Batboys x reader who is a game/singer streamer
So I'm assuming that s/o is a singer + game streamer from what I can see soooo yeah! I think I went to focus on the gamer part than singer though. Also I could only do this for Dick, Jason and Tim because 😭 sorry ;-;;;
TT o TT
Batboys with a game (mostly) + singer s/o
Dick Grayson
Don’t even get me started on how hype Dick’s gonna be. You game??? And stream?????? Epic-
Dick has played video games with Tim before it’s just that he sucks at playing the modern one sometimes-, so he probably wants to do co-ops with you and maybe join your streams and play with you.
He sucks ASS though in Among Us because he’s bad at lying when he’s imposter and too trusting when he’s just a crew mate. He’s so funny though when you record him while playing with you and your other streamer friends.
“Awww, look at me and s/o walking together and building snowmen! We are so—”
*Kills him* “…” “s/O WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME ARE YOU TRYING TO BREAK UP WITH MEEEEEEE????”*loud sobbing*
Obviously, no, it’s just what you had to do as an imposter and you have to apologise to your sulky boyfriend.
Fun fact: bought your two of those matching cat ears headphones and he’s so sappy, dear god- he loves those earphones.
Also your voice?? IT’S SO GOOD??? You made your own songs and that’s so cool!! No wonder your fanbase is so big, damn-
And he’s obviously your biggest fan! <
Jason Todd
He’s trying, he really is. Because the last thing he played before he died were Game Boys and then he awoken to Wii Games, Nintendo Switches and whatever the fuck those online games are.
Those sus game ads he clicked randomly made him question what happened when he was still dead-
Jason thinks it’s pretty cool you stream gaming content and all, although don’t ask him to play any RPG with you because he’ll rage quit. He will go insane.
Jason keeps insisting on wanting to join your streams in Among Us but like come on- WE ALL KNOW HE’S GONNA START RAGING MORE-
When he gets killed, he calls the imposter a “Joker” 💀 Sometimes you have to calm him down and tell him it’s their role as imposter to do this. Also, when he gets imposter, he’ll kill everyone except you. Like he’s your bodyguard or something and everyone’s out to get you. You don’t even need to be imposter. If you did kill him before, he’ll kill you back though-
He’s okay if you let him play Minecraft together though, he finds it peaceful (on creative mode).
Listens to your songs on repeat while he’s repairing vehicles or hear it live on your stream when he’s reading. Wholesome supportive boyfriend stuff. <3
Tim Drake
Immediately follows all forms of social media you have, and give subs to every time you go live and stream. No hesitation.
He thinks it’s cool you stream games and all, something he wished to do but just doesn’t have much time to do so, and that he has no idea how to start up a fanbase anyways so-
Tim would join your streams every once in a while to play with you and he doesn’t mind any sort of games, he’s pretty good with the controller… well, maybe RPG. Because if he’s doing a multiplayer game like with Genshin needing to join servers and all, most of the time, people wouldn’t listen to his plans and end up dying and then he goes berserk. Only you listen s/o… wHY?? WHY DOES NOBODY LISTEN TO HIS STRATS????
Also, cat ears headphones?? He has one and he looks so cute in it and would ask if you want one too- he only wears those headphones in private though, or in front of you.
Anyways, Tim loves your singing too! Would listen it live or hear it on Spotify if it’s available. If you sing covers, it’s gonna ruin him. He can’t listen to the original track anymore because it’s just not the same-
Overall, gamer boyfriend you got here. <3

So, I stopped liveblogging after a bit, because I just got absolutely lost in the EVERYTHING that was the OMORI Concert, but holy SHIT. What did everyone think of it? Any favorite pieces???
As I previously mentioned, "Trouble NEVER/ALWAYS" leading into "You Were Wrong. Go Back." was NUTS. The way that the orchestra made it so hype, you'd really think it was the introduction of an evil galactic overlord, rather than some guy throwing a tantrum after his girlfriend broke up with him, haha!
I can not emphasize enough how their rendition of "Trees..." tremendously altered my perception of the song. I liked it a lot before, really, but it wasn't particularly moving to me- just peaceful. This version of the song was so. wow. I struggle to find words for it. Same with "Sugar Star Planetarium" right afterwards. Fucking. Gorgeous.
Also putting "Just Leave Me Alone" and the rest of which I shall now call the Hooligans Suite, as they meshed it together in such an epic and cohesive way, after "Where We Used to Play" was just diabolical. I FELL OUT OF MY SEAT I WAS SO SURPRISED BY THE LOUDNESS, LOL. Speaking of the "Hooligans Suite" the guitarists just. URGH I LOVE THEM. This concert was way more metal than I expected, and I LOVED IT. The entire "Just Leave Me Alone"-"Cram It Wad"-"It Means Everything" was insanely epic, I felt like my heart stopped. Just like Space Boyfriend's theme, using the other Hooligans pieces as buildup to the main boss theme was so, so good. Did Aubrey and her gang such justice, like. I just felt so happy for my girl.
And then they put "Home for Flowers (Empty)" right afterwards, lol. If anyone's curious about how I looked after that sudden mood shift:
Tumblr media
I'm now thoroughly on board of loving World's End Valentine now, because the instrumentation hurts my head less now, with this version, haha.
I am ADMITTEDLY a bit bummed that they didn't perform "Poems in the Fog" and "Forest Frenzy," as I can visualize Music Engine's style for those pieces so well, and I know it would be soooo beautifulll... but oh well...
I'm plesantly surprised that "Swirly 1000x" made the cut!! Very underrated piece, only used for one fight but godDAMN does it hit hard. The guitar 🎸🎸oncccee agaiiin. Crazy.
Also I knowwww it's not the most amazing piece in the world, but the jazz section of The Last Resort could have opened so cool with "Hanging With the Boys" right before that, but it's alright, I'm not gonna lose sleep over it.
The way I laughed when they jumpscared us with the organ for the first time because GoldenVengence was important enough as to demand the need for such a stately instrument, lol!
Can we talk about the clarinet in "Underwater Highway" because oooooghhh bleeeeh dead upon impact. It was so wonderful.... I love that piece already, but they made the descending notes so magical, and tranisitioned into "Squall" so beautifully.
You know what I AM gonna lose sleep over? THEY DIDN'T INCLUDE "H20:HCL" in the underwater section!! That piece is so beautiful... 😭😭
I think I blacked out and entered a trance-like state with everything from "See You Tomorrow" to "Truth." Somewhere within that period, wine and a tissue box appeared magically at my side, lmfao. Small comment in the midst of everything else that was That Section of the concert, but I'm so glad they kept "Gone," because that piece is so necessary for me, within that whole climactic sequence. It just oozes catharsis, it HAS to be included, no matter what.
But yeah anyway, "See You Tomorrow" and "Crossroads" just emanates the warmth of evening in summer. Those songs are laced with something magical, because I can see the orange of sunset so palpably in my mind's eye whenever I hear those pieces. Sweat on my skin, old t-shirts with fruit juice stains on them, other kids shrieking in the streets, being afraid of my neighbor's loud dog, getting pricked by thorns after walking into the forest- that's what those songs sound like to me. I don't get too nostalgic for the past much, but those songs make me feel like I'm a kid again. This rendition captured them perfectly.
Also wow, Basil, I see you and "A Home for Flowers (Daisy)" in the orchestral version, sounding like you jumped directly out of a Ghibli movie. I see you. T_T
Ha-ha-ha when the lights dimmed during "You Must Carry On" I didn't start freaking out at all..ha-ha-ha. What? I would never break out into goosepimples and jitters. Ha-ha-ha. Full body shakes who? I don't know her.
When "OMORI" started playing, a few others in the house who had never played the game and knew little to nothing about it stopped talking amongst themselves and came to watch the TV. It's THAT POIGNANT. I'll be honest, I love love love "DUET" as much as the next OMORI fan, but the song that makes me cry upon hearing it every time was never DUET, it was this one. DUET is a warm resurgance and appreciation for the things left behind, with a slight twinge of regret. "OMORI" is just pure, raw pain. And the string section didn't let me forget ittt hahahaha.
Tears were shed, people (me) were shaking, etc. etc. THANK YOU KAWAI KOTA for your amazing work in acting as Sunny's role amonst the violinists and concertmaster, your solo violin work and passion fully recaptured my feeling of playing the game for the first time, biting my nails with anticipation and heartache at whatever was happening next. Same goes to Kawamura Noriko for her work on piano, just... aaaaaaa!
Also bo en jumpscare!!! I love and respect that one individual in the audience who yelled "hands...!" during "My Time." It's honestly cruel for live orchestra to have the rule of "be silent during the performance!" because I would've had a vein popping if I was there from wanting to sing along so bad. I MEAN. IT'S *THE* SONG. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO SING ALONG TO IT. Lucky for me, I was at home, and got to tipsily sing along to the lyrics from muscle memory, lmao.
I was expecting the choir that I saw filing into view to be for "My Time" that ended up playing later anyway- "Tee-hee Time" was a welcome surprise and amazingly epic!
Anyway that's about it from the top of mt head at the moment!! Please yell at me about what you thought of the concert- I stayed up late, went to sleep, got up again, and am still vibrating about it, lol! This has been the best part of my year so far- no joke.
ALSO WOOO OMORI MANGA. Can't wait for ENG translations- if this adaptation gives Sunny more explicit character voice, I'm not going to shut up about it ever. I won't shut up about it anyway, but I'll be not-shut-upping about it even more.

daily notes - overview of oct 5, 2023
omfg, I'm so tired. Like, we got home before 4pm, and I've been resting these last few hours. It was cool but humid, and I was just a sweaty mess when I got home. Hopped in the shower, then laid on my bed in front of the fan, and caught up on my web comic reading.
This will be the text overview of everything we did. When I get other posts up with images, I will edit and link to those.
First, we stopped by the local bakery I had mentioned on Monday. They probably had less-than-half of their inventory left. I got the very last blueberry-almond "scone", a couple other cookies for me, and some bits for LL-K. (K couldn't make the trip today, because she's busy with work.)
Second, we visited Rooster Brother, a store for cooks and those who love them, as they say. Lots of fun kitchen items, though they were more pricey than I'd prefer. Fun things, but nothing that screamed "must buy!". I did browse some chopsticks, though I was torn between using them as hair sticks or as chopsticks. (One was more decorative, but the other was cute enough for either use.)
There was a whole display of mushroom-themed items, too. The opposite side of that display had other woodland creatures, including deer and owls. They had the very same glass xmas ornament that @vintage-tech once sent me, several years ago - a little fawn, curled up and sleeping.
Next, we visited Riverside Cafe in Ellsworth for lunch. Very tasty, but neither of us could finish everything. (I only had fries left, but LL-J had 1-4th of her sandwich and fries leftover.) The music playlist was very good, though slightly biased towards my high school years. I can only remember 5 of the songs
Jack Johnson - "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing"
Weezer - "Island in the Sun"
Counting Crows - "Long December"
Blues Traveler - "Runaround"
Counting Crows - "Round Here" (I think? It was another CC song, at least)
It was tough to hear the music, so I'm sure there were other songs playing, and I just didn't catch them.
We walked down the road, ducking in The Dream Catcher antique shop next. Lots of pretty visuals, though the aisles were crowded and some display cases didn't show prices well. (There was such cool jewelry!) Because it was a cold and humid day, and they left the doors open, we felt very uncomfortable in that stuffy place. Both of us were tired, so we decided to call it quits when we saw there were another 2 floors to the place.
I bought 3 small dolls and a snake-shaped pendant. They're all cheaply made items, with discoloring and no easy way to remove the clothes. One is an Irish (I assume) souveneir doll, who came with a stand - $12. Then I found a dandy, dapper Rococo man. A little more digging, and I found his lady. Both have sleep eyes and painted feet/legs. They didn't have tags, so the clerk said $10 for the pair. Fine by me!
The snake pendant was $1. It's shape to curl around a marble or gem stone, and even has prongs to help hold it in place. It was empty, found in a dish of tiny pewter figures glued to flattened marbles. So so soooo tiny!
When we left, we both felt awful and tired. We visited a kids' book-and-toy store very quickly, didn't buy anything, then browsed the store windows of some other shops. The two I liked both looked very elaborate and fun. We'll hit one of those first on our next trip, when I have more energy again.
From there, we went to LL Bean's outlet store. They had a big sale on women's pants, so I grabbed a couple pairs. One's like... lounge or athletic wear? The other seemed like casual drawstring pants. I can't describe the texture. Omg, the textures for most of the pants were so bad in that section. So 60% off, I only paid about $35 after taxes for 2 pairs, yay.
Hit up Dunkin's drive-thru on the way out of town. LL-J now knows the glory of the "frozen hot chocolate" - basically a chocolate milk slushy.
We stopped by LL-K's house once we got back in town, to drop off the cookies. She gave me 2 containers of chicken stock that she had made. A couple weeks ago, she had asked where she could find chicken feet, so I helped source some from Neighbor-J and -S's chickens. (They were the couple that ran a general store for a few years. S used to sew cloth diapers as a business, too.) ----------
I hopped in the shower once I got home. Very very tired. Laid in front of the fan for a couple hours, and now I've been typing for like 20 minutes. We left at 10:15am and got home before 4pm. If the weather wasn't so clammy, I think we would've done far better. BUT I still did very good, considering how cheerful and happy this day has been.
Will work on posting photos in multiple posts next. Some stuff at the antique store is worthy of shiftythrifting, but some is not. One item is even from the "we see this too often, so don't submit it anymore" list. My first time seeing one in the wild!

Ooh it's cool that you got to see Bea at Lolla or Maisie and whoever else! If anything, concerts have gotten more expensive than they used to be for me so there have been some I had to pass on too. I have been meaning to listen to the Japanese House album for a while and will soon. I've listened to most of the artists you named and will add the rest to my list too.
Oh I didn't know the Waitress proshot had come out already. Maybe I will check it out. I remember hearing about the Roman Holiday musical but it never went to Broadway or anything so I didn't know too much about it. I just heard the Notebook musical is coming to Broadway in spring so hopefully they've improved it. Those are also such good examples of movies into musicals. I do agree about the cash grabs and like just coming out with or rushing more musicals each year or just making everything a musical just because.
I honestly didn't know what to think of it cuz I didn't even hear about it until recently. I do agree he seemed a little old for her though..I wonder how he will pull off the part. But it at least has potential with the actors since I like them. I actually didn't know there was going to be two..but I remember hearing that Florence Welch was working on the music I think? Or is that the same thing? It could be cool and kinda reminds me of the same vibes as The Wild Party. I never actually read the book..but I remember liking the movie and how glam it was..so the sets could be similar..or have potential. The music might be similar to an older 50s musical or idk. Maybe it would be similar to Moulin Rouge too. I would be pretty excited for it though anyway I think! I would love to hear more about there being two versions too since I didn't know that.
i was telling one of my best friends that it's very unlikely i'll do another music festival soon (although that same friend wants to do a music festival at some point, so i'll probably go with her just so she has someone to go with) because while i had a blast seeing so many people (and was able to justify the cost that way), it was just ... too peopley and too hot etc etc. for my liking! but i love her, and i'll do anything for her, including braving crowds and the heat again haha. glad i did it though, just for the sake of having done one, and for seeing that many people i wouldn't have gotten to see otherwise! and i actually haven't really been a big concert person up until this year, but that's what i've been hearing, unfortunately :( and eeee! i hope you like them!! i'd love to hear your thoughts on their music later 🤍 roman holiday is one of my favorite, favorite movies of all time, so i was super excited for the musical and as much as i love it, it is definitely not broadway ready (and i don't think it ever will be, unless they do an original score). and yes!! here's hoping they reworked the notebook so it's stronger! it's been about a year since it did the tryout, so plenty of time to have worked on it! yes! so there's the gatsby musical by kait kerrigan, jason howland and nathan tysen that's premiering at paper mill playhouse — you might know of kerrigan from kerrigan-lowdermilk (sam brown/the mad ones), howland from little women, and tysen from amelie and tuck everlasting — and that's the one that jerjor and eva are in! i love mad ones (and just kerrigan-lowdermilk's songs in general), and really enjoyed little women, amelie and tuck, so i'm really excited to see what becomes of it! and then the one that florence welch is involved with is the one premiering at the ART in boston! i am just so so excited to see what happens with both, and i think there are a lot of directions they could go in! not to mention, the set and staging — i'm thinking of how they can play with lighting (green light) already and i am just soooo excited. and i just thought of wildhorn & murphy's scott & zelda musical that drew gehling and laura michelle kelly sang songs from too (i have/had audio ... somewhere, i think, and i remember liking what i listened to, but might've lost it when i switched computers). there's so much to play with, and i just think it's really exciting! and now i want to do a gatsby reread!!

Black tea, music discourse!! I'm hoping the tea stuff is supposed to be "go infodump and I'll infodump back", because if not, I'm doing that anyways, fhjsjsj
Okay so. ETUDE A MINOR OP 25 NO 11 BY CHOPIN. (Had to double check that like 5 times, hdjskak, how do people remember these titles)
I found it today through a Chopin biography -> other song -> YouTube comment -> this song rabbit hole, although what's specifically kinda interesting to me is that I ended up listening to a cover of it by Zennetia, which puts it on guitar + metal, THEN two covers by Rousseau and Evgeny Kissin which are actual piano, and the comparison between it and other music I've heard is kinda cool to me?
Zinnetia's especially reminded me of the one Yngwie Malmsteen song I'd listened to a while ago (Blitzkrieg), which I guess makes sense since I'm pretty sure Yngwie was really inspired by classical stuff? (Though I don't know much about him apart from that he was a 80s/90s? guitar virtuoso and that he didn't like donuts (second claim is also dubious)) I kinda hear it in his playing now that I have listened to a few classical songs, though I of course could be wrong since I don't listen to a lot of it, dhsjjaj
But it's also so genuinely fascinating to me to hear Yngwie in Chopin stuff because the first time I listened to Blitzkrieg, it was like a gut reaction of "wow, this is VERY different and new" and now I KNOW where that "newness" in song and riff structure is coming from? And I don't think I would have made the connection without Zinnetia's cover so HUH
Basically I'd love to hear what you think about my rambling if it interests you, dhsjja, also any song recs are very very welcome because I am INTRIGUED by this genre :)) (+ Please tell me if I am typing too much, I have a tendency to do that and not everyone likes to be essay'd at so I understand, haha)
Okok first of all i dont know how people memorize names of classical pieces either, i struggle with that as well. But that specific Etude has a name (thank the gods 😭😭), Winter Wind. I actually tried teaching myself a bit of it but then gave up since it was too hard hdnebnebf
Checked out Blitzkrieg and it kind of reminded me of this one guy’s cover of Shostakovich’s string quartet 8 movement 2. I highly recommend it for you it’s soooo epic! Also listen to a string quartet play it as well.
Speaking of classical-inspired rock, Plug In Baby by Muse was inspires by Bach’s Toccata and Fugue. The guitar riff was taken from approximately 0:45 in the Rousseau video I linked. Muse is also known to be very classical based even though theyre not classically trained, very cool
Sorry it took me a bit to respond, but reading ur rant was definetly worth it 🫶🫶

Storytime - I Saw My Teacher at a Rock Concert!
So what I'm gonna tell you guys just happened two days ago actually! Okay, for a little background...I have two older cousins, and both of them go to school with me. They are also...in a band. The other day, I found out that they were playing at a bar. No alcohol, fyi. And um. I thought that I should go there and support them! Because I've said this a lot but #cousinssupportcousins.
I'm gonna name my cousins Ella and Talia. Now let's talk about my teacher. He teaches Social Studies and...I wouldn't say that he IS my teacher, like technically he is but he's my substitute teacher. Anyway, everyone loves him, he's very popular. I'm gonna call him Mr. Drew.
Soooo my dad and I were going to pick up my grandma, my...older relative and my other relative. Gonna name them Nana and Parsley. This made me super anxious because we left at 3pm. The concert was gonna be in 3 hours and my relatives lived quite far. Like we would always go through a highway in order to get to their home. That's how far. I was soooo terrified. I wanted to put the sign I made to good use. Even though it was just a piece of paper with the words "I❤️ *Band name*"
Now, my dad tried to calm me down, saying that the concert would probably start late. That calmed me down. Little bit. So when my grandma, Nana and Parsley were all gathered at the dining table, we left. I was super duper worried, extremely. There was traffic on the way and in my mind, I was banging on the car window yelling "HURRY UPPPPP!!!!"
We went through the highway, for the first time, I really wanted it to end. I was taking it's BEAUTY for granted. Mind you, it was the first time I have ever seen the highway at sundown. Y'know, cause we would always leave their house by 10pm. Always got a good view of the city lights!
Anyway, I just slept for the whole ride. Thought it might've made time pass by faster.
So when we FINALLY arrived. The bar was located in front of a parking lot. So it was kind of underground. I guess. Idk what I'm saying. I escorted my grandma, I heard a few girls talking in a room nearby. I was infront of what I assumed was the backstage. It was a really cool room with graffiti all over the walls. For some reason, the door was wide open. I don't think it even had a door actually. Parsley left, my grandma was confused whether or not we should enter the bar already and I just froze there. Was so confused.
My dad arrived shortly, he spotted Ella backstage and was like "hEyYyyy, where's your sister? is your dad here?" It ticked me off a little because I wanted to make my attendance a surprise. I ended up greeting her too. She seemed really happy about it. Now, we were about to enter the bar, but dad told Nana, Parsley and my grandma to go somewhere else cause it was very loud. You could just hear the guitars and the...stuff...from outside. They ended up going to a cafe while dad and I went inside.
Talia was sitting there, my dad was like "SAY HI TO HER!", She was also excited. She was like "How'd you find out?!", I told her that I found out about it on instagrammm and it gets kinda blurry from there.
Now, let me describe to you the scenery. It was cold, it was loud, like the sound just stung my heart and a different band was playing at the time. They were covering 3 songs, they were very cool. One of them was that one song. You know, "I'm a creep, I'm a weirdoooo"
My dad, being the rock fan that he is was cheering and whooping. This probably isn't his first rodeo. Anyyyywayyy, there was guitar shredding, there was stuff, there was other stuff and I was so easily impressed by it. Now this is when we get into the real meat into this story.
I spotted a man at the side. He was talking to someone and his mannerisms were energetic and fast. He was just too recognizable, I immediately knew who it was. Mr. Freaking DREW!
Tumblr media
This was how it felt when I saw him. Now, he didn't see me...It took me so much courage to tell my dad that he was here because he's just gonna be like "BRO SAY HI TO HIM" and I didn't wanna do that right away. So when I finally got enough courage, I said "Dad, my teacher is here" and my dad told me to approach him, I just timidly walked toward him and was like "hEeeeEeEeyyy" he was just smiling widely like "oH hiiiii"
Idk if he knows me though, he only substituted my class twice. Anywayz, my cousins band came out, they were all cheering, Talia and Ella's stood up and started filming them. They were good as expected. They covered Ain't It Fun by Paramore (My favorite song when I was in 4th grade) and in one of their performances, the lead singer started SCREAMMING, like screamo type music. I was so impressseeeddd!!!! I also held my sign up with PRIDE! I LOVE IIT!!!
Alright, and after the concert I just ate some salmon, paired with a chocolate latte. VERY GOOD, will eat again.

i’ve been to new england a few times to visit family n stuff and i have to say i ADORE it up there. its just soooo pretty and homey and the noah kahan shout outs ?? its perfect (ik he wasn’t exactly praising it but whtvr😭)
ok ive had a few days to digest it and my favorites are (the rlly sad ones big surprise🙄) So Long London, loml, the smallest man who ever lived, the prophecy, chloe or sam or sophia or marcus, thank you aimee, and Peter and the crazy part is the fact that i’m listing ALL these songs and it isn’t even HALF the album 😭😭
(ALSO I JUST REALIZED YOU GOT A SHOUTOUT IN A TAYLOR SWIFT SONG ??:?;?/? DREAM COME TRUE OMG HAHAHAHA)
you mentioned you loved anti-hero so i reallyyyy suggest listening to Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me? because i consider it to be anti-hero’s brutally honest older sister (and everything abt it is just perfect. the lyrics ??? the production ???)
i’ve been so busy running around for family and friends these past few weeks and i just saw you posted Ding part 3😭😭😭 I CANT WAIT TO READ IT IM SURE ITS AMAZING THE SUMMARY???? SHES GONNA TELL HIM OH MY GODDDD😭😭😭😭 ik what im falling asleep to tonight LMAO
HOPE YOURE DOING AMAZING SAM I LOVE YOUUUU💖🫶✨
~ 🎶
Aw, that makes me so happy 😭 I feel like a psychopath growing up here and loving it here (I truly can't imagine leaving). I know it's all I've ever known but I've visited the south and stuff and it's just not for me. I love my fall weather, my apple picking, my bonfires, and everything. I know a lot of people who live(d) here hate(d) it and I end up feeling like a crazy person around them!
OMG I'm very excited. I can't decide when I want to listen to it. I also want to start with the ones you suggested (but is it a story, is there a certain way to listen to the album--can you tell I'm not a swiftie 😂)
OMG. I NEVER get shoutouts in songs! (Hilary Duff was my idol growing up and her playing a character named Sam in A Cinderella Story (WITH A LOVE INTEREST OF CHAD MICHAEL MURRAY 😍😍) was the closest I'll ever get to fame). That's so cool! I will def listen!
I can't wait to hear what you think about Ding! I am about to start in on part 4 hopefully tonight. First day back after vacation. I'm a bit tired but overall, it could have been a lot worse lol. There's something wrong with 14 year olds these days (or maybe me for teaching them)

1/25-26/2024
thursday - friday
exhausted.
we went to a rave, my friend's set was good as always, i responded more to his music than anyone else's tonight, i danced more than i expected/though and i kind of rolled my ankle, we'll see if that's a sprain tomorrow i guess but i think i'm okay. i was kind of out of it there, not as socially involved as usual i guess, because i kind of wanted to stay home and mix, but when i got back here i think i got the new new new new problem song in a way better place. we'll see though, tomorrow. at the rave, i saw a woman's wardrobe malfunction. it was kind of just sad, she didn't seem to notice or care. it was like seeing deli meat, i know there's people who get off on that kind of thing but that's so scary to me. it really is just all flesh.
there's good news though, today, our application, after being rejected, has now been accepted. so we are moving really soon and stuff and idk if that'll make me miss any diary entries. but we'll see i suppose. just very happy we are not unsure of where we are going, and that we'll be in roughly the same area, maybe somewhere a little more convenient even. might be harder to go for walks at night though i guess. idk. we'll see.
today was also just very frustrating with music, it sucks thinking everything you are doing is awful, but i usually come around, i think i have basically i like the way the song is sounding now but that's fragile, it's so fragile. maybe, if i like it now, i just move onto the other stuff, and i'll get back to it when i hear it again in full context w/ the album which might make it easier to judge.
for the rave, i think my outfit was super cute, but i also didn't take pics, and i also had my legs out and it's so cold and that's an obvious "i want attention" thing and i saw some people look. i complained to my gf that no one did but idk why, because i saw them. maybe not enough or something. i'm not promiscuous, i'm just histrionic maybe. idk. i need to get another good outfit w/ this jane marple sweater thingy though, it's such a good get, i got it in the closetchild in harajuku when we were in japan, it's so cute/nice. it has a sundae knitted into it. #sweet.
it's soooo late, i need to sleep, it's just irresponsible not to. it just kind of bites, i love to see my friends and stuff but not to be with them for hours, and also, even though i like my friend's stuff, there's 2 other sets and the people just do stuff that aggravates me, artistically and stuff. like they make propositions w/ their sets basically, especially the last guy, his thing of trying to be more out there or something, it just doesn't work, it doesn't work to be semi confrontational and then drop crowd pleasing chipmunk trance, you have to do both to the maximum, it has to be sickeningly sweet, and then painful, not sticking siren sounds in before some y2k nostalgia eurotrance-pop reconstruction off soundcloud.
the issue is those people playing dull stuff makes me think i could do better or something, but idk if i could, and i just don't have the heart to make straightforward dance music, i have to make it fucked and weird, and good, i like that, but who else does.
i don't need them but that also means i have no audience, but that's okay, i've only done things on my own anyways, but i'll probably never be on the decks or whatever, especially cuz i only want to make mixes sometimes, it's hard to have enough stuff to have new stuff all the time i think. on that level, i guess, i understand why they play sets how they do, the pulsion towards novelty always means novelty just mean reformulations of the same couple songs, but distinct enough to not make people aware of how bored they are or something. the real drug on the dancefloor is the fantasy that you're doing something cool.
anyway,
byebye!!!!!!!!!!!!

He almost wants to ask— is she still alive, then, since you never had to leave? But the thought of asking that, and receiving any answer actually doesn't... Feel very good, anticipating it, so he doesn't. "There's no one left on that island to go back to," Sonic mumbles to himself, almost too quickly for even the other Sonic to hear.
"I mean, it's been... okay, I guess? I spent most of my life like... Y'know, in hiding, until like... a year ago? No- it's been almost two. Yeah, two! I think. I mean, some stuff happened, but I got to make friends and I don't have to hide anymore!"
He shrugs awkwardly before looking back at the other. Only to be met with confusion. He grins excitedly, seizing the opportunity to shift topics a bit. He'll gladly talk about how cool Mr. Shadow is! "Oh! Yeah! I've never met other Hedgehogs before meeting Mr. Shadow here! He's probably from your world, maybe? Maybe not! But he mentioned knowing, like, another version of me, and he's just— he's just soooo cool, y'know? And nice! He plays baseball with me when I ask! It's awesome! And he's also super fast. I didn't know other people could be fast like me. Every time he enters the room I'm expectin' some cool rock song to start playing- "
Oh. Dear Chaos. He WILL keep going unless interrupted.
The silence only warrants him to pick at his glove cuffs, wondering how impressive that must've sounded to warrant a pause like that. The answer leaves him visibly surprised once the other states he's from Earth. That's definitely a big change! Bigger than he'd had with his previous double. There's a low whistle in response to accentuate that.
Tumblr media
"Wow. I mean, any homes a home, but wow - Earth. Well, I think we found out one difference already - I did stay on Mobius. Grew up on a little island there, actually! Was still there before getting dragged here. Mobius, not the island. You were still on Earth, I'm guessing? How did that.. go?"
He'd been so caught off guard by that that something equally as shocking almost slipped right past him. A bizarre confusion becomes very apparent.
Tumblr media
"Wait. Mr. Shadow?"

OKAY HEAR ME OUT: ✨WARRIOR CATS TEAM STARKID MUSICAL✨
THIS CONTAINS WARRIOR CATS SPOILERS BY THE WAY
Like I know that probably none of the StarKids have even heard of a Warrior Cat, but here are some very important reasons as to why I think this would be an amazing idea. Nick Lang, take notes.
LET FIRESTAR SAY FUCK
StarClan could be added to the StarKid Pantheon alongside the Duck and the Lords in Black
We could see our favourite Team StarKid cast members dressed as characters from Cats
It'd be funny.
So, who would play which characters then?
Well, I haven't thought about the entire cats- I mean, cast yet, but right now I'm thinking Joey Richter could play the protagonist, Firepaw, and Lauren Lopez could play Bluestar, ThunderClan's leader.
Firepaw, especially after he first joins the clans, has very similar to Bug from Starship, and both Life and Status Quo would probably fit right in as a one if his I Want songs. Also, that whole thing about proving your worth to new people and saying no to the status quo just fits perfectly!
Bluestar is played by Lauren specifically because she has the same vibes to Cynthia Houston from Spies are Forever. That's, uh. Basically it honestly.
I would like to note that with casting for Tigerclaw, the main big bad, I don't really know who to cast as him. I'm leaning towards casting either Jeff Blim or Dylan Saunders. Dylan especially because even though we now know him for mainly playing DILFS (Tom Houston from the Hatchetfield series and Ja'far from Twisted), he'd probably bring the same energy that he has playing Pincer from Starship to the character of Tigerclaw. Also, no I will not be apologizing for calling Tom and Ja'far DILFs. I am right, fight me.
I will just like to clarify right now that, because it's very hard to condense 6 whole books into one musical, I'm instead thinking it'd be better to do TWO musicals. The first musical would follow books 1-3, culminating with Tigerclaw's exile, and the second would follow books 4-6. Does that make sense? Cool!
Anyways, plot time! While it would hopefully follow the plot of the first arc, I would like to point out that the beginning would heavily focus on one of Firepaw's, real, CANONICAL MOTIVATIONS for joining ThunderClan. This motivation being: He didn't want to get his balls cut off.
And no, I'm not shitting you. Behold, the scene where Bluestar tells Rusty (Firepaw's name when he was still a houscat) that he will lose his balls if he stays with his twolegs (owners).
Tumblr media
"But Indi, talking about a cats balls might be going too far!!!!!" I hear you yelling. First, Me And My Dick exists, and one of the most iconic scenes from Twisted is literally a bunch of people talking about Prince Achmed fucking a tiger. I think we're fine.
In fact, fuck it, have AN ENTIRE SONG about Rusty not wanting to lose his balls and Bluestar accidentally making it sound like she will personally cut off Rusty's balls if he doesn't join ThunderClan.
Soooo, yeah! That's basically all the ideas I have for now. Hope y'all enjoy my ADHD fuelled rambling!

Highlights from Aftershock Day 1!
First of all, here's the bands I saw: Vended, Crown The Empire, Nothing More, Stone Temple Pilots, Evanescence, and Slipknot!
Vended was really cool! They were a great band to start the festival with. I listened to their entire discography (which isn't very long) prior to seeing them, and really loved what I was hearing! I initally took interest because I'm a huge Slipknot fan, and Griffin Taylor (Vended's singer) is Corey Taylor's son. Similar voices, but definitely a unique band! Lots of energy, they sounded great, and the band put on a good show!
Crown The Empire was fun! I loved being in that crowd, even though it was soooo hot. At one point, the singer requested that people pass up alcohol or weed to the stage, and people complied! Someone threw up a joint, which the band took turns smoking. Unfortunately, in the middle of a song, someone threw up a glass vodka bottle and it hit the singer right in the crotch. 😬 He was surprisingly able to continue the song. I sincerely hope he's okay, but the band was great to watch! They're a recent discovery for me, so I'm looking forward to listening to them more.
I was SO EXCITED to see Nothing More! I've been wanting to see them live since 2017, so that set was a moment in the making for me. They rocked so hard! I felt like death in that crowd, but it was so worth it!! They played during the hottest part of the day, when it was about 94°F/34°C. Everyone was jumping and moving, so that lead to a very hot and sweaty crowd. I was mostly unaffected by the mosh pit, but did have a crowd surfer fall on me 🙃. My back hurt for the remainder of the evening, but I'm fine now. My friend got kicked in the head, and had a headache for a while as well. Still such a great experience. The band was entertaining to watch, and did a lot for us, despite also clearly being affected by the heat.
We had a break between Nothing More and Stone Temple Pilots. I got this amazing Tropical Lemonade smoothie. I had it a few years ago, and had been dreaming of it since lol. So tasty, and very necessary as the heat + sweat was depleting my energy. We sat for a minute before heading over to STP.
Stone Temple Pilots were incredible!! I saw them a few years ago, but admittedly didn't know their music well back then. I got hooked after seeing them perform the first time. This time, my friend and I got to the barrier without difficulties, and were there the entire set. I was singing along to every word, and had a blast. It was so much fun!! The singer touched my hand twice, and at one point was being held up by the crowd within reach of me!! The bassist made eye contact with me, and pointed at me once while I was headbanging and screaming lyrics. So cool! The band killed it like I expected them to.
Immediately after STP was Evanescence. We had to get to the stage as quickly as possible, because those were our only sets without a break between. My friend was determined to get close for them. My dad helped lead us through the crowd when we got to the stage, but we were still pretty far back. Every time people shifted and any space opened up, my friend and I kept moving up. We were able to get really close by the end! Evanescence was amazing!! Amy Lee is a godess. Her voice is incredible. Just killer! She's such a good performer!! I couldn't keep my eyes off her. I knew to expect great things, but was still blown away.
After Evanescence, we had a full hour before Slipknot. We opted to stay at the stage to wait that way we could ensure good spots for Slipknot. This meant that we missed out on Rob Zombie's set, but I've seen him before, my dad has seen him twice, and we still got to see him on the screens. It was actually pretty fun hearing my crowd singing along to Rob Zombie. Hearing Dragula while in a large group is always a good time. The wait for Slipknot was hot, sweaty, and not very pleasant. Though we had space initally, that didn't last. Tons of people pushed their way up to get closer for them. Everyone was really squished, and I kept getting my hair pulled. Also for a while there was this rude woman next to me. She shoved her way up, then proceeded to complain about teenagers being in the crowd, and made a bunch of gatekeeping comments. She also talked smack about holding one's own in a pit. I didn't feel bad for a second when I saw her get swept away in the first mosh pit. 🤷‍️
Slipknot was awesome!! This was my second time seeing them. Like I said, we had close spots. That did not last. People rushed forward and mosh pits formed as soon as the first song began. My friend and I got crushed between people. My dad was slightly separated from us, and ended up pushing his way to us so he could pull us out. Not the scariest pit situation I've been in, but that clearly wasn't going to be a safe place for us. We ended up relocated a bit to the side and slightly further back. It was still a really good view!! I had total view of the screens the entire time, and full view of the stage for about 80% of the set. Slipknot brought the energy!! I was jumping and screaming so much. I'm shocked I didn't give myself a headache from how violently I was headbanging or lose my voice from screaming. Corey Taylor is an excellent front man. He was so engaging with us, and totally completed the experience. Slipknot is a band I would happily see live again.
Overall, it was an exhausting but amazing day! We left the house at 11:30 am and didn't get home until after 11:00 pm. Very long day, but so worth it. My entire body is still a bit tired, but we aren't leaving today for about 3 more hours, so I'm resting up! Definitely going to continue chugging water to ensure I don't get dehydrated. I truly felt awful for a minute there yesterday evening before I had time to sit and eat. This is the hottest Aftershock I've attended, so the heat threw everyone a bit off. I'm excited for the day ahead today!!
Here's some pictures from yesterday! In order: Vended, Nothing More, my friend and I at the big Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge sign, Slipknot, and a video during Stone Temple Pilots!

guess fucking what? my inbox is so fucking full right now i'm unloading all of this shit in one post.
For the 11th gotham memes: gothamites react to bruce being jacked in a tiktok he made with kids, like super yoked, ripped as hell
fucking hilarious thanks. i think i did it in one meme post, but i genuinely don't remember which one
i dunno which of the batfam would do this but one time i was sleeping over at a friends house and ended up on the floor bc the bed was so very small and i just stayed there because the rug was soft
that's a drunk jason move i don't know what to tell you
tim and jason are "i listen to pop punk" solidarity. whenever jason highjacks the batmobile theyll go on long ass car rides blaring mcr and paramore and then never talk about it again
as they should!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tim: no jason it's my turn using the aux cord i gotta put on my jams jason: don't you dare put on weird shit tim: don't worry, you're gonna love this *plays fearless (taylor's version)
hear me out hear me out, red hood stans 🤝 nightwing stans t h i g h s
holy shit yes.
SNL au: Bruce breaks character when pretending to superman and says something like "I'm not superman! You've seen his gps!! It's from 2001!!!" @sabeanybabe
superman flies past the snl building the next day just to say 'actually it's from 2005, i'm not a heathen'
does your back hurt from carrying the batfam fandom
it hurts more from the exotic rock collection i keep in my backpack, but thanks for the concern.
I love your posts by why would you always leave the best parts in the tags?
as a treat for the people that check the tags ;) (and also because i'm committed to the short post aesthetic)
somehow your playlist was everything i never knew i needed. i mean it. this is my new favorite playlist.
and don't you dare get a new favourite playlist!
babe ur stoner tim playlist is exactly too perfect, earth is literally blessed by ur existence
babe thanks so much! i love my stoner tim playlist because it's just my usual playlist but people think it's an artistic choice that i put taylor swift and britney spears in there, when it's just what i unironically like listening to
JANDKSKDK BILLY RAY CYRUS ON THE STONER TIM PLAYLIST I LOVE IT IT
again it's not even an ironic choice, i know every single word and i genuinely like the song
The last chapter of Fundamentals of Casework has me crying at work. Thanks I love it @dudelookitsalesbian
oh babe, i'm sorry, but also, not sorry i love chapter 4 so much it's my lovechild with the 'mental illness' tag
soooo....stumbled on your tumblr by some stroke of fate??? read your DC fanfic first. which is PHENOMENAL btw. then found all the batmemes; the funniest thing EVER bc everyone forgets about regular old gothamites. kept scrolling and your blog pops up as recommended. clicked on the ao3 for shits and giggles and waddaya know?!?!? it's YOU!!! you're LEGEND!!!! ever seen that meme? it's a video of a cat that got into a baseball field and the two announcers get really invested in his escape attempt and start giving a play by play of the cat instead of the game. memeable moment: "GREAT stuff from the Cat!!!"
i seriously think about this ask every single day and it's so fucking funny to me that i've never seen the meme you're referencing, but i still find myself going 'GREAT stuff from the Cat!!!' whenever i see something funny. but wow i'm glad you liked this steaming pile of garbage
Fav dc character overall? And fav batfamily character?
don't ask me to pick between the loves of my life, but i can tell you i've cried about every single batfamily member and also wally west (my beloved)
What's your opinion on fans having a problem with batfam being "too big"? And some even claim that batfam is just "Bruce Alfred Dick Damian" and the rest of them are just "friends and allies" (source: reddit) Personally, I like batfam because of this reason but idk
stupid. a family can never be too big. i'm not that big a fan of like huge batfam stuff with everybody from every single universe, because as much as it's funny for bruce to have like 30 kids, it just feels a little too OOC for me.
This is the best tag I've seen involving the batfam, thanks for thinking of it
Tumblr media
This is canon now @nctxrejects
lmao yeah i think at that point alfred has had to sit through like at least a dozen coming out talks and just has a pride flag collection in the attic that he pulls out whenever a kid comes out
idk why batfam hits different as compared to any other superhero family
bc it's found family and usually the other superhero families are almost all genetically related in one way or another
I don't know if you watch the umbrella academy but I saw your last post about batcest and saw the similarities. But the thing is (although I think it's weird) in TUA, they addressed it by saying "they were raised as weapons, not siblings" or something along those lines, which is simply not the case with batfam.
yeah i watched tua but i also thought it was ridiculous and they still treated each other as siblings so i didn't like the luthor/allison thing, and am glad they stopped doing that shit bc it fucking sucked.
Hot take: Batcest shippers are the same people who believe adopted siblings are not actual siblings
smoking hot take: batcest shippers are the people who watch 'my sister got stuck in the washing machine' porn
Duke was adopted by Bruce?
not technically no, but do i, tumblr user batarangsoundsdumb, look like i care?
True story but I had to change my freaking name because it used to be "Damien" and most people would go "OH LIKE DAMIAN WAYNE" like please I'm just tryna live
true story, but i don't actually think of damian when i hear the name damian, literally the first thing that pops up is damian darkh like bruh what?
apparently dc comics company supported comic stores by giving out new titles and stuff during the beginning of the pandemic to help them run and I just think that's wholesome
ah yeah that's so fucking cool, still don't like dc, the company, because this world is a capitalist hellhole and we're all owned by warner brothers or disney with no in between.
ayo looking at tumblr head canons and finding out bruce is actually a terrible father is a punch in the gut
lmao yes, in like 50% of comics bruce is a terrible father and it gives me whiplash
oooh I just saw the jason todd vs winter soldier post and the real question is: batman vs iron man
while iron man has like hundreds of cases of armor, batman could throw out an emp and have the guy dropping out of the sky in 2 seconds.
dickfast = fastdick = quickdick = quickie
magnum hot take
hey bata(?) just thought I'd let you know I have copied the obnoxious emoji and Billy Ray post for use on simping men going forth
thank you 😘🌷 (@spacebarsidecar)
why would you do that to your followers???? i get why i did it, but why would you???
what is scarecrow made the nightwing funko pop himself, like those diy-ers that paint over other ones
oh god no, horrible take, horrible take, that's a disgusting thought oh no
I see your HC that Bruce and Oliver fucked and raise you this: Dick and Roy ALSO fucked
yes they did and it was a horrible moment for jason to find out dick has fucked both of his best friends
"at this rate bruce adds like 1 child to his family every decade or so" Duke is introduced in 2013, Damian as Damian, not as an unnamed child, in 2006. And he is already 14 years old, Robins rarely remain Robins after 16 😬 It looks like a new Robin and Batkid will appear in a couple of years
i mean i can't wait? but somebody will probably die first tho, we're due for another major character death. my money's on either cass or duke this time.
BRO you're so right all of your Bruce's ex headcanons are amazing but they aren't ships, that's kinda wild. Like I don't want any peeks into how their relationship was I just want to see everyone make fun of them
lmao YES it's just i love bruce being a slut, like good for him.
I am in love with your posts your honour thank you
omg thanks are we like,, gonna kiss now?
The justice league needs to have a meeting to discuss how many of their members/partners have slept with bruce. Because through a combination of cannon & fannon (if DC wasn’t homophobic) we have AT LEAST: 1) clark 2) lois 3) oliver 4) dinah 5) john
Thats not counting villains or random civilians @dudelookitsalesbian
yes yes yes, they'll have a yearly meeting about how many of their collective exes could be out for revenge and batman's list just keeps getting longer.
tim was like "i'm drake now" and everyone was like ahh so your fursona is a dragon and tim was like pffffft no. ducks.
and what about it?
when steph's fighting livewire and she zaps her with lighting and nothing happens and then they both just. stand there awkwardly for a second and talk. yeah i couldn't stop laughing at that batgirl steph is the BEST
oh yeah that was fucking hilarious and i think it would be so cool and sexy of dc to give steph a little comic series,,, as a treat
Hi I absolutely adore all of yours "Bruce and Oliver very badly pretending they didn't fuck each other" memes
lmao i do too
I need you to know that “Bruce Wayne had frosted tips” is one of my favorite Bruce takes of all time it’s so galaxy brained. you’re right and you should say it
he also painted his hair blonde once when he was travelling and in conclusion, this is why he's being blackmailed by the gotham gazette.
you know my thing about gordon being branded as the only good cop in gotham is its a load of shit like arguably he's a good person and not working to screw people over or anything but the fact that he also works w. batman makes him a shit cop. like yea batman is better than the mob but its still illegal its still an abuse of power he just not making bank
babe, all cops are bad cops. (but yeah youre absolutely right, working with vigilantes makes you a shit cop, but also working against vigilantes just makes you an asshole cop yanno?)
ruh roh i think i’m about to add “so not yeehaw” every time i don’t like something
that's a very good vocabulary upgrade
somehow i feel like steph already knew. like babs obviously knew but i feel like bruce got high/drunk in front of steph and started telling his boarding school stories and steph was just like “oh you fucked up i’m never gonna forget this”
steph and bruce have weird uncle/rebellious niece dynamic and they just hang out sometimes and bruce will be like 'i once broke my arm when i tripped over a hedge when i was drunk so oliver drove me to the hospital on an electric scooter' and steph will just have to sit there with that knowledge in her head.
Hello I just wanted to tell you you are So right in all your steph opinions bc she is, in fact amazing and I think that's very sexy of you. Ps. Your Bruce/Oliver fic is hilarious
babe, thank you so much and yes steph is amazing and i love her and she deserves the world and she's the best member of the batfam hands down. also thanks
In Supersons we see a couple of kids that are implied to be Damian and Jon's children and the boy has laser eyes and can fly, so I asume he's not adopted. The girl, who calls Bruce grandpa, can also fly, btw. So it's canon (probably by accident) that Jon can have kids and he must have married one of Bruce's kids. (I'm hoping for Damian, mostly because any other of his children would be waaaaaaaaaaaaay too old.) @artemisa97
lmao that was probably an accident seeing as jon is a 17 year old superhero in the year 3000 (by the jonas brothers)
You know, I'm a die hard fan of your memes, but I gotta say one thing: if Gothamites actually took gas mask everywhere with them, then the Scarecrow would just be a weird dude in a weird costume, and not a villain oh so scary. DC really should just takes notes from you.
bold of you to assume there's no gothamite anti-maskers
How does it feel being the funniest person on this app?
horrible, next question.
I can't listen to Green Day or Billy Joel without thinking of your post about how Bruce got arrested at a Billy Joel concert @nightwings-kid
yeah that's your mistake, i on the other hand can't enjoy billy joel without thinking about the glee rendition of 'uptown girl'
I've FINALLY been watching the Batman animated series and I gotta say, after watching "the gray ghost" I am CONVINCED that Batman is a closeted super hero geek who was 100% freaking out the first time he met Superman and is just REALLY good at hiding it.
superman: so what do you do in your free time? batman, thinking about the superman fanfiction he's writing on the batcomputer: i have no free time
bruce and oliver be like boyfriends to co-workers 401k (do the justice leagues get 401ks??? not that bruce and ollie would need them, but-)
lmao yes just 400 thousand words of bruce realising 'oh dip oliver is such a fucking dumbass' (also i don't know what a 401 k is but i assume they don't?)
Gothamites would totally boo superman as he saves Gotham while batman is out. @meenje
he's like 'okay think about that next time you want to be saved from an alien octopus'
I just took long break from dc comics and I come back to see ric grayson ??
i think it's very cool and sexy of dc to see dick and just think 'you know what? let's just give him a traumatic brain injury' and then didn't develop his character in any real way
SPEAKING OF RIC GRAYSON, gothamites making confused memes out of ric grayson is much needed
'dick grayson is my taxi driver? can anyone explain what the fuck happened he looks like an italian plumber?'
i hate to say it but batfam are def "marvel characters" in that sense they are characters who are human but become superheroes unlike most dc characters who are gods trying to be human maybe this is why I like batfam
fair enough

I have lived through the most wonderful exquisitely joyful weekend and got to see Louis twice at long last!!! I didn't want to express my excitement in the lead up because i was so petrified that i would catch covid like a week before and be unable to go, but god really had his hand on me and delivered me from 2 VERY close calls in the 2 weeks leading up to the shows lol. 2 weekends prior my brother's girlfriend caught covid the day he was with her, but the infection was obviously so fresh that she didn't transfer it to him. and then the following Wednesday our boss at work sent an email saying she was happy for us to join meetings virtually since cases were on the rise, and it was just in time because on Thursday we had a staff meeting, and on Saturday someone who was in the meeting room tested positive LIKE. god was really like if this girl does not get to go to these concerts she is going to unravel like a ball of frayed yarn lol
but ANYWAY it was the most amazing, amazing weekend, both nights were so fulfilling and just.. i felt pure happiness. louis was so BRIGHT and i got to share a room with him and lots of other very excited people, i just had the best best time. highlights from memory:
i've said before that i think it was so galaxy brain of him to open the show with 'we made it', especially in the context of all the rescheduling, and i was so excited to finally get to scream it out when he came on stage and the moment lived up to it!! i couldn't even hear louis for the first few lines of the song because the crowd was singing SO loud lol, it felt like a moment of such release for everyone there, it was really cool
on night 1 he walked out in that bright yellow shirt like a BEACON!! i always call him my sunshine and he is!! he was literally the louis that lives in my mind right there on stage. and on night 2 it was a very classic louis look in one of his 4000 burberry shirts lol, a comforting and familiar presence <3
can't express... just cannot express how happy i was during through the dark, i felt like it was visibly radiating out of me. its one of my favourite songs ever and my fav 1d song. it captures a specifically positive energy that i am so drawn to, and that i've coincidentally always associated with louis. i can't even explain how the room felt during that song, it was joy! i took a moment on night one to capture a snippet of it for myself to hold onto forever. the absolute respect louis has for me specifically to tour this song and let ME watch HIM sing it, that song both nights was genuinely one of the highlights of my entire life
don't let it break your heart was another one of the standout songs for me, one of my favourite louis songs!! maybe for me the one that i feel most represents louis, and i felt like it was a favourite for a lot of other people there as well, which took me by surprise! but i love that song soo much and it was so good live :)
wow seeing his smile in person...... sunshine
his stage presence!! he's become such a playful presence on stage, its so him, he is so interactive while he's singing. he doesn't do a lot of chatting between songs and i realised he likes to do the bulk of his playing as he sings lol. he's been like that all tour but i didn't realise it until my shows, i wonder if that's a comfort he built during 1d that he's deliberately exercised as a solo artist and made a key part of his performance
coacoa was soooo amazing live, and he sang changes which i LOVE. got lt2 is going to be so good
getting to point at louis with 5000 other people and shout "you were my because" 10/10 experience could not have enjoyed that more if i tried
oh the snuts were really good! i hadn't investigated them at all and wanted to hear them for the first time live (i feel like that's such a great way to be introduced to music) and their set was literally just jam after jam, i'm excited to dig into their music properly
i didn't even realise until i was on the way to the show on night 2 that it was the 1d anniversary! the crowd sang happy bday to 1d during the break before the encore 😂 honestly singing the 1d songs on night 2 felt so celebratory, what a cool experience to get to sing them with louis on such an important day
omg also on night 2 i was toward the side of the pit and saw little bentley with his sign ready for the show 😭 pre show our whole side of the crowd was cheering every time he lifted his sign, i found a short video here of it, we did this for like 30 minutes dskjlgkdfl it was v cute. i didn't even know they were from australia!
i completely lost my voice by the end of night 1 and couldn't speak the whole way home rofl, thankfully it came back the next morning ready for night 2. ugh it was just!!!!!! 🎇🎇🎇 this year has been.. quite horrible and this was so refilling. I have a week off work now because i was originally going to go to the Melbourne shows, but decided it was best not to take the extra risk, so instead this week is all mine to reminisce.

Harry's House: First Impressions
First LISTEN: Out Loud, Second: with headphones
Music For A Sushi Restaurant: A GROOVE. Scoob-a-doop-bo-bob. This man is the scatman. Lizzo needs to get on a remix of this ASAP! Or at least cover it. This will be so amazing live. 80's bop! Love the horns or whatever too!
Late Night Talking: MAN IS IN LOVE. YA BOY IS WHIPPED. Things haven't been quite the same. A lot of change happening metaphorically on this album.
Grapejuice: A crooner. YOUUUUUU. Shakespeare who??? This album seems like a chill one you listen to....around the house....eh? eh? I'll see myself out. NAH fr, I would definitely listen this to study, gives me low-fi vibes. (Liked it better the second time with headphones)
As It Was: In the album order it hits like woah. New chapter like Zane said. Feels surreal and cool to sing along. Like feels sped up but it's just cause the track before was so calming.
Daylight: This album is much more electronic than acoustic fine line. But the rock of this? FIRE! Very unexpected and I love it! Someone doing coke??? V bad harry. bad one. If I was a blue bird? So cute!!! Reminds me of old 2000s coldplay as well. I'm guessing this is the cocaine album.
Little Freak: Jezebel? mE! I'm a whore. Ya welcome. I expected it to be more risque but it's actually so romantic and kinda cute. Lana Del Rey could sing this and it would be cool too. Just thinking about youuuuuuuu. Love the guitar.
Matilda: Family never showed me love? Yeah no shit. That's why I'm listening to your album at 2am. Dead inside? *that's so raven voice* Yep that's me. I do want to do it on my own, thanks harry! KEY CHANGE KING! This song really made me smile. On second round, it feels like an intimate hug from Harry.
Cinema: This is so cute. I'm guessing it's about Olivia, which I find adorable. Do you think I'm cool??? Aw, little Harry has to prove himself. Good. Damn this nigga screaming in the background. You okay??? You pop when we get intimate? if this is his way of bragging about making a woman come then so be it. But okay....
Daydreaming: As soon as I heard it, I loved it. INTRO IS AMAZING! Like the groove is soooo sick. Love me like you paid me? Sugar daddy. Also gives me a little bit of Stevie Wonder vibes. Can't wait to hear this live!!!
Keep Driving: Very cute and cinematic way of singing. This album feels very indie. Hash brown egg yolk I will always love you? CUTE!!!! Like I can see this music video and the camera cutting rapidly between these things. I love it. Puff pass? Edibles? Cocaine? Say no to drug kids. This man loves a good drugs sex and love theme and I love that for him. Choke her with a sea view??? Yes please daddy. I told y'all this man wasn't vanilla. My fave on the second hearing, it was the first song I liked on Spotify.
Satellite: There are a lot of questions in this song and in the album in general. I like that the beginning sounds a bit space like. Like dreampop. idk why this songs feels SAPPHIC! This is gonna be the summer song of the album. IYKYK. When he said I'm here idk why I teared up. I think this song is going to be the best live.
Boyfriends: I'm gonna need some wine and ice cream for this one. Very true. If I ever slip and get my heart broken by a man this song is going on repeat for months. SAY IT WITH ME: MEN ARE TRASH. I think this was the song playing in the trailer????
Love of My Life: Nevermind it was this song playing in the trailer? Baby you are the love of my life???? Sheesh. This man gonna marry that woman. Second hearing update: looked up the lyrics and he talked about a past love. Damn. Sorry bout that. At least you got some good bops out of the heartbreak. Second hearing: Harry loves a bop beat with devastating lyrics. Damn song. Like the sunnier yet just as sad sibling of Falling.
Final thoughts: I feel like Fine Line was more 70's groove and this was more 80's bop. But tbh I think this album is very groovy indeed. I think this album had more similar sounding songs (in a good way) and was more of a mesh of emotions rather than Fine Line which were like, in my opinion, very significant different emotions. Harry delivers again. TBH while Fine Line (the song and album) will have such a special place in my heart but I do like this one. JOB WELL DONE.

For the ask game: music recs?? Please??? I've listened to the front bottoms' whole discography like 5 times now i have nothing to listen to
your music taste is already iconic but here ya go <3
the psychedelic furs: i started listening to them because they're my dad's favorite band and GOD there is some gay stuff there. they do mostly synthpop (i think??? i'm bad at recognizing music genres). a lot of their stuff can be interpreted as a disdain for typical hetero white picket fence families/relationships. you absolutely HAVE to listen to love my way that song slaps so hard and some of my other favorites by them shock and soap commercial.
echo & the bunnymen: i found this band from this video (https://youtu.be/ek52acrA1lw) and lost my fucking mind. i have no idea what genre they are but they're and 80s british band and no 80s british band has ever done me wrong. some of my favorites by them are villiers terrace, it's alright (bestie you're gonna start crying when you hear it), clay, ripeness, and never stop (discotheque). the entire porcupine album slaps so fuckin hard.
tears for fears: this band has So Much Gender and they're one of the few 80s bands that i like their 21st century stuff. bestie the instruments!!! so many instruments!! pale shelter and memories fade are both mike wheeler anthems and they are very close to my heart. raoul and the kings of spain is a great album, head over heels is fantastic, and shout makes me astral project.
bronski beat: fuckin bronski beat!!! they're another synthpop band and jimmy somerville's vocal range is just *chef's kiss*. their songs are gay as fuck and their music is just so. music. i'm gonna be honest their songs kinda played a part in me realizing i was mlm. some of my favorites are why?, junk, need a man blues, punishment for love, and ofc smalltown boy.
arctic monkeys: yeah so you might not have heard of them because they're suuuper underground and indie /s. i'm pretty sure typing that sentence made me grow a beanie directly out of my skull lmao. anyway i really like vibe of their music and they go surprisingly hard. the am album is a banger, 505 is of course a classic, and the favorite worst nightmare and whatever people say i am, i'm not albums are also pretty good.
the smiths: either everyone in this band is gay or britain was just like that in the 80s idk. they have a lot of angsty gaycoded songs so ofc i'm obsessed with them. how soon is now?, back to the old house, sweet and tender hooligan, there is a light that never goes out, this charming man, and i started something i couldn't finish all gave me psychic damage but i reccomend you listen to all their songs because literally everything they make is a banger.
taylor swift: you're already gay and a byler stan so you're halfway to becoming a swiftie /hj. i can't put into words what her music does for me i'm just so in love with her songwriting. some of my faves by her are you are in love, new romantics, gold rush, exile, cardigan, cruel summer, paper rings, it's nice to have a friend, all too well, don't blame me, delicate, look what you made me do, dress, i did something bad, and wildest dreams. the midnights album comes out on the 21st!!!!
violent femmes: if you like the front bottoms you'll LOVE the violent femmes they have a lot of folk punkish queercoded songs. just like my father and mother of a girl will turn you into an angsty bisexual male character, no killing is a religious experience, love love love love love is the queer agenda, their violent femmes album i literally cannot listen to without headbanging, and their why do birds sing album could be the soundtrack to literally any steddie fanfic.
gin wigmore: i'm gonna be honest i need to listen to more of her stuff but i was soooo obsessed with her back in my mcu era. i loooove her voice it's so raspy and cool. she does country??? but Woman Country that's actually really good and about heartbreak and becoming stronger. her songs make me feel like the main character of a western. written in the water, black sheep, happy ever after, hbic, and hallow fate slay so hard.
black pistol fire: ahhhh i love them omg. they're grunge rock i think? biggg boot stomping energy. black halo, fever breaks, hope in hell, level, look alive, and well wasted are all blorbo anthems.
des rocs: ehehe i'm so obsessed with this weird little rat man (affectionate). his music is just so !!!!!!! idk how he doesn't have a million listeners already. he's a rocker and sings a lot about mental illness and toxic relationships. let the vultures in is a fantastic ep although huge tw for mental illness, mmc is great, suicide romantics absoultley Destroyed me, wayne is a Song, and his album a real good person in a real bad place is the best thing ever god i love his songs.
bishop briggs: another artist from my mcu era lol. literally every fandom has an edit to her song river but dark side, jekyll & hyde, and high water also slay. the emotion she puts into her songs is so <3333 and GOD her voice is amazing.
barns courtney: GENDER MAN GENDER MAN DOES WHATEVER A GENDER CAN <3 another rocker but he has some acoustic stuff too. his albums 404 and the attractions of youth are just incredible and sinners is also fantastic.
sleepover asks <3

love, would you like to tell us about the concert? only if you want to tho
Y E S
First of all I wanted to say this was my first time seeing Greta Van Fleet AND my first General Admission show
Let's start with the opening acts: Hannah Wicklund was soooo good!! It was my first time hearing her songs and I'm officially a new fan of her!
The Pretty Reckless were amazing as well and they are defiantly one of the best opening acts I've ever seen live
Alright GVF
Setlist was AMAZING of course
P Y R O
Lots of light effects which was sooo cool
Josh: His voice was incredible live! At one point of the show he was handing fans white roses. He put on a pair of sunglasses, a feather boa, and TOOK A SHOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SHOW. He also gave his boa and tambourine to a fan!
Sam: I couldn't see Sam that well since I was closer to where Jake and Danny were BUT Sam was amazing on bass AND piano. And yes, for the Sam simps, he was shirtless at one point of the show. I think he also gave some of his jewelry but as I said since I was on the other other side of GA I couldn't tell.
Jake and Danny: WELL I STARED AT BOTH OF THEM THE WHOLE SHOW OF COURSE. Jake's guitar skills were amazing AND HIS GUITAR SOLOS WERE AMAZING TOO, also he played the harmonica at the end. DANNY'S DRUM SOLO WAS AMAZING AND AS I PREVIOUSLY SAID, I COULD NOT STOP STARING AT DANNY AND JAKE (Although my mom went with me and she thinks Danny is better for me 😅) Jake also gave out his guitar pics and Danny gave out his drumsticks AND I WAS TWO SPOTS BEHIND FROM CATCHING IT 😩
I would 100% go see them again for sure!!! 😍
