“Everyone please welcome Y/B/N to the stage!” you heard bill say, screams drowning out his voice.

You walked out with a huge smile on your face, the screams only getting louder as you stood right next to bill.

It has now been the 3rd performance that you would be doing ever since your manager told you that your band would be going on tour with one of the most popular pop rock (ik they have multiple genres but i had to pick one 😭) band groups of the year.

Although your bands style was more of an indie pop, you were still excited to say the least. You did some research on the band members before going in tour just to know how they are, and from what you saw they looked like awesome people, and you couldnt wait to go on tour with them.

While researching you did develop a small tiny crush on the bands guitarist seeing how good he was at playing, and also incredibly hot. But you did keep that to yourself, not wanting any awkwardness to happen between you two.

When you first met them you instantly became friends with all of them, although your friendship with tom was a bit flirty you didnt mind, you actually enjoyed every second of it.

“Hello everyone!” You said, smiling. “My band, Y/B/N and Tokio hotel have made a song for you guys, so here it is!” you said, gripping onto your mic a little tighter, as you got more nervous.

You backed up a bit as bill started to sing, Although you have already performed two times you still got a bit nervous as you’ve never had a big crowd like this one.

Sure you had lots of fans but combined with Tokio Hotels fans was crazy, but you just looked at tom, as he gave you a smile making you feel a bit less nervous.

Your turn was starting to come up so you walked up a bit closer to bill, starting to sing along with him.

You both smiled while singing, facing away from bill leaning on him as he leaned on you.

The nerves you felt were long gone by now as you were having fun, every little chance that you got, you looked at tom, even giving him a small wink.

You continued to sing until you and bill let out a scream, ending the song. (Ig think abt how schrei kinds ends, omg i love bills voice in that AHH)

There was screaming as you looked at your band members giggling and giving everyone a hug, once you reached tom he took you in with a smirk on his face, giving you a small peck on your cheek.

Once you got off of the stage you were blushing non stop, your band members even teasing you, calling you a tomato.

Once you were back in your own personal space, wiping off your makeup, you heard a small knock on the door.

“Come in!” You said, continuing to wipe your makeup off, then setting it down, turning to look at who was there.

“Oh! Tom.. hey!” You said, blushing. He noticed you were and walked over to you, putting his arms around your waist.

“You did amazing out there.” He said, placing a small kiss on your neck.

You laughed nervously, and whispered a small thank you.

You felt him smirk against your skin, causing you to bite your lip. You grabbed his chin, lifting it up to face you as you attached your lips onto his quickly without even thinking about it.

He moved his hands further down your waist, moving them closer to your lower back. The kids getting deeper and deeper until you were interrupted by a loud knock on the door.

“Alright you two, lets hurry up in there so we can all get dinner!” You heard from behind the door.

You blushed and placed your hands on toms shoulders, “maybe we should continue this later..” you said, letting out a small giggle.

He chuckled and nodded, removing his arms from your waist, “ill see you in a bit.” He said, winking at you and walking out.

You giggled and let out a deep sigh once the door closed, you sat down and started blushing like crazy thinking about the kiss.

Sure you have only known tom for about more than two months but you were falling for him, and the kiss was only making it worse..

i never liked valentine’s day. it was always a stupid ass holiday if i do say so myself. am i saying that bc i never had a good valentine ? …maybe so, why are you so nosy ?? anyways, that was before i met him, min yoongi. i never met a man who says he hates a holiday so much but also goes all out for it. our first valentines last year i expected him to not really get me anything or like a bouquet of flowers since it wasn’t that much…i got a bouquet alright, like seven of them (he had said he didn’t know which one i would like so he just got me all of the ones he thought i would want), plus a shit ton of chocolate and just little things like one of his hoodies and this ring i had been eyeing for like months beforehand. so much for “valentines day isn’t really my thing” right ? all men do is lie, even min yoongi.

okay but anyways, here we are now, a year later. i wanna prove myself this year, i refuse to be out-valentines’d by him, no matter what that takes. now just one problem, he’s rich, i work at a coffee shop. shit, i know right ? but we will make it work i don’t care. 

so have i had this planned out for the last two months like a gta heist ? yes. but i NEED this day to go perfect. did it ? NO. NO IT DIDNT. first the necklace i got him with his name won’t be ready until the 17th, and then the kiss hoodie i was working on for him GETS BLEACHED SPILLED ON HIM, curtesy of our cat, johnny, and then; if it wasn’t going awful anyway, the cupcakes i made for him burned. and i’m going to his studio as we speak…this is my thirteenth reason. so right now all we have is his favorite flowers, a bleached hoodie with my kisses and a book of poems i wrote for him, sigh. SIGH. and if it didn’t help, he already gave me half of my gift before he left and it’s ten times better. A ROSE GOLD NECKLACE, he got me a rose gold encrusted with the sun because “i’m the sun to his moon”, he makes me wanna bash my head sometimes from how sweet he is. 

so getting to his studio, the definition of “shaking in my little boots”. i can hear him practicing his music from outside his studio, it’s like walking into beethoven working on smth if beethoven was your 30 year old idol boyfriend for a kpop group, if that makes sense, which is doesn’t so. anyways, i put in the code for his studio (it’s our anniversary, excuse me while i cry.) and quietly walk in to not disturb him, which isn’t that hard since he has tunnel vision as he invented it, and quietly tap his shoulder gently to get his attention. he turns around, taking off his headphones and noticing me with a small smile on his face, which might as well have been a kiss from him then and then. 

“hey love, happy valentine’s day, what are you doing here ?”, god why does he have to have such a perfect voice; it’s like he doesn’t even have to try. i go on to give him to give him his gift and try to explain that i had much more to give him and i knew it wasn’t enough to give and- and he cuts me off. good job if i do say so myself because the yapping i do, i could win a medal. 

“honey honey, this is perfect…you didn’t even have to get me anything, and you wrote me poems…that’s like writing me a song, this means the world to me. you remembered my favorite flowers, and this hoodie..i don’t think i’ve ever gotten a gift like this from anyone before, not even the guys. thank you so much…”, and my heart just turns into a puddle then and there. all my worries gone in a second, how does he do it ? he really should’ve become a therapist in another life, but i guess he does that with his music. but anyways, did i expect him to like the gift ? absolutely not. i did try to pay for dinner that night and he still didn’t let me do it, saying it was “an extra gift” as if i needed anymore gifts. remind me next to try and not outgift a rich idol who’s secret love language is definitely gift giving.

raiden really loves valentine's day bc it gives him extra reason to show his appreciation for the people he loves in his life- he always hand makes cards and folds origami pieces for his bfs to find around the house- he went all out one year and made each of them a jar full of paper stars

johnny and kung lao's favorite holiday is halloween!! they go all out for costumes and always decorate the house to match- johnny even hires smaller actors to dress up and play characters outside with him and lao to have fun with the kids- they have a scare actor section and a section for cartoon characters

kenshi's favorite holiday is christmas!! he doesnt have a lot of fond memories from childhood, but after johnny first asked kenshi to celebrate christmas with him, oh that man was hooked- johnny was happy to see kenshi beam all throughout december, holding warm mugs and wrapped in blankets since the cold always got to him

jax and johnny still have this kind of strange rivalry, esp when kenshi is around- kenshi thinks it's funny bc most of the time it's them trying to out do each other with history facts, but both just end up having a nice convo.... it's the only time kenshi can get paperwork done without headaches

lao and raiden still have mini bets they place with each other all the time- half the time kenshi and johnny find out abt them bc lao brags abt winning- raiden bets poorly on purpose sometimes bc he knows lao likes to win and it only costs him a little..... sometimes he humbles lao, though (the superbowl is the biggest bet of the year for them)

raiden isnt known to swear, but his favorite song is "I Don't Fuck With You" by Big Sean (thanks kung lao) and he can be heard singing the lyrics, uncensored and all, randomly

kenshi can very easily peel or cut any kind of fruit- apples, oranges, pomegranates, persimmons, pineapple, watermelon, anything- if he is handed a fruit and asked to cut it he will and it will be fast and done beautifully

raiden has johnny do his hair!! braids is usually the most common style outside of his bun, but johnny always insists on doing his hair if they're going out-

kenshi has lao help him cut his hair!! lao does his own undercut and knows his way around a buzzer/clippers- the first time lao asked to cut kenshi's hair the swordsman was unsure, but he decided it wouldnt hurt and lao did it perfectly and has done it since

johnny has a cameo on a sooby doo episode!! he somehow convinced them to put him in an episode with the hex girls and it actually was so awesome-

johnny is super good with puzzles- like insanely good- kenshi, lao, and raiden just started getting him those really fancy puzzle boxes for christmas/his bday and he's cracked every single one without fail-

they have board game nights!! monopoly and uno have been banned- but when everyone is over their favorite game to play is 'one night ultimate werewolf'

for several years johnny has done a Santa Livestream on his insta and has donated a lot of money to charities that buy gifts for kids in need as well as done fundraisers to get others to chip in too- he got tomas, syzoth, kuai liang, lao, and raiden to help him keep people entertained on the live- kenshi even agreed to do a "face reveal" if they hit ten million in a day- they hit the goal in six hours

raiden and tomas are actually pretty close as friends- both bond over their combat abilities and their lives in general, and both have dragged the other into different media- now they watch episodes of different series' weekly and talk over the phone about it- their bf's know better than to interrupt them on the phone with each other

lao is the only Only Child in their polycule- raiden has his sister, johnny his brother, and i hc kenshi as having an older sister and a younger brother-

johnny will randomly start dancing, sometimes bc he just has a song stuck in his head, other times bc he just needs to move- his bf's always smile when they catch him- the most extreme move any of them have seen him do is drop into a split

none of them are fond of using their powers for silly or stupid reasons... however, each of them have definitely used their powers in a way they werent supposed to- kenshi has for sure used his telekenesis inappropriately, raiden has used his lightning to cook smth, kung lao has used his force/air manipulation to throw things at ppl, and johnny uses his weird shadow powers (give him his green back ]:) to scare his bfs-

johnny owns the house, bc it's a five bedroom, six and a half bath, super expensive house- it gives each of them their own room and then a shared room with a big asf bed, a nnice kiving room, incredible kitchen, big dining room for guests, a wine cellar, in home gym, etc- literally a second mansion-

as soon as anyone gets sick, raiden makes chicken congee- he got the recipe from madam bo after he told her him and lao were moving to stay with johnny for a while- she was happy to give him the recipe and even showed him how to de-bone a whole chicken for it

johnny is actually so interested in tarantulas- he thinks they look super cool and that some of the colors and patterns are really pretty- if kenshi and lao werent as insect averse he would definitely get one

lao's favorite reptile (after syzoth) is the arabian sand boa (pls google these guys, they're adorable-)

kenshi really loves reptiles and has always wanted a leopord gecko or a hognose snake- but he fears not having enough time for one with work and his bf's

johnny very lovingly refers to raiden as his wife after kenshi made a joke abt johnny "wife-ing" him by making him his favorite meal- raiden always gets flustered bc johnny is very open abt opening an LLC with them all as a kind of "poly marriage loophole"-

they all have jewelry that they wear as sort of "promise" jewelry that they almost never take off- johnny has his silver bracelet/band, kenshi has a steel ring, raiden has an anklet, and lao has a necklace

johnny, to his personal assistant and manager, refers to his bf's as "The Council" and always answers scheduling questions with "i'll have to consult with The Council"- it's rubbed off on the other three which has to led to raiden telling liu kang he cant give him a firm answer bc he has yet to "speak with The Council" (liu got flashbacks to "I Must Consult With the Elder Gods-")

johnny makes the worst jokes abt US tragedies- the jfk assassination is his personal fave bc he knows he can mess with kenshi with it- "it blows my mind that you can be so childish, cage-" "yknow who else got his mind blown-" "JOHNATHAN CARLTON-"

lao still has his first chakram hat and it's hung up in the mansion living room- all of them will stare at it or remember it's there and think back to lao telling the story of his Inspiration (thanks bi han)

raiden really loves smoothies, especially mango- he will down a mango smoothie if you hang him one-

johnny has all kinds of videos on his phone of all of them doing stupid shit- his favorites are one of kenshi drunkenly eating takoyaki out of the fridge, turning to face the camera with his cheeks full- one of raiden mumbling "i dont fuck with you" under his breath, panning to lao and kenshi who look at raiden like he just vacuumed their hamster- and one of lao dancing for a good minute, really, really well, just to trip at the very end and scream-

johnny has a lot of those videos and goes through them whenever he misses his bf's

raiden will send videos of cats playing or napping together and caption them "us" and send them to whoever or to the gc- all of his bf's always melt and go to find him and give him a kiss if they're in the house together or they'll send back a little emoji if they're apart

you'd think johnny is the worst but kenshi is the most overdramatic abt not getting attention- like "my husband is off to war" levels of dramatic- lao had to get up to use the bathroom and kenshi sighed like a sickly victorian, put his hand over his forehead and monologued until lao came back- he does the same to raiden and johnny, always "why has my love left me?? i am always abandoned by my dearest... beloved, where have you gone? why have you forsaken me??" "i need to pee, ken-" "am i so unimportant?? so easily forgotten???? so unloved??????" "🙄✋️ okay-"

johnny isnt as dramatic but he does pout and sigh and sometimes follow his bf's around until they love on him a little- johnny needs the little pick-me-up's but kenshi normally waits until he needs a full battery recharge

the four of them talk shit like there's no tomorrow- you do not want to be on the recieving end of their judgemental staring- each of their side eyes alone could kill someone, all of them together??? good fuckin luck-

johnny is mesmerized by the snow- kenshi, raiden, and lao all grew up with it, but johnny isnt used to it since he was born and raised in CA and enjoys the sunny weather- so when kenshi or lao and raiden take him to japan or china during the snowy season he's always so excited- the other three love it bc his cheeks get so pink in the cold

raiden gets super flustered when one of them gives him affection and attention, but all three are evil and will pile affection and attention on him to watch him squirm and act all shy- raiden loves it but also knows to tell them when he's overwhelmed

lao knows all of his bf's humor and how to make them laugh- johnny and kenshi laugh at lao's darker jokes- johnny especially likes anti-jokes- raiden likes puns and "a ____ walked into a bar-" type jokes- kenshi also cant help but laugh at people doing stupid things and kenshi and raiden laugh together at children falling- (older sibling moment)

raiden gets super lovey sometimes and will write out in letters how he feels about his bf's and slide them under their doors- all of them have a drawer or folder or smth that stores all of the letters

lao is the only one with a real sleep schedule- he's a morning person and goes to bed by 10 almost every night- raiden tends to get distravted watching tv, and kenshi and johnny tend to overwork themselves and work into the night and wee hours

sleep is usually tough for all of them anyway (lao takes melatonin to be asleep early) bc of all that they've seen and experienced- they all like congregating in their shared room to sleep together but sometimes they go off to their own rooms when they need/want the privacy or peace

(Now I say "low-ranking", but it doesn't mean they're weak. They're just... really bad at their job. They can fight, but they're a little too brutal for the public eye. Breaking bones, etc..

So the hero committee says they are too violent to move up the ranks. Ironic, considering that they are the only hero that doesn't kill villains. The other heroes do much worse all the time-- they just keep it under wraps.)

Anyway, maybe the hero has some nullification power. Siren's voice doesn't work on them, so they end up duking it out in a good old fashioned fistfight.

Unless its the hero's lunch break. they only work when they have to.

eventually, when one gets a call about the other and an order to go deal with them, neither knows whether its going to be a snog-in-the-alleyway kind of day or a beat-each-other-to-a-pulp kind of day until they lock eyes.

okay i kind of went crazy down below but i love this concept SO much

enemies AND lovers is SOOO powerful. i feel like siren would have a complex about anyone who cant be affected by his power naturally bc on one hand, it pisses him off, but on the other hand, he LOVES it because it allows him to feel secure in knowing they will never think he’s manipulated them and he’ll never have the option to (id imagine growing up, he found it hard to make connections because people who knew his power and didn’t understand it would find it hard to trust him)

i love the idea too of their very first meeting. hero reader is brand new, spiffy, ready to tackle any challenges! and who do they get? literally one of the three top ranking heros. and yeah they’re terrified but they agreed to this so they get ready to fight and siren just is not having it and simply tries to command them and reader is like *oh fuck…wait.* and they both have this mutual realization that he cant use his power and immediately in siren’s eyes. they are rivals. siren manages to get away without any fight due to the shock and processing they both have, but the hero committee quickly hears about it and is PISSED because, from the media’s view, hero reader didnt even try. which is why next time the hero just gets aggressive and physical and the hero committee ALSO gets pissed again and reader is just like ????? already so done with this shit but they’re on a contract fuck.

but oh thats when siren catches them. they’re not really paying attention to patrolling, still pissed off and reeling from the meeting with the hero committee, so it isnt hard for siren to come up behind them and get them pinned down. and he’s all cocky and talking shit, and reader is too tired to actually fight him or be angry, so siren is like. something is wrong here, i want a reaction. so he switches to flirting. and oh boy does that do the trick. and reader is so tired theyre just like. fuck the hero committee. fuck everything. im going to have fun. and they end up making out in the dark alleyway until siren gets called away by the syndicate.

and the song and dance continues, either fighting or making out (though siren does note that the fighting tends to happen more when the media is involved) hero learns more abt the syndicate and is like honestly i cant even hate them bc the hero committee IS bullshit and the committee is up their ass about needing to be better, constantly needing to be better and fight more and help more people, and they let out some stress with thanatos, but it’s more of a “beat each other up until we’re exhausted and can relax” type of fight until hero accidentally knocks him completely cold because his head hit a brick wall. and they look up and the camera definitely caught that. a text about being fired comes quickly, but honestly they dont even care, they’re more just worried that this person is okay, and so they grab his ear piece and tell nemesis what happened and nemesis is like “okay, im going to trust you only because you just got fired. here’s the cafe’s address, ill tell our healer and have someone meet you there” and so hero brings him to the cafe for tommy to heal, and siren is there because of course he’d be there, but it’s for two main reasons: making sure the hero keeps this place a secret, and extending the offer to potentially become a villain (which he notes that they’d need to have a chat about it over dinner specifically, and it definitely is not an excuse to go on a date)

this made me aww out loud. really sweet. well i watched all quiet on the western front 2022 yesterday, a german ww1 movie about the last yr of war. and it made me think about how closely the crimes against soldiers mirror those against other working class. you’ll kill yourself in situations you dont want to be in in service of a rich motherfucker who wants to use you for their own gain. you cant get out. you’ll die in this place. now that makes me think about how my chem rags on war so vehemently. of course theyre criticizing literal war, especially a band born out of something used to start another. but i cant help reading all war songs as allegories (they even said that the ghost of you video is about relationships more than war criticism).

gun. allegorizes a soldier’s life for a touring musician’s — never gonna have a son (too caught up with your job to have a family), “if we’re old enough to die for your mistakes then lets go” (the RIDICULOUSLY PACKED black parade tour that frank says was so bad he was in self-medicated haze by the end — all set up by their managers), “they’re teaching me to kill who’s teaching me to love” (my chem has described performance as killing the audience. gerard lost his old life, girlfriend, home during black parade. all he knows how to do is performance… who’s teaching him to live his life?) i dont like gun. much but it delivers the same themes of every other cw song in a new way that emphasizes the exploitation they experienced. there’s this quote from the movie i mentioned “what do i know? im just a pair of boots with a rifle.” i think that’s exactly the point of gun. pair of tight pants with a mic.

mama genuinely i didnt even know was about war until a few weeks after listening to it. i thought it was about a gay man facing his mother’s violent homophobia. “we all go to hell” (ive thought this same thing when my mom damns others), “when we go dont blame us” (this ties in with the prev line AND with the reading that bp is about a gay man with AIDS), “baby girl etc” (there’s the common trans reading and there’s also the INVERT reading, where in early modern homosexual research gay men were thought to be women in men’s bodies), “for what youve done theyll find a place to adjust your mind” (conversion), “there’s shit that ive done with this fuck of a gun” (OK this is the line that had me convinced mama was about a gay person. fuck = sex = physical sex = dick = phallic = gun. OK!!! this is about gay sex). as a note on the song as a whole, i ADORE its tone. it isnt fully self-hating, not fully self-accepting. it’s a complicated mix of these black parade themes that is super super fun and super in tune with the complicated life of a queer person. a comic tragedy!

i don't remember the exact year i got introduced to Sonic Mega Collection Plus (the PS2 version, since that's the console that only dominated my kid years) but it was a constant force of good in my early years. being able to play that many sonic games just freely (on top of other games that werent sonic games but were by the same devs) was so fucking nice. but the menu shit was just. something else to me-they put so much care and effort into the presentation of games!!! like the journey TO playing was even a nice comfy ride! so CASH. i miss THIS sega so much. what an era. damn.

many a memory playing this shit or watching it get played either in my shared bedroom w/ my older brother or in the upstairs living room w/ mom and/or grandma watching (this sonic shit ran in the family pmuch LOL my parents n grandma got into em before we did). one of my fondest memories regarding it was my i think, longest-running active friend lyko/khaliq seeing my i think oldest sibling playing S3&K (one of the greatest. games of all time by the way) and beating it. bro saw the ending cutscene and was Flabbergasted w how cool it was, already riding off the high (that i was also riding off of) watching Doomsday Zone get played. tell me abt ur angel oc guy kelo!!

CLAPS HANDS TOGETHER. PREPARE YOURSELF

kelo is a fairly old oc (2017-2018) but didnt actually start growing into himself until 2019-2021. his real personality/backstory was just decided on a whim and it kept being built up from there and im very happy with how it turned out :D

the gist of his story is that he is an angel. obviously. and he had a childhood friend named libra who died violently to a demon. so kelo grew up to join the angel military and got extremely focused on taking revenge for libra by hunting down demons and killing em. he does this for a few years and meets plenty of individuals demon, angel, and human alike (who each have their own storylines in this universe!) until eventually god decides kelo has become too full of wrath and Thats A Sin so kelo gets banished to hell. kelo is pretty notorious down there because he killed so many demons so the residents decide "yo youre an asshole so you get to be a demon too. have fun being the thing you hate!" and well he sure does hate it. hes been forsaken by his own god and now hes a demon/fallen angel so he decides he really doesnt have anything to lose and goes to kill god. he has some development but it only clicks that libra wouldnt have wanted the whole revenge quest when its far too late and hes already fighting god and actively dying. he still puts in his all to the fight and eventually dies and even though theres nothing for angels and demons when they die (for obv reasons) he still feels like he gets to symbolically be with libra again!

he is not the best guy ever and is meant to be a morally cloudy guy so hes done some Things. some of the most memorable things hes done are in a roleplay separate from his story and those include

harassing/traumatizing a friends angel oc by repeatedly calling all her friends demons and treating her like a bastion of purity simply bc shes an angel

he then shot a 10 year old with intent to kill because the 10 year old was friends with my friends angel oc and just happened to be psychic and thus a demon in his eyes

he just claims anyone whos not an angel or normal human/animal to be a demon actually and then tries to kill them regardless of anything

hes been in a few other roleplays separate from his main story and is destined to die or at least go demon mode in every timeline as my personal word of god. bullying him is a fun passtime but thinking too hard about his story makes me get all teary-eyed and stuff. also the arguably most cringe thing about him is that he has a "story" playlist of entirely ajr songs (im sorry it was ajr out of everything). like mystery skulls animated and/or vampair. but thats all i have to say abt him!

Rhysand and the gang are part of a rock band and he's the bass player (still not sure if azriel's the bass player or rhys but i do like the bass for either of them ‘cos i think they can rock the bass both and it’s such a sexy instrument and gives off this dark, cool, and sexy vibe mmmmmm)

She can play a few other instruments, too (like percussion ones and this is just a tidbit where cassian and her become fast friends because of it and tries to one up each other with their own percussive skills)

One day, as part of their ongoing tour, the band finds themselves arriving at xyz airport

Feyre also happens to there at xyz city airport to do a violin concerto later that evening

Now let's just say that feyre's violin and azriel's violin got swapped and Feyre didnt notice immediately bec. she wasnt paying attention due to being in a rush to see her sisters for brunch before going to her concert and she was running late and nesta was getting hangry

Azriel on the other hand ofc notices that a girl mistook his violin for hers immediately and was about to follow her himself but the universe suddenly gave him an emergency that needed his personal attending to which is why Rhysand volunteers to get his e. violin for his brother

Luckily their band wasnt due to play their own concert to that same day so Rhys was able to take his time tracking the girl who had Azriel's violin

Sometime later, Feyre had only noticed that the violin she had wasnt hers and planned to track down her precious baby instrument despite only having 45 mins before the concerto starts

Not letting her spiral further into panic, her friend Ressina somehow procured and lent Feyre a different violin to play for the time being and promised that she'll go find Feyre's violin at the airport on her behalf

Rhys somehow stumbled upon Ressina along the way and they finally exchanged the violins that they had but before he could go, she invited him to watch the concerto

Rhysand respected all kinds of music. Sure he wasnt the biggest fan of classical pieces but it just wasn't his cup of tea

That is until he saw Feyre playing the violin and simultaenously thought that she's the most beautiful woman she's ever seen

Truly aside from the astounding woman in front of him, he didnt have any words to describe how magnificent she was while playing the violin and was enraptured immediately as if in a trance for the whole half hour of the concerto

After the show, Rhysand didnt waste any time wanting to meet Feyre

Feyre upon seeing Rhys ofc was stunned for a few seconds with Rhysand’s beauty

Rhys thought maybe she was just starstrucked to see him knowing his band and all but he introduced himself all the same

Ressina intervened and explained Rhysand's presence and Feyre bursted into tears with happiness and gratitude hugging rhysand for returning her violin

A few mins. of small talk between the 2 revealed that Feyre didnt have a clue who he was and had no inkling of his band whatsoever (bec. feyre lives under a rock apparently)

Feyre wanted to give him a gift as a thank-you but rhysand saw the opportunity of inviting Feyre to their concert instead as a VIP since he already deemed being able to witness her wonderful performance earlier as her gift to him

Feyre accepted and ended up being a fan of the CoD after the concert and where his band mates, along with mor and amren, took an immediate liking to Feyre and quickly welcomed her as part of the CoD family

Feyre and Rhysand were clearly smitten with each other and went on dates and ended up getting married after 2 years

Silence was an foreign entity in the their musical household and the couple was glad to see that their children also took up and found solace in the music that brought these two darlings together

One thing is just that I can't see Feyre playing any instrument 😂 that's not your fault but I just headcanoned Feyre as being bad at music in my head.

I do think Feyre would love the Court of Dreams Rock music! I think she's that kind of person that doesn't have one favorite genre. I think that she went the classical way because it's how she grew up in the Archeron household but the minute she discovers different genres she's like HELL YEAH! Metal, Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, all that stuff

sooo i finally watched invader zim enter the florpus!! i was gonna wait until i finished the comics first but then i saw that apparently clembrane appears in the comics after the movie?? and i didnt want to risk getting spoiled bc yknow. the movie is when he First Appears so i thought id watch it before picking the comics back up again.

anyway, here r my thoughts on the movie down below!!

it was....pretty good!! there were a LOT of positives for me, but ultimately one major thing that i really wish could have been done better (but we'll get to that in a bit). again, i liked it, i thought it was a good movie! im gonna list all the things i especially liked followed by the things that kinda bothered me a bit so bear with me lol

positivies:

i know this is an Unpopular Opinion, but i actually rly like the art style!! i still think the show's designs r better, but i rly RLY liked how vibrant and smooth the animation was in this film. plus movies based on animated series already tend to have a slightly different art style anyway (the spongebob movies and the mlpfim movie come to mind) so i didnt mind the change. add to that the fact that this movie came out 17 years after the shows cancellation and its no wonder that jhonen vasquez's art has changed since then, plus i'd imagine there was a much bigger art/animation team this time around. anyway ofc i rly loved the part where they Enter The Florpus (lol get it) and go thru all the different art/animation styles, i loooovee stuff like that and i think every animated production should do smth like that at least once solely bc i love it so much. for me

clembrane is rly funny and i love him. im glad hes here now. dib and gaz have TWO dads

PROF. MEMBRANE WAS SO FUCKING COOL????? like omg i was NOT expecting him to be so badass in this???? when he shot the giant fucking Laser Blast out of his arms and wiped out all those robots my jaw DROPPED i was in SHOCK!!!! he was hiding all that power this whole time????? DAMN no wonder hes considered one of the most important scientists on earth

the humor was really fucking funny as always w iz LOLLLL there were multiple points that made me laugh out loud. special shoutout to the callback they made to mortos der soulstealer where zim and dib are yelling at each other and zim keeps going "WHAT????" ASKDJALSKDJ thats one of my fav jokes from the show so im glad they did that here

gir aka my fav was SOOO CUUUTEEE his stupid little peace song was so funny and adorable, i love p much everything he does in this movie as usual SDKJFLDSKJ gir my beloved

even if i have some issues w it (which we'll get to shortly), i DO like seeing that dibs family really do care for him, particularly prof. membrane. hearing him say he was proud of dib did make me smile

im not entirely sure how i feel abt the tallests canonically dying, but i do think its a funny way to kill them off and end their story. like.....ofc they die bc theyre too entitled to steer their spaceship. what else would they die from SAKFJLSDKJ

all that being said, there was one major thing that kind of bugged me a bit, as well as a few minor nitpicks.

negatives:

starting off with my biggest issue, and this might be a confusing one for some, but let me explain: in my opinion, compared to the show, this movie felt just a bit too.....sanitized? "feel-good"-ish? ....happy?? now just hear me out. a large part of what made invader zim so appealing, especially to that older tween/young teen crowd (many of whom fell into the emo subculture), is the fact that, compared to other kids cartoons at the time and even today, it was a very mean-spiritied, cynical, pessimistic show. the main protagonist is a villain trying to take over the world. his rival is the show's antagonist, so audiences may find themselves rooting against him even tho hes trying to save the world. gaz is on no one's side but her own and frequently bullies her brother and does not care what happens to zim. and it works!! thats a key factor in why so many people, myself included, like the show. it isnt afraid to have unhappy/unsatisfying endings, and there are very few "happy" moments (aside from gir, ofc, who is a fan favorite for this reason; his happiness in spite of the dark world around him is a great source of irony and genuine enjoyment). and i feel like this movie lacks a lot of that cynicism and bitterness from the show, yknow? like....i like dib and i want him to succeed, but part of his appeal is knowing that he never will, or at least not in the way he wants. we want dib's family to recognize him, we want gaz to show that she still loves him, and we want prof. membrane to say that hes proud of him. but.....invader zim is not really the type of show. i understand that this is ofc a movie for kids, but again, part of what made the show so appealing was the fact that it was so dark WHILE still being for kids. the closest thing we get to any kind of "mean-spiritedness" is the tallests deaths, which, while deserved and executed in a funny way, only happens at the end. idk i just felt like this movie was kinda....playing it "safe" compared to the show it was based on yknow. but thats just my opinion idk i swear im not one of those "WHOA look at how DARK and EDGY this show is!!! that proves that its NOT FOR KIDS" types, i just feel like the overall tone was a bit lacking compared to the source material

NOW onto the nitpicks!! these werent rly major flaws that interfered w my enjoyment of the movie, just stuff that mildly irked me (lol get it). for starters i wish tak was there :( i know she was originally planned to be in the movie but they had to cut her for time constraints which is fair. still i miss her so much. tak my beloved come back to me

another nitpick, but pretty much the only other thing that i didnt like abt this movie and its SUPER minor: i dont like how frequently gaz's eyes are open throughout this movie?? ALKSJFSDLKLKDS I KNOW THATS A WEIRD THING TO COMPLAIN ABT LMAOOOO i swear it doesnt actually bother me that much but it was kind of distracting. the reason gaz's eyes are almost always closed is to add to that angry, apathetic look she always has; it conveys her personality. when her eyes DO open, they're large and cute, which is a nice contrast to her normal appearance and makes these scenes in the show/comics have more comedic impact. here, they're open a bit too frequently for my liking, and i think it made me perceive her character differently. i think she should have been grumpier LOLLL but that kind of ties back into my first point

but errmm yeah!! despite the block of text i just wrote i still rly liked this movie!! in terms of continuations to the show, however, i think i prefer the comics, although again i have not finished reading them. i just feel like theyre closer in attitude to the original show and have a lot more interesting story ideas. but again, this movie is not bad!! there were a lot of things i rly do like abt it!! im pretty easy to please tbh.

overall id say this movie has like.....7.5/10?? maybe?? its still a good movie and id probably watch it again if given the opportunity. theres a lot of cool things about it and i did enjoy myself watching it. thats just my Onion tho, lmk what u think abt it if youve seen it :) just pls be civil if u disagree w anything i said, i like hearing other ppls perspectives on things!!
