falls to the ground. my favorite song is one that i looked at back in early march and went oh, this works well for ragatha... and im listening to it again and i DO still think it fits ragatha a lot. but it ALSO fits gangle. but i dont wanna put the same song on two character playlists from the same series, so im just gonna keep it on ragathas. either way it mainly fits manager gangle specifically but not the entirety of her. i think it fits ragatha more generally

It's very funny being like... a stereotypically (as in, straight masc) masculine queer person. Like it's frustrating because I would love to have cute moments where I share tips with a trans woman or maybe help somebody in that kind of way, but like... why should she or anybody else listen to me when I only got my third pair of jeans recently? 😭

did my first ever used car browsing online and there's a car that's like really good on basically every aspect but the color is fucking NASTY. but ive been evolving a bit around it. and so now im like thinking "okay the bit's funny now but would it be funny in like seven years" kinda stuff

#like imagining my friends laughing (with me) at my car shouldn't factor into the buying process but it's sinking in anyway #we live in an area with really high auto crime rates right #so it being ugly and super visible would actually help with total theft at least. not sure about breaking my windows though #like i would be less likely to get hit at night bc of visibility but it's so nasty and indiscreet #what if i go on a date and they see the nightmare car and are like yk what nevermind #i'm gonna have to make eye contact with my coworkers after parking that there every day #and im gonna try to use it for as long as possible bc that's the goal anyway and also bc i know that shit is NOT reselling for ANYTHING #but its stats are so good i'd feel bad calling it a beater car...#anyway the most interesting choices are that and a really cute car with similarly good stats but #it's low vis and more expensive (but it's newer and diesel etc so like.. idk?)#it's a beetle... i'd love to cause violence via punchbug!!! also a conversation piece and not one that i have to like #put an eyes.train warning for!! yk!!! black beetle was made for me but at what cost #there's also other cars that are normal but those two are so memorable and almost feel like opposites #even though their stats actually overlap a good amount (like their mpg is the same i think)#if i have this car for the next 8+ years (the goal. the dream) then i better like it right #i want it to be durable and safe and cute and cost efficient #technically they're both all those things except the ugly car is ugly. but it IS funny in a way the beetle isnt!!#which is kind of like being cute #im so relieved to have a couple of car guys in my family bc idk shit about cars tbh #and i really thought i wouldn't care about what my car looked like but unfortunately i kind of do is what im realizing #and also i thought i didn't really have a dream car but i kind of do.. and it's a black beetle...#they're so cute to me... and it's small so parallel parking will be easier... and it's not like i'd drive many people around....#but its storage is bad and it's a convertible and idc about that but im probably paying more bc of it since other ppl care #ugh idk...#anyway #i mean. it would be nice to like my car... esp if i plan on using it for so long.... and a car that i won't get sick of....#but the beetle might not work well for transporting junk if i get into sculpture like i keep threatening to #and i feel like it might do badly in a wreck bc it's so tiny #ah idk...#update gonna have to say no to the beetle apparently that year's extra unreliable and they're already not the best cars

#holy terrors #aroaessidhe 2025 reads #well! what a trilogy!#despite being a long book it’s very fast paced and funny and ridiculous but also devastating.#a wild ride with lots of intertwined plots and characters #I definitely recommend reading The Fallow Year before this; too. adds a lot of context #the use of the what if stories of if vanja had made different choices combined with #what the main antagonist/magic situation ends up being….mwah #explores such things as who takes the pet in the divorce proceedings except you got the pet 2yrs post divorce #so glad to have range & gisele back! I could have used more of them though.#(also - the way I was like ‘haha what if’ about a certain thing and then it actually happened! good on them. lets go lesbians)#I will admit; thinking about the series as a whole - the romance and relationship drama did take over a little too much for me.#Like it is very intertwined with Vanja’s personal journey which I am a fan of; but idk?#I do kinda understand people who prefer LT as a standalone #But like regardless it is really entertaining to read; full of twists and humor and drama.#I don’t feel annoyed about how much romance there is while reading it; just a little if I think about it after the fact #I have seen some people be like ‘wahh she’s sleeping with other people after hardly knowing her that’s not very demisexual’#but imo (esp in TFY) there’s a pretty clear distinction there between attraction vs action?#like she can choose to do that even if she doesn’t have that same level of developed attraction #i do get feeling thrown off by how much horniness there is in book w & 3 tho lmao #certainly a more mature attitude towards sex than some other YA books anyway.#(mature as in treating sex like it's a normal thing not like ~mature content~ as a euphemism)

#yellowart #subnautica #i feel like the timelapse is kinda long but also this did take a long time to make #anyways. let me yap about the meanings of all the panels <3 #'i am creation' -> the ocean being the source of life and where shit evolved from also a good way to sort of 'set the scene' for subnautica #'both haunted' -> GHOST leviathan; in the BONE fields #'and holy' -> this one was a bit trickier. debated about using the emperor but i knew i wanted to use her elsewhere #also debated hoverfish because its cute and well liked so i thought that would be funny for 'and holy'#also something something jesus walking on water also makes it fitting. in the end though i decided on a peeper with the enzyme trail #and i *tried* to make it loop over its head like a halo but idk how well that imagery came through. still mentioned it in the alt text tho.#'made in glory' -> was REALLY torn about this one. on the one hand i wanted to have like a picture of the code because something something #divine machine and it being made out of code making it inherently holy or something; but i wasnt sure if that would be too #'immersion breaking' since most of the stuff in this is like in game stuff i wasnt sure if acknowledging that it was a game would be #too much. my other idea was to draw a couple of creature eggs like a stalker egg and a spadefish egg or something; but in the end i just #went with the one that i personally thought was cooler so if you think it does feel out of place uhhhh sorry i guess lmao.#also yes that is code from the game. idk shit about programming i just think code shit is cool so i poked though a modding tutorial til i #found what it is they use to look at that shit and started poking around. its pretty cool tbh. anyways the specific part i chose for the #drawing was something under the peepers; i think its the bit that tells the enzyme peepers to do the enzyme stuff like the trail obviously #but also some other stuff. not 100% sure though like i said idk shit about this sort of thing but everything in there seems pretty well #labeled its kinda impressive. and very helpful for navigating even if you dont know shit lol.#anyways. 'even the depths of the night cannot blind me' -> blood kelp trench is i think one of the darkest biomes in the game #possibly THE darkest so i thought it would be fitting. probably my least favorite panel though i dont think i did a very good job #representing the area or representing the bloodvines :/#'when you guide me' -> sea emperor but more specifically her messages to the player telling you to 'come here'#'creature only' -> not sure how well i can articulate this but basically the idea of humans beig animals with animal needs to eat and drink #and the idea of being a part of the ecosystem. modern life tends to make us forget that sort of thing but id imagine for ryley being on the #planet would violently remind him of this with things trying to eat him while he has to try to eat things as well. being part of the food #web. 'creature only' because he is only a creature not non-essential systems maintenance chief; but a creature living in an environment and #trying to survive. or something like that. does that make any fucking sense to anyone besides me? whatever.#anyways yapping over 👍

#smth art #halftone #furry #queer artist #i made this for a Spotify playlist. very proud of how it turned out #long story short i developed a crush on a coworker very shortly after meeting him bc hes very cool and funny and cute #and we got along very well instantly. however nothing ever came of it bc hes the most emotionally unavailable person ive met in my life #so i just kinda Suffered™ for like 2½ years cycling through the stages of grief until acceptance finally stuck #now we're just chill. but i Did make a carefully curated playlist about it all and regardless of current feelings im very proud of it #its super specific and personal but also relatable and has a story arc to it (meeting->falling->pining->resentment->depression->acceptance)#anyway. i was thinking like hmmm i havent been doing digital art in a while and need to get back to that. whats a good lil warmup #to get me back in the vibe of it? and the idea popped into my head to do a cover for the gay and stupid playlist.#maybe ill link the playlist later! who knows! its very good after all #though theres a few specific songs on there that are Personal to the guy i made it about #like i dont think 'shelter' by porter robinson is especially relevant to an unrequited love playlist but. its there for My reasons.#theres also a nice flat no halftone or grunge texture version of this that ill throw in if i link the playlist later cuz why not #but im very happy with how this version turned out!!!#i did less layers this time and it was way easier #usually when i do like. a bunch of ink colors layered. i do 1 color per layer #but if im using more than 4 or 5 colors that gets SO unwieldy and annoying #this time i used 2-3 colors per layer and just made sure they wouldnt need to stack #it worked out rly well i think! and was WAY easier to work with after the colors were down

on the one hand, syndicate’s resolution of jacob & evie’s overarching fight feels sort of rushed and unearned, but on the other hand, if i was in an argument with my sister and then some fucking guy tried to kill her in front of me, yeah, that might not solve all the reasons behind the argument but it would make me go ‘oh! right! i never want to live in a world without you!’ and stop us from fighting. so that bit’s actually quite realistic.

#assassin’s creed #the pieces for resolving the fight are all there it’s just that they’re sort of clumsily set up last minute and then poorly put together #and also henry is like. fully unconscious being ignored on the ground behind them. which sort of undercuts the emotional weight of the scene #but we all know what i think about that already <3 evie shoulda killed starrick to death with jacob and used his lifeforce to heal henry #via the shroud <3 that’s romance babyyyyy <3 but that didn’t happen and instead it’s just really bad but reslly funny that jacob and evie #resolve their issues while their friend and colleague’s lifesigns are fully uncomfirmed behind them #funniest part of it is that it is Absolutely in character for them to do that. idiot twins with zero idea of what’s happening outside of #their little bubble 90% of the time because they’re too busy bickering. poor henry.#i mean he knows that about them he’s been dealing with it for a year but i feel like he would probably prefer if at least one of them had #made sure he was alive before they made up. akdhkfjfs.#underrated moment of all time in that scene though *is* that when they check on him his first words aren’t like. ‘holy shit i almost just #died’ or anything but instead. asking if he fucked everything up by being there.#that is so sad to me. given everything we know about his whole deal and why he’s in london in the first place and just. everything.#that his first thought isn’t ‘wow! can’t believe i survived that!’ it’s ‘i must have messed up somehow and i shouldn’t have tried to help’#that’s so fucking sad!!!!! someone tell him he’s a good boy right now!!!!!!!!!!#me. i’ll do it. i’ll write a fic for it. watch me.
