Do you think this is because fanfic (and other fan content) is just taken for granted these days? Like, everything that came before ao3 had it's own problems. Either the filtering system was shit or there were issues with censorship, etc. Then 2008 rolled around and brought us ao3. And over the years it's sort of become a given that a massive amount of free fanfiction can just be easily navigated and is accessible for anyone.

Now I started reading fic around 2013 and I didn't start on ao3 either. I started on fanfiction.net. I had to learn a bunch of vocabulary, so I could properly navigate my way around before I moved to ao3. I assume that most of the first generation of ao3 writers were still active then, a lot of them are still active now. They taught me and many others the ropes and basic fandom etiquette. But it's been another 10 years by now. Fanfiction in general has become much more popular as a hobby and because everything is so easily accessible and just there, you don't have to bother learning the rules and history and terminology anymore.

Just like every other artform it's become a quantity over quality thing. You don't have to look for hours and hours anymore, you don't have to share your finds with your friends, you don't have to motivate the authors by leaving comments, you don't have to "cherish" good fanfiction. It doesn't matter what you do or don't do, there's always more fanfiction out there anyway.

I think that's why small and/or old fandoms are so nice. Everybody knows it's a tight-knit community and that we need each other. That or enough of the old guard are still around to lead by example. In those circles the "ship and let ship", "don't like don't read", "ykinmkatok" and similar rules still apply whereas in huge, new fandoms you'll always have people who will trash talk other fans for their preferences, the art they share, the fic they read.

Today I saw certain (I hope younger) fandom members doing a thing on twitter where they called out fandom-famous fics, saying how bad they are.

And, no. We don't do that. We aren't rude to each other like that. If we don't like a fic we move on and find one we do like. We do not go slagging it off on twitter to make ourselves look cool.

Authors, artists, video editors, gif makers: all of these people give huge amounts of their time to provide you with content for free. They don't owe anyone anything, and being cruel about what anyone makes is below us as a fandom.

uhh this is for anyone who has similar experiences to me, don't know how common it is but OH WELL at least this is something ;w;

For me it's specifically short term, online, sexual ones. So tips are based around that

1: ghost them whenever you can!!!! if you already messed up and started talking to them, ghosting is great. And at that point, your own wellbeing comes first. If it's REALLY someone you don't want to hurt, ghost them for a certain period of time and only explain the situation after your brain has managed to calm down. (If it's someone who has a tendency of manipulating others that's a bad idea though)

-to make ghosting easier, you can try put off answering their messages as long as you can. Instead of answering their message straight away, try waiting 5 minutes. This makes ghosting easier later on.

2: If you get ✨the urges✨, try to distract yourself! Put on your favourite show, read a book, play that really distracting game, scroll on tumblr- whatever! (this doesn't work as well when I'm doing it purposefully to be self-destructive but it SOMETIMES works XD)

3: Also if you have ✨the urges✨, if you're able to please tell someone! I understand it can be near impossible to say what you're going through, but you can just say something vague like "my brain really wants to do something stupid". If you have friends that you feel comfortable telling that to, if you're on any discord servers with a venting channel (my personal favourite), there's venting subreddits, you can make a tumblr post, whatever! (and my DMs are always open for anyone who wants to!). There have been times people managed to ground me enough to at least put off trying to find one of these relationships

4: Find an alternative! Stuff like reading fiction (ao3 tags my beloved), roleplaying (headmates can be amazing for that), writing fiction can all be helpful! Tbf i think that only ever helped me when i had mild, background ✨urges✨, but it's often recommended and at least it's something

5: umm not really a tip but this weirdly helped me once? I was hyperfixating heavily on this one animatic that I had on loop for a couple days, (and ship in general), and because I didn't want to associate the ship with something negative, I made a vow to not listen to the animatic while texting the dude. That decreased my texting amount by a lot, (which already is a bonus), and made him easier to block later. So this is very specific but maybe someone will get inspired XD

the problem is when I'm trying to emotionally harm myself and proceed to throw all of these in the trash, but oh well "XD. That's where the ghosting can come in handy later on B3

So, in my headcanon, Serpine already knows Skug is Vile. He's known for like. A century. It's common knowledge in Mevolent's inner circle.

Because, like. In Nef's dimension, Vile's with Mevolent - he was the shiny new toy Mev dropped Nef for. And Vile's been with Mevolent for a really long time. Eventually, he became confident enough in that relationship to not always wear head-to-toe armor. So like. Nef, alt!Vengeous, the alt!Diablerie...they all know. They've seen him. They've heard him talk without the helmet warping his voice. He's. Very clearly the same person.

But he hasn't said anything - not even to Skug. That's his insurance policy.

See, Nefarian Serpine is a schemer. That's his whole thing. He plans things way in advance and has contingency plans for his contingency plans. And he didn't like the whole concept of the assassination mission, because it puts him in a dangerous situation with multiple threats to his life and too many unpredictable variables to plan for everything. But the one thing he thought he could count on was that someone - most likely Skug, but also possibly Saracen or Vex, would try to kill him out there - and he can't take any of them in a fair fight. He knows Skug's own side would have executed him for war crimes if his being Vile was common knowledge. So that's his safety net, in a precarious situation - "If you come at me I'm going to scream that you were Lord Vile and your friends will start asking questions."

But. Then he didn't need it. Skug didn't try to kill him, and stopped a few other people trying it, too. And the assassination attempt he was expecting after returning to Roarhaven came to nothing. So he held onto that secret.

Eventually it becomes almost an affectionate thing. He likes that he knows one of Skug's deepest darkest secrets. He likes that he knows something about Skug that almost nobody else is aware of - it plays into his obsessive tendencies: I know him better than you ever will.

As for realising their feelings...ehh. Neither of them is mentally healthy in the first place - Skug has been abused in almost every relationship he's ever had, and Serpine thinks all-consuming obsession and possessiveness = love. They don't exactly have a great understanding of what their feelings even are once they move past "passionate hatred".

Alt!Nef is a lot more sane than his og!verse counterpart. He's more likeable and less sadistic. He's clearly capable of empathy, and he makes multiple attempts to reach out to the others and form connections during the Leibniz mission. But Skulpine is always going to be some level of dysfunctional, because of their traumatic shared history.

They definitely both get to the point where they will admit, if asked, that they're not exactly enemies anymore. But while Nef - who's got relatively little Skug-related trauma - would eventually admit that he's fond of Skug, Skug - who has a huge amount of Nef-related trauma - would probably only get as far as, "I tolerate him."

They'd be that couple where everyone knows they're a thing before they do. They could be years into being casual-but-essentially-monogamous and Skug would still be claiming that he's only taking Nef to [obvious date night activity] because most of his friends are dead and "no one else he spends time with has any appreciation for the finer things in life."

Yes, they meet up sometimes for angry hate sex. Yes, he's technically paying Nefarian's rent. No, that doesn't mean he enjoys his company. The man is insufferable. Skug is still salty China foisted responsibility for Serpine on him.

Deconstructing baseless Harry Potter arguments #1: Harmony Edition

There’s a very helpful account on instagram (this instagram page merely gathers toxic harmony shippers, they don’t ship Harmione or hate all Harmione shippers, please don’t send them hate, show them love and support) where you can essentially find stupid fucking bashers who make baseless arguments. I’m all for Harmione shippers, as long as they don’t denounce Romione, bash Ron and just peacefully co-exist. To my pleasure, such people are out there: they just dont seem to be seen as often as the ones that are not nice. Maybe all I see is the mean people and the majority is nice, but in this post, I am attacking those who make baseless claims and bash Ron/Romione/Hinny/Ginny. I don’t myself hate all Harmione shippers. On top of that, as a Romione/Ron fan, i do acknowledge Ron’s character flaws along with Hermione’s and I hold them on the same pedestal.

If someone considers Ron as the best member of the trio, it is their own opinion and not a fact. I do that. If you consider Harry and Hermione as the best member of the trio or in the whole wizarding world, most people don’t give a flying fuck and probably won’t argue with you because it is simply an opinion. That will only happen when you pass that off as a fact.

Statistically speaking, most (not FUCKING all) Harmione moments are in the movies. The weird dance scene especially. The passionate kiss that happens in Ron’s vision, shit like that. Ron is pushed to the sidelines in the last set of movies while Harry and Hermione show each other endless love and support. “I’ll go with you”. The books on the other hand, describe Harry and Hermione as siblings multiple times, with very little Harmione references.

However you will fixate on people who are most likely not EVEN bashing or hating but pointing out a few character flaws in Hermione in a fair and unbiased way. I would know, I'm a huge fan of Hermione as an individual character (in the books). The only criticism I've seen of Hermione to this day has not been bashing. In the comment section of my own fics (shameless plug) I've seen some Hermione bashing. On an ao3 comment section. And I've seen so damn fucking many people bashing Ron, Ginny, the Weasleys etc. and garner tens and thousands of upvotes on quora.

What does Ron even need excusing for? The running away incident and Krum. What does Hermione need excusing for? Canaries, contributing to Ron's insecurities by making him jealous through Cormac and Krum even though she didn't even like them (especially not Cormac, she fucking hated him). Ron wore a locket that literally highlighted his fatal flaw (insecurity) in an echo chamber. Harry kept getting annoyed when Ron wanted to check in on his family. Harry asked Ron to leave; Ron didn't say that shit in the books about Harry's parents being dead: that was plain shock value.

And sorry for repeating myself but I have seen quite a few Harmione shippers bash Ron and Ginny and excuse every single thing Harry and Hermione have done.

I made a pro Ron/Romione post on reddit and got a considerable amount of people who bashed Ron and Romione in the comments.

The amount of Hermione haters is very few compared to Ron bashers. Nobody hates Hermione for being independent, determined, etc. We dislike perfect movie Hermione who’s an unrealistic image of females and seems like some sort of agenda than a real woman. Most Romione shippers/Ron fans and book fans in general (except for you apparently) dislike movie Hermione and still are fans of realistic book Hermione. Most, not all. In general, we do not claim anyone who does the exact same thing to Harry and Hermione that these sorts of Harmione shippers do to Ron, Romione, Hinny and Ginny. I say this on the behalf of all Romione shippers and Ron fans.

Ron's not a bitchy lay-about drama causing loser. That's Steve Kloves's movie Ron. In the books Ron is realistic and simplistic and apologizes whenever he causes problems. He acts up substantially twice in a span of 7 years where he is also a hormone-fuelled teenager.

This is so contradictory and juxtaposed to the point of near delusion. First you talk about how Romione shippers bash Hermione and then you bash Ron as a Harmione shipper. Mate, fighting fire with fire will get you called a hypocrite. Fix yourself.

And yes how dare he add such a (fake) chemistry fuelled moment between Harry and Hermione while defeating the entire purpose and groundwork for Romione, the sadness caused by Ron leaving and so many more things? Steve Kloves's moments ruined many things while just paying fan service to the Harmione fans he'd birthed through years in the course of 6 movies where he showed Ron as a, how you so eloquently describe it, lay - about drama causing bitchy loser, Harry as one dimensional and Hermione as a zero - dimensional Mary Sue who might as well be the main titular character. Constant arguing is not what they do. They bicker, they apologize, and sometimes they just do it for the heck of it. They are argumentative teenager. Opposites attract doesn't work in the sense of fire and ice, it works in the case of Brownie and ice-cream. Ron is passionate, laid back and insecure. Hermione's passionate, a workaholic and not as insecure. Ron can help her get calm and composed and get her to give herself a break. Hermione can motivate Ron and re - enforce his confidence.

My SPOILER thoughts on Red Notice

I was going to make a mini-review, but honestly i just want to talk about a specific part of the movie.

(warning- spoilers.)

1. THE TWIST

I loved the film, but the twist near the end really ruined it for me. It undermined a lot of what happened prior to that moment while also not making much sense and retrospectibly ruining the emotion behind a lot of scenes. The whole movie built up a relationship between the main characters, and while sometimes it was a bit rocky, there was clearly an arc of them growing past what happened to them and their parental trauma. The scene in the prision where Nolan Booth talked about what happened to his father was surprisingly heartfelt and moving for a genre that i tend to label as "soulless flashy action film". The movie seemed to be on a course where Nolan and John opened up to each other as the movie progressed and then became best friends (or more- i mean, the amount of gay jokes they make are nearing queerbaiting levels.)

But the twist ruined it all. It ruined their friendship, it ruined the struggle that John seemed to be having between wanting to clear his name and wanting to help out his friend. And sure, it did explain parts of the film, but it completly threw his character arc to the trash.

2. ALTERNATIVE ENDINGS

In my opinion, they shouldn't have done the twist. They should've let these characters team up for real, and then have them ride a boat into the sunset, and start a life of crime together- hell, maybe even include The Bishop in their fun crime gang.

But, if they really had to do the twist... they should've given it a good payoff in the climax. Nolan Bush has just been betrayed by his ONLY FRIEND, some he opened up with about his father and his loneliness. And he was betrayed... but found again by the Interpol. IMAGINE THE DRAMA!. IMAGINE THE POETRY! Imagine Nolan, now working alongside his enemies, working to take down his former friend. Imagine Nolan facing John, looking at him in his eyes and saying I truested you! I thought you were my friend!, and John replying I told you... We're not friends. I can't believe they didn't do this! I can't believe we got stuck with the most anticlimatic ending possible while you had a whole pot of potential right there!

...At least they should've made the eggs like, magical. The director clearly watched Indiana Jones, why not rip a page out of that book and have the mcguffin be sudenly supernatural at the very end? At least give us a skybeam.

3. GAY SUBTEXT

It's 2021. We had Catradora, Lumity, Bubbline. We have tv shows and movies that feature or focus gay characters. But this genre of movie is completly LACKING in them (aside from the mentor guy in Kingsman tho, he's gay and also the best character).

And don't tell me this movie doesn't WANT to be gay. When Nolan asked John if he was a top or a bottom, was that improvised- or on the script? The multiple times Nolan calls John his wife or says they're married??? The scene where Nolan thought John had drowned?????

The movie knows people are going to ship these characters- but it never. delivers. on it. It has all the potential of a gay love story that exists in a romantiziced way in an action setting, it has all the pieces to have them come out to each other, open their hearts and find in the other a person they can trust and live alongside, a true partner in crime when their lives are so lonely.

But the movie is too scared to take the plunge. And this was probably the producers decision, who thought it would give them a bit less money if they made it gay. And not only does this make them cowards, not only does it show an unwillingness to do their part to change the media landscape, but it also undercuts the movie's own potential to become great, and perhaps garner that much more atention.

And if you think Eternals proves that having gay characters will ruin a movie's ratings, i strongly disagree. I didn't see a single ad for that movie. That movie released exclusivly theatres in a PANDEMIC, while Red Notice released on netflix. Having gay characters - and gay characters of color at that- will probably hurt a movie's ratings, but it would also give it the support of moviegoers who want to see gay poc on screen. Personally I probably wouldn't have watched Shera or The Owl House if they didn't have gay stuff on them - and not necessarily because i wouldn't have liked the shows, but because i wouldn't have heard of them if the fandom didn't go crazy over their gay content. In fact, i gave those shows a chance BECAUSE of the gay stuff. And now i love them.

TL;DR: Good movie. It would've been better if it was gay, both because it would appeal to an untapped market, but because it would fit better with the character's arcs.

I feel bad for all the nice J*nsa shippers who like their ship for whatever reasons (tropes, pretty art, aesthetic appeal, whatever) and know it's not canon but get associated with the misogynistic Dany hating crowd who act like Jon being attracted to Ygritte is J*nsa foreshadowing because red hair (I guess Jon should fuck Edmure Tully too? Omg give me Dark!Jon getting revenge on Catelyn by seducing her brother!) Tell me something. I'm new to the fandom but was J*nsa popular before the show? And I've heard something about the OG J*nsa shippers being alienated by the new shippers who insisted it had to be canon and acted like the series is called, "A song of J*nsa #danysux." I don't find that hard to believe because I know people who are now ashamed of calling themselves J*nsa shippers. Like, at this point, it's not only rival shippers who hate it. Even Gendrya/Braime/Jon stans/etc have started disliking that ship. You know your fandom is a problem when people who have nothing to do with Jnsa have a problem with it.

when I got into fandom also given what numbers were on ao3 one ship was popular and it was sansan. no like sansan was lit. the only asoiaf ship on ao3 with more than 200 fics. jb had twenty when i checked first. jc had like around 100-ish because of the show but sansan dwarfed anything. I posted the first jon/ygritte fic on the ao3 tag and the fourth throbb fic and like the others were all reposts from lj kinkmemes. nothing was popular before the show except for sansan when it comes to huge numbers bc grrm doesn't like fic and it was all hush hush until the show made it impossible to control and that ship was the one with a huge enough fanbase it actually had numbers, so like... j*nsa wasn't popular in the way nothing else was popular until it got screentime on the show

now, that stated, j*nsa had a... fair amount of fic for a rareship which was mostly book-based and from og shippers that were there from before the show and liked it for what it was but literally none of them thought it was gonna be canon, like it wasn't huge or anything but it had a small but dedicated fanbase who did their own thing and thought it was fun/liked the idea but that was it

that fandom had their own niche of hcs that they cultivated and shit except that like... at the end of S5/beginning of S6 there was a surge in shipping for... well obvious reasons bc it was obv sansa was getting to the wall and that would have been all nice and good but a) it was the time puritanical shipping was starting to take root and the 'shipping sansa with sandor or tyrion is hella problematic' rhetoric had started to circle coming from sans*ery shippers mostly but I'mma not open that fucking can of worms here, b) while the ending of S5 had more of a theon/sansa spike, the j*nsa stuff started getting big

now here we have to mention my villain origin story ie: j*nsa fandom had this one stan whose name I won't make because honestly it's been years and if she's still around I don't want her to remember I exist who was a bnf, wrote for... the website that created the whole larry/carol thing etc who was really fixed on this thing that j*nsa was actually canon and started writing extremely popular meta about it. now you're gonna ask how do you know, I know because this person once wrote a meta named 'why robb stark is a dick' and I told her that it was really fucking bad meta and she took it so badly she kept on trash talking me on her blog/her podcast (I was apparently the insane robb stark fangirl l m a o good lord) and like that was when some sane ppl who argued with her informed me in pvt that she was basically harping on the CANON thing when they'd have been okay with like... it being crackshipping and that she was basically cultivating a hoarde of followers who were harping on them/the ogs and basically ostracizing them;

I would like to add that this person - before her tumblr got 'accidentally deleted' and remade it therefore deleted most receipts for, er, her so-called meta which included stuff like ned and cat raised sansa as a sexual object and only wanted to sell her like cattle - had at some point started a round robin fic thing where... some of the characters mocked openly said stuff that some of the og fans had said specifically targeting them and people in that side basically went harassing anyone who didn't agree with that specific notion

now never mind that this person basically coined an entire term to describe ppl who liked white guys and excused all their wrongdoings out of my conversation re robb basically lying about everything I said as if I didn't have the receipts and tried to sell shirts with it and it didn't work and like then she got kicked out of her own website because she was telling her commenters disagreeing pretty shitty insults (considering I was called psychotic for disagreeing with her that time I don't doubt it) I think at some point she stepped back from fandom bc idk wtf she's up to these days and I don't want to, but basically at that point the dam was broken and there was a bunch of puritanical shippers harping on anyone who didn't agree with j*nsa is canon endgame stuff

this also includes an incident when those ppl were like... passing themselves as throbb shippers and ended up trying to tell t*hramsay shippers off the theon tag based on moral reasons and I ended up arguing with all of them (and they were all from that crowd) which in turn landed me in contact with other og j*nsa shippers who were like detached from that fandom bc those same people harassed them away as well ssooooo fun

anyway when S6 happened everyone was high on it and whatnot but I wasn't gonna begrudge them that I mean... you shipped it for years, canon is delivering you, good for you, but then j*nerys happened

aaand basically...... I mean personally I was there like are y'all seriously arguing about the best incest jon ship out there but like basically the j*nsa endgame side was like AH JON IS PLAYING DANY SEE IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN, the j*nerys obv got defensive af and both sides were sort of alternatively shitting on jon/ygritte anyway and depicting any other romantic rship jon could have as abusive™ and during S8 it just got worse and like I tried to stay out of it but basically from what I'm seeing now idk how the j*neryses are doing but on the j*nsa one it's ah jon's gonna play dany anyway and she's going to go insane like in the show so SHOW TRUTHING EVERY OTHER WAY and like again denying that sandor exists or that tyrion exists and like I barely touch my corner (sansan) but I ended up arguing with j*nsa/th*nsa people on twitter who were antis and is2g it was white-hair inducing and I know for sure the sansa/tyrion shippers were harassed to hell and back throughout so FUN

and even if the show didn't go there now since everyone there banked on the jnsa endgame thing and admitting you're wrong is like... not a thing, they still haven't let go of it and attach to that ship any shred of evidence which honestly is grasping at straws half of the time (like... the sansa/alysanne parallels like guys please no) and which is why every other ship is starting to get fed up, attaching canon proof of stuff from other ships onto theirs see that batb argument and jb is platonic but jonsa is not nvm taking all the sansan stuff and throwing it on j*nsa but then denying that sansan has canon evidence (like guys I had to read sansa touching his shoulder when saying gregor wasn't a true knight wasn't meaningful and we were seeing things please) and blah blah blah

this also goes hand in hand with the fixation on like... villanizing dany at all costs and like is2g I have zero investment in dany or her storyline I don't even remember it and I don't particularly care abt her either way and sure af I'm not for j*nerys endgame but like.... some stuff I read is completely excessive esp when fixing on how she's a completely mad tyrant who's gonna have to be put down and like... guys no

(also there's some srs stannis hate in that corner which I honestly don't get why they even care abt stannis but I had to read stuff like ppl don't recognize that dany and stannis are the real villains in this saga and like........ idek)

I think most of the og shippers are gone or don't ship it openly bc they don't want to be attached to the drama but like I also think they're pissing off everyone else bc like... I mean a bunch of them also were down with sansa being paired with other ppl as long as it meant a good ending for her except those ppl were... like everyone but the ppl she has actual contact with in canon which meant that at some point sansa/gendry was a thing and like.... you can imagine why arya/gendry shippers & arya stans were fed up, and there's also this tendency to behave like sansa is the center of the entire saga which like these books is named a song of jon snow basically can we pls make peace with it and personally I've had it with both j*nsa and j*nerys people since they started with that dumbass JON/YGRITTE WAS AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP rhetoric but I'm also fed up with the total ignoring that sandor exists/depicting us as delusional and honestly I also was by proxy fed up from the harassing of the sansa/tyrion shippers soooooooooooo

there were also instances of 'well theon is an acceptable choice other than jon bc he can't threaten her' which... i mean we all know what that meant and I'm not even commenting it bc it's one AM and I have no force to but I don't have to explain why it's not a progressive take now do I

there were also metas about how cousin incest being legal in half of the world means that jondany is a worse incest and j*nsa doesn't count as such and I was basically there like guys please just fucking own up to it but honestly I chose to forgot where I read that and I couldn't find the link if I tried

tldr: no one wants to admit that it's not gonna be endgame which considering the amount of fic they have on ao3 is imvho useless bc they have more content than like.. anything I ship that's not jb or that's actually like canon *cries in joncon/rhaegar but I mean renly/loras is canon and has less fic than them* so idk what's the problem with enjoying that instead of insisting it's gonna be canon when not even the show validated it while show truthing anyway when the only show truthing that can be truthed is the small council made of minorities and possibly jon eventually fucking off with the wildlings but not like that but like most people who thought it wasn't gonna be endgame had left/were made to leave by the time S7 rolled by and at this point since wow isn't out yet everyone is fandom-grasping at straws to find stuff to discourse on and we're here beating dead horses *shrug*

so that's... how it is but I would again like to point out that I don't judge ppl on their shipping, I don't particularly care about this entire feud bc I only ship jon with ppl he's not related to in whichever way and I try to stay out of this mess bc I don't really care to argue with ppl who have already decided to bend canon to whatever they want and will have to realize that it's not what grrm wrote at some point but like I have a very good memory and the above rant is as objective as possible also bc again I don't literally have a stake in that race I just think romantic/endgame j*nsa is not a thing and that ppl should stay in their lane and not harping on other ppl who ship whatever in general but especially when their ship is the most popular thing in fandom in the first place /two cents

Hajime had already has his suspicion at first, when he asked you whether you want to hang out with him to the beach today. You definetly hesitated a long time.

And this suspicion was soon discovered because of some of your actions. You don't want to go near to the sea, you said youre not ready to go swimming. But how you look at the sea is quite obvious.

Also, walking along the seaside is quiet a normal thing to do when you're in a beach, but you refused to do that and just sat down at the sand and starts playing by your own.

That's mighty suspicious. So hajime would ask you if you're afraid of water. Out of pride, of course you'd say no. But in front of hajime? Nope you could only slowly nod your head.

Because if you deny the fact that you're afraid of water, hajime would definitely pull you to the sea and test you. You don't want that-

Hajime sighed as he flicked your forehead with his fingers calling you stupid. He then said that you should've told him earlier, he won't laugh or do anything.

After this incident, he would most likely avoid going to sea areas because he doesn't want you to feel afraid. Especially when riding on a ship if you guys are going anywhere.

He would hug you tight in his arms and not letting you feel the nauseous feeling on the ship. Comforting you as well.

Kokichi would know from the start , he obviously spy on you sometimes and heard you talking over to your friends by phone saying how afraid you are to big oceans and stuff

He would hide it for himself, because he thought maybe some day this will come in handy.

He suggested to go the beach but you obviously rejected it, he knew this was going to happen so he then change another suggestion to go on a "blind date"

He'll use a cloth to cover your eyes and bring you to whatever places he desire. You hesitated but as long as it's not places to the water, you'll be fine

He then bring you to the beach, when you guys are about to touch the sand, kokichi swiftly carries you and bring you to the sea, running.

You panic, as the cloth tied to your head came off and yous aw the scenery if the beach, you're about to yell at kokichi but he ttold you that it's fine, he'll be by your side.

He's actually using his own way to make you overcome your fear, he slowly puts you down to the water and you felt the breezing feel of the water going across your legs, he held your hand and proceed to go further

As you go further and further, your anxiety goes up and up and up, you were afraid. But with kokichi's hands held yours tightly , you continue on

Finally the water raises into your chest and you started to be more and more afraid, you hugged kokichi as tight as you can, hoping nothing will happen.

Suddenly he stops, and pats your head at the same time, telling you everything is alright now.

You then let go of him and saw yourself swimming on the ocean, though you're still afraid, but you confirmed one thing, as long as kokichi is there, you'll be alright.

He want to know everything about you, small info or bug info, he didn't even got to know this big info of yours, how could he even claim himself as your partner?

He already had a hunch, just like hajime, due to your weird actions. But Doubting one's own partner is such a hopeless thing to do! So he decided not to take his own hunch that seriously.

He wants to hear it out from your own mouth, so he'll try a lot of Opportunity to let you admit the truth. Basically it all failed but Nagito never gives up. He truly believe his luck on that hunch he got after all.

But then just one day, he asked you fi you want to live with him in a house on the seaside.

You obviously declined, which actually made him sad, he stated that maybe you just don't want to live with a trash like him, he understands.

But then you quickly denied his statement and said that there's other reasons. This time Nagito took this opportunity and Plan to trick you into telling the truth.

He asked you several questions about the situation and he finally get you to say it out by yourself.

He smiled as he shuffled his hand into your hair, telling you that this isn't something you should be ashamed of.

He then will teach you how to swim just to overcome your fears. Don't worry, Mr Komaeda would be very gentle towards you, you are his hope after all.

Izuru knows, from the very beginning, with all that actions you've made, it's not hard to tell actually, for him specifically though. I mean he is the ultimate hope after all.

Things that will make his s/o afraid? Oh.. this thing shouldn't exist. That's what he though, so whenever you got close to any water related thing, he'll just hides you from it, sometimes even wreck that thing over

You sometimes questions his action but continue your life anyway, untill things get wrong.

You want to brush your teeth and gargle the foam out, but when you're about to turn on the water pipe, izuru immediately close your eyes with his both hands and tell you not to look

Soon you figured out that he found out you aquaphobia, This situation really makes you dumbfounded. You then explain to him that you're only afraid when a big amount of water splashes to your way.

Izuru awkwardly apologize but he is still over protective- no beach date allowed, none of them. NONE

I am so incredibly disappointed by this book because the plot could be so good but the writing is just so trash. Literal TRASH.

I cant even contain my anger when I powered through this book only to reach THE KISS and be left with something so pointless as Chapter 20. Oh, and let me save you the trouble of going through the book and looking for it. Here it is:

As for Ivan Vanya Lukov. THE BAR IS ON THE FLOOR. Like, him being an actual human being gets fawned over so much I was about to revert to wearing skirts that reached the floor and hiding my face behind a fan when I laughed. 😐

Have you watched that Netflix show about twins? One was a figure skater and one was a high profile junior league hockey player? I dont remember the title and I dont care for it enough to search it right now. But I watched it, and THAT had more emotional impact than the 538 pages of this sorry excuse of a book.

Honestly, both characters are so emotionally immature for their age which makes me even more angry 😂

To anyone who is a competitive figure skater, I am so sorry that this book has made such a disservice to you and your sport.

I swear if I had the physical copy, I would stab a knife through it and just leave it there on a coffee table. I'd fucking display that shit in a museum and call it installation art.

With a competition just weeks away, she breaks her ankle!

Boy thinks its his fault, Girl says no its not. Girl keeps apologizing because she blames herself. They kiss. Because by god, we've never seen the male lead kiss their counterpart so they can stop talking! Now that thats happened, the author decided to just say: 'Fuck it! This book is done! No more work need to be done here! They kissed and thats all that matters!'

Are you fucking kidding me? How is that acceptable behavior? How is this girl not running for the hills for the way he ruined her relationship with Paul? This whole partnership was based on a lie so he can get the girl.

Oh. You're looking for spice? Don't worry. After they get second place at some competition they go back to their hotel room and feel each other up like pubescent teens and then fuck.
