I was collecting bad screenshots for a western shootout thing (don’t ask, I really don’t know), so now I have a lot of bad jpegs of Hatchetfield characters holding guns. And, also, I have a lot of information on what they did with said guns. So, here’s some fun facts I guess:

Both times Grace uses a gun, it’s Officer Bailey’s

In TGWDLM, Emma is the one to use John MacNamara’s gun

Paul puts it in his waistband and hands it to Ted when he’s taken

Ted just runs away with it and doesn’t use it

Emma takes it from infected Ted to save Paul

Similar thing happens in Black Friday with his gun

Lex kills Sherman with it

Then it’s passed to Tom

Before Becky eventually gets it to shoot Linda

Hidgens did the most things with a gun

Also has the most kills at 4

12 people have died from a gunshot

Ted was 4 of them (2 of them were done by Hidgens)

Only 8 people (out of 23) have any kills with a gun

Part of why I hate this fandom's take on Autobots vs Decepticons is ppl (mainly 'con fans honestly) who can't have any nuance of the situation whatsoever and love to write plots like "oh the humans are racist and abusive towards Cybertronians so this is how Megatron is right" no actually I don't think colonialism/imperialism and racism are justified so long as you can point the finger and say "they were the aggressors first" or "their hands are no cleaner than ours bc their society sucks too" sorry. Please come up with better sociopolitical narratives in your war story.

dont say sorry we love the paragraphs!! tbh i cant stand a lot of md fanfics because of how they characterize uzi in particular, they just do not do her depth justice. and you're so right about the narration too. its so subtle but a lot of great fics go above and beyond to take narration from just describing the world to actually representing a characters perspective- literally and figuratively. hostile takeover is a masterclass in it tbh. its actually inspired me to try and get into writing for md because you need to be the content you want to see in the world ig- im starting with rp rn though because i find that to be the easiest way to get into a characters head, ya know? also your dollxn piece made me physically ill (positive). im shipping them now but exclusively in the way your fanart is framing it (also great song choice listening to it and staring at the art really sent me) - juzi anon

I think a good narration is like, an unspoken art when it comes to writing. I LOVE fics that make a point to have the characters thoughts be a part of the narration; It speaks volumes to how that person write the character themself and can even make for some really impactful dialog thats not even spoken. I think the biggest strength of Hostile Takeover (from the chapters I've read!) is its ability to make a character's narration show the subtle, unseen things about the characters themselves. (Which is why I love J's chapters so much, J puts up such a large persona that being able to read the thoughts she actually has is so!!! arugh!!!!!)

Also: I'm glad to see you taking an inspiration for writing, I've honestly thought many a time to force myself into writing fics just because theres so many ideas I have that I do not have the time or skill to illustrate lol. I actually started posting artwork because I wanted to see more fanart for my own rarepair!!! And I can understand the whole roleplaying thing (I haven't roleplayed canon characters since my.. *shudders* MMO days /j) I grew up on roleplaying and still do on occasion! (OCs I mean haha) I think its a great stepping stone to writing full blown chapters and stuff, all about practice or whatever!!

oh and: I'm glad you liked that piece lmao. N x Doll is one of those ships I thought about for 2 seconds and went "wait no I get it.". I've honestly thought about making more art of it just because its left such a impact on my skull. (ITs... the only enemies to lovers you could HAVE with N canonically w/o messing w/ his character and i am OBSESSED)

Random tangent: I don’t think Jason would internationally hurt people around Bruce to get at Bruce. I feel like at most they’d be collateral damage. Idk I’m relying heavily on my flawed memory of utrh for this tho. His interactions with Dick there was too minimal for me to get a proper read on him.

I feel like this is one of those up to interpretation type deals where I firmly believe he would considering how he reacted to seeing Bludhaven get destroyed - he was way more concerned with using it as an opportunity to hurt Bruce then showing one ounce of care if Dick was alive or not - as well as the interaction he had earlier with oynx - I'm gonna go on my own wee tangent opps so heres the thing I think people misunderstand about Jason he a ends justify the means type guy and people get confused bc of that line he says to Bruce later when he's says smth like "I'm not talking about two face or riddler just joker" but the thing is he was talking about Bruce only having to kill the Joker not himself - Jason has already shown multiple times by that point that he is willing to kill a lot of people if he thinks that they will justify his ends - that includes killing henchmen and lower criminals and its not like he's finding out everything about everyone who gets in his way to see if they deserve to die no Jason is more violent then a lot of people seem to be willing to admit and he's willing to own up to that violence bc to him it's justified and to try and get back to the actual point (sorry anon about that) Jason's means justify the ends thing also means he doesn't mind hurting dick or oynx unnecessarily to antagonise Bruce

#jasper rambles #fairy tail #i have created a dark guild for my oc plotline to kill bc its more fun than just shoving her into canon plots she wouldnt be in #i did still find a reason for the Main Gang to be on the job w her bc i thought it'd be neat #the thunder legion are who people would expect her to team up w. but they already know her so well and theyre a little overprotective #esp when her big brother laxus is expelled from the guild. and she gets angy w them for following her on jobs #and so when they cant follow her on a job evergreen reluctantly asks erza to go w jillexan.#which then leads to Lucy wanting to go bc she eants to know Jillexan better. which means natsu and hapoy wanna go bc they go w lucy #hich means gray goes along bc hes not letting natsu get all the fun. but the (initial) job is donating magic power to drained wizards #and jillexan promptly bans all the boys from entering the hospital with her. jillexaan reluctantly accepts erzas help tho bc theres a decent #amount of wizards w Severe Magic Deficiency Syndrome in need of some magic. and erza has a point that itd be better to split the donation #across a couple powerful wizards. even if jillexan and erza individually have a lot to give it would still be draining #then while theyre there a locaal official seeks them out to hire them to find who keeps steaing wizards magic. which then leads to jillexan #and team natsu trying to find the siphoner wizard... only to uncover a dark guild trying to summon Zeref and well. they dont know how to #walk away from a fight theyre fairy tail. the team get to know jillexan better. and they get to remind jillexan that all of fairy tail is #family. she doesnt need to deal w everything alone. <3 im so excited abt this yall

Kingdom seems unusually subdued on the matter‚ despite having #been an officer involved in the original case 12yrs ago; no bleeding heart monologues here‚ nor wringing of hands over whether an injustice #has been done. indeed‚ he never really offers an opinion on whether or not he was or is convinced of the man's guilt or innocence #it's quite out of sorts for the character‚ who might normally have been expected to vigorously defend his previous conduct or to lament his #youth and inexperience in a poorly handled case. instead he says nothing‚ and skulks about concentrating on the modern day #killing. perhaps he's still shaken up by the events of the previous week‚ tho i doubt it (there isn't a great amount of reference between #episodes in this series and mostly they're very self contained to date). no big faces in the guest cast tho i always appreciate Heathcote #an undervalued actor who rarely got the kind of meaty roles he deserved (nor did he here alas)#this same year Hamon appeared in the superb To Encourage the Others‚ another tale of legal injustice‚ as Derek Bentley's co defendant #Christopher Craig‚ in Alan Clarke's incendiary dramatisation of the Bentley murder trial

I havent really been into the current state of the JJK manga for a while, im at the point where its ending might hold some value for me as someone who was already invested in the characters but largely aside from seeing how a few things pan out I just really really couldn't care less.

that being said I have to thank gege for every new chapter giving us more and more good looking Gojos. the more feral and covered in blood the better, and hoo boy am I getting that.

#god can he just kill sukuna already tho. like idc about this I want gojo v kenjaku #im of two minds on the megumi thing bc I do think its weird that gojo hasn't had any strong thoughts about potentially killing megumi #(tho i do think gege is like. holding them back rather than ignoring them) but I also think the fandom forgets their canon relationship #like yeah its nice to imagine them as a wholesome family but I dont think they even think of themselves as father and son at all lol #guardian and ward morelike. and I do think gojo was a decent guardian but I also dont think that recently traumatized and also annoying #teen gojo was ever like. very emotionally available or comforting. not to say it shouldn't be expected for gojo to be upset about this but #also I think people can get a little too wrapped up in their wholesome family pics. bc for one you can bet your ass gege doesnt care about #tsumiki enough to consider whether gojo was technically her guardian as well and how he'd care about her fate. or even nobaras it seems #holding out for gojo to be simply repressing his feelings and it biting him in the ass later but idk #he DID look strained when realizing megumis soul recognized ultimate void tho :(((( that does make me said :((((((#anyways sukuna was a fine enough villain for me but ngl hes gotten a lil annoying likewhatevs dude idc. kenjaku is hells more cunty than you #normally I wouldn't mind his shallow motives and didnt bc he was a threat that contributed to the plot but now that hes out and running #loose hes just so boring idk. like you're just gonna fight stuff. ok. lame. kenjaku vs gojo might actually have some emotional weight to it #idc about this fight and idc about sukuna #like when gojo mentioned his students and they all grinned. that! that that that he cares about them ok gege!#jujutsu kaisen #jjk 230
