I've been playing w the idea that the more Danny transforms, the more his ghost form gets "lively" while his human form gets weaker and more sickly. He knows that if he keeps transforming like this then, one day, he's not going to have a livable body to go back to, but he really doesn't want to think about all that. He's more interested in the weird "totally dead but not dead" Wayne son who may or may not have a thing for his sister.

everytime i do one these im like "this time I'll keep it simple so I don't have to suffer through colouring bc I have zero foresight—it'll be greyscale at most" and then all of the sudden its 4am and i'm trying to finish a stupid comic but i decided to add "some" colour to spice it up and hide my shitty ink job and then SOME COLOUR ALWAYS BECOMES FULL COLOUR WHY CAN I NOT ESCAPE THIS STUPID CYCLE!!

(did this all stem from me not being able to decide between a super pale character design and one w a vibrant tan bc I love white hair + tan but I also love extremely pale albino so I forced myself to find a way to make both work? never! that's absurd!)

DP + Omegaverse (no NSFW)

This is just my thoughts on what the omegaverse dynamics would look like in the DP universe. If you have no idea what omegaverse is, I can answer questions if you’d like! (Please feel free to ask anything, I love yapping)

Danny: beta

- I debated with myself a lot on this and I decided to reach the conclusion of beta for many reasons. Let me first explain why I crossed out omega and alpha tho

- I thought of omega first because he just checked all of the boxes for a stereotypical omega in a fanfic: underdog, weak, somewhat trans-coded, twink. However, I disliked it bc I don’t think Danny himself fits as an omega with him being a ghost. It seemed a little too on-the-nose and I personally didn’t like it that much. I wanted Danny’s ghost form to be the reverse of Danny’s human side, so if he was an omega as a human, he would be an alpha as a ghost. However, I feel like Danny being an alpha when he is Phantom wouldn’t be that suitable with the headcanons I have, so I scrapped that.

- Moving onto alphas, he lowkey fit the idea of the “runt” alpha who becomes stronger later on. It would kinda work if his ghost self was the opposite of his alpha human self too, because he is death and “omega” is the last letter of the Greek alphabet, which could also mean the “end” or death. But thinking of the episode where he splits into two versions of himself, his ghost self doesn’t really give off omega vibes. It didn’t work in my head either.

- However, then I had the thought of ‘would a ghost even have pheromones?’ So therefore, he is a beta when he is human, and he is nothing when he is Phantom. I liked the idea of him being a beta bc betas are often overlooked and I think Danny being a beta would make sense when you think of the other characters in the series. With this, it also makes it easier for me to assign roles for the other two in the Everlasting Trio so they can be an alpha-beta-omega pack.

- His status as a beta means that he is often the mediator between Sam and Tucker. Being a beta makes Danny very neutral, meaning he is impartial when dealing with conflicts.

- Danny smells like mud, rain, dirt, and lightning (ozone). He has a very neutral scent that can be both uncomfortable (dirt and mud) and very relaxing (rain) as well as frightening (ozone). When he gets his ice powers, he probably gets a dash of mint in his scent too.

Sam: alpha and Tucker: omega

- I don’t really ship them together btw, unless it’s a throuple with Danny too

- I thought about the reverse (with Sam being the omega and Tucker being the alpha) and decided not to choose that due to Tucker. Sam would be fine and cool either way; if she was an omega, she would be strong and independent. If she was an alpha, she was cool and badass. If Tucker was an alpha tho, he’d just be more of a creep when you think about him and girls. Therefore, I made him an omega to soften him up.

- Making them both the same designation didn't seem right and I feel like the vibes would be iffy. It would also kind of exclude Danny in a way.

- When thinking about Tucker’s jealousy, it probably started because Danny found a way for him to get attention even tho he has a “boring” status like a beta. Perhaps he thought that he and Danny were in the same boat as being losers, but since Danny found Phantom, he grew jealous of the fact that Danny was able to change social statuses as a hero.

- When thinking of alpha as the beginning of the Greek alphabet and omega as the end, it also fits with both of Sam and Tucker’s themes, since Sam works with plants (life) and Tucker has Egyptian motifs (death, since the Egyptians honored death).

- Sam smells like flowers, plants, and herbs. A really spicy and thick scent, but also extremely calming. Tucker smells like sand, metal, and spices, specifically coriander, turmeric, and cardamom. He doesn’t have a soft scent like most omegas, so that’s partially why no girls will approach him. (Bro’s also got no rizz). At times, they also smell like mud or dirt.

Jazz: alpha

- This fits in perfectly with my hc that Jason is an omega lmao

- Usually, omegas are seen as very maternal. While I make Jazz really guardian-like and parental when dealing with her family, I don’t exactly see her as maternal, mostly because I see her as “sibling who steps in when the parents cannot”, rather than an actual parental figure that Danny looks up to. That is bc the maternal role involves a little more love and care (stereotypically, at least) and while I do believe that the Fentons were neglectful, I believe that Danny was still raised with some affection by his parents, so Jazz never had to step in that role. From what I’ve seen and interpreted, Danny’s main danger growing up was the ghosts and the death traps he was surrounded in. Jazz mainly stepped in to protect him when Maddie and Jack left him alone, so I believe that she would be an alpha, which embodies the role of the protector.

- Jazz is also often seen as the “perfect” daughter or student. Being an alpha would only emphasize that, so it also works out. It also works with her overprotectiveness.

- She smells like oceans/sea salt, sand, and vanilla. I’ve been headcanoning her scent to be this combo for way too long. Her scent is pretty strong, but also very calming. If Shadow was with her, she would also smell of mud and dirt.

Jack: alpha and Maddie: omega

- Debated whether or not to make Maddie an alpha as well, but Vlad held me back. I just felt like he wouldn’t be as obsessed with Maddie if she was an alpha, especially bc he’s so controlling and she would probably fight back (and she technically does, but I think you know what I mean?)

- Maddie being an omega would also make sense when you think of the fact that both Vlad and Jack are (one-sidedly) fighting over her.

- Jack and Maddie are the stereotypical couple, but also really non-stereotypical alphas and omegas.

- Jack smells like chocolate, garlic, metal, and motor oil. He has a really pungent scent and that affects how others see him as well. Maddie smells like flowers, peaches, and machinery, with a hint of honey when dealing with her kids.

Vlad: beta

- It makes him being jealous of Jack make sense a little more since he’s insecure of his own status and the fact that Maddie and Jack were “made for each other.”

- He is extremely insecure about being a beta bc he believes that it hindered him from doing a lot of things, one of them being the ability to mate with Maddie. However, he also has an inferiority complex that started with Jack and strengthened with Danny bc he seemed really secure in his own designation, unlike Vlad.

- He smells like blood and a mixture of tea. Ever since he became a halfa though, he smells like mud, dirt, and diet cola (💀).

Dan: nothing and Dani: beta

- Since Dan is 100% ghost, he technically has no scent. However, if he had a human form, he would be a beta.

- Dani smells like chemicals, rain, mud, and dirt. Her scent is mostly artificial, but she still has enough of a scent that she seems real. Dan would smell like blood, ash, smoke, and mud, an extremely overpowering and worrisome scent. When he’s with his sisters tho, the ash and smoke would wash away and he smells somewhat of a campfire and pine.

Valerie: omega

Paulina and Dash: alpha, Kwan and Star: beta

Wes: alpha

Extras:

- Mud and dirt is a tell-tale sign of liminality (because it represents the dirt around a grave). Of course, the smell of dirt and mud is different for everyone. Danny has a really strong scent of mud, but his is loamy and healthy, while Vlad’s scent is more clay-like and not very strong, since he isn’t a very healthy ghost (so no healthy soil) imo.

- All ghosts technically are nothing, since they lose their designation/secondary gender when they die. However, if strong enough, they can give off a “memory” of their old status and scare humans or other ghosts. Most ghosts powerful enough to do this are usually alphas or omegas.

- Ghosts are probably more terrifying than usual due to the fact that most people are really dependent on their sense of smell to find each other. So since ghosts have no scent, they’re creepier than usual.

- Danny used to only have a small pack that consisted of Sam and Tucker, but after becoming Phantom, his pack grew. They all smell a bit like loamy soil. Despite how he has alphas in his pack, he is considered the leader and they all listen to him.

- Everything else is the same as usual, like heats, ruts, bonding, mating, etc. However, most ghosts are extremely respectful about bonding and mates because it is considered important in life and they respect that. That means that when Danny is spending time with Sam or Tucker during their heat or rut, most ghosts will take that as time off too.

- Jazz and Sam lowkey butted heads due to their alpha statuses, but after they became friends, they bonded over shared issues like being female alphas and protecting Danny.

- Was looking through Tumblr for more DP x omegaverse posts to see if anyone else had the same thoughts I did and I found this post by halfagone that was definitely very interesting! I recommend reading it, since it’s not very long and it introduces fraids in a way

Muriel had been doing what they always do best: Organizing. As a Scrivener of the 37th class, Muriel has a lot of experience with organizing, especially since everyone up there always loves it when things are neat and orderly and has no signs of anyone going through it. 

Everything looks the same, and everything, even the labels, are by memory. Nothing is different between shelves. 

This, however, is such a wonder. Colorful, and so diverse, like the Humans are, and how the Angels in Heaven had tried to be. After everyone figured that She loved the humans so much more than she did her Angels, it became all the craze, to take their Form and cherish it just as She had– and the Demons were a mockery of Her design.

However, these books were not by Her design. At least, not directly. These are by the hands of so many different humans.

Muriel radiates Love into every piece of parchment they touch, and makes sure that an equal amount of care and a good dose of miracles are doused on every page to keep it fresh and crisp for when Aziraphale comes back– and for when Crowley decides to visit.

Neither of which has happened for the past six months, which makes this place… rather lonely.

Still, Muriel is an Angel, and she has lots of Love to give.

Their daily routine of rearranging all the books in the bookshop from A to Z and sometimes spicing it up with Z to A is cut off by a sudden sound behind them. They jump, and admittedly they yelp, when the sound echoes at the door and even rings the bell a little.

Muriel approaches the door, and opens it, only to see a Demon at the other side. “Hello! Might I come in? Just a regular check up to make sure the coast is clear of the demon Crowley!” He says in a chipper tone, waving his hands at Muriel.

They blink. “Oh, uhm, I’m not supposed to be welcoming people willy nilly into the bookshop, sorry!” Muriel says with a polite grimace.

“Ah! No that’s perfectly alright,” They wave their hand placatingly at Muriel. “Just need your word that you haven’t seen the guy in a good while now. Also your name, for documentation purposes.”

Muriel smiles. “Ah! Yes. I’m Muriel.” Then they blink. “My word?”

“Well of course! You’re an Angel, Angels don’t lie.”

Muriel blinks, “Oh, oh yes thank you. You’re quite right about that!” Muriel clears their throat. “Well, Demon–” they blink, “Sorry what was your name again?”

“Eric. Eric the Disposable Demon.” He tells them.

They frown. “That’s not very nice.”

“Well it’s true! Pretty disposable.” They pat their chest, “And Proud!”

“Ah, right. Sorry, Pride is not one of my strong suits!”

Eric nods. “Of course, you’re an Angel after all.” Eric laughs. “Now, uhm, word please?”

“Ah! Yes, of course.” Muriel clears their throat. “Disposable Demon Eric,” Muriel says in a booming voice. “This Embassy of Heaven is Clear of any Threat– there has been no signs of the Demon Crowley in months now!” They announce.

The demon nods. “Great! Terrible meeting you.” He waves, and steps back.

“Wonderful meeting you Eric!” Muriel says, and shuts the door.

Hello hello! ...Dorry for my last ask. Got a bit overexcited and brainspewed all over your inbox.

Guess who's gotten into Ultrakill thanks to you! I'm definately not complaining, that's for sure.

So... I have decided to spice things up with a bit of a Ultrakill ramble instead of my usual Papyrus Nonsense (Does this mean I'm no longer the Pap Anon? The sacrifices I make for new blorbos... /lh)

One thing that I noticed was that I couldn't find a single role reversal fic. Which is fair. The Idoits (aka Gab and V1) are Too Damn Similar to just swap without making it the practically exact same story. So.... I came up with an idea. What if the setting was a "holy crusade" type of story? The angels culling humanity on the surface instead of machines in Hell? And the machines (either previously made for OG purpose or made specifically to fight the angels) have been sent out by humanity in defense? I just think it would be neat.

Side ramble from story ideas since that's the only one I've got, but something that interests me is... how do the machines WORK? I know there's.meant to be suspension of disbelief and all that but I want to Know. Do they have little suction holes all over their plating to suck in the blood? Does the blood work like with humans, only they lack the ability to regenerate that blood? Or is it that the blood works more like oil for a car? And the concept. Oh wow the concept. Imagine being in a weapon design commitee or whatever they have and some saying "you know what would be really messed up?" and everybody just nodding along and saying what a good idea that was?

- No Longer Just Pap Anon

Hehe hello there Pap Anon. :D I’m so happy I got you into Ultrakill. I’ll reply to your other asks too, I’m sorry it took so long. ;_;

I guess you’re both the Pap and Ultrakill anon now? Nice. ^^

Now that I think about it, what would a combination of both games be called? Underkill? Ultratale? Both sound pretty great.

Yessss I love how similar Gabriel and V1 are, while having the opposite goals. Both of them are, or now were, pawns to a higher force (the humans and the angel Council) and tend to act on instinct. Their dynamic is fascinating to me.

Ooh! I love the idea for this AU so much. :o Maybe in this world, humanity didn’t destroy itself with war and making the war machines, and managed to live on somewhat peacefully. But the Council didn’t like that and sent an army of angels, including Gabriel, to purge the humans. Would be very messed up if the angels sent down had to consume blood to survive too. Humanity’s last-ditch effort to survive was to send machines to fight the angels, and V1 being the last and most powerful weapon they made. V1 and Gabriel meet and fight like they do in the game, only on Earth instead of in Hell. ^^

On the topic of how the machines work, the game says that all machines who aren’t V1 have a “separate blood refueling process”, though it’s never specified what it is. V1 is unique that he’s the only machine that can absorb blood through his metal plating. So maybe V1 has very tiny suction holes on his plating to absorb blood. But the other machines might have to stop and siphon the blood into them somehow. I like to think they have some kind of blood vacuum, but I still need to give it more thought.

Also I think blood is actual fuel for them, due to the tagline “blood is fuel”. It’s mostly like gas for cars, they need it to keep moving. I've seen some people depict machines as having tubes as veins for blood in their bodies, or having parts that look like metallic human organs, which are amazing ideas, but I don't know how canon that is.

And honestly, the humans should have seen this coming. Imagine making powerful machines that NEED blood to survive and not expecting anything to go wrong. Then again, I guess humanity in real life isn’t any less foolish sometimes. But hopefully we won’t make something as awful as blood machines.

Some quick questions about the cinderkin au,

Aaa thank you so much! Luz will remain human with a few small differences in her design just to spice things up a bit, like a slightly different hairstyle or something. I'm thinking by the end of the 'series', she would start to grow very small scales and horns, since in this AU, humans sorta absorb the magic from the isles the longer they stay there. - Which is also why Belos is gonna be very spiky and draconic, since he's been there for 400+ years. Neither of them will ever be able to grow a tail, though, which sets them aside from true cinderkin. Luz will also gain a titan form at the end, with the titans' designs being slightly more draconic than they already are. Not sure what you mean by signature outfits. If you mean their own unique outfits representing their individual selves, then yeah! Sadly the only outfit I've really done so far is Hunter's Ashen Warrior (or, Golden Guard) uniform. I have been messing around with outfits for the other characters in the meantime, but nothing has really stuck. I hope to get my butt back in shape and work on that again soon :D I doubt I'd ever have the motivation to do something as complex and high-effort as a comic, but I do really want to write a fan fic at the very least! Writing can be stressful on me too though, but hopefully by time this AU is done and ready to be written out, I'll be fine :) I don't think I've ever written this out publically before, but here's the basic plot I'm going for. Things may be subject to change, of course, as it's only a heavy WIP right now: Lilith Clawthorne, an ice-breathing cinderkin and Head of the Emperor's Dynasty, mysteriously vanishes and is pronounced dead later by the Emperor. Hunter must take Lilith's place as Dynasty Head, being in next of line. Luz, who has just arrived on The Boiling Isles a couple weeks prior, notices some odd and distressing behaviour from Eda, who feels both immense guilt for Lilith's disappearance as well as anger at the sister who had cursed her so long ago. Despite Eda's confusing emotions, Luz decides to head out in search of information about Lilith's disappearance, as the sudden-ness and silence of the situation is beginning to arouse suspicion in both her and her mentor. Her first suspect: The Ashen Warrior. From what she knows about him and his constant squabbling with Lilith according to Eda, she believes he may have had something to do with this. It doesn't help his image, either, that everyone knew he was second in line if anything were to happen to Lilith. Perhaps he was power-hungry, and murdered her for his own gain, to move up even more in the Dynasty's hierarchy. Or, is there something bigger going on here? Luz and her friends take the risk that no one else will, to find out what's really going on here.

Huntikmas Day 2- The team as build a bears

Sophie:

Sophie is Pawlette obviously, always the go to model BaB use to display their more sophisticated costumes and outfit designs. In terms of clothing I've gone for Sophie's more random style, she's got a pink shirt to get the colour in and a denim skirt which is kind of similar to the one she wears in show. And the converses she gets to keep but I suppose the laces should probably be undone.

Dante:

Based on a classic, back from the dead, everybody wants him... Dante is Pumpkin Kitty! Aside from that the colour scheme also goes very well with Dante's coat and hair and although the cat and pumpkin spice vibe might not quite be right, the other factors were too funny to ignore. Outfit wise there's no way BaB could ever manage the coat and it would be a crime to even try so instead we've gone for casual. Black V-neck, beige trousers and the boots kind of cover like half his wardrobe so it's a good fit.

Lok:

Playful Pup and Lok have the same kind of energy, friendly and a bit naive but equally a very sturdy and solid choice. Obviously Lok would need the Indiana Jones costume so I just had a bit of fun with the rest of his wardrobe. He's got a wholesome shirt but a bit quirky so he's not just got inspirational quotes stuck to his chest, the jeans like the show and the Ireland hoodie to remind him of home. He's also got the rainbow shoes because he is a rainbow himself and deserves the colour.

Zhalia:

Made for the bearcave but has somehow become a favourite with a younger audience, Zhalia is the devil bear. In this comparison obviously Zhalia was made to be an assassin/spy and has somehow ended up on a team predominantly populated by children. Keeping similar to the show, she's just got some jeans boots and a green tank top but when I imagine this all together it looks slightly punky and different which I think works.

Cherit:

Cherit is the timeless bear because who knows how old he is. Not much to say here other than the robes not only give him the white colour, but he also deserves to relax after thousands of years of human nonsense and being fired as a canonball by Eathon Lambert.

Den:

Ngl the main reason for the highland cow as Den is the crazy hair, it's uncanny. I just went a bit nuts with Den because it was really hard to pull an outfit together for him. Starting with the shorts… I can see him wearing them on a beach or something, I think he’d find them funny. Meanwhile the shirt was tricky because Den makes a lot of self confident jokes about being the best but he’s not got an ego, it’s just jokes. I don’t have time to analyse his self esteem issues here but I went for the mothman shirt because it’s the right level between his humour but not over the top. I think the mothman joke distracts from it being all about him. As for the shoes he’s just got some nice simple trainers to tie off this chaotic look.

Harrison:

Zombie frog because he’s been through the wars and he’s always looking rough. I’ve gone with the stranger things T-shirt because we all know how Harrison likes being in a club. I think it also adds to the edgy and antisocial but actually just misunderstood vibe he’s got going on. Black jeans to keep with the aesthetic and the same trainers as Den so they’re matchy matchy.

Honourable mentions!:

I considered the too hot to handle one for Den but going back to the ego thing I decided it was a bit too much. Meanwhile the take you out joke dates back in the Huntik fandom between Dante and Zhalia so it came close.

i know its possible to have vonel wear black as well but i wanted him to stay true to fate's colors (and yes i know there are no bright yellow in papers, please's color palette but shhh)

technically theres more grim reaper spawns, but lets just say vonel never kept track until now or there's a lack of reapers in the human department lol

the inspector still goes by the inspector, but is interchangeable with the reaper or grim

kinda has a similar vibe to the meta, please au - but in this case vonel is not fully aware of inspector's repeating lives thanks to jorji (mortimer)

initially they were restricted to just managing fates in arstotzka, but i wanted to raise the stakes :]

vonel is aeons old. inspector is at max 28ish office-days old and vonel made him with sugar, spice, human eyes and store-bought lemons mixed in a brewing pot <3

anywho, for anyone trying to understand all this, basically vonel designs what is called the great dying as an attempt to eradicate humanity, so that the office ceases to operate and exist and that he could finally rest from his aeons work loop. he fakes the equilibrium rule and holds a facade to trick inspector to blindly follow his orders that would lead to the great dying. inspector can choose to either loyally obey his orders, rebel and help build humanity into a utopia and takeover vonel's role as he resigns, fuck shit up completely and get fired, create an actual equilibrium, or rebel and kill vonel.

So I decided to look at some old Inanimate Insanity humanizations I did a couple years back. I'm pretty sure I did these RIGHT when season 3 released. Good times-

Off to a great start...the soap hair tie is almost cute...almost. (also I'd like to mention that I only knew like three types of shoes so you're going to be seeing these once or twice)

It's... Okay. This is one of the better ones we're going to see. Why does she have ballerina shoes???

I was really really bad at drawing guys and was much better at drawing girls (not that that was very good either). Paintbrush being an entirely different thing made me nervous that I was going to make them too masculine or too feminine. I remember being SO proud of myself... And like this one isn't terrible... But why are they wearing ice skates- (they're not supposed to be ice skates but that is NOT lined up)

Not terrible. I think that this still gives Blueberry vibes it's mainly the shoes that are bugging me. But other than that it's not BAD.

I remember one of my cousins called him Caillou, I sobbed... I hate that they were right- I MADE HIM BALD

Did not know how to draw a wheelchairs (still don't but I hope I could do better than THIS) THIS DOESN'T LOOK LIKE CABBY. END OF STORY. I also don't want to talk about the dress- it's bad

I guess I don't hate this one. I don't love it either. This one is pretty much just "I could believe that's test tube" BUT THERE'S NO SPICE

I had this headcannon that one of the cherries was trans which is why they never spoke because they were self-conscious of their voice. Not the worst head Cannon but I just can't see it anymore. These outfits also just suck. And the return of the ice skates-

This is season 1 Taco specifically and the idea was upon show to hide the hands while having her fancy spy outfit underneath. With the little that you can see of the spy outfit it sucks. The top doesn't look super bad I guess. I also gave her little fangs that I decided to make gray for some reason so they blended into her skin.

I remember this one was my absolute FAVORITE like I thought this was peak character design. It's not that good but at the very least it's definitely the most okay one here... Except for the fact that APPLE'S KNEES ARE LIKE 5/8 DOWN HER LEG- WHO BROKE YOUR LEG?!? Also are those green jeans? Also return of the ice skates.

Burn it with fire. I didn't even like this one when I first drew it! I always had plans of redrawing it but I never did. In case you need clarification this is Balloon... In my slight justification for why he's wearing... that. I was originally going to give all of the returning season 3 contestants vacation clothes because they thought they were going on a vacation but I didn't really do this with any of the others so it just looks out of place and ugly.

I saw an ad around the time I drew this that showed a child missing their upper lip. I thought that that would be an interesting design choice for Lifering to to represent the hole in his face. I was correct that it's interesting. It being a good design choice before this art style is a different topic- still like the earring I gave him though.

I hate those fingers. They're so small. I hate it. I remember this was my favorite outfit, and now I don't like it that much. But I guess it's not THAT bad. It's still kinda bad.

This one is honestly just funny to me now. Yin just looks done (I feel you buddy) I really played around with a vitiligo (the reason why they have both pale and dark skin; look it up) and I do like the concept I had of this I just don't think I have the skills at the time to properly pull it off.

_Art Book of Naruto Uzumaki_ Part-3

This appeared on the front cover of the issue of Weekly Shonen Jump in which the serialization of Naruto began. I mainly wanted to establish that this character is a ninja and convey his personality by doing things like putting a leaf on his head, having him make a hand sign, making him look cheerful...but putting all these elements into one picture ended up making it appear jumbled. Also, I used a coloring pen called a COPIC marker here for the first time, and because I wasn't used to it yet, I colored little by little as if I were using a brush. As a result, the coloring came out oneven.

Here's another one I drew for a shonen jump commemorating the second anniversary of the Naruto series. Naruto's making peace signs, but holding up two fingers also represents the number 2, for the second anniversary (laugh). When I was drawing this picture my schedule was so tight that my editor suggested, "Maybe it'd be easier to do a design where Naruto is appearing out of smoke!" As it turned out. It was difficult drawing the right amount of smoke to cover Naruto's body (laugh). I just couldn't decide how much of Naruto should be hidden or visible, or how to show him emerging from the smoke. The bluish color of the smoke was used to make Naruto stand out. I usually use this kind of color scheme so that Naruto's orange outfit will "pop".

In this volume, Tsunade appears along with Jiraya and Orochimaru, and Naruto gets tangled up with them. So I drew those Three Legendary Ninja on the book cover. I put Naruto on the cover became I had to, more than for any other reason (laugh).

I wanted Naruto in some kind of pose, so after some agonizing, I had him make the formal greeting of the yakuza from the movie Jingi. I've seen many of the flims in the Jingi movie series, and I like those kinds of Japanese modes and customs. [ Jingi is a Yakuza series that describes humanity, justice, and moral relationships between a boss and his henchman, or a master and his pupil. ED]

This dragon head actually exists in China.

There's a dragon on top of the roof tiles of the wall of a house or something.

That image was so impressive to me that I wanted to put it on top of a roof, not just a wall.

The top of the roof tiles form the backbone of the dragon, and it connects the dragon's tail and face. Naruto and the other three on the roof are wearing sashes. Naruto's sash ties his sword to his back, and the wind is making all the sashes float on the air.

I created this piece based on the catchphrase "Hide your appearance, but don't hide your dream" (the winner of a catchphrase contest held by Weekly Shonen Jump in 2003). Naruto is hidden but his dream is not... I had a really hard time coming up with a composition that would express this idea while sticking to the Naruto style. Boy, this was a handful (laugh). [Naruto's banner reads "Number one under the sun! Hokage Naruto." -Ed.]

I wanted to draw Naruto's hands creating a sign, so l designed this to emphasize his hands. Also, I wanted to show the sign from the side instead of straight on. I like drawing hands, fingers and toes. But they're difficult...and I can't do them very well. Actually, I could've chosen at the beginning to have Naruto wear boots instead of sandals, but I picked sandals because I really wanted to draw toes. It's a major headache for the animators (laugh).

I actually like drawing animals, too. Partially because of Akira Toriyama-sensei's influence on me, I've always felt that a manga artist has to be good at drawing animals. So I've practiced them since junior high school. In this picture, I paid close attention to balancing the layout of the animals. I also wanted to draw some small object to spice up each animal, such as an apron for the dog, a hat for the tanuki (raccoon dog), a bandage for the monkey and a scroll for the weasel. But actually, the bird doesn't have anything... (laugh).

I spent a lot of time drawing this because it was for the cover of the first volume of Naruto. It took me a week just to do the rough draft and about a day and a half to color it. One reason it took so long to color is that I used gouache (a kind of opaque watercolor paint) I had had since college. I personally like gouache because you can use it to give a lot of depth to the colors. I ended up having to redraw the main lines with a precision pen because the paint covered them up. How's that for double work? (laugh).

Thanks for asking! I'm going to answer your question with my main D&D character Hai for this one.

What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)?

Our party needed a tank, so I was thinking of creating a martial character with a strength based stat. You know which (fantasy) race shows up as one of the first options on D&D beyond? Half-orc.

So I chose a Half-Orc, I wanted to really go against the grain of what that fantasy race is associated with, and decided to choose a character with a noble background.

So yeah, that was the beginning into her backstory, and for most of my characters it will probably be backstory!

2. Did you design them with any other characters/OCs from their universe in mind? 

Yes I did! @silly-goofy-mood was creating a character concept more or less at the same time as I was, and we wanted our characters to have some sort of connection prior to campaign. We eventually decided on being exes.

Otherwise, i think I knew that I wanted Hai to have a deity so I was also aware of one god, the God of the Unknown, which was my DM's creation @theccrowsnest!

All other characters and OCs were mostly just figures from the past that only now am I really beginning to flesh out. This consists of a human mother, a human stepfather, an orc father, an orc grandma, and a younger sibling, all which were concepts that I created around Hai.

I don't know if you noticed, but there's already two dads in the equation, three because the God of the Unknown is basically a dad, four if you count the first mate who I'll touch up on later.

3. How did you choose their name? 

I wanted some spice in this fantasy campaign so I went to my heritage, but also be aware that my Chinese is pretty mid.

Hailang = 海浪 (hǎi làng)

Ocean waves. Yep. I named a character ocean waves. But! Consider that it is a pirate campaign so I needed to get even more sea themed stuff.

By the way if you're thinking of naming your character this, don't. Every time someone says "Hi" I don't know if they're talking about my character or greeting me because I'm not with a group of people who know about Mandarin Chinese tones nor do I expect them to. This was shortened to "Hai" because it was a cute nickname in my mind, until of course, reality caught up to me about the "Hi" as a greeting vs "Hai" as a name thing.

Only after I named her did I realize the conflict between the big famous Japanese wave that might be conflated with her name. I did not mean that. Whoops. And also, the Japanese word for indicating “Yes” so. Whoops x2.

Also after I named her, I realized that there's 骇浪 (Trad. 駭浪 Pinyin: hài làng) or “swelling/stormy seas" according to my translator app (can you tell, I'm not that proficient in the language). Well. My character has the personality of someone who's pretty calm so we'll see what happens. Will she start becoming more akin to those stormy seas or stay the way she is? I'm asking because I don't know either.

Saangbiar = “上边儿” trad: “上邊兒” (sǎng - An incorrect interpretation of the Wu dialect, biār - erhua Northern/Beijing Dialect)

Yeah. If I stuck to an actual Wu Chinese dialect, her last name would be "Zabiar," as zɑ̃ would be the correct tone for 上, so that's my bad.

Originally, I was going to have Hai's last name be from the north, as it means "above," but uh then my DM's map came out and I realized the location from where that last name came from would be the south.

Fair, because I also tried to use the Wu dialect, which is a much more south-eastern dialect of Chinese, in her name. Did I want to change her entire name of "above" to "below" just to fit the standards of a fantasy land? No, not really. Plus, I was getting kind of attached to it already, with the funky non-pinyin type spelling Frankenstein of two Chinese dialects that are part of my heritage (tho I messed up one I apologize to everyone on that side of the fam).

And that is how I got her name.

19. What is your favorite fact about your OC?

Ooo, great question. Fun fact, Hai's favorite fruit is oranges because the island that all the orcs are from produces those. She's got memories of sharing the pieces between her and her grandma (orc dad's side, 奶奶, iykyk).

She also shares these with the First Mate of the ship, @wall-e-gorl's character. Pirates you know, gotta keep up the citrus fruits lest the scurvy gets you, matey.

Days 9 to 12! I still have to catch up to today's prompts but I'm getting there. I had fun designing the norse gods but it was a bit hurried so I might change some stuff in the future. Also I'm proud of how Rhia turned out! I tried spicing up her armor but didn't have time to do the armor for her horse-half lol. Anyways here's the info!

Day 9: King Oberon. It's the turn for the king of faeries! Married to the queen Titania and father of Faeye. Rather small compared to the other fae, the rumors are that he wasn't one originally, loosing his humanity in exchange for power. Although he's a king, the extent of what he can do is rather limited compared to his wife. He is not "morally better" either, as Oberon can be as chaotic and cruel as Titania, but he is comparatively more calm and lazy. His appearance changes alongside Titania's, but always matching her aesthetic. Not out of free will, but as a sign of how Titania has him and his "soul" on a tight leash.

Day 10: Rhiannon. The bodyguard. Coming from a long line of royal guards serving for the fae royalty, she's tasked to be Faeye's bodyguard. She doesn't hate Faeye but they don't get along well, since the princess uses her as an emotional dump and doesn't take her guard's duty seriously. Rhia's job turns even more difficult if Faeye decides to escape to the human realm to cause chaos and she has to look for her. Rhiannon is a righteous, loyal and brave knight, but easily becomes flustered when in the presence of her crush who happens to be a bar maid. Her goal is to surpass her ancestors and become the best knight in the fae realm.

Day 11: Tor. The God of Thunder. He's courageous, strong-willed and quick-tempered but also jovial. He's not an evil character but in my story he serves sort of an antagonistic nature at the beginning since he hunts down huldras for fun. He doesn't care about much other than big feasts, battling strong opponents and having a good time.

Day 12: Loke. The god of chaos. Deceitful, mischievous, cunning and the greatest trickster. He just wants to watch the world burn. Another antagonist and the villain for the first arc of my comic. He wants to start a few wars and stop Hilda and her friends from obtaining the artifacts, but tries to stay anonymous throughout the events so as not get caught and punished by Odin.

I've been binging Danny Phantom x DC Comics content for a while now, but I want to add for consideration something different.

Street Fighter (and by extension Capcom in general) x DC

Like there are so many different things you can do with Batman alone given how he travelled the world to learn every single fighting style, you think he wouldn't seek out Gouken or Goutetsu to learn the Ansatsuken depending on when you want this to occur in the timeline.

Hell maybe Wayne's and the Master's families were at least friends and thus Ken recommended Bruce to come train under Gouken with him sometime after Bruce was orphaned.

Or maybe if you wanna spice it up a bit, Bruce sends Dick or Jason while they're still Robin to train under Gouken sometime around the same point Ryu and Ken were.

Like every criminal is laughing until Batman or one of his kids fires a Bat-Hadouken because they're intentionally holding back.

Maybe he learned from Goutetsu and later sent one of his children to Gouken to learn the less lethal version of the Assassination Fist.

Hell given the moves are designed for assassination, would the League of Assassins know them? Better question, would they by extension know how to tap into the Satsui no Hado?

I mean the Ansatsuken style is a common way in Street Fighter and heavily associated with the Dark Hado, but it's not directly tied to it but like any style in general designed for killing can tap into it.

Would this also extend to other assassins by that logic or is there a certain threshold for losing your humanity?

Furthermore here's a potentially fun concept. You know that trope in fics where Jason suffers from Pit Madness and such? That, but replace it with the Satsui no Hado.

Maybe Jason gives into it to survive the explosion that "killed" him, maybe he learns how to control it by the League of Assassins or possibly even Akuma if you wanna lean into that angle?

This also isn't getting into other shit Street Fighter would drag into DC along with it like Psycho Power, M. Bison in general, and most notably... Darkstalkers.

Like I am now just picturing the shenanigans that will come from Batman being believed to be a Darkstalker (the fact he could the Satsui no Hado so he might not register as completely human anymore does not help), so Baby Bonnie Hood/B.B. Hood/Bulleta, a Darkhunter who hunt them for a living, decides to go after Gotham's Dark Knight. Hilarity ensues.

Anyway Street Fighter/Darkstalkers would both fit right in with the usual chaos of DC and also open the door to further shenanigans depending on what you wanna do with the pieces and how you want them to interact.

I know it's a whiplash but seriously:

I was a weird kid. I was a lot. And yet never did my parents make me feel like I was wrong. They pointed out that I did things differently, or liked different things, and that the things I liked and did might not match up with what other people thought someone like me should do. But mostly they let me do what made me happy, to an appropriate extent.

They never mocked me when I was caught up in a world of elaborate fantasy. I went on lots of "adventures" to the point where I still call any unexpected journey, especially one I get to choose, be it to the 7-11 or the pharmacy, an "adventure," because it shakes up the day a bit.

They didn't shield me from some social consequences of being weird but they taught me that being myself was really more important. And they never asked me Why aren't you like them?

In fact, as the years have gone on and I've struggled with my mental and physical health, with employment, with my sexuality and my body, with living close to poverty, with everything - I have been the one asking my parents Are you ashamed I'm not like them? in regards to their friends' kids. Not a doctor, not a lawyer, not a mom?

And every single time, No. You're the one we love. You are on a journey that is uniquely yours and we are blessed to be a part of it. Unconditionally, without a second thought.

And as the designated "weirdo" in all of my growing-up-school years, I would have been EP's friend in an instant. We could have bonded over our short haircuts and picky eating and been the two weirdos together. Then neither of us would have been alone.

... and I guess we end this part same as we did the last one, with me super bummed and marginally more educated about Canadian history.

So I saw that dude that Vivzie did (Adam dude who looks wack as hell) and was like "You know what? No ❤️" and did my take on the idea that was made for the dude.

According to this post that I found, he is supposed to be an angel that is a rockstar. His OG design looks nothing like a rockstar's so I decided to ✨️spice it up a little (as well as my take on how Hazbin Hotel would go (basically a reboot tbh-))✨️.

My reasoning for why he has those horns is so that he can disguise himself better as a demon on Extermination day, since he can't create horns by himself for his demon disguise thanks to the limitations to his power and body.

Every year he changes his human disguise so that he doesn't risk dying to demons so ye. Also, picture above is one of his many human disguises because his true appearance is really horrifying and he does not want anyone to see who he really is.

Also, something I remembered while seeing canon Adam's horns and concept idea: Rock music is usually related to demons, so I decided to play a little bit with that idea.

Reasoning why there is Extermination Day in my book? Adam wants to get rid of those beings who he deems are the reason of his downfall (Yes, in my book he is THE Adam) plus he is horrified that the humans that came after him have gone worse so thanks to the permission of God (there was a literal War according to the Bible, God is a Chaotic Neutral tbh-) he kills the demons in hell.

Btw, Lucifer develops a soft spot for the humans because he adores how his evilness still resides in the humans even after Jesus came into the picture but also hates them because they were the reason why he is down in Hell in the first place and couldn't care less if they were getting exterminated while Adam just straight up hates Lucifer and hopes to kill him during one of these Extermination Days.

Also, when he finds out Charlie is trying to redeem demons, he just laughs but decides to disguise himself and go down there to see how it's going. He finds it hilarious how Charlie, the literal princess of hell, thinks they can redeem horrible people, but also finds it endearing how she thinks that she can possibly try and bring out the good in people, demons specifically.

I hope y'all like my take on this concept and my kinda redesign on how Hazbin Hotel would go! ^^

The Gods.

hihihihihihi, so basically this is mostly for @star-realities but im making it public cause yes. hope this is helpful so basically, im writing a book series, and my big idea was to make design gods for the world inspired by me and the friends i created the world for. there've been multiple versions of this series but the very first was based on me and 3 of my friends. I found it fitting to make us the gods of the world because if it weren't for us, the book nor the world it takes place in would exist.

so these are us, i made the photos on picrew (@/hunbloom). but anyways here's the actual lore. basically Achaii woke up one day bored as hell and said "damn, this thing we live in is bland as hell. imma spice it up" and grabbed their paintbrush and made the sky. Legends say they still paint the sky every night and morning.

Evanitis saw this and joined in making greenery. The two enjoyed their freedom and the other two watched. Zacharaea and Maion never really liked each other but they both loved Ace and Evan. Then Zach wanted to join in, so he and Evan made fire by accident. Zach, overwhelmed by pride cried, and Ace stepped in to make the oceans and rivers to store the tears of Zach and later on the others. The tear thing is important later. Mae blew the fire out to keep it from spreading, they all knew the power that their creations had.

After Mae had blown out the fire, the earth parted. Evan fixed it to be somewhat uniform afterward. (goodbye Pangea) They called their island Te Etearia Isle, later changed to The Ethereal Isles. Located off the southern coast of France.

After this, Evan created an herb he was fond of and decided to burn it, after he burnt it, he began creating whatever the fuck he wanted (yes, i'm implying he made weed)

One night the deities came together to create the first humans. They loved each other in VARIOUS different ways but it got lonely when it was just the 4 of them. Mae worked out the fine tuning of humans. Two arms, two legs, two lungs, a head, brain, and heart. Of course and so on. Each one of their first humans had their own special features but i haven't worked them all out yet.

Anyways, back to the tears thing. In my story, on their side (there's their realm and our side aka the boring non magic side) there are four bodies of water that are considered Tears of a God, which is written in Latin but I don't have a perfect translation for it yet. These bodies of water have special properties that vary depending on which god cried into them. They're all salt water cause yk, they're tears.

I have one for everyone but Evan, the only thing I know about his is that it's like The Yellow River in China, it's rough and prone to flooding for a very specific reason. But that reason is written in my history notebook that i left in my locker at school.

Ace's (well mine) is called Mourner's Peak, where there's multiple little ponds (or maybe geysers idk yet) each one evokes a different emotion. Mostly negative, but some positive.

Zach's is the original pond Ace had made for him to cry into when they made fire for the first time. That is the main portal, his tears make it possible to travel from each realm easily.

Mae's in a deep deep saltwater pond, under it is the cave where she locked away the other three gods. They're stuck under there for thousands of years.

also, the star over bethlehem where people say jesus was born is where the big fight between Mae and the others happened. The star was Ace fighting cause yk they're the deity of the cosmos and celestial magic. Also toying with the idea I wrote the bible as a joke and someone found it after we locked away and then continued it lmao.
