what are your thoughts on metal gear so far?

doc said we're skipping ground zeroes because its evil and not worth it and im taking his word for it and believing him fully, but otherwise the only two we've watched so far are...one and two...and we've watched like a chunk of 4 because we're going in technically backwards order.

its an interesting series to say the least, i like it :) i can also recognize that its very Weird with some stuff, but that tends to happen with older game series unfortunately.

a note about dapper - my boy is a trooper, and he holds it all in, but he's really affected by what happened to him. his separation anxiety is real and has always kind of existed, but he's also been visibly deteriorating emotionally. the reason why it's so hard to see is because he's got this darker, more biting humour and he handles a lot of things with jokes or snarky comments, and it's easy to overlook that he's really going through it.

now, this is not related to literally anything else, just talk about the whole "abandonment" "joke" made me want to talk about how yeah, separation anxiety's a bitch especially after you got kidnapped a few days ago and held by a dangerous man in a fiery cage

Decided on a whim to finally give Koisenu Futari a try and barely a minute into the first episode, it got me hook line and sinker. Sakuko's face for the "There's no one who can't fall in love, right?" moment is something I feel deep in my bones.

I think they are interesting! But I admit, any interest I have for them is just an off-shoot of my love for them in tfp and their dynamic there. I don't know if I have any g1 specific fics in mind for them, mostly just tfp/continuity soup ideas....

I think a funny g1 idea for them would be them already together and having to break the news to Rumble/Frenzy and Skywarp. The comedic potential there....is enough for me to put that in my "maybe one day" list.
