OKAY HELLO THERE FOLKS im here rn to tell you abt a heathers au i have where jd survives !! i wrote most of this vv late at night so forgive me if it doesnt make sense or if its dumb lol, also this is based off the movie bcuz i havent seen the musical yet

-okay so theres multiple versions i have of this au, in one of them jd and veronica arent together, but that made me kinda sad (my poor little mega-crush-on-jd heart doesnt want him to be lonely </3) so i have another au where their shared secrets end up keeping them together, and then that one also has two versions, one where they have a kid and one where they dont (this is proof i have too much free time amd i write shit way too late at night) (also i have way more hcs abt the "they do stay together" version lmao)

-so the bomb didnt work quite as well as he thought it wld. he still got blown the fuck up but not bad enough to kill him (obvi). someone called an ambulance (im not sure who but definitely not veronica /lh), he got rushed off to hospital, he was there for quite a while and got a lot of scars and stuff but somehow he managed to survive (they thought he was a total goner man)

-veronica didnt know he was still alive for a few weeks. the explosion was on the news, but she was majorly avoiding tv altogether at the time (no matter where you are the news is always reporting on some sort of death and tragedy, and it served as WAYYYYY too much of a reminder of what she and jd did). she didnt find out til she actually saw him in person

-she was at the 711 (or wherever the fuck they got the slushies from idk its midnight rn) getting potato chips (yes this is an important detail to me. dont ask me why.) and he happened to be there at the same time

-she totally freaked the hell out when she saw him ("no. no! youre dead! youre dead! youre fucking dead!" "well you see, the thing is, im actually not.") and it took her awhile to come to terms with the situation

-in the "veronica-less" au, they ran into each other a few times after that, veronica refused to talk with him, and he ended up leaving sherwood and going to. um. somewhere else idk thats honestly as far as i got with this version 👍👍👍

-in the "they stay together" version (holy fuck i need proper names for these man), they also kept running into each other, but this time it worked out different yk (god i sound stupid sorry). they were both rlly conflicted abt it. it was like they both wanted to see each other again, but at the same time it felt like the worst thing that cld possibly happen. but you see, it kept happening. and happening. and happening. its like they couldnt  avoid each other. and at some point or another, they started just wanting it to happen. then kind of actively trying to make it happen. and then he finally just asked her out. she said no bcuz she needed some time to think abt it (they did go out a couple weeks later tho)

-(skip back in time a lil here bcuz im a fuckin scatterbrain lmao) when veronica found out jd was still alive she was scared of him yk (i mean i wld be too if my supposed-to-be-dead ex showed up outta nowhere) but she realised that like. he changed. smth happened in his silly lil head when he nearlu died, and he realised that everything that happened was totally fucked up and he actually regrets it and wants to do things different yk. (wanna be a better person? have a near-death experience /j)

-youd expect them to go get slushies when they finally do go on a date. NOPE. they actually go out for breakfast and get waffles (jd absolutely 100% loves waffles and you cannot convince me otherwise)

-at some point or another, veronica buys him little vinyl dinosaur stickers (yknow like the kind you can put on laptops and helmets and stuff). i dont know when this happens. i dont know why this happens. but i know it happens.

-jd kinda wants to be a theatre actor for a lil while, he ends up having tiny roles in a few things but he never rlly has any cool roles yk (im not quire sure why this is part of my au now but its probably just bcuz i wanna watch the musical lmao)

-okay i told you there was two points where this au branches off and congratulations youve just reached the second point 👍👍👍 this is where the path splits between "jd and veronica with no kids" and "jd and veronica with a kid"

-in the "no kids" version, they cant have a kid bcuz theyre scared that they wont be able to raise a child properly and the kid will turn out like they did, and thats the scariest thought in the world to them

-in the "jd and veronica with kids" version (srsly i need the power to create au titles man eueueue), they have a teenage daughter named alina

-theyre super super SUPER protective of her and like theyre always fretting abt whether theyre doing a good job

-they dont tell her abt what they did in '88 bcuz theyre worried abt how shell react, sometimes they think maybe they shld say smth but they always end up agreeing to "just wait til later" (theyre never gonna tell her man theres no way in hell)

-jd knows that the only reason veronica was involved in the deaths was bcuz she was with him, and so he gets extra extra worried whenever alina starts dating someone bcuz hes scared that shell get taken down the same path that he took veronica down all those years ago (which is very unlikely but i mean can ya blame him?)

-jd 100% needs therapy but cant get it bcuz how the fuck do you tell a therapist that you murdered three ppl and then tried to explode yourself. so instead he has a diary he writes in every day and he uses it as sort of self-therapy (i tooooootally didnt just take one of my own personality traits or habits or wtvr the word is and give it to him. totally not. totally. 👍)

Psssssssst. Hi. I wish to know about ur au with the Injured Messenger I am extremely intrigued. Dead people hell yea

YAY! INTEREST ABOUT MY CHILDREN! This is a very long post cos I ramble a lot lmao

So my au starts with a bunch of sky kids falling down from the stars (presumably after eden) and a new moth joining them, one of the sky kids crashes into the moth, and knocks them wildly off course, causing them to crash into wasteland.

After crashing into wasteland with no idea what they're meant to be doing, the moth, who I like to refer to as "Local Baby", ends up wandering the outskirts of wasteland til they come across darkness. Before realising what it is, they're initially fascinated, finding it beautiful, until their sky kid instincts kick in and they realise "oh this stuff is probably bad". (This is another theme I want to explore in this au too, about how darkness can be beautiful, and how not everything to do with darkness is inherently evil, but that's just a want rn)

Thats when they realise something is under the darkness, they pull at the darkness with their hands (too baby to know how to use a candle yet) until the something is revealed, a dormant spirit (Messenger). Since they dont know how to use a candle (and quite frankly have no idea whats causing their new friend to be made of stone, only that "yay new friend :D") they attempt to wake them up, fail, and just kinda, lie down next to them and fall asleep.

Sky kids, unlike spirits, are a powerful source of light. Even without candle use, kinda sitting next to one for 8 hours is good enough to wake up a spirit. So Messenger wakes up. Initally confused about why they were face down in the dirt, they turn to see the Local Baby staring at them. At first they're like "A child??" before realising "A SKY KID????"

They question why (and how) the sky kid got there, until they realise what happened. This sky kid has just been born, has no clue what anything is, and most importantly, has no wing level.

This is where lore gets interesting for spirits and wing levels. Spirits can fly, but their method of getting wing levels is different than sky kids. A sky kid gains winged light by recollecting their memories, either of past lives they no longer identify with (like our moth here) or simply re-remembering memories they already know (like how our sky kids work). These memories show up in physical form to them as Winged Light, but spirits cant see them.

Spirits gain wing levels differently. Spirits gain wing levels via sky kids, specifically, sky kids who fall down from the stars not fully formed, or perish on the fall. Kind of like being stillborn, or not simply dying shortly after birth. Spirits can absorb the high concentrates of light these sky kids to gain a wing level (this act being referred to as catching stars), but this is very rare, especially in places that don't see as much light (ie wasteland and forest).

Messenger ends up freaking out and realising they still have stuff to deliver, and they cant dilly dally, until a sharp pain strikes them in their stomach and they fall to their knees, remembering "OH YEAH I GOT STABBED BY A SPEAR". Local Baby notices and goes up to them, touching them, and the pain seems to fade. They assume that, the sky kid healed them using the power of light (they didnt) and thank them. In reality this was just Local Baby viewing Messenger's memory, like in the actual game.

Since Messenger needs to deliver things to Vault anyway (a neutral zone from the war) they decide to take the baby along, so they can get somewhere safe where they wont have to worry that someone will take this baby and harvest them for their light.

After this my ideas for this au are a lot less set in stone. I have some general plot beats set out, Messenger and Local Baby walk for a few days until hitting an abandoned outpost, taking an old boat they find, and flying it over to the temple where they arrive from the left (a usually cloud blocked area in game). Messenger sees the aftermath, wound hurts again, Baby helps. They get into vault, some other sky kid accidentally reveals to Messenger that they're dead, they try not to cry. Baby gets their first WL maybe, stuff happens from there idk. They also probably got krilled at some point, well, almost krilled (Yay Messenger for saving their child!!)

As well as some other general lore, like Sky kids eating light as food (and also just fucking biting down into candles sometimes cos i think thats funny), Local Baby only remembering how to get their candle out after getting a WL (because WL are memories and they have no memories nor braincells). Messenger not eating at all because they're dead and not realising cos they're too distracted with the child and/or assuming the sky kid did this to them (things aren't really known about sky kids, so they just kinda go along with it). Sky kids needing to light each other to understand each other, but spirits being able to understand just fine. A lot of minor stuff really I guess.

I'm also currently in the middle of doing some art of them in wasteland because I love them!

the marines and the world government and pirates dont really exist in this au obs hahdvdb but i was hinting that the league committee was sus, sussy as hell but i didnt have much else to pad this concept out

General concept is there’s a big “calamity” incoming for this story, what it is i still dunno but the league committee is absolutely at the center of it all, as is the general??? Government? We have to assume theres a political presence in pokemon?? So we have a overarching government power and they oversee the entirety of the grandline and the islands i guess and theyre in cahoots with the league committee

So there’s this concept that trainer’s and their bonded pokemon can “sync” when they mega evolve , this phenomenon is present in other “gimmicks” but for the sake of mega evolution being the first big game changer of its kind and Ash having ash-greninja as a alt form im going to use this for the au

This means a variety of things but mostly what kind of bond is needed for this perculiar sync to occur? How strong is it, is it emotional attachment? Or not?

The boa sisters were experiments, for this phenomenon, the result was a sense of detachment for all of them, specifically hancock as she seemed to have the most promising temperament for this special bond

As a result, Hancock does not use mega evolution, she despises it and maybe as a shield, to protect herself has built her empire and gym (she is the 5th? Gym leader) over a dynamax spot, the gargantuan size of her pokemon helps her feel safe and thats all she is willing to say about any of the competitive battle tactics she likes to see her pokemon tower over the challengers so she feels in control, at all times no matter what

Marco and Ace can use mega evolution and their bonds with their available Pokémon who can evolve this way are stable, trusting and loving, this is the best possible outcome for a mega evolution bond sync, this is what every top tier trainer should be aiming for if they want to utilise such a powerful form

Sabo however is like Hancock, he’s got potential, and it helps that he’s highly attuned to his Garchomp

There’s a second tier to mega evolution where a trainer and partner pokemon sync so closely its hard to tell where their personalities start and end, for Hancock she was experimented on with charizard mega stones (she has a great fear of dragons…) she became violent as did the bonded charizards, but the bond was forced and painful and left a scar on their minds

For Sabo which many would say is a good relationship, becomes more bestial, taking on Garchomp’s hotheaded animal mind so that Chompy can become more level headed, its like a trade in a sense, Sabo takes the animal impulse from Garchomp so he can become more rational, this is because mega evolved garchomp are violent, uncouth beasts that should never even have such a demonic temperament, without a good trainer they’re unstoppable creatures out for blood

Basically Sabo becomes a bloodthirsty feral bastard so Chompy can use his mega form without fear of hurting anyone, any physical changes on either is most likely a trick of the light but there have been photos of Sabo with slit pupils thrown around the forums

Luffy also has potential too but he doesnt know it yet, he currently has no mega stones or pokemon who can evolve this way

i was talking about chapter titles lol but i can expand upon that along w story titles!!! (i’m only gonna do go lightly up until recent for chapter titles because i didnt use to do this) (also i don’t acc remember how i thought of blue/briar/bones so i can’t talk about that lol sorry!!)

mean spirits is actually a rereleased title of a mediator book from meg cabot’s series. originally it was called something else but they redid the whole series (personally i think bc it was around the time twilight came out,,, it was to market towards twilight fans lol Anyway) and i remember i was planning mean spirits,,, and i remember looking across at the book spine for this book and i already had the last line in my head?? and it kind of stuck

go lightly sort of has a theme with the old hollywood/50s sort of vibe?? like because it’s called go lightly it’s named breakfast at tiffanys i tried to keep a 50s sort of theme with some of the chapter titles. not all of the titles have a theme, but the ones for the old hollywood theme include: in cold blood (truman capote’s other book!), greetings from, morning glory, blue hawaii, house of flowers (lmao a short story by truman capote!!), and some others that sort of… sound similar?? at least to me??

… there are some chapter titles that were named after songs:

babe with the power (magic dance by david bowie)

blow ‘em away (ill ray the king by kasabian)

comeback kid (also kasabian)

sweet like cinnamon (radio by lana del rey)

and brand new moves (hey violet) are all from this.

tbh though with go lightly a lot of the time it was phrases used in chapters that sort of fit the chapter titles?? honestly i don’t even know how to explain how the chapter titles, to me, seem to have a correlation, because i think a lot of it is me being able to identify a pattern that isn’t *really* there. (also for christmas chapters i really liked making plays on words with holly’s name. (i am forever annoyed i never used the name ‘holliday madness’ bc i love that one but i thought of it after finishing it lol)

clueless!!! so clueless is different in the way that,, for go lightly,, i had a list of potential chapter titles so if i was ever struggling, i could use one of those, and since they were all quite ambiguous, they’d be fairly easy to give to a chapter. but anyway. with clueless, i didn’t actually make a list? i think i had a lot of chapter titles in mind from when i wrote briar and also when i wrote the first version of clueless (so a good ten chapter titles) (and then like three attempted revamps… so a few more title ideas from that) but again, the thing is, with clueless i can see a pattern, but then i don’t know if others can?

for clueless, the best way i can describe it is, playful but also a little flirty. if that makes sense. like there are some chapter titles that are a little more “playful,” and by that i mean they’re a little bit jokey??? which again doesn’t make much sense but hear me out:

i feel like they’re a little more fun compared to the other ones, if that makes sense. like even the fact that chapter thirteen is “a lost chapter,” like i feel like it adds a sense of playfulness that briar,,, arguably also has.

but then i feel as if the other chapter titles, a lot of them have a sort of flirtiness to them, with the sort of romantic imagery and language?? like,,, there are two chapter titles that include “pretty,” one with “angel,” one’s named after flowers w “in bloom,” arguably the sibilance in “soft to be strong,” and then “crush culture.” buuuuuuuuut, there are a lot of chapter titles that reference either briar, a draft of clueless, or something in the plot iteself. so:

in bloom was a chapter in the original clueless

hogwarts… beauxbatons references briar’s ~struggle~ and moving on from her life at hogwarts

totally clueless links back to the actual title (also links to the last chapter in part one!!)

pretty in pink… no, blue? is a reference to the original clueless because there was a chapter called ‘pretty in pink,’ but ofc bc briar’s dress was blue i added the other part

blue hawaii references laurel’s old au (also go lightly??)

the weirdest dream references the conversation briar and fred had earlier on in part one

NOW chapter nineteen is included in this but chapter nineteen is SPECIAL. chapter nineteen is called briar, and there is a whole reason behind this. SO. chapter nineteen. in the original briar, she dies at nineteen, so for clueless chapter nineteen had to be SPECIAL. in my mind the number nineteen represents briar; it represents her vision of her death, it represents how she dies so young, it represents how briar’s life was not only cut off so early but also she knew it was going to happen and the vision itself killed her. SO. chapter nineteen had to be called briar. like. i couldn’t not name it briar. the additional part of the chapter title is “her spindle wheel…?” and that is IMPORTANT.

so. the last chapter of briar is “her spindle wheel.” super duper important for Reasons but that is not why we’re talking about that rn. so. her spindle wheel. her spindle wheel are her visions. BUT. in chapter nineteen – the number that’s important because it links to her death – briar, in clueless, decides she isn’t going to let the vision happen… it does happen, but her reaction to what happens is the complete opposite to what happens in briar. in clueless, chapter nineteen cements the moment when briar realises she does not have to let visions come true, and therefore if she wants to change the future then she will. SO. the additional part being “her spindle wheel…?” is a question. the “…?” at the end is a way of showing that maybe her visions won’t be her spindle wheel…. wink wink nudge nudge

i haven’t written enough of morningstar nor most noble to answer this for them in this much detail, but believe me they’ve got their title lists and ugh i am READY. but yeah. i don’t think you wanted it in this much detail. but hi my name is lucy and i’m doing english lit and uni. i’ve also lowkey really wanted to talk about chapter nineteen so lol yeah. so. i hope someone finds this of use lmao

a/n: the next one in my first meeting! au series! sorry that it took so long! honestly a lot has been happening in life and everything is uncertain and just life is hard and decisions too. but did you guys watch mama? how beautiful were wanna one? and i can’t get over how handsome seongwoo is and congrats to wanna one for winning 2 awards!!! everyone has worked hard and everyone is equally deserves an award, spread love and not hate im so annoyed at “fans” complaining about how some groups don’t deserve an award or another group deserved an award more...everyone is deserving!!!!! but there are only so little awards to give out :(( anyways hope you guys enjoy this scenario :) 

you were an only child 

while you always had your parents attention and you were super close to them 

sometimes you really wish you had a sibling

to rant about life with and to do fun things together with 

so now you are on a holiday with your parents 

and today was the amusement park which you were most looking forward too 

the last time you went to an amusement park when you were like 8 so you couldn’t go on all the big scary rides :(((

so you were keen for this time as you were able to go on every ride due to your height 

you and your parents arrived at the theme park 

and well obviously you and your parents had different ideas about what was fun 

they were into slow rides where they could see the scenery like cable cars and towers that slowly rose up 

while you were into thrill rides like rollercoasters or haunted houses or those rides where you drop down 

so you and your parents decided to separate for the day and meet up again just before the amusement park closed 

while walking around you couldn’t help but be envious of all the young people around you 

there were couples or siblings or people with a big group of friends 

you decided to push those thoughts out and make the most of the day 

you went on some rides with shorter lines and screamed your lungs off without a care in the world 

but these rides were medium level and not too scary   

at this amusement park there was also the second fastest ride in the world so it was obviously popular 

you really wanted to go on it so you joined the line,,,even though it was a 1.5 hr wait lmao

for the first `10 or so minutes you scrolled through your phone 

until the group of ppl in front of you caught your attention bc they were so loud especially this one guy with a hyena laugh lol jaehwan my boy 

you realised that those group of boys were actually behind you in line for the first ride you went on this morning 

and you may or may not  have found them cute 

but anyways you continued on with your business continuing to scroll through your phone 

....until suddenly there was pushing for some reason and you were shoved against this tall guy in front of you 

his nice and firm back was the first thing that came to mind

the guy turned around and smiled at you and as he slightly held onto you 

“omg i’m so sorry” you said flustered “i dont know why they’re pushing behind me” 

“hey don’t be sorry its fine!!” said the guy really nicely as he continued to hold onto you to keep u stable not even sure if that makes sense but lets go with the flow 

while you slightly tried to hide your blushing 

bc his voice was so ??? nice ??

the pushing went on for a little more and it finally stopped and you heaved a sigh of relief

“hey i’m so sorry what’s your name?” asked the guy

“im y/n! and you?” 

“i’m seongwoo, ong seongwoo, not hong seongwoo, not kong seongwoo, not wong seongwoo but ong seongwoo. nice to meet you” 

you nodded and laughed at his response 

he laughed as well glad that you found him funny bc he lowkey found u cute as well 

“are you here yourself?” asked seongwoo

“i’m with my parents but they’re not really up for this ride” 

he laughed and his eyes crinkled cutely 

“lol yeah makes sense, im with my crazy bunch of friends but you can join us if you like” offered seongwoo 

when he said that, his friends all turned around and started greeting you enthusiastically trying to shake your hand and talk to you and you were overwhelmed by their keenness

“hey hey guys BACK OFF i talked to her first” joked seongwoo

you all  laughed and then he introduced you one by one each of his friends providing a funny description for each person 

they all seemed tight and you found out that they’d be friends for a long time bc they were the only younger boys who lived in their neighbourhood so they all naturally became friends even though there were age gaps 

suddenly lining up for this ride was fun and the time went so fast 

you listened to them talk and found it cute how they always talked over each other and tried to get your attention whenever you asked them questions 

you laughed along with them and learnt that they all learnt dancing together and hoped to form an entertainment agency and they joked that you should be the ceo 

while lining up though you couldn’t help but be most attached to seongwoo 

he was super nice and when no one was talking to you he would strike up a conversation 

you noticed he had these three moles formed like a constellation under his left eye correct me if im wrong omg

and they were so pretty and unique 

basically not only was he very handsome but had a fun and down to earth personality 

in no time you guys were at the front of the line however the ride was in pairs 

and his friends obviously had a plan bc they noticed the secret and not so shy glances you and seongwoo stole at each other 

so they all paired up  at the speed of light even daniel left ong to pair up with jisung 

and seongwoo was left with you 

but you both were secretly happy heheh

you guys got on the ride and buckled up 

soon the rollercoaster started going up and thats when it hit you 

“omg omg omg” you chanted excitedly 

seongwoo laughed at your cute reaction and chanted along with you 

you raised your hands as it got to the peak 

and woosh the rollercoaster was going down steeply at the speed of 160km/hr 

you and seongwoo screamed in delight

and unconsciously he grabbed onto your hand as he continued to scream and wail and shout 

at that moment when you felt his hand grabbing yours 

it didn’t feel like you were on a rollercoaster anymore

rather your heart was on a rollercoaster of emotions that you had never experienced before 

then he suddenly let go and raised his ups as the ride reached another peak 

you were slightly disappointed but decided to enjoy the ride so you continued screaming and enjoying the thrill 

when you all got off you all passed the section where the photos from the ride were on the screen

and you didnt even know  there would be photos 

“guys lets look at the photos” shouted jisung as he tried to gather all the crazy boys 

you guys looked through the photos as they were presented on a slideshow

and when it got to you and seongwoo’s they all burst out in laughter and began to tease you 

“hahahah omg look y/n’s expression is frozen” said guanlin seal clapping 

“y/n must love it so much” shrieked jaehwan 

“they’re in love oooohhhh” teased daehwi 

you and seongwoo exchanged shy glances as they continued to tease you two 

from then on for every ride they would make sure you and seongwoo were next to each other 

and the two of you didn’t even protest 

and y’all were both secretly enjoying it 

the last destination for the day was the ferris wheel 

when you guys were lining up you and seongwoo were at the end of the group 

when you guys reached the front of the line you noticed daniel and sungwoon whispering to the guy who worked there 

but you didn’t think much of it 

the limit for the ferris wheel was 4 ppl max per but daniel and sungwoon were begging the guy to let them go in 2 groups of 5 so that seongwoo and you could be together lmao

which obviously you two didn’t know

when the next ferris wheel came down 5 of the squished onto the ferris wheel and straightaway the next 5 did too 

leaving you with seongwoo 

“looks like i’ll leave you two to have a date” smirked the guy who worked there as he ushered you two on the ferris wheel 

now you were alone with seongwoo on the ferris wheel and you were feeling shy 

it was already dark outside and you could see the stars outside

it was silent between you guys but it was like a comfortable and peaceful silence

sudden;y seongwoo spoke calling out your name

“yes?” 

“you know this might be reaally random but i’d like it if we continued to hang out as today was really fun” said seongwoo 

“same here” you nodded in agreement “i’m really grateful that you let me hang out with you and your friends even though we only met today”

“this might sound cliche but i think i fell for you at first sight” said seongwoo shyly as he rubbed the back of his neck

ok so lets give you a bit of background to set the scene 

you’re an idol, but originally you were going to be an actress except you really liked dancing and singing so your company was like ‘why not both?’ (think female version of Ong)

You became a fixed MC on a music show last year so you’ve been able to meet a lot of people

Popularity-wise, you’re pretty well liked, you’ve never had any scandals or issues

Plus because you’re bi/multilingual so you’ve been able to further expand Hallyu internationally, and yknow everyone loves a bit of patriotism 

So this is why you were extremely uncertain about being on WGM

It’s a show that puts you in the spotlight

and kinda tries to brand you with this false image, and if you don’t fit that image the public tend to be like wtf is wrong with you

WGM could be a make or break for the virtual couples who participated on the show

You had heard from other celebrities who had been on WGM about how strange it was, like just the whole concept of a “virtual” relationship wasn’t something you’d ever been too keen on

So you were skeptical and it didnt help that your company hadn’t given you much warning about being on it

They just said to be prepared for the invitation over the next week or so

So when the red mailbox appeared outside your dorm along with a bunch of MBC camera staff you realised they hadn’t been kidding

You had read the letter outloud for the cameras;

“To my soon-to-be virtual wife, our first meeting place will be at the xxxxxx Building tomorrow. Before we meet, I’ll give you a big clue as to who I am, I wonder if you’ll be able to guess! I’m in an idol group, and I’ve debuted twice…I look forward to meeting you~

You read the letter again, absorbing all the information….

“EH? Tomorrow??” 

no wonder your manager had been awfully quiet when you had asked her about your schedule

Tbh…now that you had accepted the fact that you had to go on this show, you were kinda excited

It’s literally so rare for you to ever get the chance to go on a proper date, even if this counted as a fake/virtual one

You hadn’t slept well the night before, in both fear and anticipation

Hopefully the person you were going to ‘marry’ would be nice

Because your partner was fully in charge of organising this first date, you had decided to prepare a gift for him

Which you found to be super difficult, seeing as you weren’t sure who they were but tbh you had narrowed it down to a couple of possibilities

Like in the pre-meet interview that morning they had asked you if you had any idea who the person could be and you had listed a few names of idols you knew had debuted twice, like mino, or sungwoon or minhyunnnn

but seeing as you knew he’s an idol you decided on little things you knew you found helpful being an idol yourself

You packed a neck pillow, a heat pack, and this really big woollen scarf you had knitted yourself (imagine it’s winter time pls)

Your manager drops you off outside the building and you hop out of the car in this big fluffy sweater and black jeans, completed bundled up and warm

The staff ushered you over to the elevator and you’re left awkwardly and nervously rambling to yourself as they press the buttons to every 2nd floor

The doors open to the second floor and a hotel staff pops their head in and gives you a bouquet of flowers with a note

“You’re here! Today’s the day we finally meet~”

You smiled to yourself, seems like this guy is a bit of a hopeless romantic

The doors to the fourth floor open and sitting on the ground is a little fox plushie doll

You pick it up and attached is another note that says,

“I’ve heard that I resemble a desert fox~”

You froze, no freaking way could it be….

On the sixth floor it was a jar of honey - “My voice is sweet like honey wahhh this is embarrassing >

Your eyes widened. There was no denying who it was now.

WGM had never done something like this before, usually people who went on the show had never previously met or had many interactions, but in your case it would be different

You had met Minhyun before, multiple times in fact

You had been good friends with Aron from NU’EST as well as other English speaking idols and had naturally gotten to know the other boys from NU’EST as well

And although you wouldn’t consider yourself best friends with Minhyun or anything, you had always been able to joke round with him

plus he’s a super cute and super nice guy that was always easy to talk to

Now that you think about it, it’s kinda even more terrifying now that you know who’s waiting for you and the fact you already know him as well??? and he doesnt have a clue who you are???? what if he’s disappointed??? like how awkward would that be, you’d actually die from embarrassment

Finally the doors to the 10th floor open and lo and behold Minhyun is standing there, with his back facing you

When he heard the door open he had immediately tensed up

He was nervous as hell too, poor thing

Like kinda kicking himself for being so cheesy with the whole elevator thing, but y’know, gotta make a strong first impression

He can hear your footsteps approach him and he fights the urge to turn round 

The staff signal to you to say something and you become a big stuttering mess, like what are you meant to say???

“uHHhhHH Minhyun, IT’S ME, Y/N”

And he whizzes round so fking fast with his eyes popping out of his head literally everyone is laughing so hard

And he’s bright red because in the pre-interview they had asked him who he’d choose if any idol was able to go on wgm as his partner, and he had said Y/N, and he just assumed that you wouldn’t be on this show and didnt have his hopes up

so the fact you’re actually standing in front of him about to become his virtual wife is so strange but surreal to both of you

so of course, the two of you hit it off right away, seeing as you already know each other

After migrating to a cafe, you thanked him for the gifts and the elevator surprises and gave him the present you prepared

and he loves it so much, and he puts on the scarf you made straight away and is super proud of it

and you kinda just catch up on life with him, and find out how he’s doing in Wanna One

and that night after the filming was over, he sent you a text telling you how he was happy that you were his partner

and you spent the whole night just messaging cute little shy texts back and forth

After a few more days of filming, the first episode was finally broadcasted

And you were anxiously sitting by the tv with your group members trying to gage their reactions

it was embarrassing to see yourself become such a blushing mess in front of Minhyun

It was embarrassing for your friends too though, because no one is used to seeing you all shy like this

Funnily enough, Minhyun was the same in his dorm, and all the W1 boys were teasing him relentlessly

like collectively cringing at the notes he had left for you, and commenting on everything he did

And after the episode finishes, you’re a bit anxious of what the viewers think of it all

but luckily it turns out lots of people tuned in and love it

It seems to be a realistic fantasy(?) of people’s to go from friends to lovers

so with each following episode, the public laps up all the cuteness the two of you just naturally exude

Like they love how both of you were supposedly motae solo (single since birth), and that for both of you this would be the first ‘proper’ relationship

And minhyun has always had Boyfriend goals vibe attached to him

and you were top notch wife material too

You guys become known as the “Royal” couple

every one is like “충성충성” (choongseongchoongseong) I pledge my loyalty to you

So the first time you guys had proper skinship was super natural but cheesy as well

It was a filming by the Han River and you hadn’t worn gloves and it was getting pretty chilly

You had been rubbing your hands together to warm them up and it hadn’t been particularly obvious but Minhyun just reaches over and gently clasps your hand in his and puts it in his pocket

literally at that part though, everyone watching it had squealed

even you had been like omg bf goals

And bit later on when you had moved into the honeymoon house, the two of you would often rest your heads on the other’s shoulder and read books together

One of the most heart pounding days had been the wedding day, because although you knew it wasn’t a legit thing, something about Minhyun wearing a tuxedo and standing there waiting for you to walk towards him had made you feel things

And clearly you had the same effect on him, because he was absolutely speechless when he saw you

That night before heading back to the dorm, it seemed that the something had changed between the two of you

The hug Minhyun had given you had been longer, and gentler, if that was even possible

and he’d brushed the hair away from your face and whispered a string of sweet nothings into your ear before giving you a cute little wave and scampering over to get into his manager’s van

and you weren’t too sure what to think of it, because it’s not like the two of you are properly dating or anything

although it definitely feels like it

You go on lots more dates every week and each one was full of memories

Like you’d gone to movies, but you’d actually fallen asleep and Minhyun had just giggled

“Minhyun, you should’ve woken me up!”

“But you looked cute! i think you drooled tho” 

And you’d gone tandem biking, and wandered round different museums, and you went to karaoke together, and Minhyun ended up serenading you with cute af songs

and there was a day that the two of you went shopping to look for gifts for each other, and you ended up getting matching phone charms

There was also the time where there was a special guest episode, where both of you had invited friends round and cooked dinner for them

And everything goes smoothly for the following couple of months, with your relationship only getting closer each day

Until one day a letter arrives, and it’s different from the others so both of you immediately know what it is 

A week before the final episode, you started to distance yourself from Minhyun

mainly because both of you have been so shy about your true feelings, despite talking lots and becoming closer, you still have no clue if minhyun actually considers you to be more than a friend

and because you knew it was coming to an end, you’d have to say goodbye anyways so you were trying to let go without having to have your feelings hurt more than they would be

it didn’t feel right though, and Minhyun could tell something was wrong 

so he had come up to you and put a hand on your arm just before the crew started filming the final episode to talk to you

“Y/N…are we…okay?”

You glanced up at him and you could see his eyes trying to decipher the expression on your face and as much as it pained for you to say it, you decided it would be the best to break ties now

“Yeah, why wouldn’t we be, we’re friends aren’t we?”

And after you had said that, Minhyun’s face had fallen

Like he was upset that you appeared so nonchalant that the ‘marriage’ would be over and you’d revert back to being just friends

He dropped his hand that was on your arm and nodded, his face hardening and he turned to walk away

A few steps though, and he stopped turning back, eyes meeting yours

“I know this was a virtual marriage, but I was always sincere every moment I spent with you. I just thought I’d tell you that before we started filiming.”

And he walked off towards his waiting room, and left you standing there not too sure what to do anymore

During the filming, you struggled not to cry as Minhyun’s hand held yours

The movie theatre dimmed and started playing all the memories you’d made together

it was making you so emotional, and the sad piano BGM playing did not help at all

so you couldn’t stop the tears from falling when the video cut to a solo shot of Minhyun sending you a video message

“…This marriage may be coming to an end, but I will always treasure all the times and memories we made together…”

Covering a hand over your mouth, you tried not to sob out loud but it ended up sounding like you were having a coughing fit 

Minhyun had been quite cold to you after the encounter earlier that day, and hadn’t been particularly affectionate at all, but when he looked over at you, his face went from expressionless to one of alarm when he noticed that your cheeks were stained with tears

he immediately reached over and gently dabbed the tears away with his sleeve and pulled you into his chest

“hey, hey, don’t cry Y/N, it’s alright, babe don’t cry, I’m here for you.”

and this only made you sniffle more

Minhyun’s hand was soothingly patting the back of your head and for a minute you both forgot about the cameras as he pulled back and gently pressed his lips to your forehead

and it was such a touching and emotional moment

until you hiccupped

and Minhyun broke out into laughter his own eyes shining back at you

and you couldn’t help but join in with him in the laughter

you left the set holding hands, still sad but not as emotional as before

and you realised that this would be the last chance for you to say something

“Minhyun?”

He glanced down at you his gaze softening at the sight of your puffy eyes

“This isn’t goodbye right? Just because we’re not on the show anymore doesn’t mean we can’t see each other right?”

Minhyun just kinda looks at you like you’re crazy

“Did you really think that I’d just go on this show with you, the girl that i actually truly like, just to never talk to you again now the show’s over?”

and you were like ?? blinking in confusion…because minhyun actually does like like you, and it’s not one sided like you assumed girl it was so obv tho

He kept talking, “I looked forward to the days when i’d get to see you to film, because spending time with you is like the most natural thing in the world to me. Look I even keep this photo we took in my wallet.”

He shows you a cute little photo of the two of you at the cafe you’d been to on the first date.

“So Y/N? Don’t worry, this won’t be goodbye, you can’t get rid of your virtual husband that easily,” he says shooting finger hearts and winks at you

So, legitimately dating Minhyun is obviously not as open and conspicuous as WGM, but it’s still super cute

and on your first anniversary the two of you go on a late night outing to the cafe where you had your first date

and you buy the same drinks you had on that day and just enjoy each others company, forever grateful that you have Minhyun in your life

n you dont rlly wanna go but you’re like FINE whatever. 

so you tag along & u dont rlly bother meeting the citizens of the nct kingdom bc you’re gonna be there for like a week tops before u gotta leave again so whats??? the Point. 

u basically plan to spend the week in ur Luxurious Clam Shell sleeping.

but you get bored so u decide to swim off towards the castle bc u overheard someone saying how pretty it is so u wanna see for yourself!!! 

bc ur kingdom is in the middle of the Ocean so you’ve never actually seen a castle. or Humans rlly. 

But you’ve heard about them! 

so you’re swimming 2 the castle when u hear someone singing ... and you’re like okay well im the only mermaid here so!! thats gotta be a HUMAN

The Next Morning at like ? 6am. you’re nervous as Hell. 

you really shouldn’t be doing this because its just going to make things worse for you And for him. 

but you’ll probably never see him again ? So, just 2 yknow, say it was nice to meet him and goodbye, u show up.

Also maybe get a cupcake ? because taeyong literally would not shut up about them and now you really want to try one. 

you show up. and johnny is already there , holding a rose 

(a nice one. not a fake one like the ones yuta carries around)

and he looks Super nervous and you’re also Really nervous but. 

you swim up to him anyway and poke his arm. 

which makes him jump 

and that embarrassed smile comes out again and you can literally feel your heart melting because god he is Adorable. 

and you’re starting to think this was a Really Bad Idea. 

but he looks at you and he hands you the rose, and you’re about to speak when he stops you, 

“I just. Wanted to say thank you for saving me. And the guys told me you’re leaving and that really sucks but I’m really happy you decided to see me again.”

and you just. for once in your life you’re speechless and you just stare at the rose he gave you and. eventually you just manage to stutter out a “you’re welcome” and 

you two are just staring at each other for what feels like Hours. and you’re pretty sure you could do it for a lot longer because he’s just so nice to look at. 

but before you know it, doyoung & taeil are behind you, and they’re like, “you gotta go, your dad is waiting for you.” 

and it feels like your heart is breaking because ! you dont wanna go! you wanna stay and you want to get to know Cute Castle Boy.

but you have a kingdom to rule over in the future. 

so you try not to look too sad as u look at johnny and give him a smile, 

and he cups ur cheek the same way he did the night before ,and he’s pulling you closer and before you know it his lips are on your cheek

and you’re Blushing like Crazy! !!!! because oh my god he just kissed you. 

he finally moves his hand from your cheek 2 your hands,

“my name is Johnny, by the way”

you cant really do or say anything because you gotta leave Now. 

so you look back one last time before joining the boys and give him a little wave, and he waves back before watching you swim away. 

So, here’s the thing.

When you were a baby, a tiny little adventurous mermaid swimming along dolphins three times your size, 

you had accidentally gotten a little carried away and wandered outside of your kingdom barriers, 

lost and confused, you found a light which you followed into a cave, 

and there you met ur friendly neighbourhood sea witch. 

she hadn’t really been banished from your kingdom, mostly because she knew she wasn’t welcome so she just kept to herself. 

but she thought, hey! if i help the ruler’s kid get back to the kingdom, maybe they’ll realise im Not So Bad and accept me. 

so she takes you in, makes sure you’re safe, and helps you find your way back .

UR FATHER, however, freaks the hell out and starts going off about how,

“This wicked sea witch tried to KIDNAP my child! How dare you! You are Banished” 

so , the sea witch does what literally Every Other Disney Villain would do. 

she puts a curse on you before the king tosses her out on her ass.

This curse,  however. 

when you fall in love, you’ll turn into a human so you can’t Be with them. (because yknow everyone thought you’d fall in love with some Beautiful Mermaid Royalty) 

so while you’re swimming home,

taeil, doyoung and taeyong volunteering to be your escorts, making sure u get home safe and sound.

(you didnt really need them but those boys are Stubborn and also wanted 2 see what your kingdom looks like) 

but because they’re there you don’t really need to stay with ur dad; you’re old enough & ugly enough 2 take care of yourself and show your friends your favourite parts of the journey back

but suddenly you’re finding it really hard to breathe and swimming is Really difficult

and something is Horribly, horribly wrong. 

so you grab whatever you can which happens to be doyoung’s tail 

and he turns around like what the Hell. 

Oh, shit. 

he’s yelling for the other boys 2 help you and ur dad is too far ahead to hear whatever is going on.

so the boys take it upon themselves 2 save U. 

and they’re swimming back to the beach as fast as they can and they get to shore and luckily! 

Johnny is sitting there, looking out at the ocean wondering if he’ll ever see you again. 

and doyoung is just Yelling at him

“DO U HAVE TOWELS GET SOME TOWELS DO U KNOW CPR!!!!!!!!!!” 

so johnny has no idea what the Heck is going on but he runs to get towels, helps the boys wrap you up and take you to the lifeguard hut 

where johnny puts u on the sofa and he’s like , desperately trying 2 get u to wake up. doing cpr and whatever else he can .

like he has no idea whats going on but you’re here and you’re not breathing and he’s panicking because like, he can’t lose you??? He can’t. He Wont. 

and its been what seems like fOREVER but you’re finally! coughing up water and you can breathe again and you’re feeling Very lightheaded and dizzy but all you can really think about is. 

that Johnny’s face is hovering over yours and he looks like he’s about to throw up but then he sees your eyes open and he has Never 

felt this much relief in his Life! 

and before you can even Process what the hell is going on, he’s leaning in closer and you’re kind of trying to figure out what’s going on but! 

he already has his arms wrapped around you so tight, never ever wanting to let go because 

he could live with himself knowing you were out there, alive with the slightest chance of coming back to visit him 

but he would never be able to bear it if you were gone forever .

so he just keeps you in his arms for a Very Long time, whispering in ur ear how scared he was, that he thought he’d lost you. 

the other boys have left u alone, yuta and doyoung arguing outside

“i TOLD U love at first sight was real!”

“shut up yuta they almost DIED” 

“he saved them! he saved them with true loves first kiss” 

“he literally gave them cpr” 

but ignoring those 2 bickering.

u and Johnny are just. holding each other and. you can’t explain it but it feels Right that you’re with him

and he is just so happy that you’re alive and okay. 

and everything just feels like it’s falling into place. 

and before anything else happens you’re just . kissing him .

and he’s kissing you back.

and it all just feels so Perfect.

Could u do wanna one as college students? (like their major and what activities they'd be into)

im from australia so this is gonna be more university than college sorry i only know college stuff from movies lmao

this became a really dumb highschool musical/glee au where they all go to the same uni and meet after being forced into the annual musical and all become close through the production and sing a song about friendship at the end. also this got way too long so im putting it under the cut.

Jisung: so his parents wanted him to do something ‘proper’ with his life after he spent 2 years after highschool on a gap year and just kinda messing around. So he goes to uni and does a year of Medicine cause thats what his parents want. Is pretty good at it but doesnt enjoy it. So drops out of that and tries journalism. Does that for a couple of years and still isnt that into it. Tries a bunch of different majors until he settles on teaching. And loves it. Is now on his way to becoming a teacher and is one of the best in his course. Loves helping kids and teaching his students. Is also on the student council and support team for students who need help with studies and is organising this years musical. 

Sungwoon: Finished highschool and had no idea what he wanted to do. Took a 1 year gap year where he just kinda slacked off. Parents told him he either had to get a job and move out or go to uni. Decided on the latter. Started a degree in media and communication but spends majority of his time with taehyun going to wild parties and trying to meet girls. After his first year realises hes not gonna be able to graduate if he keeps this up so he tries to get himself together. Starts getting really interested in all his lectures and is now on his way to becoming a journalist. Taehyun signs him up for the musical without his knowledge cause he wants him to show off his voice. 

Minhyun: Grew up with Jong, Minki and Dongho and they all promised they were going to go to same Uni and keep studying together. Acceptance letters came out and only Minhyun got in. He didnt want to go on his own until Jong convinced him it was the best thing for his future. Studying Law and is top of his class. Spends most of his time alone, studying because apart from when he meets up with the other 3, he doesnt have any Uni friends. Is told by Minki to go out and find some friends by joining a club so decides to sign up for the musical theatre club cause he feels sorry for this tiny freshman named Daehwi whos begging people to audition for his musical. 

Ong: A film major. First started off as an actor but realised his true passion lay in making and studying films. Is able to go to parties and stay on top of his grades. Is always the most fun to have in tutorials, his lecturers and tutors love him. Goes around making friends with everyone and asking if theyd like to appear in one of his films. Everyone knows him and everyone loves him. Decided to film the making of the musical for his next project until Jisung tells him he could audition for the main role if he wanted. Tries it out and gets the role. 

Jaehwan: Studying music on a scholarship. Won the scholarship out of 1000 applicants. Loves writing music and singing. Has a job as a barista at a local on campus cafe and performs there with his guitar on weekends. Not too good at the actual studying part but his talent is what keeps him from flunking. Has a bit of a rivalry with Sewoon but they eventually end up becoming very close and start writing music together. Is recruited by Daehwi to compose the soundtrack for the musical and gives in after Sewoon thinks itd be fun. Daehwi hears him singing the songs one day and tells him that he has to appear in the show because they need his voice. Is very nervous and reluctant but Jisung convinces him. 

Daniel: Was kinda a fuckboy in highschool, spent his days at the skatepark and going to parties with his friends. Matured a lot when he got into Uni cause his parents were paying for it and he knew he couldnt let them down. Is studying to be a Vet because he wants to work with animals (cats) and help them. Volunteers at the local animal shelter on weekends and has a part time job at the pet store. Works super hard at his studies but also takes time off to hang out with his friends. Went to the same highschool as Jisung and was friends with him so Jisung asks if he can help out with set production and backstage work. Daehwi sees him practising the dance while hes working and asks if he wants a part in the show. Decides to try it out. 

Jihoon: Was a fashion major. Got kicked out after his first semester. Decided to try out psychology and is strangely good at it. Keeps psychoanalysing his friends to the point where its creepy. Went to the same highschool as Jinyoung and is best friends with him. They’re both freshmen and live in the same dorms together. Was hoping to be roommates with him but no got put with some ‘stupid Samuel kid.’ They do not like each other and living together is tense. Jinyoung teases him saying that he likes Samuel. Jihoon aggressively denies that. Jihoon finds out that Samuels auditioning for the musical and auditions as well just to spite him. Gets one of the main roles and beats Samuel to it. Feels really bad so asks Daehwi if they can rotate the roles. Becomes a lot closer with Sam after that.

Woojin: A bit like Jaehwan where hes on a scholarship but for Dance. Was very shy to begin with, kept to himself and wasnt really friends with anyone. A lot of his classmates envy his dance skills. Works part time at a fastfood place on his free days. Volunteers at a kids dance school on weekends as a dance teacher. Stuggles with his studies so is recommended to go see a student helper which turns out to be Jisung. He helps him a lot and his grades pick up and Jisung asks if he’d like to audition for the musical cause the dance is fun. Woojin accepts and starts coming out of his shell once on the team. 

Jinyoung: Studying literature as a freshman but might possibly change since he has no idea what hes doing in his life. Does some amateur modelling in his spare time which he could make a career out of if he wanted but is too shy initially. Best friends with Jihoon and constantly teases him. Lives in the dorm with Daehwi and by consequence was already signed up to the musical through the ‘Roommate Code.’ Actually really happy to be part of the show and realises he really likes performing.

Daehwi: A freshman studying Musical Theatre. Was top of his class in highschool, main role in every drama production, part of the choir, orchestra, dance club. Wants to be on broadway some day. Volunteered to direct the musical and organise auditions. Is desperate for people to actually audition to recruits Jisung whos friends with a lot of students. Is the one who initially takes the show the most seriously, annoyed when others slack off during rehearsals. Didn’t think he was going to be able to pull it off but when opening night comes around, cries with pride and joy. 

Guanlin: An exchange student from Taiwan. Studying International Studies, so politics and languages. Doesn’t know what he wants to do yet. In the dorms with his roommate Seonho who shows him all around campus and the local area. They both help each other with studying and often go to the library together to work on projects. Seonho signs them both up for almost every club and so every day after classes they go along to some sort of new meeting. Seonho saw Minhyun signing up for the musical on club day and decided they should sign up too, even though Guanlin points out that neither of them can sing or dance. Guanlin ends up passing the audition whereas Seonho doesnt. Guanlin says he’ll drop out but Seonho instead signs up to work backstage so he can keep in contact with them all.

a/n: HIHI so i decided to start a new series which is gonna be a sweet and short one called first meeting! AU with the wanna one members. since it’s really only going to cover your first meeting with the particular member, it’s up to you whether you want to interpret it as romantically or platonic friendship, maybe if the context suits and i get enough requests i could do a part 2 for some in the future? we’ll see but i will be prioritising getting each member done first. but anyways i hope you guys enjoy this first one of my precious baby lee daehwi and look forward to the rest of the members :) 

so you’re in high school 

and ever since high school started you became best friends with a girl called somi 

you guys had different personalities, you were more on the shy side and she was more outgoing 

but somehow you guys clicked and found that you guys had a lot of things to talk about and common interests 

also during this time produce 101 is airing and you’re absolutely addicted to the show 

and lee daehwi, the first centre literally swooped you off your feet 

he was no doubt your bias and you’d been voting for him like crazy everyday 

and ofc since somi was your best friend you’d always rant about how cute and talented lee daehwi was and somi would just sigh and roll her eyes sometimes 

well one day at school your class is given a project to be completed in pairs and obviously you and somi are a pair 

usually you two would complete your work at the library but since the weather was really horrible 

you guys decided to head to your place over the weekend 

and you guys do that except you dont get the work done 

so you guys decide to go to somi’s place sometime after school next week to finish it 

and tbh you’ve been very curious about where somi lives

even though you guys are best friends you guys always met either in public or at your place

you were just super curious as to what her house was like and why she was lowkey secretive about where she lived

so the day before going to somi’s place

you guys are having lunch at school and somi is suddenly like: “oh y/n when you come tomorrow, my twin brother will most likely be home visiting” 

and u r like

“WAIT HANG ON A SECNOD U HAVE A TWIN BROTHER?? SINCE WHEN???” you semi yell when you stand up from your seat 

you are surprised and shocked bc ur friend has a twin brother and she never told you 

“ssHHHHH be quiet” says somi gesturing you to sit back down 

and so you do and say

“how come you didnt tell me somi?” while pouting 

“well…i guess you never asked whether i had siblings or not” replies somi nervously 

“hmm yeah fair enough, well what its like having a twin brother? what’s he like” you ask excitedly

you’d  never met anyone that had a twin before and u suddenly find out that your best friend in fact has a twin brother which makes you feel kinda weird and excited 

“it’s alright, we’re just like any other sibling pair, he can be slightly annoying sometimes but he’s a good brother overall. i miss him” replies somi looking down 

“ohhhhh where is he? does he go to high school here?” you asked wondering if somi’s twin was actually at your school and completely hidden from u 

“no he doesn’t”

“where does he go then? and what’s his name? what does he look like?” you asked bombarding somi with questions as you were super curious now

since somi was one of the prettiest girls in the school you were lowkey thinking maybe somi’s twin is really hot HAHA

“i actually can’t say his name but he’s really ugly” says somi laughing

“why not????” you ask somi, “is he a spy or something?? with a hidden identity???” 

somi shook her head laughing at you as you continued to pester her about her twin 

“you’ll see tomorrow when you come over” says somi “i think things might change when you see who it is” as she sighs

now you were C U R I O U S as to why somi kept it so secret 

and for some odd reason, who somi’s twin brother was was all you thought about for the rest of the day 

your thoughts went wild as you thought, what if he’s actually a spy? or illegal? a criminal? someone dangerous? what if he’s the youngest ceo in our country?

and for some seriously odd reason you were excited to meet somi’s twin brother 

the next day you head to somi’s house with the address typed in google maps 

you rang the doorbell and somi opened the door

as you stepped in you saw how the house wasn’t too big nor was it too small it was quite spacious and clean and very cozy 

you saw some baby pictures placed up on a shelf of somi and her twin; you recognised somi easily and the twin brother was really cute too 

you guys take a seat on the big couch and start working on the project when suddenly you hear footsteps come down the stairs 

you were super focused on your work tbh so you didn’t look up 

until a voice says 

“hey sis is this your friend that always talks about me?” 

and the voice is SO FAMILIAR 

and you’re suddenly afraid to look up 

you do recognise that voice but no way it just couldn’t be 

silence 

“yep it is” says somi, “look at the state she is in now” 

your entire body was frozen and wouldn’t react and you were looking at the ground

“she’s so cute like that” says the voice

you feel your cheeks go bright red and your heart suddenly beating extraordinarily fast 

you close your eyes and tell yourself you are dreaming 

you take a deep breath and look up 

and you are met with a pair of the most gorgeous eyes you have ever seen; one eye was monolid and the other was double lidded but honestly that was what was attractive about him 

it was truly lee daehwi lmao sorry i made it so so dramatic haha

he was smiling down at your with the sweetest and cutest smile 

“hello y/n! it’s nice to finally meet you!” says daehwi cheerfully 

“u-h-h hello– daehwi-ssi” you stutter nervously as you die internally 

daehwi laughed and his laughter was like a beautiful melody

“no need to be formal y/n, we’re the same age! you don’t look great right now, i’ll grab a glass of water for you” says daehwi as he heads to the kitchen 

when he’s gone you turn to somi straight away 

“DUDE WHY DIDNT U TELL ME DAEHWI WAS UR BROTHER?? i wouldn’t have fangirled over him to you and its sooooo embarrassing” 

“chill y/n it was actually pretty funny, you totally have a crush on my twin, look at ur face” says somi laughing 

“sTOP omg this is all ur fault im so embarrassed, i embarrassed myself in front of my bias” you say as your bury your face in your hands

“seriously y/n this is your chance to talk to him and i don’t usually say this about that idiot but he’s actually a very nice guy, so don’t be nervous anymore” 

you take deep breaths and try to collect yourself before daehwi comes back 

when he does you’re much calmer even though you still feel like you are living in a dream 

“here’s your water” says daehwi as he hands over the glass of water

both your finger trips lightly made contact and you felt your heart racing again 

“thanks daehwi” you say giving him a shy smile 

he asks what the project is about and starts helping you guys and in no time you guys are done 

and daehwi is super friendly and outgoing so in no time you get really comfortable around him

and realise that HES JUST A REALLY NICE AND KIND HUMAN like any human and not some “far unreachable star that’s like a god” 

you find out he has cute habits and loves cleaning and fashion and wants to make people happier through his music

you guys talk for the next two hours getting to know each other and you tell him that you’ll continue to support him on produce 101 and he’s super thankful 

at this rate somi had literally fallen asleep and is taking a nap on the sofa 

he opens up about how it’s hard to meet people’s expectations and that he doesn’t want to disappoint others and you guys have really deep conversations 

and in no time it’s already dark outside 

and daehwi even offers to walk you to the bus stop 

and he puts on a black hoodie with the hood up just in case ppl recognise him anyone watching school 2017 bc i love x’s outfit hehe

you guys reach the bus stop

“y/n it was nice meeting you and i was able to get my mind off things thanks to you” 

“no worries daehwi, i’m so glad to have met you and you’re just as wonderful and kind as i’d imagined you to be” you reply cringing at your own cheesiness

daehwi laughs again as he ruffles your hair “you’re so kind too” 

“anyways y/n will you do me a favour and not tell anyone that i am somi’s twin? i dont want things to get hard for her if people know about our sibling relationship” 

you swoon, he was even so nice to his sister 

you nod “of course”

the bus comes and you guys wave goodbye 

you couldn’t believe that you met daehwi and got so close to him 

he was so nice and down to earth 

you lowkey wondered if you’d ever be able to see him again since he was already famous and busy with filming 

you convinced yourself that he was probably this nice to everyone and you were really lucky because you were his sister’s best friend 

suddenly your phone buzzed and you received a message from an unknown number 

“hello y/n, it’s daehwi - i got your number from somi. that’s okay right? next week i’ll be back in town again, so do you wanna hang out? just the two of us this time ;)”
