They stumble onto you while walking away from a crowd of suitors. With a swift movement, they spin you by your hand and ask you in a whisper if you would like to dance with them, to save them from the proposals. The dance is fun and bubbly, full of twirls and spins, and laughter. The crowd opens around you, more out of annoyance at you accidentally bumping on them, than out of admiration. "I've certainly done my best to try," he admits as Lynn sat down next him. "When she did come back to explain her intentions, Jessie hinted that maybe I should go home... To my family's money and fiance..." He visibly shudders at the thought. "I just couldn't believe after all we've been through, and she's seen how my family is... Why would she even suggest such a thing?"

That was a question he'd probably never understand. The wealth didn't matter to him. Not if it meant he was stuck being miserable with the dominatrix that was his fiance. A woman he was ashamed to admit that he had stupidly fallen for when he was younger. It didn't take long for him to find out what kind of person she really was.

"Needless to say, I didn't follow along with her suggestion. I'd rather take my chances alone than go back to that life." He was indeed relieved with his choice, but to some extent, he still didn't feel much better. "I just wish... that it didn't hurt this much."

"I get wanting to do something on your own," Lynn remarked finding a place to sit beside James. She didn't have much to do at the moment. Most of her deliveries had finally been finished for the day. She could see where Jessie was coming from with that desire. And yet...

"This is gonna sound a little hypocritical coming from me, but even though she did communicate with you ..it's just the idea of tossing it aside, ya know?"

Of course she was more than curious as to what those reasons were. There was a quiet moment as she debating on asking that. She hadn't heard from the two either. Neither had ordered anything from her. So it was anyone's guess on their whereabouts.

"Maybe it is best to move on?" Best to be honest than get his hopes up, right?

So James' birthday is October 7, which makes him a Libra.

Libras are said to be creative and idealistic. Those born under the sign can also be indecisive and often weigh their options, struggling to commit.

He will sometimes read up on this stuff and go down a rabbit hole of which one he thinks he's more compatible with. Overall, if he had to choose, he feels more partial to Cancers.

Despite their hard exteriors, Cancers are deeply emotional creatures. They often experience high levels of sentimentality and compassion.

It may be because he feels like he himself should have been one instead of a Libra (minus the hard exterior, of course) and maybe they would understand him more.

However, none of it really affects whom he chooses to date. Sure, he reads up on this and a lot of other strange things (he totally does not carry around Dracula with him as a guilty pleasure). Hells, he's read a book (that was fake) that told him he had the personality of a Moltres and believed it up until he found out it was a lie (and maybe crushed his spirit a little).

So to some extent, James does find the idea very fascinating and sometimes very convincing, but all in all, after the Moltres thing, he doesn't rely as heavily on the theories as he did a long time ago.

But he does always ponder that question late a night... What if?

He'll admit, a few have caught his attention by appearance. Especially if they're just as much into fashion and beauty as he is.

That being said, James probably goes more by personality than looks.

When it comes down to it, all he really wants is for someone to just accept him as he is. He would do the same in return no matter what, but the more he gets to know and learn about someone he's close with the more open and happy he becomes.

So in a way, maybe both? But more towards personality, for sure.

"Oh, they both had their reasons," James replied with a slight hint of bitterness at the thought. "We all clashed on ideas one day, which wasn't entirely uncommon for us. We've had our moments, but we usually sorted them out, made our peace, and moved on...

"For whatever reason beyond me, this time was different. Meowth didn't come back at all, but Jessie did... Only to tell me that she was going to start doing her own thing... And that was that."

A small sad sigh. "I've been on my own ever since. I briefly tried to find Meowth to see what their deal was, but I had no such luck. I just hope that wherever they both are and whatever they're doing, I at least hope they're ok and happy."
