Ace's All Time Best Fic Rec List March 2025: Sanders Sides

I'm just going to borrow the format I've been using for the other fandoms I rec fics in. These are just fics I really liked and want other people to read. I didn't start taking note of them when I started reading so I might have missed some. If a fic isn't on here it doesn't mean that I don't like it, and please feel free to rec me fics!

One thing to note is that the way I tend to read fics is to pic a tag or relationship or character etc. and filter by date posted, ascending on ao3 so I start at the beginning and work my way to more recent fics and then obviously any on Tumblr I simply read if they manage to find me. Tumblr search is not fantastic. That is to say, most of the fics currently on my list are going to be older. Also if the rating is M or higher, I have that listed in my little description of it so you'll know before clicking.

Also, also! I tried to only have one or two from the same author so there are likely other works by the people who wrote these that I liked but didn't list, I just didn't want this to be three miles long, yk?

And last little blurb, I try to do these once or twice a year with different fics on each list, but I always use the aatbfrl tag so you'll be able to search my blog for them.

Lie With Me- Both Janus and Patton need therapy. If you want to actively be dealt psychic damage, this is a good one.

Bad Idea- Roman and Janus are fwb and aren't supposed to catch feelings. Well guess what? Rated M for iMplied sexual content.

No Need To Knock- Roman reaches out a hand and Virgil takes it. Very sweet besties moment.

Florida Man Cannot Be Contained- "Contrary to popular belief, Remus is not the menace of the friend group. It's Patton." Author is correct.

Friendly Neighborhood Criminals- Patton gets adopted into a trio of criminals who took one look at his life and said 'You live like this? Well we can't in good conscience rob you now.' and decided to make him their pet project. (WIP)

once you're in the hive, the other bees assume you're supposed to be there- "Virgil accidentally gets absorbed by his best friend's brother's polycule." That's the official tag line and what more do you need, really? (WIP)

Love is a Beach- Moceit fake dating your ex that you're still in love with bc you didn't tell your friends you broke up yet and you're all going on a trip together. This could not possibly go wrong in any way. (WIP)

Clutters of Creativity- Roman clutters (the speech disorder) and this is how I learned that I too clutter which alone makes it worth sharing, but this is also cute as hell. Remus and Logan are v supportive.

Snap- Roman angst hurt/comfort Roceit&creativitwins we don't have to talk about how much I related to this one, but if you want to have a good cry, this one's for you.

The Only One that Knows- A lot of trigger warnings, but Logan is a scientist at a shady organization that burned down and the experiment he was managing starts acting up in his home. I think about this all the time, just the way it's written it's soooo good. Rewired my brain. Rated M for Mlots of gore/blood/body horror and Mental health problems and Major character death.

i picture it, soft, and i ache- Janus falls in love with Patton and has a time about it. And then he has a different time about it. V cute with just the right amount of angst.

Silence- Selectively mute Logan and extremely anxious Virgil work through some stuff and it's cute or whatevah. And maybe I relate a little too much but it's fine, don't worry about it.

Cracks in the Ceiling- Logan helps Virgil and they're just besties and I love them.

Mission Status: Sick!- Inspired by the hockey AU, I'm just going to copy paste the tagline bc I think you'll understand. "'It's a good thing that my homosexuality is stronger than my pride', Virgil thought as he opened a capri sun and violently squeezed it onto his sheets." Analogical.

glow like a fireflower- Deceit is a dork. Roman is... also a dork. They're dramatic and silly and working through some stuff and Remus has to hear about it but he gives great advice (lie).

Noi Abbiamo Un Problema- LAMP soulmates with a side of dukeceit. Virgil is the last to join the group but they seem to be expecting a fifth... who is also Virgil. They're a little dense and Virgil is anxious and Remus and Janus are real ones. I love Virgil's mom.

like copper and gold- Rated E for explicit sex and a lot of it. I fucking bawled dude. This fic tore my heart out and then put it back in ever so gently. More of Deceit making bad decisions. roloceit.

The Gold of Your Heart- Look, I read this whole thing a while ago and I still think about it so I feel like it's worth adding to the list. Deceit's name is Tony. A bunch of OC sides and headcanons in here but they're very fun and interesting. 200k+ Roceit slow burn.

Distant Stars Clearly Shining- Prinxiety sci-fi AU featuring smut it's a 10k one shot with significant plot and world building.

Eustress and How to Manage It- Ok, so they're dorks. Prinxiety being adorable dorks. So fluffy. (There's a spicy sequel out there too.)

Help In Unlikely Ways- My boy Janus is just doing his best oml. He's bad at it.

I'm In Love With A Fairytale- Look, it's 117k. And it's fun. Well I mean it's really angsty, but that's fun for me. It takes place in the imagination. Look at it. Rated M for violence.

Hurt, And How We Grow Past It.- I remember reading this when it first came out. Just a little Janus angst as a treat.

Trust me, I have a LOT to say about Richard Lipschitz. As he's my current hyperfixation character, I have made it my mission to find out everything there is to know about him, and of course also to make as many headcanons as possible about him. Now LET'S GO, ALL SORTS OF RICHIE STUFF!

Canon/half canon facts and trivia (AKA things said/done either in NPMD, in track commentaries or in streams)

As he says a couple of times in NPMD, he has overactive sweat glands, meaning he sweats more than the average person, and that he doesn't smell very good.

He also has asthma, as Bury the Bully confirms.

Shapiro asks the nerds if they're sure they didn't see Richie in their AP calculus class, so we can assume Richie's good at math.

Richie's quite skilled with a camera, and he knows how to photoshop (whether or not he's good at it is up for debate *glances at Ruth's playbill headshot*).

His favorite anime is Attack on Titan.

He would absolutely dye his hair blue.

He cosplays, and if he could afford to, he would make ELABORATE cosplays.

Richie's bedroom: his walls are absolutely decked out in anime posters, he has tons and tons of plushes, and he has a glass case of Funko Pops. Then he also has his anime love pillows, of course.

He did some Twitch streaming in 2020.

Once, he tried to organize a Pokemon Go meet-up, but no one showed up.

He's not as brave as he would like to be.

He doesn't seem to be a big fan of parties.

Out of the nerds, he was the one who felt the worst about what they did to Max.

My personal observations and headcanons

Richie's a shorts guy, all year around. He only has one or two pairs of long pants in his closet. It doesn't matter how cold it gets during the winter; he still wears shorts. He would've worn shorts to Homecoming. He'd be one questionable decision away from wearing shorts at his own wedding.

He and Trevor are identical twins, and Trevor is eleven minutes older. Even though Trevor's barely interested in anime and Richie's hardly at all interested in musicals, they watch them together. It's a weekly thing that they sit down in the living room, argue for five minutes about whether to watch an anime or a musical ("We watched Newsies last time." "Bullshit, that was like a month ago, we've watched anime the last two times at least!" "And what pray tell may those animes be, Trevor?"), then settle on one but talk over it the entire time. One of them always gets annoyed at the other for not keeping up with the storyline, but if you think they're gonna stop talking over them, you're wrong.

Daniel's their younger brother by five years. Neither of them know about Daniel's abilities nor about the fact that he's part of a magical fighting ring. (Their uncle, Gary, takes Daniel in secret, and they've told the rest of the family that Gary's taking Daniel to some sports practice. Trevor and Richie have ongoing bets about where Daniel keeps getting loads and loads of money from, and they constantly make deals with him to earn some money for themselves (doing Daniel's chores, watching stupid superhero movies with him, etc..))

His full name is Richard Jonathan _____ Lipschitz. Jonathan as a middle name is a family name for all the men in the Matthews-Goldstein-Lipschitz-McNeil family, and then they all have their own second middle name.

Trevor and Richie's birthday is somewhere in June. Richie was just so fucking clearly born in June.

When they were kids (8-12), they would make shitty movies and movie trailers on iMovie on their iPad. Most often, Richie would film and Trevor would play all the roles. Sometimes they'd involve Daniel and their cousins from their father's side of the family, then they'd force all the adults to watch their movies. Their greatest hit films include 'The Children in the Drawers', 'The Green Plant', 'The Murderer in the Barn' and 'The Boy Who Went to the Bathroom and Disappeared' (definitely not named after the shitty iMovie trailers and movies my sister, cousins and I made when we were kids).

Richie and Ruth met for the first time on a playground the summer before their first year of school. They played together for an hour or two before Ruth had to go home, and parted as typical six-year-old strangers who played pirates on a playground once. When they started school a month and a half later, they ended up in the same class, and they immediately recognized each other, and since then they've been besties. (Ruth met Pete at tap class, and that was how Pete completed the trio).

Based on a whole fuck ton of things in both the proshot and the digital ticket, I have no choice but to think Richie's down bad for Ruth, and that she's equally whipped. Richie's 110% oblivious to how he's feeling. He's not in denial or anything, he just has no idea. I'm talking, "Seeing her smile makes my stomach do cartwheels, but that doesn't mean anything." "That dress she wore once made me speechless, but that's just because she's such a good friend." "Yes, I could imagine myself kissing her, but that doesn't have to mean anything." He gives her an almost Paul-level heart-eyes look, she's fucking constantly looking at him, he fully checks her out in the digital ticket (involving nodding and hand gestures), she giggles at every lame joke he makes like it's the funniest thing she's heard, how angry he is that Pete wouldn't want to be with her, she beelines for him after "arguing" with Steph, he hypes her up when Max compliments her skeleton bit, and they're pretty much incapable of standing more than three millimeters away from each other. I mean, come on.

Analyses are on the way!

I've spent a lot of my time delving into story analysis, and I'm about to make an analysis video focusing mainly on Max and Richie (Richie's death, in particular). The script is done, I just have to film and edit it, but then it'll be up on Youtube!

Another analysis video idea I have is to make a video purely dedicated to breaking down each of the main characters and unearthing their internal conflicts, goals, desires, fears and misbeliefs. I've already got a pretty good idea of Richie's motivations and fears, so I'm quite excited about this one...

Hi guys, I want to start by saying that I love you all and that my time in the fandom has been amazing

I don't know if that time is over, but we're definitely going to have a break because I need to think things through

If you want a VERY long talk about my views on the subject, and my general perspective, it's below.

I should give warning that both SA and depression are mentioned, with reference to suicide

I have always had problems with the age of both Michael's and David's partners, and you don't know how much I loved the girl who asked Michael about it.

However, both relationships were consensual, so even though I don't agree with it, I could simply acknowledge the fact that we have different worldviews and that's it.

Now I assume we know what's going on with Neil, and here the allegation is that it wasn't consensual. And also, it was girls my age, or younger than me.

Neil, I know the chances of you reading this are nil, and that possibly my stance on this is irrelevant. But taking into account the time I've put into the fandom.... I don't usually generate close connections with famous people, I always feel like they're about to make a mistake. Because we are human, and nobody deserves a pedestal. But it was something I almost did for Neil, especially after the post I made when I was in a crisis, that ridiculous "if this has x notes I do y thing" post.

and I guess I'm never going to be able to see the fact of Neil reblogging that post in any way other than "hey, maybe without that I wouldn't be here".

But there's no way I can keep my mouth shut on this, SA is an extremely touchy subject for me, and I don't know how to describe what I'm feeling right now. What am I supposed to do? Abandon this blog? Delete it?

Good omens is part of my life on an immense level.

It's on most of my tumblr, Crowley is my profile picture on TOO MANY things, Crowley and Aziraphale are my favourite couple of all time, basically my definition of the best fictional relationship.

And now all of that is mixed in with what's currently going on.

I don't know if I'm going to leave the fandom or not, but I do know that I possibly need to spend a few days or weeks assessing the situation.

I love you guys, if you decided to follow me here, I really do. I adore you. I love this blog, it's one of my favourite things in the world. But now every time I think about it, I realise that it's a little too close to home.

I hope the situation moves forward as well as possible, that it is resolved with the truth...

And I want to make it clear, it shouldn't be me, the 22 year old, who is saying that someone my age dating a person 20 years older is incorrect

Even if it is a consensual relationship, it should not be that it is considered a correct course of action.

I say that as the 14 year old who thought they were an adult, as the teenager who was convinced they were mature (I wasn't). And even though I now feel that I am 100% aware of my situation, and 100% capable of making the right decisions, I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 years I discover that my worldview was fucking wrong.

I say that as the 22 year old who is fucking obsessed with Michael Sheen, who has seen an immense amount of stuff just because he's in it. I shouldn't be the one to say that if the situation were to arise, it would be fucking wrong of him for anything to happen (This is nothing against Michael, he is simply the only actor who has ever interested me in that way)

If it turns out that the allegations are true, it's horrible

If it turns out they're not, Neil, please date someone your own age, PLEASE

NOT WITH GIRLS

Having finished that, I want to talk a bit more about the fandom itself. I'm not telling you that we should leave fandom, or anything. And I understand if there are those who have compelling reasons to stay, I have no problem with that and I understand that. I've had experience with deciding whether or not to leave a fandom.

What I will ask is that you please consider acknowledging the fact that the ages of the people involved in these relationships alone is questionable, and the possibility that it was without consent makes it even worse.

I'm not asking you to smash or burn anything with Neil's name on it, but please think about it.

Is there a chance it's a fake? Yes, but please consider supporting the victims, because it is a fact that victims of SA are often categorised as liars

Just... acknowledging what is happening is better than pretending it is not happening

That's why I'm doing this

It happened, this is my situation at the moment, I'm going to take some time to think about it

14 - Real Men Clean Bathrooms

WARNING: She's a little suggestive...

Jungwon has been called Wonnie most of his life… by his older sister, his parents, and his older friends when they’re trying to tease him… even the lady next door whenever he walks her dog or takes out her trash. Despite hearing the nickname from so many people, nothing will come close to the gentle flutter his heart feels whenever it slips past Y/n’s lips.

“Wonnie!” Y/n calls for what seems like the tenth time, poking his dimple to get his attention. A small habit they’ve started recently. Jungwon finally snaps out of his thoughts, remembering that Y/n is, in fact, standing right in front of him. “Oh, sorry uh… what were you saying again?” Jungwon asks sheepishly. He really didn’t mean to space out, it’s just that spending more than a minute in Y/n’s presence causes him to lose his train of thought.

“Mr Kim told me to talk to you. I’ve got detention again and he said I need to use that time to help out around the school or something.” Y/n shrugs. Jungwon can’t help the downturn of his mouth at the mention of yet another detention. They’ve been getting those a lot lately. “Um… I’ll have to check what the council is currently working on. It’s probably just cleaning desks and picking up litter though.” Jungwon says, grabbing his laptop out of his bag to check the minutes from the last council meeting.

Y/n leans over curiously, watching as he taps away on the laptop. “Is there anything you wanna do in particular?” He asks, scrolling through the list of volunteer work for the council. Y/n pretends to think for a moment, tapping a finger against their chin for added effect. “I’ll do whatever you’re doing.” 

If Jungwon wasn't already blushing, he certainly is now. "Um… I'm just cleaning out the out-of-order bathrooms… making sure they're ready to be renovated. It's pretty boring." Jungwon mumbles. It does sound boring… but Y/n's eyes light up nonetheless.

"You mean our spot?" They ask excitedly, causing Jungwon's eyebrows to furrow. "Our spot?" He asks. Since when did they have a spot? That feels like something he would definitely remember. "It’s where we skipped class together, don't tell me you forgot already?" Y/n pouts. Of course, he didn't forget! He could probably remember every interaction he's ever had with Y/n. He just assumed that Y/n didn't… or at the least, never thought about it.

"I mean… you can clean with me if you want. It's a pretty big job though. Hence why the other council members are doing easier stuff."

That made Y/n angrier than expected. Of course, Jungwon would get stuck doing the most difficult task by himself, while the rest of the council runs around picking up rubbish. God, if Y/n could name another member, they would definitely be going in their death note.

"I'll stick with you." Y/n says, surprising even themself with how genuine the words sound. Jungwon seems surprised too, his eyes widening slightly as the tip of his ears turn a pinkish red. He mumbles a quiet thanks before quickly typing Y/n's name next to his on the task sheet.

"Was this place always such a dump?" Y/n asks, looking around the small room in disgust. There's graffiti all over the walls and mirrors; the floors covered in rubbish and drywall. Even one of the toilet stalls has had the door ripped off its hinges.

"Believe it or not, this is the better of the two." Jungwon sighs. "I'm pretty sure the girl’s bathroom has rats." He adds, causing Y/n's face to screw up at the thought.

The bathrooms certainly didn't look like this when the two were last in here. That was only a few weeks ago.

"How did it even get this bad?" Y/n asks, pulling a pen out of their pocket and walking towards the discarded stall door. Jungwon watches curiously as they crouch down, scribbling something on the piece of metal.

"Because people do things like that." Jungwon sighs, trying to ignore the fluttering feeling developing in his stomach at the "Jungwon and Y/n were here" outlined in a heart.

Jungwon actually starts to get to work as Y/n continues to look around. After a few minutes, they let out a small gasp - gaining Jungwon's attention once more. 

"Omg, I forgot about this!" Y/n exclaims, pulling Jungwon towards the scribbles on the wall. He looks at Y/n confused so they elaborate. "It's a list of everyone who hooked up here." This doesn't help. "In the bathroom?" Jungwon asks, his nose scrunching in disgust. "You'd be surprised. It's a pretty common make out spot." Y/n smirks, making sure to send Jungwon a playful wink in the process.

"Have you made out with someone here?" Jungwon asks, the question coming out a little louder and more urgent than he expected. Y/n can't help the smirk that spreads across their face. They place their hand under their chin, tapping repeatedly as they pretend to think. "Once or twice? I don't know… check the list." Y/n teases.

Jungwon doesn't want to look at the list - scared of what names he'll see engraved next to Y/n's. Scared of what feelings will come over him once he puts a face to the people who have been with Y/n. People he can only dream of being. But his restraint is limited and before he knows it, he finds his eyes quickly scanning the scratchy list of names.

It's not that bad. At least that's what Jungwon tries to tell himself. There's a handful of names written alongside Y/n's - mainly those who have already graduated, with a few from their current year level. It's not that bad. But Jungwon can't stop the bubbling feeling of jealousy that begins to form in the pit of his stomach.

"Find your answer?" Y/n asks in a teasing manner, despite their attention now being placed on picking up rubbish. Jungwon hums quietly, his eyes scanning the list once more before he gets back to work. "You're on there a lot." He mumbles, earning a scoff from Y/n. "You're slut-shaming me?" Jungwon stiffens for a moment but relaxes once more when he sees that Y/n is joking. "More like judging your hook up spot."

This comment causes Y/n to gasp in feigned offence. "Excuse me? How dare you judge the fine art of bathroom make outs?" Jungwon laughs slightly at this. "I'd hardly call kissing in the corner of a trash-filled bathroom a fine art." He gestures around the room to prove his point. 

"That is exactly how I know you've never kissed in here." Y/n jokes, causing Jungwon to sheepishly rub the back of his neck. "Why do you say that?" He asks, laughing awkwardly. "Well, first of all, your name’s not on the list." Y/n points out. Jungwon goes to mumble something about it being the destruction of property but is quickly interrupted. “Secondly, you've been blushing this entire conversation.” Y/n continues, taking the chance to quickly poke Jungwon's dimple. "And thirdly, you don't just kiss in the corner. That's where the spiders are. The basin is much more comfortable."

Jungwon struggles to hide his shock as he chokes on his saliva. He doesn’t know what he was expecting, but it certainly wasn’t the basin. “Need a demonstration?” Y/n asks, smirking. Before Jungwon can even comprehend a response (at least one that wouldn’t result in him embarrassing himself) Y/n is already pushing the remaining trash and drywall off the basin and onto the floor. Jungwon watches in half shock, half amusement as Y/n lifts themself up onto the now clear basin.

“So whoever you’re making out with would sit here. You’ve just gotta be careful of the tap because let me tell you, hitting your tailbone on that hurts like a bitch.” Jungwon’s not sure when this turned into a walk-through but he watches carefully anyway as Y/n playfully smiles at him.

Jungwon loves their smile - even though most times he’s seen it has been when they’re teasing him. He still loves the way it sits proudly on their face, the way their eyes shimmer and crinkle the wider the grin spreads. He also loves the smile that they show when they don’t think he’s looking. The genuine one, given only to those close enough to deserve it. Jungwon hopes to one day be one of those people.

Amidst his trance, Y/n decides to begin the next part of their tutorial. They quickly reach out to grab Jungwon by the collar of his shirt, pulling him in so that he’s standing between their legs. Being caught off guard, Jungwon presses his hands tightly against the basin on either side of Y/n, catching himself in order to not fall completely on top of them.

“This is where you would stand.” Y/n says innocently as if the position they are now in isn’t entirely suggestive. Jungwon is stunned. Being this close to Y/n brings back all the memories from the library - the way their warm skin felt beneath his cautious touch. Jungwon needs to stop this, for his own sanity.

“We should keep cleaning.” Jungwon mumbles, avoiding eye contact in fear that Y/n’s eyes could convince him to stay. Convince him to do things he most definitely shouldn’t be doing. “I’m just helping, Wonnie. It’s educational.” Y/n pouts, bringing their hands to rest gently on top of Jungwon's. The sudden touch causes his eyes to shoot up to meet Y/n’s.

His first mistake.

Now that they know Jungwon’s attention is fully on them, Y/n continues with their “lesson”. “There’s a lot of different places you could put your hands, depending on what you’re feeling. Most common would be my hips.” Y/n states, bringing Jungwon’s hands to follow their words. “You could also press a hand against the mirror behind me if you need the support.” The add. Jungwon stays silent, the only sound being that of his breathing - which is growing heavier by the minute.

“Any questions so far?” Y/n asks, holding Jungwon’s hands firmly against their hips. Jungwon doesn’t know what to say - doesn’t want to speak in fear of ruining the mood. But in classic Jungwon fashion, he can feel himself responding to Y/n’s question before he can even think. “What if you fall in the sink?”

His second mistake.

Y/n stifles a laugh, which causes Jungwon to blush slightly with embarrassment. “I’d hope you would catch me.” Y/n whispers, bringing one of their hands up to gently push at Jungwon’s chest. “But I would also hold onto you, that way if I do slip, you’ll be able to hold me up…” Y/n trails off, wrapping their arms securely around Jungwon’s neck. They make sure to gently play with some of the hair there, earning a slight but definitely noticeable shudder from Jungwon. “And all that would be left to do is kiss.” Y/n mumbles, blatantly staring at Jungwon’s lips. 

The two are silent for a second as the reality of the situation begins to set in. Y/n glances back up at Jungwon’s eyes, smiling cheekily at him. Jungwon’s eyes ever so slightly flicker down to Y/n’s lips. A move so quick, that if Y/n weren’t looking directly into his eyes, they most likely would have missed it. But with the close proximity of their faces and Y/n’s apparent love for eye contact, the tiny glimpse does not go unnoticed.

His third mistake. 

Jungwon continues to make a few more decisions that could be considered mistakes. Such as the mistake of leaning in as Y/n brings their lips closer to his. The mistake of tightening his grip on Y/n’s hips as they pull him closer to their body, adjusting the angle so their lips lock together just right. The mistake of opening his mouth when Y/n’s tongue gently brushes against his bottom lip. And many, many more.

Kissing Y/n is something Jungwon thought he could only ever dream of doing. But as Y/n’s hand tugs gently on his hair - bringing him even closer into their hold and pulling him into yet another kiss, it finally starts to sink in exactly what he’s doing.

Jungwon should be overjoyed. But an over-looming feeling of confusion starts to wash over him, the longer his lips stay intertwined with Y/n’s. In his experiences, people kiss him because they see him as more than a friend. With Y/n, he can’t even tell if they see him as a friend. In a few weeks, they’d gone from absolutely hating his guts, to kissing him in an abandoned bathroom. The sudden switch up makes Jungwon feel like he’s got whiplash.

A sudden commotion of people in the halls causes Jungwon to quickly pull away from Y/n’s lips. The teachers are talking about him - likely wandering the halls in an attempt to track him down and ask for some help. He mentally battles with himself on what to do. Getting caught making out in the bathrooms by teachers is embarrassing for any student, let alone Jungwon. It’d do wonders to his reputation - not in a good way. But on the other hand, he will likely never get the chance to be this close to Y/n again.

Y/n can practically see the dilemma on his face and reaches forward to gently peck his lips. “Go do your job, Prez.” They whisper, reaching up to poke his cheek once more. Jungwon gulps, mumbling a quick apology before stepping away from Y/n completely.

That’s how Y/n finds themself sitting alone in the abandoned bathrooms - the feeling of Jungwon still fresh on their lips despite him being gone for almost 10 minutes now. Jungwon’s not the only one feeling confused, as they sit there wondering what the hell just happened. Kissing him was certainly not part of the original plan. But they suppose if it’ll help with convincing Jungwon to change the dress code… there’s nothing wrong with getting something extra along the way.

I've finished season 1 btw, but here's how aroace Helly can still win:

1. Compulsory allosexuality/romanticism is completely plausible here.

We know that the innies carry the subconscious elements of their outies' trauma with them. While I'm not very far into season 2 yet, I do feel safe making the call that Helena likely feels a lot of pressure to live up to the expectations that come with being an Eagen. I mean come on, Lumon basically worships them.

So who's to say that Helly R doesn't feel the same pressure in a more nebulous kind of way? Maybe to her it translates more into a pressure to societally conform, to act more like a normal Human. I won't beat around the bush, amatonormativity is a plague on our society, it's so ingrained in our media and everything, we are surrounded by this message that we will all one day have a soulmate to marry. Plus, Helena might also feel especially pressured by this as I imagine that she has some sort of obligation to continue the Eagen family bloodline. When Helly started feeling a deeper connection with Mark, maybe she decided "oh. I guess that means I'm into him" and just rolled with it. That's the exact same way I started dating my current partner (turns out both of us were aspec actually peace and love on planet aroace).

2. But what about her seeming jealous about Miss Casey?

When our allo friends get into relationships it usually means that we become second place to them. It fucking sucks. Reassurance that they still care is really nice, but it can be hard to ask for without coming across as. Well jealous.

3. Do the innies know about aromanticism and asexuality?

I don't know.

Obviously, Irving and Bert are Achillean and no one treats it as Different, so from this we could assume that the innies don't have socially constructed ideas of different sexualities, but it's also possible that they do but just. Don't really care. The more pressing Thing with their relationship is that Any workplace romance is against the rules.

There's another thing we can look at here which is that when Milchick explains the Miss Cobel Stuff to Mark, the way he words it implies that Mark S doesn't already know what a throuple is. Again, there's some room for interpretation here, Milchick could just be talking down to him, but I find it more plausible that the innies wouldn't know. They're completely isolated from all outside culture, so why wouldn't that include queer culture? I doubt any of them know what queerplatonicism is either, or other expressions against amatonormativity.

4. So why would Helly feel conformist pressure to not be true to her sexuality, but not Irving or Bert?

As covered in section 1, Helly carries subconscious baggage more closely related to conformity, while Irving seems to have. Something else going on. I'm not super far into season 2 yet.

Irving is also older than Helly, and as a person gets older, they usually feel less pressure to conform to societal expectations.

Monogamous gay relationships also still fit into the model of amatonormativity, still feel "natural" within that societal framework, while being aspec obviously does not. It's not as intuitive to figure out in an amatonormative environment, especially when you don't have the words for it.

I don't have a conclusion paragraph. Uhh tldr: I'm right.

TITANOMACHY:

First of all, I had never heard of this word before (and had never spoken it out loud before until I was reading out the songlist to a friend of mine the other day and stumbled at the first hurdle, so to speak). It means "titan battle", and refers to the mythological 10-year war between the Titans and the Olympians.

Okay so I remembered that Poseidon is older than Zeus (if for no other reason than because of a fan comic by Neal Illustrator), but I had to double check Hades' "sibling position", and yeah he's the oldest.

Anyway, somehow I was not expecting Peter (Zeus) to immediately start singing in a lower vocal range than Luke Holt did as Epic!Zeus! (I know that Luke Holt isn't actually a bass, but still, damn.)

Speaking of Neal Illustrator, hey it's the animatic bit from the teaser trailer! Except it keeps going! And holy damn Neal freaking COOKED with this!

(Also I love the kinda 8-bit sound to the music here, definitely videogame vibes!)

I'm probably gonna talk about the animatics/animations more than the illustrations, but GODDAMN were there some killer illustrations in this! Like I wanna put some of them up on my bedroom wall, they're just so good!

"Assemble the judges, half of six" at first I was just like "man we're really reaching for a rhyme for River Styx, huh? But then I was like wait, this is the third song of act 1, which is six songs total, meaning we'r currently at the "half of six" point! Very clever honestly (ain't no way that's unintentional!)

JP Warner! He didn't just do the mixing and mastering for these songs, but also he voices one of the judges, Aeacus! :D (No clue how to pronounce that, lol rip)

The animation of some poor soul getting whacked off the ferry by the ferryman's oar is hilarious honestly. Absolutely be nice to Charon, don't get on his bad side!

When Persephone grabs Hades' hand, vines come and wrap around both their wrists, I guess as a symbol of their strong connection, but the vines have thorns, which I guess represents how them being together does kinda have some repercussions? Idk I'm speculating here.

As Hades' chariot is riding across/above the River Styx, Persephone reaches down and dips her hand into the water, and then splashes Hades with it. People in the premiere chat were like "ah! finally! Wet Hades!" (surely that was a deliberate inclusion, come on)

Omg I just realized that in the illustration by Vannahbloom, there's a small patch of warm orange just underneath Persephone's foot, while the rest of the group is a cool blue! (Watching this in full-screen helps as well)

So I'm pretty sure what Persephone is saying is "just remember that I am a whole person [or goddess, I suppose], and I'm not just something pretty to look at or 'possess'. I would like to properly form a bond with you so long as you're willing to also properly form a bond with me in return."

THERE IS NO NAME:

Is the pronunciation of Demeter's name like a solid set-in-stone thing or is it a tomayto tomahto situation? Because like it's pronounced deh-MEE-ter here, but I always thought it was DEH-meh-ter. But then again, my idea of Hephaestus' name pronunciation was incorrect for years until I watched the Percy Jackson series and I was like "wait that's how it's pronounced?" So what do I know

This repeating piano melody is so eerie! Like it sounds like it's got a slight echo to it maybe? And the notes sound so "heavy", like someone is really hitting every single key. (I don't actually play piano, this is just my interpretation)

Who did the scream? Was that also Jen?

What are these whispers saying? The only word I can make out is "underworld"

"He defiled her! He stole her! He gave her no choice!" These are basically just spoken lines and yet it sounds completely different to Jen's regular speaking voice (especially as Jen is from England, but you can't hear any of her typical accent here!). Voice acting queen!

Honestly, the whole 'they're 35+ (or 40+) and they look like they're 20' has not a lot of merit to me. Just because a woman is past the age of 39 does not mean she turns old and decrepit.

Like Ashe, for example. I always thought she was in her mid thirties, and I didn't think it was unreasonable for her to be that old. And from what I've hear (people can correct me if I'm wrong), people in Overwatch's time have been living way longer than we do now (Like, well past 100). If that's the case, then Ashe isn't even middle aged yet.

Though I will say, the only character I've had with a problem with is Sojourn because of her gray hair but she still looked so young. She was supposed to be in her fifties, but she didn't look the part--I just thought she was in her thirties.

I'm also not trying to justify Blizzard's character design, but I'm just tried of people thinking older people (especially women) should look ancient at 45.

With the whole life expectancy thing I couldn't find anything confirming or denying it but it should be said that irl, life spans are increasing. So it is safe to assume that with Overwatch taking place in a sci-fi future where there have been multiple break throughs in medical science that life spans have most likely increased. Not only that but I think we as a society are not used to the image of a women in their late 30s/early 40s without the stress of multiple kids. Yes Ashe runs the Deadlock gang but she does run it alone, she has Frankie and Benz to help her. So yeah she isn't going to be looking the same as what is typically expected of a women that age because as a society we are still used to women that age having multiple kids by that point.

As for Sojourn, an excuse could be made by the fact that she is mostly cybernetic. In the book I'm pretty sure it states that she has head plating and stuff so that could be affecting her physical aging. As for her age... I'm sorry but right now her age is like Kiriko in the fact that it doesn't make sense. With her current age she would have been 14 when she joined the military, not only that but her sister would have been the same age when she gave birth to Bonnie. So yeah. I'm choosing to believe she's the same age as Jack until they change her age to something reasonable.

It still isn't as bad as Kiriko, cause I recently found out her age doesn't even make sense with her own lore cause she was twelve when Sojiro was assassinated. Sojiro had to be assassinated at the very least 12 years ago, which would put Kiriko's at the age of 24, not 21. So Kiriko's age is broken broken.

Can you tell I want to hit my head against a wall?

Anyway I do agree that Sojourn doesn't make much sense without an explanation and even the explanation I gave for why she might look like that is a bit spotty.

//The frustration is so real.... Here comes a work vent... If it's not you're thing, just ignore. I'll delete later, but I'm desperately needing to get this off my chest.

I've never been so utterly frustrated with work.

We have a young clerk that we hired back a little over a year ago. She's 21 now, has a one year old and is dealing with the kid's father, who is younger and cheated on her. So he's not really in the picture, so to speak. She lives with her mom right now.

She worked here when she was in school, but when c/vid hit, the owner "furloughed" her and someone else. Both ended up quitting. She was hired back when we had someone else quit last year since she was already somewhat trained.

Was fine at first, but her attitude towards others, we have learned, isn't the best. We've had mentions that she has been rude and at least 1 customer literally said that she has the personality of a tree. She has also been "written up" once or twice before.

She is currently less than part time so she can keep her state health insurance.

I've given her the benefit of the doubt, of course. Maybe it's just being blown out of proportion, but as time went on, she's become more and more flaky and undependable. Almost every pay period since she's been back she has missed a day a two. Either due to her kid or herself constantly being sick, which I get. It happens, but it's become such a regular thing anymore. Sometimes she'll also say she has some kind of emergency and is very vague about details and when or if she will be at work, which gives us little time to get coverage for her, if any. One time she was supposed to cover for someone on Saturday, but the day of, she was suddenly sick. This has happened on more than one occasion.

When she does mark herself off, she tends to either forget to tell anyone or just assumes it's fine. For example, a couple days prior, she half heartedly mentions that she won't be in on a Monday because it's her son's first birthday and it's special. Mondays are normally busy and she didn't even mark it down.

On top of this, she is supposed to take 30 minute lunch breaks. She marks herself down for such, but spends an additional 20 or so in the restroom afterwards. It might as well be an hour, but it's clearly not marked that way. Let alone the fact that she just randomly disappears in the middle of stuff for the same amount of time without saying anything multiple times per day.

So recently, several of us has voiced our frustrations with her. My husband, who is mostly in charge of the scheduling, talked with the owner, who already isn't fond of her because she has a nose ring, among other things. Supposedly he just wanted to fire her, but they're going with another approach. Getting fazed out, in a way. She will get her hours cut starting next week when school is out and two of our other employees can actually show up and work.

My husband informed her of this last Wednesday, after she somehow suddenly became sick and wanted to leave at 3. Afterwards, she left upset, and later texts him asking if she were to "accept" these new hours, which would be 3-6 m-f (because she doesn't want to work Saturdays, which is just 9-1), if she could get a raise...

When I was told about this, I couldn't wrap my head around it.... So she wanted more money for less work?!! And the fact that she assumed it was a choice?? I'm just.... I don't....

I have worked here for more than ten years and I don't think I've ever dealt with this amount of stress with another clerk. I am also a clerk. I am full time and, anymore, I feel like I'm babysitter when she's here just to make sure she isn't rude with people.

Maybe this is selfish of me. I'm older than she is, obviously. I have no kids and don't plan on having any, but as someone who doesn't and has had to work since I was 18, lost 2 parents at 20, and moved out shortly after to get away from my abusive step mother, I've been fortunate enough to work my way up to this point where my husband and I are stable with money and stuff and still have some luxuries sometimes. It wasn’t easy by any means.

And to some extent, I have some of my mom's leftover life insurance money to thank for a few things, but aside from that, neither of us were never just handed anything. We both have had to work our asses for this.

I will admit, her situation sucks all around. We have at least one tech who is against the idea of cutting her hours. He told my husband that it's "evil" and she's just a kid.

Maybe I am selfish. I have no kids and I don't know what it's like, but it's increasingly difficult for me to feel sorry for someone who's work ethic is almost nonexistent and just thinks she can get away with being paid more for doing as little as possible. Let alone made some poor life choices. I hate that I have think of it this way and I feel terrible, but I'm just frustrated to no end anymore.

Juro: Shiba says 426 izumi is 3 times older than kurabe which fits in with him getting "killed" last loop at 32 and being born the previous one. So ida has aged normally he does look 32 but what about morimura she was 32 when she killed izumi and saved teen ida but she died that time. So where'd the current morimura come from either she is escaped the destroyed city and is 48 and the sprite doesnt show it, she got another clone and accelerated it's growth, ida was able to reconstruct her dat despite dying or i once again got the chronology wrong. Oh but there's also the ufo... I really need to go check the event viewer. And then there's okino who i cant tell if they've been using sector 0 or not. I take back everything, nope im just confused. Unless the prison scene happened before the he killed the compatible. Wait why is onishi here i though each loop every person is recreated in the same sector. Ok... Morimura was a student 1 loop ago... Oh i forgot that ida wouldn't normally age past 16 so when we see him at 19? 20? That must have been the next loop. Yeah i dont know when any of these events happen.

Ok so morimura WAS trying to turn kurabe juro into 246 izumi juro, got confused whether it was just 426 in shiba or if morimura was also trying. Morimura was already trying to recreate 426 izumi before kurabe juro ever found 426 in the android. And then kurabe tamao was the one to create the kurabe juro personality. I'm assuming this is android tamao, grandma tamao really is a wasted character but if an older version exists in 1984 why dont we see 56 year old versions of the other characters? Like older miura and hijiyama in 1984. 426: hey what if we changed the rules of the game so that we scored points for every kill, a meta prize. Damn this game because scored points from kills are how the neta system is upgraded. Wait that also means in the 426 izumi was the one that saved everyone because as seen in the final battle he did change the rules and now i can upgrade sentinels with meta chips. Wasn't sure for.. well even now if his method of saving the world would even work considering he also tried the kill everyone strat. Hmm this is the 2nd? 3rd time megumi, is 426 really the cat?? But that last scene from 2188 implies the cat is 2188 major izumi. 2188 juro war buddies with megumi's dad.

Time to sort through events. Right ufo okino died to get morimura and izumi out to sector 0. Next .loop they're undocumented and bomb shikishima's interstellar project. Oooh prison scene is earlier. Right morimura had to leave izumi behind so he got imprisoned as 426. Kaiju invade, morimura picks up ida and the other compatible. 426 izumi does the murdering. Morimura sacrifices herself to send ida to sector 0. Oooh I see the morimura of ida's loop was also sent with him that's how she end up 16 years "in the past" and also meeting up with ida. I see where i hot confused, forgot there could be multiple morimuras running around at the same time. The other part i was confused about was last time i saw the scene i still thought the two morimuras were the same person but no they're from different loops. So ida and morimura on sumire bridge are the current ones in the game. So it is 3 loops total: okino morimura izumi ufo, most of the stuff, the ida and morimura from the last loop but not the older one he was with in the current loop. Watched relentless nightmare again, sooo that means he failed to kill the morimura of that loop, that shot wasnt fatal because she then grts sent to sector 0 and the current loop. Rewatching reunion see morimura wonders if okino and juro escaped thats why i linked it with the ufo scenes but nope not connected.

Megumi: huh you saying that tamaobot was juro's "baa-chan' this whole time because that's who megumi made a deal with to live with juro. Cat is tied to juro's physical location, yeah wow izumi i think has more costume changes than morimura. So the "magic gun" expands the deimos' capabilities but why do that, unless only way to upgrade sentinels is to let deimos upgrade too an arm race... So was 426 izumi wandering around as an android AND a cat or did the cat only come after the android was destroyed... Or maybe the cat was plan B from the start. Gonna be real this is my least favorite romance so far juro shows no interest in megumi the entire game and it's only in this one scene where he suddenly loves her. To be fair his head is a mess with 3 set of memories and a new personality but still there like no build up or chemistry. Also this is the only scene where he has current loop's izumi juro's memories. Actually scratch that last sentence he does reference piloting in the final battle. Im not even against this romance in concept if anything in concept its really interesting but i didnt like how it played out in game. Maybe its the insomnia talking but does that mean 13 sentinels had catboys all along.

Shu: miyuki being tomi actually makes sense. History with ida who is the one chasing her communications, former live steam singer and last i know of she 426 stole her android body and rhen she because the AI of a sentinel in the failed battle of 2064. "We're genetically identical" is such a devastating insult coming from ida. Ida is such a control freak, says he loves kisaragi tomi but refuses to respect her as a person or allow her any automony. Sentinel 16 is outside the sectors in orbit (or what) inside the command ship i dont know what that means. The moment black suit put away his gun yuki should have grabbed ida's. Eh natsuno i dont remember this.

Ryoko: 426 set up the shifting gates? Gouto says that it was shinonone that gave 426's code to sekigahara that caused the dd426 infection in the battle of 2064. Ahh this is what i get for taking a break i dont remember why 426 caused the infection. Then what was it that ida had ei do to modify the sentinels in 2064? But the flashback reveals that ida wanted ryoko to secretly use dd426 to unlock the sentinels abilities and make them more powerful, going behind morimura's back once again. Ryoko puts dd-426 in ei's sentinel to prove that ida was right. Morimura fails to get the deinfection password from ryoko before she loses her memories. With the sentinels infected morimura gives up on using them which begs the question why are they used in the final battle is everyone just going to get brain damage? Dd-426 sounds like a precursor to the meta chip upgrade system so its possible the magic gun fixed everyone. How did ida get dd-426? Were they working together?

Tomi: ah so thats how they ended up cooperating she was blackmailing okino see this is why i like tomi. Hmm the end of tomi's story matches up with the begining of juro's. The orbiting command ship is an artificial satellite that presides over terraforming for the second stage of the interstellar development project but werent the sectors stuck in 3rd/final phase? Inaba can see all the residential ward system from space huh maybe we arent in the matrix unless the satellite is a part of it too.

It's at the obligatory We-Survived-Again party, hosted by the Wheelers and disguised from their oblivious parents as a massive D&D session, that Eddie starts to realize that maybe he hasn't come out of everything as unscathed as he thought.

Don't get him wrong, the demobat bites hurt like a motherfucker even a week later and he's sure Ozzy's somewhere laughing at the irony of it all, but it's a bit more than just the physical injuries from Jason and his buddies and the Upside Down. His head is pounding, and his limbs feel oddly shaky. Eddie's not sure if it's nerves, or something else, but he'll deal with it later. They're trying to celebrate, here, and he has no intentions of raining on the whole thing.

Unsurprisingly, the kids are all play-fighting with each other in the middle of the Wheeler's basement while Eleven and Max—Eddie's still not quite sure what the former's deal is, but her buzzcut is badass—encourage them from the sidelines, making sure not to jar the latter's broken arm while the rest of them chat idly. Nancy and Jonathan are talking quietly, while Steve is staring wide-eyed at Argyle while the other teen starts rolling a joint and Robin grins at Steve's side. Eddie probably should join a conversation, it's not like he even knows half of these people, but he's feeling run-down and this probably isn't going to end for another hour and he's pretty much obligated to be there. He's part of this now, so it would be rude to—

"Eddie, right?"

He looks up to see Jonathan making hesitant eye contact, looking just as exhausted as Eddie feels. "Jonathan Byers. I'm Will's older brother; he's the kid with the bowl cut currently fighting with Mike."

Eddie glances over to see that Mike is, indeed, wrestling with who he assumes is Will, then back to Jonathan. Nancy's joined Steve and Robin, so at least she's not alone, but Eddie's even less familiar with Jonathan than almost anyone else here. "Yeah, I'm Eddie."

Jonathan gives him a tired smile. "Welcome to the club."

That startles a laugh out of him, and Eddie shakes his head, still in disbelief over the fact that they actually managed to survive this entire ordeal. "Thanks, man. How long have you... you know."

"Since the very beginning," Jonathan says quietly, looking over to Will. "It started with the kids, and then Nancy, and I. Steve found out, and then Robin, and now, you."

"Jesus," Eddie murmurs, then turns away to sneeze into his elbow. "hg'SHT! ih'shXt! h'SHtt! Oh, fuck, sorry."

"Bless you," he says. "You alright?"

"Yeah, no, I'm fine. Must be the dust, or something." Eddie waves his concern off, ignoring the way the itch is still blooming in his sinuses. "Anything I need to know? I haven't really had time to, you know, adjust, considering I was actively being hunted down by a bunch of jocks, but hey. It is what it is," he says, shrugging, and to his credit, Jonathan doesn't even do a double take.

Instead, he nods sagely, as if that's a normal experience (and Eddie really, really hopes it's not), and says, "The nightmares go away, eventually. It takes a little while, and they're fucking terrifying when they first start, but they go away."

"Have yours?"

Jonathan gives a wan smile. "Not yet."

Before Eddie can ask another question—maybe about how Jonathan got involved in the first place—Steve wanders over, says, "Hey, Byers," in this weird tone, and Eddie glances between the two of them for a moment.

"Hey, Harrington," Jonathan says, and his shoulders slump even further, his posture sags, and he just looks so, so exhausted, more than enough to rival the way Eddie feels right now. "I'm sorry we weren't here."

"Are you actually going to apologize for that?" Steve asks, eyes going wide. "Dude, you had no control over that. Plus, Mike's told me a bit of what happened on your end and Jesus Christ, man."

Eddie walks away, leaving them to the rest of their conversation, and settles into the corner to watch the rest of it unfold. Everyone else knows what's happening, has been a part of this for longer than he has, is catching up with each other and exchanging stories, and Eddie doesn't quite know where he fits into it all.

He just wants to go home and collapse into his bed.

But Eddie stands there, silent and more than slightly miserable, for another hour before leaving unannounced. No one seems to notice his departure, and honestly, it's a relief as he unlocks the trailer and crawls underneath his blankets.

The world can wait. He needs a minute. A week. A year.

the only exceptions are cats like Airleap, who were born intersex. he was born with outside female genitalia, BUT he actually has inner male genitalia as well- he is infertile on both spectrums because of this. because he was born with female genitalia, his clanmates assumed he was female, but once he started gaining tomscent and he said he was a tomkit, they more easily began using his he/him pronouns because, on first smell, he smells like a tom. in the clans, its a little harder for a non-obvious-intersex character to socially transition because cats are like "oh but you have XYZ, not ABC" but the clans are generally more accepting, to a degree. they're still some sexism, transphobia, homophobia, etc.

FireAlder and I actually thought about the different clan cultures and who accepts what most.

Twolegplace cats, e.i. BloodClan, are the most accepting cats (see: non-binary cats Brick, Gremlin, Bubbles, etc.), being a lot more open in their "we don't care abt ur gender..." though they are sexist/oppressive specifically towards cats who can have kits

RiverClan and WindClan are about equal for their acceptance. they're supportive and encouraging of same sex relationships (this actually makes Thistlestar feel out of place at times, bcus he suppressed his bisexuality, and embraced homophobia)

ShadowClan and ThunderClan are less excepting, but as the older cats age out, ShadowClan has become a touch more excepting while ThunderClan is currently the most homophobic clan thanks to Frostfur's mental health deterioration ruining her kits' and their friends' perspective of it

so yes it's simply they get referred to with their preferred pronouns and are seen by their chosen gender! :) no physical transition

Redtail knew he was gay from a young age, was worried about it but received mostly support and was open about it, and Runningwind developed a crush on Redtail as a young apprentice but didn't realize he only liked toms until he was a warrior

Feathercloud also knew he only liked toms from a young age too, often falling for anyone who was even a little kind to him, Ravenwing thought he had crushes on she-cats but realized he didn't actually and only liked toms that he was close to because they were the only ones who gave him a super fluttery feeling (demi-gay), and Barley is gay too.

“do you think johnny hyung will kill us if we do this??”

“last time we did, he almost cremated us into paste. let’s do it,”

“hell yeah,”

you and the little sunshine himself, lee donghyuck, we’re currently hovering over your tired leader’s sleeping expression, while setting up alarm clocks around him strategically.

both of you guys were known as “the twins of nct”, with the two of you being gemini’s and similar in personality, that name was bound to come around. the slightly younger male next to you snickered as he set up the alarm clocks, and fleeing along with you once it was all set up.

once the two of you got into a safe position, you looked at the timer on your phone, and the alarm clocks were going to set off in 5 minutes. sure you got an earful from doyoung and mark cussed you out in english, but it was worth seeing their funny reactions.

the tan-skinned male pulled out a small tablet and turned on the screen, and what appeared on the screen was camera viewings of each member’s rooms, all of them sleeping soundly, unknowing of the danger that awaits them.

both of you snickering quietly to yourselves, you both sat on the couch, awaiting the amazing reactions that was gonna come from your fellow bandmates, but you both were unknowing on the figure standing behind you.

“what are the two of you doing?” johnny, one of the older members asked you suspiciously, making you both freeze up and turn around nervously. “o-oppa! uh— well we were just- y’know—“

“AHHH WHAT IS THAT SOUND—“

your statement was quickly interrupted when you heard the familiar voice of your fellow member jungwoo. both you and the soft-faced male both turned over to the screen with excited smiles, while johnny tried to peer over your shoulders to see what you two were looking at.

“what did the two of you do this time?” he questioned, as if you guys were some sort of criminals. “just gave them a nice good morning greeting~” the sunshine maknae said cheekily while he was watching his members catastrophe in the cameras.

despite the fear and terror that ran through your bodies when entering the member’s rooms, it was so worth the risk. jaehyun was trying to calm down a screaming jungwoo, your leader knocked over various things on his nightstand which hit mark on his toes, but the cherry on top was yuta desperately trying to turn off the alarms with his sleeping mask still on, running into taeil on the way as well.

you and the devilish maknae exploded with euphoria, you could feel tears of joy pricking at the corners of your eyes while donghyuck was hunched over his seat laughing out loud. johnny just sighed, growing tired of your guy’s antics, but he could feel the small smile teasing the corners of his lips.

after the whole fiasco went down, all of the members went downstairs and you laughed even more at their tired and sleepy faces. they looked angry, but you knew deep down that they actually didn’t have the energy to be mad at you.

the first one to speak up was none other than taeyong himself. “did you brats start this whole thing?” he questioned in a somewhat intimidating tone, but his tough facade soon fell after he saw the both of you laugh even more, making his face light up a bit.

in between huffed pants, a familiar cute voice answered. “y-yes, hyung! it was us!” donghyuck replied, still trying to catch his breaths while you were already gone on the couch. “why did you guys do that!? i was just sleeping after staying up last night!” mark yelped out in a distressed voice, automatically switching to english, so you assumed the statement was directed towards you. “s-sorry mark! we just wanted to prank you guys a bit..” You said still recovering from your laughter, which can be seen through your stuttery tone. you were born and raised in a country that spoke english, so you obviously knew how to speak it.

before the other members could counter, a voice of reason spoke up. “alright guys let’s just get ready for the day, at least y/n and donghyuck are ready for training,” johnny said as-a-matter-of-factly, leaving the other members dumbfounded.

“hyung but they—“

“did i stutter?”

“ON IT—“

“hey give me the strawberry mochi,”

“no i’m not, donghyuck.”

“why not???”

“because i’m older than you,”

“yeah by like only two weeks,”

“still,”

“both of you just shut up and eat your food,” doyoung said a bit irritated by your guy’s bickering, making the two of you chuckle cheekily as you went back to eating your food. you and the boys just finished rehearsing your newest comeback, superhuman. it was a nice change of pace for a song, given that it was very positive and energetic.

“hey y/n— aren’t you gonna visit the dreamies with haechan soon?” johnny asked you, while you were munching on your delicious cold snack. you swallowed the food and replied. “yeah we will, right after lunch actually,”

“the two of you are lucky, i can’t see them any time soon,” mark said sulkily, making you chuckle. “must suck to suck, mark,” “shut up.” mark said while playfully punching you in the shoulder, which resulted in you punching him back. your little banter was soon interrupted when a familiar voice ringed in your ears.

“ay what’s up twins of nct!?”

“eyyyy jaemiiiiin!!”

you and sunny hyuck got up excitedly to be met with the two members of nct dream, na jaemin and huang renjun. you all did a signature handshake you came up with and laughed while the 127 brothers watched you guys with happy smiles. “how have you guys been?” the chinese boy asked curiously while donghyuck waved him off. “pssh! we are fiiine~ mark was being annoying as always,”

“i’m right here!”

“i know~”

the flirt of the dreamies just chuckled and wrapped his arm around you, pulling you closer to him, much to your surprise. “well let’s go! chenle and jisung planned some awesome things back at the dorm, and jeno is cooking some good food too!” jaemin exclaimed, but his smile disappeared when he heard the familiar sound of someone clearing their throat and putting their hand on his shoulder.

“and will you kiddos cause any trouble? i don’t want managers to come and cause some more chaos while you guys are away.” taeyong asked sternly to the younger male, causing him to gulp the lump in his throat. “w-well hyung- we were gonna just play games and stuff...” he said nervously while you silently snickered at him. you knew taeyong just didn’t want anything bad happening to you, considering that jaemin made a particularly inappropriate joke that quite literally almost landed him in the wrath of mom taeyong.

“are you sure about that, jaemin?”

“yes i’m sure!”

“don’t worry about it taeyong, they won’t do anything.” johnny said while approaching the duo, making jaemin sigh in relief. taeyong just sighed and let go of jaemin’s shoulder. “alright, but if you brats do anything i’m gonna—“ “taeyong.”

the leader slightly froze at johnny’s words and didn’t say anything further. but when johnny walked away, he turned back to renjun and jaemin and said seriously, but cutely. “i’m watching you.” in english before walking out of the room.

all four of you stood there confused for a moment before letting out joyous laughs. all of you were hunched over trying to catch your breaths while jaemin wiped a tear from his eye. “holy cow hyung is scary! i thought i was gonna die!”

“mhm, i don’t blame ya. however he does have a point, if you do anything to y/n i swear on yo fuckin yEEZY’S—“

“hyuck, not the time.” you said sternly at the slightly younger gemini, making him smile cheekily. this overprotective brother side of his really was something. “fine fiiine~ but still, i see you, jaemin.”

“alright alright i won’t do anything!”

“come on guys let’s just go, we don’t wanna keep the others waiting.” renjun said excitedly while running off, making the three of you trail behind him in pure joy, ready for the fun that’s about to start.

I was on your Masterlist, but I haven't seen anything from you in awhile. I found you again, and I can't find myself tagged in any category. I adored your Heart of a Hunter story and read until the baby was saved. Did you add anymore to it? I can't find any but the first 4.5 chapters, though I read all of them. I never got a chance to read your other stories. I've only had my Tumblr for about a year, give or take. I'm an older reader and discovered the series 4 episodes before the series final episode. I've watched a lot of the most popular shows, but I love reading FanFiction stories about the brother's relationship with each other, their dad (and mom), their relationship with girls and the inner turmoil they're having to go through in their lives about their past and what the job they're pretty much forced to do. I wanted to know how to get to your newer stories and chapters of Heart of a Hunter. In fact, all of your stories, including how to find each chapter of each story. I don't know how to easily get them, even when you were reminding me since I was on the list. In fact, I have a lot of trouble finding stories about Supernatural and others shows I really loved like Timeless. Is there a way to find these stories, and would you know how to find stories on FANFICTION and AO3, if I remember correctly. I save stories now, but when I first started reading them on all 3 sites, I didn't keep up with them, then changed phones, etc. I have no idea what the names of these stories I loved, but I could give a summary of many of those stories. I read somewhere that there was a way to find stories a reader has forgotten the name of, etc. Would you know about it, or do you know how I can find out about it from somewhere else? Sorry for all if the questions. My youngest kid left for college, and it's hard for me to figure this stuff out. Lol! Thanks for all of your hard work because even though we love it, writing is a pain and very difficult to do correctly. I actually am a TV scriptwriter. I moved back to Texas from LA to marry and raise our 3 kids here. I'm getting back into it since my youngest moved to college. I also work as an editor to several authors. I'd give anything for Jensen and/or Jared to read my pilot script and/or series bible and want to play the leads. It's a Western set in 1867 Texas. I know Jensen and Danneel are leaning toward him playing superhero type roles like Soldier Boy and more Supernatural, but I wish he'd consider another Western after he went through that terrible tragedy in Rust. He was so excited to be in a real Western! Jared is playing a modern day cowboy as Walker, so I don't know if he'd ever what to do a limited series real Western. Although they still both look very young which is amazing, I'm afraid they'd be older than the main characters who are both in their early 30's. There's quite a few flashback scenes showing them at all ages, but the current years of their Ives are from their early 30's to however long it would last. I just wanted you to know that you have the talent to make your living as a writer, but it can be hard to break into it. Most of the authors I help started by writing Kindle books, but some have become NYT and USA TODAY Best Selling Authors. Thanks for Heart of a Hunter! I hope to hear from you. I have been writing for years (finished my first novel at 19) and have been studying screenwriting for several years now. I am currently working as a Reader/Script Analyst, so I think it's amazing that you're writing pilots and have gotten back into things after the kiddos moved out of the house. I can only imagine what a dream it would be to have your show picked up for production, so wishing you the best of luck with that!

I, too, would love to see Jensen in a western role. I read a screenplay recently for a feature that he would be fantastic for, but all I can do is hope he gives it another try someday.
