Every day I come into work, all smiling and welcoming, and what do I get in return? A roll of the eyes if I'm lucky.

But I don't let him get to me, I love my job. My boss is chill, I love hanging out with Lucky, and the Spenglers seem nice! It's a good gig, really.

I'm the "PR guy" for Ghost Corps. Every time they fuck up and destroy a building or whatever I'm the one who covers it up. I'm a real smooth talker, 'gift of the gab' my mum used to call it.

The team needs me, I know that, they know that. Im crucial to the whole operation, the sole reason why that whiny mayor dude hasnt shut them down.

I'm the one who goes to press interviews, who goes on the radio or on TV. I'm the social media manager, I make videos, and post tweets, fuck I've even started a Ghostbusters youtube account! I deserve a raise honestly. #justiceforY/NthePRguy

I get on with everyone at work except for Pinfield, and I genuinely dont know why.

I've tried getting him to feature in videos, or explain the science of stuff to me so I can actually seem like I know what I'm talking about- but he just brushes me off.

Gary tries to reassure me about this on a daily basis. "Its nothing to do with you Y/N" he smiled one day, putting a hand on my shoulder and guiding me away from the busy scientist. "He doesnt really talk to anyone, he gets really passionate about his work"

"I get that, but there's no need for him to be a dick to me, he's got me thinking all kinds of shit honestly!" I replied, exhasperated "I've never done nowt to him"

Suddenly, Pinfield raised his head from his work, scrunching his eyebrows together. "thats a double negative" he commented, looking at me as if I was stupid. Great, It's the most he's ever spoken to me and its a fucking insult- atleast I think it is.

"you what?" I ask, making my way over to him despite Garys protests. I fold my arms, looking as menacing as i can (which ive been told isn't very menacing at all)

"I said its a double negative, if you've never done nothing then you must've done something" before I can reply, he adds onto the end "which you haven't, by the way. I dont know why you think that. I treat you the same as anyone else"

I can't explain why his answer bothers me so much, but it does. Why does he view me in the same way he views the others? That's hardly fair. I'm always welcoming to him, I make time out of my day to include him in things. I hate to admit it, but I genuinely admire him aswell. His love for all things paranormal, the way he gets so excited and proud when he gets to explain the science of ghost-catching to someone. It's oddly endearing.

I tell him as much (excpet for the stuff about him being endearing, he doenst need his ego inflated any more than it already is)

He looks confused, I've never seen him look like that- its weird. Arrogant? sure. Annoyed? when is he not bffr. Happy? Once or twice. But confused? Weird. This is the guy with all the answers, the smart one.

He thinks for a moment, before seemingly making a desision. He stands up with a small huff of exhasperation, and walks off.

As he goes past me, he grabs my arm, more gently than I thought he was capable of. Okay, i guess im coming too. Fun, roadtrip time.

He takes me out of the lab and down the corridor, into a relatively well lit small room.

"Well this is-" before i can speak properly, he cuts me off. Told you he was a prick.

"I dont understand you Y/N" he blurts out, looking at me, as if I'm some sort of specimin hes studying in the lab.

"Well good." I joke. I dont like the serious tone he's taking. Dont like how aware I am of his gaze. HATE the fact I can feel my cheeks burning. Gross. Pinfield is a dick, we've established this. Why the fuck am I BLUSHING because he's LOOKING at me? Bit embarassing, pull it together Y/LN.

He doenst like this though. He shakes his head, pacing around.

"No Y/N you dont get it. I understand everyone, sort of anyways. I've observed them, I can predict their reactions to things. I know what they're all like- but you're... I just dont understand! You're so happy and nice all the time, but you also get angry at stupid stuff, but never really properly angry? I cant make sense of it, genuinely. You've not done anything wrong, you can't do anything wrong. Thats frustrating too. It's like you're this perfect, beautiful person, and I've been trying to see flaws but I cant-" He rambles, speaking like hes just letting out one stream of constant thoughts. He seems stressed, poor guy.

I interupt him, grabbing his arm. "Hey, c'mon Pinfi- I- Lars. C'mon Lars. I'm not worth the stress mate" I try and reassure him, but that just agitates him more.

"See! That's just it! I've been horrible to you, I admit it. But you've kept trying with me! When I hurt my hand you were the one who bandaged it and put it in a sling"

(i had found him almost blacked out from the pain on the lab floor, even the memory of it sent a shiver down my spine)

"you were the only one that looked for me after we all nearly died fighting Garraka"

("Pinfield? Pinfield!? Oh my god, there you are! Thank fuck you're alright!" Okay maybe this tiny non-crush had been going on longer than i thought... christ)

"I dont like the thought of you hurt..." i muttered, embarrased. this definitely wasnt how i was expecting this conversation to go, fuck my life I was crushing on a nerdy scientist who defintely didn't like me back.

He stopped his pacing and walked over to me until the gap between us was non existant. He slowly, hesitantly, lifted his hand until he cupped my cheek.

"I don't like the thought of you upset because of me" he muttered, his voice low.

My heart completely stopped, my breath caught in my throat, was this happening? how was this happening? i swear this guy was like my mortal enemy not even 5 minutes ago. so many revelations were bieng made today...

I decided to be bold, why not? fuck it, i've got nothing to loose at this point.

I leaned in so our noses just grazed eachother, looking at him, really genuinely looking at him. his soft blue eyes that seemed to peer into my soul. Not pierce through it, like some weird blue eyed fuckers i knew, but looked. gently, tenderly, as if he was looking at everything i ever had been, or would be. like i was something beautiful, something to be treaured.

It made me want to sob at the thought. god, how disgustingly sweet.

"make up for it then" i whispered, the tension so thick i could cut it with a knife.

I'd planned on being the one to make the forst move, but apparently, that was all that Lars needed.

He kissed me. His soft lips pressed against mine, sotfly, tenderly, tentatively.

I could feel the anxiety radiating off of him, so i quickly reciprocated. More eagerly than i owuldve liked- but oh well.

I could feel his hand resting on my waist, his thumb gently stroking my cheek. It all felt so tender, so raw, not at all how i thought it would be.

I felt like a teenager again, and couldnt resist letting out a small giggle, making Lars pull away. He looked confused again, making me laugh once again.

"What?" he aksed, a sort of amused smile on his face.

"Nothing- sorry. Nothing at all. Just thinking of how fuming mums gonna be when i tell her ive got a posho for a boyfriend"

"I am NOT posh!"

"I AM NO- wait- boyfriend?"

he cut me off with another kiss, this one much more confident.

It felt like a million fireworks were going off in my head, oh I could definetly get used to this feeling. This war, sweet, happy feeling. My senses were flooded with everything Lars. His taste, his smell, his touch.

Tom Kaulitz x fem reader !!

When your friends invited you to go to Hawaii with them you immediately started packing all of your clothes. You were beyond excited to go since you have heard super nice things about Hawaii, you were especially excited to go to the beach.

You’ve heard how beautiful the ocean was and you couldn’t wait to go see it for yourself, not to mention you get to spend time with your best friends.

After about a week of being in Hawaii, they finally took you to the beach after begging and begging.

Bill was also pretty excited to go too, as you both have been talking about it ever since they invited you.

Once you got there you immediately took off your flip flops in the sand and walked closer to the water.

Feeling the cool water touch your feet made you shiver slightly, getting a bit cold.

You wore some shorts and a swim top since you were all going to go swimming but you didn’t expect the water to be a bit cold so you didnt bring a jacket. (Pretend its been rainy over there and not so hot.)

You jumped as you felt some arms wrap around you, “oh my god, you scared me!” You said as you turned around and saw tom, smiling.

He chuckled and pulled something out of his pocket, “wanna smoke this with me?” He said, with a grin on his face.

You looked around and saw the others talking, “Mm, sure.” You said grabbing his hand and walking around until you found a spot.

He lit it up and took a quick puff out of it before handing it to you, you grabbed it and put it up to your lips, taking a hit.

You blushed as his fingers would slightly graze yours while taking the joint from you as you both passed it back and fourth, until it was all finished.

“Hey, look at that flower!” You said, walking over to a small beautiful flower, that was all by its self.

Your eyes opened as your jaw dropped, seeing more than just one flower, there was multiple scattered all around.

Your eyes lit up as you saw all of the gorgeous hibiscus flowers and plants all around you.

You felt tom grab your chin, slowly moving your head to make eye contact with him as he moved some of your hair behind and placing a beautiful hibiscus flower behind your ear.

You face heated up quickly, as a bright shade of red spread across your face. A small smile appeared on toms face.

“A gorgeous flower for a gorgeous girl.” He said, winking at you, leaning in closer to your face.

Youve had a crush on tom for the longest time now and you were getting nervous, since you never expected him to go farther than just flirting with you.

You heard laughing from behind you, making you back away and turn around seeing everyone laughing at the both of you.

Now this time toms face turned red as they walked up to you both, “AWW TOM!” Bill said, teasing his twin, and laughing in his face.

“aww did we ruin your guy’s moment?” Gustav said, also laughing. “Poor tommy, he didnt get his kiss.” Georg said.

You blushed and turned away, embarrassed. “Be quiet, lets just go, i wanna swim.” Tom said, rolling his eyes.

“Arent you gonna kiss your gorgeous girl? Or are you gonna leave her waiting.” Bill said, raising his eyebrows up and down, smirking at him.

Tom was already far away, trying to ignore all the teasing that he was getting from his brother and friends.

“Cant hear you!” He said, walking away even faster, they all laughed at him, and you eventually let out a giggle or two.

The way his face turned into a shade of pink was adorable, although you wish they wouldnt have ruined the moment between you two but things happen.

you stared at him with a smile on your face, seeing how they tease him.

“Come on! Lets get in the water nowww!” Bill said walking over to the water.

You stayed behind and looked down at your feet, moving your toes in the warm sand.

arms wrapped around you, but this time you knew who it was, the scent was familiar. Making you smile to yourself.

“How come you keep coming up from behind me? Are you trying to scare me or something?” You said, laughing.

You heard him chuckle and turn you around to face him, “No, just really like hugging you from behind.” He said, smiling.

You laughed and smiled, as you held eye contact. He put his hand on your cheek placing his lips onto yours, you stood in shock, not knowing what to do, but just melted into the kiss.

He pulled away and had a big smile on his face, with a slight tint of pink of his cheeks.

“Race ya to the water!” He said running, “Hey! no fair! You got a head start!!” you said, yelling and pulling your shorts down quickly, running behind him into the water.

“Hey! Wait up!” You said going into the water, immediately splashing him. “Hey!” He said splashing you back.

firstly I just wanna say that it doesn't mean nothing, it means everything! The shine of a compliment literally never fades and I'm so fucking lucky to be in this position and to recieve such kindness, please be assured that it means a lot to me every single time!

it was overwhelming at first, I mean it gets more overwhelming every day but in a different way? I had such a massive rush of new people last summer that i didn't know what to do and didn't know how to cope with demands being made of me nor what to do with so much positive attention! Things are much easier now because while the insane and frankly amazing (in the fullest sense of the word, I am literally amazed) support remains, I think there's been a big decrease in people trying to police me and also negatives in general. I still get hate and stuff but it gets easier to deal with because you learn how how sort it into credible criticism versus bait versus personal pref framed as something you've done wrong, if that makes sense?

I really do love writing and getting better and seeing the difference, plus I'm fortunate to have endless possibilities at my fingertips. I have "such fresh ideas"??!! I could lit kiss you that's so nice and super nice to hear😭😭😭😭 I really love getting to do this and knowing there's someone on the other side who's going to be reading what I've made and hopefully enjoy it! Plus it's an escape for me that I treasure because I'm not always very well and I don't talk about it too much here, but the impact that your kindness and the kindness of my other readers has made on my life is far from small. I can be having such a terrible terrible day and then someone tells me they liked reading a drabble I posted and I feel better because I feel like I've been able to do something for someone else !!

how often they need to train or practice .. really i'd say every day ?? ik yuzuru hanyu practiced 10 hours a week during both high and low season as said on his isuresults page... but thats because hes yuzuru hanyu 😭😭 ive seen some w 19 hours a week ,, it really varies but i'd say they practice a few hours every day

honestly theres a lot to cover bc fs is a pretty complicated sport in a way .. i could make like. a google doc cheatsheet-ish thing for u that kind of covers majority of the stuff you'll need to know ?? i could send it to you or smth (but if u dont wanna come off anon i could just post it in a regular post and you can access it from there !!)

do you have some writing advice???

OHHH its hard to put advice into words uhhh. lemme give my best -a common thing some writers do is write big chunks of paragraphs made up of 9+ sentences. try to avoid that, but dont make each sentence a seperate line either. try to break up your paragraphs up kind of like camera shots. heres an example

breaking it up like this makes it alot easier to read, and makes it flow alot nicer -adding onto the 2nd point, dont be afraid to have a line just be one sentence. even something as small as an "oh." can have ALOT of emphasis on a fic. -word choice! word choice! dont just use "said" when it comes to speaking, it works but using it all the time makes it feel clunky. try things like "responded" "murmured" "cried" "snapped". metaphors can be your best friend -add stuff to show how a character is feeling- "he sucked in a breath" "she looked down, not wanting to make eye contact" "he felt his face heat up". you dont need to be super elaborate with it, just little details of body language can add alot. THIS POST is fantastic - try not to use "..." a ton but also they can be VERY helpful sometimes - the thing i like to do when describing a setting is, instead of describing it entirely in one huge paragraph, add little details across the work to describe it. little bits like how it feels, how well lit it is, etc can help ALOT

Closed space, like small rooms and corridors? Kaladin is absolutely cooked. Bro only knows how to wield larger weapons with proficiency (I remember him mentioning he could throw knives but fuck i cant verify that so) so hes just. Served up on a platter.

In more open spaces, it depends even more. If they were hosting this in Luthadel, with taller buildings and all that metal on the buildings and Vin knows the landscape? Even with infinite stormlight, i dont know if Kaladin could win. Probably not! Vin likes utilizing the shadows and her environment for battle, and a place where theres both (assuming this is night because gosh that opens another can of worms) Kal’s probably a bit cooked!

If they hosted this in Rosher? Lets say, at Urithiru’s Oathgate platform? Honestly i would say Kaladin could mid difficulty. Lets not forget this fucker can FLY like full on fly. Roshar is so Stone Vin wouldnt have much to pull on etc etc and the open space gives Kaladin the chance to use his favorite little (big) spear.

So, lets say, for sake of argument, they are in a room the size of a football field, with the ceiling extending up,,, 50 feet. Plenty of room, dimly lit, and all the walls are a pullable metal. That’s where they fight. Vin has daggers and a Koloss sword (because i feel bad she only has daggers, though i fear that Koloss sword will Not Last Long) and Kaladin has Syl.

This would be, as I’d imagine it, an even toss up of who wins. Remember they dont know eachother, the specific mechanics of their powers, their inner thoughts and personal demons etc etc. Vin coild very easily reach up to him with the room being metal, but she doesnt have nearly as much control over her version of flying as he does (its been a hot minute since ive read mistborn, im definitely getting shit wrong ok) and Kaladin’s also Fucking Excellent at flying, so if she tried air combat she’d get cooked i think. Kaladin would probably be willing to give up flying upwards If Vin suggested it because he would feel bad (he doesnt like putting normal soldiers against Fused, he wouldnt wanna fight someone who doesnt fly while flying) (assuming this isnt like a they have a vendetta and are out for blood scenario) but i dont think Vin Would ask because Why Would She.

And, not to be biased, but i still think this battle would go Kaladin’s way. Vin?? Doesn’t have much real battle training. Bringing this up again because its VERY important. The only people she’s fought are people that had the exact same powers as her (she understands them and knows their limitations etc) were completely untrained (Koloss) or didn’t even really have noteworthy powers. Every other time shes fought someone outside of those criteria (which is not alot i fear) she got Packed Up really quickly. And let me add this.

Vin did not live in a time of war!! That is important. There was war after the Lord Ruler died, but 90% of the people who were adults during mistborn were not trained to the extent a full on soldier would be! Those other Mistborn? Trained for espionage and in the realm of battle only see it when facing other Mistborn, which, if i recall, they dont?? Kill eachother (i dont remember) all those guards she killed? Trained as guards, and also almost always taken by surprise. Trying to keep this short and failing but all in all, none of the people Vin fought have been trained for battle the way Kaladin has- and Alethi are like The Guys of War. Hes trained in (if i recall, this is just all the stuff hes like,,,, shown proficiency in in reference to his time in the army) hand to hand combat, grappling/wrestling, one on one battles, formations, general battle strategy, etc. And Vin has minimal training from like various thugs and Kelsier, who focused less on her battle knowledge and more on her role as Valette and her allomancy .

She is a great warrior in her world, where no one was really raised to be warriors, and where she had the Strongest Powers Around (even in terms of Mistborns)

Kaladin is known as a great warrior in his world, where many people are trained to kill and many of the Windrunners have reached his same ideal, and yet he’s still distinctive from them.

Basically, it’s really hard to take characters, even from the same universe, out of their context and try to pit them together. It creates a million and one “what ifs” that make no clear totally correct. They have different powers, power mechanisms, skill sets, world building, etc. i think realistically they would never fight and Kaladin would immediately adopt her as a little sister (Vin is 5’?? Kaladin is like?? 6’10 in earth measurements?? Holy shit??) and would never hurt her, but thats Just Me.

TL;DR: it depends on the situation, how much metal vs stormlight they have. But like, 80% chance Kaladin wins.

Longer explanation:

Again, it does depend. Stormlight is an all encompassing fuel, where all of his powers are fueled by one thing. Vin has all those other metals she has to take for different things

Obviously in no stormlight no metals hand-to-hand, or even spear vs dagger, Kaladin wins. I dont think i need to explain this.

If they both had infinite stormlight and infinite metal, with Vin having access to ALL metals, including god metals, i still do think Kaladin would win. Despite Atrium existing, even though could see what he was about to do, he can heal any attack she makes— and i dont think she would have the knowledge to strike him in the spine specifically. I think at some point she would be trapped in a blow she cannot deflect and it would go downhill from there, seeing as she cannot heal wounds.

Limited stormlight, limited metals with lets say 2~ minutes worth of Atrium, Vin wins. He’d spend all his stormlight healing the wounds Vin gives him with her Pewter(?) strength and daggers that he wouldnt have the ability to kill her fast enough for her Atrium to wear out

I dont even remember what was said in it as all i can see is the body doubles, and that hand rubbing khushis cheek to clean the drawing just before they go? Oh I so wish they had the script supervisor just note which car they used to create some semblance of continuity! I totally understand why they’d use body doubles but then considering how prominent Sanaya and Barun’s hands are, why they’d go for hand close ups and just why they chose completely different cars… sigh

To be honest when you’re shooting rapidly and daily these important things can be really missed out on! I’m sure on the editing table they realized that damn the nail work just doesn’t match (they tried to crop it!) and the cars don’t match either but probably what’s most important is to get the episodes out in line at the proper time!

You can see below they super cropped in but couldn’t do a anything much cause it was evident how different the hands were!

However all said and done it is a BEAUTIFUL scene, one of the best ones post elopement and is absolutely worth the watch! It adds the emotional gravity we were so waiting for!

It’s a shame there wasn’t a common schedules for the actors that day and that very obvious discrepancies were visible (I can bet that even the directors and editors went “ah shit”) but perhaps it’s one of the few times I can watch over an obvious error.

Also at that point ipk was seriously breaking down in terms of budget - I think a lot of the production stuff was probably being funnelled to other shows? - because you could start to see the set wear down, makeup go off, cinematography slightly cheapen and all.

The scenes also are suddenly too brightly lit. You see the way they managed outdoor Nainital versus the garden and you’d understand there was just a higher quality of equipments employed previously.

(You can see the difference in colouring lighting costume and makeup - massive yet subtle differences)

It’s a good scene though - just hear it out - it ties up the conversation Arnav had with Khushi about parents becoming stars and the whole Anjali Arnav bangle conversation.

Sigh, if they’d only top that scene with Arnav actually giving her his mum’s bangles it would’ve totally closed the loop! But hey very few shows give things in retrospect at this point (where the writers were changed or new writers stepped in).

Small things though could’ve made the scene easier:

- give Sanaya a glitter mehendi or a real mehendi with sketch pen to the body double

- give the body double short red nails instead

- have Arnav wipe Khushi’s face with a handkerchief so in a closeup we have the thumb wrapped in a hanky

- choose the same car for the actors to blend the scene

- have the master shot instead of close ups where they touch each other’s face so we can see the full moment between the actors (the pic below is a master - which is usually a wider shot with both the leads in)

- shoot the hands from the other side so we don’t see the nails but just the hands together

But also there were moments where they got the lighting and body double position really right where you can easily believe it’s arshi! And that is tough considering you need to command eye line, where they’re looking, outdoor lighting and all to look cohesive!

So, I hope you give this scene a chance regardless! Cause tv is tough to perfect, especially under pressure, and sometimes when the writing is brilliant you can forgive other things 😊 I’d always take good writing above two actors in the same frame doing shitty scenes (for example the swami track eww)

On a funny note, the hut scene did give us the worst of both worlds 😂

So, idk if any of yall remember when my account had a very soft purple theme to it. I made this blog when I was 17, following a pretty bad breakup in February because I found that writing helped me a lot. My blog changed as soon as I turned 18 because the soft theme wasnt really the right vibe and I wanted to try my hand at writing more smut (obviously I like writing angst and more fluffy stuff now and shitposr constantly). I write a lot of rpf (rock n roll fan here). And a lot of that rpf is smut. Where do I publish it? Rockfic, which requires an account to read pretty much everything And AO3, which has VERY clear tags and warnings, plus the bandoms I write for are pretty self contained and small. I don't really post taboo/explicit stuff on tumblr anymore. I take tagging and warning very seriously; I take my role as fan and writer/creator in fandom very seriously. One of the biggest things I always stress is that it! Is! Fiction! I'm taking this concept of a person, this rockstar persona and a fewvknown facts cherrypicked from interviews, and I am making an entirely new character to play around with. I feel like rpf is taken as an outstanding statement of depravity and irresponsibility instead of what it actually is: fanfiction. If you think that Dave Grohl and Iggy Pop actually got it on wearing sparkly evening gowns and drinking orange juice, that is YOUR problem (never wrote that but I swear to fuck I read a fic description ahout it at some point). It is a fantasy using the image of a person and a few picked characteristics that I have chosen to share in a safe, enclosed space.

Speaking of, like @ao3commentoftheday said, the rules of fandom really need to he revisited and spread around again. My main two are "don't like, don't read" and "don't do anything that could lead the actual person (in rpf works) back to the fiction". I know there are others, but I'm tired and starting to release that there isn't much meat to my actual comment so I'll log off and say goodnight to every single lovely wroter of rpf

in defense of RPF

If you’ve watched TV on any network or heard of any Oscar-nominated movies ever in your life, then you’ve seen RPF. It’s just not called RPF. It’s often called a “biopic” or “historical fiction” or “based on real life events.”

The Crown? RPF.

Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocket Man? RPF.

The Social Network? RPF.

A fairly large number of Doctor Who episodes? RPF.

Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter? RPF.

Just look at the actors who have won Oscars. In the last two decades, 22 out of 40 leads won for playing biographical roles (55%). And this isn’t a recent trend, either. We’ve been writing books and movies and TV shows about real people for as long as humans have been able to write. 

So why do people hate RPF so much in fanfiction form? I think an argument can be made that it’s not the RPF that’s the problem. It’s the sex. Somehow, writing a story about a real person and including a sex scene in it is worse than just writing a story about them that doesn’t include sex. 

So is the problem RPF? Mainstream awards shows would have me believe that it’s not. Entire genres of literature and film make me think that writing fictional stories about real people isn’t an issue at all. It’s writing stories about those real people having sex with other people that causes the problem. Which means that the problem isn’t RPF at all, it’s sex. 

The F in RPF stands for Fiction. People who post it on AO3 are posting it on a website that is specifically dedicated to fiction. Anyone reading a story on AO3 and thinking that it’s an accurate portrayal of reality probably doesn’t even know what AO3 is. Which makes me wonder how they found the story to begin with. 

Pick your genre of fanfiction and someone out there has a problem with it, and a lot of the time that problem comes down to the wrong people having the wrong kind of sex.  Or the right people having sex, but the wrong people are writing it. 

RPF exists in the world. It’s written about the famous and the nameless. It’s written about the dead and the living. It’s written about adults and about children. 

If you don’t enjoy RPF, don’t read it. But leave the people who like it alone. A fantasy is still just a fantasy, even if you write it down.

im thinking of attempting to rewrite tes 4: oblivion and am trying to get input from the oblivion fans I know. If you were to rewrite tes 4, is there any important stuff you'd want to add? More importantly, is there any stuff you'd specifically not want removed?

ive answred this sort of question a couple times [here] [here] but just in terms of adding and removing

add: 

general mundane politics because every major figure in oblivion is politically entrenched and thats like never relevant. SHOW how the empire is being stretched thin, political turmoil following the emperors death, corruption, how martins existence is received by the elder council and etc

specifically on that martin note i think it would be good to have stuff that happens be a direct result of bureaucratic scuffling and etc. like ingame with what youre presented, martin probably could have got to the dragonfires and lit them before dagon got there had he not had to bother with being formally recognized by the council. 

motivation and complexity to the mythic dawn that i talked about in those other posts

focus on alessia and the covenant rather than tiber septim, at least as things ACTUALLY important to the plot. but dont like Get Rid of the obsession with tiber septim that the plot has, bc i think martin defining himself outside of the septim label and against his (pseudo) bloodline is a naturalistic theme for the story

general characterization and complex interactions with all the recurring cast would be nice. at least martin baurus and jauffre are significant, and the latter two could have much bigger roles to play and more complex interactions with the story and themes

add info on martin’s mother, whatever you choose that to be. have him actually wonder about the circumstances of his birth and what that means and who had to be silenced for him to end up how he did. 

references to like, whats being done about the oblivion crisis bc it literally cannot just be dumbasses on a mountain fucking around with an evil book. like are there imperial mages studying the breach of the barriers? are there attempted replacements for the dragonfires? (people probably know by now that vvardenfells living gods are gone but) is anyone pleading to them for help? or looking to historical records of  almalexia and sotha sils previous defeat of dagon for answers? or to the battlespire invasion by dagon?? etc

the basic structure to the siege on kvatch. i like it.
