small PSA: if you shop at craft shows or artist alleys, please bring more than apple pay or a virtual card - especially if you're not comfortable entering your card number manually. not all of us have fancy card readers, so please also bring your physical card or cash, even if it's only as backup 👍

It Sucks For Both Of Us!#when i say there are small businesses in the artist alley i mean some of us are Small #i don't speak just for myself but for other artists who have this trouble as well. some folks are just starting out and some folks #just do this for a hobby and can't afford or can't justify the bigger terminals yet or at all #if i get into ACEN again next year i'll opt for a terminal but they're Pricey and not something to start out with y'know #if you want to be an artist's best friend though? pay in cash.#not to mention if there's technical or wifi trouble - cash just works 100% of the time. no reader or wifi will stop you from using cash.#semi related but i had someone try to pay with apple pay at my last show and i said they'd have to enter their number manually then #and they said they'd go find their partner and see if they had card/cash. and then while they were walking away from their booth #their friend asked why and they said it wasn't safe. on one hand i can't be mad because its VERY good to practice card safety!#on the other hand. you're entering it into the same app that would process a swipe payment. it's exactly as safe as if you'd swiped it #i promise as long as you're entering the number into a square app your card info is safe lmao #anyway yeah a lot of us aren't Big Businesses. please just be courteous and bring some traditional payment methods Just In Case

A chapter #First of all: I'm ENDLESSLY GRATEFUL to the person who sent me the translation basically as soon as the chapter came out.#I even did like 90% of typesetting but didn't finish it because I had to go out #(aka with my friends were literally knocking out at my room and I couldn't make it any more late lol)#Mixed feelings about it? Mostly because there's so much exposition... There are SO many cool interactions and lore things we can look forward to now that Rubius says he'll come back to QSMP (not only as an angel / demon, but potentially as a human too!), but that little detail reminded me of something:

Even though q!Vegetta and q!Rubius were mutually interested in each other wayyyy back in the beginning of the series, as an Angel / Demon, Rubius said he can't have relationships with humans because it's against the rules.

But a bit ago on stream, Rubius said that he's thinking about having a "human" side so he can build and do more things on the server as a regular player. I'm excited because this means he can have more casual interactions with people and we can see him interacting with his friends more (and he can experience The Horrors), but also...

I think we're in for some very interesting drama in the next few weeks.*

* ( Assuming Rubius doesn't get harassed off the server by toxic shippers and weird fans of the Eggs again. Please be nice to Rubius and welcome him back kindly, he's a very cool guy and his character is SO interesting )

was playing the new TF2 halloween event, and someone noticed that my avatar was a flamingo and complimented me on it. things are perhaps good, i think.

#been playing for like... 8+ hours? i like a lot of the maps #freaky fair is probably the map i spent the most time on today. like god damn #dynamite. i only played one/two rounds of. it's a neat concept. ive played a map similar to it before #toxic seemed neat. only time i played was with like 6 people max. haven't queued for it again yet #circus is fine. player destruction isn't usually my thing. due to my ability to die constantly #outburst. its versus saxton hale. i can't really say much more than that. it's fine #blazehatten. really really messy. brushes you can stand inside. invisible clipping where railing use to be. missing textures.#iirc it was like that before zombie infection was added. like all of those problems (if not most). im sure they'll get sorted out soon.#dont really have much thought on it's gameplay though #darkmarsh. havent played yet. it looks neat from the screenshots ive seen.#happy to be doing contracts again. freaky fair has been really distracting me from doing more of them.#MVM upgrades in a normal match is weirdly addicting. i kinda wish the map was 5cp instead of 3cp.#mostly due to how sometimes we'll get steamrolled to the middle point and have to struggle getting currency if they have it locked down #since the only ways you make money are: killing enemies and capturing mid #wanted to play with a friend to do the contracts but they were busy all night and i got kinda lonely just playing on my own #normally its not something i think about #but yeah. updates good. messy in places. but not unplayable.

Unfortunately you cannot see just how bad it was, and how MUCH of it there was because it was like... micro-nano glitter....

This happened NINE YEARS AGO....

@spinejackel is my dear friend Cory, and back when I actually DID my Ask Xigbar blog the round before this last one or whatever?? - I had a whole crew and we all hung out on the reg and had a good time yadda yadda. Got kinda fucked by some falling outs and me realizing I think I'm just a shoddy friend period but ya'know. THROWS SPARKLES IN THE AIR.

But Cory is the Xaldin to my Xigbar, and I had affectionately named him Mamadin and Mother Din. Because that poor bastard would be the parental voice of reasoning nhjgh.

I don't remember what started the SPACE SILK thing but it was like... a birthday or a follower celebration or something? And we just kinda kept doing shit with these massive silk scarves with space design on them and nude drawings and it was a Thing™

So I'm shopping online one day and I come across some space silky scarves one day. BRILLIANT, I think. And I buy one for him, our other friend Dacien who was my Papa Larxy, Dem, and myself. BECAUSE AW WE'LL MATCH, BESTIES~

I keep this a secret, I make cards for them all and start putting care packages together for them all and they are none the wiser amidst the Skype calls, the group hang outs or anything.

Amazing.

Mother's day comes up and I think I'm the funniest bitch in the world. I order Mamadin a fucking WORLD'S OKAYEST MOM mug - the most Xigbar of actions I can do, honestly. PERFECT. So I get to packing all my shit together for each of them and I in my impulsive thoughts see my tiny packets of glitter for a project I never did just... chillin'. I think HAHA wouldn't it be funny to sprinkle some of that in these... like.... what a Xigbar level shit move to do....

So I unfold the scarves, sprinkle some, and refold them and package them up.

EXCEPT MAMADIN. I JUST PUT THE WHOLE PACKET IN THERE AND JUST WAS LIKE 'YEAH. GOOD." nfgjkh

Fast forward to Cory streaming, and my package arrives, and I'm like BRO OPEN IT ON STREAM!" and he's EXCITED njghk and he opens it and is like taking it all out and I'm like BRO BE DRAMATIC GIVE IT A FLUTTER....

I have never been more amused and horrified by the beauty of the chaos that happened from that as a little purple cloud just FLUTTERED DOWN and he was like >:O.......... WHAT THE HELL...

His pictures do it no justice, it was EVERYWHERE. I FELT BAD BUT ALSO LIKE... THIS IS WHEN I'M IN MY 20'S AND THIS WAS CHAOS FUN.

The worst part is I think this is about the time he was starting to plan for moving states out to his dad's so like IT GOT IN THE CLOSET SOMEHOW, IT GOT IN SUPPLIES HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW, I GOT PICTURES MONTHS LATER OF HIM POINTING AT A DOG PAW GOING "DO YOU SEE THAT?" AND IT WAS THIS GLITTER THAT DOG HAD NO WAY OF HAVING ON THEM....

Like this glitter followed him states away...

But I love my Mamadin, and he was a really good sport for that and I would have understood if he never spoke to me again nhgjndghjk but it's a stupid fond memory.
