i don't know if i believe anyone can actually be both a dog person and a cat person simultaneously since that is ultimately a lifestyle question. i think most people who claim both are cat people who like dogs

#i have both and prefer to have both #and if given the choice will always have both #but my lifestyle is compatible with a dog #i do Dog Activities #that's how I spend my time #and i have my dog with me whenever i do anything #i have to make specific accommodations for my cats because they do not actually suit my lifestyle #and while i like both i can get by without cats #but i need a dog in order to just maintain my lifestyle #because having a dog is a major part of it #i probably actually wouldn't even have cats if i wasn't already forced to make the same accommodations they need for my birds

ok people we gotta stop making mori the source of all evil with soukoku. Yes mori is evil about how he treated yosano and a lot of the pm members but that's a whole other can of worms.

Extremely quick and dirty speedpaint of a dream I had last night

#other art #I was at like a wildlife center with wolves and this one '''wolf dog''' (which was the size of a deer and I forgot about that til now)#was keeping pace with the pickup truck I was driving ('I was thinking 'wow that's 40 mph')#It started chewing on a hole in the fence and I was kinda like ruh roh but ignored it and moved on to other dream activities #Then later I'm talking to some guy and hear an explosion and the bed of my pickup truck was on fire (dream logic dictated this is where the #engine was) and the dog was there. Had kind of an 'OH YOU!' moment with it #Like not actually that bothered by this dog blowing up my vehicle #The fire was bright blue and I was thinking 'hey I drew something like this recently' and then everything else started catching on fire #And I was like Oh my god I have to go into The Tunnels to retrieve my belongings so they don't get burned #(There are always tunnels in my dreams). And I think I failed to do that because the tunnels were on fire too. Then my parents had #to pick me up. Don't remember these last bits very well

whyyyy do so few people actually put consideration into their dog's breed when assessing unwanted behaviors

#for context someone on reddit said they were having trouble with their six month old husky pulling on walks #my brother in mitzvah you got a dog that was literally bred to pull you #i posted a nice response to them basically saying like #'well i think what might be the best long term is to find an outlet where he can satisfy that urge to pull so he knows exactly when #he's allowed to do it'#like canicross or bikejoring #and you know maybe they did do their research into huskies they're clearly taking the dog to a trainer #so maybe these thoughts are uncharitable!#but like!!!! how do more people not know to look into stuff like this #someone a couple weeks ago was confused why their scenthound mix didn't enjoy walks 'like a normal dog' and called him lazy #like dude he's not lazy he just wasn't bred for a lot of active walkig #he was bred for a lot of slow ambling. with his nose to the fuckin ground.#get him some scentwork kits.#starscream.txt #anyways [gets off my soapbox]

I don't know the exact time since I wasn't really keeping track #anyways this would've come out quicker if I hadn't put it off for a few days but I really needed to take a break since it got frustrating #the bg and skeleton were already done but I was really stuck on what to do with chuuya and I even scrapped the original pose I had for him #it was too difficult given my current skill set. but I can see how i've improved since my last major piece (aka my own dtiys)#but yeah. also disregard his gloves I literally forgot that and I didn't want to detail his actual hands so. gloves it was. yeah.#for my sake just pretend that he either forgot or just activated corruption suddenly so then he'll rip them off anyways #still drew his hat blowing away amidst the flurry of feathers though #oh also this is 16 chuuya. 22 chuuya's hair PAINS me to draw so I went the gay little ponytail route #design notes include making his coat have fur to reference how he was based off of a bearded vulture #also his wings were very fun to draw. Concept: After the Guild arc, the news wants to do a live interview with the people directly responsible for stopping the Moby Dick from crashing and saving the city.

AKA. Atsushi and Akutagawa

It takes a bit of deliberation on both parts, but the Agency and Mafia eventually agree, because they feel it will be good PR.

They both get trained, as well as doing some join practices, for how to speak on live tv and not sound like they want to kill each other.

On the actual day of the interview, Atsushi and Akutagawa are there on screen, Dazai and Chuuya are behind the camera to guide their respective orphan's and get them to smile more (or in Akutagawa's case, look a little bit less like he wants to murder the camera), and Mori and Fukuzawa are there as the leaders of the organizations.

So. Three generations of skk under roof while the tv is live? What could possibly go wrong?

Took Kaija to an informal baby nosework class today where she learned how to search for and retrieve a piece of a red deer antler 🦌

#3 years #australian shepherd #dogblr #dog training #nosework #my tentative plan is to get a full roe antler from somewhere (i.e. probably from a hunter) and switch to using that #and maybe actually go out looking for real shed antlers at some point?? i've always wanted to try that.#a couple of things from today:#1) i don't really think this is something kaija has loads of natural talent for 😅#considering that at some points she was walking right past the antler or seemingly relying more on her eyes than her nose #but i guess time will tell maybe we'll figure it out eventually #2) we have a retrieve to hand now :')#i remember i was working on a (more formal) retrieve at some point but then the RO trial season started and that fell to the wayside #her retrieve atm may not be pretty but it works! and i'm happy about it!#3) nosework really tires her out fast. those wheels in her head were TURNING today and she's sooo exhausted now #so if nothing else then at least we have a fun new activity that we can do both indoors and out
