometimes when he’s not busy with GOD troupe, but only if Yukio changed his intended name for the troupe (since he acknowledged MANKAI is Izumi’s now)

Yukio named it ( Ripened (kanjuku) company) since he planned to invite all the first gen into it to prove a point that theatre doesnt care about age and stuffs

For headcanons

No more than three characters per request, feel free to be as specific as you’d like. The more you tell me about what you want me to write, the easier it’ll be for me to deliver content to your liking. Please don’t mix fandoms tho! You’re more than welcome to send multiple requests in. 

Also please let me know if you’d like a female, male or neutral reader. If it’s not clarified in your request, I will use a female reader as default, as that’s what I’m more comfortable writing for.

English is not my native language so I apologize in advance for all of the mistakes I’m undoubtedly going to make. It’s been a hot minute since I wrote  so I might be a lil rusty, but I can assure you I’ll be doing my best.

I’m fine with writing about a/b/o dynamics, abuse, trauma, depression, yandere themes and poly relationships, but I understand not everyone is comfortable with these topics so they will be tagged accordingly. Writings about stuff I consider possible triggers such as blood (I’m looking @ you, Rei) will have a trigger warning at the begging as well.

OMG GIVE ME THE YACHI'S MOM AND TSUKISHIMA'S MOM HCS

MY HONEY MY LOVE I WROTE A FIC ABOUT THEIR FIRST MEETING but aside from that goddddd, its been a while since i thought abt hq but these two are so dear to my heart :’)

Yachi Madoka’s husband died when hitoka was little, as a widow she turned completely to her job ending up workaholic, thus more often than not neglecting her daughter. Tsukishima Izumi’s husband was… a mess. When akiteru was little he was barely present and by the time kei was born he left them. Izumi always tried to give their sons all the love she could give, but with too much things in her mind she may have ended up being too carefree, and didnt notice akiteru’s lies and kei’s depression (bc i love my boy but you cannot tell me he didnt have depression)

They met for the first time (on the regular universe, bc i have a million aus of them bye) in a school event, where Izumi hears the name yachi and shes like “oh you must be hitoka’s mother! hi! im kei’s mom :)” because she’s that kind of mom. Madoka found her… odd, and lowkey annoying at first but after seeing her sincere love for her children and her honest interest on whatever job Madoka has she started to grow on her alright. They exchange phones by the end of the day.

That saturday her friend and the contact talk about the dress, while Izumi buys Madoka a desert, and end up talking about stuff. Their kids, at first, their husbands at some point (mostly izumi, trashing on the guy, its been a while since madoka thought about him), and then of their future plans. Izumi talks about this place she wanted to go, casually asking her if shes free to go with her. Madoka, who hasnt been free in ages, considers it

she accepts, and goes with her. And so on for a few months until madoka is the one inviting her to her fashion shows and stuff. And so on and so on. It takes a while for madoka to realize that shes in fact hitting on her, and while she was shocked at first, she was… charmed. (she kisses her first, one night)

Now, im gotta be honest with you for a second: Izumi has more charm than her two sons together, rip aki + kei. Madoka? she thought she lost her charm when her husband died but everytime izumi makes her laugh Izumi feels #Blessed

Madoka is like, way shorter than izumi, shes got the tsukishima height alright, even when madoka wears heels shes still a few inches shorter

Izumi looks like an art teacher, period. She wears these colorful clothes that most often than not dont match but she always accessorize it with stuff and since shes pretty and cheerful everything looks good on her. Madoka, on the other hand, is a modist?? or if i remember correctly she desings lcothes or stuff like that so she knows. suits are a thing, also plain shirts, simple stuff. They both think the other looks the prettiest when they go out together

the first time they both went to a game together (kei’s second year perhaps?) madoka discovers that izumi is absolutely a SOCCER MOM. She yells!! the loudest!! she cheers!!! with her heart!!! she passive-agressive shows off his son to hinata’s mom!!! like the tsukishima she is!!!! madoka is a lil bit intimidated but also gosh yknow? when karasuno wins she applauds and lowkey yells “woo!” 

“i saw your game today Kei! im so proud of you!” “yes, mom, i saw and heard you there…” “… :)?” // ”hitoka, today was a nice game” “you saw it on tv?” “no, i was there” “w-what?? really?” “…yes, i was there, why do you sound so…” “well, you generally never come to our games, it is a little weird!” “…oh…”

izumi isnt stupid, and she knows that these past years kei has been… kinda odd, which is why she always tried to overcompensate it with love, but then is when she realizes that, sometimes, she utterly embarrases him. Madoka knows that shes been neglecting her daughter and has tried to bridge that gap, but sometimes she doesnt know how to.

That being said, they try to be better mothers together. Izumi teaching her how to be more open with her love, Madoka teaching her how to give firm encouragement without either sounding insincere or too bright to be true

the next game madoka makes sure her daughter knows shes there

izumi isnt sure how to aproach kei, but starts asking him about techniches and strategy, one step at a time

eventually, they tell their children they’re together… it gets mixed reactions. 

by their second year tho tsukki and yacchan are friends (+ yama!) so its better than nothing but its like like what the HELL alright, now they’re SIBLINGS! (kei is glad that at least is her, he likes her. hitoka never had a sibling so this is new! akiteru LOVES BOTH HIS BROTHER AND HIS NEW BABY SISTER!!!!!!!!!). And eventually the yachi family moves in with the tsukishimas 

ALRIGHT! THATS PRETTY MUCH IT! my hq days are over but i have a very soft spot for these two :’) they would be just so good alright? imagine izumi trying to bond with hitoka!! imagine madoka and kei sitting in the living room in silence but comfortable!!!!! imagine _(:’3 」∠)_

Summary: A year after the War, Iroh has returned to Ba Sing Se to re-open the Jasmin Dragon. Late one evening he receives some unexpected visitors.

Shadows fell over Ba Sing Se in peace. After enduring three sieges over the course of the Hundred Years War, the damage was extensive but after the past year much was repaired, and life had gone back to normal. Most of the rest of the world was recovering as well. Zuko was crowned Fire Lord and his bride, Katara, had given birth to Crown Princess Izumi. Aang was travelling with his partner Toph Beiphong attempting to heal the hurts of the war. Suki and Ty Lee were guarding the Fire Lord with the rest of the Kyoshi Warriors. For most the peace was a victory. For Aang and his friends it was bitter sweet. When Zuko and Katara lead the raid on Boiling Rock, Sokka, who was in a fire nation prison, was sentenced to death by the former Fire Lord. After the war’s end no record could be found of his fate. Princess Azula went missing within a week after Ozai ordered Sokka’s execution. After Fire Lord Zuko could not find any new information, he issued a 200,000 ban reward on Azula to bring her in for questioning regarding Sokka’s disappearance. Although Aang and his companions did their best to work through their sorrow and move on, Katara continued on with the hope that one day, Sokka would return.

A few months after Zuko’s Coronation, Iroh moved from Royal Caldera City to Ba Sing Se, hired Smellerbee and Longshot, and re-opened the Jasmin Dragon. For him, this was his dream, being at peace with his own tea shop once again. At this time of night most of his patrons had left, going back home to sleep, to work, or to other businesses open past sunset. Due to the late hour, he had sent Smellerbee home to Longshot, finished up with a few customers and was preparing to close when the soft ring of his bell came. Looking up, Iroh saw a man and woman who must be in a relationship as the woman was holding his left hand with their fingers interlaced the way couples do. Both were hooded and wrapped in travel stained, warn grey and brown cloaks that were probably Earth Kingdom green when they were new. The man carried himself like a soldier, walking with confidence but not too fast that his companion couldn’t keep up. Everything about his face but lower half was obscured in the shadow of his hood; he had a brown beard along his jawline and chin and had the complexion of a water tribesman. His companion’s face was also shadowed by her hood, but she was entirely different, having full lips and a pale complexion with locks of strawberry blond hair peeking out. Though she carried herself with a straight back and the confidence that the soldier had, Iroh could see her nervousness in the way she gripped his forearm with her right hand and the way she looked around the room. Iroh approached to couple and directed them to a small table.

“It’s a wonderful evening, is it not? Might a suggest a blend of chamomile?”

The woman nodded, not at Iroh but at her companion, who had removed his hood revealing a full head of brown hair pulled back in a loose ponytail and familiar deep blue eyes that reminded Iroh very much of the Fire Lady.

“Are you Iroh, General of the Fire Nation?” the man asked.

“Former General, but yes, Mr….”

“Tianlon,” the man replied, then gestured at the woman. “This is my wife.”

Iroh looked at the woman, who had also taken off her hood to reveal her long strawberry blond hair and a set of piercing amber eyes laced with hope yet also fear. He instantly recognized those eyes and wondered as they were not eyes that he would have ever guessed would contain fear.

“We came to you for help.” The woman said as she looked at her husband as if for courage. Her unforgettable voice confirmed Iroh’s conclusion. He raised his eyebrows at the couple.

“We need shelter, and well,” The man said with a wave of his hand. “We are willing to work for it. We need jobs too.”

“Why not go to your family in the Fire Nation?” Iroh asked the woman. “Im sure…”

The woman shook her head rather violently before forlornly staring at her hands in her lap.

“Circumstances prevent us from going to our family.” The man replied, passing Iroh a Pai Sho tile. “We were told we could trust you to help us.”

“That is not surprising,” Iroh nodded as he picked up the white lotus tile, passing it between his fingers. “I might be able to, Mr. and Mrs. Tianlon. But first let me close my shop.”

Iroh got up to lock the front door, shut the windows, and preceded to brew some Jasmin tea knowing it was the woman’s favorite. He returned with three cups and the steaming pot and poured for the couple.

“Please drink.” He said before sipping his own tea. The man sipped but the woman stared at the tea in front of her before taking a tentative sip herself. Her face lit up before contorting with worry and shock.

“How did you know?”

“I would never forget what my niece’s favorite tea is.” Iroh replied with a grin. “If I may ask, Mr. Tianlon, what is your first name?”

“I guess there isn’t any point in hiding anymore.” Azula replied with a sigh. “My husband’s name is Sokka.”  

“Well.” Iroh said as he kept his surprise at that revelation hidden. “Azula, Sokka, tell me your tale, start from the beginning.”

I dont own Avatar or its characters. but i do love the series. <3

This will be part of a much larger multipart fanfic that will start with Day of the Black Sun and end during Legend of Korra. obviously a major redemption ark is coming :P
