fionna and cake drawings before and after watching the episodes so far. it’s nostalgic and somehow cathartic and poignant and relatable and—it just started

#i’m part of the demographic where i was a kid when adventure time started and now watching fionna and cake as an adult makes me emotional #because did they keep us in mind when writing fionna and her attitude towards life #the dissatisfaction #the hoping for something more #something more magical than this dreary life filled with working to live and living to work #it’s so reflective of how life feels for me and perhaps many of us #and also Simon’s episode was so sad but so well thought out #exploring his feelings after the events of the adventure time finale is something I’m glad we get to see #there were already so many layers to his character in AT but now it feels like we get to dive deeper #I also felt emotional hearing Rebecca Sugar singing and writing a song that encapsulates his feelings so well #😭 it’s been awhile seeing her work exist alongside these characters #and all of these emotions get stronger because I remember AT being the one to inspire me to be a storyboard artist #when I was younger I used to follow many of the board artists here in tumblr and would get so inspired by them #to create simple but powerful boards that can capture the feelings of characters so well #Rebecca Sugar’s songs for the AT characters inspired me so much too #I’m sorry this is long I’m just feeling so many things experiencing all of this again as an adult #my art #fanart #adventure time #fionna and cake #fionna the human #cake the cat #simon petrikov

just got home from Ruisrock's Super Sunday, what do you mean I gotta go grocery shopping now and cook dinner 😭

#can i get excused from cooking today i had SUCH a day yesterday #singing and dancing along to some songs i thought i'd never sing along to in a concert again (1D)#and singing and dancing along to songs i thought i'd NEVER get to sing along to in a concert (PMMP)#my inner teenager is healed 😭#(there was a time those songs were my only friends)#at least now that i'm home i can finally take olli's plectrum out of my purse and put it somewhere safe because yeah that happened too 💞#(didn’t really catch it but he pointed at us before he threw it and it landed on the ground and a security guy picked it up for me)#and käärijä had invited joost?! trafik world premier?! did that really happen guys or was it a fever dream 😵#and joker out was great too but ngl by then i was so exhausted emotionally from having bawled my eyes out during PMMP's set+#that i was sort of zoning out half the time thinking about olli's plectrum 😂😂😂😂😂#so HOW am i supposed to just go on with life huh 😭#i think first i'm gonna die a bit on the couch and then idk cry all the way to the grocery store i guess lol

why is my dad buying saxophone reeds hello

#he doesn’t play the saxophone he plays the coronet hello #my mom and I can play the saxophone but like. we aren’t #our saxophone technically belongs to his brother is he planning on giving it back or learning it??#i’m so confused. not what I meant when I strongly encouraged my parents to pick up their instruments again (my mom played clarinet)#what’s next the trombone. that would make more sense if he’s just trying to find something to do while he waits for his coronet to be fixed #me and my brother are literally getting the band back together lmaoo im finally recovering from my injury and playing my instruments again #and he’s teaching himself guitar (he’s only been playing six months if that and he’s amazing!!) and piano in addition to his drumming #hes even learning to sing (making progress but he’s not a singer). guess we’ve inspired my parents too. at least my dad #but. the saxophone?????#literally there are saxophone reeds in the Amazon cart. also the cork is probably so gross #no one’s taken the sax out of the case since I was in high school like over a decade ago #anyway. this is the music household I remember from my early childhood and it’s amazing #still confused at saxophone though

NO because Izzy shouldn't have died purely because hes PART OF THE SHIP. HES THE NEW UNICORN

#LIKE THE WHOLE POINT IS HE ISNT AN AUTHORITY FIGURE EBUT HES A UNIQUE AND INHERENT PART OF THE CREW.
