I think I realized what my issue with Randall's portrayal in MAW is
The fact that everything that Randall does in MAW is played for laughs
Compare that to MI where Randall's actions are taken very seriously by the narrative and played for drama.
Other than at the very end where Boo hits him with a baseball bat and the Trailer lady hitting him with a shovel, Randall has almost no scenes where the audience is supposed to *intentionally* make us laugh
This was a good thing because it showed how much of an actual menace Randall was. Someone who was meant to be taken seriously as a threat
In MAW? Everything he does, there's a literal joke there. "Chet-wetter", calling everyone a "Loser", him getting hit with slime, him being electrocuted, etc...
It's really hard to take him seriously as a threat because of how much slapstick comedy he has here. He menace is completely gone
Hope S3 fixes that
good GRIEF i agreeee
when they first announced maw i was actually nervous about what would happen if randall came back, to the point where i didn't even want him to because i was scared that the show would desicrate his character. obviously i'm actually VERY happy he made an apperance again, and though he actually turned out being much better than i was anticipating for, (i was anticipating the worst) they kinda nerfed him
now as a kid when i first watched MI, randall was my fav immediately going into the movie; i was never actually scared of randall and was with him the whole time (i did NOT support the scream extractor and obviously wanted boo to be safe, i just didn't want to watch him lose or get hurt ya know) but even though i loved him so much, i remember that some of the scenes would "scare me" in the sense that i would still be like "oh randall's a legit bad guy"
like the scene when he twists mike's arms and when he called sulley STUPID PATHETIC WASTE really gave kid me a sense of just how evil and threatening he is (i'm sure the fact that "stupid" was basically a swear word to me at the time also contributed 💀)
and yes randall being hit on the head by boo and the shovel lady being made to be funny makes sense since it's his defeat scene and wouldn't be taken as seriously (these scenes actually traumatized me as a kid bc i had such an attachment to randall ⚰️⚰️) but i will say that randall did actually have some funny scenes leading up to this moment, which i think just shows how great of a villian randall is if he can still be funny and entertaining while at the same time being recognized as a dangerous threat
i think his defeat may have also suffered from the fact that he was basically reintroduced and defeated in a short time frame and he didn't have much time to make a huge impact as he could've. like it kinda felt like johnny was the big bad villain and randall was just his sidekick, which sucks because randall was such a fantastic impressionable villain in mi, even with the addition of waternoose also being there as a villain. though i enjoyed every moment he was onscreen, i feel his treatment in maw left so much more to be desired. tbh i don't think any other monsters media could ever recreate how great randall was in mi
but yeah tbh his goofy treatment in season 2 was what i was expecting from maw for randall. i'm all for randall being funny, i think he certainly likes messing around and having fun from time to time, and i think that side of him is underrated, but they don't balance it out and give him compelling scenes like they did in mi. also in mi his scenes were ordered in a way to become generally less silly and more sinister as the movie progressed, uncovering more of his true nature. not just a mischievous competitive jerk, but a monster willing to kidnap and harm children to one-up his long time rival. in maw, you can't really take him as seriously. his defeat included silly elements and phrasing, and his insults just feel so generic. like him calling mike a one-eyed cretin in mi is so much more fun than just hearing him say loser 3x
you would think he'd be more off the deep end after the events of mi. especially with mike and sulley even MORE successful than the last time he saw them, you'd think he'd go apeshit but yeah to me at least the way he mentions mike and sulley during his monologue severely undermine how much hatred he has for them
though i will say, i do like that his monologe where he spills his plan showed that he was still clever and cunning, and i also like that he's still violent like he was in mi and put up a good fight against maw since he was shown to have some pretty good combative skills. he wasn't as murderous as he was in mi but i don't expect him to be towards mift since randall doesn't have a personal vendetta against them like he does with sulley. the writers made it so randall escaped so they hopefully have much more in store for him. disney didn't treat randall like some complete pathetic loser or redeem him in a dumb way or anything so i'll give them that. but disney television studios definitely held him back and i still believe that if pixar wrote maw they'd give him something more compelling. i just hope he gets to shine more in maw season 3 and gets a more major role, especially since he'll probably be interacting with mike and sulley, who he very much has a personal vendetta against
at the least, he wasn't like he was in kh3 (why is he just letting himself in??? 😭)
#monsters inc#monsters university#monsters at work#randall boggs#randy boggs#mi#mu#maw#analysis#pixar#disney#kingdom hearts#kingdom hearts 3#i still luv u kingdom hearts randall you goofy ass#like the scene where he throws his hands up and goes why!!!!! is so silly lmao

Fav 2022 K-Dramas/Movies
1. My Liberation Notes
About: Three siblings, exhausted by the monotony of day to day adulthood, seek to find fulfillment and freedom from their unremarkable lives
Honestly, no one did it like My Liberation Notes. The way they captured the mundane lives of adults, the longing for happiness, freedom, and the loneliness of it all. The way they depicted all that through raw lines, monologues, and even silence that gave even deeper meanings. To say I love this show is an understatement 🥺
2. Extraordinary Attorney Woo
About: Woo Young Woo, a woman on the spectrum that tackles challenges as a newbie at a top law firm
This show is popular for a reason. It has everything you could ask for in a kdrama: feel good vibes, heartwarming stories, heart-fluttering love, found family, and interesting characters (with brilliant acting). Although we couldn't expect Woo Young Woo to be representative for all people with autism (since autism is considered as a spectrum), but I love the way her portrayal in this show was educative while also really fun to watch 🤍
3. Twenty Five Twenty One
About: In a time where dreams seem out of reach, a teen fencer pursues her ambitions and meets a hardworking young man who seeks to rebuilds his life.
Couldn't express how much it's comforting to watch the two main characters build connection in the pursuit of happiness. The fact that these two people share different perspectives in life (one was hopeful & optimistic, while the other one was realistic) was its charm. Not to mention the growing bond of the friendship between them and their friends. Together, they make every scene seemed refreshing and entertaining to watch. It was truly an uplifting youth show that brightened last year's atmosphere ✨
4. Alchemy of Souls
About: A powerful sorceress in a blind woman's body encounters a man from a prestigious family, who wants her help to change his destiny.
Love, love the world building of this one! Also, the gripping love stories that took "I'll love every version of you" seriously 🥺. It was captivating how observant every characters in this show were & the way they unfold the stories. Even the action scenes portrayed like an art. Therefore, even though it has many episodes with long duration, I wasn't bored at all.
5. Little Women
About: Three sisters become embroiled in a major incident and face off against the wealthiest family in the nation
The fact that two of my fave actresses (Nam jihyun & Kim goeun) casted in one kdrama was such a dream!! It's a women centric kdrama i could say, from the way the main characters, writer, & director are all women <3. I love that it has such morally grey characters and a story that's full of intriguing misteries. It kept me on the edge of my seat.
6. 20th Century Girl
About: A teen girl has her eyes set on a boy for her lovesick best friend. However, things become complicated when she falls in love and is forced to choose between love and friendship
A heartening youth stories that every fan of 2521 should watch! Again, the plot seemed cliche but it still managed to enthralled you with sweet & fun interactions between the main characters, their growing romance, and what comes for them in the future. It was a rollercoaster of emotion but I really enjoyed it to end <3
7. Business Proposal
About: Hari, a regular employee, shows up to a blind date in disguise of her rich friend to scare him away. Things go awry when he turns out to be her CEO and makes a proposal.
Normally, a kdrama with a cliche plot and some cringe lines wasn't my piece of cake. But Business Proposal is something else I guess. It managed to make even the cliche plot entertaining to watch, still. I didn't expect that I'd laugh this much while watching this show, but I did. Their actings were so fun to watch and it's such a light kdrama that i enjoyed to watch.
Addition: Fav K-Drama (Not Released in 2022) that I've Watched Last Year
Prison Playbook
About: a legendary Korean baseball player whose life change after he chases a man who harasses his sister and finds himself spending a year in prison.
This is such a gem for a slice of life genre! From the director of Hospital Playlist & Reply series, you could expect some heartwarming feels coming from every characters' background stories. Despite the serious & harsh life we could thought of from prison life, this kdrama have many comical scenes, a series of roommates bickering, & such a moving found family. I wish the director would make more of these 🥺🤍
K-Drama Recommendations: 8/?

Spring 2024 Anime watchlist
1. Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master
I've watched all 4 episodes and it's brilliant so far! I didn't expect to like it this much. I saw the trailer a while ago and I was immediately intrigued so i waited for this to come out. I wasn't disapointed in the slightest! I'm not too keen on period drama usually, but this one is so captivating.
2. Bartender: Glass of God
A big surprise. Didn't expect much other than a slice of life about a bartender, but it has actually a very interesting plot and it's so so good! I'm on episode 4, very excited for the rest of the series!!
3. WIND BREAKER
I'm definitely biased with this one because i read the manga and i got very attached to its characters! At first i wasn't so sure, the manga didn't interest me much, but i bought the first volume to give it a try and it was better than i expected. Since it's not something i'm usually attracted to, it kinda has been my guilty pleasure ever since. The anime did it justice so far so i can't wait to see more of it adapted.
4. Oblivion Battery
I'm a huge fan of sports anime, especially when it involves baseball (i love Ace of Diamond, Ookiku Furikabutte and One Outs, to name a few) so this anime was one of my most anticipated! Well, after watching all 3 episodes, i think not everyone will be into the humor and i saw some people saying they disliked Kei, but i just love it? It's hilarious and really entertaining, there's so much potential with this show, i can't wait to see more!
5. Kaiju No. 8
Well, it's a big budget "mainstream" anime, of course it will get my attention like everyone else, but it's mostly beacuse i read the first volume of the manga that i was interested to see the anime. It's fun, the classic shonen formula, no suprises here, but i enjoyed it i guess...
6. Tadaima, Okaeri
Cute anime, though i'm not a big fan of omegaverse, it's nice to watch. I needed at least one slice of life in my list and this one was the perfect addition! I like it, it's different and sweet. Nothing extraordinary, but definitely worth a watch.
7. Viral Hit
I'm watching it, but i don't know what to think about it... It's not bad, but it's a little bit weird and ridiculous. It's kinda similar to Weak Hero Class 1 and has many themes used before in the manhwa genre, though i think it delivered what it was meant to do. I'll give it a couple more episodes to be fully engaged.
8. Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc
It's not out yet, but I watched the first episode at the movie theater (it was a special release in France) like two months ago i think? It wasn't enough and nothing really happened in this episode so i'm waiting to see more once it comes out!
9. Go! Go! Loser Ranger!
I've only seen one episode. It's a new concept for me, it got my attention, but the first episode bored me a little. Maybe i wasn't really in the mood. I'll watch a second episode to form a better opinion! The concept is interesting!
Anime still airing that I'm watching:
Dungeon Meshi
I'm in love with this anime to be honest! I wasn't really sure at first because i'm not into fantasy anime, but i was truly impressed by the storytelling and the characters' journey. Definitely a must watch!
Ninja Kamui
I enjoy watching this anime, but i have to admit that they lost me with the mecha stuff. I'm still going to watch it though, and i'll totally finish it when i can. It's over next week so i'm going to watch all the remaining episodes that i still haven't watched yet.
Anime that I still have yet to start:
Black Butler: Public School Arc
The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio
GIRLS BAND CRY
Whisper Me a Love Song
#here is finally my spring watchlist#it's coming a bit late but i still wanted to share it#anime#anime watchlist#anime review#yatagarasu#the raven does not choose its master#bartender glass of god#wind breaker#oblivion battery#boukyaku battery#kaiju no. 8#tadaima okaeri#viral hit#demon slayer#kimetsu no yaiba#go go loser ranger#sentai daishikkaku#dungeon meshi

Alright, we've gathered the keys and have an hour left to go. Where do we go from here?
Okay. So. Before reality was rewritten via whatever the fuck just happened, Yuki coded the "emergency escape program" which will let us set everything back.
I. Feel like. We need to have a group discussion here. Once the choice has been made to use it or not to use it, the program will be erased. Yuki wanted the group to decide for themselves whether to stay in this reality or return to the old.
Obviously Haruhi would want to go back to a world of magic and aliens and shit but. Like. There are very good reasons for why we should let this pass us by.
Remember how we fucking killed Ryoko? Like. She is for realsies dead now. Are we really about to return her to her grave?
Remember Haruhi nearly deleting the universe because she was jealous of Kyon?
Remember when we had to cheat at a baseball game so Haruhi wouldn't destroy the city with closed space?
Remember 15,000 time loops because Haruhi wanted to help Kyon with homework?
What about Mikuru nearly decapitating Kyon with a photon laser?
The old timeline was a horror movie. I mean. Obviously he makes the choice.
We're supposed to want this. We're supposed to want Kyon to go back, I know, but. I. Don't? The only good things that happened in the other timeline were the relationships he had with other people, and he can make those again. Hell, Haruhi's literally gung-ho right this second about reforming SOS Brigade.
I have not heard a compelling argument for why Closed Space and Mikuru Beams and World-Cramping are things we should want for the world we live in. This world is much better for the people who live in it.
And just like that, we're world-cramping again. Here we go. Let's make mistakes.
Never mind. Time travel. Gotcha. I get it. The escape program is a time travel device because Haruhi having met John Smith in this time period proves that these events were insulated from the change in history.
Uh. Somehow.
That doesn't sound like changing history. That sounds more like someone cosmically reshuffled reality, similar to the world-cramping.
Haruhi's awakening was previously described as a massive time-quake. So. Is there another Haruhi out there now?
Guilty look away from Kyon makes it sound like it's Mikuru. Maybe she did something to time so she'd finally be free of Haruhi's torments. Maybe she ate Haruhi or something so she could prove her thesis correct and make Itsuki lose the schism.
That can't be it. If anybody's suspicious here, it's Itsuki. Itsuki ate Haruhi so he didn't have to deal with closed space anymore? I dunno.
I do not buy that for a second.
They're still trying to convince us that the way the show treats Mikuru is Fine Actually because she secretly loves it and is enjoying every moment of it. This is so post-hoc justification it hurts.
Why? Did she eat Haruhi?
Watching this and expecting shadow blades to erupt from her like Pride from Fullmetal Alchemist Mangahood. This is weirdly tense just... knowing that one of us ate Haruhi and we don't know which.
Yuki sitting here wondering how many Kyon-With-Bookmarks she is going to send back to herself at this exact point in time. Her day has been full of Bookmark Kyons. This is the 17th! She is drowning her past in Bookmark Kyons.
She wishes she had someone to complain to but unfortunately she did this to herself.
This is so confusing.
So, on December 18th Present Year, somebody ate Haruhi and then used her powers to begin shifting time starting at some point in the three year interim and taking one year to take full effect.
Gonna say Mikuru is off the suspect list 'cause this is way too complex for her. That leaves either Itsuki the Plot Explainer or Yuki herself, the god-tier robot who understands all the things.
Mmm. Not liking that Past Yuki's been shut out from synchronizing with her future self the way she did in the Tanabata episode proper.
Did Yuki eat Haruhi? Why? I mean, I can believe Yuki eating Haruhi. Yuki's been wanting to study Haruhi's capacity for auto-evolution. She let the time loops fly without making any effort to stop them. She's morally ambiguous. I absolutely believe that Yuki would eat Haruhi.
It's the "using Haruhi's powers to rewrite the universe so none of the Haruhi Stuff ever happened" bit I don't understand. Did she just want to give everyone a happier life or something? We know she has a capacity for sentimental value.
Kyon: That's the restoration program!? Yuki: No. Tetanus shot. To stave off Time Diseases. Kyon: That's not a thing. Mikuru: Oh, no, that's a really big risk of time travel. Have you not been vaccinated? I thought everyone at least got the Time Rabies Shot. Kyon: OKAY WHEN ARE YOU FROM!?
You're really going to tell Kyon and not me. You prick.
What, did Kyon eat Haruhi? I am so mad right now at the selective information-delivery.
For real, though. It's gotta be Yuki. Right?

Night Swim (2024)
While I didn't enjoy this film, that doesn't mean you won't. No matter what I say, the people involved in this project did it: they actually made a movie. That's something to be applauded. With that established...
When I saw the trailer for Night Swim, all I could think was “This doesn’t look good” but I would’ve loved to have been proved wrong. For a while, Bryce McGuire's direction and some of the character moments made me think I'd misjudged it. Unfortunately, the longer it goes on, the more you realize this should’ve stayed a proof-of-concept short film or an installment in an anthology at best.
Ray and Eve Waller (Wyatt Russel and Kerry Condon), along with their children Izzy and Elliot (Amélie Hoeferle and Gavin Warren) move to a new home. As Ray spends more time in the pool in the backyard, the illness that caused him to retire from professional baseball seems to go into remission. The rest of the family, however, keep seeing and experiencing strange things in the water. “Just stay out of the pool!”
I know that’s what you think when you hear the premise of a haunted swimming pool. Those were my exact thoughts too. Night Swim is based on McGuire and Rod Blackhurst’s short film, with both writing and McGuire serving as the film's director (his directorial debut). To their credit, they craft a scenario that makes you understand why the family doesn’t just pack their bags the second they see something spooky beneath the surface. That’s assuming it IS that easy to just move, of course. We’re not told exactly what happened to Ray, but he used to be a pro player. Now, he’s not. He has to walk around with a cane. When the pool starts working its magic on him and he’s suddenly hitting the ball like he used to - maybe even better - you can understand why he ignores the weird, unexplainable things his family has been experiencing. He hasn’t seen any of that stuff, after all, and none of them can concretely, 100% for sure confirm that there’s something bad in the pool. Helping the film is that with three other family members plus some guests who show up at a party, the pool only needs to establish itself as sinister once to each person for us to get the message. It’s not like people are constantly going in there despite bad experiences.
Beyond the character work used to keep the plot going, there are some clever scenes/images in the water. Putting a spooky twist on “Marco Polo” might be obvious but it's effective nonetheless. There’s one moment during the climax built around the idea that you experience a sort of “zero gravity” effect in the water that’s particularly good.
Eventually, we learn the backstory of the evil pool and it’s the horror equivalent of a lukewarm glass of water. Not original, not interesting. I’ll go even further and say it also doesn’t make much sense, almost as if the premise couldn’t sustain a full-length movie but we had to keep things moving so… what if the pool made you do THIS now? It leads to a conclusion that isn’t satisfying at all. It sinks all the solid character material we had previously. Then, there’s the fact that this movie repeatedly shows these awful-looking ghosts in the water. They’re not scary, even when the scene was previously effective.
I found some kind words to say about Night Swim because I don’t hate this movie. It works its premise better than expected, but that’s not enough to make it good and to most viewers, all of the positive things I scraped together won’t add up to much because the film is about a haunted pool and the end results are as scary as that sounds. I’m not saying the premise couldn’t work. The short this is based on shows it could. I’m saying it doesn’t work for a full-length movie. (June 29, 2024)

It's our last Disney park day!! And what a wonderful day it was. We are waiting for the bus now and I am beat. This was a wonderful trip.
I slept okay last night. When we got back to the room and had showers. I washed my hair. Things were good. We had made a quick stop at the front desk so Jess could get change and we could do some pin exchanging. I ended up dropping my compact mirror and breaking it though and felt a little sad about that. But that is okay. We would get cleaned up and ready for tomorrow, put on Fantasia and went to sleep.
Waking up was a little tough. We decided to take advantage of the early entry but we had to get up so early. And then we would grab breakfast to go. So we were in line for the bus eating our food. Which was honestly fine. I really liked my bagel sandwich even though they out bacon on it and I had to take if off. And we shared the potatoes and then the bus was there!
We got to Magic Kingdom and after we got a few pictures without the big crowds in front of the castle, we headed straight to get Jess coffee. But then we couldn't go on the two rides we were planning on so instead we walked to the other side of the park and once we got there Jess was done her coffee and we got to get right on the Haunted Mansion.
This was very fun. But nothing today was particularly thrilling. It was all the classic and original rides. Which I really did enjoy. I loved seeing the animatronics and seeing the sets and it was just a really good time.
We would jump on a lot of things. After Haunted Mansion we climbed the Swiss Family Robinson tree house. It was really cool to see how they used the boat pieces to make the rooms and it was also fun telling Jess boat facts. Also very silly. I was having a really good time.
We went on a lot of things today. We would go on the Jungle Cruise next. And I loved our skipper. He was really funny. And while it wasn't real animals the scenes were really cute and well done. I still think it's so interesting how many of the rides were rides first and then movies.
We would make it back to Tomorrow Land. Which is where we had tried to start the day but that just didn't work out. We still didn't have much of a wait and we went in the Carousel of Progress. And that animatronic was excellent. The only one I didn't like was the very last one because it was supposed to be modern but was just a little outdated in its guesses about the future? Still very fun.
I had to take a minute to sit down after because I got an email from a reporter about the assault I saw. Apparently the Mayor is offering a reward and they wanted to intervene me. Instead I just wrote him up an account from what I remembered. I also got to see that there is an article about what happened and I'm mentioned as a neighbor. They said the actions of his son and me probably saved his life. Crazy. I hope they find the people who did it.
We would go on the People Mover next. Which was not as long as I expected. I would have liked it to go around more things but I still liked it. Getting to see a lot of Tomorrowland and seeing the insides of things. It was really neat.
While we were on People Mover we saw that there was a car riding/speedway. So I asked to do that. And while we were in line I finished my email to the reporter. And then we got to go on a little drive.
I was very bad at this. The steering wheel was very hard to control. But I was laughing a lot and having a really good time. This was a good day.
We would go and see the most important thing soon after that. We went to see the Tangled themed bathroom. Which honestly was super pretty. I hope they do something with Tangled someday. Love that movie.
As we were walking around near Main Street I saw the uniforms for the one restaurant were very cute baseball uniforms. And I requested to go there because they had a veggie hotdog. Which ended up being more like a sausage but I really liked. We were even able to snag a table. They didn't have gluten free bread so Jess mostly just ate the fries that came with it but we were doing good.
We would go in some shop and wander around the downtown. Jess reminded me that we were planning on getting the silhouettes of ourselves and our cats and it was right there. So we waited in the little line for that.
And the girl who did them was so great. She went to set school too and was a sweetheart. Jess got her and her cat separately and I got me and Sweetp together. I made sure she got his little nose bump. I'm thrilled. We even got them framed.
While we were waiting our turn we got to see a little parade which I didn't expect. I really liked to see the Mary Poppins face character. And I was just in a great mood despite the sun beating on me.
We were going to start heading to the bus to go take our afternoon break but we saw that there was a quartet starting to perform. And after their first song they noticed our birthday buttons and sang just for us. And after they finished we ran away, literally, and made an older lady laugh out loud. We were in such a silly mood.
But my mood would drop fast. The bus took a while to come. And I was exhausted. Jess told me that she was trying to be the strong one but it was a struggle because I got so low so fast. We thought ordering food for pickup would be quick and we could get back to the room. This did not go according to plan.
Though the app said our food was ready, it would take almost 20 more minutes. And it wouldn't have been so infuriating if the staff would actually give us some timeframe of what was happening. Instead of saying sorry and the. Basically ignoring us.
I was very close to falling apart. Jess tried to send me back to the room alone but I stuck it out with her. And we got back to the room at 2.
I very sadly ate my little piece of pizza. Jess would clean herself up. And pretty soon I was just getting in bed and going to sleep.
It took me a while to settle my brain. But once I was asleep I was good. I did spring away at 415 convinced we were supposed to be up at 4 and that caused me to scare Jess awake. Oops.
Then we were both startled by housekeeping knocking on the door so super loud. We were both a little groggy but I answered and they said they could come back. So that would give us a half hour to get redressed and get out of there.
And that is just what we did. We had decided to cancel our dinner reservation and instead just went straight to the park.
Another stop at the lobby to ask for a bandaid. We discovered that they do a photo scavenger hunt so tomorrow we might attempt that. But we got out of there pretty fast. And went back to Magic Kingdom.
The bus was really easy this time and we got there without much issue. And we had some time before the fireworks. And I think we used that time well.
We went on the train which takes you around the park. And while it isn't technically a 'ride' it was still really fun and I loved seeing all the behind the scenes stuff. We even saw construction for Tiana's new area opening later this year.
And when we got off we were at the carnival. Which was really cute. We would go on Private of the Caribbean, Aladdin's magic carpet, a little mermaid ride, and it's a small world. We really packed in as much as we could. We would also buy a few pins and trade a few more. It was a lot of fun.
Around 7 we started to try and figure out where we would watch fireworks. After some moving around we decided Jess would get in line for a churro and popcorn and I would go and find us somewhere.
I found a ledge near a slightly obscured area. And while I waited for Jess I had a really nice conversation with a woman from New York. She is an occupational therapist and hasn't been to magic Kingdom since 1986, when she saw the challenger explode over Disney Word??? What a crazy story. She was really nice.
When Jess joined us we all talked about work and life and our rankings of the park. And when her family joined her son, a 5th grader, asked if I knew what Five Night at Freddy's was and we ended up talking for almost a half hour. Which both Jess and the mom though was bizarre but also probably hilarious. Like I have never played these games but I know them well enough to talk to most kids about it. And if I didn't know something I would phrase it as a question to get him to tell me more. It was good fun. And a great way to waste the half hour before the fireworks started.
I have to say that Epcot's firework show was better. Again this one relied to heavily on projections for my taste, but the fireworks themselves were very impressive and I had a great time. Sitting on the ground. Getting sprinkled with ash. It was honestly super fun.
And when it was over we still had an hour and a half of the park being open. So Jess grabbed onto my purse, we said goodbye to our new friends, and I motored us through the crowd. I only had to push through a few people who were just being so unaware of their bodies. But no one got hurt and I got us to the other side of the plaza.
I bought a few more pins. And we decided that trading pins is more fun then buying the blind bags. I really like the pins I got. Both purchases and traded but there is just something so thrilling about the finding.
We saw that pirates had a 5 minute wait so we went on it again. And I think I liked it more the second time. I had a really great day.
After visiting the Tangled themed bathroom, which was beautiful at night, and wandering down Main Street we decided to call it. And end the day in a high note.
The line for the bus was long. But we made it on the second one that pulled up. We were the last ones on. Pretty nice. And while the standing made it tough to work on my post, and it was incredibly hot to the point I was legit sweaty, we would very soon be back at the hotel.
We paused in the gift shop and I got another traded pin. This one a Duffy Bear cupcake and I was so excited. Jess spotted it first but she let me have it. Love her for that. And then we went going back to our room.
I was a little nauseous. And had to drink a lot of water when we got back to the room but after a shower and putting away my laundry, I feel a lot better. Just very tired.
Tomorrow we are going home. But we still have a lot of day until then. We are going to sleep in a little. Then after breakfast and packing we are going to Disney Springs for the last time. Probably grabbing those last few souvenirs we liked, and after a little lunch, coming back here to get our shuttle to the airport.
Our flight isn't until 530 so we won't be home until late. I am so so so excited to see my husband. Also my cat. And just to be back to the wintertime. This has been such a nice break, and honestly I feel so spoiled by the weather besides everything else. But I also just feel so lucky.
I hope you all sleep great tonight. And I hope tomorrow is a beautiful day. Goodnight everyone. Until next time.

mini-essay because i just watched moneyball and the mighty rio grande is like blasting in my headphones rn. please keep in mind i am sobbing my fucking eyes out and this gonna be extremely incoherent and disconnected when i reread it in the morning.
it's hard not to be romantic about baseball. it's a metaphor, of , but it's one that makes sense. baseball is a labor of love. your pour your heart into this group of people you don't know, and you ride the ups and downs together. this is true of any sport, of course, but i think the reason that you see so much love and passion go into baseball is because it's really something special.
in the context of moneyball (a movie that i wasn't expecting would rip my heart out and tear it into a million tiny pieces), every little thing is important. all of these guys, none of whom were loved by major league baseball, hung onto it for dear life because that;s what it meant to them. billy would've left the mlb altogether if he didn't love it as much as he did. all of the players on the 2002 oakland a's loved the game of baseball so much that they had something keeping them in it. they're not getting anything out of it except the validation that they are worth it. peter mentions this towards the end of the movie when talking about the potential contract billy has with the red sox. he says that the money means what it means to any big league player- that they're worth it. at the end of the day, all of these people just want their love to be worth something. don't we all.
there's another thing that i think ties into this, and it's the song that billy's daughter records for him. like, specifically the version that's at the end of the movie. she's telling him, just enjoy the show. enjoy what is happening in front of you right now, without worrying about what it's going to mean for you later. love the game. live in the moment.
and of course, that's true for a lot of things, but in the realm of baseball, just love it now. don't think of what could happen while you don't have to. the chicago white sox are perhaps the shittiest team in baseball right now, but if there are fireworks at comiskey the fans are happy. the colorado rockies suck, but if kris bryant ever makes it off the injured list the fans will have a fucking field day. the cubs might not see another world series for another 108 years, but what matters is that they're pretty damn good right now. and i think that's pretty beautiful.
#i cried too hard and i think i broke my cursor while writing this#fukc that tho#moneyball#brad pitt#oakland athletics#jonah hill#ive never cried at a jonah hill movie before but#first time for everything i guess

LOST and FOUND - Chapter 11 - Part 2
*Warning Adult Content*
One Month Later
I was really enjoying living with Jona.
Nothing had changed in our relationship other than the fact that we were living together.
That meant that I slept in the same bed as him and we fooled around but we still hadn't actually fucked.
I didn't know what was stopping us.
He would rim me or finger me and we would give each other blow jobs but his cock hadn't gotten even close to my hole, yet.
I was watching T.V. when I got a phone call from Jona and I quickly picked it up.
"Hey. I was going to order dinner soon. When are you going to be home?"
He groaned.
"I'm really busy at work and I'm going to be here late. I need to ask you a favor."
"Um... okay."
"Will you pick up Ethan from his baseball game?"
He asked hesitantly. I didn't say anything at first.
I liked Ethan.
I saw him a few days a week when he spent the night at the house but I had never spent much time alone with him and picking him up from his game... that was so parental.
"Sure," I finally said.
"Thanks, baby," he sounded grateful.
"I'll let you know when I'm leaving work. Love you."
And then he hung up.
I slowly took the phone away from my face and stared at it.
Did he just say...?
I shook my head.
No... he didn't mean it.
It was just an automatic response to someone when you cared about them and were getting off the phone with them.
I mean that was a plot in a lot of shows and movies.
It happened all the time.
It didn't mean anything, I told myself again.
We hadn't said those words to each other yet and Jona knew it was a big deal.
It was just an accident.
I thought he might call me back and apologize for the way he ended the call but he must have never realized it because the phone was quiet.
I sighed, snapping myself out of this daze.
I needed to pick up Ethan, I couldn't worry about this right now.
I pushed those words to the back of my mind and got up from the couch.
Don't over think it, Beau.
As I waited in the parking lot at Ethan's school, I was hoping that Jona told him I was picking him up.
It would be weird if he didn't.
I cared a lot about Ethan... more than I expected to... but the age thing got weird a couple times.
No matter how serious I got with Jona, I didn't want to start acting like Ethan's parent.
It wasn't fair since he already had two and he especially didn't need to be parented by a twenty-five-year-old.
Suddenly, the car door opened and Ethan said...
"Hey, Bea."
I smiled at the nickname and waved while he slid into the car.
"How was the game?" I asked as I did my routine, checking all the mirror incessantly before putting the car in reverse.
"Seatbelt, please," I said and Ethan clipped his seatbelt in.
"It was good. We won, so that's always good, right?"
"Right. Congrats," I told him, smiling over at him and then focused on the road again.
"Thanks."
We fell into a comfortable silence after that.
I never felt awkward around Ethan, at least after that first day so I wasn't sure why I was wary of picking him up.
"Can I ask you something?" he asked out of nowhere.
"Yeah, of course."
He paused and then just came out with it...
"How did you know you were gay?"
I was little shocked by the question but I responded quickly.
"I always kind of knew. I had my first crush on a boy when I was like five and it was pretty obvious to my parents from the beginning."
"Oh," he said, sounding disappointed.
I glanced over at him, worried.
He was looking down at his hands in his lap.
I chewed on my lip.
Was he trying to say that he was...?
"Why haven't you asked your dad about this?" I asked and he shook his head.
"I can't. I'd be too embarrassed. Dad was like... a fuckboy growing up. He wouldn't understand."
I giggled a little.
Ethan gave me an amused look.
I smiled over at him before focusing on the road again.
"Why don't you tell me what's been going on?"
He sighed.
"It's my friend. My best friend. I don't know... I just don't look at him as just a friend. I don't think about girls at all, I just think about him. I could never tell him. My heart will just end up broken."
My eyebrows drew together.
"Is there's no way your friend feels the same way?"
He gave me a devastated look.
"No, definitely not. He would hate me if he knew."
"I'm sure he wouldn't, Ethan. Not if he's your best friend."
He just shook his head.
Soon we were pulling up to the house.
"Why don't you invite him over sometime. I have pretty good gaydar," I told him and he gave me a suspicious look.
"Or are you too embarrassed to be seen with your dad and me?"
I parked in the driveway.
"Well, you guys are kind of embarrassing sometimes."
"Then I have accomplished something in life."
Ethan laughed.
That seemed to bring him out of his poor mood and I was glad I could take his mind off it.
His smile fell a little and then he said...
"Please, Bea. Don't tell my dad."
I touched his shoulder.
"I won't."
"Thanks," he said, looking grateful.
"You can always talk to me, Ethan," I told him.
"Thanks, Bea."
I smiled, lip quivering a tiny bit.
And then I reached over the console, bringing him into a tight hug.
He laughed, hugging me back.
"Just don't do this in front of my friend, okay?"
"No promises," I said as I squeezed him.
He grumbled but squeezed me back.

Three Times Dodger Was Exactly What Dani Needed and Once That He Knew She Needed Someone Else
Pairing: Dani x Dodger Evans, Dani x Chris Evans
Word Count: 2,391
Summary: The title basically says it all. But Merry Christmas to my sweetest little lovebug, Dani @fallinforevans! I hope you love it!!!
Warnings: Dodger Evans being the best boy ever, mentions of family issues and work stress
A/N: This is NOT the reader insert type story that I typically write. I wrote this as a very special gift for one of my dearest friends. I absolutely based it on her and her love for iced coffee, Dodger Evans, and (unfortunately) the way her. family can be. I don’t expect it to resonate with everyone. But I WILL be back to writing reader insert after this one.
One
As Dani left work that day, all she wanted to do was get an iced coffee and get home to crawl into bed and forget about the day. She'd been busting her ass to get all the work done she could during this busy fall season, but that didn't mean everyone else was working as hard as she was. Despite turning out some of her best results yet, she kept getting more and more work thrown at her and had never felt less appreciated. It didn't help that she had slept through her alarm this morning, forgotten her lunch, and then gotten back to work late because the restaurant took forever to pack up her take out order. She’d ended up having to eat at her desk while she worked, and managed to spill the last few sips of the iced coffee that was going to get her through the rest of the day.
By the time her day had come to an end, she’d decided to take the shortcut through the park that would get her home about 10 minutes faster AND take her past her favorite coffee stand to make up for the tragedy of the spilled coffee. About half way through the park, though, it seemed as if fate had different plans. Something flew past her knees in a blur and before she knew it, she was on the ground, unable to stand back up and being assaulted by something wet directly to her face.
It took a second to collect herself and process what happened, but when she did, it became a little easier to breathe. The pup currently licking her face in the most excited manner must have gotten away from his owner and accidentally knocked her over. She started to pet him, hoping it would calm him down, at least enough for her to stand back up, but the attention only brought more energy from his brown and white body.
“Woah, Bubs, where did you come from, huh? Someone out there must be looking for you. You’re too cute to be out here all by yourself.” She said to the dog. As soon as he’d heard her nickname for him, he settled enough for Dani to push herself back up, and find a seat on the bench nearby. He immediately came to sit directly in front her, being sure he wouldn’t miss any of the attention she was clearly going to be giving him.
“Dodger, huh? You do like something straight out of a Disney movie” Dani chuckled, taking her phone from her purse to call the phone number on the tag.
“I’m impressed. Not many people get the reference right away,” came a voice from a few feet away, making her put her phone away. “Usually people think it’s got something to do with baseball. I’m sorry about him though. Are you ok?”
“Yeah. Getting some love from an adorable furball is far from the worst thing that happened to me today. It might have been the best actually.” She said with a laugh.
“Well then I’m glad he could help. He must have noticed you could use some puppy love. I’m Chris, by the way. You’ve clearly already met Dodger.”
She scratched his head, smiling. “Dani. Thanks for the pick-me-up, Dodger, even if it literally knocked me over.”
“How about I make that up to you? There’s a great little coffee stand right over here. Let me buy you a cup? Bubba here doesn’t look like he’s ready to say goodbye to you yet.”
Dani smiles, her eyes lighting up at the suggestion. “I was just headed there myself, actually. They make the best coffee. I would love the company.”
Two
As the three of them walked off together, Dodger firmly planted between them so he could share his love with both of them, Dani couldn’t help but think that maybe Dodger had known what she’d needed after all.
Since the fateful day in the park that Dodger knocked her over, Dani, Chris, and Dodger had been darn near inseparable. After several coffee and dog park dates, and few fancier and Dodger free dates as well, she and Chris became official. About eight months later, the two humans had realized they had gotten to the point where it was simply a waste for Dani to be paying rent anywhere else, seeing as she spent virtually every night with Chris and Dodger.
It had amazed Chris at first just how seamlessly Dani had fit into his life. He’d been a little worried that everything would change once she’d officially moved in, but life remained much of the same for them. If anything, it was easier, simply because there was no more of the awkwardness about where they stood. Having each other around, knowing this was home, everyone seemed happier and more at ease.
This morning started the same way most every morning did - Chris had gotten up long before Dani had even considered getting out of bed, and had gone for this usual morning run. The first difference from their normal morning was noticeable as soon as Dani rolled over. The bed wasn’t empty. Dodger had nestled himself into Chris’ spot in bed, and was staring intently at her. It was fairly common for Dodger to accompany Chris on his runs, but every now and then the pup would stay behind, so Dani tried not to think too much of it.
The next difference, Dani felt as soon as she sat up to get out of bed. To be fair, she’d been expecting it, but that didn’t mean the cramps hurt any less. She’d only been awake for a matter of minutes and she could already tell it was going to be one of those days where it would take a miracle to even get her out of bed for any lengthy period of time. Thankfully, Chris had a few meetings today and would be in and out, even after his run, so she could take the day for herself, but knew he’d still be around to check on her too.
She got up with the plans to run through her normal morning routine, including grabbing the iced coffee Chris had undoubtedly left in the fridge for her after making his own coffee this morning. Dodger immediately followed her, almost as though he was keeping an eye on her while Chris was out of the house. On her way back to the bedroom, Dodger raced ahead of her, meeting her back at the bed with his stuffed lion in his mouth. As she crawled back into bed, the pup leaned down and pushed the lion over to her before gently laying his head in her lap.
“Are you gonna share him with me, bubs? I know you love to snuggle him.”
Dani couldn’t help but smile when Dodger sighed happily, relieved that she figured out his plan. She scratched at his favorite spot, right behind his ear. “We do a good job taking care of each other, huh, Bubs? You always seem to know what will make me feel better.”
Chris had been away for nearly a month. He tried to get back home as often as he could, but with the announcement of a new movie he’d signed on for, he was suddenly being called in for interviews every free second he had. Dani was so proud of him and knew how hard he’d been working, but it didn’t make being apart any easier. She couldn’t wait until he got home this afternoon, so she could show him just how proud she was, but that wasn’t going to make the next few hours any easier. Just this morning alone, she’d already done a load of dishes, made a batch of Chris’ favorite cookies, picked up all the toys Dodger had left laying around and vacuumed every room in the house. The anticipation was killing her and she wasn’t sure how she would possibly manage to make it through the next few hours.
Three
Dani thought that maybe finding a movie to focus on would have helped keep her distracted for a while, but even Nick Vaughn serenading her with the sweet sounds of his trumpet couldn’t take her mind from the fact that Chris was almost home. She was pulled from thoughts of Chris when she heard a loud bark coming from near the back door. Dodger was sitting right next to his leash, clearly expecting his walk to begin IMMEDIATELY. Always a sucker for whatever her bubba wanted, she found her tennis shoes, attached his leash and started outside. Expecting him to head to the right, the way they always went on their afternoon walk, she was almost pulled off her feet when Dodger suddenly turned and pulled her up the street to the left.
“Ok, Bubba, I get it. We’ll go the long way. It can’t hurt. Maybe we can even stop at your favorite park for a while.”
Dodger had the time of his life on their walk. He’d chased a squirrel up a tree, made 3 new human friends on the way to the park, and 4 new dog friends once they’d reach the fenced area in which he could run free. By the time he came back up to Dani and laid his head on her knee, silently asking to go back home and cuddle with his lion, even Dani was feeling worn out from all that Dodger had enjoyed on the walk.
The trip back took a little longer than the way there had, partly because Dodger didn’t have as much energy for this half of the walk, and partly because Dani still wasn’t looking forward to returning to an empty house. She figured there was about an hour left before Chris should be home, but was hoping that maybe Dodger had worn her out enough that she could sneak a nap in to keep her thoughts from wandering to Chris.
As the house came into view, Dodger let out a happy bark and suddenly regained all the energy he’d used up earlier. Dani did a double take, because standing there on the porch, watching them walk up the road, was Chris.
The Time She Needed Someone Else
“Dodge - you knew I just needed to keep busy, huh? Ok, that was such a good boy. Go ahead.” She reached down to let Dodger off his leash, and he stopped, looking back up at her, almost as if he was trying to make sure she would be ok. She rubbed his head and chuckled, “It’s ok, Bubba. Go get daddy.” And with that, Dodger took off towards his dad.
“Woof! Woof woof!”
Dodger’s loud, clear barks rang through the house as Chris sat in his office, working. The last time Chris had been in their room, Dani was watching something on TV while Dodger was curled up at the end of the bed, snuggling with his lion. Chris guessed the barks meant that Dodger had grown bored with whatever Dani was watching and was ready to play.
Chris had only gotten through a couple more work emails before Dodger started barking again. This time he didn’t sound like he was looking to play, but more that he expected someone to immediately come find him. Chris wondered if maybe Dani had fallen asleep watching tv and Dodger had managed to get himself stuck in the bathroom or something, and decided it would just be easier for everyone if he were to go let the pup out.
When he got to the hallway leading to their bedroom though, he noticed Dodger sitting in the doorway to their room. Dodger was looking back and forth between the bedroom and the hallway. The second he saw Chris coming, he ran to his dad, leading him straight back to Dani. As Chris came into the room, he found the love of his life sitting on the edge of the bed, her head in her hands and her cellphone laying next to her.
“Darlin’, what’s the matter?” he asked cautiously, stepping into the room and kneeling down in front of her.
“It’s just - everything. My work sucks, and you’ve been working so hard, and I’m so proud of you, I really am, but it doesn’t mean it’s easy on me, and then -” He could feel the tension in her shoulders, and he definitely saw her glance at her phone.
“Your family?”
She could only nod as the tears started again. It killed Chris to see her this way, and if he could just snap his fingers and make everything ok, he would do it in a heartbeat. He took her hands in his, just as he felt her breath quicken. He cupped her cheek in his hand and wiped the tears away with the pad of his thumb.
“Dani, look at me. You are incredible. I don’t know how your family doesn’t see that. But you know what? We’re your family now. Me and you and Dodge. Really, we have been for a while. We’re the ones that will be in this together forever. We’re the ones that will get through anything together. Even Bubba knew you needed us today.”
Dani sniffled, trying her hardest to get the tears under control. “That’s sweet, Chris. And yeah, Dodge could tell I was crying. But -”
“No. No buts today. Just your cute one, putting on your softest pjs ” he teased with a sparkle in his eyes “and finding the sappiest movie you can find on tv. Even if it’s one of those vampire movies you love so much. You and Dodge and I are gonna stay right here all day, and we will supply you with endless love and cuddles and snacks. And then we’ll get that Italian place you love to deliver dinner, and by the time we’re done, you’ll remember just how much we love you. I know it won’t fix everything. But we need you to know that no matter what, you aren’t in this alone.”
She smiled softly, “Thank you. You two always seem to know exactly what I need.”
As if on cue, Dodger hopped up on the bed and planted a sloppy kiss right on her cheek.
Because this isn’t the reader insert I normally write, I will reblog this in the morning with my tags. For now, I’m gonna let Dani enjoy it!

It’s The Little Things || Joe Mazzello x Reader
What started out as a discussion between me and @amethyst-serenade on how cute Joe is, blown out into this story/HC, I honestly don’t know what this is. It’s definitely fluffy, now that I’m sure. Hope you guys enjoy our work!!
Words: 2393
No warnings whatsoever
HERE WE GO!!
Oh without a doubt! He's gonna be an amazing father and his kids will be adorable and lovable just like him.
Imagine him with his firstborn (especially if it's a girl) holding them in his arms and the absolute adoration on his face ♥️
It would start when you tell him you're pregnant. He'd be beside you (crying a little), kissing and hugging you, and your belly and telling "I'm gonna be a dad. We're gonna be parents."
Even when before you start showing, his hands will be on the belly, secretly protecting his kid. Involuntarily yelling "excuse me" and "coming through" when the two of you walk through crowds. And randomly talking to the baby, reading to the baby at night. And when he goes on a shoot while you're pregnant and he calls and he says "put the phone on speaker, I wanna talk to the baby" and talks about the day.
And he'd be showing everyone the ultrasound pic! And when you're having a movie night, he'd either have his hand or his head on your belly, constantly snuggling into you. And he'll tell anyone who'll listen that his beautiful wife is expecting your first child. And during the movie, if anybody cusses, Joe would put his hands on the sides of the belly and he'd say "too early for that" jokingly.
Oh Joe won't be able to hold it in for the first trimester. The day the second trimester hits, the ultrasound will be on his page and he'll share an entire paragraph about the baby and his incredible wife.
And obviously help throw the best damn dramatic Baby Gender Reveal Party ever!! YES! It's a girl!!
The moment he feels the baby kick over your belly, god, here comes the water works AGAIN!! His hands will be literally glued to your belly until he feels her kick again.
And the day comes when little Ms. Mazzello is ready to make her grand entrance into the world and you bet your ass, Mr. Mazzello has had the hospital bag and ready to go right after the baby shower.
And there she was, Ella Virginia Mazzello, the absolute adoration in his face as he watched his little girl in a tiny bundle on her mom's chest.
His face would be all lit up when he finally holds his baby girl, he's looking at his baby girl, all teary eyed and you could see his love for the baby in his eyes. And he'll literally worship the mother of his more than adorable baby, the love of his life and love her like anything.
He'd be loving and considerate, and would make sure his wife is happy and comfortable. And he tries his best to for you to let him dress the baby in the Yankees onesie he got for her. Well he knows how that's gonna end up.
Let us assume the fact that Ben has a baby boy around that time and Gwil makes a joke "that's your future boyfriend" when the boys visit the new mother and baby at Joe's home and Joe whispers to the baby, pretty audibly, "No dating for you until 16, young lady"
And on one day when the Yankees are playing, he'll be wearing a Yankees tshirt and dresses the baby in the Yankees onesie that he specifically got for her, and seats her on his lap, he'll post that picture captioned "Just two Yankees fans hangin' out"
His phone memory will be filled up with all of Ella's pictures, videos of her bouncing up and down on her father's lap to one of those Beatles songs from her dad's collection and obviously in her Halloween costume, that's right, Joe dresses up his little girl in a baby Raptor costume.
And all the boys would give him shit for it but Lucy would think it's the most adorable thing ever and tell you how lucky you are to have a husband like that.
As his little girl grows up, he'll help her host tea parties and he'd take her on daddy-daughter dates so he can show her how a REAL man should treat her.
Joe would make sure his little girl don't take no crap!
Second time along, during their second gender reveal, they find they're having a baby boy and he'll go crazy raising his hands and jumping up and down "we're having a boy, our lil baseball player is here."
He'd be going on and on and ON about having a firstborn son to carry on the family name.
He'd DEFINITELY get him a raptor onesie first and practically beg to organise play dates with Gwil & Dana's little girl and Rami and Lucy's twins (we haven't forgotten Ben's kids)
And Joe's baby girl, he'll definitely be by her side when his baby boy is too little so that she don't feel left out or anything.
********
And Mother's Day,
The boys would all get together and plan something special for the ladies so they don't have to lift a finger. Starting with breakfast in bed (that Joe made with help from the kids), well you woke up to your little girl's giggles from outside the door and in comes your lovely husband with your baby boy in the baby carrier and Ella.
The boys would have booked the girls in for a spa day and he'll organise daddy-daycare with the boys. Then you'd all go to Rami & Lucy's place for dinner, which of course, the dads are making while the girls hangout with the kids. And then comes a bab(ies)y-mommy photoshoot and everything.
But Joe would find you when the baby's hungry because 'that's the one thing I can't do, sorry!' He'll be so dramatic saying "My nipples are useless."
Under the starry skies, the boys and their wives and babies, pictures perfect.
Ooh and the kids, well the boys will set up tents for them to camp in the backyard. And they'll sit around and tell stories of dragons and pirates and wizards; and let their imaginations run wild.
Imagine Gwil telling all these amazing stories with his soothing accent, doing all the voices and making the kids laugh while the rest of you are enjoying a beer or a glass of wine under the fairy lights hanging in the trees. And later, when he gets an acoustic guitar and break into a song and all the boys sing along.
And after the kids are down, all of you reminisce about the time when they did BoRhap and all the fun you guys had during press tours and birthdays and holidays.
And Joe tells about the adventures in Japan for the press tour when the translators were finding it hard to keep up with the boys. And Ben's like "Sorry I missed it!"
"But Cardboard Ben did" and that's when they remember Ben Cardy after an awful long time
Then Gwil and Joe explain the terrible night that Cardy B was in jail. Meanwhile you and the girls look at each other like "Boys!" 🙄
And Lucy takes out Joe's YouTube page and shows all the videos. And they all give him shit for doing 'Milk' and you be like "He still got the occasional screams."
Then Rami says "so THAT'S your bedroom secret, Joe?" And Joe's like "Well, we've got two kids so it must be working!" And you shove at his arm to keep him quiet saying "Joseph!"
"That's nothing", Lucy says with a grin "Rami sings to me". And Rami covers his face with his hands and Ben shoves his arm. "Gwil goes "Huzzah" everytime he's done", says Dana from a corner. Ben gives Olivia a warning look, and Olivia says "Ben tells me to call him Skywalker to get him in the mood" and Joe laughs.
"So we all have weird quirks, cheers to that", says Joe and takes a drink and you go like eww
"That's why were friends", says Gwil. "Joe and I are more like brothers' says Rami, "We've seen each other shirtless in The Pacific". "And other things" says Ben. Lucy rolls her eyes and you two give each other a look.
"Here we go again" says Gwil and turns to you to ask "Has he tried to make the kids watch The Pacific yet?"
"Well it's not my fault. That the scene was TOO GOOD, y'know", says Joe winking, "besides you enjoy it as much as I do" says Joe to you.
"Several times. Barely made it halfway through the first episode before Ella said she was bored. He then tried with Joey until I reminded him that the baby is, in fact, still a baby. But when WE watch it, Joe always seems really interested in THAT sex scene", you said. "Joseph!" Lucy gasps
"Attaboy!" Rami chuckles and pats Joe on his back.
"How come you guys never watched it with me?", Ben asks. "We should do a "The Pacific" watch party one day", Rami announces and Joe toasts, "To the watchparty!"
"Oh she hesitated! That means it's true!" says Ben. "No wonder you've got two kids" Gwil grins.
"You watched it too!" says Dana. "Only because Rami and Joe wouldn't shut up about it and brought it up in EVERY interview we did!" says Gwil.
Just as Joe does the toast, your daughter comes out in her favourite unicorn pyjamas. "Daddy, I need to pee". Joe looks over at you. Rami and Lucy giggle. "She did call Daddy, didn't she?", you gave a look to Joe and he says "Come here" he says and picks up his daughter and off he goes. "She walks right?", Dana asks. "Don't even get me started with that.", you told.
"Always knew he'd go all gooey over his little girl." Ben says, lighting a cigarette. "She's definitely daddy's princess", you sigh. "Does he have tea parties with her?" Olivia asks. "He does, but uh" you hesitate just as Joe comes back, "Liv wants to know about your latest tea party"
"Oh what can I say Ella loves tea parties as much as I do. It's incredible and so much fun, you know" he says. "And this one here", he gestures to you, "is kinda jealous of us spending all the time together."
"You pinky promised me that you wouldn't show it to anyone" says Joe trying to grab your phone. "Oh its them", you said. "Yes it's us. Also pinky promise? How old are you guys?", Gwil asked.
"Yeah, Joe left me for a younger woman", you grin, sipping your wine. "You bastard!" Gwil gasps.
"And yet I have photographic evidence of you wearing a flower crown" you add. "Show us!", says Ben.
"That's just the start of it, Gwil", you wink, "so we have a choice between the flower crown, the fairy wings or the unicorn headband". Ben chokes on his cigarette and the girls laugh.
"You're a man of many hidden talents, Joe", Rami smirks.
"In my defense, I take pinky promises very very seriously", Joe said as the group passed the phone around, "Also I looked good in every one of those pictures"
"Y/N, tell them", Joe said. You roll your eyes. "He looks good in every one of those pictures", you said, adding to Dana "otherwise he'll sulk for the rest of the night." Dana giggles.
"Speaking of onesies, Joe wanted to get BoRhap themed outfits for the kids.", you said. "Thats so thoughtful, Joe", Lucy said. "Hold on, next time?", Ben grinned, "You guys wanna have more kids?"
"Did you get that onesie that we sent you for the baby?" Ben asked. "We did", you confirm "and it fits perfectly. Though El almost threw a tantrum when she saw her baby brother dressed as a raptor."
"Well Joe has already bought a Yankees one, so Ben had to compromise", said Rami. "Joe made me pinky promise that we HAD to buy the Yankees onesie first", you grin. "I wanted that for the baby's "homecoming" outfit, but she didn't allow it. Both times. Better luck next time, right?" Joe said.
'It's Joey's first Christmas. They're growing up so fast. I remember like it was yesterday that I told Joe that I was pregnant with El. Now here we are", and you were interrupted by a baby crying through one of the monitors. All of you scramble around to check which one was active. And found out it was yours, "Is he hearing all this? I'm gonna go check on him", you said and walked away.
"Oh he's already advised me of this, on the wedding night", you shrugged. "Pretty sure we conceived lil Joey at your place, Gwil", Joe grins, making Gwil sputter on his beer. You swatted his arm, "Joe!!".
"And I assume you've already found these outfits for the kids?" Olivia asked.
"It's a work in progress. It should be ready by the time of our Disney trip, hopefully", Joe said.
You sat in the rocking chair with Joey in your arms, singing to him softly, looking deep into his hazel eyes, stroking his cheek with your finger.
"I remember when you told us that Y/N was pregnant again", said Lucy, "You couldn't wait give give El a baby brother or sister."
"That's what you meant when you said you were busy, huh"' Rami winked. "We thought it was time, you know, El became a big sister."
******
"Gosh, I feel bad for not saying goodnight to everyone", you yawned "I didn't realise how tired I was.". You watched as the baby snuggled into the pastel green blanket, sound asleep.
You felt the baby lifted off your arms and opened your eyes, your fingers tightening on the baby "Shhhh its okay, it's me. I got him.", said Joe as he took the baby in his arm and laid him down on the bassinet right by the bedside. "Aren't you supposed to be downstairs?", you asked sleepy
"I knew you'd have dozed off with the baby when you didn't show up and everybody was tired after the long night. Probably asleep by now", Joe said, "Come let's go to sleep."
'C'mon now, in you get', Joe said pulling the duvet aside and you got in and he behind you. His strong arms wrapped around you after he pulled the blanket over the both of you. You nuzzled into his neck. Joe kissed the top of your head. As the two of you dozed off.

60 Question Tag Challenge!
I was challenged by @woo-for-woojin to answer all of these. To be fair, I challenged her first, but let’s not get into the details. Original post of questions by @roseyygf.
1: Selfie.
GAAAAAAAH I HATE THIS ALREADY SMH IM SO UGLY.
Lmao look at my fingers. What the hell is going on there?
2: What would you name your future kids?
I feel like that’s a joint decision, so I can’t say. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll want to have my own kids through childbirth. My family has a genetic disposition to difficulties during pregnancy. I might adopt.
3: Do you miss anyone?
A few people. Some of them I haven’t even met in person. I miss my BFF from school. I miss a few people online that I’ve fallen out of touch with. I’m always missing people. 😂
4: What are you looking forward to?
College, and moving out of my house. I’ve been itching to do both of these for years now.
5: Is there anyone who can always make you smile?
@hoshithehamster, @woo-for-woojin, @a-toxic-galaxy, my BFF from school, and my older sister. Also, I swear, @hoshithehamster and I are literally are always TALKING IN CAPS LOCK BECAUSE WE ARE IDIOTS AND WE HAVE THE WEIRDEST, MOST FUN CONVERSATIONS EVER.
6: Is it hard for you to get over someone?
Once I’ve gone all-in, yeah. When it’s a crush, not usually. I’m really slow to develop a crush on someone. Painfully slow lol. I’m cautious because I’ve been hurt by people in that regard a few times. One incident had me suicidal for a long time.
7: What was your life like last year?
Kind of the same? I didn’t have this blog open. If you had asked this regarding two years ago, I would have said that I wasn’t homeschooling, didn’t know how to play piano much, didn’t have this blog, and was very depressed because of my old schoolmates.
8: Have you ever cried because you were so annoyed?
YES! Whenever I feel stuck and know I have no control of a situation, I get frustrated and find a quiet place to cry.
9: Who did you last see in person?
I’m assuming this means out of my own household. The last person I saw was my older sister and her roommates, who I am really good friends with. One of them loves coffee as much as me and it’s great! I spent the night. That was over a month and a half ago lmao. Before that, I had gone on a date at a coffee shop.
10: Are you good at hiding your feelings?
Yeah. My family gets angry at me if I’m sad or angry about anything, so I hold it all in. It definitely has made life a bit harder. I make people angry when I won’t disclose my feelings to them. I just find it to be better to hold it. I have to be really comfortable with you and really love you if I’ll tell you that I’m sad/angry and why.
11: Are you listening to music right now?
Yeah. It’s Le Pire by Maître Gims. He’s a really great French singer.
12: What is something you want right now?
If this is concerning food, I’m in the mood for chicken right now lol. I need some protein. Aside from food, I’m wanting to get a pedal for my electric piano. I have no sustain and it ruins a lot of songs. 😂 It’s why I have my ko-fi open.
13: How do you feel right now?
Meh. I’m not feeling great. I have some issues with fainting. My blood pressure drops like a rock at times and I feel it coming on, if you know what I’m saying. It’s this kind of lethargic, sick feeling. I’m trying to drink a lot of water, just in case it’s about dehydration.
14: When was the last time someone of the opposite sex hugged you?
When I last visited my favourite coffee shop. For those of you who read Caffeinic, Chan’s character design is a mix of his true personality and a barista at my café of choice. He always gives me a hug when I see him, and when I say good bye. 😊
15: Personality description?
For a quick description, I’d say that INFJ, which is my MBTI type, is really accurate for me. I’ll let one of my friends try to describe me. I’m bad at describing myself lol.
Okay, but my heart is combusting. This amazing hooman, I lob her so much!!!! One of my best friends for sure.
16: Have you ever wanted to tell someone something but you didn’t?
All the time. I’m sure you all have heard Fight Song by Rachel Platten, but that line where she says, “And all those things I didn't say // Wrecking balls inside my brain // I will scream them loud tonight // Can you hear my voice this time?” really resonates with me. It was that lyric that hooked me on this song.
17: Opinion on insecurities?
I think 90% of us have them. They are humbling, which can be good, but I urge you to know your worth. I’m such a hypocrite.
18: Do you miss how things were a year ago?
Not really. Not much has changed.
19: Have you ever been to New York?
No, but I’d love to visit! I’m from the west coast lol.
20: What is your favourite song at the moment?
Ramai by Delia & The Motans. I listen to a lot of different languages in music lol. I have no idea what any of it means, so if it’s inappropriate, I apologize.
21: Age and birthday.
Internationally, 18. May 3, 2001.
22: Description of crush.
I don’t think I have a crush???? Haha. There’s this really kind, pretty hot barista at the café who seems to like me but I’m avoiding relationships, so idk. He has green eyes and black, curly hair. He’s maybe 170-180cm, but I’m not entirely sure. He looks damn good in a button up, I... wow. 🥵
23: Fear(s)?
So many lmao. I’m afraid of some trivial things, like bugs and rollercoasters, but I’m also afraid of some different items, like never having a family of my own, or of not being able to achieve my dreams.
24: Height?
154(?)cm. About 5’1.”
25: Role model?
I don’t think I have one lmao. I just try to be the best person I can be. It’s a goal in life for me to be a truly good person.
26: Idol(s).
Aren’t Idols and Role Models pretty much the same thing..? 😂 To be general, I look up to those who have studied in medical school because I know it’s a rollercoaster of difficulties and debt. I applaud them.
27: Things I hate:
This could be a very long list. Let’s go:
Unnecessary rudeness/bullying
Being forced into things I don’t like and/or am afraid of doing
Being lied to
Being stolen from
Being thrown in awkward situations
Being denied my alone time
When people make a mess that I have to clean
When I cook for people and they don’t thank me. My face just scrunched in anger while I typed this one lmao.
Arrogant/egotistic people
So many more, but I’ll cut it off there. 😊
28: “I’ll love you if...”
OOF. There’s no specific thing someone could do. If you love me, I’ll love you. I don’t mean the “awe ily” kind of love. I mean the “I will keep you out of trouble and protect you and be around you only to enjoy your company because I love you” kind of love. True love. Not that artificial crap.
29: Favourite film(s)?
Room 1408 is really good haha. I also really liked A Simple Favour. I like a lot of movies lmao. Superhero movies are always good.
30: Favourite tv show(s)?
I watched a lot of Black Mirror before we got rid of Netflix. I watch Superstore and Brooklyn 99 like they’re the gospel. I’m always down for Gilmore Girls because it’s a classic. I often watch my old childhood shows like Danny Phantom.
31: 3 random facts.
I’m assuming you mean, “3 random facts about me” lol.
I play piano.
I read “too much.” Let’s be honest, is it even possible to read too much?
I write my own stories and songs all of the time.
32: Are your friends mainly girls or guys?
Oof. My absolute closest friends are girls, but the majority of people I would consider my friends are male.
33: Something you want to learn.
Everything I can about medicine. I’m so interested in it, and I love the idea of fixing someone’s body. I’m fascinated by the weird and/or nasty things about our bodies. I hope that doesn’t sound too weird. I also wanna learn how to use a French press lmao.
34: Most embarrassing moment?
I had been selected to perform in a talent show a few years back for my old school and I got up there, face planting on the floor. Halfway through the song, I froze up and forgot the lyrics. I have never forgotten that.
35: Favourite subject?
Any form of science or Language Arts.
36: 3 dreams you want to fulfill?
Become a doctor.
Write a song that someone can perform onstage.
Clock in my 10,000 hours in piano.
Extra: I want to learn violin so badly!
37: Favourite actor/actress?
Jennifer Aniston or Nicolas Cage probably. I don’t pay much attention to actors. I also love Jeremy Renner’s work!
38: Favourite comedian(s)?
Oh lord, this question was made for me. Randy Feltface, Samuel J. Conroe, TwoSet, Ross Lynch, and many, many more!
39: Favourite sport(s)?
Volleyball, baseball, and badminton. Low/no-contact sports lol.
40: Favourite memory?
I can’t think of a specific one, but my best memories are always those random, funny moments I have with friends. I don’t think I’m ever gonna forget when my friend and I named one of her plants for the first time. I made a plant family tree. Dear lord save my soul.
41: Relationship status?
Single~
42: Favourite book(s)?
THAT IS THE HARDEST QUESTION EVER! How can I be expected to answer this???? 😂 I don’t have a favourite.
43: Favourite song ever?
Is this q&a list crafted specifically for me to not be able to answer any of the questions? 😂 I don’t have one. It changes with time.
44: Age you get mistaken for?
People always think I’m younger than I am, but if they don’t, then they over shoot it. Most people think I’m 16, or as old as 20-22. It’s crazy lol.
45: How you found out about your idol.
I’m going to interpret this as how I found out about my ult bias, who is Chan from Stray Kids. I was surfing SoundCloud and found the 3racha page. There wasn’t much there, but I liked what they had recorded. From then, I saw some of their survival show and may have kind of fallen for Channie and his personality lmao. Whoops.
46: What my last text message says.
This is the one I got while I was answering this specific question. 😊
“I feel that. I do hate unrealistic stories or stories that go on to fast like. I want to read stories where I feel like the reader could be me and not some sort of perfect girl getting the attention of all the people and fell in love withing 3 seconds and marry. I know that there must be some drama and special things to keep the story going and that's OK but I really appreciate stories who are still based more on a normal life. And you really do a good job in writing normal life stories // And tbh no story made me as happy as your barista!Chan story. It really is something different and I love it.”
Idk if the sender would be okay with me sharing that it was them, so I just copied it lol. I truly do love the feedback I get from you guys! Thank you all so much~~!
47: Turn-ons?
I’m assuming - again - that you mean romantically? I’ve always liked someone who has a decent sense of humour. Whenever I see someone working hard at their job/studies, part of me finds it... sexy? Idk. I’m weird. Save me. 😂
48: Turn-offs?
Overconfidence is a big no-no. It’s annoying as well. I can’t stand someone who truly is an idiot. Nothing turns me off more than getting a text that’s barely legible with a million abbreviations. Speak to me like someone with a brain, please. Another big turn-off is someone who is just automatically very sexual. I’m not a super sexual person, and I don’t want to hang out with someone who has a one-track mind in that sense.
49: Where I want to be right now.
The café.
50: Favourite picture of your idol?
But... he’s so pretty? How??
Sorry. I do not own these gifs/photos of Chan~
51: Star sign?
Taurus..? Idk if that’s for horoscopes lol.
52: Something I’m talented at.
Mmmmmm idk. I’m pretty mundane. I read a lot. I really would love to say I’m talented at piano, but I just don’t think I’m there yet.
53: 5 things that make me happy.
“Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens...” Sorry.
Classical music
The smell of an old book
Petrichor and/or rainstorms
Playing piano
The smell of coffee
54: Something that’s worrying me at the moment.
Everything?? 😂 I’m worried about affording college tuition at the moment. I’m a senior and it’s steadily approaching.
55: Tumblr friends?
